Okay because I am setting my expectations as low as possible in the hopes I get to be pleasantly surprised, here is the history of Black Canary as a solo title at DC:

Black Canary 1991: 4 issue miniseries. Probably best described as 'mediocre'. Dinah discovers Ollie's being an unemployed dropkick who has been stealing/borrowing money from the Sherwood Florist till and not accounting for it; out of her frustration at him she goes and beats up a drug cartel and white supremacists with the help of her new friend Gan Ngyuen, who would be a better boyfriend to Dinah than Ollie is being right now. In conversation with her Grell appearances, but seriously underestimates Dinah's actual skillset.

Black Canary 1993: 12 issue ongoing. Dinah's basically broken up with Ollie for the whole of this, which is completely fine by me, as Ollie uses some of his appearances in this book to accuse Dinah of sleeping with Ray Terrill. Who is 18 and was trying to look after the injured superhero who turned up on his doorstep. Time to go die in a firey helicopter crash, Ollie, you are terrible in the early 90s. Anyway, this is an incredibly uneven run that covers topics like Dinah's backstory, why Ray Terrill develops the biggest puppy crush on Dinah, and also the very first Nightwing-Oracle-Huntress-Black Canary team up. Tragically despite the compelling characterisation going on in this title between the four of them, the story they are in is a white slavery plot, rendering it almost impossible to recommend to people who aren't the sort to read every single appearance of a character.

Black Canary 2007: 4 issue miniseries. This would actually have been a compelling story apart from its intent and outcome. Dinah and Ollie, in the lead up to their wedding, grapple with combining their families and Dinah works with integrating Sin into the US educational system. Unfortunately, Sin is abducted and then Ollie fakes her death and doesn't tell Dinah what he's done, as he makes Connor take her off to one of the Himalayan monasteries various Arrows and companions have spent time at. Sin does not get to attend their wedding, and for some reason Dinah does not tell Ollie it's off even though he just faked Sin's death and lied to her about it.

Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell 2014: Graphic novel. Paul Dini's pet project that he spent the best part of a decade trying to get DC to publish. The only decent Dinah solo on this list, it's not actually a Dinah solo because it's co-starring Zee. Dinah and Zatanna met each other as teens trying to live up to the expectations of their families, then reunite in Vegas after some of Dinah's friends tell her that someone's made them swear a magic oath to take part in a heist, and it's killing them. Hijinks ensue! This is the only title of any of them on this list that's actually full of joy. Please read it.

Black Canary 2015: 12 issue ongoing. 'What if Dinah decided to make Black Canary be the stage name of a musician in a band rather than a superhero?' Does this have any connections to previous Dinah characterisation? Not really, no. Does it sound like the premise of an Elseworlds rather than main continuity, even for n52? Yes. Dinah decides being a superhero is just too much work, so she'll be in a band instead, aside from all those times she needs to stop singing to fight crime in the audience. Contains a time travel plot involving Kurt Lance, aka the worst decision DC has ever made in regards to Dinah's love life, and I'm including Ra's al Ghul and marrying Ollie on that list. I think they made Kurt Lance save the universe but I admit I was hatereading at that point. The final issue has Dinah have her life flash before her eyes while retconning out most of the n52 changes to her characterisation and also suggesting she got pregnant with Ollie's baby at age 53 before dying of a mystery disease at age 69.

Black Canary: Ignite 2019: DC teen graphic novel. Written by Meg Cabot, this is one of their teen alternate continuity rewrites set around the awkward period when Dinah was a teen and wanting to be a superhero like her mother, but Dinah Drake was firmly refusing to train her. Contains Larry Lance and is actually set in Gotham! (this is a good thing) On the other hand, maintains the 'was in a band' concept from Black Canary 2015, which personally I would rather stuff into a black hole never to be seen again, but angry teens singing in bands is a genre conceit for a reason. It's cute.

So really. Why would I let myself get my hopes up over Black Canary Volume 5?

It was a peaceful moment in the headquarters, Barbara was off in her bedroom busy with work, while Dinah and Helena were enjoying some downtime with the music channel playing.

"Have you ever considered being a singer?" Helena asked idly, her fingers drumming on the couch cushions.

Canary snorted with recollection.

"Back during my teen years, once or twice. Had a rock band phase. Didn't take."

Helena hummed before another question swam to her lips.

“How’d you get to know Zatanna? You seem to know each other pretty well.”

A nostalgic sigh escaped Dinah’s lips.

“Funnily enough, we first met in the Himalayas. I was practicing tai chi and she magically appeared near me. I threw a snowball at her, she used magic to flip me and land on my butt.”

Huntress smirked, rubbing her hand through her ebony hair.

“Rough meeting?”

“No, actually, she was pretty endearing. Over a decade later, we caught up, introduced her to the JLI, had a night out and an adventure.”

Dinah rested her palm on her cheek.

“She’s just got this energy to her. There’s a lot of tough stuff to deal with in this line of work. But she’s smiling, performing and even entertaining little orphan kids with magic tricks. She’s fun. And there’s not enough of us who get that.”

There was a quiet muttering of agreement. Dinah's expression shifted from nostalgic fondness into concern.

"Do you think Barbara's okay? You saw her face when Zee delivered the news."

Helena's face mirrored Dinah's concern, albeit to a slightly lesser extent.

"I think she was really betting on a quick fix. We should probably check on her soon, just in-

A loud thud caught their attention. They locked eyes for a moment, before racing off.

Try as she might, Barbara couldn’t get herself to lock in on her work. Her mind was occupied by annoyance and overthinking.

She was betting on Zatanna’s magical mastery being able to solve this issue in a flash, that she could say a few magic words and get Barbara back to normal.

Why would life ever be that easy? She shouldn’t be that annoyed about this, but she was. And with that annoyance came concern and questions.

What if Zatanna was wrong? What if this was some sort of lesson? Some kind of plot from a magic villain to weaken the team? What if she was stuck like this? She didn’t want to be stuck as a kid, stuck with the childish corner of her mind slipping out when she least wanted it.

There was noise everywhere. The nervous tapping of her fingers, the beeping of her monitors, her own thoughts, so much, too much. Normally she could tune it all out, focus on the job, but an adult mind in a child’s body could only handle so much.

She’d squashed it all down over the last day, suppressing all the weird feelings of discomfort and anxiety that were now beginning to crack and seep into her mental forefront.

With a shout of everything to shut up, Barbara slammed her desk, the bowl of half eaten ravioli shaking a bit, before her hands covered her ears. She just wanted everything to stop, every sound, she just wanted to breathe.

She didn’t hear herself whimper, but she heard a muffled door open.

Barbara felt gentle and familiar hands touch her face, wrap around her small body that felt like her heart was going to explode. Whispering into her ears soft words and the pet name that Dinah had coined at the start of this mess.

Maybe if she was in a better state of mind, she would have objected against her partners’ actions, how they were acting so soft, so caring, so loving in ways that crossed the line of coddling.

But she didn’t care right now. She just needed to feel okay. For that reason, Barbara didn’t object as a plush Batgirl toy was slid into her arms, or how a blanket was draped over her body. She simply closed her eyes and felt safe.

She trusted her team.

The day continued on rather smoothly with a few photos and hijinks of the entertaining variety, including Dinah being in awe when she was shown a Black Canary plush.

Helena captured that little moment, deserved after her time wrapped around Babsy's adorable thumb.

It was Babsy’s bedtime soon enough, despite her protests to the contrary.

Dinah pulled the soft bedsheets over her friend's small body.

“Feeling comfy, Babsy-Bear?” She crooned.

With the plush sheets, the perfectly positioned pillow and the plush ready to be snuggled against, Barbara looked almost the perfect picture of comfort. Her mildly annoyed pout was the only offset.

“I thought you promised no baby talk," Barbara reminded with a lightly complaining tone.

“This is my last chance. Let Mama Canary indulge, okay honey?” She asked with a sickly sweet tone that was still pretty entertaining.

A roll of the eyes before they softened into something gentler. Barbara looked at Dinah and Helena. Her teammates who had spent the last almost two days helping her out. Not out of pity or because they thought she couldn’t do anything herself, but just because they wanted to.

It was… unorthodox and definitely not something to be repeated upon her return to adulthood, but it was comforting.

“If I don’t remember any of this when I wake up. You two were great helpers. Thank you," She admitted with a gentle smile.

Helpers. Not sitters or caretakers. Makes sense, and it was a sweet compliment.

“And you were a lovely and well behaved girl,” Dinah replied.

Helena coughed into her hand with no real malicious intent. Dinah kissed Barbara’s forehead, ignoring the subtle whine of embarrassment.

“Sleep tight, Barbara.”

“Don’t let the bat-bugs bite,” Helena added on, before quietly closing the door.

Barbara didn’t roll her eyes, simply blowing a loose orange hair strand out her face, before relaxing into bed.

It didn’t take long for her to drift away into dreamland.

Music Selections for Hank Anderson

Hank likes dark heavy metal music and jazz music, right? Well, from what I listen to, which is basically everything, I'll make a small list of what I think Hank would like. Maybe he would like grunge music as well, but only in his home.

Some bands I think he would like would probably be some famous ones like Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath, but he would also like King Diamond, Avenged Sevenfold, Fozzy, Machine Head, Slayer, and of course Ozzy Osbourne.

For jazz music, I think it would be Nat King Cole, Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Louis Armstrong, Michael Buble, Dinah Washington, and Frank Sinatra. Can't go wrong with them.

For other music, I think he would like a few Queen songs, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Def Leppard, Krokus, and Nazareth. Though I think he would listen to 'Hair Of The Dog' the most from that band. He'd probably also like Rush too.

Feverishly writing out my wildly Americanized Stex reimagining concept. So much goes the way of “Immer pünktlich” in that it works so well in ways it was never intended to, and makes no sense outside of one regional audience (and people who have physically gone there by train)

I need to iron out some stuff but hopefully I’ll post the whole concept soon. It would be moderately sacrilegious, but also weirdly bring it in line with how the Railways Series was written (heavily rooted in how trains actually were at the time). While also providing some surprisingly elegant solutions to some long-term problems the show has, and implement a lot of stuff it’s tried to do over the years in really clunky half-baked ways.

“Starlight Express, Are you real, yes or no/I don’t want you to go” goes from “haha train god” to “passenger trains nearly vanished from the US altogether after WWII largely due to the government’s actions and those are genuine reflections of that”. The fundamental thing is you need to totally rewrite the Starlight Sequence to be about “you alone are an engine not a train” and emphasize that banding together as a group is the actual way to make systemic change (and also one of the main strengths of trains!).

Just saying, in the 80s (and even now) a steam engine as the high-maintenance celebrity who’s a neutral but obstructive figure with an entourage who follows them around is a fun and accurate depiction of mainline excursions (and the problems they cause can so fun and versatile to explore)

And New York City is right at the epicenter of where passenger rail was repeatedly set up to fail by the government, and how dated and worn out many electrified lines are is perhaps the most visible and vulnerable symbol of that.

A kid playing with a mismatched train set half consisting of their grandpa’s decades-old rails and wiring and wondering why the new engine they got for Christmas doesn’t work well is a very on the nose depiction of Amtrak in the 70s-early 80s. They think about what to ask for their birthday, toy cars? Planes? Tanks? And then a funny crowd of voices yells “TRAINS!”

“Coach sexism” becomes actually compelling in the context of how the position of US passenger rail and women in the workplace vaguely correlate post-WWII, the steam heat/head end power changeover around the 60s-80s is an underrated metaphor for orientation (and give Pearl even more depth as a glass slipper if you make her a then-new Amfleet car), and with an electric protag you can finally replace Hydra/Dustin with a nuclear flask and have it make a ton of sense. It feels like they wanted to make him nuclear coded so badly with how he’s shown as a green-hued, sinister-looking, but heroic alternative energy, but it’s total sci fi to apply it to a steam locomotive.

Oh yeah, it’s also a blank check to bring back Slick and/or barely-modified Trucker Caboose, along with a lot of other popular old things that suddenly fit again (Dinah’s Disco, OLC Belle, There’s Me)

You're not considering many other people, Anon. Camila and Dinah shared it with Hoko (Dinah's cousin) and the band (Ashlee Juno, Lauren Fuller, and Michelle “Michel'Le” Baptiste) while Ally, Normani, and Lauren shared it with some members of the tour crew; four if I'm not mistaken because the rest was in another bus. And inside both of the girls’ buses were purposely left empty sleeping places for when their family members joined them and stayed for a few tour dates.

And I know what you're thinking right now: why couldn't the band and those 4 tour crew members be in one bus and 5H + Hoko in the other one? Simple, that was their last year as a group and the narrative dictated the division between the girls. Anyway. There's no way to know for sure. There are several factors to consider. How much notoriety does the artist have? Are they an A-list singer?  How much notoriety does the magazine have? Is it just an interview, or an interview + photoshoot? Is there anything else included in the interview to promote other than the music? Products/brands, feuds, relationships, future projects? It all depends on this and much more.

Like, for example. Is it an interview with a full fashion shoot plus high-level clothes and photographers? It already means that it's an important magazine and that the artist is considered as such and that was most likely wanted. Very important magazines such as are for example Vogue, Elle, and Vanity Fair, are themselves paying the artists and not the other way around. If that's why, in addition to the $100,000-plus earned, the artists receive free clothing, accessories, samples, make-up, and beauty products that they can keep as part of the shoot.

If, on the other hand, we're talking about less important magazines then it depends. (It always depends on the notoriety of the artist, but still.) If the interview is simple enough and the focus is on the music to be promoted, then it's very likely that the artist's team contacted and paid the magazine. Ditto if it's just an article without an interview.

If, on the other hand, there's something else to promote besides music, things change. But even here, it depends. What is this other thing to promote and how important is it? If it's not something really important that can generate lots of clicks, then it doesn't matter. But if it does matter, whether it's a scoop from a new love interest, or a feud with another celebrity, then it's the artists who get paid to release it.

For other types of magazines, however, it doesn't work that way. The mere presence of the artist on their web pages benefits them because fans or readers in general generate clicks. It's a double exposure for both artist and the magazine and therefore a win-win situation. No one pays anyone in this case because it's precisely a free double cross-publicity.

I want you to seriously think about something: if you had a one-on-one business meeting with your supervisor or directly with your boss, would you show up there with your significant other? I really don't think so. You have your meeting and after work, you call or meet directly with your significant other to tell them how it went. Period. That's the reality. Work is work, and you must know how to separate their work and their relationship because it runs exactly as it does for all of us.

Besides, although at the time Maverick managed the group for things related to the group as a whole, Mila was already personally managed by Roger, and therefore LAND and in this specific case Laur, was personally managed by Maverick. Both Roger and Maverick obviously answered to the labels because all labels always have the final decision on everything, but still, the point is that for personal things not related to 5H, Camren were managed by different people.

So as in the example of not bringing your significant other to meetings I gave you earlier, Mila wasn't present during Laur's PRs signings and agreements and vice versa.

let’s talk : Over the years the type of music Black Canary has played has been vass. Right now she’s a rock star with her own band. This is the vibe I’ve stuck with while making her playlist. I just thought that the playlist would feel inconsistent if I tried to capture each iteration of her. Which is why for most of these playlists I try to stick with the current iteration. Not much else to say for this one so as always check out these other great playlists if you’re looking for something else or want more.

The whisper startled Zatanna from where she was reading on the couch. Uncrossing her legs, she looked up to see a ghost

She could see their unit's resident ghost with no problem thanks to magic, even times like now when he did not borrow somebody's body, and he came further into the room. The flames in the fireplace started to turn blue as he stood in front of them.

"What's wrong?"

Boston was normally a pretty chatty and cheerful ghost, but he looked sad. Zatanna shut her book and stood, coming over to stand with the ghost.

"I'm lonely. Can we watch a movie? Please?"

He shifted his foot back and forth, and she was pretty sure he was blushing.

Zee shrugged. "Sure."

"Really?" His eyes lit up, literally, for a second.

Zee smiled. Zachary and John had gone to see a local band at the bar, and they were both likely to be out for hours yet. And things had been quiet tonight while she had been on call. It was the perfect night for a baggy sweater and leggings with a fire in the fireplace. But she had started to feel a little lonely herself halfway through the last chapter, so hanging out and watching a movie with Boston seemed like a great idea.

"What movie?"

He flashed a smile. "Something old that we both have watched a dozen times so you don't get mad if I talk and I don't lose the plot? Comedy? Musical?"

Zee couldn't find Singing In The Rain right away, so she clicked on The Court Jester.

"It's nice having a quiet night with a movie after spending time with people all week."

"With people? Or around people?"

Zatanna looked startled by the question. 

"You are surrounded by people every night. But your cousin, John, your assistant, Dinah, some of the Belfry. You don't really hang out with the others. And, I was a performer. Don't try to tell me that you are just hanging out when you are on stage."

"You sounded like John for a second."

"He gets it too. And most of the Justice League treats both of us like we don't belong. Besides, John doesn't mind doing this when he stays in or is at the Watchtower. He doesn't even mind the hugs."

"Hugs?" Zatanna was startled into laughter. "Sorry, I didn't realize you liked John."

"When he isn't threatening to send me on because I possessed somebody, we get along. He'll talk, give me hugs, watch cheesy horror flicks or the Twilight Zone. And he gets me wanting to be around people. I miss it. I can't even change out of what I died in."

"Do you want that? To change clothes? Or get a hug?"

"Yeah, but -"

Zatanna waved her hand and did a quick backcasting. Boston still sat next to her on the couch, but wearing a black tee shirt and pajama pants. His face was scrubbed clean of greasepaint, just a regular guy with blue eyes and brown hair.

"Cozy." He blinked down, staring at his hands resting on the soft flannel pants, looking so confused, sitting next to her in normal clothing.

"It's magic." Zee whispered and pulled him into a hug.

There was a beat, then two, before he hugged her back, pulling her head against his shoulder, hands rubbing circles on her back.

Then, he stilled. Slowly, he went to pull away.

"Boston?"

"I shouldn't do this." His words were barely a whisper against the top of her head, stirring her hair.

"I wouldn't have given you a hug if I wasn't okay with it."

"Zatanna, I don't want to stop with just a hug."

"Okay."

"What?"

She climbed onto his lap, hands resting on his hips. "I said I am okay with that."

"Last time that  I did this, I got shot for it."

"I don't plan on shooting you." She gave a gentle kiss at the point where his neck and collarbone met.

And found herself laying back on the couch, Boston leaning over her.

"If it's okay, I'd like to take the lead. There are some things I've missed."

"Go ahead, then."

Zatanna felt lips skimming over her throat with gentle kisses as she felt deft hands rolling her leggings and underwear down and off.

As his hands slid back up, he grabbed the hem of her sweater and lifted it up and off.

"You aren't wearing a bra."

Zatanna stared up at him, as he looked at her naked body. "Is that a problem?"

"Not at all."

He kissed her breasts, teased her nipples, licking the undersides as he slid down to kiss down her stomach, hands gently pressing at the insides of her knees to urge them apart.

He kissed lower and lower as his hands slid back up her thighs.

I’ve been thinking about fifth harmony since Ally’s interview and seeing what everyone had to say about it. I think we have to remember that Ally has a very different perspective on the group because she was given a completely different role than the rest of the girls. Having to be the “adult” and take care of the rest of the girls while also being given zero recognition for that or for her musical talent from the fandom. In the Zach Sang interview she also didn’t say she never trusted the girls but at a certain point trust was broken amongst them which is very clear to see from interviews right before Camilla left the group and after. I think Ally speaks more candidly and little bit more in depth than the other girls but they all say the same thing. They went through a hard period of time but the problem wasn’t them. You can loose trust in someone due to circumstances but also know that they’re not the cause of the issue.

I agree with part of what you say, it is true that Ally's role within the group was different and was different because she was the oldest among the five girls, but that does not take away from how bad her narrative is. Being the victim when everyone else had it even worse because Dinah, Normani, Lauren and Camila were minors. That detail alone put the girls at risk because we know how screwed up the industry is with young artists and even more so with female artists.

I'm not trying to disparage what Ally experienced, but in my opinion, she was much more protected than the rest of the girls because she was always on the side of the executives and the industry. The other girls don't. Lauren and Camila always fought against them and were punished. I think you remember the leaked audio of Lauren and Camila complaining about how they were exploited. In Lauren's audio, she was precisely talking to Ally about how they were treated like slaves. Don't you see it curious? Ally was the eye of the managers within the band, so I think we have the right to question Ally's role with the girls, because a part of me still thinks that that audio leak that caused the girls' punishment had a lot to do with it. to do with Ally and it's one of the reasons why I never liked or trusted her.

Today is the birthday of this fantastic song.

On March 30th, 1946, the Broadway show “St. Louis Woman” opened.

The musical’s tunes were written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer and the gem of the bunch was “Come Rain or Come Shine”.

In the show, this song was delivered by Ruby Hill and Harold Nicholas, sung as a duet.

The musical didn’t do that great, but this song rose up and became one of the most popular and most-recorded jazz standards of the era…

My dad had a big swing jazz band, and for a while, the lead singer was Jane Barbe, who is legendary for also being the voice that told you what time it was …”… at the tone, the time will be…”

I would sit in on all of the rehearsals and any recording sessions in the studio, and I idolized Jane like mad… so I learned this song at age five and tried to belt it out in my room the way Jane could…

Of the hundreds of covers, I suppose, after Jane with my dad and his band, Billie Holiday would get my vote as best.

Ray Charles is pretty phenomenal with this song too.

I think Judy Garland would’ve owned this one but for having the most god-awful arrangement of it that anyone could ever devise - with really fast bongo drums…

Do you think dinahbabs could ever happen in canon? I think they’re so cute

If you want my honest opinion, I find it unlikely that we will ever have explicit, on page, DinahBabs content where they are openly in a relationship in the main universe.

It might happen! But I think we are far more likely to have any of the following situations:-

Dinah and Babs together in a future timeline in an event or a different world in the Multiverse that is rarely mentioned again;

Dinah and Babs keep getting written as touchy-feely best friends that is extremely easy to read as queer coding if you want to;

Dinah and Babs occasionally get outright queerbaiting moments as they are Gals Who Are Pals on page and accidentally kiss or touch the other's boobs for plot reasons.

It doesn't make sense to put them together on page for storytelling reasons. Partly because they've got other long term relationships that are on-off for both of them (Ollie and Dick), but also because honestly, the comics openly stating "and then Dinah and Babs had sex in the Clock Tower" doesn't...really change anything about their relationship or how they're written together? If there is a Birds of Prey or a Batgirl ongoing I expect I'll find Dinah and Babs effectively having relationship drama in that comic, whether or not you read it as best friends or as romantic.

The small number of times I can say that Dinah and Babs WERE broken up in the last 30 years reinforce this. You've got post the DinahOllie wedding where Dinah quit BOP and then Barbara moved the entire operation across the country so she was living 30 minutes from Dinah and sending out an operative to spy on Dinah while she was at home and out fighting so Dinah was safe? The mess that was the end of Birds of Prey during n52 where right as the book ended both Dinah AND Babs got characterisation retcons for Burnside and the band, and they were STILL all over each other and Dinah sleeping on Babs' couch while they were fighting?

What about these situations is substantially going to change if the writers make it explicit? Their writers are already in on it too (see Gail Simone)

Maybe it's just me being older and growing up with media like Xena, but I would honestly rather have Dinah and Babs continue to be written the way they are, and explicit canonical lesbian and bi characters exist alongside them, than have someone possibly ruin their dynamic by putting a label on it and getting them pigeonholed.

its SO hard for me to decide what my "canon" mad t party story is, cus theres so many ideas and ive seen so many cool things from other people in the fandom i just dont know.

part of me wants to sorta match with the 2010 movie's story, or at least draw inspiration from it, since mtp is based on it and all, but also mad t party is so different and i want to keep it different cus i dont really fw the 2010 movie

in my mind the queen's a villain, but how much of a villain idk. is she a big deal to the party like in the movies or is she just kinda around?

adding on to that, a lot of people used to have that whole wonderland war story which meant on top of being stupid band kids (/aff) the party is also capable of fighting. idk if i like that or not (im leaning towards no)

but the idea of mtp alice slaying a jabberwocky is just so tempting, its hard not to want that. but i dont really have a place where it'd fit into the timeline. when the band initially went on hiatus (so 2014), thats where i say all the wonderlandians went back home while alice and dinah stayed in california...im firm on keeping that because those 6-ish months are when alice realized how much her wonderland friends meant to her and thats why in 2016 she decided to go back with them to wonderland (canon as of this year with their d23 performance!!!!) but all other times they're just in california.

the rabbit holes a machine/portal thing in my mind, which ties in with my hc of nivens being really tech savvy and into that stuff. if i decide not to go with the wonderland war story, i think itll be that the band goes through the rabbit hole into alice's world, and so many people going through at once overheats it or something so it's rapidly shutting down, and nivens follows them through in order to get them back home (it doesnt work and it takes him a while to fix it)

idk i just think the wonderland war things been tainted for me (thats not really the right word, i just feel like its overused and i dont see the mad t party being badass enough to like. defeat a queen and slay a jabberwocky is all. plus in old mtp fandom its strongly tied to the femally thing, which i dont hc at all soo)
