as a russian-ukrainian (whooo fun identity to have rn) this whole thing is being overblown. i understand that ukrainians are upset, that’s fine. but acting as if this is some kind of political statement is absolutely insane, and taking it a step further to hating on any and all russian speakers is also insane (fun fact!! you can’t just cancel out russian nationalism with ukrainian nationalism!! that’s not how it works!!)

also i agree with that other anon i think he was just playing into russian stereotypes. a lot of russians do it as a bit because they ofc know the stereotypes of russians and they think it’s funny
