Stop Trying to Kill Him! (Mira x Lucy)

Mira wasn't a protective girlfriend. That might surprise some people, but it was true. She just wasn't the type of girlfriend to glare at anybody who talked to her girlfriend, or wrap her arm around her girlfriend to pull her to her own body whenever they were in public so that the people around them would know that the blonde with her was taken. 

No, Mira just wasn't the type to be protective. She knew that Lucy was perfectly capable of defending herself against unwanted flirting, even though Mira didn't mind addressing her with terms of endearment if the person who was flirting with the blonde wasn't seeming to understand that she simply wasn't single or interested. 

Mira also didn't mind helping Lucy in a fight, when the blonde needed the help. However, she preferred to let her girlfriend take care of her opponent on her own until it became obvious that she needed help. 

Mira simply didn't want her girlfriend to feel as though she was being coddled or sheltered. The white-haired woman knew that Lucy had spent the majority of her life sheltered inside of a mansion, not allowed to do anything that she wanted. It was expected that Lucy would want to enjoy the freedom that her running away had provided her. Mira didn't want to intrude on that freedom, so she's been remaining mindful of her actions. The last thing she wanted was for Lucy to feel like her own girlfriend was starting to stifle her. 

The white-haired woman, nonetheless, didn't take too kindly to those who insulted her girlfriend. It didn't take long after they began dating for her to learn about Lucy's insecurities. Since acquiring this information, Mira became prone to anger when she heard people pick at her girlfriend's insecurities. 

The main insecurity? Lucy's type of magic. 

It wasn't very uncommon to hear people outside of Magnolia criticize Lucy for the type of magic that she uses. It's been pointed out too many times that Lucy is a hypocrite, claiming that she doesn't use her spirits as shields or objects, only to do exactly that when in a fight. She has also been criticized for not making efforts to find other keys, these critics stating that if she truly cared about celestial spirits as much as she claimed to, then she would make it her mission to find other keys in order to save the spirits from any cruel celestial wizard who would find and abuse them. 

Mira would only scoff and watch with a glare as her girlfriend defended herself. It took much effort to stop herself from punching the offending critic. However, she never wanted to cause a scene or make Lucy feel as though she wasn't able to handle it on her own, instead, the white-haired woman would simply watch with a glare before she and her girlfriend returned to one of their apartments, where she would comfort the upset blonde with a tender touch and soft words. 

It was only a matter of time before she finally snapped and unleashed her anger upon whatever poor soul was stupid enough to insult her girlfriend. 

The day was warm and sunny. Mira and Lucy walked hand-in-hand through the large town. There were many people out of their homes, enjoying the nice summer day. Families, couples, and singles were getting ice cream, shopping, or simply going for a walk. The two Fairy Tail wizards were among the people who were simply going for a walk. 

Lucy suggested after a long stretch of silence, "what do you think about getting some ice cream?" 

Mira smiled at her, answering, "it is a hot day. Ice cream sounds refreshing." 

Lucy smiled back at her and the pair walked toward a nearby ice cream shop, entering and walking toward the counter. Within a few minutes, they had gotten their ice cream, paid, and exited the shop. Mira licked at her scoop of vanilla ice cream, enjoying the feeling of the cold treat slide down her throat and providing her with some relief from the heat of the day. She looked over at Lucy, seeing that her girlfriend was doing the same thing with her own strawberry ice cream cone. 

Mira gave her ice cream another lick before she asked, "do you want to have lunch once we finish our ice cream?" 

Lucy entwined her fingers with Mira's as she answered, "I can eat." 

Mira opened her mouth to ask what she wanted to eat, but was stopped when a man called to them, "excuse me! Are you Mirajane and Lucy from Fairy Tail?" 

The two women turned around to see an attractive, young man walk toward them with a polite smile on his face. Mira smiled back at him and answered, "yes, we are. Do you need something?" 

The man shook his head. "Not really," he said, "I just wanted to ask Lucy something." He looked over at her, as if waiting for her to prompt him to continue. 

Lucy smiled at him and nodded her head, responding, "of course! What did you want to ask?" 

The man gave her a closed-eyed smile as he questioned, "I just wanted to know why you're a member of Fairy Tail when you're such a bad wizard." 

Mira froze at that, her eyes wide. What the hell did this guy say? Who the hell did he think he was? She felt anger bubble within her and her hand tightened around her ice cream cone as her other hand curled into a tight fist. 

She gritted her teeth and watched with a narrowed gaze as Lucy stammered, "I, um...I-I, what?" 

The man leaned a bit closer, chirping, "you're not a very strong wizard, from what I've heard. You aren't strong enough to be on a team with Natsu, Gray, or especially Erza. You can only hold open two golden gates at a time. You also don't up hold the claim that you don't use your spirits as shields or view them as tools. When in a fight, all you do is summon a spirit to fight for you while you do hardly anything. You're quite the hypocrite, aren't you? How can you be a member of the strongest guild when you aren't a very strong wizard yourself." 

As this man chattered on, Mira glared at him. It took every ounce of her self-control to keep herself from attacking this man. She suppressed a sneer as she waited for Lucy to defend herself. 

However, when Lucy didn't say anything, Mira looked over at her. The white-haired woman froze once again, her narrowed eyes widening upon seeing that Lucy was looking away from the man, tears pricking the corners of her eyes. The blonde stepped closer to her girlfriend as her body trembled, just barely noticeable. 

The man laughed at this response, causing Mira to finally snap. She threw down her ice cream cone and snarled at the man as she stepped toward him, "you have no right to say such mean and untrue things!" 

With a burst of magic, Mira had transformed into her Satan Soul form. She scowled as she grabbed the man's collar and lifted him up. She took a moment to enjoy the sight of the man's fear-stricken expression before she prepared to throw him across the road, at the front of a shop. She was just about to throw him when she felt Lucy wrap her arms around her arm, yelling, "Mira! Stop trying to kill him!" 

Mira looked down at her girlfriend, seeing the blonde gaze up at her with pleading, tearing-up eyes. The take-over mage sighed and released the fearful man before she deactivated her spell, returning to her original form. She turned her eyes on the man and growled at him, "don't come near my girlfriend again!" 

When the frightened man nodded silently, Mira wrapped her arms around Lucy and ushered her away.

mirabelle and isabeau isat are so very close to my heart if i can be real and true with you.

mira....shes aroace in exactly the same way that i am and ive NEVER seen that before..... shes just like me fr in a lot of ways but esp in that. feeling like her aroaceness is a sign of immaturity, like she should grow out of it. seeing romance and sex as experiences worth having, and being unable to tell if her discomfort with it is because its not for her or if its just new and therefore scary.

I never wanted to make this post but it’s been on my mind for months now and I need to SPEAK MY TRUTH

If Junpei and Akane ever had sex (disgusting don’t make me think about that), don’t you dare tell me Akane would peg him. Because this simply isn’t true. It’s not that Akane isn’t enough of a #girlboss or that junpei can’t be pegged, no. It’s just that if these two fucking idiots ever actually ended up in this situation they would literally have the worst sex I’m talking the straightest most painful shit imaginable. Akane is laying there trying to figure out which fake moans sound most appropriate what kinda facade does she want to put on does she want to sound like SUPER into it or maybe it’d be more believable if she sounded only kinda into it. Whatever makes it end faster. Junpei starts off asking if she’s okay and his heart is pounding but not in a good way it’s a sense of dread and then like 2 seconds in he realizes that this shit is not worth it at all it’s wrong on every level good lord what’s even happening he’s not even trying he’s actually falling asleep. Akanes hair gets caught in something, Junpei is honest to god making bad small talk to make it less awkward, there’s a baby crying next door really loudly, Akane just texts Aoi to call dramatically saying he’s dying just so she has an excuse to leave. She could’ve communicated through the field but she was literally just that bored. Afterwards they do not speak about what the fuck just occurred, they just reevaluate their life choices and watch tv

Johan/Mira/Zack Reunion

Inspired by @mymxnfgh and @the-razy-pie-rope. Haven't been able to stop thinking about this scene and my own HC. Not sure if I've quite hit the right tone but this has been in my head constantly. Wishful thinking that PTJ isn't going to drag this out for a hundred more chapters...

Johan is rescued and recuperating in hospital

Johan finds himself waking up to blinding lights and deafening beeps.

Was he still trapped in the nightmare with the Workers? Kept half alive, stuck in the hellish limbo between life and death?

Regrets usually overwhelm his moments of semi-consciousness. Leaving his mother behind, to suffer on her own. Leaving Eden and Miro, thinking their master has abandoned them. Leaving Zack and Mira, treading this path of solitude.

Half thoughts would form and disappear before he could fully grasp on to them. But the loneliness and sadness he recalls clearly, could recall clearly for years.

Even as he now tries to open his eyes, they remain unfocused. He lifts his hands to rub at them, and can't relish the freedom that he is no longer strapped down. His brain too cloudy and hazy, not yet processing anything in the present.

"Johan?" a female voice calls out to him, one that he used to so fondly think of. Alas, just another trick of the mad scientist's drugs.

"I'll go get the doctor," A chair scrapes and he remembers self-assured footsteps that used to sound like that too.

Johan goes back under.

Hushed voices awaken him.

This time, Johan manages to see the outline of his two friends by the end of his bed. Another hallucination? They don't really look anything like how he sees them in his mind's eye.

Mira is older, her hair longer. Bags hang heavy under her eyes, and her face blotchy and tear-stained. Like she hasn't been at peace for days, maybe weeks.

And that's Zack? His hair is dishevelled, like he ran his hands one too many times through it. This Zack has seen better days, his clothes are rumpled and wrinkled. And he now wears so many more visible scars than Johan remembers.

Mira is the one that first notices Johan's confused and conscious eyes.

"Fuck. Zack, I'll go-" and she sprints out.

"Johan?" Zack looks towards the bed and approaches cautiously, as if any sudden movement could break the moment, the realisation that Johan is okay. A little- a lot worse for wear, but fine. Alive.

"What-" Johan starts to cough, his throat croaky and words feeling unfamiiar.

Zack rushes to help him sit up, pressing a plastic cup of water into his hand. Johan gulps it down.

"Johan..." Zack takes the cup back and just holds it. Staring at him, never looking away. Watching him as if he might flee any moment despite his condition.

"What happened?"Johan tries, his voice rough and quiet.

"Johan..." Zack repeats again, ignoring the question. A thousand emotions fly through his eyes and he crushes the cup in his hand. He bites his lip to stop the tremble and the burning and the hurt spilling out but it doesn't work.

"Johan, Johan..." he murmurs, like a prayer. Like a prayer that's been whispered in the dead of night thousands of time before and has finally been answered. His voice thick with emotion, eyes wet and glistening. He drops the cup and both hands grasp onto Johan's arm instead.

Holding him steady, holding him so he would never leave again.

"You idiot, you fucking idiot," Zack stares down incredulously at the connection he's made, skin to skin, that he wouldn't sure if he would ever make again. The tears now falling thick and fast.

"How could you do this to us? How could you just leave us? And try to do this all your own? You just left us."

Zack's grip tightens. He feels the burning in his chest, but this time like his heart is breaking.

"Do you know how hard I've fought to find you? Do you know how worried Mira has been? Do you know how much your mom asks about you?"

His clamp now turning painful, but Johan couldn't bring himself to shake him off.

"Everytime I got close to you, you ran away. I've looked everywhere for you. I've gotten so much fucking stronger for you."

Johan avoids his eyes, cheeks burning with shame and remorse.

"If anything happened to you... we, I-," Zack leans forward, resting his head on Johan's shoulder, the tears soaking through the hospital shirt, "How could you leave me to explain this to your mom? This would have killed her. This would have killed all of us. And I would have to tell them..."

A pause.

"...If not today then someday. That their son and best friend is dead." Zack whispers, looking at him. Sadness and fury shining in his eyes.

Dead? Sure,Johan's toed the line between reckless and stupidity a few times but that wouldn't have happened, right? He's invincible. Almost. Sometimes. Maybe not at all.

"I hate you so much, you fucking asshole,"

Johan sits unmoving, all of Zack's words rattling in his brain, trying to defy his years of selfish, childish logic.

Why would these people still care about him when he had abandoned them? He had done nothing to deserve them. To earn their friendship or love. Every move he made he pushed them further away.

"I can't believe you. You fucking asshole," Zack wraps himself around Johan, ignoring any of his pain or discomfort or wires. The need to be close and stay close too great.

"I..." Johan turns over the thoughts and memories in his brain. Everything over the last few years, all that time trapped in the basement and trapped in his own head.

The words are lodged in his throat.

"I..." Johan tries again. This time his nostrils sting and his eyes burn, "Zack... I," All those years of foolishness and where has it gotten him? Gun didn't want him, God Dog didn't want him, he didn't cure his mother's eyes and his own has just gotten worse. Fuck.

The lump in his throat becomes too big to swallow, and the tears too heavy to blink back.

If he had stayed exactly where he was, would he have been any worse off? Would he have been able to stay by his mother's side, and with Zack and Mira instead of wasting all that time for nothing?

He's hurt everyone around him, thinking he was doing the right thing.

"I'm... I'm sorry," Johan finally manages. The grief finally pouring out. His nose runs and his eyes stream but he could do nothing to stop it

"Zack, I should have-" he hiccups. The words and apology form but saying them fully, manifesting them into existence would be a pain Johan didn't know if he could bear yet. "I didn't-"

"Shut up," Zack cuts him off and just grabs onto him impossibly tighter as Johan's hands cling to whatever fabric or skin he can find.

He's missed this feeling. Comfort, security, friendship. Like he's got someone in his corner. Like he has a home.

Johan finds another weight bearing down on his other side. He turns to see Mira embracing him.

"M-Mira?"

She looks at him, the same heartache and distress reflected on her face as Zack's. As if they blame themselves for not being able to hold on to him, to stop him going down the wrong path.

"I've missed you so much," her tears fall freely, running down the well-worn tracks where they have been falling constantly for the last few days.

Her warmth and presence envelopes and grounds him. Mira's scent, so familiar, as if it was yesterday all of them were in middle school together.

"I'm sorry," he whimpers into her hair.

Mira immediately moves away, and her face has never been so furious, "Don't."

"This... this is our fault." she sits up straight and clenches her hands, white knuckled with anger, "I'm sorry that we couldn't support you,"

Mira's tears are hot and bitter, "I'm sorry that we made you feel like you couldn't trust us, and we couldn't help you. I'm sorry that we couldn't and haven't done more. For all the pain you've been through. And that, that you were all alone."

No no no, this was all wrong. Anger directed at him, Johan could take, but Mira blaming themselves isn't right. They've always tried to look after him. This whole mess has nothing to do with them.

"I-" Johan begins, not sure where he's going with his words, just anything to make this terrible situation better.

"Johan," Mira's voice is firm, her face determined, "we will do whatever we can to help. I promise. Just please don't-" a wobble. "don't leave again."

He's the same loser from years ago, still depending on his friends. Still needing them on his side. And the fact that they would do so willingly?

What choice does Johan have? He nods.

"Say it you bastard, promise us," Zack pipes up from the other side, his voice holding an impossible amount of hope.

"I-I promise,"

"Promise you won't leave us again, you fuck."

"I-," Words are cheap, Johan could really say anything he wants and renign on it. But finally. Here, after everything. This he intends to keep.

"I promise I won't leave again."

Okay so I've mostly figured out the aftermath of the Legacy Arc;

Worm Is Fucking Dead. Duck assumed his true form and fucking killed him. Normally he wouldn't be allowed to do that, but Worm's time had long since come and gone.

Overseer and Blotch skipped out on cleanup because after the dust settled Abyssal recognized Blotch as That Asshole Who Possessed Them That One Time.

Mira, Red and Frenzy are now firmly on the side of good, though it'll be a while before Red and Frenzy properly join the group since they need time to help their universes recover from their absences.

Barry, Ramagog and Andrew are all getting locked up in Computer Hell for their crimes, while the rest of the Union's non-Admin members all get sent back to their respective universes.

Doppelganger Arle and Garyboy both managed to escape, and will likely be back to cause trouble another day.

Most of the members of the Program Revolution have been captured and will be facing consequences, and will be taught exactly why this was all a horrible idea to begin with.

Larryboy and Blotch will both be fine. As long as you survive Garyboy's venom it wears off eventually and isn't too hard to recover from.

Carbuncle will also be fine after a nap.

The Admins know that Circuit was a vessel for a Game Character, but not who was driving or what they managed to steal. Vector is also made aware of this while he's in custody, but is firmly in denial about Circuit just using him and his ideals for his own ends.

The SM64 Avatars and Kirby will have one hell of a story to tell the others at the next meetup, and vise-versa.

A few of Worm's viruses managed to escape into the Veggietales MMO, but for now it's not too big a deal.

Given...All That, everyone's now aware of how the Multiverse Inside Luke's Computer was created, and the story of Adminspace's founding. Abyssal's origins are still a secret to everyone except Duck and technically Vee though.

Mira needs to trust someone very much in order to be faithful to them. This is true in most of her verses. That faithfulness can be pulled back at any time, however. Mira has been betrayed in some form or another in all of her verses, not just One Piece verse in particular. She runs on survival, and she is not afraid of cutting people loose.

This will be her One Piece verse.

Mira is faithful to her second crew. They knew her for her and stayed for her. They kept her from relapsing into someone she did not want to be again. She appreciates that despite refusing to admit it. She would go to hell for her crew. She would listen to Nerissa's concerns the way Nerissa does for everyone on the ship. She would make sure Jasper is alright, and help him put on his prosthetics. Mira spends time with Marie and Marquis studying medicine and reading the medical journal they subscribed to. Mira would continuously stand up for Ana despite neither of them seeming to get along. Mira sees Miyuki as an annoying younger sibling, so she stands by Miyuki when Miyuki wants to free other children from war-torn nations. Just examples of what she would do.

For outside her crew, I think this is one of the things Law understands and she understands about him as an example. I can probably see Mira refusing to say where Law is despite being interrogated and repeatedly tortured for it. Especially, if it is by someone Law had a problem with in the past. It will take time to build up to that, but I think it can happen for Law and Mira.

Mira does not get along with Dragon, I feel considering her hesitation to trust him with her own life. She feels he is indirectly responsible for his crewmates, and especially her father's death as a spy for the Revolutionary Army. Despite this, she protects Koala, Sabo, and their comrades aboard her ship.
