Thank you to Denice Shipp-Glenn on organizing a great Citywide Kwanzaa Celebration this past week. What a great week of activities, education and fellowship. I enjoyed speaking on Nia (purpose) with other members of the Michigan City Black History Month Committee. Also, thank you to State Senator Rodney Pol, Jr. for coming by to address the people and mingle with everyone!! I got to see my mom smile and come out in her fresh traditional ceremonial gear!!
