What the hell is a commission?
Sweet Peax fem! reader
This has been stuck in my head forever, and I don't know why... it started as a drabble then it just took off my guy. Random Tags: @missmarrinette @the-gargoyle-queen @xserpentlife @theangriestpea @sweetpeaxreader @sweetpea-fvck
Really an eviction?
That’s no coincidence. I’m going to Major McMoy about this bullshit. Grabbing my skateboard and slamming my trailer door, I speed down to City Hall. The streets are damp from the ongoing rain this past few weeks, shoving people out of my way I kick up my old board before the concrete stairs.
Running up the familiar hallway to her office, shutting the door behind me our eyes meet.
“Y/n? What are you doing here?” McCoy's voice rung out, gulping, setting my hand down on the chair. My tongue darting out dampening my bottom lip before speaking up, “How much is the debt and next year of rent for the trailer park?”
Her eyes widened momentarily, “I-Uh, Why are you asking, Y/n?” With raising eyebrows she caught on, with a small smile, McCoy turned as her finger pounded on the keys. “It’s about $50,000, but I already have an offer and-”
I interrupted, “No, the Lodges want to pay for your silence, but if that’s what it’s going to take.” She looked a bit taken back before I continued, “I know about you and Mr. Sheriff, I’m the only one. That’s a bigger bomb, so give me 1 week. Deal?”
“A week? That’s literally impossibl-”
“I’ve done it for Pop’s and I’ve done it for the White Wyrm, please Sierra do me a solid. I’ve never come in short. Not once.” Now crossing my arms as the Major looked between me and the red number on the document. softly she nodded as a smirk took over my face, “See ya next Friday, and remember ‘Tell the Lodges to piss off til then’, I’ll be here. 3:45pm sharp. And no telling anyone about this like the last times.” With another short nod, my feet took off as my board glided against the polished halls of City Hall. Men in suits yelling and a few women flipping me off.
The neon lights of the city blurred as my feet vibrated on the board that speed down the streets I call home. Pulling my shitty, old phone from my jean pocket. Scrolling threw contacts stopping for a moment to see the top message,
~Sweet Pea<3~
I’ll be home in a few days, this job fuckin blows. Love and miss you baby <3
Smiling softly at the last message he sent me I kept scrolling. A familiar contact name popped up on the screen, “Ok hello, Mrs. Wealthy.” Hitting the green phone putting it to my ear.
“Mrs. Lodge, Hello...”
It’s been over 97 hours of my hand dancing on pages and canvases, and days melted into songs that have played over 20 times. The darkening of my eyes and increased amount of caffeine and candy is taking its fuzzy toll. My palms dug into my eyes then dragged over my face as I pull paints and inks from their places. Once again dragging the brush across the cloth of the Lodge daughter and other various things requested, “It’s almost like she knew.” It was strange but she and another buyer made up 45k while I had the other 5 in savings.
Standing with stretching hands and popping back, I grab my empty cans of energy cans and toss them in the trash bag among the others. Taking the 6 pack of Monsters off the counter and to the mess I’ve called home for too long. The music drowned out the sound of a familiar bike and the front door trying to open, turning to see the chair in front of the door budging. Moving it and opening the door I was meet with the other artist Serpent, Jug.
“What do you want?” I growled as he shifted awkwardly, clearing his voice he sarcastically responded. “Ya know, Fp misses his favorite bartender, and Toni is all alone with drunk Fangs. What have you been doing?” Rubbing the now darker e/c eyes, with Sweet Pea’s black and white flannel that well could be a dress. “Studying Jug, you probably don’t know what it’ like being stupid. But it sucks. Tell your father that I’ll be back at work on Saturday. Goodbye Jug.” Shutting the and replacing the chair.
Back in the crouched position, I presumed the strokes of ink and oils as the next several hours melted into lost time.
Blinking madly the last stroke met the page and “Fucking finally! Yes! WooHoo!” Grabbing the hairdryer and drying it my eyes met the digital clock that read
3:21 pm Friday.
Placing the last painting in my portfolio and grabbing my board. Taking off on my board once again, to Pops. Stopping at the same black van Mrs, Lodge’s profile could be seen, while handing her one of the two portfolios in my hand. Opening the backpack it was all there, looking up met with a smile. As she held out a painting of her daughter, “Beautiful as always, Y/n.” Nodding, making my way into the diner the other costumer was sitting with her son.
Walking to the booth she smiled up at me, then her son turned. “ Hello Archie, Mrs. Andrews here’s your piece. If I may, I need to go.” She slowly unzipped it revealing a portrait of her son, a big gleaming smile turned to me. “What is that, mom? Y/n?” Archie looked between us when her mom handed me an envelope, “Remember what I said over the phone, bye!” Winking at the two before running out, “I have 10 minutes to get to McCoy, come on baby don’t let me down.” Dropping my board and skating down the well-known streets, rain fell from the sky making the wheels spin faster as my old converse pounded against the floor pushing me towards my destination.
Beating against my chest hurt as my lungs burned, running up 3 floors and bursting into Major McCoy’s Office. “I’m here, Not late! Y/n present! Now here.” Inhaling deeply looking up to see Mr. Lodge’s anger-filled face. “I’m not saying this again Hiram, the buyer shows tomorrow, if they don’t show. The trailer park is yours till then. Get The Hell Out- oh Y/n here for Josie? She’ll be here in a few, just sit down till then.” Her demeanor changed as I dragged myself to a chair as Hiram stormed out. Lazily raising the bag in the air. “It’s there, all 50k. Until we see another day. Hey rain looks like melted dimands and- what am I talking about?”
Worry was painted all over McCoy’s face as she glided over to me, placing her hand on my forehead it felt nice and warm. “You’re sick, y/n. When was the last time you slept-”
McCoy’s POV..(whaaaattttt? lol ) transitions to 3rd POV
“Oh Y/n.” I mumbled softly as her dark eyes fell shut and her breathing shallowed, grabbing the backpack and putting it all where it needs to be, “Once again Y/n you saved the day, only if your Sweet Pea knew.” and signed off the eviction. Pulling a blanket from the closet and draping it onto y/n’s sick form. Walking back to my desk I rang up Sherif Keller “Hello babe, I need you to go down to the trailer park and tell em’ that the park was paid for. They live rent-free for the next year.” Smiling as he asked who, “An anonymous buyer but not Lodge, make sure they know that.” Looking at the shivering form across the room, “Love you, see you later. Bye-bye.” Placing the phone on the receiver and calling another well-known number.
“Mayor McCoy?” The gruff voice came from the other side, “ FP I need you to come to my office, please. Now.” Hanging back up, and walk up to her form once again. Placing my hand on her forehand, my hand almost stung at the touch. “Damn girl, what did you do?”
Soon Fp showed up and immediately noticed y/n, “What happened?” He kneeled next to her cupping her face, turning to face me. “I’m taking her home, Sweet Pea won’t be happy,” he grumbled bridal style carrying her, “Just make sure she gets well, she deserves it.” With a raised eyebrow he shrugged it off and put y/n on the front of his bike making sure she doesn’t fall off, with of course her precious board bunji corded to the back of the bike.
Stopping in front of her and Sp’s trailer, Fp slowly took Y/n from the bike to her home. Sighing he walked into her home and placed her on the bed before his phone rang, “Yes?” Fp ran out of the trailer to his own.
Sweet Pea’s bike was rolled into park as Keller was giving the news.
“People of the trailer park community it brings me joy to tell you this, an anonymous buyer has saved you all from eviction and paying rent for a year. This buyer wishes to stay anonymous but let it be known it was no a Lodge, so celebrate!” Before he turned to his car passing Sp who had a shocked expression.
Smiling he dashed into his trailer to find a mess of art supplies and trash bags filled with candy wrappers and energy drink cans. Smiling went from worried within seconds, “Y/n? Baby? I’m home! Where are you?” He walked through the trailer finding her under a blanket shivering fast asleep, quickly coming to her aid he shook tried to shake her awake but received a grunt. Putting y/n under all the blankets he could find he went to find some medicine for when she woke up. Then he got a call from Fp.
Cheers were heard from miles around as every Serpent partied and drank in The Serpent King’s trailer about staying in their homes and not paying rent for a year. The detective couple went to demand who bought the park as Major McCoy kept her promise before Fp joined them in asking.
(Back to McCoy POV)
The four stood in front of me with demanding looks; the 2 Jones, Betty, and Sp. “They made me promise not to tell a soul and-” The writer spoke up,” But this is a good thing, they should be proud. We just want to know Major McCoy, the people want to know and plus-” He ranted before I got tired of the secret and him just pushing my goddamn buttons. “Fine, you want to know who bought your debts and rent for a year and save Pop’s twice and even saved the White Wyrm from the Lodges?” I snapped and they all nodded. “Y/n L/n, she bought them all plus other things but those were the most expensive.”
Seeing their faces was all the same. All Shocked for sure. Sweet Pea’s eye’s widened, I continued, “She came up with $50,000 in a week due to commissions and paid it off today about 25 minutes ago, now I suggest someone goes and tends to her, I bet 50k that she was awake for about 168 hours and has a terrible fever. If that’s all get out of my office.”
“What the hell is a commission?” Sweet Pea asked as Fp repeated ‘50k’ like it was the only word he knew. “She sold art Sweet Pea, that’s why her hands probably hurt.” They all left rethinking what just happened.
The three walked into the serpent’s trailer while Betty went to pick up stuff for y/n’s fever. Sweet Pea was able to get her into the shower as the other 2 hung out in the living room area. Jug observed the table with thrown sketches out of the way and paint cups filled with brushes. “She came up with 50k by art? Wow, she is talented for what I can tell.” Placing a sketch of Sweet Pea down looking at the garbage bags. Fp’s hands were in his hair, “50k- $50,000 dollars. She saved our asses and we didn’t even know-” Fp mumbled and his son answered, “she didn’t want us to know, Why?”
“Why? Because the serpents are my family. And family saves their ass no matter the cost, and I don’t want a single dollar from you or I’ll shove my sick ass foot up your ass, kapish?” Y/n’s now way deeper voice answered Jug as she made her way to the kitchen for some water.
Y/n POV
Drinking the water, Sweet Pea’s arms wrapped around me as his chin rested on my shoulder. “You’ll get sick babe.” I yawned as his grip got tighter, “I don’t care and how long since you’ve slept?” The trailer door opened as Betty walked through with a grocery bag full of things, “I thought I said no buying shit, and probably 170 hours Sp. Now I love you all but I’m going to bed night, I’ll be at work at 4 Fp, Come on Sweet Pea. Bed Time.” I grumbled as the rest chuckled, “No you will not come in tomorrow and Betty, darling I don’t care what you have to do but make y/n take her medicine. Goodnight everyone and-” Fp stood and walked over after telling Betty something, I don’t know, I was in a bone crushin hug. “Thank you y/n for everything, you’re a true serpent through and through. Love ya kid, now sleep.” Before stepping out Betty held out NightQuil, being so tired I just twisted off the cap and took a gulp.
“Nasty, now goodnight.” Turning and before I could walk Pea picked me up and placed me on our bed. Getting underneath every single blanket, he kicked off his shoes and pulled me into his chest. His hands danced in my hair and within seconds I was lulled to sleep to Sp’s voice.
Sweet Pea that night made a vow to give himself that small, velvet box in his underwear drawer will be given to her and he will cherish her till the end.

Here it is bois- Jagged Little Pill full plot synopsis
So, a lot of people in the JLP tag have been asking for a detailed synopsis of the show. I’m here to deliver! This goes out to @sunveiins and @lovebug1313 who I think were the first couple of people to start asking and wanted to be tagged to know when this was posted. Hope this helps for anyone who can’t get out to see the show!! (Also sorry this was delivered a bit later than promised I’m the worst sksdfn)
Warnings: Drug addiction, sexual assault, heavy topics like that and obviously spoilers if you want to go see the show for yourself
ACT 1:
-Mary Jane Healy is a mother obsessed with being seen as perfect, the best at everything, and with her family’s squeaky clean image. Literally all her energy is invested into making sure nobody knows that a single thing is wrong in her life.
-The show opens at Christmastime, and she is writing her annual family Christmas letter (the purpose of which is basically to brag about how great the Healys are doing and how she’s winning at life).
-She writes about how her husband Steve got yet another promotion at work. Her daughter Frankie is in high school, as artistic and expressive as ever. (“In fact, right now, she’s upstairs with her best friend Joann working on a little craft project. *Lights on Frankie and Jo upstairs literally making out* “We always emphasize the importance of female friendships.”) And her golden boy, her perfect oldest son Nick, has just been accepted early to Harvard. (Right Through You)
-A celebratory breakfast for Nick reveals that the family is actually falling apart. Steve works so much that his marriage to MJ is now distant, hostile, and non-intimate. MJ is pressuring Nick to be perfect and keep up the family’s image. She’s constantly arguing with Frankie, who is adopted and feels the fact that she is black is being erased by her family in this white trash Connecticut town. (All I Really Want)
-Nick’s friends at school congratulate him and encourage him to come to a party that night to celebrate. Frankie and Jo complain about their complicated relationships with their mothers (Jo’s mom does not accept that she’s gay). (Hand in my Pocket)
-MJ has a prescription for opiates as she had been in a car crash earlier that year. When they are unable to refill the prescription, she gets in touch with a dealer. (Smiling) WARNING THIS SONG WILL BREAK YOU EMOTIONALLY :)
-In class, a student named Phoenix (a good boy 12/10, the only man in the show apart from Steve who deserves rights) defends Frankie’s writing as the rest of the class ridicules it. The two start talking and developing feelings for one another, and they plan to meet up that night at the same party Nick had been invited to. (Ironic)
-Steve calls MJ to say he has to work late again. They get in an argument. Steve loves MJ and wants to work on things between them, but MJ is having none of it. (So Unsexy) Nick consoles an upset MJ who tells him that he’s “the only thing she’s done right.” She asks him to hang out with her, but he says tells her he was planning to go to the party. Nick sings about the pressure he feels from his mom to never screw anything up. (Perfect)
-Frankie and Nick roll up to the party. (Lancer’s Party [So Pure]) Frankie finds Phoenix and the two bond over their complicated home lives. Jo, who was dragged to a church function by her mother instead of being able to go to the party, joins the song. (That I Would Be Good)
-Bella, a friend of Nick’s, had gotten drunk at the party. The next morning the students are circulating pictures of her passed out with her shirt pulled up and talking shit about her. Frankie and Jo go to check on her and make sure she’s ok (despite the fact that they literally do not know her). Bella tells them that another friend of Nick’s named Andrew had raped her the night before while she had been drunk, but that no one will believe her. Frankie and Jo assure her that they believe her.
-Frankie goes home to confront Nick, who she knew had been with Bella and Andrew at the party. Nick brushes it off, citing Bella having been drunk and being known for her tendency to be dramatic. Their argument is overheard by MJ and Steve. Frankie tells Nick that as the only witness, he has to go to the police. MJ and Steve insist that he do nothing, as he had been drinking at the party as well and there could be consequences if that gets out. Also- insert subtext that MJ went through something similar to Bella in her college days. (Wake Up)
-MJ goes to church for the first time in years to pray for help with her addiction, her marriage, and her children. (Forgiven) (No one asked but this is my favorite song in the show, such a powerful moment. Idk if they do this still but at the ART they made it snow onstage, which really added to the sense of isolation the characters were feeling. One of the like 5 points in the show where I bawled my eyes out.)
ACT 2:
-Steve finally convinces MJ to go to marriage counselling with him, where she insists the problem is entirely his. (Not the Doctor) Big argument. Steve is frustrated that they haven’t had sex in almost a year while MJ says they shouldn’t need to since she knows from looking at his internet history that he watches weird porn every day. She feels unheard and unappreciated for all she does. He tells her she doesn’t have to do so much and starts singing a love song to her that gets hijacked by Phoenix and Frankie singing to each other. By the end of the song, the two end up in bed together. (Head Over Feet)
-Jo walks in on Phoenix and Frankie. While storming out of the house she runs into Steve and MJ and tells them what Frankie is doing upstairs. Phoenix gets the fuck out of there, so Frankie's alone to deal with her parents. She gets very upset that her parents aren’t ok with her choosing to have sex while they don’t care about what happened to Bella. She runs away from home, telling them some piece of paper doesn’t make her their daughter. That turns into yet another big fight between Steve and MJ.
-Frankie takes a train alone to NY. (Unprodigal Daughter) She tells Phoenix over the phone that she loves him, and is pissed that he isn’t ready to say it back.
-Students at the school discus how outrageous they think Bella’s accusation is. Bella comes to the Healys’ house to talk to Nick, but only MJ is there. MJ tells Bella that the same thing happened to her in college (likely the first time she had said it out loud). After Bella leaves, Nick, feeling the guilt of being the only person with the power make people believe Bella, tells MJ the full extent of what happened the night of the party. He had been in the room when Andrew assaulted Bella, but had been drunk and in shock and did nothing to stop him. (Predator) Nick tells MJ that he wants to go to the police and help Bella bring Andrew to justice. She tells him what’s done is done, and the only thing telling the truth would accomplish is ruining his own life. Nick accuses her of only caring because harm to his reputation is harm to hers.
-Jo comes to New York to pick up Frankie (who ran out of money and became desperate) and ends whatever undefined relationship/FWB situation they had going on. (You Oughta Know) (Holy shit. This one song alone deserves a tony. I cannot stress this enough- Lauren Patten is a GODDESS. I’ve never seen a standing ovation in the middle of a show before this.)
-MJ has overdosed on her painkillers and ends up in the hospital. (Uninvited) Steve arrives at the hospital and the fact that he didn’t know she was struggling rUINS HIM. (Mary Jane) They finally agree to actually put work into fixing their marriage.
Steve, through tears: “I never meant to make you feel like work was more important than you or the kids. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed, I’m sorry. I’ve made so many mistakes. I’m such a mess.” MJ: “I’m detoxing from opiates. I win.”
MJ admits to Nick that she was wrong, and tells him to go to the police- Bella’s story is more important than their family’s reputation. Nick had already told the police what had happened.
-Everybody attends a rally Frankie throws for Bella, believing her now that Nick had come forward. There’s an important moment between Nick and Bella where he apologizes and she's mad that he gets to be the hero, that her saying it had happened wasn’t enough. (No) (Side note: in the ART version I don’t think Nick had a line in this song, letting Bella speak, and he just held up a sign that said “silence is violence” which was so much better.)
-The time has come for MJ’s next Christmas letter. She decides it will be the last one she writes and is honest for the first time about what had happened in the past year.
She writes about how she is in awe of Frankie, who spent the past year fighting for justice for Bella. MJ publicly admits her own past of sexual assault. She mentions that Andrew is being taken to trial and will not defend himself- he wants Bella’s to be the only story told. MJ and Frankie reconcile. (Thank U)
Instead of discussing Steve’s work again, she talks about how they are both in therapy individually and as a couple. He took up guitar lessons, but only knows how to play one Alanis Morissette record.
She opens up about her overdose and her experience in treatment.
Frankie dares her to send out the letter, and she does. “Merry fucking Christmas!” (Wow MJ Healy telling all her friends she has flaws? We love character development)
-Everyone reflects on what they learned (very cliché but it works). Frankie and Jo rekindle their friendship. Jo has a new girlfriend. Frankie and Phoenix decided to be friends. (You Learn)

What Do You Say, Queenie?
John Bender x reader
Author’s note: Kids don’t smoke. Also sorry for the Freddie Mercury mention but like it’s the 80’s. Also I’m trying to not describe the reader as much. I hope it’s okay.
Warning: Swearing but done by me to describe John.
Request: Hi, please could I request a John bender x reader imagine where the reader always has to take care of her younger siblings (her parents are never around), she’s driving home one night in the rain with the kids and sees John (who she has a crush on) on a bench because he’s got nowhere to go, she lets him stay with them. He’s amazed that she’s able to look after them all and he gets along well with the kids and eventually John and the reader kiss and get together is this okay? Sorry it’s so long💚
@10blurredsmoke10
Song Recommendations: Bad Reputation by Shawn Mendes, Somebody To Love by Queen(Had to, sorry not sorry)
Most of the teenagers that go to Sherman High, prefer the front parking spots for easy access to the building but Y/n is a little different. She prefers the parking spot by the dumpster. Mostly for the view. The view of one “immoral” delinquents that leans against the fence beside the dumpster as he smokes. Her tinted car windows hide the fact that she’s staring at him. His lips curl around the cigarette and Y/n could imagine his lips doing something else.
She shakes her head and takes a deep breath. Y/n had made a huge change, regarding her hair. It was a risk using a picture of Freddie Mercury for his wavy shoulder length voluminous hair, but Y/n wanted a change. She had just had her braces taken off and her teeth were beautifully straight and pearly white. No longer did she have a picket fence mouth. No longer could stuck up female dogs named Claire tell her how she’s unattractive and could never find a man. Your father’s law firm, is Mr.Standish’s favorite to use, whenever he needs one, which is often. Your and her father were close professional relationship.
As long as your concerned is fine, as he’s always paid your father more than enough. Between yourself, and three younger brothers, neither of you have ever wanted for anything. You wanted records, you got records, you wanted concert tickets, you saw Queen three times and with every hip shake Freddie preformed you swooned like the other women in the audience. But would records and concert tickets make up for countless days and nights alone. No one to hold you after a nightmare. You were that person for your brothers just as your mother had been for you before she was sick and passed away. Your father’s second wife, the one he was sleeping with while your mother was in the hospital, is only a few years older than yourself and often away getting manicures and massages, leaving you picking up her sons, triplets, aged 3 years old, and caring for them until she gets home late at night.
You check your bright red lipstick in your car’s mirror. Slinging her backover over her shoulder Y/n starts walking away when someone starts following her and appears beside her.
“That color doesn’t suit you.” A feminine voice says from a car beside where Y/n is walking.
Y/n doesn’t look beside her, she doesn’t need to. It’s Claire.
“Screw off, princess.” A familiar voice says and following him a cloud of smoke.”Only room in this school for a Queen.” John gestures to Y/n.
“You screw off.” Claire retorts getting out of her car and slamming the door, shoving past the both of them.
“Morning, Y/n,” John nods, then runs past Claire making her skirt flip up.
Y/n couldn’t help but laugh a little at Claire’s red face after what John did. I should probably tell him that I can handle Claire myself, wonder why he cares and called me Queen. It’s probably the hair, he recognizes it. Fuck he’s going to make fun of me.
History, English, Math went by very quickly. Gym class drags on most days. . You were sitting on the girl’s side of the gym while John was on the boys.
“Alright, boys and girls, pair up. We’re doing a dance unit.” The gym coach screeches.
John’s scan over the girls, most were trying to find guys except for Y/n she stood off to the side, Andrew starts walking over to Y/n.
‘Nope,’ John thinks,’ Not on my watch.’
Long legs are John’s only advantages over Andrew, and the fact that John nonchalantly tripped him before he could ask Y/n to be his partner.
“So Y/n.” John leans against the wall. “ Guess we’re only two without partners.”
“I uh guess so, even if you did trip Andrew.” Y/n says trying not to blush.
‘Dancing involves hand placement,’ Y/n thinks. He’s going to have his hand on my waist.
“I didn’t trip him, just helped him to the ground, with my foot.” John gets off the wall as the coaches are herding teenagers onto the middle of the gym floor.
“Very considerate of you.” Y/n laughs as she pulls John to the group.
John’s moving slowly allowing himself to be pulled by Y/n and still being a little shit.
“Today all of you are going to learn how to ballroom dance. Because all of today’s dancing is hip thrusting, and gyrating.” The coach begins the lesson.
“Ooo, hip thrusting.” John whispers. “So sinful.”
Y/n stifles her laughter with her hand.
“Mr.Bender, and Ms. L/N, would you two like to demonstrate the hand placement, since this is very humorous to you.” The coach says.
John says “ We’ll give it a shot.,” He looks at you,” What do you say Queenie?” ,
“Uh, sure.” Y/n and John go to the front of the gym.
The silence of the gym is overtaken by whispers and wide-eyed stares. You were known as a rich quiet girl with braces with attached headgear and suddenly you’re wearing tight jeans, snakeskin top, red lipstick, and hair modeled after a man that wears women’s clothing and flounces around on stage.
Y/n expertly holds John’s hand and puts her other hand on his shoulders. John smirks and puts his remaining hand in her back pocket, only for her to pick his hand out of her pocket and place it on her waist.
“Can’t blame me for trying.” John laughs.
“Mr.Bender, since you find this so entertaining, why don’t you demonstrate a box step.” Coach says messing with the radio.
“I think everyone knows how to step forward, sideways, and back.” John retorts.
Y/n eyes widen, she wasn’t expecting John of all people to know what a box step is.
“Indulge me.” The coach says.
John rolls his eyes, and steps forward, sideways and back making a little square on the floor, and then twirls Y/n around.
The coach makes John and Y/n go back to their spot on the floor, and turns the music on so other couples can practice.
As Y/n follows John’s steps, she asks “ How do you know how to dance?”
“Dancing’s a prelude to sex, and I have a lot of that,so.” He answers.
“And you wanted to dance with me?” Y/n tries to flirt.
“Don’t think nothin’ of it, just didn’t want Andrew to crush your feet.” John answers coolly not recognizing that Y/n is trying to flirt.
The dancing class ends and the rest of the day continues with same pace of the morning classes. The bell of the last class rings and students run out of the building as the dark grey sky begins to open and pour down rain. Y/n runs to the back off the school near the dumpster to her car and tosses her backpack into the passenger seat.
She drives home and tosses her bag in her room and cleans up the kitchen and living room. The playroom can be cleaned up later. The pick up time for the preschool that her half-brothers are at, is at six but with the thunder storm she decides to pick up the boys a little early. With her homework finished, she packs up the car and heads over to the preschool.
Aiden, Freddie, and Michale wave with the owner of the school at the car.
Y/n grabs the umbrella from the car and brings each of the boys to the car. Once everyone is buckled Y/n starts the car and pulls out of the parking lot. The darkening sky and heavy rain cause her to drive slowly as her brothers in the back seat raced raindrops. Freddie’s raindrop was wining and Aiden didn’t like this and didn’t want to play anymore so he looked out the window.
“Sissy, there’s a hobo in the grass.” Aiden yells.
Y/n’s slows the car to a stop beside the stop sign before their neighborhood.
She looks out the window,” That’s not a hobo, that’s..John.”
She pulls off the road and steps out of the car with an umbrella.
John sits up completely drenched, his jacket wrapped against his shoulders like a makeshift umbrella. The white shirt clings to his chest and torso.
“What are you doing outside?” Y/n asks holding the umbrella over him.
“Nowhere to go, Queenie.” John shot back. “You’re getting wet now.”
“You like kids, John?” Y/n looks back to the three boys with their faces smushed against the window looking like little piglets.
“Never met any.” He shrugs standing up.
“Get in. “ Y/n opens the door for him.
The three boys start giggling as John sits down and the car starts moving
“Boys, be nice, this is John, a friend from school.”
“Do you like our sissy?” Aiden asks getting down to brass tacks.
“Uh she’s nice.” John answers a little taken back by the child’s bluntness.
“Please ignore them.” Y/n says pulling into the driveway.
Once she turns off the car, the boys are out and running to the door.
“You take care of them.” John asks once the boys are inside and run up the white stairs in the middle of a fancy house.
“Yeah, my uh stepmom isn’t the most maternal, and doesn’t like being around her kids or me for that matter .” Y/n sits on the couch.
John sits by her. “ That’s messed up, what happens when you leave?”
“I don’t know.” Y/n shrugs.” I can’t abandon them.They’re my brothers.”
“Half.” John reminds.
“If I don’t take care of them, than a nanny will, and you know what that means.” Y/n leans towards him.
“They become emotionally constipated.” John answers.
“No, well yeah but worse, they become spoiled brats and then become lawyers.” Y/n smirks.
“Ew.” John says.
“Yeah ew.” Y/n nudges him. “ Help me make dinner.”
*45 minutes later*
“So you put them to bed too?” John asks.
“Yup. I normally read them a bedtime story but..” Y/n gestures towards the two of them.
With the upstairs lights off and three little boys sleepily closing their eyes, Y/n rejoins John at the bottom of the steps.
“Queenie, I’ve been thinking.” John starts and gently pulls her down when he realizes she’s still standing.
“Go on.” Y/n says with a small smile, “ I’m listening.”
“What do you say, Queenie, be my girl?” John asks looking up at Y/n awaiting her answer.
She doesn’t answer, Y/n grabs John’s collar pulls him closer and kisses him.

Hit list (rewritten) - T.H.
Word count: 2495
Summery: A coldhearted heartbreaker. A actor looking for a challenge. A dangerous game, that can only end with a broken heart.
Songs to listen to:
Hit list - Will Jay
Heat - Scarlet Plesure
Masterlist | Promptlist | Giveaway!
A/N: I’ve rewritten this. It’s the first story i posted on Tumblr, and i have been thinking about this one a lot. I’m pretty sure i’ll make some more parts for this one, since i really enjoy writing it. I have been feeling a little stuck with what i’ve been writing today, but this one definitely helped with that!
Tell me what you think, and let me know if you want to be tagged in the next part!
It was a friday night like any other. You had just left Mike’s apartment, where you had left him broken hearted. From the beginning, you had told him what he was getting in to. But like any other guy, he thought he could be the one to change you. The one who could make you fall in love, make you settle down. But like every other guy before him, he couldn’t.
To celebrate another heart on your hit list, you went to your usual club in Kingston. As you walked inside, you could feel the vibrations from the bass, through your body. Walking straight to the bar, you found one of your best friends behind it. Just like you, Andrew was here every weekend. Only difference was, he was here for business, while you took care of the pleasure.
“Miss Y/n! Can’t say I’,m surprised to see you here!” Andrew said sarcastically, yelling over the music. One of the perks of being friends with the bartender, was knowing who was in the club.
“Andrew! Any interesting people tonight? Oh! And give me a Skinny Bitch, but hold the water” You sent him a smile. Now, was one of the few times you would pay for your own drink, but you knew better than anyone that, that wouldn’t last all night.
“A vodka with ice coming up! And yeah. There’s some actor dude or something. He paid extra for not telling anyone. Whoops” He said with a shrug, sending a nod towards the tables. He handed you the drink, which you gladly took.
“An actor? Must be my lucky day” You said, drowning the drink. “I don’t have that on my list. Yet”
Tom was chatting with the twins, trying to catch up on the past months. Harry was talking about something Paddy had done, when a girl caught his attention. He had never seen you before, but something about you, made him want to see you again. your black dress was short, but still long enough to make you seem classy. When you sat down in the bar, he turned his attention back to his brothers.
“Do you guys know the girl at the bar? In the black dress?” Tom asked, curiously glancing back at you.
“That’s Y/n. But you won’t stand a chance with her” Sam commented, following his brothers gaze. “She’s been around for about 4 months, and in that time, she has broken more hearts than I can count”
“She makes guy fall in love. Makes them think they got her to settle down, and then she leaves them” Harry added. Tom looked at you again. You had the face of an angel, so could you really be as bad as they said?
“Tom, no. I veto her, so you can’t go for her. She’s going to wreck you” Sam said, sending his brother a serious look.
“Yeah, I’m not gonna listen to your veto. Sorry, but. One harm in a one night stand, right?” Tom sent his brothers a cheeky smile
***
After your 3rd drink, you decided it was time. You sat the glass down, and walked over to the table. You recognized his friends. You had made out with one of them several times. You saw them regularly here, and you had been chatting to them a couple of times.
“Hey guys! Who’s your friend? He looks a little young” You smiled, as you sat down next to Sam. The relationship between you and Sam, mostly consisted of you using him to dumb a guy. He never seemed to mind.
“I’m Tom. And I’m 21, so I’m definitely not a minor” Tom greeted you, with an offended smile.
“Then you have a bad case of babyface. You could pass for a 15-year-old” You commented, sending him your most charming smile.
“Funny you should say that. It’s the point. I’m playing Spider-Man. It’s a pretty big deal” He said, as he leaned confidently back in his seat.
“And I just got cast as Black Widow in her stand-alone movie” You said sarcastically, making Tom widen his eyes and lean forward.
“Wait really? Marvel stopped telling me stuff, because I’m not that good at keeping secrets, so I wouldn’t know” His eyes kept searching for yours, but they never quite caught them.
“Really? I would never take you as a blabber mouth” You said, making Sam let out a laugh. “We all know you are one, Sam. By the way, how is your cheek doing?”
“Fine, no thanks to you” Sam sighed, before looking you in the eye. The last time you made out with him, he got punched in the face.
“Don’t act like you didn’t enjoy it. As I recall, you’re the one who wanted a round 2” You said, sending him a wink.
“Y/n. Can I buy you a drink?” Tom asked, a slight blush visible in his cheeks. “I’m getting some for us anyways, so I thought you might want one too” You looked at the bottle of liquor already on the table, before finally looking Tom in the eye.
“I’ll join you to the bar. You can’t carry four drinks by yourself” You said, as you got up and started walking towards the bar. It didn’t take Tom long to follow. You sat on a barstool, and shortly after he sat next to you.
“So. Y/n. You look lovely” He said shyly. You bit your lip shyly, as you sent him a shy smile. One of your favorite songs started playing, and you smile changed to a smirk.
“Dance with me!” You said, taking his hand, and dragging him to the dancefloor. You let your body follow the beat of the music, as you moved closer to Tom. He followed the moves from your body, and before long, you were standing with your back against him, your hips moving together.
“I need your heat
Lovers one more time, I got the feeling it could be the right - i need your heat”
He had his arms around you, and you could more than feel the heat from his body. When you pressed your body even closer to his, you could the bulged in his pants, and a smirk formed on your lips.
After a while, he took your hand, and pulled your back to the bar. Both of you had lost your breath while dancing.
“So that drink?” He asked, with a perfect smile. Your eyes caught Andrews, and before you could answer, he had already placed 2 drinks in front of you.
“You mean these?” You asked with a charming smile. You took a sip of the drink, while looking at Tom paying for the drink. With your hand in his, and a drink in the other, he led you towards a couch in the corner. The music wasn’t as loud, which made it possible to talk.
“Why don’t we get to know each other? You seem like an interesting girl” Tom said, sitting down close to you. Your bare legs were touching the fabric of his jeans.
“Didn’t your friends warn you about me? I find it hard to believe that Sam would keep quiet” You turned your head towards him, looking in his eyes.
“They did, but maybe I want to decide for myself” He said, leaning in confidently.
“I’m telling you this now. If you stick around, I’m going to break your heart. You’re going to be crying your eyes out, when I leave you. I’m going to make you wish you never even laid your eyes on me” You said, carefully licking your lips, as the tension grew.
“I’d like to see you try. Maybe I’ll break your heart” He said, staying completely calm. You could feel his hot breath on your lips, and his fingers gently brushing your thigh.
“Are you sure you want to play this game? The whole world might be watching, Spider-Man” You pressed your foreheads together, while biting your lips.
“I have an apartment nearby, if you’re scared of being seen. Maybe the whole world is watching when I break your heart” He whispered, before closing the space between you.
“I’m not afraid of being seen. I just like having some privacy” You said, pulling back, and taking a sip of your drink, as if nothing had happened.
“You’re kind of an tease, do you know that?” He asked, with a laugh. He sat up straighter, and just shook his head.
“Me, a tease? Why am I a tease?” You asked innocently.
“I think you know exactly why” He said, leaning in once more. Following his lead, you did the same.
“Oh yeah? I told you I liked it private. I don’t want to hold back. I’m the kind of girl who goes for the whole pizza, not just a slice” You said in a low voice, as your eyes went up and down his body. When you pulled away again, he had a smirk on his lips.
“May-maybe we should do something about that?” He said, a bit taken back. The confidence was gone, and he realized that he didn’t have the upper hand.
“What kind of girl do you think I am? I don’t sleep with people I’ve just met” You said, shaking your head at him, as you stood up. “If you really want to, you could start by asking me on a date, and pray that I say yes” You looked at him for a couple of seconds, before you walked back to the bar.
“It’s been 2 hours. You can’t be bored already” Andrew laughed, as you sat down. You showed your hand, and counted down the seconds. On perfect timing, Tom sat down on the stool beside you.
“Y/n. It’s about 1. If you give me 45 minutes, I’ll take you on a great date in the park. It’s a beautiful night, and I promise I’ll make it worth your while” A slick smile was on his lips, and his confidence was back. Before you could answer, he had opened his mouth again. “It’s a date then. I’ll see you in 45 minutes, in the middle of the park”
“What just happened?” You asked Andrew, as Tom left the club.
“Loverboy just asked you out, and didn’t even give you a chance to reject him” Andrew gave you another drink, before going to another guest.
“Game on, Tom” You said to yourself, as you took a sip of the drink.
***
When you got to the park, you couldn’t believe your eyes. There was a blanket on the ground, and fairy lights in the tree. There was food from both MacDonald’s and Pizza Hut on the blanket, along with two big paper cups. It looked like something from a romance movie, and you were more than impressed. But Tom didn’t need to know that.
“This is cozy” You said, sitting down on the blanket next to him. Your dress slid up a little, but at least you had you sports short on, so he didn’t get to see too much.
“What can I say? I’m just that good. Now, what do you want to eat first?” He asked, pointing at the food.
“Burgers” You said, as you grabbed the brown paper bag. You opened it to find 2 cheeseburgers and French fries. You could never really go wrong with that, and you were slowly starting to realize that he had set a high standard for the two of you. You had to do something big, to top this.
“So, where are you from? Where did you live, before you came to Kingston?” Tom asked, as you took the first bite. You didn’t mind the question, but you didn’t love it either.
“(your home country). I finished school, and then I just left, I guess. I travelled a bit before I got here” You smiled. It was now the real work started. The game of letting him think he got to know you, but never actually letting him get close. Telling him things, that seemed personal, but wasn’t. “What about you? I haven’t seen you around”
“I’m from here. I’ve been in the States, for the movie. It’s a lot of fun, but nothing beats being at home” He was already done with his burger, but you were only halfway through yours. “When do you plan on going home?”
“If you mean home, as the place I come from, never. There’s nothing left for me there, so I’m not going back. As soon as I graduated, I packed my bags, and never looked back” You said, a sad smile on your lips. It was the truth, but it didn’t upset you. You were more than happy to have left your old home.
“Do mind me asking why? Don’t you have a family?” He asked. He looked at you with kind eyes, and you found it hard to not smile. He’s was making this easier than you expected.
“I just never fit in. Everyone wanted me to fit in a certain box, and stay between the lines, and I couldn’t do that. So I decided to just leave, and find myself a new home, and here I am!” You laughed, as you finished the burger.
“Sounds awful. If it’s any help, I never fit in either” He opened the pizza box, and the wonderful smell of melted cheese and pepperoni filled the air.
“Really? I find that hard to believe. I bet the girls were all over you!” You said, taking a slice of the pizza.
“They weren’t! I had a mole on my cheek, and I was dancer. Ballet, doesn’t get you a lot of guy friends. I was just the kid, who spend most of his time at the theater. Till I started on the BRIT school, and then things got a lot better” He laughed, as he took a slice.
“So you’re a dancer?” You asked, a bit surprised.
“Yeah. Gymnast too. That’s 90% of the reason to why the cast me as Spider-Man. The backflips were the deal breaker” He joked. You kept talking while you ate the pizza. After a while, the chilly air got to you, and you started to shiver.
“Cold?” He asked, already taking of his jacket.
“Just a little. I should properly just head home” You said, as he put his jacket around your shoulders, as you got up.
“I live nearby. We could. We could go to my apartment?” He asked, looking like a deer caught in the headlights.
“It’s fine. I got plans for tomorrow, so I should get some sleep” You lied. The only plans you had for tomorrow, was watching Netflix.
“Can I have your number? So we can take a second date?” He asked, as he looked you in the eye.
“No. But you can ask me tomorrow night. I’ll be wearing your jacket” You sent him a playful smile, as you started walking back to your apartment.

A Night To Remember - Part 1
Part 1 | Part 2
Pairing: Jellybean Jones x Archie Andrews
Description: AU in which JB is just an year younger than Jughead and she’s in love with his best friend.
Warnings: None that I can think of.
Word Count: 1587
A/N: I usually post on @serpent-jugheadjones but since this isn't a Jughead fic, I decided to do it here. Therefore anything from other characters that I write will be done here :) Let me know is you want to be tagged on any of my stuff!
The best thing about falling in love with her brother’s best friend is how comfortable he is around her, that the boy doesn't even bother putting on a shirt before entering the kitchen in the mornings after a sleepover. Jellybean doesn't have much time to enjoy the view, though, as Jughead is always nearby.
The worst of it is the fact that Archie’s so oblivious to her feelings that he shares his love life experiences during breakfast. Certainly, hearing about his dates isn't JB’s nor Jug’s favorite subject. When she’s lucky, they get to talk a little about music before her brother shows up.
The three teens sit on the round table in the Jones’ kitchen, each with a plate of pancakes, Jughead’s with a few extra ones, and a glass of OJ. “Valerie broke up with me.”, Archie speaks before eating. “No wonder. You've been pimping yourself out to Cheryl.” Jug doesn't even finish chewing his pancake before talking. JB just stuffs her face with the food so she doesn't have to give an opinion. “HA. HA. I’m gonna try and talk to her tonight.”, the ginger says as FP walks in and fills his mug with coffee. “Dude, not a good idea. Just let it be.”, the dark-haired boy advises. “Easy for you to say. You have Betty.”, Arch says bitterly. “You should listen to Jughead. When women are mad at you it’s best to give them space. Right, JB?”, FP smirks. She chokes on her juice as the man leans in to kiss his daughter’s ruffled hair before sitting next to that jittery girl. “Right…” Jellybean widens her eyes at that ironic impossible clever dad she loves so much, for he’s the only one who knows about her crush and she’d like to keep it that way. Archie just gives JB a half smile that melts her heart.
Later that day, she gets a text from Archie. Her mind races through all the possibilities of what the boy could've said while her old phone loads the message.
From: Archie xX
Surprise party for Jug at my place at 8. Come.
Reason tells her to warn her brother since he’s not a fan of parties and dislikes even more his birthday but she can’t seem to shake the feeling that this is finally her chance with the Andrews’ boy.
JB arrives at Archie’s place, a little nervous but ready to tell the boy how she feels. “You look great.”, he greats, letting her in. The girl takes off her jacket, revealing a white crop top and a black skirt overall. “Can I get you anything?”, the boy offers. “One of whatever you’re having.”, the girl requests, smelling liquor in his breath. “Jug would kill me. For you, just a soda.” Archie hands her a red solo cup containing the fizzy drink. Their fingers touch for a second, enough to turn her cheeks red. “Jughead is coming. Everybody hide!”, Ethel shouts and they lean under the kitchen island. “Shh.”, he whispers, placing a finger in her mouth as she was just about to say something.
The door opens and the lights turn on. “SURPRISE!”, a choir of voices shout standing from their hiding spots. Jellybean can see the loathing in Juggie’s eyes as people start hugging him. “Happy birthday.”, the girl wishes quietly, embracing him. “You knew about this and didn't tell me?” Lucky for her Betty comes out with a burger-shaped cake singing Marilyn Monroe style and JB doesn't have to explain herself.
Soon after, the party goes wild with the arrival of Cheryl and the rest of the school with booze and party lights, turning the living-room into a dance floor full of drunk teens. From the doorway, Jellybean watches Archie losing himself to the dance. When the ginger boy spots that beautiful girl standing there, he pulls her by the wrist. In a heartbeat, they start swaying to the rhythm of the song, their bodies brushing against each other’s every once in a while. JB is sure Arch can feel the electricity flowing through them.
A couple of songs after, they’re both tired and in need of fluids. The euphoric teen follows an oblivious Archie back to the kitchen where she hops on the marble counter as the boy grabs a couple of bottles from the fridge to mix them a drink. “Arch.”, Jellybean calls his attention softly. “Yeah?”, he questions, pouring a little too much vodka on his cup. “I listened to your songs.”, she confesses, still a little breathless. “The ones on SoundCloud?” Archie looks up at his friend’s sister amazed, handing her one of the cups. JB nods. “They are amazing.” The girl smiles and takes a sip from her drink, wincing at the bitter taste in the back of her throat. “Dance, Dance, Dance is my favorite.” She looks directly into his eyes. He’s leaning in slightly. “Archie, where’s the keg?” Arch hesitates for a while, and steps away when he listens to a familiar cough. “In the back.” He recognizes Joaquin and takes him to the booze. FP enters the kitchen right after. “Was that a move?”, her father asks playfully, pointing at the ginger boy leaving. “Don’t know what you’re talking about.” JB jumps off the counter and grabs her drink before her father notices what’s inside. FP just chuckles as she returns to the dance floor.
Out of a sudden, things get out of hand, beginning with Archie receiving a faceful of liquor instead of whatever he was hoping for with Valerie. Then, when Jug tries to bolt, Cheryl stops him, making everyone play a weird game called “Secrets and Sins”. People start accusing each other of all kinds of crap, and all hell breaks loose as a dumb jock calls Betty out on what happened at Ethel’s. Jughead punches him unsmartedly, getting hit back twice as hard. Fortunately, Jellybean went to get her dad as soon as trouble started. The man gets there just in time to pull Chuck out of Jug, before he can make any more damage to his son’s face. He throws everyone out and Betty ashamedly goes away as well. “Why aren't you going after your girl?”, FP asks, holding his son by the arms as he was trying to get in. “Can’t leave Archie alone.”, Jug excuses. “JB is staying. Go after her. She needs you now more than ever.”, his father instructs.
The house is a mess. Solo cups flying all over, bottles rest on every flat surface and Archie slouched on the couch as drunk as one can be. “Come on. Let’s get you to bed so I can clean up.”, JB tells him, warping one of his arms around her neck in a feeble attempt to get him up. “You didn't have to stay.”, Archie drunkly says, pulling her to sit next to him. No point fighting against it as he’s twice as strong as her, not that she really wants to. “I couldn't help it.”, the girl tells him. “Why?”, he asks, almost hopeful. “Because I’m in love with you…”, Jellybean confesses, both nervous and excited at the same time. He leans himself forward the closer he can get to the raven-haired girl. She closes the remaining distance between them, lightly touching his lips, feeling the ground being pulled from under her. Literally, since the boy grabbed her hips to straddle her legs around him.
No cleaning was done that night. The two teens just savored each other’s company. With a lot of work, she managed to drag the drunk ginger to his room, where he fell head first on an air mattress, leaving his bed empty for her. When the girl woke up in the morning, she made sure to leave the place impeccable for when Mr. Andrews got back. JB gives a sweet peck on sleeping Archie’s cheek before leaving.
The raven-haired girl arrives home to her brother and father at the table having breakfast. “Is that Archie’s shirt?”, Jughead asks. “Maybe…”, the girl says with a grin. “I just borrowed it to sleep, in a separate bed!”, she adds hurriedly at FP’s concerned and almost angry face. “I’m going over to his place to make sure everything is ok.” Her brother walks out of the table leaving his dirty plate behind. “I’m not washing your dirty dishes.”, JB shouts as Jug goes through the door. “Didn't you just wash the plates at Andrews’ house?”, her father asks, piling his and Jug’s plate for her to wash.
Jughead arrives just in time to wake his friend before his father comes home. “Jug. The most amazing thing happened.”, Archie says dreamily, still laying down. “Is that so?”, the dark-haired boy asks. “I think I kissed Veronica last night. I was so wasted all I know is that she stayed the night.”, he answers looking up, trying to remember better. “Veronica left with her girlfriend CHERYL, as soon as shit hit the fan. JB was the one who stayed.” Jughead says. “But then… Jellybean? Oh… Yes.” Panic takes over the ginger as he realizes what he did. “Dude, did you just fess up to kissing my sister?” Now Juggie and Arch have another situation to work through.

I would like to thank @leaalda for making these amazing banners.
This is an effort to spread the word about all fan fiction writers in our little fandom. If you would like to be featured or nominate a writer, please contact me. Please reblog this post if you can and check out some of @allskynostars work!
1. First things first, if someone wanted to read your stories where can they find them.
The can find them on my tumblr; https://allskynostars.tumblr.com/tagged/allskynostars-fics or on AO3; http://archiveofourown.org/users/allskynostars/pseuds/allskynostars/works
2. Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Jenna, I am 23 (24 in a couple of weeks!). I have 3 brothers.. It's been a struggle haha. I was born in London, my parents and I moved to New Zealand when I was 6 months old. And just two months ago I moved back to London with my boyfriend. I've written a few fics, and have just finished my first multi chapter Ever Since New York. I am currently unemployed, but looking for Pharmacy work as that's what I did at home and would like to continue.
3. What do you never leave home without?
My phone! And keys.
4. Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Night owl, 100000%. I suck at mornings.
5. If you could live in any fictional world which one would you choose and why?
Maaan, probably Middle Earth. Like I would kill to be an elf and shack up with Legolas. Or Thranduil, keep it in the family yunno. Or the Harry Potter universe because magic? Yes.
6. Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met.
I've 'met' a whole heap, like I've paid at cons and things to meet Aidan Turner, Dean O'Gorman, Andrew Scott, Karen Gillan. I went to the Age of Ultron prem when I was in London last time and got photos/signatures with Mark Ruffalo (ultimate fav), Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor Johnson. I got Robert Downey Jrs autograph but no photo. But just by chance without planning too I met Jenna Coleman. We were visiting my family in Wales and just so happened to drive past during filming. Didn't quite get to meet Peter Capaldi though. And then I was in London last time, me and my best friend walked into Jamie Campbell Bower in the street. The story Is actually so cool but I feel like this answer is long enough hahah.
7. What are some of your favorite movies/TV?
Movies: Eternal Sunshine, Only Lovers Left Alive, Big Daddy (my go to movie when I'm sad, I love Adam Sandler). I always struggle to answer this because after I think of one I should have mentioned! Shutter Island.
TV Shows: There are far too many but right now Riverdale, obviously. And I just smashed through Brooklyn 99. The OC, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, SOA, Friends, Being Human, the list goes on...
8. What are some of your favorite bands/musicians?
SO my first favourite and was Panic! At The Disco. Then My Chemical Romance took over my life. Now I'm into The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Bastille, Hozier, Tom Odell, James Bay, Ed Sheeran. Thanks to my Dad I love Alanis Morrissette and Radiohead. Thanks to my Mum I have a soft spot for Robbie Williams. My music taste is diverse so I listen to a lot of rap. I'll defend Kanye West to my dying breath, I really like Post Malone at the moment too. It chops and changes so so much. Also I've seen One Direction 4 times so judge as you will, ahaha.
9. Favorite Books?
Pretty generic, really. Harry Potter series, LOTR, The Mortal Instruments series and all that go with it. Fault In Our Stars, All The Bright Places, Lovely Bones.
10. Favorite Food?
I love Mexican food.
11. Biggest pet peeve?
Sidewalk Hoggers who walk SO SLOW.
12. What did you want to be when you were little? What do you want to be now?
I always wanted to sing or act, but seeing as I can do neither.. I always wanted to work in the entertainment industry and sometimes still do, like behind the scenes. Maybe in Media. But for now I love working in Pharmacy and want to train to become a Pharmacy Tech.
13. What are your biggest fears? Do you have any strange fears?
I don't have many fears, I have no issue with the dark or heights or anything like that. I HATE bugs, like any kind of insect or creepy crawly, just no. Sometimes even butterflies irk me.
And as far as strange fears, everyone always looks at me weird when I say this, I have a fear of whales.. Like I don't like the ocean or fish, sharks etc, but I can handle it. But whales? No. I get goosebumps and feel like my throat closes up when I look at them. I think it's to do with their sheer size and power. I don't even know why but I just, I can't.
14. When you are on your deathbed what would be the one you’d regret not doing?
Seeing the world.
Okay... lets talk about your writing!
15. Which is your favorite of the fics you've written for the Bughead fandom?
Probably Who She Was, How She Loved. It was only a one shot, and it hurt like hell to write, but it seemed to get a reaction from everyone who read it and that's what we write for, right? I don't even know where I pulled that fic from, but I really love it. It feels real.
16. Which was the hardest to write, in terms of plot?
Ever Since New York, just to keep it going. I didn't want to drag it out too much, but it needed a fair amount of content. So I struggled at the end there.
17. How do you come up with the ideas for you fic(s)? Do you people watch? Listen to music? Get inspired by TV/movies?
A lot of it definitely comes from music. Like, if the lyrics to a song resonate with me I always think of a story to go with it. Always, even if I have no intention of writing it. I also pull inspiration from certain movies and things, but it is definitely music at the forefront.
18. Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?
I really love the idea of room mate fics, I haven't actually tried though. Maybe I could do it.
19. Least favorite plot point/chapter/moment you’ve written?
I only posted the last chapter of ESNY the other day, and the response has been good, but I'm still not happy with it. I couldn't even read it over. I don't really know what my problem is, I guess I just felt it was very anti-climatic.
20. Favorite plot point/chapter/moment you’ve written?
In my fic And Then? There's a scene where Betty & Jug are in the ocean yelling, and I really loved that moment.
21.Favorite character to write?
Jughead. Always. He has layers...
22. Favorite line or lines of dialogue that you've written?
Dark. Brown. Not round, more sleek. The complete opposite of the girl who's face was flashing through Jughead’s mind at this very moment. Which he knew, of course he did. That's why he had picked her. With her dark head of hair, and her dark eyes, he would never have to be reminded of the one he was missing.
Except for the fact that he saw Betty Cooper in everything. And everyone.
23. Best comment/review you’ve ever received?
Every comment someone goes out of their way to write about something I've spent time on is amazing. I think it always makes me smile though when they say they can see it all happening as they read. And you know, making them cry when they say fanfic never makes them cry.
24. How do you handle bad reviews or comments?
I haven't been 'lucky' enough to have to deal with this, yet. But I think I would just ignore and delete the comment. Who needs that negativity.
25. If you could change anything in any of your stories, what would it be?
I think I would have included more characters in Ever Since New York, like Archie etc.
26. What is your favorite story you’ve ever written? Any fandom?
I've only ever written for the Bughead fandom, but my favourite is Who She Was purely for the emotions. I'm a sucker for emotions.
27. What are you reading right now? Both fan fiction and general fiction?
I have 51 bookmarks on AO3. So I am reading basically everything right now haha. But in terms of general fiction, I haven't read anything in a while and I need too.
28. Do you have an advice for writers that want to get into this fandom but might be scared?
As typical as it sounds, just do it. I was so nervous, but this fandom is hands down the best. Everyone is so, so welcoming, and if there are so many people to reach out too if you’re ever feeling unsure about your own work or anything. Just take the dive guys, it's a fun ride.

LEAD ACTOR
Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) Leonardo DiCaprio (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) Adam Driver (Marriage Story) Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes)
prediction : Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) winner : Joaquin Phoenix (Joker)

Tom Hanks (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) Anthony Hopkins (The Two Popes) Al Pacino (The Irishman) Joe Pesci (The Irishman) Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood)
prediction : Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) winner : Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood)

prediction : Bong Joon-hoo (Parasite) winner : Bong Joon-ho (Parasite)

SOUND MIXING
Ad Astra Ford v Ferrari Joker 1917 Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
prediction : 1917 winner : 1917
thoughts : This one feels like padding the stats just a little bit, especially with the wonderful radio/TV mixing for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but I’m not surprised that 1917 is winning technical awards.

prediction : Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker) winner : Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker)
thoughts : Of all the films nominated (that I saw), this one seemed like a lock for score, as that was one of several elements that pulled you into the engaging darkness of the film.
________________________________________
MAKEUP AND HAIR
Bombshell Joker Judy Maleficent : Mistress of Evil 1917
prediction : Joker winner : Bombshell
thoughts : This win makes plenty of sense to me, as the very recognizable actresses throughout the film were properly turned into their real-life counterparts enough to suspend disbelief. The Roger Ailes make-up was pretty spot-on as well.
________________________________________
COSTUME DESIGN
Sandy Powell and Christopher Peterson (The Irishman) Mayes C. Rubeo (Jojo Rabbit) Mark Bridges (Joker) Jacqueline Durran (Little Women) Arianne Phillips (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood)
prediction : Jacqueline Durran (Little Women) winner : Jacqueline Durran (Little Women)
thoughts : I wanted Greta Gerwig to get a couple of additional awards this year for Little Women, but if there was one award they were a lock for, I assumed that it would be costuming.
________________________________________
VISUAL EFFECTS
Avengers : Endgame The Irishman 1917 The Lion King Star Wars : The Rise of Skywalker
prediction : Star Wars : The Rise of Skywalker winner : 1917
thoughts : In all honesty, this was surprising. No disrespect to 1917, but I figured it’d be the last one to win for Visual Effects simply because most everything was done real-world and captured in camera.
________________________________________
After a disappointing set of results for my Golden Globes guessing, I’m surprised how well I did with the Academy Awards, as I normally stand opposed to their choices. I don’t know if my taste is shifting, or if Hollywood is shifting, but either way, 2019 was a wonderful year for film, and these results are a satisfying close to it.

"le raison d'être“ characters: Cher Michaels, Darla (Michaels) Matthews, The McCormick Family warnings: implications of parental neglect / emotional abuse / family issues
1981 words originally written 5/26/2017, no edits currently
The small bed and breakfast of Seaside Cove isn't a place most people would find at first glance. It's somewhat off to the side, located on a cliff, it's driveway shielded by trees. One driving through, especially in poor weather, is likely to miss the blue sign that points it's way down that road, or they're more likely to see the yellow diamond that says No Outlet and pass it up completely.
This is what Cher Michaels deals with every time he makes his way into this town. Leaning over the back seat of his Ubers pointing no, no, there it's there… and often sitting back grumbling when they drive past. The small bed and breakfast of Seaside Cove is larger than most houses still. It's old, a tall and skinny Victorian home with with red shutters and a door also painted red. The mailbox is shaped like a large blue whale, and when he steps out of his Uber often his first act is to run his fingers over the details of the metal. Handmade he knows, by the owner's father before he disappeared and became the sort of person who kidnapped rich kids for money. Cher heard he was in jail again last time he talked to his sister. Neither of them knew how to feel about that, all things considered.
There have been a few additions over the years, newly applied paint and a repair of certain parts of the house, a wheelchair ramp and several colorful picnic tables overlooking the sea. The newest thing Cher finds this time is the binoculars sitting at the very edge of the cliff, just before the fence to keep people from falling over. Twenty five cents for a minute, fifty for two. He doesn't know how they keep all this up with prices like that. It's a cheap place to stay too, five open rooms with two beds each at the most and a fee that was far less than most in the area and a house that was hard to find. They get more business in tourist season, but not by much. They have benefactors of sorts, himself semi-included when he can get away with it, but he still can't say if it would be enough. *** Cher Michaels arrives on an off season, bundled up for the cold Friday afternoon after cutting his last class to get here. Accounting, he'd told his sister when she tried to chide him, a class he both hates and excels at so don't sound like such a mother, Darla. “Well, I'm a mother now aren't I?” “You're not mine.” (That phone conversation led to awkward silence, both of them remembering their own mother. Darla makes a sound, probably to ask how Angelique is doing if she's well if she's healthy, but Cher cuts her off before she can. “I'll be there in a bit.”) Now, standing in front of the house, he stuffs his hands into his pockets and shifts awkwardly. He wonders if she's working right now, because he hadn't called her when he got out of class and into the Uber. He wonders if he should have let her ask. *** The small bed and breakfast of Seaside Cove is run by a couple in their late thirties. Junior McCormick and his wife Norelle, their children Andrew and Mia, and Junior's grandfather Reginald. Aside from his sister, they're the only ones who run the house. It's a family business, Norelle had told him, you and your sister are family too. He tries not to think about that. He fails often, it's hard when Norelle McCormick spots you from the window and is suddenly ushering you in, cooing over you like an Aunt you haven't seen in a while even though Cher reminds her it's barely been a month. Darla's not there yet, but his niece and nephew are. Tristan, getting bigger and learning how to walk, chases after Norelle son, a teenager who has the whole angst thing down to a T. Amèlie, nearly five, lays on her stomach at the foot of Reggie's wheelchair, quietly coloring while the old man sleeps. It's hectic as always, and Cher has to thank God that only the bare amount of family is here right now. Thanksgiving had seen this as well as the Winters twins, Junior's half brother with his mother and their childhood friend, and even Junior's father who'd stopped in at the end of the day to cause a commotion and leave again only to be arrested the following month for breaking and entering. “No one else is coming, right?” “Well…” “Other than Darla and Jere.” *** He's playing with Mia and Tristan when Darla finally shows up. It's nearly evening when she comes in with her husband, both of them carrying groceries. She's surprised when she sees him there. “I didn't think you were serious about missing class, Cher.” “When do I lie about that?” “Fine, I hoped you weren't serious.” He shrugs. “I'll make up what I missed over the weekend while you're working.” They both know this isn't true. More likely: Tristan will demand his attention, Norelle will need someone to watch Mia, Amèlie will want him to play her favorite slow piano song a hundred times in an hour, Andrew will need help with math. Cher never considered himself to be good with kids until he found himself with his sister's and Norelle’s crawling all over him. He thinks he likes them now, maybe, sometimes. He thinks he's a decent tutor too, he thinks he's getting better at patience. At least, with children. Wouldn't want one of his own but... well, it's been pointed out he indulges and humors them more than adults, at least. Before that, though, he pulls a few things from his bag. Wrapped in brown paper and again inside a plastic bag. He gives these to Darla. “Fran sent that envelope of money, Jolie sent the champagne God only knows where she got it, the coloring books too. I found that necklace here, in America, it was cheaper than I expected.” (She cries, of course she does. She wraps her arms around his shoulders. She doesn’t ask what about Father and Maman. Cher leans into it.) *** It's Saturday before he sits down with his sister. She's made iced tea, put it in two skinny glasses that she sits between them in the sitting room. He has Mia on his lap, reading some story to her while she points at brightly colored pictures that follow. Darla sweeps her away, depositing her into her great grandfather’s lap before taking a seat next to her brother. “You haven’t even looked at what you missed yet, have you?” Cher slumps back, looking away from her. “I don’t really need to, Darla.” She reaches out, fingers twitching on his sleeve as she tugs his hand closer so she can set her own in it. He lets her, glances at her, tries not to smile. “Have you decided what you’re going to do when you finish school?” she asks, and any semblance of a smile drops from his face completely. She notices, adjusts the question, it’s no better in his mind but at least it’s something he can answer: “How was Tours?” “Same as always.” “Is Maman doing okay?” “... no, I don’t think so.” “... Jolie?” “I can’t tell. She seems happy. I don’t know.” “Francine?” “She and father fought a lot this time, more than usual,” he leans back. “She’s smarter than him. I don’t think he likes that.” Darla can’t hold back a laugh and covers her mouth after, embarrassed. A little shamed. (He knows why, her laughs aren’t very modest anymore. Aren’t pristine, ladylike little giggles. They’re loud, she snorts now. He thinks it’s his fault, because he’s here she laughs just fine when she’s with Jere, when she doesn’t seem to care he’s watching.) “What does she think of everything going on? Have you told her anything you’ve told me?” Cher shrugs. “No, not as much. I think she can tell something’s up, though. I mean, clearly she knows I’m talking to you. I’m sure everyone does, at this point. I haven’t been exactly subtle, but Father--” “Tell me more about Christmas,” she says, cutting him off. When he looks over she has one of those forced smiles on again, pretty and polite, and he wants to sink into the earth when he sees it. It gets easier the more they talk about it, she even laughs a few times at the way Jolie dragged him out at night, hearing he was going out more. He tells her about his classes, his new ones, what he likes and what he doesn’t. He makes her tell him about her Christmas, after he left, the whole motley crew showing up to fill the house, leaving little room for business. “You’re a Scrooge,” she says when he points this out. “I’m practical.” “That’s what a Scrooge would say, Cherie.” “I haven’t been haunted yet.” “Give it time,” she teases, leaning in to pinch his cheek before Norelle calls her away. One couple had found the place, shivering with snow in their hair and grateful for the warmth of a fire. “The fuck do they think they’re trying to do?” Reggie asks Cher when he comes to pick Mia back up. Cher shrugs. “Sounds like they’re sightseeing.” “It’s fucking winter.” “They want to see the natural beauty, not the tourist traps.” “Fucking stupid of them.” Cher laughs, the only sign of his agreement before he leaves the old man to sleep again. *** Sunday evening, just before dinner, Darla sweeps into Cher’s room with her hands on her hips. “You have class tomorrow, don’t you?” He sets down his book, shrugs. “I sent in the homework when I had the free time. I don’t need to be back for anything urgent before one.” “Cher…” “What if I stayed here? What if I didn’t go back?” (And, it always comes down to this. He always backs up the second he sees the look on her face, the worry, the is this my fault the you don’t have to follow my example the we’re still family no matter what he says. It happens again:) “I’m joking,” he lies, and goes back to his book. He only looks up when he feels the mattress shift, sees Darla sitting next to him, leaning over his shoulder. “What’s this one for?” “Accounting, I told you I’d look over it when I had the time.” But, he closes the book and sets it aside when she leans her head on his shoulder. They stay like that until Andrew peeks his head in, rolls his eyes and says, “Hey, dinner’s almost ready and I still need help with this Calc stuff so…” *** What if I stayed here? What if I didn’t go back? He’d be miserable, he thinks. This was his sister’s life, what she chose to do with herself, and he knows very well he’d be unhappy doing this all the time. They’re different, the two of them. She likes to bake and garden and is excited over how rough her hands have gotten over the years, how much less they hurt the more she uses them. He likes the softness of his hands, likes staying inside cool rooms and playing or reading. He doesn’t know how he would survive with no money and a job that barely paid minimum wage, no matter how much he loved the McCormicks. No matter how much he loved his weekends and holidays here. Monday morning, when she’s hugging him goodbye, she says what she always does. “What if you tried something else? What if you found something else you loved to do?” He never tells her that’s impossible he really wants to believe it’s true.

Ludo: Your Awful, I Love You
Hello everyone; I recently discovered that the company i was working for is closing down in a few months so i had to spend some time milking them for extra overtime while looking for a new job. I found it and will starting in a few weeks; so now that i took care of that i’m back to my anniversary reviews. Yesterday i also saw Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie in Hartford and they put on a good show. If you ever get a chance be sure to catch them. Today i will be tackling one of Ludo’s most well known albums. They are a minor pop rock band that i would affectionately refer to as nerd rock and i’ve been wanting to get them off the list for a bit so let’s see how this album goes and maybe you’ll be hearing from them again sooner than i was expecting.
Love Me Dead (Single): We start off with what is one of the band’s most well known songs. It has a very humorous and simple yet highly creative music video that i would recommend watching when first listening to this song. It helps to get you into a smooth mindset and understand their goofy nature of songwriting. It begins with a spooky guitar melody before Andrew Volpe quickly enters with his words of romantic pleading. His wording is very poetic and gives a high sense of complexity to the lyrics that also surprisingly come off highly catchy. The chorus is full of loud guitar roars, careful drum bashing and a strong, emotional show of force in the verses. The pacing is nicely spaced out and allows for them to showcase their unusual use of the moog as a regular band instrument. Live wise this song has a good status as a mid range track between being easier going and highly complex at the same time. I’m sure it will resonate well with a live audience and the guitar solo at the end is a really nice segment for adding tension into the song. As a lead single it is probably one of the strongest radio tracks on the album; so as it is perfect for promotion; but as long as the next songs are solid its album placement should set things up rather strongly on the album. 8.5/10
Drunken Lament (Single): This is the second single for the album and begins with a simple drum opening before the guitars enter to infuse the mix with a cheerful pop rock atmosphere. The moog works nicely with the bass to create a nice classical element in the background. Andrew delivers more of his emotional ballad styled verses and pushes the song along rather nicely. The lyrics do move along slower as a result and may risk boring the listener if they are on the fence; but it does present a nice relaxation moment for the listener to unwind to during a lazy night at home. The drums do liven up towards the end and work with the instrumentals to establish a nice jam element for Andrew to build on with a little extra force in his delivery. 7.5/10
Please: The guitars begin softly while the bass takes on a more gloomy presence at the front and Andrew resorts to a more somber tone on this song. The chorus arrives rather quickly and brings more emotional power from the vocals. They avoid really pushing that sense of power and keep things feeling easygoing with ample spacing for the listener to soak in. The lyrics contain a simple format but do present a deep theme that seems to follow the last couple songs in that it is mostly focused on failed relationships. 8/10
Topeka: Now this is a personal favorite of mine that i could easily view as a solid live hit for the band to perform. It is an acoustic centered song that Andrew uses a more organic echo in his voice to really hit the listener on an emotional level. The lyrics reflect the angst in his tone perfectly and will do wonders at conveying substance to the listener. It will be very hard not to want to sing along on this one due to how catchy it is. The drums provide a good support element that keeps this semi-slow moving track feeling very full for the listener to be enthralled in. The moog solo is a nice touch that gives the band a sense of originality that you really don’t see very often in bands. I would note this as a highlight piece that should of been made a single due to its terrific radio potential. 9/10
Lake Pontchartrain: The drums begin this song with a more energetic jam tone before the guitars arrive with a very unique and catchy melody. Andrew sings over this with a smooth vocal style that emphasizes the unique party nature of this song. It will be hard not to want to dance along to this one during a live performance. This song will help to demonstrate the goofy nature of this band that helps it appeal so sincerely to its fanbase. The lyrics are another good element that will give the listener a strong story styled theme for the listener to remain heavily engaged with. 8/10
Such As It Ends: This emotionally cheerful pop rocker starts with a nice jam opening before Andrew arrives with an emotionally energetic tone. His lyrics are pretty smooth and are emphasized nicely with the use of the moog to give it a more organic texture. I would of liked a little extra presence from the instruments because they do leave the lyrics feeling a little flat during the chorus due to the atmospheric layer from the guitars. Other than that Andrew dominates the song strongly with his vocal performance and it would likely establish this as a very solid live piece for the band to play live. 7.5/10
Mutiny Below: Drums begin this song with a lower volume level but the same level of rock oomph. Andrew’s emotional style still permeates through this song and delivers song rather solid lyrics that are actually proving to be a consistent high point in this band. The chorus does well with giving the song some extra lift to be enthralled with. The instrumentals do a good job of finding a balance of supporting the vocals and actually trying to stick out on their own without needing heavy dissection. The backing harmonies work smooth and add another layer of substance to the background; which will help to keep the song from having any empty spaces from shining forth. This is definitely another highlight track on the album. 8.5/10
Streetlights: Acoustic riffs start this song off on a fresh note and are joined by emotionally soft verses from Andrew and his lyrics serve well to give the song a slow but effective opening. Backing vocals gradually arrive to support Andrew; which serves well to give him a nice harmony element in the background. The instrumentals are naturally very relaxed in their support role with the drums being the most prominent element in the mix. Because of this; there is a decent risk of the song starting to feel like it is either dragging its feet later; depending on what energy mood you are in. There is a nice flamenco style guitar solo later on that adds in some nice freshness to help the listener make it towards the end. 7/10
Go-Getter Greg (Single): Now this final single is definitely their goofy side on full blast. theme wise it features a guy desperately trying to make a girl his even though she could hardly even acknowledge him. Definitely a story of my life moment for anybody to relate to and infuse a strong sense of humor into the album as well. The moog begins over roaring drums with a Spanish flair that will resonate with the romantic nature of the lyrics. The lyrics provide a fast sense of humor and catchy melody that is infectious for the listener to sing along to during the chorus. The stronger sense of life will do a good job of energizing the listener at this stage in the album. The echo element of the drums do well to add fullness underneath everything and will further ensure that this song stands out as a solid live piece. The ballad vocal solo towards the end is a nice risk that infuses minimal instrumental support and airy backing harmonies to help bridge the way to the end. Definitely an oddly interesting song that you will find yourself surprised in liking as much as you do. 8.5/10
The Horror of Our Love: This is another acoustic ballad that i believe deals with cannibalism but i’ll have to listen closely to the lyrics as they go on lol. Andrew begins with a very somber melody that showcase the softness in his tone and the poetic nature of his lyrics when left alone. The bass helps to fill in the background and Acoustic riffs gradually infuse life into the song as Andrew grows more urgent in his emotions. The harmony elements in the song really draw a sense of divine horror into the lyrics. For being such a minimalist natured song it really captures the listener’s full attention and is one of the few songs that i’ve heard; that makes so much out of such little. I would actually be very interested in seeing how strong this one is pulled off live. Pay attention to the guitar solo towards the end because it infuses a strong sense of maturity from the guitar player that adds nicely to the song as well. Definitely another highlight piece. 9/10
Scream,Scream,Scream: Guitar melodies echo softly into the mix while the drums create a soothing tempo for the vocals to mesh with smoothly. It livens up gradually when the moog surfaces and delivers a well composed and energetic chorus for the listener to dance along to. The lyrics continue to be a solid element in the band’s songwriting which oddly seemed to be the biggest criticism from reviews that i’ve read. Technically the criticism was more due to the catchiness and hooks in them but personally while there could be more hooks of course; i feel it has worked very well at making them stick out. 8.5/10
In Space: This is technically the finale track i would assume but the following one is a hidden song thrown at the end of this one. It starts with a slightly airy nature and gradually turns into an energetically thematic rock piece. Andrew arrives with a highly energetic sense of cheer and the lyrics will provide simpler buts till effective themes of romantic space travel. I will give the instrumentals for taking the lead a bit more because a simpler support role would of put the lyrics at a higher level of risk in losing its catchiness. Overall it doesn’t quite mesh theme wise with the rest of the album (it does but in different scenarios) but it serves as an effective closer for this album and potentially could close a concert with relative success. 8.5/10
Overall album rating: 8.2/10
Not a bad score for an album that was surprisingly more enjoyable to sit through and review than i initially gave it credit for. The album is definitely a quirky one that will appeal to a certain demographic but it does so with a strong sense of uniqueness and skill to go along with it. I would give this album a try and check out their other work and see if it stays consistent for you. I’ve been dragging my feet on doing this album but it feels nice to do it for a 10th anniversary and interesting the band made a one off reunion in their hometown to celebrate their 15th anniversary and anniversary for this album. I suppose they have been on hiatus for six years but maybe this one off will encourage them to start writing again since its been 8 years since an album. From what i’ve seen they’ve had a nice sense of popularity on the theater scene since their ep Broken Bride was made into a play and there are plans to do the same with this album as well. We will have to wait and see what happens but check it out for yourselves and let me know. I gotta head out now but enjoy your day everyone!
