friends romans countrymen. my mother has shown me a job opening at a local cookware place. should i quit my job and go there. some fast facts:

pros:

well respected local business (vs my horrid multi million corporate retail gig)

likely better management and clientele (no more weird bosses who like to cut hours and overwork us. and angry customers)

i mean just a better environment overall

learn (more) about cooking (they have lessons that u gotta help out in). which is whatever. i’m a good cook. i don’t know anything about anything. can’t hurt

cons:

less pay by 90 cents. cause student min wage is less than normal min wage which is what i make rn. i mean the pay isn’t THAT much less but like if i’m already complaining at 15.50 an hour then how am i gonna stand 14.60. but a raise after 6 months they say. oh but my mom was like ‘just negotiate in the interview to get your current pay’ god you think i’m a lot braver than i really am 😭😭

i’ll miss my coworkers :( i really do like them and the perk of a big store is i have lots of built in friends

oh on that note the hours are 4 hours during week and 7 on the weekend. currently i’m at 11(?) hours a week i think idk i just dropped a shift lol idr. which is okay idrc either way. they may want more than one shift during the week but like it’s negotiable
