Angel Fish Raffle prize list update!
Hey, guys! Michelle here. I just added 25 SPN-related t-shirts and a couple non-SPN shirts to the raffle prize list! I'm going to be adding more prizes later on tonight, including a Jack plush toy from CultureFly, and some books about writing and publishing I picked up at MomentoCon last month.
Because of this, I'm extended the Angel Fish Award nomination deadline to Sunday night, midnight, California time!
I want to give everyone a chance to check out all of the new prizes and then submit more nominations to try and win them.
If you have any questions, send us an ask or send a PM to @mrswhozeewhatsis!

Pursued.
It was a hot muggy night on the Helter-Skelter ranch. The firelights were out: buzzing around the cicadas were chirping their song. Suddenly Blitzo darts past a grey-skinned serpent with a long cowboy hat. Derringer tilted his hat up, and Julius gave his brothers a peculiar look.
It looked like Scar and Riff-Raff’s nephew was back, but for how long? and who was chasing the red-skinned devil?. The last time he saw Blitzo was nine years ago they had fished him out of the creek. His body was severely contorted whatever had attacked him was out for blood, the little Harlequin barely made it through the night. If it wasn’t for the constant visual, and the company of the Darling brothers and the sparse benevolence of Rattle and his sons Blitzo wouldn’t be here now.
“Who let the Remingtons on this farm! Drake Snarls his eyes bright wit unbridled hatred. “Fuck me!, its the Darling Brothers snaps Stryker clothes-lining his other two brothers. Striker hisses as the Remington brothers draw their guns. “That is unwise” warns Drake, his Gatling gun reeling at the end of his tail. “My father should’ve took more than just your tail, ya sorry excuse of a bandit” hisses Ryder. “Like how I took his life, after fucking his woman over a table” sneers Drake. “Your pa, should’ve minded his own business, instead he got my pa hanged at the gallows for something stupid. “Why are you chasing Blitzy, that firecracker has enough problems, he doesn’t need three farel alphas chasing him all over wrath. Derringer chimes in. “Go get Spade growls Stryker tossing his younger brother into the dirt. “You can’t scare us off, were friends of his uncle. “Which one?. inquires Julius peeling an apple with a knife and eating the pieces.
Stryker grits his teeth, “I didn’t think Scarecrow was stupid enough to hire a pack of murders” he hisses.
Meanwhile Blitzo swings open the barn doors his amber eyes shinning in the dimly lit barn. A look of surprise befell a stranger who was slumbering in the barn loft. hat tilted over his eyes. A blessed weapon resting at his side. “Holy shit, it was an exterminator but not just any exterminator. the angelic being raked his eyes over the imp. “I haven’t seen ya since you a Barbie-Wire were little, and I had to slice open ya mother. Blitzo backs up, his back hitting the barn doors. “What you don’t recognize me?’ The stranger tilted his hat back revealing obsidian eyes of his otherwise twin doppelganger.
The stranger shot a glance at the open barn. “Who ya running from this time Blitzy?” asks the stranger. “I-I thought you were dead!” Blitzo say, finding his voice. The Stranger just smirks. “I was brother, but you know our family is cursed, Death doesn’t hold much sway to our kind” “Agh! Blitzo shouts turning just as the stranger reaches out gripping his upper arm. “I’m not here to hurt ya, I’m checking in, your probably the only imp alive excused from the events of extermination day. now, tell me who di I need to fucking skin alive! that look in your eyes reveals all, Blitzy. Your an unclaimed omega in a snake-infested wasteland. “Do my uncles know your here?” Blitzo asks his shoulders slumping in defeat. knowing he couldn’t take his brother. “Who do ya think let me in” “How long are you staying?” “until I pass judgement on your suitors” grins the lead exterminator.

The Little Merstick Chapter 4
Dave, why can't you just tell me what this is all about?" Henry asked as Dave was showing him to the cave again.
"You'll see. It's a surprise." He giggled happily.
"Oh, Dave-" he smiled as he saw a statue of Charles.
"Dave you're the best! it looks just like him. It even has his eyes. Why, Charles, run away with you? This is all so - so sudden. . . ." He suddenly turns around and sees Reginald and RHM. "Dad! Pops. . ."
"We consider ourself a reasonable mermans. We set certain rules, and we expect those rules to be obeyed." Reginald was clearly trying to hold his anger back.
"But dad!"
"Is it true you rescued a human from drowning?"
"Dad, I had to!"
"Contact between the human world and the mer-world is strictly forbidden. Henry, you know that! Everyone knows that!"
"He would have died!"
"One less human to worry about!"
"You don't even know him."
"Know him? I don't have to know him. They're all the same. Spineless, savage, harpooning, fish-eaters, incapable of any feeling!"
"Pops, I love him!"
"No . . . Have you lost your senses completely? He's a human, you're a merman!"
"I don't care."
"So help us Henry, we are going to get through to you. And if this is the only way, so be it." Right took out his trident and began to blast the artifacts into pieces.
"Pops!. . . No . . . No, please- Pops, stop!. . . Pops, Nooo!!" He blasts the statue. Henry begins crying and he leaves, ashamed.
"Henry, I . . ." Sven starts to speak.
"Just go away." He said as he continued to cry. He leaves and Dmitri and Grigori appear.
"Poor child." Grigori spoke.
"Poor, sweet child." Dmitri spoke next.
"He has a very serious problem."
"If only there were something we could do."
"But there is something."
"Who - who are you?" Henry spoke to the eels.
"Don't be scared."
"We represent someone who can help you."
"Someone who could make all your dreams come true."
"Just imagine -"
"You and your prince -"
"Together, forever. . . ."
"I don't understand." Henry spoke, what the hell were these things talking about?
"Jilly Jack (oc from @righthand-reggie ) has great powers."
"The sea witch? Why, that's - I couldn't possibly - no! Get out of here! Leave me alone!" Henry shouted.
"Suit yourself."
"It was only a suggestion." Dmitri flicks the statue's broken face towards Henry.
Henry looks at the face before he speaks, "Wait."
"Yeeeeeeeeeess?" The two hissed as they turned back to face the heart broken merman.
~~~~~~~
Outside of the cave, Dave and Sven wait for Angel to come out.
"Poor Henry." Dave sniffed.
"I didn't mean to tell, it was an accident. " Sven spoke sadly when suddenly, Angel passes by.
"Henry - where are you going? Henry, what are you doing here with this riff-raff?"
"I'm going to see Jilly Jack."
"Henry, no! No, she's a demon, she's a monster!" Sven tried to convince him not to go.
"Why don't you go tell my fathers? You're good at that."
"But . . . But, I . . ." He turned to Dave who looked back at her.
"Come on." They travel towards Jilly Jack's cavern.
~~~~~
"This way." Dmitri and Grigori spoke as Henry entered and was hung up in the garden of souls.
"Come in. Come in, pumpkin. We mustn't lurk in doorways - it's rude. One MIGHT question your upbringing. . . . Now, then. You're here because you have a thing for this human. This, er, prince fellow. Not that I blame you - he is quite a catch, isn't he? Well, pumpkin, the solution to your problem is simple. The only way to get what you want - is to become a human yourself." Jilly spoke when Henry was finally in the main "room" of the cavern.
"Can you DO that?" He asked in wonderment.
"My dear, sweet pumpkin. That's what I do - it's what I live for. To help unfortunate merfolk - like yourself. Poor souls with no one else to turn to." She spoke dramatically.
"I admit that in the past I've been a nasty.
They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a witch!" She laughed.
"But you'll find that nowadays,
I've mended all my ways.
Repented, seen the light and made a switch!
True? Yes
And I fortunately know a little magic
It's a talent that I always have possessed
And here lately, please don't laugh
I use it on behalf
Of the miserable, lonely and depressed…. Pathetic". She mumbled the last word.
"Poor unfortunate souls
In pain
In need
This one longing to be thinner
That one wants to get the girl
And do I help them?
Yes, indeed
Those poor unfortunate souls
So sad
So true
They come flocking to my cauldron
Crying, "Help us, Jilly please!"
And I help them?
Yes, I do
Now it's happened once or twice
Someone couldn't pay the price
And I'm afraid I had to rake 'em 'cross the coals
Yes, I've had the odd complaint
But on the whole I've been a saint
To those poor unfortunate souls" she pointed to a few of the souls in his soul garden.
"Now, here's the deal. I will make you a potion that will turn you into a human for three days. Got that? Three days. Now listen, this is important. Before the sun sets on the third day, you've got to get dear ol' princey to fall in love with you. That is, he's got to kiss you. Not just any kiss - the kiss of true love. If he does kiss you before the sun sets on the third day, you'll remain human, permanently, but - if he doesn't, you turn back into a mermaid, and - you belong to me." She smiled wickedly at poor little Henry who, himself, seemed a tad conflicted.
"No Henry" Sven called out but was silenced by Dmitri and Grigori.
"Have we got a deal?"
"If I become human, I'll never be with my fathers or siblings again."
"That's right. . . . But - you'll have your man. Life's full of tough choices, innit? Oh - and there is one more thing. We haven't discussed the subject of payment. You can't get something for nothing, you know."
"But I don't have any -"
"I'm not asking much! Just a token, really, a trifle. You'll never even miss it. What I want from you is . . . your voice."
"My voice?"
"You've got it, pumpkin. No more talking, singing, zip."
"But without my voice, how can I -"
"You'll have your looks! Your pretty face! And don't underestimate the importance of body language! Ha!"
"The men up there don't like a lot of blabber
They think a personl who gossips is a bore
Yes, on land it's much preferred
For submissives not to say a word
And after all, dear, what is idle prattle for?
Come on, they're not all that impressed with conversation
True gentlemen avoid it when they can
But they dote and swoon and fawn
On a person who's withdrawn
It's they who holds their tongue who gets the man
Come on, you poor unfortunate soul
Go ahead!
Make your choice!
I'm a very busy woman
And I haven't got all day
It won't cost much
Just your voice!
You poor unfortunate soul
It's sad
But true
If you want to cross a bridge, my sweet
You've got to pay the toll
Take a gulp and take a breath
And go ahead and sign the scroll!
Dmitri, Grigori, now I've got him, boys
The boss is on a roll
This poor unfortunate soul." After a moment of thought, Henry signs the contract.
"Paluga, sarruga, come winds of the Caspian Sea.
Now rings us glossitis and max laryngitis,
La voce to me!
Now . . . sing!" Henry then began to sing and a green glow illuminated around him.
"Keep singing!" Giant magical hands rip out Henry's voice and give it to Jilly. She laughs as Henry is changed into a human and rushed to the surface by Sven and Dave.

Black Cadillac Valentines
Summary: A oneshot explaining how the PC from Bloodlines knows the Prince of Tucson, Arizona, Lettow Kaminsky. Also, the Cadillac incident Dove tells you about at the beginning of VTM: Night Road.
Characters: Malkavian PC (VTM: Bloodlines), Heather Poe, Lettow Kaminsky, Dove, Sebastian LaCroix (mentioned).
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/28660233
February 14th 2005
Briar Rose rots under the sand.
An eagle makes its nest out of blue bones.
Father plucks the feathers from a lark's wings.
Beauregard Sawyer wanders the streets of Tucson, Arizona under the pale light of the moon. All around him, couples walk arm-in-arm on the sidewalk, smiling and laughing and exchanging gifts and kisses.
After arriving in Tucson and presenting themselves to its new Prince last month, Beau and his ghoul, Heather Poe, kept busy. Beau was convinced that something was here, something important. Ever aware of his moods, Heather looked at local real estate agents for a secure haven to live in while Beau began his search. She eventually found a small two-bedroom, one-bathroom basement apartment where the elderly couple who lived in the house above never asked any questions. They officially moved in three days ago.
Whether it was successfully moving in or because it was Valentine's Day, Heather wanted to celebrate and Beau could never say no to his Heather Feather. She was planning something, so he stepped out to give her time to set up.
Beau closes his eyes, readjusts his blue-sunset aviators, and relaxes for the first time in months. Los Angeles was a total bust, but at least its Jester Prince was dust and ashes. Hopefully whoever takes over will be able to clean up the mess the Ankaran Sarcophagus left behind. He takes a deep, calming breath.
The scent of smoke fills his nose.
She got in the wrong Cadillac.
His eyes snap open as he stops in front of the parking lot of a Marriott. He watches as a red-haired woman flings herself out of a burning black Cadillac, pushes herself to her feet, and takes off running past him.
"Isn't that the Prince's Seneschal?" he wonders. Beau's Sight doesn't grant him night vision, but he could swear her silhouette matched that of the hulking Nosferatu woman with the skull face that loomed behind Tucson's Gangrel Prince. Funny, he can't remember her name.
Looking back at the vehicle the woman just vacated, Beau spots a man in a wolf costume hanging halfway out of the driver seat window, screaming and clutching the bleeding remnants of his arm. Ignoring the human, Beau turns back to the woman, flames licking at her heels, as she runs out into the street.
At that moment, a car with its headlights off swerves around the corner at full speed and slams into her. Beau stares as she goes flying, hits the pavement, rolls, and is run over. The car stops and a man in a cream suit jacket climbs out and goes to check on her.
Eagle eyes scan the eastern horizon.
Not yet, he thinks.
He has to keep her safe.
"That's the Prince of Tucson," Beau realizes, bewildered. The Prince of Tucson, Lettow Kaminsky, helps the woman to her feet and pats her down to douse the remaining sparks of fire that cling to her clothes. Beau's attention turns again to the woman and, "Yep, that's definitely his Seneschal."
Then, because his night couldn't get any weirder, a jeep speeds around the corner that the Prince came from. Four heads stick out from the vehicle's open windows and point guns towards the Prince and his right-hand-woman.
Beau immediately ducks into the nearest alleyway, reaching into his hoodie's pocket for his pistol as the sound of gunfire erupts behind him. Screams fill the air. He peeks around the corner and spots the Prince and the Seneschal taking cover behind the Prince's car. The jeep swerves and comes to a stop, the Kindred inside clambering out and taking up defensive positions as pedestrians flee.
The wise decision would be to let them fend for themselves. The Prince and his Seneschal are both Elders. They would be fine. And after LaCroix and the debacle in LA, Beau's never held much stock in the Camarilla or any of its rivals. Kindred and Kine are the same in that sense - both will do whatever it takes to attain power. However...
Father's flock frays and turns to dust.
A lark stretches her wings to embrace the dawn.
Decision made, Beau leans around the corner, raises his pistol, and fires, just missing the head of one of the attackers. Immediately, the person calls to their fellows, drawing attention to the new challenger shooting at them. Their voice cuts out as Beau finally hits his target, the impact knocking them back on the pavement and stunning them.
"Shame that Kindred are so resilient," he thinks. He ducks around the corner again as the other Kindred focus on taking him out. Sticking his head back out as the assailants reload, Beau catches the Prince's eyes and gestures to him.
"Come on! This way!"
Then he steps out from the alley and continues shooting. He watches as the two share a look. The Seneschal finally nods and then they dart out from behind the car, dodging fire as they go.
Beau feels a bullet tear through his gut. He grimaces, throwing himself around the corner and back into the alleyway just as the two Camarilla members reach him. The Seneschal covers them, turning around and firing at their attackers with extreme prejudice.
"Evening Prince," Beau says, using the wall to push himself back to his feet.
"You are... Beauregard, correct?" the Gangrel asks.
"Yeah. My ghoul and I moved here last month." Beau puts a hand over the wound in his side to staunch the bleeding. "I know a place you can hide until they're gone. Or until dawn, whichever comes first. This way." He starts jogging down the alley. Lettow and his Nosferatu companion follow as the shouts of their pursuers ring out behind them.
"Who were those guys anyway?" Beau asks.
"Remnants of the Sabbat that took advantage of the turf war," Lettow replies.
Beau heard about that. From what little he learned from LaCroix and afterwards from rumors, Tucson's Camarilla was embroiled in a turf war. It started four years ago, when the old Ventrue Prince sought to purge the city of the riff raff. That is to say, every Kindred not part of Clan Ventrue.
Many people took offence to that.
Some rebelled, others fled. The Prince's childer took it as an opportunity to latch onto any form of power they could get their hands on and began fighting each other. Soon, they too were as much of a target as the other clans the Prince warred against.
Then in the midst of all that, the Sabbat arrived - led by Beau's sire, LaCroix always loved to mention - and made everything exponentially worse. It was every Kindred for themselves up until Lettow killed the old Prince and took over.
"We need to lose them," the Seneschal says. Footsteps pound on the pavement behind them, the Sabbat giving chase. The Nosferatu huffs, fists clenching white around her gun as she shoots behind her.
A dove with clipped wings and no other place to go.
"We'll find a way," the Prince replies.
"My haven's not too far," Beau says, "If we can shake 'em, I'll lead you straight there."
"You sure we can trust this guy?" the Seneschal asks. Beau feels the Gangrel Prince's sharp eagle gaze settle on his back.
His eyes see all, a gift from someone dear to him.
"For now," Lettow replies with certainty. Then to Beau, he says, "I do not take betrayal lightly. For your sake, you will uphold your end of the bargain."
"And if I don't, you'll dust me?" Beau laughs. "Sounds like someone I used to know. But you don't have to worry, Prince. I always keep my word."
With that, Beau leads them through Tucson's twisting alleyways, letting his feet and the voices tell him which way to go. He guides them through narrow streets and over roof tops, the Sabbat slowly falling behind. The trio eventually lose their pursuers completely when Beau stops, grabs the Seneschal's muscled bicep and the Prince's sleeve and lets the tingles of camouflage cover all three of them. The Sabbat run past none the wiser.
They wait for a time as the confused shouts of the other Kindred gets farther away. Approaching police sirens scare off the remnants. Only after the cops pass does Beau drop the camouflage with a heavy sigh.
"I think we lost them," he says.
"We should get somewhere safe in case they come back," the Nosferatu adds. The Prince nods and turns to Beau.
"Does your offer of sanctuary still apply?"
Beau shrugs. "Sure, why not. It's been a weird day. Night. Whatever."
He leads them back through the maze of alleys. Without the hassle of being tailed, the trio make it to Beau and Heather's haven without difficulty. Beau takes out his key and unlocks the door, leading them inside.
"Beau?" Heather's voice calls from the kitchen, "Is that you?"
"It's me," Beau replies, closing the door and locking it.
Heather rushes to him, red hair whipping behind her. Beau catches her, stumbling backwards as she flings herself at him.
"I missed you," she says, hugging him. He smiles and pats her back.
The Prince coughs, interrupting the moment. Heather quickly lets go. Her face flushes as she recognizes their guests.
"Ran into some friends. They needed a place to stay a bit," Beau shrugs, taking off his aviators and tossing them onto the hall table. "Hope you don't mind. I know you had plans."
"No, no, it's fine," she replies, tucking her hair behind her ear. She shuffles in place, wringing her hands. "Um, Beau?"
At her tone, Beau pauses. "What did you do?"
She bites her lip. He crosses his arms.
"... I caught a fish again."
Beau blinks. Then, he sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Feather, remember what I told you last time you did this?"
"I'm sorry," she deflates. "But we just moved in, and I wanted to get you something since you've been so stressed lately."
"And I appreciate it, I really do, but it's still super dangerous. What if you got caught?"
Her silence is telling.
"You got caught."
"... I caught two fish."
"Please Heather, please tell me you didn't use the shovel."
She swallows and braces herself. Beau throws his hands up.
"Feather, you know how I feel about the shovel!"
"I'm sorry!"
"Just... Just go," Beau rubs his eyes, desperately wanting to scream. "Where are they?"
"I locked them in the guest room..."
He waves her off, exasperated. He watches her disappear into the living room before turning to their guests. "Are you two hungry? I've got bagged in the fridge, and you're welcome to that, but I gotta take care of this mess."
The Camarilla members stare at him. Beau glances between them.
"Is something wrong?" he asks.
"See," the Seneschal finally says, turning to Lettow, "I told you he was a Lunatic."
"Come now Dove," the Prince sighs, "That is no way to speak to our host."
"Oh right," Beau thinks, "Her name was Dove." Then the rest of her sentence registered.
"Lunatic, huh? That's a new one."
"It's the eyes," Lettow says. "Because of your sunglasses, it was hard to tell. I believed you were Toreador."
"Huh." Beau pauses. "I honestly don't care either way. Let others see what they wish to see, the truth is always obscured." He shrugs. "But enough of that, we did a lot of running earlier. Are you hungry?"
"I could eat," Dove replies.
The Prince agrees. "We will make do."
Cold and slimy and unfulfilling.
Blood bags don't provide enough subsistence for Kindred. The ones who subsist entirely on them are either desperate or clinging to the remnants of their humanity. Most prefer obtaining their fill directly from the source. With this in mind, Beau extends another olive branch to them. The voices whisper that something good will come of this relationship.
"If you want, you can help me with the fish," he offers. The two look at each other.
"Fish?" Lettow asks. His lips twitch into a small bemused smile. A dubious expression crosses Dove's face.
Beau grins as he leads them to the guest room. He stops by the closet and pulls out the shovel he and Heather own, hauling it over one shoulder before continuing on. Dried blood sticks to its metal blade.
"Yeah, fish. But not literal fish. I think you'll like it."

Bananaman The Musical – Matthew McKenna (Bananaman) Photo by Pamela Raith
Bananaman is flying to London to save the world! The most brainless superhero ever to grace the skies is going to make his live action debut in an all-singing, all-flying must-see new British musical.
Bananaman, the Man-of-Peel, is a unique member of the superhero ranks. Our handsome hero may have a jaw line you can see from space and sport the snazziest of tight lycra outfits, but this superhero has ‘the muscles of 20 men and the brain of 20 mussels.’ Which isn’t much.
With supervillains Doctor Gloom and General Blight attempting world domination who can we call? Superman’s on holiday, Spiderman’s not picking up – our only option, our very very last option is – Bananaman.
For the first time ever, Bananaman will be live on stage in Bananaman the Musical.
Bananaman the Musical, written and composed by Leon Parris, directed by Mark Perry, will run at Southwark Playhouse from December 15th 2017 to January 20th 2018. Press night is Thursday January 4, 2018 at 7.30pm
Bananaman began life in the Nutty comic in 1980, and was a flyaway success, transferring to The Dandy before joining the world’s longest-running comic, The Beano in 2012 and he is now one of The Beano’s flagship characters. A send-up of the likes of Superman and Batman, he was the subject of the hugely popular TV cartoon that ran between 1983 and 1986 for three series and 40 episodes on the BBC and featured the voices of Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie from The Goodies.
Fans of the the TV series will remember the iconic opening sequence, “This is 29 Acacia Road. And this is Eric Wimp. He’s a schoolboy who leads an amazing double life. For when Eric eats a banana an amazing transformation occurs. Eric is Bananaman. Ever alert for the call to action.”
[See image gallery at http://ift.tt/1FpwFUw]
With a useless hero and some equally clueless villains, Bananaman’s winkingly clever, delightfully silly humour has been sealed into the memories of those who saw him first, and will now spark the imagination of a new bunch of Bananafans.
It won’t be long before we all ‘Peel the Power’ of Bananaman. Matthew McKenna is unmasked today as the star and “handsome hero” of Bananaman the Musical. Matthew has appeared in many major West End musicals, including The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Legally Blonde the Musical, We Will Rock You, Starlight Express (as Elektra), and The Rocky Horror Show (Riff Raff) and both Singing in the Rain and 42nd Street at the Theatre Du Chatelet, Paris.
Also starring, as Bananaman’s arch nemesis Doctor Gloom, the super villain seeking world domination, will be Marc Pickering. Marc Pickering returns to Southwark Playhouse where he appeared in the European premiere of Toxic Avenger The Musical. He recently starred as Finch in the musical How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Wiltons Music Hall), Joseph Merrick in The Elephant Man (Trafalgar Studios), Merchant of Venice (Arcola) and The Glee Club (Hull Truck). His film work includes Sleepy Hollow, Calendar Girls, Kill Keith, I Want Candy, The Darkest Day and Montparnasse in Tom Hooper’s 2012 film of the celebrated musical Les Misérables. On TV he has appeared in the new series of Josh and Homeboys & Dalziel & Pascoe (BBC), played R Wayne in Peter Kay’s talent show parody Britain’s Got the Pop Factor, Ippolito D’este in Borgia III (for Netflix), and the young Enoch “Nucky” Thompson in the fifth and final season of the HBO series Boardwalk Empire.
Bringing the rest of the residents of Acacia Road to life are a stellar West End cast.
Jodie Jacobs (Broadway World Award Best Supporting Actress for Rock Of Ages) is Eric’s loyal sidekick, Crow. Jodie Jacobs has played Fantine in Les Misérables, Grizabella in Cats, Florence in Chess, Serena Katz in Fame and she understudied the lead roles of Scaramouche & Meatloaf in We Will Rock You (Dominion), Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Duke of York’s) and Eva Peron in Evita (Adelphi Theatre). Jodie has most recently been seen in The Lionel Bart Story as Judy Garland and Georgia Brown. She received an Off West End Award and a West End Wilma nomination for Lizzie (Greenwich Theatre and Denmark transfer), she won a Broadway World award for Best Supporting Actress for Rock Of Ages (West End). She was recently nominated Best Actress in a Musical as Atropos in the brand new musical 27 (Cockpit).
Mark Newnham (Eric Wimp) recently played Dave Davies in the Kinks musical Sunny Afternoon and the young Steve Marriott in the new musical All Or Nothing. His other roles include Cookie in Return to the Forbidden Planet, John Lennon in Lennon at Liverpool Royal Court Theatre, Jamie in The Last 5 Years, and Hot Stuff.
Carl Mullaney (General Blight) has appeared in Les Misérables, (West End), Chicago (West End & international tour as Mary Sunshine), Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens (Booby Shevalle), West Side Story, Jest End and Fashion Victim The Musical.
CHIEF O’REILLY – TJ Lloyd T J Lloyd’s previous musicals include playing Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys & Dolls, The Baker in Into The Woods, Charley Kringas in Merrily We Roll Along and Ray in Elegies for Angels, Punks & Raging Queens.

Life on the American flow: Mark Twain romance, or false hope for the homeless?
Hundreds without housing in California have constructed their home on the shady banks of the American river. But the bucolic vistum belies a darker reality
Richard Dean heaved his bike and trailer across the bridge, away from the city, and followed a soil track through scouring until reaching a patch of shaded riverbank.
It was approaching 100 F( 37 C) but Dean, sweating and panting, was upbeat. This is a good workout. And we have the best air-conditioning in the world. Its called the American river.
The wiry 50 -year-old unleashed his dog, Shunka, extracted a foldable chair from the cart and settled in for a serene afternoon under pecan and dogwood trees. He wasnt “re going away”. He was home.
Dean, who goes by the nickname Syphy, is part of a largely invisible homeless person camped by the reeds and thickets stringing the American river just outside Sacramento, Californias capital. They come for the seclusion and opportunity to live on their own terms.
Rory Carroll (@ rorycarroll7 2) June 30, 2016
Trekking Sacramento’s American river session #homeless campers. It’s another world. Scenic, serene, hopeless. pic.twitter.com/ S50DY8jq5e
They are not the first. Nisenan Indians terminated here 5,000 years ago. Itinerant miners built shanties during the 1840 s gold rush, must be accompanied by pedigrees dislodged during the Great Depression. Now it is the turn of hundreds of modern outcasts with domesticateds, bicycles, tents and tarpaulin.
Its so nice out here. I dont consider myself homeless, I merely live outside, replied Julie Pacheco, 48, accommodated in a bramble spot. I dont take any[ government] succor. Id rather be a camping gypsy, she said.
Pacheco had switched her little clear, concealed from the river by blackberry undergrowths and almond trees, into a dwelling with two tents, a burn quarry, a chair, a flowerpot and a load of publications and volumes, including Shirley MacLaine romances and a Ronald Reagan biography. She shared it with Annie, a terrier-chihuahua.
Ive got some Angus steaks marinating, responded Pacheco. Ill cook them tonight with mesquite to give them a barbecue taste.

They seem to be obscuring
These clandestine denizens appear to occupy a comparatively benign area of the US homelessness crisis: a bucolic landscape with owls and beavers and a flow where they can bathe, fish and live often like Huckleberry Finn. Some do chilling in the water, fastening trout, exploring waterways with canoes.
Appearances deceive. Look closer and any sense of nostalgic idyll dissolves. The same pressures driving homelessness from New York to Los Angeles poverty, mental illness, craving waft through the reeds and oleander. The flow is no refuge. Its a trap.
Those who call it dwelling can invest months, times, even decades in a netherworld a little bit closer to Trainspotting than Mark Twain.
Many abuse drugs, especially methamphetamine nicknamed crank, transforming them into toothless, hollow-cheeked vagabonds with nervous systems so fried they perpetually twitch, earning the nickname tweakers. They survive not through wilderness resourcefulness but private charity, food stamps and welfare checks which land around the start of each month, expressed in the term the eagle shits on the first.
It pops you in the look, articulated Joan Burke, advocacy chairman for Loaves& Fishes, a non-profit which feeds hundreds daily in Sacramento. We have people living in third-world ailments with no access to potable water or sanitation. Its grisly to realise them living in squalor when they truly cant take care of themselves.
Newcomers have swollen the population from dozens to hundreds in recent years, making some old-timers to move further upriver to escape fear of violence, added Jeff Harris, a city council member.
Anthony Bennett, a common ranger sergeant who heads a seven-strong crew in the American River Parkway, a 23 -mile environmental ornament, has spent a decade rousting and counseling the homeless. Its a bit lamentable and hopeless. They seem to be disguising away from society. Its not safe, its not legal and its not healthy. We do what we can to push people towards services and assistant. But we cant coerce them to take it.
Bennett alleged rangers strive to keep the parkway clean and safe without persecuting the homeless, who injury the ballpark with litter, grove mow and burns. Were not a swat squad or the Gestapo. We consider these beings as human beings.
Who lives here
When the Guardian accompanied Bennett on a recent patrol he trekked down restricted dirt directions silent save for fowls and the rivers swirl. Bent grass and snarled limbs betrayed entries to otherwise obscured camps, most containing just one or two tents.
Brandon Jack, 47, and Jennifer Goggin, 44, lived with their puppy, Miss Brodie, beneath a canopy of wild grapes. Jack, barefoot and shirtless, said he was an electrician descended on hard times. Homeless shelters were not policy options, he enunciated. You get 30 guys in a room blow snot everywhere. Its a disease factory.
So for a year he had lived by the river, exploiting it bathe, wash foods and build a new life with his partner.

Bennett returned the couple 48 hours to move and urged them to contact Sacramento Steps Forward, a non-profit which works with the city to offer shelter and services to the homeless.
Jack gestured but did not seem reassured. Wed rather be out of the path. Out of view, out of brain.
Further down the river another duet bore the devastations of decades in the wilderness. James Donaldson was weather-beaten with an unkempt beard of an Old Testament prophet. His wife Paula Richardson, 53, slumped in a chair, coughed, coughed and cursed at dogs who roared from behind a tarpaulin sheet.
Through slurred speech Donaldson talked up the merit of flow life. Beautiful vegetation. It presents a lot of oxygen. He claimed to be an ex-LAPD patrolman who had California head Jerry Browns personal authorization to live here. Scrap and accumulations of filthy clothes bespoke a mis fight against grunge and disease.
A handful appear to thrive. An old-timer nicknamed Runner Mike, so-called because he runs through the wilderness, improves skillfully camouflaged shelters with air-vents, isolation, passageways and spider-holes. Hes quite proud of what he builds, said Bennett. Another occupant, nicknamed Monkey, seeks maximum solitude by occupying islands.
Some band together and form tight-knit hamlets, sharing meat, cigarettes and a feeling of supremacy over those who live on Sacramentos streets, precisely a few miles across the bridge. I dont really like addressing the riff-raff up there, mentioned Tina Schifflett, 43, a former Cinnabon manager who shares a spot of riverbank with several others.
Ryan Loofbourrow, the executive director of Sacramento Steps Forward, said river-dwellers tended to be more rugged and coordinated than city homeless. They want privacy and are now able to carve out a bit of infinite for themselves. But impediments left many struggling, he lent.
Most river-dwellers interviewed for this story spoke of loneliness, affliction and the specter of addiction. They stayed throw, “theyre saying”, for want of available low-income apartments and because moving to a shelter would symbolize giving up pets.
Its peaceful, sure, responded Craig Sanderson, 53, camped under an oak tree with Spike, a pitbull mastiff. He reads thrillers in his boxer shorts between scavenging bottles and cans with a bicycle and go-cart. But the grunge gets to you.

Pacheco, the woman living under brambles, was proud of her they are able to pasture and lives alone. But separation had unmoored her. Despite no academic background she spoke of drafting existing laws and find a Guggenheim fellowship. She wanted a laptop for investigate but abjured a telephone. Ive no one to call.
Syphy, who heralded the rivers air-conditioning prowess, told you he find close to nature and joked that the parkways maintenance crews were his maids. But even he felt it was a incorrect sanctuary.
If you think this is Huck Finn romance, good luck stepping out of a barge and not stepping on a fucking needle. Croak to a tweaker clique and youll discover the most difficult mess youve ever seen. They plagiarize and go into your stuff. I dont trust parties out here.

A former meths junkie himself, Syphy had been sober three years he ascribed enjoy for his hound but horror a recurrence. He dreamed of moving to Alaska before it was too late. This target is truly are now beginning to suck the spirit out of me.
