Who are your FIVE favorite Bloodborne characters and also why? (Yes sorry there are three more to choose from besides Micolash and Laurence 😞)

1. Micolash (to nobody’s surprise)

He was actually not the first bloodborne boss fight I ever saw, but his fight captivated me nonetheless. His design is just so COOL. I can’t get over it. I always saw him as a gigantic meme but then I got into the lore more and realized wow, this character has a lot to him! Medical malpractice, insanity, possible regret, you name it! I always thought his contrast against what I’d heard of Laurence was interesting too, and now that I’m deep in the trenches it just gets better haha.

2. Rom (okay this might be a bit surprising)

As much as I draw other characters, Rom is super close to my heart. Im not the sharpest crayon in the box(and never have been) so her character is very endearing to me: I see her as having been the sort of person who yearns to be useful. To be good at something. Everyone could reassure her that “you don’t have to be smart or talented, you’re kind!” But when you’re surrounded by the extraordinary, the bar of “decent person” just doesn’t cut it. I think she ascended in an attempt to fix this, to be “special” like her peers, and not the sometimes-funny airheaded woman she thinks they take her to be. Also, her design is just very cool x,D

3. Laurence

His character has a lot of sides, which is ironic since he is a dlc boss and has maybe 4 lines of dialogue total lmao. I think that he had good intentions that rotted under the weight of his leadership, and he’s definitely super fun to work with on his own even outside of other character dynamics. If he’s manipulative and bordering on cruel, why is he like that? If he’s sweet but just misguided, why didn’t he give up on the blood before it blew up in his face? Should we feel bad for him? Should we feel angry? There’s a lot to think about- he’s a fun character to both design and interpret!

4. Caryll

I love Caryll’s entire concept, and the Caryll-rune system is particularly interesting to me. I like how many sides there can be to this character! I’ve always been one to heavily reference lore, but not tie myself down to it, so I just like their general vibe and the possibilities of their placement in the story. I’m sure if I stuck to the lore religiously I’d actually like them a bit less, since to me, the mystery around them is a big part of the character! I like to imagine their relations with the others too :)

5. Edgar

This was really hard to pick between him and Damian tbh, I put them at about the same level. Edgar is very flexible as a character but he has solid lore points that can’t be easily ignored, which I really appreciate! His possible dynamic with Micolash is always super interesting and I love the juxtaposition of a very accountant-coded character lugging around Ludwig’s Holy Blade with the full intention to punt you into the moon. As for Damian, I just have a particular soft spot for characters that are “right-hands” to a leader, left to mourn or act in their absence. The coolheaded assistant type has always been appealing to me, and I like that both of them have a very short presence in game but the fandom has widely made them bigger players!

Nope! My mum just liked the meaning of my birth name and had an interest in name meanings. All my new names (yes I have several) have just been because I thought they sounded cool.

Yesterday lol, I started my first ever proper job and was shitting myself with anxiety. It went well though!

I was a dodgeball champion in primary school before I got chronically ill! Played a bit of football too (real football not that poundshop rugby Americans play 😒) and I do miss it a little but not much to be done about it I suppose. I had fun while it lasted!

These stories are very much about growth --as a couple, but also individually! Just think how far Sasha has come since we met her! Jungkook was not initially very challged but as he starts to form his own more distinct identity, there's definitely some hard bumps along the way.

Re-reading the 2nd half of A Cruel God Reigns and I forgot how much Ian and Jeremy argued…it’s basically all they do now. Also seeing Nadia so desperate to be with Ian makes me sad 😞 girl you can do much better but you depend on that man with all your life. Seeing the parallels come to life between Greg and Ian throughout the second half with Greg always being a presence within Jeremy and Ian’s lives is not only showcase of Moto Hagio’s incredible talent at writing but is also deeply uncomfortable to watch play out especially with how similar Ian’s feelings become jumbled up when it comes to Jeremy. I think when I first read this when I was a oncoming Sophomore I didn’t read into it too much but seeing the very clear parallels between not only father and son but Nadia and Sandra too makes me feel stupid for not noticing it before. I think there’s something to be said here that Moto Hagio is trying to express and as a female mangaka probably feels strongly about on the mother and daughter relationship. Sandra and Nadia aren’t the main characters but they highlight something intriguing and important to me on how mother’s can raise their daughters to become insecure and rely on their future partners which usually are men to validate their worth. Sandra comes from a broken home and the grandma who raised her openly stated and told Jeremy that women can’t do anything without a good man and Clare always pressures Nadia and speaks down on her on how much of a fussy woman she is and how men won’t be attracted to it. Nadia herself acts in a manner to be the complete opposite of Clare yet she still takes her mother’s words to loss and puts all her soul into loving Ian. I’m glad she ends up somewhat okay at the end but man mother’s need to stop putting their daughters down! It’s such a sacred bond to me and I could never see my mom ever saying something so hurtful even though she was raised in a household where her surroundings were the same. I feel that so many insecurities in young woman come from the family and having your own parents put you down can really mess you up, just look at Nadia!Anyway that was a long tangent and I’m still not finished reading through. It’s always hard reading in Japanese since my vocab is still elementary school level but thankfully I’ve read this series before in English. I think I also always ignored the love between Ian and Jeremy? When I first read this series I was kind of unnerved at how Ian was acting to Jeremy who just went through all of his horrific abuses and I feel putting him in a position to love is something he isn’t ready for and quite frankly neither is him. But then I started thinking about what Dr. Orson was saying earlier about loving someone and seeing what love truly was. It seems obvious but now maybe I see the function of their relationship. Don’t get me wrong there’s still so much wrong with it but I think there’s a connection between the two that was required for both of them to heal through each other’s love. At least, I think that’s what she was getting at…..

and we learn english at school, from grade 1 up until grade 12 but the level is VERY LOW. we use the same A2-3 or smth levels EVERY SINGLE YEAR so it gets very infuriating as someone who's i guess ahead of everyone else because i know all that stuff already 😭😭😭 and yeah english grammar is a bit confusing but it's nothing compared to russian AND ESPECIALLY GEORGIAN GRAMMAR. as a native speaker,,,, yeah georgian grammar is fucking hell. it may look simple but it's far more difficult than english, german, italian, french & all that jazz :/ its a very difficult langauge overall. sometimes even i'm not fluent in it, that's how difficult the grammar is 😭😭

also grade 8 u was insane bcuz WHY?? WOULD U DO THAT 😞😞 i can't even memorize the name of my own country were you okay??? and yeah our culture is actually very unique and just overall based more on the artistic side. we have our own dances, singing, our own food, clothing and a very very long history. we may be small but we have definitely kept our traditions throughout the centuries and i'm very proud of that, so that stuff is also very hard to get used to when it comes to foreigners visiting or even moving here because it's VERY different from other places. as for the alphabet oH GOD NO ITS DEFINITELY VERY HARD TO LEARN, we spend at least 4 years with different types of textbooks that are specifically made to learn how to write the letters with step-by-step tutorials and guides. we also have some letters shortened a bit like ლ,დ so it's even more confusing for people who aren't fluent to read what we write 😭😭 and as the years pass everyone develops their own calligraphy (which is even more unique because of our strange alphabet) yet we can still somehow understand what the other is writing? it's very weird and definitely not an easy language or an alphabet to learn for foreigners.

ALSO YEAH WHAT IM WRITING IS KINDA?? HEADCANONS??? bulletpoints? idfk atp its a mixture of drabble + headcanon + bulletpoint and i had the time of my life writing it but now im too lazy to proofread (which i probably wont do at the end of the day OOPS) and write for the two members that i have left :///// and i'll give sort of a hint (?) it has smth to do with enhypen and highschool 😋😋 the rest is up to your imagination (well until it's released ofc) its smth that i haven't really done before cuz i usually do normal bulletpoints so it's kinda hard for me but Oh well there's a first for everything and i need to step out of my comfort zone sometimes 😈💪

Please i didn't even felt like i wrote a lot because i was just ranting about how much i loved and enjoyed your last release, like I've read them all on different days without even realizing you were the writer all along and i was like wow they're really good at this every single time, and like the last one was my last straw i loved it so much i really wanted to reach out and tell you about it because i was just mind blown with it, like when I finished it i had to take a couple seconds staring at the ceiling because what the heck did i just read, like it was that level of perfection to me.

I'm really sorry like i feel I'm repeating myself a lot and like I'm kinda scared it would get annoying ,like girl we get it you like this one you don't have to say it hundred times,but like i can't help it I'm truly in love.

Also i'm really glad you found my ranting motivational,like please babe I'm your biggest fan i would write you as much essays as you let me, and it's not like it's a task or anything i truly enjoy your work and want to tell you my authentic reaction every single time.
