the “white saviour” argument has no grounds in avatar when it comes to jake sully, dislike the movie for all i care, but y’all throwing around words without understanding them when it comes to that, especially when it literally holds no ground in a fictional world inhabited by 10 feet tall cat-like blue aliens

#dislike/hate the movie cool whatever but stop throwing that word around #jake literally got his ass handed to him quiet a lot and needing saving a lot #in the first movie without eywa sending aid they would of lost #and without neytiri the corporal would of killed jake #not to mention in the second movie jake refuses to go into battle without neytiri #and bc of her and her badass moment of mothers rage she cleared the whole ship and helped get their daughters back #not to mention the corporal gets all freaked out when he sees neytiri’s arrows #like jake helps but he isn’t a white saviour please stop throwing that word around to sound smart of whatever #avatar: the way of water #avatar the way of water #jake sully #neytiri #lo'ak #neteyam #kiri #tuk #avatar 2009
