A little snippet of "Wedding Woes" as requested by @rythmicjea <3
"What about porn?" Joey suggests, and she turns to look at him with raised eyebrows. "Watching porn always makes me feel better."
Rachel doesn't even have in it to make a comment about that. She shakes her head, turning glumly back to the TV, still paused halfway through "My Best Friend's Wedding". The irony is not lost on her.
"No, even porn would depress me right now," she says.
"Okay, I'm just gonna say it." Joey sits up properly, propping himself up against the headboard. "You're being ridiculous. Look, Rach, I get it. I mean, I've never had to watch the person I'm in love with get married to someone else but I can imagine it sucks."
Rachel stares blankly at him. "Gee, thanks, Joe. I feel so much better."
"There's no point in you just sitting here feeling sorry for yourself. Ross is getting married tomorrow. Nothing is going to change that. He loves Emily."
"Oh, it gets better!"
He rolls his eyes, exasperated. "My point is that you're wrong. You said that this was your last chance to have love, the perfect life you wanted, with a husand and a wedding and whatever. But it's not. You'll find someone else, and you'll get another shot at that life, or something completely different!"
She purses her lips, looking down at the nearly empty pizza box. There's only one slice left. She's only eaten one and a half.
"What if I don't?"
"What?" Joey asks incredulously. He shifts himself to face her, shaking his head as he tries to catch her eyes. "Rach, that's crazy. I mean, first of all, have you seen you?"
A small chuckle escapes against her will. Joey grins. He reaches out and softly rests his hand on top of one of hers, and she stares at it curiously. His thumb rubs gentle circles into the back of her hand.
"Seriously, Rach," he says, and she lifts her eyes to his. "You're upset right now but you won't be forever. Remember that. In weeks or months or years, you'll find the right guy. But right now... you gotta let Ross go, and you gotta just have fun. You don't wanna look back and regret moping around about one guy for the rest of your life, do you?"
She breathes in slowly. "You really think I'll find someone?"
"Yeah! Why wouldn't you? You're beautiful, and sexy, and honestly, I can't think of a single reason why someone wouldn't want to be with you. Ross is the idiot for letting you go in the first place, and..."
She stares at him as he trails off. Her eyebrows hitch up ever so slightly again, but her question is silent. His wide-eyed gaze answers when nothing comes out of his parted lips.
She leans in. He meets her halfway.

Characters: Chandler x reader (romanticly), friends x reader (platonicly)
Word count: 1.2k
contains: making out, mention of sex, naked. one shot
a/n: this is my first time writing something like this, so its not that great and english is not my first language. I made the idea myself and I wrote this at 2 am and posted this 3 am so enjoy!
***
Me and Chandler have been going out for a while, but the other five didn't know about it. We wanted to surprise them by kissing in front of them, we would love to see their reaction.
It was a Saturday evening at Monica's apartment. Everyone was hanging around on the couch.'It's a Saturday, does anyone have a date tonight?' Joey asked.
'Not me.' Monica added. 'Same for me.' Rachel spoke.
'Yea no luck.' Phoebe exclaimed. 'Nope.' Said Ross.
'How 'bout you two?' Joey pointed at us.
'Me? Yea, I do.' Chandler said, 'She's amazing!'
'Wow, somebody got a date. What about you Y/N?' Rachel asked.
'Yeah, I have a date tonight.' I said, nodding my head. 'Lucky! I hate not going out.' Said Monica.
'Well, who's the date? What's their name?' Joey continued.
'Yea!' Everyone agreed. 'I'm not telling you guys. Yall are just gonna tease me with his name.' I rolled my eyes.
'Same, I'm not telling. But she's better than Janice I tell ya.' Chandler said.
We spent the whole evening talking in the living room, it is now 8 p.m. 'It's getting late, don't you two have a date to go to?' Phoebe asked.
'Oh right! Let me go get ready. Rachel can I borrow your-?' 'Yes! Let me help you get ready!'
Rachel brought me to her room and closed the door behind us. 'Well what about you?' Ross asked Chandler.
'Mine's at 9, we're going to watch a movie.' He stood up walking to the kitchen, 'What are you guys gonna do?'
'I guess we'll just play foosball the whole night.' Joey said looking at Ross, 'I'm soo gonna beat your butt.' he grin
'Hahah, the only butt getting beat is you.' Ross pointing his finger at Joey.
'Well have fun and good luck Ross, you'll need it. What about you Pheebs?'
'I was thinking about betting you for Joey but I know I'm going to win… 20 bucks?' She said happily.
'That's not fair! You have Joey! But sorry Pheebs, I'm not in my betting mood.'
'Its fine, Monica?' She turned her head to the black haired girl.
'Yep no thanks!' she said loudly.
I finally got ready and stepped outside of Rachel's room, who was walking behind me. 'You look gorgeous!'
'Wow! Where are you going all fancy?' Monica asked. 'Just the movies, I told you, Rachel! Nothing fancy!' The room went quite.
'Huh, what's wrong?' I asked, me and Rachel looked around the room. Noticing everyone was looking at Chandler. At that point, I knew I messed up.
'What is with you guys? Chandler?' Rachel was confused.
Chandler was standing still beside the refrigerator, his face was nervous. 'What? Mines at 9!' Chandler was now looking at me, making everyone do the same.
'Mines it's 8.45, and it's 8.30 I'm going to be late!' I walked out of the apartment, closing the door behind me.
'That was weird. What happened?' Rachel asked. 'Oh, we thought Chandler was going out with Y/N.' Phoebe told Rachel what happened.
'Pfft! Like Y/N would go out with a guy like Chandler!' Rachel laughed. Chandler was offended, 'Hey! What are you saying? Like she's out of my league?'
'Heck yea, she's out of your league!' Monica said. 'So you think I can't get a Y/N? I can get a Y/N okay?' Chandler said, walking towards them holding a piece of cookie.
'Come on! You and her? Can't see it!' Monica added. The others seemed to be agreeing.
***
'And they said you are out of my league! And said that we aren't a match !' Chandler said as we were walking at the park going back home. 'Don't make a fuss about it.' I said, 'Tomorrow we will surprise them, I have a plan in mind, but it includes us making out.'
'Okay, I think I like that.' Chandler said, smiling.
We are now at my apartment. 'So are we actually going to make out?'
'Of course! Why would I lie about that?'
I quickly pulled him in for a kiss, he then kissed me back and put his hands around my hips.
'My dream has finally come true' he said.
The kiss led us to my room, he pushed me on the bed and continued to kiss while he was on top of me. I was cupping his cheeks and giving out a moan.
The next morning, I woke up seeing Chandler was already awake sitting beside me fully naked. He covered his lower body with a blanket. 'Good morning, sweetheart. How was last night?' He said smilingly looking at me.
I sat up straight 'Good morning, honey. Last night was interesting..' My face was all red, we had sex last night. 'What, good, interesting?' He asked.
'Amazingly interesting..' I stared blankly at myself and notice I was naked and there was nothing that was covering my upper body.
'I can see that you're enjoying the view.' He laughed as I said that.
Chandler wore his clothes and went back to his apartment. I quickly changed and walked to Monica's apartment bringing Rachel's Jacket that I borrowed.
I opened the door to the apartment seeing that everyone was making fun of Chandler. 'Look, Y/N! Someone came home with the same clothes he was wearing last night,' Monica said as she walked towards me.
I smiled at Chandler, 'Whoo hoo! How was she?'
'Incredible! It was probably the greatest night!' He said, forgetting the woman he was talking about was in the room. His face got red quickly.
'Alright then, Rachel! Your jacket.' I said
'Oh thanks Y/N, just tossed it inside my room'
I did as I was told and walked towards the kitchen where everyone was hanging. 'You're not the only one who was having fun last night, Chandler.'
'Whoo hoo!' Everyone whistle.
'Well, how was he?' Chandler asked.
'He was amazing! It's like the dream you had Monica! He really did me.' I said. 'Really? Lucky!' Monica said.
As everyone was eating breakfast, it was the perfect time to show everyone that me and Chandler were dating, I have the perfect excuse as well. I gave Chandler a head signal and he nodded.
'Well I gotta get going, this grocery list is not gonna finish by itself.' I said, 'Wanna join babe? I asked him as I was walking towards him.
The room was now silent, everyone stared at the both of us. 'I told you I can get a Y/N' He said putting his arm around my shoulder, he turned his head to me, kissing me softly on the lips. 'And yes, I would love to help with your groceries darling.'
'Alright then, finish your breakfast. I'll be waiting downstairs' I said, walking out of the apartment.
Everyone is now staring at Chandler, 'You and her? You and her?!' One of the five said. 'I can't believe it, I just can't!' Rachel added.
'What's the big deal?' Chandler scoffs.
'Can't you see? You're the most awkward guy with bad social skills gets the girl while me and Joey didn't!' Ross said.
'Yeah! I can get any girl but she dumped me, remember?' Joey added.
'Oh, I see it now.' Chandler spoke, 'Alright let me eat my cereal. I need to get going.'
'Wait, so that means you had sex with her last night?' Phoebe finally spoke, 'Wow! Did she top you?' 'Nope,' Chandler replied.
He ate his breakfast and walked towards the front door 'See ya guys!' Closing the door behind him. He walked downstairs to Central Perk seeing me drinking coffee waiting for him 'Hello darling,'
'Hi sweetheart.'

Note
hihihi today's reminder is ok let's talk friends because this is my first time in a few years watching it all the way through and I'm halfway through season four and i have Thoughts
Monica reminds me a bit of me where she just is so clear about what she wants in a relationship, like I've always been called crazy for dating to marry instead of "enjoying my 20s" but like i am enjoying it with someone I'll enjoy the rest of my life with too, and i soooo see that in Monica and it makes me feel better. which is funny because i never resonated with her like that before, but at the point I'm at right now in life, i see so much of myself in how much she holds these very few people dear, how she values her community and her stability and is always the one making sure the community has a place and a reason to gather
i love love love good character growth so Rachel, chandler and Joey are obviously my babies. Rachel is annoying about ross but we'll forgive that for how hard she worked to go from spoiled daughter to waitress to fashion icon we love her here she deserves the best. Phoebe also obviously my own child, i bore her and raised her and watch all her performances while beaming with pride Ross David schwimmer saves him a lot let's just say that. when I'm not really watching as much as listening to the show while i play candy crush, he's unbearable, but he's funny when you watch him. almost charming sometimes
ok relationships: Monica and Chandler remain untouched. i love the idea of Joey and Phoebe, and there's a fair bit of hinting towards it and it's a shame they never explored it but i just love Mike so much. Joey and Rachel though, yes, a million times yes. they could've been mondler part 2, they could've had it all. they truly wasted that pairing by using it just to make Ross jealous. and Ross... well. does he deserve love, really? no he doesn't why the fuck did they spend so long building Rachel up as someone so smart and confident and self made and comfortable in her own skin just to waste her on a man that will control her every breathing second and somehow make himself the victim for her daring to have her own life and her own feelings
yeah i don't like Ross lmao. i also like the idea of Rachel ending up with Mark (… the one who got her her job not the nct rapper) just as a fuck you to Ross and because he seemed super sweet and actually genuinely rooted for her based on nothing but kindness
Hii, Firstly I commend you so much for sticking to your own standards and values, I respect that so much you know what you want and you didn't settle for less and you're getting exactly what you wanted. I love that so much. And Monica was very driven and sure of herself and I have a soft spot for her of course from her childhood as a fat kid like so many of her flashbacks really struck home for me. And I won't get into the way 90s\00s shows showcased fat people but I will say The Gilmore girls is the only show albeit not perfect who did a pretty good job in how they presented sookie who i love. But also her being the left behind child who was always in Ross's shadow and didn't get the love and care she deserved from her parents. Like I love Monica and I'm glad she got her happy ending. Rachel dropping her past life, running off from her wedding and starting all over from scratch alone foreshadowed her growth, obviously not the best judge of character with men especially when it comes to Ross but we can look past that. But I loved her with Joey so much. Joey is just a joy, a delight, he was like 25 when I was just a one year old but he is my baby and i love him. I totally forgot about Mike oh I loved him with Phoebe. Oh I would have loved to see what was going on with Dan and Serena and Blair which If you've seen gossip girl it was confusing as hell right. But like that with Joey and Phoebe and Rachel. Like Joey explores things with Phoebe but ultimately ends up with Rachel and Phoebe with Mike. But like all three are like still super chill with each other. And Ross, I have never and will never like that man. David Swimmer is a delight but Ross is the worst. Ted Mosby from how I met your mother was birthed from Ross Geller. I will not get into Ted but iykyk. But yeah Fuck Ross.

The One With The Stoned Guy Part One (Joey meets Bryan)
In this episode Chandler quits his job to find what his true passion in life is, as Monica once in a lifetime career opportunity. Oh, yeah! Joey meets and finds out about Bryan.
Last Part (Part Four), Series Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had just gotten to Central Perk after finishing school for the day and you couldn’t help but feel like you were on top of the world as you sat next to Monica waiting for Rachel to bring everybody their orders. You had taken your first every client which went as smoothly as it could considering that you were still a student, and you were waiting for Bryan to come and pick you up after he got done at the firestation. You were quickly drawn out of your thoughts when you saw Rachel come over with her tray of drinks that all of you ordered. “Coffee,” Rachel announced as she handed the mug to Joey who took it with a thank you. “Cappuccino,” which Ross took with a ‘gracie.’ “An americano,” Rachel said to you as you took the mug with a thank you of your own. “And a nice hot cider for Monica.” Monica thanked the woman as she took the mug from Rachel, but then she noticed something peculiar about her drink.
“Rach,” Monica hollered. “Why does my cinnamon stick have an eraser?” Monica’s weird complaint had you looking up from your own drink with furrowed eyebrows.
“Oh,” Rachel’s hand went behind her ear. “Oh, that’s why.” She smiled in realization when she felt the cinnamon stick on her ear. “I’m sorry,” Rachel apologized as she took the hot soaked pencil out of Monica’s mug and put the ear resting cinnamon stick into Monica’s mug instead. Causing yours and Monica’s faces to scrunch up in similar disgust.
********
“Hey, you guys!” Phoebe announced as she ran over to the couch. “Chandler’s coming. He says he has incredible news. So when he gets here, let’s all act like…” But she could never finish giving her plan to all of you when the man you were talking about entered the building with a , ‘hey.’ “Nevermind, but it was going to be really good.” Phoebe reassured all of you as she sat next to Monica causing you to scoot over closer to Ross to make room.
“What’s going on?” Ross asks Chandler.
“What’s up?” You also ask turning to face your big brother.
“So, it’s a typical day at work, inputting my numbers. When Big Al calls me into his office and says he wants to make me processing supervisor.” Chandler announces, causing everyone to congratulate him, you were even getting up to give him a quick hug when the announcement took a turn. “So… I quit.” Chandler said, so instead of hugging him with your extended arms you hit him in the arm instead.
“Why?” You all questioned.
“Why? This was supposed to be a temp job.” Chandler tried to defend himself.
“Chandler, you’ve been there for five years.” Monica said, calling Chandler out on how not temporary his job has been.
“But if I took this promotion it’d be like admitting that this is what I actually do.” Chandler explained. You had been there; feeling like you're in a dead end job with no end in sight which just really brought you down.
“Is it a lot more money?” You had to ask though.
“It doesn’t matter. I just don’t want to be one of those guys that’s in his office until 12:00 at night worrying about the WEENUS.” Chandler spoke to as if it should have been obvious what he was talking about.
“The weenus?” Rachel asked both confused and concerned.
“”Weekly Estimated Net Usage Systems.” It’s a processing term.” Chandler explained himself as he moved to sit in the arm chair.
“Oh...that weenus.” Rachel joked since it still meant nothing to the rest of you.
“So, what’re you going to do?” Joey asked.
“I don’t know, that’s it. I don’t know what I want to do I just know I won’t figure it out working there.” Chandler said quietly. You couldn’t help but sit on the arm of the chair and wrap him in a quick hug. It was hard being in that position. When you aren’t happy enough to stop doing it, but you still don’t know what you want to do.
“Oh! I have something you can do.” Phoebe jumped forward in her seat with an idea. “I have this new massage client, Steve?” Phoebe questioned as if all of you should know him. “Anyway, he’s opening a new restaurant and he’s looking for a head chef.” Phoebe announced, she gestured to Chandler to give him the idea but you all just sat with blank stares waiting for her to catch up when Monica tapped Phoebe on the shoulder.
“Um...hi, there.” Monica smiled when Phoebe turned around to look at her to she what she wanted.
“Hi.” Phoebe smiled at her. “Oh yeah, no, I know you’re a chef and I thought of you first. But Chandler’s the one who needs a job right now, so.” Phoebe got frustrated when Monica tried to ask for it when clearly she had a friend that was in need. She turned around to give her friend in need a big smile to see what he thought.
“Yeah, I just don’t have a lot of chefing experience. Unless it’s an all-toast restaurant.” Chandler explained to Phoebe as she felt Monica tapping her again.
“Yeah,” she asked as she gave Monica her full attention.
“What kind of food is he looking for?” Monica asked Phoebe.
“He wants to do something eclectic, so he’s looking for someone who can create the entire menu.” Phoebe explained.
“Oh, my God!” Monica cheered as she grabbed onto Phoebe’s arm, when Monica heard everything that she needed and wanted to hear.
“Yeah, I know!” Phoebe cheered with her. “So what do you think?” Phoebe asked turning around to face Chandler.
“Thanks, Pheebes. I just don’t really see myself in a big white hat.” Chandler politely turned her down.
“Okay,” Phoebe shrugged his loss off her shoulders when a thought came to her. “”Oh, Monica, guess what!” She cheered as Monica groaned and hid her face in Ross’s shoulder as she rolled her eyes. You sat there on the arm chair’s arm laughing at what went on when you heard the entrance door open, and the person that you were expecting to meet walked in through the door.
“Hey, Y/N,” Bryan brightly smiled as he walked over. You stood up from your seat.
“Hey, Bryan,” you smiled as you stood on your tip toes and the both of you leaned in to quickly peck each others lips. The both of you had gone out a couple times with in the last few weeks, so yes you had gotten to the age of kissing and usually make out sessions.
“You ready to go?” He asked, to which you nodded. Bryan put his hand on your lower back to guide you to go first but someone in your friend group not so subtly cleared their throats causing the both of you to look over at your brother.
“Aren’t you going to introduce everyone?” Chandler asked with his fake smile to which you knew was his overprotective brother side.
“Right,” you smiled in embarrassment and annoyance. “Bryan this is my big brother, Chandler, Phoebe who you’ve met, Monica, Rachel, Ross, and Joey.” When you finally landed on Joey’s face you couldn’t tell if he was angry, jealous, or sad. It was hard to tell. “Everyone this is Bryan.” You gestured to the gigantic man as you made uncomfortable eye contact with Joey; you really dreaded the both of them meeting, but you were single. You were allowed to see who you wanted.
“Hi, Bryan!” Everyone but Joey greeted. Bryan leaned over to shake your big brothers hand.
“So what do you do?” Chandler asked the man.
“I’m a fire fighter, actually,” Bryan smiled a little as he uncomfortably slid his hands in the pockets of his jeans. Chandler and everyone nodded in approval to you, to which you rolled your eyes.
“H-how did the two of you meet?” Joey asked, looking like he was about to jump out of his seat.
“We met here, actually,” you decided to answer before looking at him. His face was just blank.
“Oh, cool,” Joey could barely get out.
“So, Y/N,” Bryan placed his hand on your back again.
“Hmm?” You asked, looking away from Joey and up at him. Quickly putting a smile on your face.
“You ready to go?” Bryan asked again as he took a careful look at your face.
“Yeah, of course. Let’s go.” You answered, grabbing your coat and the both of you made your way to the door. “Bye guys.” You took another quick glance at Joey before you grabbed onto Bryan’s arm and the both of you walked out the door to where you were going to have dinner. Little did you know, you had sad puppy dog eyes watching you from behind as you left.

The One With The Fight - Chandler Bing x Male!Reader - FRIENDS
Tumblr media
Fandom: FRIENDS (1994-2004)
Pairing: Chandler Bing x Male!Reader
Warnings: Spoilers For Season 2 Episode 21,
Notes:  Okay, Listen, At Least I’m Giving You Guys SOMETHING, Here!
You walked down the sidewalk and over to Central Perk, the only thing in mind being your need for coffee. You reached the coffee house and were about to go inside, when you noticed something- or, some people, more like.
Two guys with Ross, and your boyfriend, Chandler in the middle of the street.
You furrowed your eyebrows, sticking to the red brick wall of the building beside Central Perk, watching as crowds started to form, pointing and mumbling at the four men. “The hell is he doing-?" You mumbled, only then realizing their fighting stances. Jeez, someone took Street Fighter a little too seriously.
"Alright, come on, man! Let's do this, already!" One of the men, wearing a blue denim coat, exclaimed.
"Before I forget, are we hitting faces?" Ross asked, raising a finger, Chandler and him exiting their previous fighting stances. If he knew you were there, he would've seen you roll your eyes at the fact that he was asking this right before a fight.
The other man, wearing a leather coat, spoke up. “Of course we're hitting faces! Why wouldn't you hitting faces?" He asked.
"Well, because I have to work on Monday. I have a big presentation." There goes Ross, and the weird way he says 'presentation'.
You cringed just by hearing him say it.
The denim coat guy spoke up, turning to his friend. “You know, I got to show this apartment, tomorrow. And, y'know, this whole no-faces thing might not be a bad idea.”
"...Okay," the second guy spoke up again, "nothing from the neck up.”
"Alright" Ross nodded, the four of them resuming their fighting stances.
"Or the waist down-" he spoke up again. When the denim guy looked at him, he said "Dana's ovulating" having the denim guy smile and ask "oh, really? You guys trying again?", Leather coat guy giving a shy "yea.”
"God, no neck up or waist down? What kind of weak fight IS this?" You muttered, crossing your arms. “Strictly the middle part?"
Chandler made Ross turn to face him. So let me just get this straight- so we're, uh, strictly talking about the middle?"
You smiled a Chandler saying the same thing you did, but it got cut off when the guy in the leather coat shoved Ross with a come on!", Ross yelling a "hey!" back.
The four of them regained their fighting stances again, Ross yelling "you want some of this, huh?" as Chandler jumped a little. “You want a piece of this, huh? I'm standing here!"
As Ross was yelling, Chandler finally caught sight of you. “(Y/n)?" He wheezed, eyes going wide.
You pursed your lips, giving him a slight wave. “Chandler" you returned, chuckling. “Got yourself in quite the situation, baby" you grinned, glancing at the two strangers.
"W- I'm- they're bullies!" Chandler pouted.
"'Bullies'? Chandler, you're full grown men. We call them 'dickbags' now" you snorted, tilting your head.
Chandler glanced at Ross and back to you, shrugging. “Aren't you gonna come help us, (Y/n/n)?" He asked, groaning when you replied with "three against one isn't all that fair, Channy.” He then noticed two guys sneaking their hands onto a hat behind the two guys Ross and him were about to fight.
Wait, is that Chandler's hat?
"Hey, hey!" Chandler regained the three guys' attention, pointing at the two thieves by you. “Those guys are taking our stuff!" He yelled, a hand on Ross' shoulder.
"Where?" Ross called, nodding at you, then seeing the two men rush by you.
"Get out of the way, look out!" The man in the denim coat yelled, leading his friend, Ross, and Chandler in a chase after the two thieves.
You grabbed Chandler's hand right as he passed, following them in a run.
"(Y/n), what-?"
"What? And just let them take your hat? No way, honey" you scoffed, tugging him to speed up. You followed the men down the street, letting go of Chandler's hand so that you could push your hair out of your face.
Chandler was more focused on running, so he didn't see the jump rope he was about to trip over.
"Chandler, watch out!" You called, but it was too late. You watched as Chandler tripped over a little girls jump rope, stopping by him immediately. “Chandler, oh my god-" you panted, kneeling down.
"Go, go get 'em" Chandler coughed, weakly turning to look at you as he lay on the pavement."Go on, baby. Go kick their asses and get my kets.”
You exhaled, nodding and speeding after the men, past the two guys with Ross and grabbing the back collar of one of the thieve's shirt.
The sudden half stopped the second thief, giving that enough time for Ross to knock him in the face.
You grunted, bringing a clean swing to the guy you had a hold on. You grabbed the hat when he dropped it, kicking him in his legs and punching him across the face again. You turned to the one Ross got, kicking him in the stomach.
"Nice shots, (Y/n)" Ross panted, turning to you.
You panted, watching as the two guys finished the thieves off. “Thanks. Lets go get Chandler.”
***
You walked at Chandler's side as he lead the five of you into Central Perk, gently touching his lip to see if he was bleeding
"God! That was- that was amazing, that was incredible! You guys- you guys kicked butt" Ross praised, sitting on the couch.
"Us? What about you guys?" The guy in the denim coat asked, lightly punching your shoulder. “Your mysterious friend here really had that first guy's ass. Man, you really gave it to ol' mister clean back there, he was a big guy.”
You nodded smiling softly s you helped Chandler sit down.
"Yea, he was, wasn't he?" Ross asked, turning to Chandler.
Chandler smiled mockingly. “Yea, I wouldn't know, having missed everything, like my boyfriend kicking ass for me" he hissed, holding your hand. Chandler glanced up at you, "thanks again, for stepping in, by the way.”
You smiled down at him, "I'd fight anyone in the world for you. And don't be so hard on yourself, any one of you guys could've tripped over that little girl's jump rope.”
The guy in the leather coat turned to you, then the guy in the denim coat did the same."Wait, so you wouldn't-" "hold on, your boyfriend?"
You raised your eyebrows, holding one of Chandler's hands in both of yours. “I'm very coordinated, or so I've been told. And yes, boyfriend. Is there a problem with that?" You asked, gaze turning cold. You tilted your head as the two men shook their heads, looking scared of what you'd do to them. You smiled, "good.”
"So, listen, are we...?" Ross turned to the two men in coats. “Guys, are we, uh, are we okay here?"
"Oh, they better be okay, there. I just whooped a guys ass for all your keys and jewelry in Chandler's hat" you scoffed, bring his hand to your lips for a quick kiss, catching Chandler's smile on his face when you did.
The man in the leather nodded, as did the man in the denim. “We're okay" the latter told, Ross mumbling "alright.”
Chandler forced a chuckle, "okay, so can I have my hat back?"
After a couple beats of silence, the man in the denim said "no", shaking his head.
"Huh," Chandler nodded, turning away. In a flash, he was out of his seat, grabbed his hat off the man's head and ran behind the couch, but fell.
You jumped up and went around to check on him. “Idiot" you sighed lovingly, getting on top of him and hoisting him up by his shoulders. “Hey, Ross, help me bring Chandler back up?"
***
"Look at her" Phoebe said, all seven of you turning your attention to Monica in a costume behind the counter of the diner she worked at.
"Hi, Monica!" Chandler chirped, having you giggle and lightly shove him. He had a window seat and you sat beside him with his arm around you, Joey beside you and Rachel, Ross and Phoebe across from you.
Monica looked up, with her fake, pink glasses and puffy, blonde wig. Her jaw dropped when she saw all of you, and you saw her groan in embarrassment.
"Hey, nice boobs!" Phoebe called, as the rest of you waved at her.
"Guys, guys, check this out" Chandler whispered, turning to the napkin holders. He input a coin at the top, and pressed one of the buttons on the bottom, swinging his head back over to the counter when the familiar beginning of YMCA start playing.
"Oh my god-" you cackled, turning to look for Monica through the legs of the other workers, who were all up on the counter, already starting to dance. Chandler, you, and the others all smiled and started nodding to the beat, Chandler's grip around you pulling you closer to himself. You laughed with the other when Monica got up at the end of the counter and danced in a mediocre fashion, which was worth it because of the ringing of a beautiful sound in your ears- Chandler's laughter. You knew of no sound better than Chandler's laughing, so you turned around to catch a glimpse of his smile.
He nodded at you. “What?"
"Nothing, just..." you slowly licked your lips. “Just wanted to see you smile.”
"Aww, aren't you cute" Chandler cooed, leaning in and softly kissing you. “I love you, (Y/n). And, seriously, thanks for coming with Ross 'n' me earlier.”
"No prob, baby. I love you too, Chandler.”
Chandler gazed at you for a while longer, breaking the heartfelt moment when he dumped a handful of coins on the table. He winked at you as the group all dove in to take as many coins as they could, sure to use them to make Monica dance more using the machine. You joined in too, desperate for more of Chandler's happiness.

The One With The Sonogram At The End: Part One
pairings: eventual Joey x reader
authors note: i own nothing from friends, all credit goes to their respective owners. feeback is always appreciated
Feedback is the glue that holds my writing together!
“what you guys don’t understand is for us, kissing is as important as any part of it,” monica said,
the group of seven were discussing kissing and what it means to women versus what it means to men.
“yeah, right,” joey chuckled, but when he saw that all the girls faces were serious his mood changed, “you serious?”
“oh, yeah.” pheobe said to him,
“everything you need to know is in that first kiss,” rachel explained,
“absolutely,” you agreed.
“yeah, i think for us, kissing is pretty much like an opening act, you know? i mean it’s like the stand up comedian you have to sit through before pink floyd comes out,” chandler said,
“yeah, and it’s not that we don’t like the comedian, it’s just that that’s.. that’s not why we bought the ticket,” ross explained.
“see, the problem is though, after the concerts over no matter how great the show was, you girls are always looking for the comedian again, i mean we’re in the car fighting traffic. basically just trying to stay awake.” chandler told them,
“yeah, well, word of advice, bring back the comedian. otherwise, next time, you’re gonna find yourself sitting at home, listening to that album alone,” you said to them and pheobe high-fived you.
“are we still talking about sex?” joey asked ross with confusion, and he nodded.
“huh? looks like she didn’t leave in such a hurry after all!” the blonde girl on the tv exclaimed, holding up some underwear.
“i think this is the episode of three’s company where there’s some kind of misunderstanding,” chandler told them.
“oh, then i’ve already seen this one,” pheobe said, changing the channels.
joey was drinking some water before monica took it off him, “are you through with that?”
“yeah, sorry. the swallowing slowed me down,” joey sneered.
“whose little ball of paper is this?” monica shrieked, pointing at the crumpled ball on the table,
“oh, that would be mine. see, i wrote a note to myself and then i realised i didn’t need the note, so i balled it up...” chandler started until he saw monica’s death glare, “and now i wish i was dead,”
monica picked up the paper and started fluffing the pillow she had already fluffed, “she already fluffed that pillow,” pheobe said to you which led you to shrug.
“monica, you know, you already..” again pheobe started but monica sent her that death glare aswell, “but it’s fine!”
“look, i’m sorry, guys. but i don’t want to give them any more ammunition than they already have,” she told them.
“yes, and we all know how cruel a parent can be about the flatness of a child’s pillow,” chandler joked.
“monica? hi! um, monica? um, you’re scaring me,” pheobe stuttered, “i mean, you’re like all chaotic and twirly, you know? and, not in a good way,”
“yeah mon, calm down a little honey,” you told her.
“yeah! you don’t see ross getting all chaotic and twirly every time they come,” joey told her.
“that’s because as far as my parents are concerned ross can do no wrong. you see, he’s the prince. apparently, they had some big ceremony before i was born.” she told them.
“ew, ew, ew, ew!” chandler yelled, pointing out the window.
“what?” monica asked,
“ugly naked guy got a thigh master!” chandler shrieked,
“oh, ew,” everybody said once they saw him.
rachel walked out of her room holding her one hand, “has anyone seen my engagement ring?” she asked,
“yeah, it’s beautiful,” pheobe said, missing the point of the question.
“oh, god, oh, god! oh, god, oh, god!” rachel yelled, walking to the couch and sticking her hands under the pillow to look for her ring,
“no! rach, don’t touch that,” you whispered to her but monica saw it anyway.
“oh, like i wasn’t dreading tomorrow enough! having to give it back to him. “hi, barry! remember me? i’m the girl in the veil that stomped on your heard in front of your entire family!” oh god, and now i’m going to have to return the ring without the ring which makes it so much harder,” rachel groaned, looking for her missing ring,
“easy, rach. we’ll find it,” monica reassured her, “won’t we?” she asked, looking at you, joey and chandler.
“oh, right yeah!” you all said before you started looking for the missing ring.
“all right, when did you have it on last?” joey asked her,
“doy. probably right before she lost it,” pheobe sighed,
“you don’t get a lot of “doy” these days,” chandler pointed out.
“i know, i had it this morning, and i know i had it when i was in the kitchen with...” rachel’s eyes widened with realisation,
“dinah?” chandler asked,
“oh, don’t be mad,” she said to monica,
“you didn’t,” monica said angrily,
“oh, i’m sorry,” rachel apologised,
“i gave you one job!” monica yelled, carrying it over to the light to look for the ring,
“oh, but look how straight those noodles are!” rachel tried to lighten the situation.
“now, monica you know that’s not how you look for an engagement ring in a lasagna,” chandler said which made monica sigh,
“i just can’t do it,” she said walking away from it,
“boys?” chandler asked you, pheobe and joey, you all nodded, “we’re going in,” he finished,
you dug your hands into the lasagna, ruining it as you tried to find the engagement ring,
“i found it!” joey yelled,
“joey that’s my hand,” you told him,
“oh, sorry,” he said and went back to looking for it, so did you,
there was a knock at the door so monica answered, revealing a sad ross,
“hi,” he sighed sadly,
“oh, that is not a happy hi,” monica said to him, letting him in.
“carols pregnant,” ross said which made monica’s mouth drop and eyes go wide,
“ooh, i found it!” pheobe yelled, oblivious to what ross just said, she handed it to rachel who cleaned it.
“well, what? wha-wha..? what?” monica stuttered,
“yeah,” ross answered her question that she didn’t ask, “do that for another two hours you might me where i am right about now,”
“kind of puts that whole pillow thing in perspectives, huh, mon?” chandler asked her,
“now how do you fit into this whole thing?” rachel asked him,
“well, carol says she and susan want me to be involved but if i’m not comfortable with it i don’t have to be involved. basically it’s totally up to me,” ross explained, sitting down at the couch.
“she is so great, i miss her.” pheobe sighed, which made everybody look at her in a ‘you serious?’ kind of way.
“well, ross, what does she mean by involved?” you asked him,
“presumably, the biggest part of your job is done,” chandler said,
“anyway they want me to go down to this sonogram thing with them tomorrow,” he told you all,
“so what are you gonna do?” rachel asked him,
“i have no idea, no matter what i do though, i’m still gonna be a father.” he sighed,
you guys could hear clattering behind you so you looked back to see joey eating some of the ruined lasagna, you all looked at him with the same look you guys gave pheobe,
“well this is still ruined right?” he asked you all and didn’t get an answer so he continued eating,
you were hanging in your apartment when joey knocked on the door and walked in,
“hey joey,” you smiled and he smiled back,
“hey y/n,” he said walking to your fridge to get a beer and then he sat down,
“what are you reading?” he asked you, motioning to your vogue magazine,
“vogue, i’m looking at all the new fashion stuff- hey!” you got an idea which made joey jump,
“what?” he asked,
“okay so, if i buy some men’s outfits from here will you try them on for me please?” you asked but instead of answering he got up and left, “joey!”
“ass,” you muttered, going back to reading your magazine.

The last few weeks have been rather erratic for you, and you haven’t had much time to spend with your friends and with your boyfriend for that matter. Because of this, the whole gang decided to enjoy a poker night at Monica and Rachel’s apartment. Everyone is sitting around the kitchen table, Joey in the chair in front of the fridge — for easy access to the food, obviously — with Monica to his right and Ross to his left. Next to Monica there’s Rachel and then Phoebe. You are sitting between your boyfriend Chandler — who’s sitting next to Ross — and Pheebs.
It all started as a light hearted game, but as it always happened when money and Monica were involved, it got more and more competitive.
Everyone but you and Monica folded out and are quietly looking at  you. They all know both of you are the most competitive people in the group and the tension is palpable. The staring match is on, and neither you nor her seem to be willing to give up. At that moment Chandler decides to get up and get a beer, he’s in front of the fridge when he turns around and asks you “Hey, hon, do you want a beer?”
You are so focused on the game that you answer without thinking.
“Sorry, I can’t. I’m pregnant.”
The sound of shuttered glass makes you realise one little detail.  Oh crap, did you just say that?
You had wanted to do something cute and prepare Chandler for it, you weren’t planning on dropping the “p-bomb” just like that. Well, you have just done that, so there’s no gain in planning fancy things now...
“You what?” is all Chandler manages to say.
Everyone is as shocked as your boyfriend... Joey is looking at you with wide eyes, Ross keeps looking between you and Chandler, Rachel is covering her mouth with her hands for the surprise, Phoebe is looking at you and grinning and Monica too is staring at you. For God’s sake, Monica Geller is so surprised that she hasn’t reacted to the spilled beer all over her floor.
“Did I really just say that?” you ask yourself. Please tell me I didn’t. Please please please.
“Yeah you did!” chips in Phoebe. Thanks Pheebs.
You once again look at Chandler. He’s standing there, next to the fridge, as still as a statue, looking right into your eyes.
“W-w-wh-...wha-... w-w-w-...” is all he manages to say.
Well, he’s taken it well, you think, at least he hasn’t run away...
You put your cards face down on the table, get up and, being careful of the glass pieces covering the floor, you go to Chandler, take his hands in your and guide him to the couch.
You can feel everyone’s gaze on you, but you don’t care right now. You need to clear things up with you boyfriend. After all he’s the one who will become a father.
“Chandler, sweetie, you ok?” you ask him, but he doesn’t answer. You can see he’s thinking, trying to wrap his head around the big news you dropped on him like a bucket of iced water.
“Great job, Y/N! You’ve finally made him speechless. I’ve been trying to do that for year!” Phoebe says before she’s hit by Monica who glares at her. “Oh, ok. I’ll shut up.”
You silently thank Monica for her understanding when you see she’s ushering everyone out of the door toward Joey’s and Chandler’s apartment, leaving the two of you alone to figure things out.
“We’re having a baby...” it’s little more than a whisper, but you hear it clearly.
“We’re having a baby!” you confirm, “are you ok with it?”
“No, yes ... I mean... uh... I don’t know... I’m so confused right now, I don’t know what to think. I can barely take care of myself, how am I supposed to take care of another person? I’m not ready.”
“Well, then you’re lucky. You have a little less than eight months to get ready and used to the idea.” you smile before snuggling closer to him.
He visibly relaxes and hugs you to his chest. You stay like that for a while before he speaks up.
“So, you’re ok with this?”
“Yeah, I’m fine... I mean, I had a huge breakdown when I found out three days ago, but I’m getting used to it.”
“When were you planning to tell me?”
“I don’t really know, next week probably. I wanted to do something nice for you before I dropped the p-bomb.”
“The p-bomb?” he laughs, “I like it!”
“I’m sorry I told you like that. It slipped my mind. I was so focused on the game... I bet I scarred you for life...”
Your hands are now on his cheeks, gently stroking his face.
“Ah, don’t worry. I’m already scarred enough. You can’t fuck me up more than I already am.”
He kisses you, a long kiss that makes you understand how much you love him. It’s getting deeper and deeper and in a matter of seconds you find yourself straddling his lap.
You stop when you hear someone clearing their throat.
“You’ve already managed to spill beer all over my floor, are you also planning on ruining my couch?” Monica asks, hands on her sides, while sternly looking at you.
You get up and take Chandler with you. Once you both are standing, he comes behind you and hugs your waist.
“Actually, Mon, that’s where we conceived the baby...” he says before bursting out laughing at Monica’s horrified face.
“And he’s back!” you say, before adding “Sorry Mon, he’s just joking.”
“He better be...” she feigns being cross, but it doesn’t last long because she’s soon hugging you both and congratulating you.
It doesn’t take long before you are having a group hug and your friends are toasting to the new member of the group.

The One Where Chandler and Joey Come Out
Reposting because I accidently deleted it when pressing the wrong button and also because I’m petty want to make it show up on an idiot’s dash again. -Freddie
Tumblr media
“No.”
“Chan, come on. It’s been almost four months, we should tell them sooner than later,” Joey tried to persuade his boyfriend.
“No. No. No. Joey, I love you, but I can’t tell. Not yet.”
“And why not, huh?” Joey tossed the spoon in his into the empty tomato sauce can.
“I can admit to you that I’m like my dad. I can do that. But telling everyone else that I’m like him-” Chandler’s face lost all colour when what he said sunk in. “I-I’m not ashamed of being with you, I promise.”
“I knew what you meant,” Joey dismissed. “Look, I’m still trying to get used to this ‘bisexual’ idea, alright? It’s weird. I didn’t know you could like both but here I am.” Joey added a little bit of salt to the noodles he had on the stove. “I just feel like we should tell the guys. They tell us everything.”
Chandler sighed from where he sat on the other side of the kitchen and burrowed his hands in his hair. “We have to do this, don’t we?”
“They’d appreciate it.” Joey nodded.
Chandler didn’t move for a little bit, his mind racing with what their reactions might be. Ross bordered on homophobic because of Carol and Susan. Monica, personally, wouldn't mind and he knew that if Ross stopped hanging out with Joey and him then so would Monica and there goes Rachel. The only one that he thought wouldn’t care at all- even support them- was Phoebe.
Chandler was pulled from his racing thoughts by Joey gently kissing his lips. “You okay in there?” Joey asked, tilting his head slightly.
“That’s yet to be decided.” Chandler sighed again and leaned forward slightly so their foreheads touched, his blue-green eyes looking into Joey’s chocolate ones. “You really think we should tell them?”
“I really think we should tell ‘em.”
“Then we’ll tell them.”
***
“Anything planned for tonight?” Rachel asked the group.
“Not really.” “My date cancelled.” “No.” Came the scattered answers of Ross, Monica, and Phoebe.
“Well, we’ve gotta do something; I don’t work tonight.”
Chandler and Joey looked at each other and Joey nodded. Chandler adjusted how he was sitting on the armrest of the chair Joey occupied and tightly held his boyfriend’s hand behind his back. “Uh-” he cleared his throat, “Joey and I got something we can do.”
“Yeah?” Phoebe asked with a slowly growing smile, getting a feeling for what was about to happen. “What’s that?”
“There’s something we should tell you guys and we’ve been tossing the idea around for a couple days, actually.”
“Oh god, one of you is moving!” Phoebe clasped her hands over her mouth in mock shock. She wasn’t as dumb as they all thought and she’d known about the two since before they themselves did.
“No, no, we ain’t moving.” Joey dismissed.
“So, you guys know how everyone thinks I’m gay because I have that certain ‘quality’ to me?” Chandler asked. He got a scattered and murmured answer of yes. “Well, I don’t know about the ‘quality’ but they’re not wrong on the gay part.” He cast his eyes down, scared of their reactions.
“Wait, so you’re really gay?” Rachel asked.
“Well he’d have to be to do half the stuff we’ve done,” Joey spoke up.
The group stared at them in shock. “You’re both gay?” Ross asked. Chandler stiffened, preparing himself.
“I am...Joey’s bi.”
“What?”
“Bi, ya know?” Joey went on. “Bisexual. I’m into girls and guys?”
“So you two are going out?” Monica asked, still processing.
“Yeah…” Chandler was still waiting for someone to blow up- mainly Ross- and compare him to his father.
“That’s awesome!” Phoebe clapped. “How long have you two been together?”
“Almost four months,” Chandler said slowly.
“Wait.” “Why didn’t you tell us?” Monica and Rachel spoke together.
“Well, we didn’t know how you were guys were going to react,” Joey said. “We’ve been debating tellin’ you guys since our one month but we were sorta on edge.”
“Why?” Monica asked. “It’s just us.”
“Yeah, but two dudes together ain’t exactly the norm,” Joey went on.
“You know we weren’t going to be upset.” Monica smiled kindly, putting a hand on each of their knees to bring them some sort of comfort. “In fact, I’m going to make Chandler’s favorite dinner and Joey’s favorite dessert to celebrate.”
Ross had yet to say anything and was still staring at the floor. Chandler was starting to get antsy at his friend’s silence and Joey noticed. “Chan?” he whispered under Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe’s excited chatter. “You okay?”
“What? Yeah.”
“What’s going on?”
“I don’t know yet. I’m still trying to judge that.” Chandler spoke. He was waiting for Ross to do something. “Damn I could use a smoke right now.”
“No, no. Ya don’t need a smoke.” Joey gently ran his hand through Chandler’s hair and smiled lightly when his boyfriend tilted his head into the touch. “Wanna take a walk? Go around a block or two so you can get some air?”
Chandler considered. “That sounds nice. We can pick up something for dinner so it’s useful.”
“We can do that. Sure.” Joey turned a bit on looked into the kitchen where Monica was already working on the lasagna. “Hey Mon?”
“What’s up?”
“Do you need anything from the store? Chandler and me can go get it.”
“Uh...I’m working on the sauce right now...uh… Oh! I don’t have cottage cheese. You sure you guys are okay getting it?”
“Yeah. We’re big boys now, Mon,” Chandler piped up with his usual defensive humor.
“Alright, well thank you.”
“Not a problem.” Joey smiled as he and Chandler stood up from their chair. “We’ll be back in fif-” Chandler shook his head a little and mouthed twenty. -”twenty minutes.”
“See you guys.” “Bye.” Came the voices of Phoebe and Rachel. The boys waved over their shoulders as they walked out the door holding hands. Chandler closed the door behind him and the second the door was closed Rachel whacked the back of Ross’s head.
“What was that for?” he asked.
“Why haven’t you said anything? You’re scaring the hell out of Chandler.” Rachel folded her arms across her chest as she looked at the black haired doctor.
“Well I’m sorry if I’m a little uneasy with two of my best friends coming out as gay right after my ex-wife gets married to her lesbian lover,” Ross retorted.
“Well you should be.” Phoebe agreed with Rachel. “It took a lot of courage for them to tell us and then you go and act like this. They’re trusting us with a very important part of themselves.”
“Yeah. Besides, I think it’s sweet. I mean, how did we never notice it before?” Monica asked from where she was stirring a pot of tomato sauce on the stove. “They’re always hanging off each other or touching each other in some way.”
“Joey kissed Chandler on New Years two years in a row,” Phoebe added.
“Chandler blowing through girlfriends like a little kid with bubbles.” Rachel added. “He even stopped trying to correct us when we teased him about the whole quality thing.”
“You guys have never heard them doing anything?” Ross asked.
“No.” Monica said simply. “I just- they’re two of our closest friends. How could we have missed this?”
“Well, it’s not exactly in the norm yet.” Phoebe said. “Girls can be all cuddly with each other; you and Ross get cuddly; I just thought they were being friends.”
***
“He hates me.” Chandler said as he walked side by side with Joey still holding hands. “We never should have said anything.”
“Hey, hey. He doesn’t hate you, he’s just Ross. He’ll come around,” Joey promised. “Don’t worry so much, Chan.”
“I-I- we shouldn’t have said anything a month after his ex-wife gets married to a woman. We the hell were thinking?” Chandler ran his free hand through his hair.
“Remember what Ross told Carol when she an’ Susan almost called off their wedding? We didn’t tell ‘em for them. We told ‘em for us. We’re gonna be happy together whether or not Ross is happy for us, m’kay? And hey, I hate to say it- actually, I don’t. If Ross stops hangin’ out with us because we’re together then he’s not who I thought he was and I think we’d be better off without ‘im.” Joey finished his rant and brought their hands to his mouth, kissing their intertwined knuckles. “I love you, Chandler. And I ain’t gonna stop lovin’ you for anyone.”
“I love you too, Joey.” Chandler pecked his cheek.
***
“We’re back.” Chandler announced as he opened the door, feeling much better about things than he was before.
“Hey uh, guys...” Ross stood from where he was sitting at the kitchen table and tried to quickly word things in his mind before speaking them aloud. “I wanted to say I’m sorry for earlier. I just...I wasn’t expecting this and I shouldn’t have been so aloof with it. I want you guys to know that I don’t care that you guys are- I mean- I uh, I do care. I just- I’m not upset that you two are together. I promise. I just have to get used the fact that Carol and Susan aren’t the only gay people in the world and that anyone can be gay.”
Chandler was beaming by the time Ross stopped talking. He gave Ross a tight hug and Ross wasted no time in returning it. “It means a lot to hear that. I know we could have picked a better time, with Carol and Susan getting married and all-”
“No, no. This is on me, not on you guys. Rach had a good point. I shouldn’t be supporting my ex-wife but leaving my friends out to hang. She’s right and I was right when I told Carol that what other people think of your relationship doesn't matter. You aren’t together for them, you’re together for each other.”
“Anyway,” Phoebe jumped in, “how did you know you were gay?”
“I uh...I was in denial for a long time,” Chandler said. “I guess I’ve known since high school, I just didn’t want to admit it…”
“Remember two years ago when I kissed Chandler on New Years?” Joey got a chorus of conformations. “Yeah. Since then.”
“So… does the sex feel different?” Ross asked slowly.
“Depends on the act, I guess…” Chandler shrugged.
“Like, if ya goin’ in, it ain’t too different,” Joey started. Chandler was already red faced and hiding his face against Joey’s shoulder blade. “But the hand stuff is waaay better ‘cause ya both actually know what you’re doin’.”
“Oh, that makes sense.” Phoebe nodded.
“Can we please discuss anything el-”
“So who’s on top? How does that work?” Rachel asked. “‘Cause Chandler’s taller than you, but your personality is more commanding.”
Chandler figured if his face got any more red it melt. “We just go for it.” He muttered.
“We flipped a coin once.” Joey reminded him.
“Have you guys told your families?” Monica asked trying to save Chandler from becoming any more embarrassed.
“My family knows an’ they don’t mind too much.” Joey nodded.
“I haven’t said anything yet,” Chandler said. He traded hiding his face behind Joey to hugging the slightly shorter man from behind. “I don’t really plan to… I mean, if my mom finds out she does but I don’t plan on telling her.”
“But so we’re all good ‘ere?” Joey checked.
“All good.” Phoebe answered for the group.

arch8 Re-Vision Design Competition 2021
1 July 2021
arch8 Re-Vision Competition
RE-VISION
We laughed, we cried, we raged against the dying of the light, which was the ending of our favorite shows. Sitcoms have been there since the dawn of tv… From a CRT television to a flat-screen to our laptops to all-powerful OTT platforms, sitcoms have come a long way. But there is always that one show, that one sitcom you can watch over and over. Whether it’s before you go to bed, during your meals, or after finishing the most boring assignment ever.
The one with a character you admire, the one whose dialogues are like your second language, you got the idea… Right! We’ve seen it so often that we are aware of all the details. So what if we tell you that now you can change it and show people your perspective. Show them how it could have been if these sitcoms were shot in this day and age with you as their interior designer. So now, you’ll have the same people as before but with the needs of today’s world.
Whenever we propose a design for our clients, we try to incorporate every requirement of them. But our ideas are based more on our experiences and less on the profiles of the users. Because well, for God’s sake we just met them!! So if we are provided the possibility of knowing our client inside out, can we now propose the best-suited design for them? (Of course, we can!)
Having said that, ARCH8 is here with yet another competition for you all, this time an interior designing competition. We shortlisted 3 most famous sitcoms of all time: Friends, Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother.
Re-design any one of the following apartments:
1. Monica and Rachel’s apartment 2. Joey and Chandler’s apartment 3. Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment 4. Ted and Marshall’s apartment
You can download the .cad files of floor plans at arch8.in
Character Sketch
A little something to help you out.
1. MONICA: Monica is a chef in her early 30s. She is obsessive about things being clean and in order. (‘ Things shouldn’t be just ‘health department’ clean, they should be ‘Monica clean.’) She likes to host gatherings and invite people over for dinners and parties. She is the ‘mother ‘ of the group and can be sometimes dominative.
2. RACHEL: She has switched jobs from being a waitress to an executive at Ralph Lauren. All her friends come to her for fashion advice. She likes to shop. Rachel is very careless (as she says,” I shouldn’t be allowed to make decisions anymore.”) She is funny, spirited but pretty self-involved. She does not easily get along with other women (“That’s OK, Girls tend to not like me”).
3. CHANDLER: Chandler is a funny guy (Jokes are his ‘thing’). Chandler works in statistical analysis and data reconfiguration but nobody knows where he works (he’s a ‘transponster’). Chandler’s generally embarrassed by his parents, his job, and his relationship status. His sense of humor helps him cope with all of these problems. He is notoriously sarcastic. He is the highest-earning member of his friends’ circle.
4. JOEY: Joey is an actor whose work can be seen in the show “Days of Our Lives”. He is a child at heart and a foodie (Joey doesn’t share food). He likes all the kitsch art. He never gets in a serious relationship. He is dim-witted but good-natured. He likes to play foosball and is a big fan of ‘Baywatch’.
5. SHELDON: Sheldon is a theoretical physicist. He lives his life with rules and regulations and is obsessed with logical reasoning. He is interested in comic books and science fiction. Sheldon comes off as a stereotypical nerd and really has no qualms about it (but he is not crazy, his mother got him tested). He is socially awkward and likes to spend most of his time at home and at work.
6. LEONARD: He is an experimental physicist. He is a huge fan of Star Wars, science fiction, and comic books. Leonard is extremely nerdy and mainly associates with people who fit this description (“12 years after high school and I’m still at the nerd table.”). He also plays the cello. He is lactose intolerant. He lives in the apartment by Sheldon’s rules and regulations.
7. TED: Call him an architect, a hopeless romantic, or a know it all, you can say that he’s the embodiment of it all. Since college, Ted has been in many toxic relationships where he was considered an outcast or “not traditionally cool” i.e dorky. Interests… telling stories, falling in love, believing in destiny, avoiding confrontation, Renaissance Faires, crossword puzzles, Star Wars, breakfast foods, show tunes, girls who play bass guitar, giving “the best” gifts, and reading serious literature. (Random girl: What made you want to be an architect? Ted: Well you know, the soul of an artist, hands of a master craftsman… it was inevitable)
8. MARSHALL: Though he is arguably the kindest member of the group, he never shies away from a spirited debate, usually shouting “Lawyered!” if (well, “when”) he wins. A lawyer who’s madly in love with his partner in crime, Lily (his fiance). Creator of a funk band called “The Funk, The Whole Funk, And Nothing But The Funk”, he is a 6’4, supernatural (i.e Bigfoot, loch ness monster, and ghost) nerd and a foodie with a passion for star wars and playing (and winning) board games.

Discovery (Gendrya/Jonerys fic)
Summary:  Arya wakes up to a bunch of worried text from her roommate Daenerys, she rushes back only to be confronted with something unexpected...
Note: THIS IS A COMPANION PIECE TO FAMILY AFFAIR. DO NOT READ IF YOU’VE NOT READ THAT FIRST.
The first part is in the link below.
Link: http://archiveofourown.org/series/814458
--------
Arya woke up to Gendry's moans. She was disorientated at first, but as her blurred vision became clear she could see she wasn't in her own bed but in his at his house. His room was covered in their discarded clothes from the night previous, as was what usually happened. She glanced around his bedroom; still disorientated and noted he'd got some new swords on the wall. Gandalf's sword, Aragon's and Sting. Wow, someone's a nerd, she found herself thinking. As she glanced at the swords closely, she noted a pink string hanging off of Sting. Her thong from the night previous. Shaking her head at how that could've possibly got up there, she turned her head to see Gendry holding his own face; what had he done now?
"Bloody woman" He muttered in annoyance as his nose began to bleed.
"What did I do?" Arya punched him on the leg.
"That. You whacked me in your sleep!" Gendry grumbled at her flippancy.
Arya blinked as if confused before giving a bellied laugh and began to curl over in fits of hysterics. Gendry stuck his free hand up at her; his middle finger prominent and get out of his bed to go deal with his injury. Arya watched his butt as it walked towards the bedroom door; a tiny grin appearing on her small framed face. Damn, he looks good, she thought rudely. She found herself thinking about the first time she saw him naked over two years ago and how her sister had accidentally seen him too. Sansa didn't speak to Arya for a week then; for she was too embarrassed.
Feeling mischevious; she lept from his comfy bed and followed him into the bathroom. As he was observing his nose; she came hopped up on the edge of his bathtub and started running it; purposefully not putting a dressing gown on while she waited. It was the biggest and most comfortable bath-tub she'd ever been in (beside the one in the Hilton Hotel she and Gendry went to for their two year anniversary) and it had jets and different pressure settings.
Gendry owned a House building company and he had recently been contracted to build a bunch of new luxury homes on the edge of High Garden town. They'd finished the build and it was now home to some of the rich and famous from across the globe. As reward, not only had his company made 12 million from it; which was a 8 million profit by the time everything had been paid for including workers, but for helping over see the projects and for 80 hours weeks he was putting in a one point he received a $500'000 bonus. He moved out of his shack apartment and actually bought himself a new house, without the need to take a mortgage out.
So here she was; offering herself to him on the edge of his brand new bath (which was more a Jacuzzi at this point) and he was too busy fiddling with his nose. She coughed; trying to get his attention. He snapped at her then. "Yes, we can have a bath in a minute!"
"Alright, geesh. Nice to go and ruin the moment" She grumbled as she crossed her arms across her chest.
"Ruin the moment? You punched me in the face!" His nose had stopped bleeding but his attitude was still present so Arya just grumbled her way to the living room. She searched for a few minutes before finding her bag kicked under the sofa downstairs. As she opened it everything spilled out; condoms, cigarettes (thanks Jon!), a tampon and finally her phone. It was on 14% charge and she saw she had 8 missed calls and 6 messages. All from Daenerys.
00:42am
Hope you're okay, let me know when you're coming home Xx
01: 09am
Is everything good; have you turned your phone off again? Xx
02:56am
Arya where are you? Xx
03:37am
You're really scaring me, are you at Gendry's? Xx
04:28am
Ffs Arya, answer your phone!
06:39am
ARYA ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!
Shit. She hadn't let Daenerys know she was alright; that she was at Gendry's. Oh drat she was going to be in trouble. Wondering if she should stay or go back to her apartment she chose the latter not wanting to upset Dany any longer. "Gendry I've gotta go!" She shouted up the stairs looking for her shoes from the night before. "Daenerys has been trying to phone me and has left me a bunch of messages"
"You might wanna put some clothes on then!" He shouted from the top of the stairs. Arya shook her head in annoyance at his obvious statement. She ran up the stairs and went back into Gendry's room and gathered her clothes. She had to jump to retrieve her knickers from the sword. She asked Gendry for his help but he was enjoying the view of her boobs bouncing up and down too much he had said. She threatened to punch him again so he shut up. "I'll take you home; I don't like the idea of someone trying to take advantage of you dressed like that"
"Like what?" Arya's eyes narrowed.
"Like how you dress for me; only I get to appreciate you like that" He smirked. Arya rolled her grey eyes and threw a pillow at him. She snapped at him to get dressed as she retreated back into the bathroom to turn the bath off. It was a shame she wasn't going to get to try it out again.
A few minutes later they were ready to leave; Arya was thankful that Gendry only lived a 15 minute car journey from her apartment; the longer she left Dany fuming the worse it'd end up being for her. They filled the journey with the car radio; the daily news ringing out.
"And in other big news fashion guru, Sansa Stark has announced that she is teaming up with fashion Icon's Gucci for a limited addition range of home furniture. It's the first time in history that Gucci will be making home furniture and have said they are extremely happy to be working with such a fashion forward mind. Sansa Stark's brand House of Stark is set to pocket 400 million from the collaboration..."
"That's my sister!" Arya smiled gleefully. Sansa hadn't been able to give her the full announcement of what she'd been working on but she knew it was something big. "I need to message her and see if I can get my hands on any of it for the apartment; perks of being the sister. Expensive stuff for free!"
"You usually hate what she designs" Gendry laughed.
"No, I hated her Autumn Launch last year; the lions weren't my thing. Her Spring florals this year were great!"
A silence fell over the last five minutes of the journey; Arya looked at the time on her phone 9:30am. Dany had been trying to get hold of her for nearly 10 hours now. She was going to really face the dragon's fire when she got in. She looked out of her window to see the apartment come into view. It was then she remembered Jon getting annoyed with Dany and her subsequently going off to apologise. Arya found herself wondering if Jon was even home; he probably would be dead by now with the rage Daenerys was probably feeling.
She climbed out of the car once Gendry pulled into the parking lot and shuffled to get her keys out of her bag. They walked tot he elevator and rode it to the top; the elevator music droning into Arya's brain once again. She hated it; she'd spoken several times about getting it changed but it was still the same clink of bells and whistles. The doors opened to the second floor. Her neighbour was going into her apartment; when Arya said hello she just grumbled. Arya glanced at Gendry who was covering his mouth to stop himself from laughing.
"Bitch" Arya grumbled once the lady had gone into her house. Arya keyed the door and as it swung open; she prepared herself for a wall of noise.
But nothing happened. She glanced at Gendry who shrugged and so they both stepped into the hallway. Nothing. No shouting Daenerys in her face, perhaps she'd gone to bed after waiting up for so long. Gendry slowly opened the living room door encase she was in the living room and hadn't heard them come in. But again; it was empty. Jon's bedding was on the sofa but nothing out of the ordinary. Jon hasn't been home then, she thought briefly until she saw his t-shirt and trousers from the night before screwed up, half kicked under the chair.
Peculiar. Gendry started laughing quietly; Arya turned and gave him a confused look. He quietly whispered. "Listen"
She didn't hear anything at first, but when she stepped back into the hallway she heard it. Horror befell her face as she tiptoed to Dany's bedroom door and pressed her ear next to it. Gendry did the same thing and suddenly she felt like she was in that one Friends episode where Phoebe, Monica and Chandler are listening in on their Ross and Charlie making out on one side of the wall and Rachel and Joey on the other.
What she heard, horrified her, as muffled as it was.
"God's Daenerys you're so wet" The male voice spoke. Gendry glanced at Arya as it finally sank in who it was. Her eyes were wide and Gendry had to stop himself laughing at her face. As they continued to listen momentarily; she heard Daenerys speak.
"Jon, mmm yes" She moaned, again muffled through the wall.
Arya quickly took her ear from the wall and held her head in her hands. Her brother was fucking her best-friend. Jon was fucking Daenerys. How was this happening? They literally hate each other; she can hardly stand to be in the same room as each other. How did this happen? Gendry had the same confused looks although when Arya looked at him for an answer he just shrugged.
How.
The last she saw of them the night previous they'd been arguing; like usual, at each other's throats. But now; they were sticking their tongues in each others throats and Arya didn't know how to process this. Gendry took her by the shoulders and began to lead her back out of the apartment as her mouth gaped open in shock. He locked the door behind them. not before grabbing on of Arya's cardigans that was hanging up on the wall. They didn't say anything; until the elevator doors closed and they were going down to the car once again.
"Let's go get breakfast" Gendry tried to make Arya forget what she saw.
"WHAT THE FUCK, GENDRY! WHAT THE EVER-LOVING FUCK DID WE JUST HEAR?" She exclaimed as the doors to the front of the building opened and she began to march to the car.
"I believe your brother was fucking your best friend" Gendry said bluntly. "Look what they get up to is none of my business"
"I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW" She shouted some more, hoping the louder she shouted the more sense it would make in her mind. "Look, Dany hasn't slept with anyone in ages; I'm talking nearly a year and now she just so willingly is opening her legs? For Jon no less!"
"Calm down, Arya. Let's go get breakfast and we can talk about it afterwards!" Gendry tried to reason.
"Gendry, I just heard my brother talking about how wet my best friend is, I will not calm down!" She was angry and as she slammed the car door shut as she got in it Gendry new there was no arguing with her. "He better not be using her like he has every other woman since Ygritte!"
"So that's the part your annoyed about?" Gendry found his face screw up in laughter. "You think Dany's too good for your brother?"
"I think Jon before Ygritte would've been good enough, this Jon, no I do not think he's good enough. I love him; Gendry but he has been so reckless, I just don't... like what position does this put us in. We'll be stuck in the fucking middle as the idiots that don't take a side when they go back to arguing"
"True enough, but they're always arguing so it's nothing new"
They didn't say another word about it all day, Gendry just let Arya stew over it while they stayed away from the house. Eventually Arya text Dany to let her know she was coming home (this was about 6pm; she thought she'd have given them plenty of time to stop their fucking and continue to be angry at one another. And so when they re-entered the apartment and Jon was sleeping on the sofa and Daenerys was cooking dinner, the washer spinning with Dany's sheets in, Arya never said a word and neither did Gendry.
They decided to play the waiting game; after all, Daenerys wasn't likely to admit she'd just slept with her enemy.

How to Be Friends with Someone You Like without Losing Your Mind
Liking a friend makes things complicated. But here you can learn how to be friends with someone you like without going crazy.
You can literally *figuratively* drive yourself crazy thinking about your crush. But, it does not have to be so hard. You can learn how to be friends with someone you like. You just have to take a few steps for it to be bearable and then for it to be fine.
We have all had a crush on a friend. It is weird. You spend time with them, but it is platonic. All you want to do is tell them you like them, but you don’t want to make things weird or ruin your friendship.
Are you already friends?
This is an important question to consider when you want to know how to be friends with someone you like. If you are already friends, you have a foundation. You are comfortable around this person.
But, if you are trying to be friends with someone you like in order to create a foundation that could turn into something else, things can get iffy. That friendship already starts out with a secret. You are beginning a friendship with the intention of getting them to like you. [Read: Naughty ways to get yourself out of the friend zone permanently]
I am not saying that it cannot work, but it isn’t honest and that friendship won’t be the real thing if you harbor romantic feelings the whole time. You will always have an intent not purely friendship.
Yes, it is beneficial to have a friendship before a relationship. Think Chandler and Monica. Their friendship made their relationship stronger. But, forming a relationship with the hopes of becoming more is a messy thing to do.
I do not personally believe in the friend zone as it makes a friendship seem like a consolation prize. If you truly liked someone you would feel happy just to be their friend, not disappointed that you don’t get more from them.
If you try to be friends with someone you like in order to get them to like you, you are being sneaky, not romantic, and dishonest not respectful. [Read: Strictly platonic – Why you should never use the word ‘frienzone’]
Being friends with someone you like
Think back to Friends. When Joey had a crush on Rachel, he was such a gentleman about it. He respected her and didn’t make a move. Even when he did tell her how he felt he was gracious and respectful and accepted that she didn’t feel the same way.
On the other hand, Ross continued to be jealous of Rachel’s dates. He was rude and manipulative whenever he had the chance. He always had underlying feelings for her and wanted her as his property rather than actually letting her be happy without him.
You want to be Joey, not Ross. You have to accept any outcome. You have to realize that just because you feel this way doesn’t mean they do too. Being friends with this person seems like it would complicate things, but in fact, it can make the whole situation easier.
They know you and you know them. You respect one another and want the other to be happy. You also have to decide if you want to make a move, share how you feel, or try to move on. [Read: How to get your friend to like you ore – 13 easy hacks]
How to be friends with someone you like
Now I did give you Joey as an example of how to be friends with someone you like. But, even though he was a class act, that is a fictional television show. So here are some dos and don’ts on how to be friends with someone you like.
#1 Do not have an ulterior motive. Being friends with someone you like is not easy, but it does not have to be hard. What makes it hard is trying to convince them to like you. Putting effort into that friendship as if you are wooing them is not a good idea. [Read: How to handle sexual tension between friends like a platonic pro]
#2 Don’t be a doormat. When you like someone, you want them to like you, obviously. And a good way to do that is to be polite and caring. Makes sense. But, just because you like a friend does not mean you have to be their follower. You do not have to run errands for them or do everything they ask.
Not only will that make things more difficult for you, but that will not grow your friendship. Going above and beyond for a friend is wonderful, but going above and beyond for a friend you like as more than a friend is discounting all you truly have to offer.
#3 Do be respectful. There are a lot of ways we deal with rejection. Drinking, anger, sadness, venting, and the list goes on. But being friends with someone you like is not just accepting rejection and moving on. It is a long and drawn out time to get used to not being together.
Sure you may be bitter or upset, but you have to remain respectful. Just because they are your friend, it does not mean they owe you a chance at a relationship. And it does not mean they should see that you like them without saying anything. [Read: 13 stages of trying to get over someone who doesn’t like you]
#4 Do be a true friend. Undermining a decision this person is making because you like them is wrong. Once again, let’s go back to Ross Gellar. He is “friends” with Rachel, but instead of supporting her dream job in Paris, he goes behind her back to get her to stay.
That is not a true or good friend in any way, shape, or form.
#5 Try to move on. You do not want to spend the rest of your life, year, or even month suffering in silence. If you decided not to tell your friend that you like them, it is time to move on. This does not mean you have to go on the rebound, but it can mean flirting, considering others, and venting to someone you trust. [Read: How to ask a friend out without risking the friendship]
#6 Do take some space. Seeing someone you like continuously, even in a platonic sense can make things even harder for you. So just take some space away from them. Even friendships with people you don’t like have lulls.
So tell them you’re busy with work and just take even a week or so away from them. That space can do you a lot of good. It can help you move on or help you realize you want to tell them how you feel.
#7 Do treat them like any other friend. If you wouldn’t drive your friends to the airport, don’t go above and beyond for this friend because you like them. If you would let a friend vent to you about a date, let them do the same.
If you want to be friends with this person, you have to actually be friends with them.
#8 Do not treat them badly. Do not take out your emotional frustration on them. That is not fair. It is not their fault that you like them. If you can’t treat them with kindness maybe you are not capable of being their friend. [Read: 17 signs you’re falling for your best friend and how to deal with it]
#9 Accept their relationships. Don’t be rude to their significant other. Do not diss their partner in front of them or behind their back. If you want to know how to be friends with someone you like, realize you are just friends. That means they can date who they choose and your jealousy cannot be involved in that.
#10 Do be appreciative. Do not see your friendship as second place to a relationship. You have to be happy to have this person in your life. You have to see this friendship as something you appreciate, not something you are fine with because you can’t sleep with them.
Friendship is not a punishment, it is something you should feel lucky to have. [Read: Understanding a platonic friendship]
#11 Do not pine. Waiting around for them to see that you like them and have been in front of them the whole time is unhealthy and will not work. I know it works on TV and in the movies, but it rarely works in the real world.
Letting go takes time. You won’t move on immediately, but do have a plan to move on. If not, you will just be waiting around for something that is never going to happen.
#12 Date. Again I am not saying you should go around on the rebound, but do be open to other options. You never know, you could meet someone you like even more.
You may still have feelings for your friend, but being open to outside possibilities will let you see other outcomes. [Read: In love with your best friend? Why you need to back away right now]
#13 Don’t try to make them jealous. I know I am like a broken record. Do not try to brag about someone you’re seeing to make them jealous. Don’t prance some hot person in front of them. That is in bad taste. Not only does it make you seem juvenile, but it is disrespectful to your friend and the person you are using.
You are lying to this person and underestimating the person you like.
#14 Do not guilt them. Don’t make them feel bad for not liking you back. Feelings are not something you can just decide to feel or not to feel. If they don’t like you in the same way you have to be okay with it.
If you cannot do that, you should not be friends with them. [Read: Letting go of someone you love without the bitterness]
#15 Tell them how you feel. If you just cannot stay quiet anymore that is okay. If you don’t want to ask yourself what if and think there could be a chance that is okay. Or if you need to get your feelings off your chest in order to move on and maintain the friendship, do it.
Just remember to accept any outcome.
[Read: How to lose feelings for someone and let go of the might have beens]
There are lots of ways to learn how to be friends with someone you like if that is truly what you want. It may not be easy at first, but if you value this person as a friend, it’ll all be worth it.

Friends: Chandler version.
*What if a show with multiple main characters and points of view only had one point of view? What if it was only Chandler that told the story of the episode and we saw what happened in that episode through him? How might that go?
----
So I’m sitting at the coffeehouse right, and I’m sitting with my newspaper, sipping my coffee, because, you know, adults like me do that kind of thing. So Rachel is waiting tables (while asking customers for extra tips... weird) while Pheebs and Ross are sitting here with me and we are all kind of doing our own thing. “Only 98.50 to go” I hear Rachel behind me. Then Monica comes in.
“Hey” she greets us, “Did you know that mom and dad are going to Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving?”
She’s talking to Ross here, he goes “No, they’re not”.
But she’s like “Yes they are the Blymans invited them”.
Though he’s convinced that they are not so he calls his parents and it turns out that they are.
But while Ross is calling them, Joey walks in and oh my god his face… hah!get this, he’s wearing makeup! He sits down and he’s like, “as of today, I am Joey Tribbiani: actor slash model”.
And I’m just joking like “that’s so funny because ‘cause I was thinking you look more like Joey Tribbiani: man slash woman”. But it really turns out that he’s modeling to be on a poster for the city free clinic. He doesn’t know which health issue he’ll be advertising for so we’ll just have to see.
So Ross comes back and he’s mad because I’m guessing they go to Thanksgiving with their parents and this year obviously will not.
Then Monica comes up with this idea: “How about if I make [thanksgiving] dinner at my place?” then she goes “Joey you’re going home right?” which he is, “and I assume, Chandler, you’re still boycotting all the pilgrim holidays?”
“Yes. Every single one of them” I reply. I hate Thanksgiving.
She continues “and Phoebe, you’ll be with your grandma?”
Phoebe responds “Yeah, and her boyfriend, but we are celebrating Thanksgiving in December because he’s lunar” God, Pheebs is weird, but we love her. So she’s now going to spend Thanksgiving with Ross and Monica.
Then there’s Rachel, who now tells us that she’s trying to make a hundred bucks to get a flight to Vail to go skiing with her family for Thanksgiving. Oh… that’s what the 98.50 was for.
“Only $102 to go” she says.
Hold on, “I thought it was 98.50?”
“It was, but I broke a cup”.
Then Ross got up to go to his ex wife, Carol’s house who is now a lesbian and is carrying Ross’s child. Very, VERY messed up relationship there.
After that, everyone just kind of left their separate things. I went back to Monica’s and sat on the couch for about 3 hours.
So Ross comes back from Carol’s and sits at the table and he’s sitting in front of this giant about-to-be-cooked turkey. Apparently his ex-wife’s girlfriend is speaking to their unborn child by talking to Carol’s stomach. Crazy lunatics parents are you know. That is the reason I am NEVER having kids ulghh! Once people have kids they become TOTALLY different people, they get all responsible and stuff. Just the thought of it freaks me out!
Then Rachel walks in and the rest of us thought it would be nice if each of us chipped in 20 bucks so she could get the money to go to Vail, because there was (haha) NO way that Rachel was ever going to get that much with her waitressing job. So she’s sitting on the couch having no idea that we have done this and she’s all like disappointed that she doesn’t have the money to go. And then Monica hands her the envelope. She opens it and she’s so grateful we all hug her and that’s that.
Then thank GOD Monica brings out my traditional holiday feast:
Tomato soup, grilled cheese fix-ins, and my very large family size bag of Funions. Could it GET any better than this?
I am handed this lovely bag of the healthiest foods and Rachel goes, “Wait, wait Chandler, this is what you're having for Thanksgiving? What is it with you and this holiday?” And ahhh my favorite story. She’s new and I think EVERYONE should know this, I mean they do so might as well tell it again:
“Alright I’m nine years old. We have just finished this magnificent Thanksgiving dinner, I have -and I remember this part vividly- a mouthful of pumpkin pie, and this is the moment my parents choose to tell me they’re getting divorced…. Yes, yes very difficult to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner when you’ve seen it in reverse”. So yes, that is the story of my life THANK YOU LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.
Anyway moving on, GUESS WHAT POSTER JOEY GOT PUT ON?! It was for, get this, SYPHILIS. And it’s all over New York, I mean literally everywhere. Everyone and their brother most likely seen it one hundred million times. Could this BE anymore embarrassing, I mean I almost feel bad about it. So the rest of us are sitting in the coffee shop the next morning just laughing our heads off about this when Joey walks in.
“So I guess you all saw it?” he says smiles, I can tell he’s just full of regret.
Now we are just all trying so hard not to laugh because he is our friend and it’s not cool but then Phoebe goes, “No we are just laughing, you know how laughter can be infectious” and after that the rest of us just lost it.
Then Ross went back to Carol’s to also talk to Carol’s stomach/his unborn child whichever sounds the most ridiculous. Rachel went to the airport to get her ticket for Vail. Monica and Pheebs cooked Thanksgiving dinner and I just kind of hung out in the apartment while they were doing that. There was no way I was going to help them. Too much Thanksgiving...ness.
Joey walks in, “Set another place for Thanksgiving. My entire family thinks I have VD” he says to Monica.
Ahh Thanksgiving, “Tonight on a very special blossom” I say. Gotta LOVE this holiday. And that was pretty much that day.
Now, today, is Thanksgiving.
Rachel comes in all cheerful. Ulghh why today? Anyway she’s like “Five minutes from now” now making skiing gestures with her hands, “Shoop, shoop, shoop”.
My GOD, “Oh, you must stop shooping” I say to her. Though it is nice that at least one of us actually had plans that worked for today (other than me). And my plan for today is to stay away from all the Thanksgiving... ness and merriment and sit in my self loathing of my parents divorce. Great.
Now Pheebs is just flying pies at me just to tease me with my hate of this holiday. Man, it’s just not funny anymore. So then I just kind of left to go watch the news because, you know, the news is depressing, like me now. So I’m flipping through the channels and I see the most INCREDIBLE THING EVER! I have to go back across the hall to tell them.
I burst through the door, “The most unbelievable thing has happened! Underdog, has gotten away”
“The balloon?” Joey says.
“No, no the actual cartoon character” pfft, I wish, “Of course the balloon! It’s all over the news, right before he reached Macy’s he broke free and was spotted flying over Washington Square park. I’m going to the roof, who’s with me?”
Everyone moving out the door but Rachel, “I can’t, I gotta go!”
“Come on an eighty-foot inflatable dog loose over the city how often does that happen?” I say back.
“Almost never” replies Phoebe and we all leave the apartment and run to the roof. And OH MY GOD it was HUGE! It was so funny to watch the multitude of police trying to catch the inflatable dog. They eventually had to shoot it down because it was “causing too much of a scene”. It was kind of sad really.
So we all are in front of the door of their apartment and Monica goes “Ok! Right about now the turkey should be crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside” I mean, not that I care. But now I’m just hungry. Then she says, “Why are we standing here?”
Rachel answers, “We’re waiting for you to open the door, you’ve got the keys”
“No I don’t”
“Yes you do, when we left you said ‘Got the keys’”
“No I didn’t, I asked, ‘Got the ke-eys?’”
“No you didn’t you said ‘Got the keys.’”
Ok now this is becoming ridiculous, “Either of you have the ke-eys?”
So apparently neither of them do and also apparently the stove is on with our fantastic Thanksgiving dinner and Rachel’s plane ticket is in there. Then Joey has the brilliant thought that we have an extra copy of their key in our apartment across the hall. In there, we apparently have a drawer with like a million extra keys we never use.
We bring the drawer out and Joey starts trying keys to find the one. I am holding the drawer and he’s doing the fitting. Long story short, we have been here trying keys for what feels like an ETERNITY.
Monica is getting impatient, “Can you go any faster with that?”
“Hey, I got one keyhole, and about a zillion keys. You do the math!” Oh my god, I think that’s the first time I have ever seen Joey ‘do math’ in my life.
Then I think I made some joke to Rachel and all of a sudden she just took me by my shirt and started whining about how she could have been on a plane at that moment as if she was blaming me for this incident. Pfft.
Then Rachel and Monica went on arguing about the damn keys. Man they were so loud, I don’t think that there was a man on Mars that didn’t quite hear them. Joey and I are just watching them argue like ‘whoa thank god we are much better roommates than them’. Then Monica goes on this whole spiel about how she’s making this dinner and how now it’s all ruined and whatever but the whole thing kind of just turned into this sobfest. So, I said something like “Hey Monica, only dogs can hear you now so look the door is open”.
We all walk in and it’s just smoke everywhere and it smells like burned potatoes.
This is the time that Ross just decides to walk in singing (perfect timing really).
Rachel is now angry because she missed her flight. She’s like “now I’m stuck here with you guys”. Then all of them get in this big argument about how this dinner wasn’t anyone’s first choice and now it’s all ruined and it sucks.
So while all this is going on I’m just sitting by the door like “now this feels like Thanksgiving”. Now everybody feels my pain of today. And I love it.
Now we are all just pissed. All of us sitting around the apartment thinking about how sucky this holiday is. As I always do and like how I am now.
I see Phoebe is sitting by the window, she says something “Ew! Ugly-naked-guy is taking his turkey out of the oven!” Eh, not important. She gasps, “Oh my god! He’s not alone. Ugly-naked-guy is having Thanksgiving dinner with ugly-naked-gal. We all rush to the window. It’s really nice, both of them look so happy and honestly grateful to just be with each other. We are all gushing at them and then Pheebs goes “It’s nice that he has someone”. So despite this sucky day, we all reconcile and have ‘Thanksgiving meal’ according to my big bag of goodies. So that means a fantastic grilled cheese meal, courtesy of the chef, myself.
“Shall I carve?” I say standing at the head of the table with the plate of stacked grilled cheeses.
And then Monica and Joey do the cheesy thing (pun intended) where they split a sandwich wishbone style. Then I figure I say something to the group like in most Thanksgiving tradition where the head of the table says something like that.
“I would like to propose a toast, I know this isn’t the kind of Thanksgiving you all planned, but for me this has been really great, you know. I think because it didn’t involve divorce or projectile vomiting. Anyway I was just thinking if you had gone to Vail, or you guys had been with your families, or if you didn’t have syphilis and stuff, that we wouldn’t be all together, you know. So I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m very thankful that all of your Thanksgivings’ sucked”. So, again, THANK YOU LADIES AND GENTLEMEN GOOD NIGHT!

The One With The Dozen Lasagnas Part Four (Buh-Bye)
Here we go! Another episode done, I can’t even believe it!
Last Part (Part Three), Series Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had been playing foosball for quite a while with Monica and the both of you were kicking Chandler and Joey’s asses. Unfortunately, at one point both of the men were becoming such sore losers that they traded you for Ross, but even with the new addition; Monica now doing literally all of the work and sometimes even switched places with Ross. So now you stood at the end of the table next to Phoebe after she had come over to explain that she told Rachel what had happened with Paolo, also Paolo had arrived so Phoebe decided to give the both of them some time. “I think she took it pretty well.” Phoebe told all of you, while you nodded your head in understanding. “You know, Paolo’s over there right now, so.” Phoebe said to you and Monica, meaning that Rachel probably needed her girlfriends to be with her at a time like this.
“We should get over there and see if she’s okay.” You added, hinting at Monica to finish the game.
“Yeah, you’re right.” Monica agreed with you as she yet again switched places with Ross. “Just one...second. Woo, score!” Monica cheered as the ball went down the guys side again and she turned to celebrate with her brother. “Come on.” Monica said to you and Phoebe as she opened up the door, before you could follow Phoebe and Monica across the hall you turned quickly and you and Joey made eye contact so you smiled and winked him a goodbye.
Yourself, Monica, and Phoebe all sat on the couch. You all decided to pretend to be watching tv so Monica held the remote in her hand, but the tv wasn’t even on. All of you had the plan to not seem like you were spying, but you had to admit that you were doing a terrible job. As soon as you saw Rachel dump Paolo’s clothes in his suitcase down from the balcony you just couldn’t look away. “How’s it going?” You heard Ross ask as he closed the door and came to watch out the window as he leaned on the couch.
“Don’t stare.” Monica warned him. “Okay, she just finished throwing his clothes off the balcony. Now there’s just a lot of gesturing and arm waving.” Monica filled in the blanks, and she also tried to keep filling them in but went a step too far, even though it was funny to you. “Okay, that is either, “How could you?” or “Enormous breasts.””
“Here he comes.” You announced to get everybody’s attention, which was good because just as he was climbing over the window the four of you shot up and ran in different directions just to make it look like you weren’t just watching Rachel’s entire conversation. But of course all four of you chose to stand in the kitchen just so you could watch Paolo’s walk of shame. Phoebe took a drink from the refrigerator, Monica polished a glass, Ross flipped through mail, and you ate some chips that were left on the counter.
“Uh, I am, uh, to say goodbye.” Paolo announced to all of you slowly so he got it right. But he didn’t seem all that upset at what was happening which made you just want to punch him in the face and kick him in a place that would not be very friendly.
“Oh, okay, bye-bye.” Phoebe waved to him with a smile on her face.
“Paolo, I really hate what you did to Rachel, but I still have five of these so heat it at 375 until the cheese bubble.” Monica told the man with a pissed off look on her face as she reluctantly gave him one of her lasagnas. The Paolo stopped in front of you as if you were going to say anything.
“I don’t know why you think I’m going to say something, I didn’t really like you to begin with. You were always kind of odd. So, all I want to say is good riddance.” You told him before you turned back to the thing you were snacking on.
“Paolo,” Ross started as he held the door open for the man. “I just want to tell you and I think I speak for everyone when I say…”Ross ended it with just slamming the door in Paolo’s face, which in your opinion was the perfect way to end this.
“Oh, just look at her.” Phoebe sighed sadly as all of you looked at Rachel all alone on the terrace. All of you were about to go out there to make sure that she was okay, but it seemed that someone had a different idea.
“I really think only one of us should go out there so she’s not overwhelmed.” Ross told the three of you, which made sense.
“Oh, you’re right.” Monica agreed as she took a step to go, but Ross grabbed a hold of her arm and pulled her back before she could get too far. “And I really think it should be me.” Phoebe and Monica looked at each other confused, but you couldn’t help but shake your head and smirk as you watched him head out to Rachel. But it was about time he did something and took a step in the direction of the possibility of being with her.
Monica, Phoebe, and you sat at the kitchen table eating one of the lasagnas when you noticed that Ross and Rachel had made their way back inside. “Hey, honey, are you alright?” Monica asked, running to give Rachel a hug to which you and Phoebe followed. Monica and Phoebe hugging her sides as you hugged her facing her.
“Medium.” Rachel answered as you all hugged. “Any cookies left?”
“Yeah.” Phoebe said as Monica and you followed the two over to the chair to indulge on cookies and eat your feelings with Rachel.
“See, Rach,  I don’t think swearing off guys altogether is the answer. I really don’t. I think what you need is to develop a more sophisticated screening process.” Ross rambled to her to try and change her mind so she would consider dating him.
“No, I just need to be by myself for a while, you know?” Rachel spoke and you ladies nodded with her, all of you sitting on different parts of the armchair. “I just got to figure out what I want.”
“Uh, no,no.” Ross disagreed as he made his way to the fridge. “See, because not all guys out there are gonna be a Paolo.”
“No, I know.” Rachel agreed with him on some extent, but then she started to talk without thinking. “And I’m sure your little boy is not going to grow up to be one.” She managed to realize what she had just done when her eyes opened wide and she stared at Phoebe in shock and you and Monica looked at each other in surprise before looking at the others.
“What?” Ross asked her to make sure he had heard what Rachel just said.
“What?” Rachel asked quickly, hoping that Ross had just misheard that entire thing.
“I-I’m having a boy?” Ross asked as he felt the excitement growing in him, but he just needed confirmation first.
“Uh, no.” Rachel just didn’t know how to fix this after her big mouth opened. “No, no, in fact, you’re not having a boy.” She scratched awkwardly behind her ear.
“I’m having, I’m having a boy.” Ross started repeating as the news got more and more real to him. “Huh? Am I having a boy?” He couldn’t take it anymore.
“YOU”RE HAVING A BOY!” All of you cheered as you jumped up from your seats and you all ran over to give Ross a hug.
“I’m having a boy!” Ross exclaimed as he picked Monica up and spun her.
“What is it!?” Chandler and Joey burst in with worried looks. They came over when they heard shouting, but when they saw all of the smiles they calmed down.
“I’m having a boy. I’m having a boy.” Ross repeated to them.
“Hey!” They both cheered for him, but then they realized something. “We already knew that!” They both cheered as Joey and Chandler hugged each other. After a couple of seconds when you looked back at Ross it looked like all of the color had drained from his face.
“I’m having a son, umm.” Ross mumbled as if he just couldn’t believe it.
*******
Monica was over again and she was playing game after game after game of foosball. But it was so late that you couldn’t keep your eyes open as you sat at the counter peninsula in your pajamas, your hand resting on your chin as you felt your eyelids getting heavier. “Yes! And that would be a shut-down!” Monica cheered as she scored another point.
“SHUT-OUT!” Both of the boys yelled at her in anger of losing again, but it made you groan loudly when it woke you up a little. Chandler and Joey shook their heads as Chandler started to make his way to his way to his room and Joey walked over to you and out his hand on your lower back as he helped you up and let you lean your sleepy body on his and he started to help you to his room.
“Where are you guys going?” Monica asked in surprise. “Come on! One more game!” Monica whined like a child.
“It’s 2:30 in the morning.” Joey told her in exhaustion and impatient as he kept rubbing your back.
“Yeah, get out.” Chandler told her, but still playing off of the shut-out thing earlier.
“You guys are always hanging out in my apartment. Come on, I’ll only use my left hand, huh? Come on, wussies.” Monica wiggled her left fingers as she tried to taunt the guys. Joey made sure that you were up and standing on your own before he and Chandler walked over to Monica and each grabbed one of her arms and lifted her off the floor.
“Alright, okay, I got to go.” Monica said as you waved at her, thinking they’d put her down.  “I’m going, and I’m gone.” Monica announced as her feet hit the floor in the hallway and ran her way across back to her own apartment. Once the door was closed you thought that you could finally crawl into bed with your boyfriend but it seemed he and your brother had other plans.
“Another game?” Chandler offered his roommate.
“Oh yeah.” Joey immediately agree, causing you to let out a sigh and look up at the ceiling in exhaustion as your hands fell to the side.
“Whatever, I’m going to bed.” You grumbled.
“Goodnight, sis.” Chandler called as he stepped to his side of the table.
“Goodnight, baby.” Joey called to you as he just hit the foosball to start yet another game.

The One Where Underdog Gets Away Part One: Boycott Thanksgiving
Here y’all go! Hope you enjoy! Love you <3
Tumblr media
Friends rewrite (masterlist),   Part Four (last part)
“There you go have a nice day.” You smiled at the customer you had just helped try to find her foundation shade after she had tried to take one that was way too orange for her skin; if it weren’t for you she would have been walking around like a carrot. You were smiling on the outside, but all you were thinking on the inside that you weren’t going to have to wait to work in few days because then it would be thanksgiving.
“Hey there, Y/N. How’re you doing?” Your coworker asked you as she made her way behind the counter with something for the customer that was following her.
“Thanksgiving can’t come fast enough,” you whispered so that the customer wouldn’t hear your negativity which has already gotten you in trouble. You didn’t mean to be negative you just weren’t learning as much as you wanted to about makeup as you thought you would be.
“I hear you, got any plans?” She asked.
“Nah, my big brother boycotts this holiday since it was the day our parents got divorced. So there’s no reason to celebrate it by myself.” You shrugged trying to make no big deal about it.
“Oh, come on. You can have dinner at my house.” Your coworker offered.
“As nice as that offer is, I am going to have to pass. I just don’t want to intrude.” You shook your head. The last thing you wanted to do was celebrate your least favorite holiday was your least favorite thing; meeting new people and making small talk. “Well, I’m done for the day, but thanks again for the offer. Have a good shift.” You patted her on the back before you turned on your heel to go clock out before you made your way to the coffee house.
*********
“Well, hello there mi amigos,” you smiled as you walked into the coffee house.
“Hey,” Ross acknowledged you as Phoebe and Chandler just smiled at you. You, however, had no idea what Rachel was doing. “What’s going on with Rach?” You asked Ross as you took a seat at the table nearest the couch.
“She’s trying to get enough money to go on a skiing trip with her family for Thanksgiving.” He explained.
“Only $98.50 to go.” Rachel whined to you guys as she hurried back behind the counter.
“Hey Rach, can I have a coffee and a muffin? Thank you, I’ll give you a good tip.” Rachel smiled a thanks at you, she looked so stressed.
“Hey,” Monica came through the door. “Ross did you know that mom and dad are going to Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving?” She asked as she took off her coat.
“No, they’re not.” Ross scoffed at her.
“Yes they are. The Blymans invited them.” Monica gave him the news as she sat on the couch arm next to Phoebe.
“You’re wrong.” Ross’s face fell. You had to laugh a little at the upset look on his face.
“I am not wrong.” Monica smiled at her brother.
“You’re wrong.” Ross repeated.
“No. I just talked to them.” Monica proved herself with her evidence.
“I’m calling mom.” Ross threw down whatever he was reading and ran towards the phone to find out whether this devastating news was true or false.
“Hey, baby,” you smiled at Joey as he walked in, but it fell once you saw what was on his face. He tried to place a kiss on your lips but you pulled back out of confusion.
“And this from the cry-for-help department are you wearing makeup?” Chandler asked Joey as Joey took the seat next to you and flipped the chair around.
“Yes I am. As of today, I am officially Joey Tribbiani  actor slash model. Thank you.” Joey explained while thanking Rachel for his cup of coffee.
“That’s so funny because I thought you look more like Joey Tribbiani man slash woman.” Chandler told him honestly.
“What were you modeling for?” Phoebe asked him a serious question, God bless her.
“You know those posters for the city free clinic?” Joey asked all of us.
“Wow! So you’ll be one of those Healthy, Healthy, Healthy guys?” Monica asked.
“You know, asthma guy’s really cute.” Phoebe commented and all the women in group agreed.
“Do you know which one you’ll be?” You asked Joey.
“No,” Joey shook his head. “But I hear Lyme disease is open so…” Joey showed you guys by crossing his fingers.
“Good luck, man. I hope you get it.” Chandler joked. You covered your mouth to hide your laughter when Joey looked over to you, but he managed to pull your hand away from your mouth.
“What? It was funny.” You smiled at him.
“Well, you were right. How could they do this to us?” Ross asked in an outrage.  “It’s Thanksgiving.” He pouted.
“I’ll tell you what. How about we have dinner at my place?” Monica offered to cheer him up. “I’ll make it just like mom’s.”
“Will you make the mashed potatoes with the lumps?” Ross asked specifically.
“You know they’re not actually supposed to have...I’ll work on the lumps.” Monica promised Ross in the end.
“Joey, you’re going home, right?” Monica asked him. He said yes. “And I assume, Chandler, you’re still boycotting all the pilgrim holidays.”
“Yes. Every single one of them.” Chandler joked.
“Y/N, are you like Chandler, do you avoid Thanksgiving like the plague?” Monica asked you. You weakly smiled at her joke.
“I mean I’ve never really celebrated it because of this one,” you gestured toward Chandler.
“Well since it’s not just you want to come over?” Monica asked you with a warm friendly smile.
“Yeah or you can come over to my house with me.” Joey offered while taking your hand.
“Ohhhh, thanks you guys.” You got up from your chair and wrapped your arms around Joey’s shoulders from behind.
“Just let me know by Wednesday, okay?” Monica asked but smiled at how happy just a simple gesture made you. This shows that you should never take family for granted. You nodded for an answer. “And Phoebe, you’ll be with your grandma?”
“Yeah, and her boyfriend but we’re celebrating Thanksgiving in December ‘cause he’s lunar.” Phoebe explained casually no matter how weird it sounded.
“So, you’re free Thursday then?” Monica continued the question that she was going to finish asking before Phoebe’s whole lunar story.
“Oh! Can I come?” Phoebe jumped up in excitement.
“Yes!” Monica answered in the same excited kind of tone. “Rach, are you still thinking you’ll make it to Vail?”  Monica called out her roommate.
“Absolutely, shoop, shoop, shoop.” Rachel made skiing gesture as she made the shoop noise. “Only $102 to go.” Rachel was still smiling despite how much money she still needed to make.
“I thought it was $98.50?” Chandler questioned.
“Yeah it was, but I broke a cup.” Rachel announced the unfortunate news before walking away to continue on with her shift.
“Well, I’m off to Carol’s.” Ross stated as he got up with his coat.
“Ooh! Ooh! Why don’t we invite her” Phoebe asked innocently.
“Ooh! Ooh!’ Because she’s my ex-wife and will probably want to bring her ‘ooh! Ooh!’ lesbian life partner.” Ross explained in Phoebe fashion.

The One With The Blackout Part One: A.T.M Vestibule With Jill Goodacre
Tumblr media
this gif has nothing to with the episode but it makes me laugh so there.
Friends rewrite (masterlist),  Part Four (last episode)
“Everybody,” Rachel called through the microphone on the small stage. It was Phoebe’s first debut at Central Perk and you couldn’t wait to hear her sing. You leaned against the counter next to Joey who sat next to Monica, and Ross stood behind her. “Central Perk is proud to present, the music of Ms. Phoebe Buffay.” Rachel finished introducing her. So you clapped and cupped your hands around your mouth a wooped.
“Hi.” Phoebe greeted her audience. “I want to start with a song that’s about that moment when you suddenly realize what life is really all about. Okay here we go.” Phoebe strummed on her guitar and opened her mouth, but before she could sing anything all of the lights in the building suddenly to go out, causing you to grab Joey’s leather clad arm on instinct. “Okay. Thank you very much.”
“You guys okay?” You asked your friends though you could not see them.
“Great.” Ross answered your question sarcastically. “Can’t see, but great.”
“What now?” Phoebe asked as she slowly and carefully made her way over.
“I guess we go back to the apartment and light some candles.” Monica suggested.
“Oh, sounds romantic, right?” Joey whispered in your ear with his arm wrapped around your shoulder.
“Guys, we don’t need to hear that.” Rachel told us.
“Well, too bad.” You told her. “And yes it does, let’s go.”
*********
“Wow, this is so cool. The entire city’s blacked out.” Rachel commented turning toward us.
“Mom says it’s all of Manhattan, parts of Brooklyn and Queens, and they have no idea  when it’s gonna came back on.” Monica announced to us all. Rachel made her way into the kitchen where Monica was still talking to her mom and Joey and you were lighting candle. In the back of your mind you were worried about Chandler, he should have called one of  you by now. “Pants and a sweater? Why, mom?” Monica asked her mom over the phone. “Who am I gonna meet in a blackout. Power company guys? Eligible looters?” Monica listed off a few. “Can we talk about this later?” Monica asked and she hung up the phone.
“Ah, mom’s,” you smiled with her in fake pain as you crossed your arms over your chest. “Great aren’t they?”
“Can I borrow the phone?” Phoebe asked, getting up from the couch and walking over to us. “I want to call my apartment and check on my grandma.” Phoebe told us as she picked up the phone and put it up to her ear. “Wait what’s my number?” I laughed and narrowed my eyebrows at her. “I never call me.” Phoebe explained making Monica and I sigh in understanding. You walked away from both of them and sat down on the armchair in the living room. Rachel and Joey were there with you, but all you ended up doing was stare off into space. Just getting lost in thought. You never told anyone this because you didn’t want to make it a big deal, but you ended up getting into a beauty school.
“Hey, Y/N,” Rachel called out to you, making you shake your head trying to come back to this planet and reality.
“Yeah?” You asked her.
“Are you okay, you were just staring off into space there?” Rachel asked with a bit of nervous laughter.
“Oh, yeah,” you waved it off laughing it off yourself. “Just a bit lost in thought.”
“Thought about what?” Joey asked, all of a sudden jumping in to the conversation.
“Okay, fine, you know what. It’s exciting so I’m going to tell all of you,” you pointed at all of the people around you in the large room. You had everyone’s eyes on you making you slightly nervous again. “Okay, so I got some mail while you and Chandler were out the other night.”
“What was it?” Joey asked, making your smile grow as you swang your torso side to side.
“I got into a beauty school!” You cheered spreading your arms in excitement.
“What!?” They all cheered out.
“And I got in on a full scholarship.” You cheered again. All of them ran over to you and pulled you into a group hug. When they all pulled away to sit down on the couch and chair Joey pulled you into a seperate hug.
“I am so proud of you. But I knew you could do it.” Joey whispered into your ear. “When these lights come on we are going to celebrate. Again proud of you, baby.” Joey rubbed your shoulders and leaned down to press a kiss to your lips.
“Did you tell Chandler yet, Y/N?” Ross asked you.
“No, I’ll tell him when we see him. Well, if we see him.” You shrugged as Joey pulled you down onto the sofa next to him.
It was a little bit later and Joey got up and left you to get something because he had a good idea. But he walked in you couldn’t help but laugh. He had a menorah in one hand with very tall white candles all lit. His other hand blocking the wind from the flames. “And officiating at tonight’s blackout is Rabbi Tribbiani!” Ross joked making you laugh.
“Well, Chandler’s old roommate was Jewish, and these are the only candles we have. So, happy Hanukkah, everyone.” Joey defended his idea that actually wasn’t terrible.
“Ohh, look. Ugly Naked Guy lit a bunch of candles.” You got up from your chair and ran over to the window to take a look out of curiosity. “Ohh,” you all moaned in disgust. “Ohh!” You all yelled after you saw what just happened.
“That had to hurt!” Rachel yelled.
“No kidding,” you agreed through gritted teeth.
*******
About an hour later Rachel, Phoebe, and yourself were in the living room sipping on wine while Monia and Joey were in the kitchen when the phone rang. “Hey, it’s Chandler.” Monica called over to you, knowing that you were worried about him.
“Great can I talk to him?” You got up from the couch and walked over.
“I’m going to give you to Y/N,” Monica told him over the line before handing it over to you.
“Hey, are you okay? I’ve been worried about you.” You said without so much as a hello, who knew you were such a worrier.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Chandler told you making you be able to breathe again. “I’m trapped in an A.T.M vestibule with Jill Goodacre.” Chandler mumbled something to you over the phone, but he was mumbling so much you had no clue what he was saying.
“What?!” You asked putting a hand to your free ear so that you could hear your brother better.
“I’m trapped in an A.T.M vestibule with Jill Goodacre.” Chandler repeated in the same mumbled voice.
“You’re trapped in an A.T.M mule with Bill Gooaber?” You repeated what you thought you heard him say, but it turns out you were completely wrong.
“Put Joey on the phone!” He yelled at you.
“Hey don’t use that tone with me, but fine.” You snapped back at him. “Joe,” you called for him and he walked over to you putting his hand on your lower back. “Chandler wants to talk to you.” You told him handing him the phone, but you stayed nearby so you could hear what they were going to talk about. Plus you wanted to be close to your boyfriend.
“What’s up, man?” Joey asked your brother as he rubbed your back. All you heard from the other line was the same thing that he mumbled to you, yet you still didn’t understand a word of it. “Oh, my God!” Joey pulled away the phone and blocked the speaking end. “He’s trapped in an A.T.M vestibule with Jill Goodacre!” Joey announced to all of you.
“Ohhhh,” you smiled to yourself at the realization. “That’s what he was saying.”
“Chandler, Chandler listen,” Joey started mumbling stuff back to your brother causing you to be completely lost, you pulled back from Joey, crossed your arms over your chest, and just watched him. After that Joey hung up the phone and turn to see your bewildered look. “What?”
“I don’t think I will ever understand you two,” you said to him. Holding your hands up in defense before walking back towards the living room to sit on the couch.
