It really did give a sense of the wide open American landscapes. Almost like a western.

man supernatural might be bad but also ill be damned if thats not the most american show ever. like theres movies and tv that've tried to be this american but 99% have failed. you watch a particularly good episode of supernatural and suddenly you feel the hours of highway winds against your skin and theres more asphalt road than livable terrain for miles and you eat the best meal of your life at a pit stop and you havent gone to church since you were a kid but you still think about praying sometimes and you split a 6 pack with someone you love and a few too many people around you have guns and the land around you is so big when youre right in the center of it you feel like it could swallow you up and you know for a fact theres an unimaginable amount of mythology just beneath the surface. and then you watch the next episode where sam kills paris hilton or something

Americans have a weird idea of what is leftist. Nobody said she has to be leftist or expect her to be so but based on some, very few but still some, of the things she said and made people see she believed in since her miss Anericana documentary one would expect that any decent human being would spare even few words to acknowledge that one of the two sides want to erase rights for women (and had succeeded in many States) and that no tax cut is worth the pain of women bleeding to death because not even emergency abortions are allowed and doctors are scared. When you say nothing, nothing at all when it matters the most, one might believe that like your new friends, who instead have no problems in saying who they support, you do believe that those tax cuts for billionaires are worth the life and freedom of your sisters

okay, and like i said, if you believe that is the case, and a musician's politics are TRULY important to you... if you really do believe your taylor swift stanning is indicative of your politics... then you have a decision to make here, no?

this reads like a sam shepard monologue and I am absolutely here for it

I’m really fascinated/haunted by this notion that a rural town could pop out of existence and it would probably take weeks for anyone to notice, and in the end the first people to show up might be from a utility coming to shut off power for unpaid bills. Do you think society at large would recognize that everyone from a town of 100 people vanished, or would a network of individuals with no other connections simply think that their one friend or relation wasn’t returning calls? Would motorists passing through Kettleman City on the 5 notice that it wasn’t there? Or would they assume that they missed the signs for the exit and ride right through to Coalinga? Could a big town disappear? How long would it take for people to notice Fresno was missing? Bakersfield? If all flights into Las Vegas got cancelled, if the highway exits disappeared, would people assume it never existed? Would it fade from public memory? Would people choose to forget it? Would people silently accept that their friends and loved ones who lived there were never coming home?
