“once upon a time in the past, a golden bird by the heavenly pond gave her a set of blue dress, she has liked that color since then.”
“other than from talking to a few of the golden winged bird by the heavenly pond, she refrained from talking to anyone else."

I think she only was friends with Bai Lin and the giving her a dress was obviously Xi Xuan's high flirting skills XD he wanted to show her how she can look after she stops fighting wars. Ah I see so she was destroying the lotus pond but wasn't that her and Sifeng's special place? I think it was because she found out that she was created from LHJD it's kind of hard to tell because that flashback was hella rushed I was only confused because I thought he only took human form when saving her and
the God of War asked "who are you?" when he saved her from being killed unless that was a double meaning. Also everyone in heaven but Si Feng was trash his father was like yes he's my son but meh I don't ever want to lift my finger this game of go is more important.
Think the timeline was like this:
God of War is created from LHJD's body.
Xi Xuan grows interested in her and starts following her around in his bird form.
The flower incident between the God of War and Bai Lin Di Jun occurs. Xi Xuan helped her out at this point with the dress and stopping her from destroying the lotus pond. The pond was, I think, of sentimental value to Di Jun and LHJD since that was where they drank together (unless that was a different place, which wouldn't surprise me bc everywhere in the sky looks the same). I think any meaning that the pond had to the God of War had less to do with her than it had to do with her connection to LHJD.
God of War discovers her true identity. She immediately confronted Di Jun afterward and was punished for it. Xi Xuan stepped in and saved her life by trading his celestial form for her safety, and on the condition that they would go through ten mortal lives together. Her asking who he was wasn't because she didn't recognize him, but rather out of confusion that someone would help her in such a situation.
I like the Heavenly Emperor because he’s such a lazy, passive asshole and that’s such a realistic trait for someone of his caliber. Pretends to care, but leaves all the decisions to other people because they “have to be responsible for their own actions.” Kind of like all the clans in the mortal realm, and how they all felt holier than thou despite being terrible, terrible people.
Si Feng’s my fav character because he’s just so nice, but my mom reassured me many times that people as kindhearted as him dont exist in real life. :) We are a jaded family lol
#anonymous#asks#ok this is a message but i guess tumblr's having some troubles so it looks like i'm talking to myself#which isn't that far off from my usual vibe tho

Can I ask what the whole reveal is in Love and Redemption? I know I always ask you to spoil shows but I have to know if it's worth watching? I know I'm weird but still. Is that Sifeng dude somehow the Star of Mosha?
Below a cut for those who don't want to know
In the Mirror of Origin, Xuanji sees her downfall as the General. But the King of Heaven erased most of her past, so even the Mirror cannot show her what happened.
It does show Yu Sifeng something though: In nine lives he has loved Xuanji with his entire being. He's killed for her, and died for her over and over and over. Every time he dies, he begs her to remember him. Every time, Xuanji only stares coldly down at him, asks why he thinks she would even care, and walks away to leave him to die abandoned and alone.
Yu Sifeng isn't the Star of Mosha (though he pretends to be at one point). See, the King of Heaven is more of a steward. The one actually in charge is the Jade Emperor. Yu Sifeng is Xi Xuan, the son of the Jade Emperor who only had the form of a phoenix before he fell in love with the Goddess of War.
He was always there for her when she felt lost or alone. She would come and talk to the bird. When the Heavens arrested her and tried to destroy her, Xi Xuan forced himself to take human form, throwing them both from the heavens and into the wheel of reincarnation.
But to Xuanji, it was a random man she didn't know. The phoenix fell in love with her, but to her it was just a bird.
What happened all those years ago was written as the God of War destroying the Star of Mosha. But in the Heavens, there is no record whatsoever of it happening (Xuanji ends up getting the God of Snakes, Teng She, as her familiar. Think Mushu from Mulan if he could back up his talk half the time. Personality wise they're very similar LMAO).
That's because it never did.
The King of Heaven decided to launch a pre-emptive attack on the Asurans, even though they were largely peaceful. He captured the Star of Mosha, and ripped it in two. Its soul he hid in a crystal lantern. But it's spirit he forged into the Goddess of War, then sent her to slaughter the Asuran peoples.
Eventually, the Goddess of War learned she was used to commit total genocide against her own people. But the King of Heaven fell in love with her. So he has been trying to forge Chu Xuanji into a new Goddess so the past as the God of War will be hidden from her forever.
But Xi Xuan by her side will never let that happen.
Eventually they lose the battle, the Star of Mosha is released and it rips Xuanji in two. Sometimes she is female and in control, other times she is male and filled with all that grief and rage and hate from when she found out she'd been used on her own people.
Xuanji and the Star of Mosha are finally separated, her heart ripped in two so that each body has half a glass heart. Xi Xuan is killed in the battle. As Xuanji cradles his body and sobs, the Star of Mosha comes to kneel by her side. He feels her love for Xi Xuan in his half of their heart, and feels bitterly alone.
So the Star of Mosha replaces Xi Xuan's heart with his half of the glass one, choosing to die to save Xi Xuan.
Xuanji and Sifeng (Xi Xuan) return to earth to live as mortals with their family and friends. They have a child, and live happily ever after.
