uhhh well first of all I think childe x zhongli is like the most pathetic and boring "default" pairing this fandom came up with. they have 0 chemistry and I just hate everything about it. as much as I headcanon both as queers... together romantically it feels like 2 straight men put together by ya*i fans............ also before i blacklisted to ship and voluntarily looked through the ship tag... every post felt like a hard ooc. i could not understand what childe or zhongli are supposed to be as individuals, what they have in common, what kind of dynamic they have. deadass most crack ships with 0 interactions have more flavor than this tragedy

eng VAs are great people and appreciate their work but whoever decides the voices ain't doing it right. every male character sounds like a middle-aged white man.. and most of the youngest characters sound like very obvious adults trying to pretend to be babies. all of it irks me so bad god.. and there are so many characters that lose their little spark in eng........ (yet in korean and chinese they're completely fine??)

all of the playable adult male characters are shitty people in one way or another. none of them are good. they have reasons and different perspectives, yes, but they suck. every single one of them. stop ignoring it or trying to say only some are evil. none of them are inherently terrible.. but they're not these precious and righteous individuals. they're men.................... that says a lot, actually. :\

While I can understand chicken keepers point of view, I can't accept the hostility. The snake is doing what it does naturally. Its not intending to cause you, specifically, any harm. Snakes go after wild bird eggs all the time and no one gives a damn. Suddenly one takes a chicken egg and even the most hard-core atheist gets on the "snakes are satan" bus.

I'm also 99% sure y'all shouldn't even be using fake eggs with chickens. Maybe there are a few breeds you'd use um for but all the ones I know will actually be psychology and physically harmed by letting them stay broody and set on fake eggs.

A broody hen will barely eat or drink and quickly looses body weight and she WILL NOT get off until her eggs hatch or rot. If they dont "go bad" then she'll sit for weeks and weeks and continue to not eat or drink. In this time her mental state also declines as she keeps expecting her clutch to hatch but it never happens.

"Its just a dumb chicken." No. Well, yes, but also no. Chickens are very intelligent creatures, they just don't express it like we'd interpret intelligence. And if its "just a dumb chicken" why would you let a wild animal die a slow and painful death for that "dumb animal"?

So ya. Fake eggs aren't really good to use for a broody hen at all. If there is a breed that isn't affected by this then whatever. At least glue them together like suggested above.

In before "it helps young hens know where to lay. Monkey see monkey do y'know?" Eh... not really? Everything I've read, seen, and experienced myself says the thats not really a big factor. Setting up adequate nesting places for your hens with the right amount of nesting material in a place shell feel comfortable enough to lay is more important. If you're worried she can't find it on her own, I'd say your run is too big and maybe you should restrict your young girls to a smaller area until they get a feel for what is considered safe.

Snakes arent really brought into an area because of chicken eggs. They honestly have no idea there is an easy meal inside that building with the birds. The snake is following the MICE that are snacking on feed that doesn't get cleaned up or isn't stored correctly. Its only after they've ventured into the coop looking for mice that they'll notice the eggs and think "fuck that hunting shit. We got an easy smorgasbord right here!"

Keep your feed cleaned up and watch for signs of mice. That will lower the chances of having a snake in your coop by leaps and bounds.

This is a gentle reminder to those who keep poultry to PLEASE keep in mind wild snakes if you are using fake eggs in your chicken coop. Snakes are incapable of digesting the wooden/plastic/ceramic fake eggs that are commonly placed in chicken coops to train hens. Snakes (like this little ratsnake here) can and often do eat these fake eggs and suffer life-threatening obstruction as a result!

If you need to use fake eggs in your coop please strive to ensure that the enclosure is snake-proof (difficult) or superglue 3 or more eggs together so that snakes cannot consume them and become obstructed.

1. What was your very first pet?I’m not totally sure…but I remember when i was really little, we had toads and frogs and i had a bunny named thumper! the toads + frogs (2 american toads, a firebelly toad, and apparently some whites tree frogs) lived in a big aquarium turned terrarium. i remember we (i?) named the toads buddy and jr…but i dont remember having the tree frogs at all o.o my bunny, thumper, was named after that little grey bunny from bambi and he was a good boy! he was free roamed and had a cage, but mostly just for sleeping in~ he was white with black splotches and i loved him :3

What introduced you into pet keeping?my parents! but mostly my mom :) she grew up having looots of pets! and she loves rats :) end of elementary school / beginning of middle school we had a pair of boys and a pair of girls. the boys were my moms and my sister and i took care of the pair of girls! my mom converted a cabinet into a cage for them :D in high school i got a pair of girls, and now my mom has 5 ratties! XD she adopted a trio and then a pair~ each group has their own critter nation :p in the future, i’d love to get a pair of big beautiful boys tho! they’re so chill and i’ve mostly had females so i’d love to have some males :3

If you had children, at what age would you allow them to have and be responsible for their own pet?I’m of the opinion that no matter how old or young your kid is, you’re responsible for their pet.(I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a parent + kid(s) walk into a pet store, and the parent does 99% of the talking and the kid is just…there. the parent will say that it’s the kid’s responsibility, but the kid doesn’t get to choose the tank, the supplies…maybe they get to pick out a piece or two of decor, but that’s it…and then if the pet dies or becomes ill it’s “the child’s fault”, and i’ve heard kids say before that they’ve killed their fish (most commonly a betta in a bowl) because they “fed it wrong” and it breaks my heart because they’re hardly, if at all, to blame.) They probably don’t have a job, and you’re the one paying for most if not all of the supplies, including vet care. You’re the one who is ultimately responsible for teaching your child about that pet’s care AND ensuring that the animal receives the care it needs. When it comes to parenting a tiny pet keeper…i’d say it’s definitely a team effort! So…it doesn’t matter what age my child is. I’d get them a pet if they were 2, 8, or 17! :p 

The types of animals they’d have and how involved they could be would definitely be influenced by their age, though. I wouldn’t get a 2yo an iguana, but maybe a fish that they could watch, ya know? I’d maybe get my 8yo a pair of rats since they’d be able to handle them often. and i’d let my 17yo get a reptile if they wanted since they’d probably be able to help out with costs (they’d be old enough to mow lawns or babysit by then, if not have a part time job) and be able to do lots of research by themselves first!

At the end of the day it depends on what I am willing and able to do though. If my child wanted a pet I’d be more than happy to oblige but I’d definitely be preparing them as much as possible (parent + kid bonding experience!!!) And then helping my kid out as much as possible with upkeep, feeding, etc. I’d also make sure that they were as involved as possible in the process :) researching a pet, asking questions, picking out supplies, bringing home the new pet, cleaning up the enclosure, everything! i think that having a pet is a great way to teach responsibility to a kiddo, and would also be a great learning experience for you and your kid as well, but only if you, as a parent, take the time to make it so. again, you can’t just buy whatever supplies the pet store employee tells you that you need, hand everything over to the kid, and just be done with it.

tl;dr I’d let them have a pet at any age! I wouldn’t do everything *for* my child, as it’s still “their pet” but I *would* ensure that the animal is being cared for properly and ensuring that my child understands what needs to be done (or what isn’t okay to do) for the animal :)
