Yeah I have very fine curly hair, which means I need to wash my hair at least every 3 days. What works for me is Perfecte Krul (perfect curls) shampoo from Andrelon, and then very occasionally I use the conditioner from the same line. This only when my hair feels very rough. I’m not sure where you live, so I don’t know if it’s available where you are.
I have the same problem that my curls get weighed down, which is why I always wear my hair kind of short (just below my ears most of the time). I NEVER straighten it, because my hair is so fine that if I would, there would be almost nothing left except fuzzy strands that make a curtain or a mop around my head (I don’t have a lot of hair haha).
After washing it, I dry it for the most part by rubbing a towel on my head, but after that, I whip my head up so it doesn’t fall in my face and then don’t touch it until it is completely dry. If I have somewhere to go where I want my hair to look nice, I don’t touch it after the shower until I am 2 min away from that location. Then I whip my head down again, shake it loose, and part it on the side I want. If I touch it before, it will have deflated by the time I get there, especially if there is wind. Then, when it is in shape, I touch it as little as possible; every time I run my hear through my hair the curls deflate a little bit more.
If you have curly hair. You’re literally so brave

It's called a tangle teezer, it looks like this. You can probably find it online.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The brand is Andrelon, specifically their "oil & curl" line. I don't know if you can get it in other countries, though. There are probably other companies making similar things?
Tumblr media
People say curly hair takes more work than other hair types, and they're not wrong, but my shower routine is pretty simple, if a little time consuming. People ask about it sometimes so I thought I'd write it out in detail, just to have it.
First I get my hair wet as hell. Then I use a generous amount of curly hair shampoo and rub it in thoroughly. Then I get my big funny strawberry shaped sponge and put some of my strawberry scented shower gel on it. I rub my entire body with the rough side of the sponge to exfoliate, and in the meantime, rinse the shampoo out of my hair.
Then I use my special oily curly hair conditioner, using extra on the lower layers of my hair. Mine says it has buriti oil as the main special ingredient, whatever that is. While I still have the conditioner in my hair, I use a special curly hair comb to remove any tangles. I know I'm done when I can smoothly brush my fingers through my hair without encountering any tangles.
After that, rinse, then turn off the shower. After toweling off my body, I shake most of the water out of my hair, then gently press a towel against my head to get most of the moisture. Then I pull a cotton shirt over my head to let it dry as I rub on some strawberry scented skin lotion, brush my teeth, and start getting dressed.
I don't usually style my hair very much, but if the weather demands it, I'll use some leave-in conditioner and maybe a hydrator spray to counteract any tangles or dryness. I also have a satin sleeve for my pillows, so I don't damage my hair too much when I sleep.
All in all, my routine takes me 30 minutes or so.

Beauty - My Hair Ritual
Tue, 1 August - This blogpost is all about hair, to be more precise: curly hair. Back in the days, when I was around 12-10 years, I really didn’t have that much curls. However, as I got older my curls became more prominent and people would tell me that I had a wig on, lol.
People often tell me that my hair looks good and wonder how I maintain it. Honestly, it took me quite some time to realize what is the best for me. During this time I actually wasn’t happy with my hair at all. I would cut my hair in the weirdest ways that wouldnt fit my hair at all. Think about a long bob or even a fringe. I also dyed my hair regulary or straightened it to death. All in all, it took my years to understand that my hair had its own beauty in its own way and that I should just leave it alone. Though i must say, looking back i'm not remorseful of some of my dumb decisions. At least I tried stuff out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nowadays I have half long hair with some kind of ‘balayage’, which basically implies that my hair is a bit lighter towards its roots. Once a week I wash my hair with Silver Shampoo (Guhl) to keep the yellow tones away. Actually, now that i’m talking about shampoos and washing my hair, I would like to tell you a secret which will shock you. There we go: I wash my hair everyday. Yes, every single day.
I know you will probably think ‘Girl what the hell, stop!’ - but in all fairness, it just doesn’t work for me. Besides the fact that my hair and scalp become greasy as hell, my curls just don’t look good after a good night sleep. I tried everything, but my hair gets all tangled up and very frizzy. So what I do every morning is washing my hair during my shower session. I do this one time and very lightly. I don't massage the shampoo for ages, I just use a little tidy bit of shampoo and wash my hair for 2 minutes. After rinsing my hair with water, I apply conditioner on the ends of my hair. and leave it in for another 2 minutes. The products which I use here are 90% of the time from the Andrélon Perfecte Krul line, both shampoo and conditioner. No other brand works better for me!
After my little ritual, I tie my hair with a towel to get it less wet. With my Tangle Teezer i brush my hair. Because my hair gets tangled up quite easily, the Tangle Teezer works perfectly. It doesnt hurt or pulls hair out of my head, which is a good thing for curls and overall thick hair. A few months back I would brush my hair during my shower session, however I discovered that my hair is more voluminous when brushing once again with towel-dry hair. Afterwards, I apply 2 pumps of the Andrélon Perfecte Krul Leave -in Creme and try to sqeeuze my hair for a bit more volume. If I want soft curls, this will do. If I want my curls to be more outspoken and extra voluminous, I apply two pumps of Toni and Guy's Curl Defining Oil. This will really give you that big hair you wish for! I used to dry my hair with a curl diffuser, but I actually like it better when it just air dries.
Hope this was helpful. My little ritual gives me the following result:

Budgetmerken gemiddeld 50% goedkoper dan A-merken
Tumblr media
