Lowkey he's kinda super stupid when he was talking with Jun-Hee but never mind that.

Tw: Manipulation. Mostly it. Just manipulation.

This guy definitely gives the type who acts they're rational and always thinks they're right regardless of what the situation is. I think this was super apparent all throughout the season.

Before the game even starts, he doesn't really notice any of the players. All he thinks about is paying off the debt (but then Thanos and Minggyu start bothering him of course).

It was actually the during the consent forms did he notice you first. You were right in front of him. He couldn't help but note you look kind of interesting. He doesn't try talking to you like Thanos would though.

He notices you more during Red Light, Green Light. Especially when Player 196 first gets killed. For some reason, he feels a little protective over you. Maybe because he notices your terrified expression and how you look like you're about to cry.

He doesn't know you, but he quickly shoves you behind him. He doesn't interact you for the rest of the game. Just on his way to win. He occasionally puts his arm behind him to make sure you stop.

He doesn't really do anything during voting time. He won't try to influence your decision unlike Thanos. But he does take note of whatever decision you try to make.

Skipping to the 2nd game, he teams up with you in order to ensure your safety. He’s noticed much more how vulnerable you are. It’s pitiful. But he knows why. So he teams up with you.

“Hey, you don’t have a team yet right? Join mine. You’ll be safer.”

By the 2nd voting, if you aren’t picking O, then he’ll gently coax you. He insists on all sorts of evidence and stuff. Essentially trying to sound smart.

“Do you want to die? Do you want to disappear off the earth with only debt to your name? Then hit X. Around XX% of people die with debt every year.”

The 2nd meal time, he talks to you more. He subtly pats your shoulder or head if you’re freaking out. Or if you’re hidden enough he’ll tug you closer. Warning you to not do anything stupid. That if you want to survive, you need to stick with him.

“That Thanos bastard won’t hesitate to let you die.”

By the 3rd game, he’s tugging you along everywhere. He doesn’t really care who or what. As long as you survive (and himself of course). He becomes much more aggressive about keeping you safe.

“Don’t follow them. They’re gonna push you out!”

All in all, he just hides you or just mostly manipulates you into thinking he’s the rational, smart one. That you need to stick with him because he’s reliable.

Ah we love a good manipulative man. Anyway, he’s like the opposite of Thanos, which makes their interactions so much funnier.

LMAO I thought this version of the myth existed only in Bulgarian folklore.

I know nobody asked, but Bulgarian version of the myth is too hilarious for me not to talk about it.

Very important two things: in all Balkan countries, Bulgaria included, the dragon in question is always female AND she has human like intelligence and she can talk.

So, The city of Troem was full of sinners and because of that God decided to be a dick and make all the wells go dry. However, people could access water if they fed the dragoness that He put in the nearby lake. And because the dragoness was in the lake, the water from it also had healing properties, so people wanted it.

But the dragoness was a bitch and she ordered people to sacrifice "one girl per day" for her to eat.

And so, people had to feed the dragoness one girl per day and that lasted for a while until they ran out of girls and the only one left was the princess. Now this princess was also the only person in the town who believed in Jesus Christ and that's why when she arrived to the lake, God sent St George to her.

So St George comes on his white horse and swears that he'll save the princess from the dragon. But he for some reason gets sleepy and lays in her lap and tells her to wake him up when the dragon comes.

The dragoness eventually comes and he, naturally doesn't wake up (even though Bulgarian mythology describes dragons as unbelievably loud creatures that are so large that they can swallow a man on a horse whole), so the dragoness gets all excited and says: "Damn, all these years I've been receiving only one sacrifice per day and today I get three: a girl, a man and a horse!"

That scared the princess and she started crying and her tears hit St George's face, so he wakes up and starts a fight with the dragoness. She tried to eat him right on the spot, but he placed his spear vertically in her mouth, so she wasn't able to close it.

The princess decided that it would be a good idea to take the dragoness to court (yes, her father was the one in charge of it) and both St George and her were cool with it, so he tied the princess' kerchief to the dragoness as a collar and they walked her to the city of Troem.

When the king saw them, he thought that it was a trick, but St George prayed to God and God made the dragoness throw up all the people that she ate and they began to dance the traditional dance called "kolo" in the court.

"So, do you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord now?" asked St George. "Because if you don't, I'll let the dragoness eat you and everyone else in the city!"

And so the king accepted Christianity and the water returned to the wells and everything was normal.

We have no idea what happened with the dragoness, but there is one version of this myth where St George proposes to the princess and she refuses, so my headcanon is that the princess kept the dragoness to deter creepy men. (and also to have gay sex with her because Slavic dragons all have a super sexy human form and it was believed that they were so good in bed that whoever had sex with a dragon would never want to touch a human again.)

hey, so i know that these kinds of posts have been flooding the jinx x reader tag lately, but i wanted to give my piece. i have a new jinx fic in the works, keep an eye out for that :)

i don’t write for men, and i never have. i’ve never seen why i would, considering that i’m a lesbian. i also never have seen why they would want to read my fics, seeing as they’re not the target audience.

my mentality when i see most female character x male reader fics is neutral. it’s not for me, why would i care? if men want to have their own spaces in the community, good for them, it doesn’t affect me. if they’re not writing about canon, confirmed lesbians, it really doesn’t matter. as much as i headcanon characters, everyone has their own headcanons as well. and most of all, these characters aren’t real. if lgbt representation isn’t being taken and it’s not something illegal being written about, why does it matter? do people not have lives outside of tumblr?

in my opinion, misandry doesn’t exist and never will. misogyny kills women, while misandry hurts men’s feelings at worst. in just the us, women were not granted no-fault divorce or the right to have a bank account in their own name until less than 100 years ago. women are having their reproductive rights threatened to this day. several countries are facing femicides- spain, turkey, and greece to name a few. women fear for their lives when driving, when walking after dark, when in the workplace. women are excluded from industries that have anything to do with STEM, along with many others.

not to mention the transmisogyny many of the men attacking writers have spewed. trans women, especially black trans women are one of the most threatened groups. trans women ARE women, point blank period. someone writing a character as trans does not cancel out the fact that they’re still a woman.

i purposely chose to attend a women’s college so that i wouldn’t have to fear for my safety when walking around campus or to my residence hall. that wasn’t the only reason, but it was a major factor. i’m constantly paranoid when i’m in an uber. i’m afraid to say no to men when flirted with in fear that they’ll act violently.

to reiterate: misandry does not exist. this is fanfiction, and if you’re so upset that the majority of arcane x reader fics are wlw, you’re more than welcome to write your own and make your own spaces, just like we have. but calling us delusional and throwing slurs will only make us want to include you less.

It takes a lot of time for him to let anyone love him at all. A LOT of time.

Touch would have to be his number one, though. He mostly hates to be touched by people, but once he has a taste of gentle touches, he can’t get enough

For the longest time, the only touch he got was being beaten, shoved, pulled, and manhandled. Enter his military career. Now, any intent to touch is intent to harm

Enter you. Whether it be brushing a hand across his shoulders as you pass, nudging him when something is funny, squeezing his hands or shoulders in reassurance, wrapping yourself in his arms, or wrapping him in yours, your touches have only ever sought to bring comfort to one or both of you

It goes both ways. Once upon a time, his hands were only for hurting other people. But now that he’s been shown physical love, it’s his favorite way to show love, too

Anytime he can, he wants to be touching you, he’ll put his hand on your back, his arm around your shoulders, or his personal favorite: have you curled up in his lap

Just the fact that you WANT to be close to him makes him feel safe and wanted and loved

He’s confident enough, but there’s something about being told when he’s doing things right that really sets his mind and heart at ease

Whether it be on mission or at home, he likes to know he’s not off-base when he thinks he’s done things right

Part of why he and Price are so close is that Price always lets him know how he’s doing

Nothing boosts his confidence like you appreciating him vocally, whether it be for helping you cook or clean or doing the grocery shopping

Obviously, there’s one area of home life that vocal praise means even more

One of his favorite things is coming home to you to hear “I missed you” and “I’m so glad you came back to me”

“I love you” undoes him every time, and it’s his favorite thing to say to you. It isn’t said lightly

He loves with words of affirmation, too

“This meal is delicious” and “thank you for doing my laundry” and “I’m so grateful to have you in my life” are common phrases in your home

John Price

John is old-fashioned. Acts of service are his favorite way to be loved, and gift-giving is his favorite way to give love

With his team, he always makes sure they have the things they need to be comfortable on mission (tea to calm Ghost’s, earplugs so Gaz can sleep, puzzles or some such to occupy Soap’s idle hands)

With you? Birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s? You’ll be getting flowers on every one

You’ll probably get flowers just sending him to the grocery store, too

When he travels, he picks up various little things for you he thinks you’ll like

When you need something done, he does it

He does whatever his team needs, too. On or off mission

i have like. such mixed feelings on the medic leo headcanon, coming from someone that has used it in pretty much all of his work so far. me and the medic leo headcanon are in an off-and-on relationship and every time i think we're done for good its outside my door with a boombox in the pouring rain and i feel like i hate myself a little when i take it back. it fucks like a champ though which makes it KIND OF worth it

cause like. i really think its an implementation thing that frustrates me more than anything else. to give leo a special THING feels like it disregards such a core facet of his character, that being that he doesn't have one and he feels like the others do. "face man" feels like overcompensating. initially, "leader" feels like too much, and it feels like something he TOOK from raph. there's really an implication that he feels like his brothers are SOMETHING without him, but he's NOTHING without them, and he directly states the second part. (so he overcompensates and acts like they do need him)

i think to make this an early-in-his-life practice kind of throws that out the window. leo taking this up when he's young doesnt fit him, i dont think, especially because i see him as a very.... high wisdom low intelligence kind of character. good street smarts terrible book smarts, and that's kind of apparent by him being so clever and intuitive while also taking stupid dares and making actively reckless decisions to look cool lmao. he would swallow a whole bottle of shampoo because mikey told him to and then be confused why he's in the medbay and raph is yelling at him like ten minutes later

HOWEVER. i think it is a very good way to explore some of the nuances of him that actually MAKE him a good leader, once he steps into that role. leo is a people person. he knows his family, he pays attention to them, he knows how to manipulate them and it would make him a diligent eye in the field. things dont get past him and it makes it hard to hide when theyre in pain from him. he's the most likely to be like "cool, i dont give a fuck" when they try to dismiss injuries. he'll happily make it an argument if he has to; he'd be as stubborn as a mule when it comes to their well-being, and he's more calculative than he looks, which means raph and donnie's usual tactics of dismissal and deflection hit a wall when he puts his foot down on something.

so really i just go out of my way to not make it something EXCLUSIVE to him when its included (and i always go out of my way to make it recent, because why would they have a designated medic who they already know to go to when the concept of crime-fighting was NEVER something they thought would really happen?). it makes the most sense to be something that STARTED with donnie, considering he refers to resuscitating piebald as "my science"; medicine is included in the field of what he enjoys and invests in. donnie is a jack of all trades in anything he can get his grubby little hands on, but ive always seen him as squeamish, which gives a good reason for leo to get involved.

but i think leo would always underestimate his capability despite lots of hands-on experience, even though hands-on is literally how he learns instead of reading books and studying like donnie does. no matter how diligent and practiced he is in the field, he's still not exclusive in it, and it doesnt feel like something that IS a big thing to him. so he can do a few stitches, big deal. donnie and splinter can already do that! who cares? raph and mikey probably could too if they actually paid attention to any of donnie's yap-sessions. no matter how much he boasts about how much they need their cool brother to patch them up, he doesn't believe it, even as he gets better and better and better.

it also gives him the opportunity to really come to face how meaningful it actually is, and to be appreciated for that, especially if donnie is out of commission and he actually gets to utilize that strength. doomed timeline angst potential right there.

I've been thinking about older fandom culture, and how people would do fic reviews and rec lists. And often you get very nuanced mixed reviews on how the writer handled setting and characterization and grammar. This kind of curative experience both bring visibility to writers and help other readers. But more importantly, it keeps people in the habit of 1) engaging with fics, 2) engaging with fic reviews. This keep the language to meaningfully engage with fiction in public consciousness and gives the permission to do so.

I sometimes feel like people are unwilling to talk about my fics (well, fics in general) unless they're paying me compliment. And it feels lonely, actually. I write fanfics cause I have thoughts to share and then everyone just claps in silence or tell me nice things. But like. Did that stir other thoughts in you??

Idk. I wanna see your own headcanons that this fic brought up/touched upon. I wanna see what other ideas this fic inspired in you. When I put a vague symbolism and/or double meaning in a sentence I want to see you dissect what you think it means, even if it's not what I meant. When you feel puzzled or haunted or baffled by a line you can just ask follow-up questions. No. Really. You can reply with questions. "Why did you write that?" I'd love to tell you.

Some writers will not like that. Some writers only want compliments because they made a labour of love. But we cannot began to meaningfully connect with people if we're afraid of offending each other without even trying.

Idk. I should take my own advice. I try. But I can't change the culture and I can't expect others to treat my work the same way.

It's okay to engage with what you're reading.

I see a lot of posts about people worried about engaging with fanfic. They are nervous, worried about offending someone or don't know what is appropriate.

I'm here to tell you to PLEASE engage with fanfic! As long as it's positive, please do it.

Fanfic is not like social media. You don't have to be scared of showing your appreciation for it. Think of fanfic like a database of content like a library, and less like the feed on your social media that is in (somewhat) backwards chronological order.

Comment on everything you read. Comment on every chapter if you want to. As long as it's positive, comment! You can post a single emoji. You can post a 300 word essay of what you loved. You can write the comment in your first language, even if that's different to the language is written in. It's okay.

Give kudos. Tell the author you want to give more kudos in the comments. It's okay.Reply to your readers. Even if the comment is from a while ago. It's okay.

Subscribe. Tell the author you read the update after you got the email. It's okay.

Bookmark fics. Write comments in your bookmarks. It doesn't matter what you write in your notes. It's okay.

Follow your author on social media. Reblog things, even the things posted ages ago. Ask them questions. It's okay.

It doesn't matter if the fic was posted an hour ago, a week ago, or a decade ago. Time has no meaning. Engagement (again, as long as you keep it positive) is so incredibly welcome and needed.

Nerd Headcanons because this post was only supposed to be about one but I went a little wild-

I headcannon Richie as Aroace(Asexual, Demi-romantic), so I like to imagine Grace befriending him due to his lack of interest, and then becoming borderline obsessed with him due to how completely abstinent he is, meanwhile he's just like, "Why are you even here? Go away"

I also headcannon that Ruth is the only reason Richie and Pete were even friends. The way I picture it is that Ruth and Pete had to do a math assignment together in middle school, and they weren't really working together, more like working around each other, and all the sudden Pete makes a dumb Star Wars reference and Ruth flips out. Like, she's so excited that she completely lights up and starts rambling to him about her headcannons and ships, and Pete just sits there kinda stunned until she brings up a headcannon that he actually thinks is interesting, So all the sudden the two are just having a conversation about the things that make the headcannon so good, and they get so invested in the conversation that they don't finish the assignment before the end of class, so Ruth invites Pete to sit with her a lunch the next day. So he goes to sit with her, and there's this blue haired weeb(idc if its not canon, Richie had a blue hair phase) who's arguing with her, when the weeb notices Pete and shoots him the nastiest, bitchiest look on the planet, and Pete's just like "i^i". And Ruth introduces Pete as her math buddy and starts talking about their Star Wars convo, and Richie goes on a rant about how Star Wars is stupid and Pete starts arguing his points, and is turns into an actual fight. And then later Ruth is talking to Pete later in class and Pete's like "Hey, Your friend sucks-" and Ruth is like "Yeah, he's such a bitch. Don't worry, I put pickle juice in his monster this morning" and Pete's just like "Wtf bro, what is your friendship-"

And the reason that Richie and Ruth are friends is because in elementary school, Ruth used to eat glue and Richie used to doodle girls in pretty dresses so he got picked on. So Ruth just kind of adopted him as her friend, and they just naturally developed a sibling like bond over time.

I also headcannon that Ruth's parents were also nerds, and they like nerdy shit things and are super supportive(Ruth and Esther would totally get along. They're Cousins or siblings, take your pick), But Richie has a weird dynamic with his family, where he's not really understood by them so he gets more territorial over his interests, and Ruth understands that so she lets him ramble about whatever he wants, even if he's kind of being a dick about it. I also Headcannon that Richie was actually on the swim team for a while(I grabbed that headcannona from someone else), and was way more chill being able to connect with others, but Max saw Kyle talking to Richie after swim practice before a football game, and he started spreading rumors that Richie was gay, and eventually he dropped out due to harassment.

Pete and Riche would've gotten along way better while Richie was on the swim team, and they probably considered themselves actual friends, but as Richie lost his feeling of belonging on the Swim team, their relationship would've deteriorated again, but Pete would've realized that he's just abd angst fucking bitch and hated him less for it.

Ruth totally looked into swimming the minute Richie said he was into it, and she totally helped him practice outside of school. She was the one cheering the loudest for him at meets, and she'd yell at him like a coach when they practiced together.

Ruth probably has people telling her to shut up all the time, so she's a fiesty little shit when it comes to clapbacks. She can think of them fast and on point, and likes to make a game out of it. Unfortunately, you cant do that on stage, so she feels helpless to defend herself and thats why she has such bad stage fright. She's probably a really, really good actor, too. I imagine her being able to break down sobbing like her baby was hit by a car, only to smile and bow Meer seconds later. She's probably fucking wonderful.

The idea came out when I was brainstorming comics ideas, but I only got this funny drawing:

Then I got an idea: “a comic where Bob got badly injured and One heal his scars, that’s sound like an amazing idea”.

Buuuut, I was brainstorming the ideas of how the comic should go A particular idea made me realize this work better as a fic, I say: “fuck the comic, let’s make a fanfic”.

Can’t remember if the idea that Bob could get badly injured in one of his business was based in Guns Don’t Scare Me from @briandraws, but I do know I have a few bomg1 fics from him as reference for descriptions and other stuff once I did the english translation.

Bob bring back the nickname of “pretty eyes” to One, is a reference to Glowing Eyes.

Instead of Smg2 going by himself to find some pills for Bob, originally it was Smg1 who sent him.

Hal overworking himself is a common thing I found out scrolling in both Blu and Bear profiles, bring by IzBiz.

With “fresh scars” I really wanna implied that Shroomy already have some previous scars, another call back to Blu because she was the one who have the idea of Shroomy having scars for the bear encounter.

Junior being in scouts is actually an idea from Potato, which cool idea.

In the scene when Shroomy and Hal went to the office of the police officer, there was meant to be a scene where Shroomy looked at the picture frame that was on the desk, which was a family picture of Hal, his wife, and Junior. Cut off for unknown reasons.

Shroomy, Hal, Karen, Swag, and Chris being friends is a personal headcanon of mine. Also, Hal leaving Junior to Karen to take care of him is my favorite headcanon, and Brian and I share the same brain cell lmao.

Nightmare and Comfort (BadgeHunter)

Idea that I got when I wake up at 7 am. Which the general idea was Hal comforting Shroomy about a nightmare/memory from his past.

This is time I used @bear-boi-5 headcanon about how the aftermath of the bite was. Nothing like Shroomy told in Mario Babies, of course.

I decided that Anti would have control of the body, mostly because he was the most affected of the accident for obvious reasons, also I love Anti, so I would used this opportunity.

I have to avoid mentioning any alcoholic drinks name, because I drink but I have zero idea what are they, soooo… yeah only beer was mentioned because is the one with less alcohol by volume, at least what this post say.

Anti laughing when he gets drunk, is actually based in one of the effects that happened to me.

The dynamic between Anti and Hal is quite complicated, considering the personality of Anti. They tolerate each other and they have to resolved their differences because of Shroomy and Hal hanging out more.

Important to say that after this, Anti would start having feeling for Hal after he understand what Shroomy see on him. Would this cause problems? Not sure, but until further notice, probably yes :)

Vere

|🩰| Vere is certainly worried about you after not seeing you for a few days. You’re typically with him as often as you get the chance, why have you been practically missing?

|🩰| Asks around- Ais, Mhin, Leander, god forbid he’d even get over his hatred of Kuras for a second in order to find out where you are. He really does fear that you’ve gotten kidnapped or gone missing

|🩰| You can imagine his relief when you have simply been in your room the entire time. Sure, he is still incredibly worried about you isolating yourself- but that is a welcome alternative to you having been kidnapped or worse. (He wouldn’t be shocked, given his status as a slave you may as well have a target over your head.)

|🩰| Vere has been around for a long time, he’s certainly picked up on lock picking skills. Typically he’d ask to enter your room, but by this point he is so desperately worried about you he wouldn’t even bother trying to coax you out. What if you’re dying in there?

|🩰| Vere doesn’t strike me as the type to be afraid of you upon finding out you’re a vampire- quite the opposite, really. He has quite a long life span (immortality counts as long, right?), and with you being a vampire, you would likely have a longer one as well.

|🩰| Of course, he’s incredibly interested in finding you attacked you and turned you into a vampire, it must have really hurt you.

|🩰| “(Name), you look like you haven’t eaten in fucking weeks!”

|🩰| Runs up to you, grabbing your chin gently and making you look at him. Vere isn’t the type to plead with people, nor would he plead with you. You need to eat, after all! He doesn’t want you to object.

|🩰| He finds his ways to get you to eat, offering himself up (though he isn’t a human, so that may only help enough to hold you over temporarily). He’d assure you it’s fine the entire time, he’s surely been bit before (given his monster form seems to be a wolf. Those things are mean), he wouldn’t mind repeating it again for you.

|🩰| Vere would play dirty in order to get you to eat, mixing blood into your drinks secretly at the Wet Wick, putting it in food, maybe even getting Kuras to find pills (he HATES Kuras, but would totally be civil for a few moments to help you)

|🩰| Lowkey might find it kind of hot, but that’s a discussion for once you’re more accustomed to being a vampire.

Leander

|🩰| Leander is also incredibly worried about you, but does find you much more quickly than any of the other LI’s would (save perhaps Kuras.)

|🩰| Once he does make his way into your room, he is incredibly concerned with your physical state (and your mental state, you do not seem to be doing well in the slightest)

|🩰| Leander, like Vere, would be incredibly interested in finding the person that did this to you. He wouldn’t be the person handling them though, he’d send others after them so he could care for you.

|🩰| Leander was born a human, so his blood is exactly what you need to feed on.

|🩰| He’d have absolutely no problem letting you feed on him. If it’s the biting that concerns you, he’d even prick his own skin In order to get the blood out. Anything to get you to eat like you need to.

|🩰| Would also mix the blood into your drinks in order to get you to have a little extra of his blood isn’t enough.

|🩰| He does look into finding a potential reversal if you are unhappy with your form, likely to no avail. He certainly would make an effort though, that’s what matters.

|🩰| Makes small adjustments to the way he does things, plans outings with you, and other things after you turn into a vampire. Sensitive to sunlight? You can go out more at night, he wouldn’t mind staying up a few extra hours for you.

|🩰| Doesn’t necessarily find it hot (he is nowhere near as freaky as Vere), but Leander certainly wouldn’t find it unattractive. He loves everything about you, vampire or not.

Ais

|🩰| His first fear is that you are dead somewhere. Like Vere, being involved with Ais may put a pretty large target over your head if he makes the wrong move.

|🩰| Would definitely find you rather quickly, he literally would not sleep until he knew that you were safe.

|🩰| So as you can imagine, by the time he finds you he’d be absolutely exhausted and incredibly worried about you. All of this combined may make him a little bit brash with his word choices when it comes to you. (Though he would certainly make up for it afterwards by any means)

|🩰| He will get you to eat and won’t take no for an answer. Sits there for hours if he has to explain exactly why you need to eat.

|🩰| “no, (name), I’m not watching you starve because you’re too afraid to feed on anyone!”

|🩰| It’s a good thing he doesn’t mind people having a bit of an attitude with him, otherwise you being short with him over the idea of feeding would likely make everything much worse.

|🩰| Like most of the people on this list, Ais would also offer himself up for you to feed on him. Along with this, he’d send Mhin out to kill some animals and get their blood. If you won’t eat human blood, he’d get animals instead. (I’d assume animal blood is similar to being a vegan as a human, you’d most likely need vitamin supplements of some sort.)

|🩰| He would certainly find it somewhat attractive. But more importantly, you being a vampire would probably give you a better way to defend yourself. He’d sleep a little more soundly knowing that you’d be able to protect yourself without him.

Mhin

|🩰| They notice your lack of presence rather quickly, looking around in your usual spots to find you. Anywhere you like visiting, shops, the clinic.

|🩰| Mhin is not all too panicked- panicking only makes it harder to find someone, after all. It ultimately works out, because they would find you in your room rather quickly after realizing your lack of presence.

|🩰| Mhin wouldn’t make any brash choices when it comes to trying to find the person who did this to you. Sure, they would ask around a little bit, but they know better than to go around picking a fight with a vampire who had already turned at least one person.

|🩰| Wouldn’t be super great with comforting you verbally. Instead, they’d probably hold your hand or sit next to you while you tell them everything you want to. They’d understand if you don’t want to say everything, eventually you will if you are comfortable enough.

|🩰| Because of their curse, Mhin wouldn’t feel comfortable letting you feed on them in case it would affect you negatively. Instead, they’d go out to find animals rather often in order to sustain you.

Kuras

|🩰| Regrettably, Kuras would be the slowest to figure out that you are missing. A large portion of that is because of how busy he is with the clinic. It’s rare he has time to see you in the first place, but after a few days of your absence he’d connect the dots rather quickly.

|🩰| He’d be the fastest to find you (after he found out you were missing) among all of the LIs. Partially because he’s an omnipotent angel and surely knows a lot, but also because he knows you quite well.

|🩰| Not super good at handling your emotional state after he finds you. Kuras unfortunately has never done well at understanding the problems of others, which may make him come off a bit cold.

|🩰| You would notice him doing a lot more things for you afterwards, asking how you’re feeling more often. You can tell that Kuras genuinely does worry for you, he just cannot express it verbally.

|🩰| Kuras cannot allow you to feed off of him, seeing as vampires are unholy creatures by nature and he himself is the embodiment of holiness. There may be no issue, however he does not want to risk harming you.

|🩰| On this note, there are very few things that Kuras is unsure about given how long he’s been alive, this being one of them. He does not want to find out if it comes at the expense of you.

|🩰| He’s a doctor and has access to plenty of blood through transfusion bags, blood draws, etc. He’d begin taking just a little extra blood from his patients to store for you, only giving it to you once he knows it’s safe(void of diseases), of course.

|🩰| Kuras has met his fair share of vampires during his time on earth, but does not see the harm in researching a little bit more in order to better care for you.

|🩰| He does examine you physically once you are ready, making note of any changes that could have occurred since you turned.

|🩰| Kuras certainly doesn’t find it attractive or weird (simply put, he doesn’t really care.) it doesn’t change you as a person. He feel in love with you, not with what you are.

- Cal is awful at taking care of himself, but Andre knows that it's often not a mistake. He just doesn’t care enough to fix it. His clothes are always wrinkled, his hair a mess and dirty, and he never gets enough sleep. Andre is the opposite. He takes care of the little things, even when it feels pointless

- Cal does not know how to apologize at all whatsoever. When he messes up, he’ll give this half-assed awkward “sorry” that sounds more like he’s annoyed than sorry. Andre will forgive him anyway, he knows Cal doesn’t do feelings the same way that everyone else does. Cal often doesn't even actually feel sorry, he doesn't know why people get offended by things

- Cal’s always getting into trouble because he’s impulsive, and Andre’s always the one picking up the mess, even though he’s not the one who caused it💀. He does it without thinking, always making sure Cal gets out of whatever he’s dragged into, even if it means he gets into trouble himself. It’s like they have an unspoken rule like "I’ll save your ass and you’ll save my ass in return", but Andre never does anything that will get him in a lot of trouble, but if he does, Cal initiated it

- Andre’s the first one to call Cal out when he’s being an idiot, but Cal never gets too offended. It’s like they both know that whatever’s happening it’s temporary and they’ll get over it. It’s rare for either of them to actually hold a grudge. They get on each other’s nerves but at the end of the day they’ve learned to just go with it

- Cal’s favorite way of making Andre laugh is by doing stupid impressions of teachers, making fun of their mannerisms and voices in the most exaggerated way possible. Andre always rolls his eyes but can’t help but laugh because Cal’s spot-on. He tries not to show it, but deep down, he’s impressed by how good Cal is at imitating people

- Andre never wants to be the center of attention, but Cal will drag him into it anyway. He’ll make jokes at Andre’s expense, but not in a mean way, more like a way to bring them both into the spotlight, just to see how Andre reacts. It’s funny to Cal but Andre hates it even though he secretly loves it when it means he’s not invisible

- They have an odd way of communicating without words especially when they’re caught in dangerous situations. A look from Cal, a subtle gesture, and Andre knows exactly what’s coming next. No words are needed, they’ve gotten so used to this silent connection that sometimes it feels like they’re sharing one mind

- Cal RARELYYY sleeps, and when he does, he tosses and turns all night. Andre’s the only one who’s ever seen him fall asleep fully, completely at peace for just a few moments. It’s a rare thing but when it happens Andre watches quietly, wondering if that’s who Cal used to be, before everything got so messed up.

- They both keep a journal, but not for writing. For drawing. They both have scribbles, random sketches of things that are important to them but hard to explain. Cal’s drawings are chaotic, rough sketches of things he’s too afraid to put into words. Andre’s are calmer, more detailed, full of hidden meanings. They would rather off themselves then let anyone see their journals

- Andre’s the first to notice when Cal’s drinking too much, and it worries him more than anything. Cal won’t show it, won’t admit it, but Andre knows the signs. He knows it’s just another way Cal deals with the chaos in his head. Andre doesn’t know how to help him but he’ll always stay close, ready to intervene when it gets too much

- Cal’s weirdly protective of Andre, but it’s subtle. He’ll pick fights with people who mess with him and he won’t even think twice. Andre notices it but he never says anything. It’s not something that needs to be talked about it’s just a part of their silent agreement to keep each other safe

Let me start by saying that I adore your meta. It's some of the most thorough, well-reasoned hp analysis I've come across & you have a talent for tenderly mining and polishing canon connections I've never considered. You've put into words so many of my feelings about drarry, hinny, and the characters as a whole -- why I love them, why I struggle with them, and why they still compel me after all these years. I'm slowly chipping away at your blog and won't stop until I get to page 1 I've found myself very taken with the Slytherins lately--especially characters like Millicent and Daphne, who are either offhand names or caricatures, as well as some of the older Slytherins we see mentioned, who seem to stay largely out of the war (or at least aren't important enough to it for a mention). There are a lot of widely accepted fanon personalities/interpersonal dynamics for the Slytherins, and they're always fun to delve into. But I often find myself struggling to separate canon from fanon. Do you have any thoughts on what we can extrapolate about the Slytherins in canon (apart from "mean, ugly, & stupid/vapid" as jkr describes nearly every Slytherin but Draco)? And if not, do you have any blogs/posts to recommend on the topic?

Wow. What can I even say. I've been staring at this ask since I received it feeling so warmed by your words. Thank you very much for such high compliments. It always thrills me to hear that people get some enjoyment/mental stimulation out of this blog and that my little ramblings are of interest to others.

To some extent, since the other Slytherins aren't that well developed (due to the fact that Harry was too busy constantly staring at Draco to notice anything about them - I mean he literally doesn't even know Theodore Nott's NAME till he sees him spending more time with Draco) there's a lot of room for people to come up with their own interpretations of their personalities.

That said, there is some info in canon we can go off of. For example, we see Pansy hanging out with Draco a lot more than Millicent or Daphne. We also know that none of their parents were Death Eaters. And given that Millicent and Daphne seem to stay away from Draco more later, maybe their families aren't quite as into the whole blood purist stuff as Pansy and her family are. Especially Daphne does not seem to really participate in any of the bullying we see a lot of the Slytherins take part in.

Personally, I always headcannoned that Daphne never liked Draco very much and that while she did hold some anti-muggle and anti-muggleborn biases (similar to those held by most of the wizarding world), her attitudes were more on the level of those held by Fudge or Crouch and she never actually went in for any of the extremist blood purist beliefs or supported the Death Eaters or even had attitudes as extreme as Walburga Black (who thought the Death Eaters mostly had the right idea even if they went about it the wrong way). I also think she didn't much like the pettier behaviors Draco engaged in - the boasting, the bullying, the mockery, not to mention the weird Potter obsession - (or that the people Draco hung out with engaged in). I think she probably found him stuck up and arrogant and vaguely unsavory and tended to avoid him, even if she wasn't as horrified or enraged by him using slurs like Mudblood as someone like Ron or Harry would be.

I like the idea that after the war she and her sister changed their minds about their beliefs about muggles and muggleborns - even if they were never quite as extreme to begin with as those held by some. I headcanon that they two of them were both back at Hogwarts during Draco's 8th year - and that they actually ended up striking up a friendship - once the realized that he'd changed. After all, they were housemates for years. Plus they ran in similar social circles. And they all changed their minds, so that's a common bond. Daphne tells Draco point blank that she always thought he was a stuck up twat and Draco agrees that he was, which breaks the ice.

As for Pansy, I actually think she was more of a hanger on than a true friend. I thinks he and Draco drifted apart in 7th year. I don't especially like characterizations that whitewash the bad things she did - either the bullying or the bigotry or the "rying to hand harry in to Voldemort thing - or that turn her into some ooc mary sue girlboss with no personality other than being a genius who is great at everything and also getting to be mean with no consequences because she's so cool so no one cares I guess. That's not to say I don't enjoy fics with Draco/Pansy friendship if it's done right. But yeah, based on actual canon I see her moving on to the next person once Draco's fortunes were shown to have irrevocably fallen by book 7. Plus it's arguable that she always expected to marry Draco since he was the best match (thru book 6 anyway) but that she always secretly harbored feelings for Blaise. And after the war she got to act on that. After all, in the train scene in book 6 she seems awfully interested in what girls Blaise likes.

For Millicent we have even less. We know she was a bully. I don't like seeing that ignored or seeing her girlbossified. I do like the idea of her going thru her own little redemption arc and trying to make something of herself. I also imagine that she and Draco kind of drifted apart though. I think she ever became a completely nice person, but I like the idea of her apologizing to Hermione and them ending up at the Ministry together and kind of tolerating each other - just one of the many instances of strange, uncomfortable relationships that pop up in the post-war wizarding society as it tries to put itself together.

As for Crabbe & Goyle, I really hate how often fandom seems to forget or gloss over the fact that both of them were actively participating in torturing other students and seemingly very into it. I think the way Draco treated them - as henchmen/servants - always grated on them but they accepted it due to the relative statuses of their families. When the power dynamic between them shifts though, starting book 6 but really post book 6, they seem to revel in Draco's degradation and fall from grace (and we even see hints of that earlier, like them laughing when Draco gets beaten up by Harry in book 5 and not intervening). I find that super fascinating, and I think they are darker, more twisted characters than people tend to give them credit for. Given all this, I don't see Draco and Goyle staying friends post war and I never get why Goyle having been an enthusiastic participant in the Death Eaters' crimes (in a way that Draco never was) so often gets forgotten. Usually post war he gets reduced to a simple minded sad boi who Draco needs to look after. And I'm just like ??? Where?? Especially given that the alternative provides so much more interesting story fodder.

I would never actually want Morro to make a return, because good lord let the boy rest I beg, but unironically I think the comedy potential of Morro as a ghost hanging around Euphrasia is insanely underused.

Imagine yourself as Euphrasia: an introverted, quiet kid, who just writes about destiny and listens to the big bosses on their high horses. Now enter Hot Topics most reliable customer since 2015 with daddy issues and a inferiority complex hovering over your shoulder.

Morro is the demon hissing for the souls of the innocent while Euphrasia just wants a bagel. Regularly blows over stacks of very important papers because he was bored. Will not shut the fuck up about how she should go fistfight the guy who sneered at her the other day. Sends in the mother of all hurricanes when someone looks even a little disappointed at Euphrasia. Gets increasingly more violent with the ways he could totally kill someone when she keeps ignoring him. I think anyone would snap and get at least a little more confident with their snark when they have to put down bullshit like that every day.

The downside to this is that Euphrasia has to, you know, deal with Morro. The upside is that she has the full ability to hit him with a "I think somethings, like, wrong with you" in a half-sarcastic half-nervously-genuine way, and it'd destroy Morro so bad he has to sulk in the Departed Realm for a week with his emo music. He might be helping Euphrasia's ego, but his own is getting yanked back down by the ankles, kicking and screaming, whether he likes it or not.
