OZ'S NODDING IS PROBABLY TOO ENTHUSIASTIC . they're probably too enthusiastic honestly . they would like to think that they were able to play it cooler usually . be more ... smooth . or better with their words . more flirtatious in a way that seemed purposeful instead of so clumsy and maybe they were . but it felt much harder to be that way around callie . they weren't sure if it was because of how much they liked her, or maybe just something about callie specifically . " maybe after this we could ... see each other more ." oz's tone is likely too hopeful, too bright . they can't seem to find the energy to care . “you do?” the words were nearly a gasp, barely escaping callie’s throat amidst the shock. sure, oz behaved as if callie put the sun in the sky when she was around, but she sometimes thought it was all an act. just a good show in attempts to get in her pants — it wouldn’t be the first time she’d encountered something of the sort. but looking into their eyes, letting them invade her space like this and confess forbidden truths, it all made callie think they were being honest. that she really was what they wanted, who they wanted. it was a shock they wanted her when she felt like they hardly knew her. not that she had given oz a chance to, this was the first time she’d even allowed them to be so close. “i want to see you more than i should. i look for you everywhere, oz…” stomach dropping as oz’s hand slid within her own, she let them tug her through the crowded bar and out the front door, squeezing their hand as the fresh air filled her lungs again. it was such a slap in the face, she half wondered if oz would suddenly sober up and run. “where to?”

Could you do reader x drew. She has not had the best experience with guys, been cheated on and left not feeling enough. Drew and her are just in the getting to know each other stage and have only been on a few dates. They do not have a claim on each other. He is away filming in Italy. She sees a video of him and Odessa where they are quite close and it looks wrong (it's not like that) and so she gets a bit sad and ends up not answering any of his texts or calls, deciding to just stop contact because appearntly he has an interest in someone else. Drew gets worried, and when filming is done a week or so later, he shows up at her apartment.

Your relationship with Drew wasn’t exclusive since you were in the talking stage as the two of you had been getting to know each other for the past few months. You had gone on a few dates here and there when your schedules allowed you to and if you were being honest, he raised your expectations for how dates should be as each date was better than the previous. You knew what you were getting into when you started talking to the actor, knowing that his job required him to travel to different locations for projects that he was working on. 

He was currently away filming in Italy for his latest project, Queer. It was a bit difficult to find time to talk due to the time difference between Italy and Los Angeles but you and Drew made it work, even if you could only talk to each other for thirty minutes. 

You haven’t heard from him all day, assuming he was busy filming but as soon as you went onto Twitter, your feed was flooded with pictures and videos of him and Odessa in Italy, having lunch together, laughing as they talked. There were more videos of the two walking around together, her arm linked with his and you felt your heart sink. You knew you shouldn’t believe everything you saw on the internet but you couldn’t help it, especially when your past relationships always ended with you getting cheated on or your ex leaving you for another woman. 

It wasn’t till a few hours later that you would hear from Drew, who texted you and you wanted to answer him but you just couldn’t bring yourself to answer him because you figured he was more interested in her than you. You wanted him to be happy, even if that meant he was happier with her. This went on for a few days where you would ignore every text and call he sent, leaving him worried that something happened to you. There wasn’t a day where Drew didn’t text or call you, hoping you would answer but you never did. 

A week later, Drew was getting off his flight since filming was done for Queer, and his heart was set on seeing you and he found himself knocking on the door of your apartment. When you opened the door, you weren’t expecting to see him standing in front of you and his heart ached when he took in the sight of you, you looked like you had been crying. “Drew, what are you doing here?” you muttered, avoiding eye contact with him, “Wanted to see my favorite girl”. It was silent between the two of you for a few seconds before he spoke up, “I’ve been texting and calling you while I was gone”. 

“You never answered though and I was worried something happened to you” he added. You shook your head, wrapping your arms around yourself, “No, nothing happened to me, I just figured it was best I left you alone”. Your response left him feeling confused, watching the way his eyebrows furrowed, “Why would you think it was best if you left me alone?”. 

As soon as the words, “Figured it was best to let you focus on Odessa” left your mouth, he didn’t understand at first until he remembered the pictures and videos that went around with him and Odessa while he was away filming in Italy. “Odessa? Odessa and I are just friends, nothing more” Drew paused, “She was in Italy for the film she’s starring in and we ended up hanging out”.

He could sense your unsureness, “I remember you telling me about your past relationships when we talked about them and I meant every word when I said I would never do that to you. You don’t have to believe me but everything I’ve ever said to you came from my heart. I could and would never lie or take advantage of you. You were on my mind the entire time I was filming in Italy. I’ve caught myself saying your name during filming scenes with my co-star instead of yours”.

Your eyes drifted to his, making you look up at him, “I talked about you to her, you know? She said she had never seen me this happy before and she wanted to know who was making me so happy. I told her that she was right, this is the happiest I’ve ever been and it’s because I met you”.

His hand moved to cup the side of your face, his thumb brushing against your cheekbone, “I can’t imagine myself with anyone who isn’t you. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for you to be mine, I was ready to make you mine the first month of knowing you but I didn’t want to rush things, I wanted it to be perfect”. Your heart fluttered against your ribcage at his confession, “I don’t want anyone else, I want you and only you”.

" YOU WERE FUCKING FLIRTING WITH HER, ODESSA ! i didn't create shit . maybe if you had an ounce of fucking loyalty we wouldn't fucking be here !" slater snaps sharply back, lunging forward and just barely being held back by strong hands at her shoulders . her teeth are bared in her frustration, her eyes flashing with it as she clenches her jaw tight . but odessa continues and slater, for their part, barks an incredulous laugh . " oh, fucking believe me, falling for you was the stupidest fucking thing i've ever done ." slater spits emphatically, her eyes are hard as they meet odessa's even if slater isn't even completely sure if it's true . all they know is that lately it feels true, and isn't that in itself enough ? " desperation and denial ?" another almost cruel bark of laughter, slater's grin wild as her brows arch . "i can't tell if you need to get your eyes or your ears checked first, o . did you fucking hear the crowd out there ?" slater brows arch higher as she inclines her head towards the arena the band had just left . her eyes narrow . "or have you already forgotten what the sound of cheers sound like ? can't blame you for that really, s'not like your shit produces the same response ." it's not only a low blow but a lie . slater couldn't be arsed to care about it though . not right now . not while she's a breath away from odessa, not while her heart is somewhere in her throat and the rhythm of the set they just played is thrumming through her veins . having odessa's hands on her certainly doesn't help, as slater shifts back with the shove, mostly due to the lack of balance that rod's grip on her gives her but still . the movement alone is accompanied with a growl, their eyes narrowed as they meet odessa's . " you didn't make shit !" the very idea incenses slater in a way that they can't explain . maybe it's because the very concept is permanent . she's not what odessa made her . she'll never be that . she could never be that . after all, if she is, how will she ever rid herself of odessa's mark ? how could she free herself of that impact ? "god, you're such a fucking narcissist ." slater's expression twists, their teeth bared in a sneer as they fight against rod's grip to say . "i was this before you . i'll be this fucking after you too and you don't get to take credit for it ." slater rips their arm out of rod's grasp with a jerky movement, being held by only one of his hands now as they meet odessa's eyes with hard stubbornness . their gaze is unwavering and intense in a way that they never quite figured out how not to be as they say, " just fucking watch me ." their chest is rising and falling as they shift closer to odessa despite rod's hold, fueled entirely by spite as they say, " watch me do it, goodwin . you obviously want to ." their eyes narrow then as their lips twist into a sarcastic excuse for a smile, their brow arching as they add, i'm sure you got really good seats ." slater rips their other shoulder out of rod's grip now, their nostrils flared as they take a deep breath and try to resist the urge to lunge at odessa right here and now . their eyes scan her face as they snort, dry and tight . " gotta say that ship has sailed . feel free to fuck yourself though ." their eyes narrow at odessa slightly, their gaze sharp .

"my mess?" odessa laughed in their face, dangerously close to biting slater's nose off as a casualty of being allowed too close to the other, "you mean the mess that you fucking created, or have you forgotten? if you didn't fly off the fucking handle every time a girl spent two fucking seconds talking to me, maybe i wouldn't have left this band! not like there's much left of it when you turned it into a toxic wasteland of desperation and denial. i mean, i can't tell if you're actually this insecure or just fucking brain dead. which is it, slater? hopefully the former, because you at least had half a brain to fall for me." she didn't like to get like this, and odessa did her best not to reach such a level of rage often, unable to hold herself back once she blacked out despite how much care she still secretly clung to for anyone. everyone was collateral damage, even the person who still owned the only bits of her heart she'd ever been willing to give away. if anything, that made her rage worse. boiling within, there was nowhere to channel her anger except within her viciously slung attacks — at least until rod was taken off guard and odessa was suddenly met with slater's dark eyes inches from her own, able to feel their hot breath drenching her senses. before she could think, before she could process the noise that was released from deep within them, odessa gripped slater's shoulders and shoved them back with the little strength and leverage she had as rod and the team were already all hands on deck and prying them from each other. "i made you, slater, i gave you all of this. you may not have wanted it then, but something inside of you sure fucking wants it now." she had seen it for herself, the way they became one with that stage earlier. she'd never admit it.....but it was captivating. slater was made for the stage, even if they still didn't see that. shaking the others off of her, odessa straightened her shoulders and lifted her chin, pushing loose hair out of her face as a twisted smile took hold of her features. "as much as you fucking hate it, katz, you need me. you'll never make it without me, just you wait and see." they were right, though. as much as slater needed odessa, she needed slater right back. no matter how far she went, the distance between them, their success would always be tethered. they moulded each other, and no crowd would get half a decent performance from either of them if they didn't have each other driving them to be better. everyone says love is the most powerful force on earth, but the other side of its coin holds just as much coersion. "fuck you, slater," chest heaving, odessa almost regretted it. her only solemnity was meeting slater's eyes and seeing the hatred that burned for her within. it was easy to push someone away when they looked at you like that. "don't worry about getting me kicked out — i'm never fucking coming here again."

A/N: It's been a while y'all - boy am I glad to be back. Literally right after I posted my note about all of the stuff I'm working on, I got slammed with the biggest assessment I've had in my course so far (17 documents total once I'd finally finished it) and caught scarlet fever of all thing so it's taken a good while for me to finally feel well enough and have spare time to write - but here we are!

I'm so excited to write for my favourite built queen - this gif alone is makin me feel things. I'm going to format all of these the same way from now on with SFW and NSFW headcanons from now on. Ofc there will be warning for the NSFW section :)

SFW Headcanons

Odessa is the kind of gal that isn't really impressed by appearances.

Sure, she has her preferences and finds certain things attractive, but that isn't what piques her interest.

For Dez, it's all about personality, especially if you're the kind of person who is merciful and gentle with others.

This doesn't mean you have to be a doormat, in fact if you stand up for yourself (physically or verbally) when you feel as if you are being treated unfairly or others are being treated unfairly, that's possibly the hottest thing you could ever do in her eyes.

It's just something about the Peter Pan types that really captivates her. Not just in stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, but in being self aware of your strengths and using them to do right by those who are not in the same position of privilege.

This is how she figures out that her little crush on you was not just a little crush anymore.

She overheard you and another agent talking about life before the crisis, and found out that you used to do volunteer work every weekend delivering essentials to the homeless in your city and how much you missed your community outreach.

That and she watched you sock a guy in the face after he attempted to grope your friend at a bar.

It's healing for her and her inner child and she finds herself looking up to you as a role model - she's aware she's no angel and has done many questionable things to survive out there in the wasteland.

However she hopes that now as a part of Overwatch, she can be better and similarly to you, that she can use her position to help others less fortunate.

Dez is fine with casual or short term relationships and has had plenty in her time, she doesn't necessarily need to know someone to be attracted to them - but when she built that emotional connection with you, that's when she knew she was in for the long run.

The best part about dating Dez is that she isn't embarrassed easily - she's very open from the beginning which means conversation flows naturally with her. The downside of this is that for the first few months of being together, getting to sleep was nearly impossible, three am deep conversations just hit different.

This also means if you ever need anything, she is more than happy to accommodate.

Sick? She keeps note of the medication you need and when you need to take it so she can make sure you take it (and bring you water in your comfort water bottle to boot). That time of the month? If somehow the stash of your preferred products are out, she knows what you use - she will get you more without you even needing to ask (she will however check if you crave anything in particular on the way out).

Expect to be doing the same for her when she gets sick - she becomes the biggest needy baby when she's not feeling well.

She's stuck in bed? Yep. So are you.

Not even by choice either, she cages you with her arms and well that's that. There's no fighting this goliath of a woman.

Loves her cuddles - all positions.

Her favourite is being the little spoon though. It's not often that she gets to feel protected and cocooned (can you really blame her).

Loves PDA - particularly keeping an arm around your waist or you attached to her arm at all times, though she's known to do a casual steamy kiss in public when she's feeling particularly jealous.
