Okay, let me check the doodles I did so I don't forget--
For the character ask: Mako with 🏡, 💎, 👀 (+Kurama💜) and ❓ pretty please (❁´◡`❁)💕
Describe your OCs ideal house! Give us a tour around! What’s their garden like? Their bedroom? Kitchen? Where is it and how many people live there? 🏡
I mean… it’s Genkai’s temple. She can’t imagine a better place to be, though she wishes it would be emptier. Then again, when for some reason or another there aren’t many visitors, it feels too quiet, and it annoys her that that bothers her because she swears up and down that she doesn’t like people. She likes the courtyard the best, and you can often find her sitting on the porch at night, staring at nothing in particular. Or so she’d have you believe.
Does your OC collect anything? Is there a reason? When did they start and is it beginning to turn into a little bit of a hoarding issue? What do they do with their collection? 💎
I haven’t been able to mention this yet but yes!! Ever since she moved out of her parents she’s been collecting haoris, and yes, she may have had to buy a few more drawers to store them. She wears them daily when she’s in the temple and is very picky about colors and motifs because they have to match the season.
Describe your OC through the eyes of another person! (bonus + specify who) 👀 (+Kurama💜)
[I decided to rewrite a little bit of the last chapter from Kurama's POV. Not a lot in the way of physical description, but many thoughts about Mako.]
Her steps are spry as she goes up the stairs, even if the luggage she’s carrying is half her size. Kurama is of a half mind to slow down the pace with the excuse of the weight, but he wants to believe he isn’t that childish, and besides, she’d take her things from him if he so much as insinuated that he was being inconvenienced.
He felt privileged to be the last person to see her before she moved in officially, but it was outweighed by the fact that she would be much farther away from now on. They wouldn’t run into each other on the street anymore, or arrange impromptu meetings at the coffee shop after office hours, and he wouldn’t find her randomly at Yuusuke’s ramen stand when he went to catch up with his friend.
She was right beside him, and he was already missing her. Kurama felt like a fool, but nearly twenty years of life as a human had taught him that being one wasn’t so bad as he had always believed.
The sound of Makoto’s suitcase touching the ground after reaching the top of the stairs echoed in his ears with unnecessary finality. This wasn’t a goodbye, and yet…
It was the end of a chapter, and the beginning of a new one for Makoto. One in which he wasn’t sure what place he was supposed to occupy. If it was fair of him to ask for one.
“Here we are,” he sighed, less enthusiastic than he’d hoped to sound.
The winds of the temple suited her. Her long hair blew softly around her face, leaving her pitch black eyes unusually exposed as she took a long look at her new home. They were charming as ever. Kurama had never been one to shy away from the unnerving.
“Indeed.” Though she looked thoughtful, her tone was resolute. Even in the face of uncertainty, she always seemed to know where she was going and what was the right thing to do. Kurama admired her ability to not get bogged down in her own thoughts. He wished he could do the same.
He had to let go. The last few years had been a series of practical exercises on learning to go with the flow, and he thought that there was truth in what Mako told him all that time ago – everything had always led him to a better place, eventually. There was no reason to think that would change.
A random fact or short drabble! Or make up your own question to ask the OC! ❓
The visitors staying at Genkai’s temple really like Doraemon, and he takes to them surprisingly well. Human World animals tend to flee from demons, but Doraemon has been near Makoto for so long that he’s immune to the weird energies. He can be frequently found sunbathing near a window, getting petted, and accepting treats from random people. The demons, in turn, swear up and down that he can understand what they say. He can’t, but all cat lovers are like that. Makoto complains that they’re spoiling him but doesn’t have the heart to stop them.
