I feel like it's a missed opportunity in warrior cats to have annoying background characters always going on and on about the threat of ""SPIES"" from other clans, like living in a constant state of paranoia about malicious sneaky agents watching them

but in the POV of any given clan there are never actually any spies??? (at least not that I can remember??) the only time we see characters spying is when it's a protagonist benevolently snooping because they are worried about their friend in another clan, which is not the same thing.

where are these so-called spies. Especially if everyone is so convinced that other clans are sending scouts into their territory to spy, shouldn't they always be retaliating with the same tactic? why isn't this a regular thing, I want leaders to quietly be appointing trusted warriors to the secret spy rank. I just think it would be fun.
