"Carmilla~!" A pleased, cheery tone greeted the other overlord as Rosie stood and made her way around the counter. "Welcome, Welcome!" She gestured around. "I think we've updated a bit since your last visit..." They'd had to, one of the proprietors had been lost during one of the exterminations.

"What brings us the honor of having you drop by??" It was not sarcasm in her tone, but genuine kindness.

Husk didn't go out of his way to see anyone from his old life. Where once upon a time he'd been so much more, one bad habit and a slew of bad decisions had seen him fall from that pedestal. And oh, what a bottom he had hit.

If anyone had asked, he'd have said soundly that he had no use for those connections beyond painful memories. But then there's nights like tonight where he just happens to step into one of his old haunts. Where he sits on a stool and orders a drink and he's ALMOST able to take himself back.

Until his name is called in a voice all too familiar and he's regretting coming here at all as he turns to find none other than Carmilla leveling him with that stare of hers.

The queen remained calm after the little outburst "And what is the Envy Ring doing to cause you such grief?"

"Ah." The incorrect buzzer of a motherly tone, and yet Sarah's slow crawl to chomp her mother's shoulder finds purchase. In return, her nose gets gently pinched and wagged.

"Have I raised a coyote instead of a daughter?"

Sarah doesn't respond at first, but slowly moves in to put her teeth on Carmilla's shoulder in a gentle bite.
