Okay, sorry but the idea of just being the group whore sounds... fun?
A coven of witches, testing their most strange potions on you, paying you in kisses, kisses to practically everywhere on your body.
A castle of vampires, pulling you into coffins, having their fill of blood before playing with your weakened body, twisting and tugging and poking and licking, fascinated with how alive you still are.
A den of werewolves, one always inside you as she cooes about what a perfect parent you'll be when one of them finally succeeds in becoming a mother. I just. I don't know. Just thinking...

Isaac Request
Tumblr media
Requested? Yes
Isaac Lahey x witch afab Reader
I didn't know if you wanted pure fluff of smut too so this is pure fluff I think I will add a second Chapter with smut, tonight or tomorrow. If anyone has any ideas what to add please drop them in my inbox <3333
Prompts:
4. "I'm staying. Stop fighting me.”
9. "let me take care of you
The reader thinks Isaac doesn't like her, but he's just awful at showing his feelings.
Since the reader doesn't have healing abilities like the rest of them Isaac never wants them to come with them because it stresses him out too much, he feels the need to protect her and he can’t fight and keep an eye on her at the same time
The reader thinks Isaac sees her as a burden but he is in loooooooove
Challenge: take a shot everytime i wrote Isaac.
Spoiler:
“Don't even start again. Just let me help without complaining for once.”
A small “why” was all you could muster in return, too tired to start a whole argument. “What do you mean, why? To make sure you're fine, obviously."
“In case you haven't noticed, but it's always me looking after you.”
You woke up on your living room couch, halfway slumped over the side, with a pounding head and blurry vision. You couldn't remember getting home; all you remembered was a pretty bad fight.
I should have just stayed out of there.
But of course, you could never stay out of other people's business. No one in Beacon Hill could. Supernatural was drawn to supernatural.
When you changed schools, you didn't expect your parents to drop you off, and ending up immediately running into a WHOLE PACK of werewolves. You kept your head down and walked right past them as if they didn't exist.
You are a witch, so you smell like an average human to them, but they can’t fool you being born a witch. Your third eye has always been open, and they can’t hide their true forms from you.
One day during lunch, you overheard some of their troubles—of course, you weren't eavesdropping...
you'd never..
From what you gathered, they needed a rare plant that happened to grow in your witch mother’s garden.
You've only been here for a few weeks but befriended Allison and Lydia quickly, so you understood the pack was keeping the town safe and are no danger, of course, they didn't know that you had already seen through them, but you felt the need to help them regardless.
You heard them talking about meeting up after school, so you dropped a tracking stone in Lydia's bag during class when she wasn't looking so you could find her later. In hindsight, you should have maybe just approached them instead of using Lydia to stalk them, but you aren't exactly the most extroverted, so they would have to deal, you thought.
Later that day, you went home and plucked the flower from your mom’s garden while she was still out. Back in your room, you placed the second tracking stone on your map, and it moved exactly to where Lydia was at that moment.
Back then, on that day, you should have learned to mind your business, but whatever
You got out of your car in the middle of the woods, a map and a mason jar with your flower in your hand, looking for Lydia when you heard screaming.
A fight was happening in the middle of the woods, and you ran right into it.
“The fuck are you doing here?” You turned around to see a rather angry Isaac right behind you, unsure whether he had turned since you pretty much always saw through their facade. You could feel the anger rolling off of him. Taking a step back as he took on forward, you pushed your hand out, shoving the jar under his nose while avoiding his eyes. You said nothing.
Isaac accused you of spying on them and trying to sabotage them, but thankfully Stiles stumbled towards you guys, perplexed by your appearance but thankful either way he took the flower and did god knows what with it.
Ever since that you involuntary became a part of the pack. You told them how you knew from the first time you set foot in the school, but Isaac didn't trust you and kept his distance. Now, a year later, close to graduation, you still end up coming to the rescue every single time together with Stiles. You're keeping the boat from sinking, really.
And that's why you found yourself in your current position. You came to the rescue again. Some sicko alpha was rampaging through the woods, and while you were laying a trail of mountain ash, he attacked you from behind, scratching open your side and throwing you through the night sky, lovely.
You didn't register any pain at first, but now that you're coming to be, your entire side is burning, and your head is pounding even stronger.
You don't know who got you home, but you could hear water running in your guest bath down the hall, so with a shaky breath, you pushed yourself up to make your way over to the bathroom, but your vision got blurry, and you had to lean on the armrest.
“What are you doing? Sit back down.” Isaac came rushing towards you and helped you sit back down. You didn't know who to expect, but it wasn't Isaac.
Over the last year, Isaac had warmed up to you a little—not that you could tell, but that's what the others kept saying.
To you, Isaac still seemed closed off, but you wrote it off as it being his personality.
He didn't want you to come today. He protested profusely at lunch, saying that there was nothing you could help with anyway and that you were just putting yourself in danger. You knew that you probably should have sat this one out, but Stiles was feeling under the weather, and you didn't like that Isaac made you feel like a child.”
“I can take care of myself. I'm not a child,” you told Isaac, who acted like you would just be a burden. You feared he might have been right.
Now that he was in your home, treating you like a child again made you angry. One day, he was nice to you—distant but still somewhat nice—giving you class notes when you were sick even though you were sure he never took notes. He shrugged it off like it was no big deal, and then he acted like a first-class jerk again.
To be real, his cold-shoulder, mysterious attitude had you crushing a little at first, but when you realized that he only cold-shouldered you and Stiles, it just felt like he was excluding you.
While you could be more of a help to your friends if you would be focusing on spell crafting like your mom instead of potion making, it comes in handy in times like this where your healing salves would aid your healing process, not having the natural advanced healing of a werewolf.
You take a staggered breath in, grind your teeth together, and got moving.
“You’re shitting me right now; you shouldn't move in this condition.”
Ignoring Isaac, you moved towards your hallway, one hand on the wall stabilizing you.
“I mean it, Isaac, just leave. I brought this onto myself anyway."
But instead of Isaac leaving, you could hear him move towards you.
You went to turn around. “ Wh-
Before you could even start, Isaac picked you up.
Paralyzed from the shock of what was happening, you just gasped up at Isaac like a fish as he carried you to your bedroom. He placed you down on your bed, and without looking at you, he immediately turned away. Your eyes followed his figure as he moved towards the other side of your room, where you kept your potion cabinet.
“Which one is that healing stuff you gave Allison last time?” You just looked at Isaac, not quite understanding why he was still here.
“the purple container that says Clinique” (reduce, reuse, recycle old containers)
Isaac moved back over to the bed. You sat up and took the salve from him.
You waited for him to leave so you could lift your shirt and apply the salve but Isaac sat down next to you.
“I'll help you." Isaac moved closer and tried to lift the side of your shirt, but you flinched back—wrong idea. A stabbing pain ran up your side and temporarily made your vision go black.
One part of your brain enjoyed the idea of taking your whole shirt off in front of Isaac—maybe that small part that still had a crush on him—but the other side didn't even want to slightly lift it.
“I can do it, Isaac; seriously, I'm not getting naked in front of you,” you glared at Isaac the best you could. "You don't need to be here.”
In reality, you didn't look mean at all, the pain too clear in your expression, and your wound far too concerning in Isaac's eyes. “You’re not getting naked; I just need to rub this on, and in case you haven't noticed, you're not even wearing your own shirt, so I won't see anything I haven’t already.”
You looked down at your own body and noticed he's right; the shirt you left the house in is long gone; instead, your blood is soaking into the shirt Isaac wore earlier under his jacket.
While you were distracted, Isaac quickly applied the slave to one hand and went under your shirt. As he went to apply it, you still tried to wriggle out of his hold; you don't know why you did it. You could tell that Isaac, for whatever reason, just wanted to help you.
Nice Isaac was complicated. It made the irrational side of your brain fuzzy, and maybe one small butterfly woke up in your stomach. "I'm staying. Stop fighting me and let me help you, goddamit.”
Isaac’s grip tightened around your waist. You couldn't go anywhere. As he rubbed the salve around your wound, he decided not to lift your shirt and just moved his hand under it.
You titled your head to look at Isaac; his eyes moved from your middle to your face. “Is this okay?” he asked while looking into your eyes.
You nodded your head, not sure what to say. This side of Isaac was weird; technically, you should be happy. This caring side is what you dreamed about months ago when you started crushing on the mysterious wolf, but he made it so incredibly hard on you by always treating you like a little kid.
When Isaac was done, he got up off the bed, washed his hands, and put the salve back where it belonged.
You dropped back on your bed, facing the ceiling, energy fading. You couldn't even move up the bed, legs still dangling off.
Isaac came back to your side and kneeled. He started taking your boots off; you felt too exhausted to even lift your feet to help him.
You groaned, thinking about how Isaac would use this against you for all eternity to prove that you are nothing but a danger to yourself.
“Don't even start again. Just let me help without complaining for once.”
Okay, that wasn't what you expected.
A small “why” was all you could muster in return, too tired to start a whole argument.
“What do you mean, why? To make sure you're fine, obviously."
You didn't really understand what Isaac was on about.
“In case you haven't noticed, but it's always me looking after you.”
You tried to make sense of his words when a conversation you had with Lydia came back to mind; you brushed it off, but Lydia had said something about Isaac always being way too close to you, not in a literal way, but if you were walking in a group, he was next to you walking on the side next to the road, and if you split up in groups, Isaac was always with you, and now today.
wait
“How did you find me? You were supposed to be at the other end of the woods?” You asked Isaac, who gave no reply. He was supposed to be with Allison as backup and setting up traps.
Isaac had put your shoes next to your wardrobe and came back to the side of your bed to help you move fully onto the bed.
“Isaac?”
“I was going to go in position once you were inside the Mountain Ash Circle... But then he came out of nowhere. I was too focused on you to notice him. I'm sorry.” Now you knew Isaac wasn't a man of many words, but you realized that Lydia might have been a little right; Isaac was always watching you.
A blush crept up on your cheeks, but you couldn't quite believe the conclusion you were drawing here.
“Oh,”
Isaac looked down at you lying on your back. "I’m bad at this talking thing, okay?”
He rubbed the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact now.
“it’s okay” You patted the space beside you on the bed and signaled Isaac to sit or lay down. You realized it must have been pretty late, or early? You looked at your alarm clock 2:43 am; well, not too bad.
You felt the bed dip beside you as Isaac laid down on his side next to you, somehow facing you but still avoiding looking at you, fascinating.
“Thank you, Isaac." Your eyes met, and the usually confident Isaac suddenly looked everything but that.
He brushed a strand of hair out of your face with his hand. “Just let me take care of you from now on, okay?” he asked.
Okay, more than one butterfly woke up again. You nodded your head and tried to scoot closer to Isaac; instead, he wrapped his arms around you and did the work for you by pulling you in. “Will you stay?” you said as Isaac moved to sit up. “Of course, but you should change your shirt; it’s bloody.”
“You mean I should change youuur shirt?” you purred. You smiled at Isaac and pointed to your chair, where your PJs were lying. He reached over and gave you your shirt.
“Can you help me get this off?” You sat up; your side was healing. You could feel the wound closing up faster than humanly possible, but it still ached.
Isaac helped you lift your arms as little as possible as he lifted your shirt above your head.
Shivers ran down your spine, but you didn't feel uncomfortable. He helped you put your clean shirt back on and moved you to lie down with him, setting the blanket over you two.
You laid together in silence, your back pressed to Isaac’s chest; you could feel his breath on top of your head; you should sleep, but your emotions were running wild, and you didn't want this moment, these feelings, to end.
As if he could read your thoughts, Isaac said, “I’ll still be here in the morning. You can sleep.”
He kissed the top of your head, and you drifted off to sleep. Today's events were a little too much.

One part of Halloween movies that I’ll always love is when the real supernatural entities come into the real world and interact with humans but since it’s Halloween the humans see them and just go “woah that’s a sick costume” 🎃
A friendly reminder that Halloween is the one day a year where anyone can get away with dressing however the hell they want (and also you could be surrounded by real magical beings and you wouldn’t know it 🪄)

You could already smell the blood, coming from a mile. The scent mixed with the forests fragrance. That damp mossy smell after the rain hat hit in a morning glow. Your senses kicked in, turning your eyes yellow. Leaving the cabin, you started running. No human could keep up as you rushed through the bayou. The earth squishy underneath your feet. Last night was a heavy rain fall in the bayou. Sending the river banks higher than normal. You and your pack had taken shelter for the night. Eye colour a bright yellow.
The scenery flashed by as you covered your grounds quick. The smell of blood becoming more vivid. The forest reeking of it. Already slowing a bit down, you knew you were getting closer. A flock of crowd made you snap your head back up to the sky. They were circling above your head. Cawing loud. Seeing one dive down. It made you widen your eyes, jumping over a mossy log to get closer to the blood smell.
Stepping deeper into the swamp, you were overwhelmed by the smell. There came a clearing as your eyes widened. Growing larger with the shock. A repulsion came over you, almost making you want to throw up. It was hard to swallow it down seeing the massacred pile of human. A few flies already buzzing around them. Amongst the pile, you recognized a face that wasn’t so heavily covered in blood. – “Ben!” – you screamed out, running over to the pile.
It was then that you recognized more of them. Your pack. Slaughtered. You shoved a body off Ben, wanting to check on your alpha. You were a small pack of wolves. Mostly existing of wolves no one else wanted to take. Those who found refuge with Ben in the bayou. You couldn’t control your tears as you wiped the blood of his face. Wanting him to be clean. Mud mixing with blood as it stained your clothing and limbs.
It was then that your eyes fell on the two puncture holes in his neck. Your hands clenched into fists, catching some mud with it. Letting your head fall back, you screamed your lungs out. Sending the flock of crows above your head fleeing. Every fibre in your body trembled with the intensity of your scream till your body fell forwards from exhaustion. You hadn’t heard them going out. Not remembering much from last night.
Like lambs they were slaughtered and there was only one who could’ve done this. Vampires. Your sworn enemies. Wiping the back of your hand against your cheek, you left an unwanted bloody mud smudge. Getting up, you backed away from the bodies. Knowing what you had to do. You snapped a branch, pointing the sharpy end at the sun. Lowering your hand, you set out on your war path. Hungry for some vampires. Specially those originals.
The looks the locals gave you, didn’t bother you. Not even their pulled up noses from the smell. You kept walking with one goal only. The Mikaelsons house clear in your vision. You didn’t care who was at home as someone was going to pay for this. Letting the wooden spike twirl in your hand, you weren’t afraid of them. At this point you weren’t afraid of anything. Savages they were. Rebekah smelled it first, pulling her nose up. – “What is that ghastly smell?” – she asked moving her hand in front of her nose. – “It smells like a swamp.” – she added as Klaus laughed loud.
“Is that you? You pig?” – she accused him. Klaus held his hands up. – “Do not look at me.” – he said, suddenly jumping up when someone entered their family home. – “Mikaelsons!” – you shouted loud. Rebekah quirking her eyebrow up at you. Clearly having found the source of smell. Klaus rushed over to you, stopping you before you could enter more. – “Out!” – he ordered with a glare.
You rose the wooden spike at him, your eyes flashing yellow. – “Make me.” – you replied firm. – “You seem a bit lost Wolfie?” – Kol appeared behind Klaus, crossing his arms. You bared your teeth at him making Kol snap his mouth teasingly at you to mimic a bite. – “What do you want?” – Klaus called out. – “I want your head on a pike!” – you made clear moving the spike closer to his throat. – “Get in line for that.” – Kol answered behind Klaus. Klaus curled up a smirk, finding you very bold to threaten him like that. – “Brothers, let’s be civil.” – Elijah Mikaelson came down the stairs, already taking out a handkerchief for you.
Needing to out your anger, you threw the spike at him. It hit him in the shoulder making him grunt. He slowly pulled it out making it clatter to the ground. In a matter of a second he was at your side. Having grabbed you as your back hit the wall making you gasp loud. He was already showing you his fangs out of spite. – “Why are you here?” – he asked looking at you with those darkened eyes. – “To kill you!” – you replied receiving a hard push back against the wall.
“You killed my pack!” – you made clear. – “You blood suckers slaughtered my pack last night and you are going to pay for it!” – you shouted pushing Elijah off you. He stumbled backwards a bit shocked by your accusations. Panting loud, you watched as the four Mikaelsons came nearer. – “Y/n?” – Hayley’s voice broke the tension as she appeared between Klaus and Kol.
“What… what happened?” – she asked worried. – “Did you set them up to it?” – you called out to her, taking a step as Elijah reached his hand out to keep you at a distance from her. – “To what?” – Hayley replied confused. – “They slaughtered my pack!” – you screamed out. – “Last night at the swamp. Massacred them after they sucked them dry!”
Hayley gasped loud in shock. – “I… I have no pack…” – you hated yourself for getting emotional, but seeing their mangled up bodies in your mind, made you want to cry your eyes out. Hayley rushed over to you as Klaus tried to hold her back. Elijah noticed her, grabbing her by the arm quickly before she could reach you. – “Typical wolves to blame any murder on us.” – Elijah said with disgust. – “I saw the puncture holes!” -  you let out, pointing at your neck with two fingers. – “Wiped your own memories for that?” – you mocked. – “We didn’t kill your pack.” – Rebekah said loud making you puff loud.
“Liar!” – you yelled, wanting to have something to throw at them. – “All you ever do is kill… my family… you killed my family…” – your voice fading out a bit. Staring heartbroken down at the ground. – “Mark my words Mikaelsons. I’ll have your heads.” – you threatened taking your leave as you knew you were outnumbered now. Elijah scoffed loud, slowly letting go of Hayley. Hayley stared questionable at her friends. – “What?” – Klaus asked. – “Did you? Did you kill Y/n’s pack?” – she asked. -  “Why should I be bothered with a nameless pack?” – Klaus said back with a devious smirk.
***************************************************************
Elijah gasped loud seeing his sister’s neck broken. He rushed over to her, seeing the rip marks at her shirt. Three tears going from her stomach to her back. It made Elijah worry, making him lift her shirt up to see the damage. Three scratches of nails crossed into her skin. It made Elijah only think of one person who could’ve done this. He waited till his sister woke up and the scratch marks disappeared as they seemed to be of no harm.
As soon as Kol could watch their sister, Elijah set off on a path of war. He reached the swamps quickly. The smell of blood clear on his senses. He first went to the cabins knowing you’d be there. Except you weren’t there. Listening, he heard shovelling. He fled over to the sound. The first thing he did was cover up his nose at the smell from the blood that has been cooking under the glory sun for a day now. Looking around, he saw several dug out pits. In one of them sand flew up.
Elijah made his way over to the pit, looking down in it. There he saw you shovelling. Face dirty with sand. As the sun got blocked from you, casting a shadow over your face, you looked up. Coming face to face with Elijah. – “What do you want!” – you called out. Elijah jumped into the pit, grabbing you by the arms. He then jumped out, slamming your back against the ground as he sat on top of you. – “I know you hurt my sister!” – he spitted out with anger. Eyes already darkening at you. – “What?” – you replied confused.
“You said you’d have our heads, so you must feel glorious for hurting my sister.” – Elijah set more pressure on your shoulders, pushing them firmer onto the ground. – “I have been here all day and night!” – you shouted at him, trying to get him off. – “Shovelling graves to bury my pack, the pack you killed!” – you made clear, pushing him off you. Elijah fell backwards as you got up. – “Have a look around idiot! You really think I dug all those graves in five minutes?” – you yelled making him take another look. There were indeed a number of graves already dug. – “I didn’t hurt your sister.” – you told him annoyed. – “And I didn’t kill your pack!” – Elijah answered equally bothered.
You dropped the shovel, walking up to the bodies you had separated form each other. Having laid them carefully beside each other with a sheet over them. You pulled one of the sheets back, pointing down. Elijah neared seeing the puncture wounds as well. – “I did not kill them.” – Elijah reminded you once more. – “Then who did? Fairies?” – you replied sarcastically. Elijah knelt down to the body, moving his two fingers at the same length of the puncture holes.
“They are too close together for bite marks.” – he informed you. – “Bull! You are just calling things to deflect your murders.” – you told him as Elijah pulled himself back up. He pulled out a handkerchief, offering it to you. – “I do not.” – he responded. You puffed loud, pushing his hand away. – “I don’t need your tissues.” – you made clear. Elijah offered it again. – “You have dirt on your face.” – he informed you. Bothered you took the handkerchief from him, wiping it across your face. – “Oh look you are capable of having a clean face.” – he teased as you shoved him aside.
You pressed the handkerchief against his chest walking back to the shovel. – “Now if you’ll excuse me. I have more graves to dig.” – you jumped back into the pile to shovel more. Elijah looked briefly at the heavens before taking off his jacket. He rolled his sleeves up, grabbing another shovel to help you. You blinked surprised when you saw him jump down the hole with you to shovel. He didn’t say a word, just shovelling. He even helped you lay the bodies down to bury.
After a proper burial, you returned to your cabin as Elijah followed. You threw a clean shirt and vest at him to change in. Elijah went to the bathroom to clean up as you washed yourself a bit at the sink. Putting on clean clothing that didn’t were stained with dirt and sand. Elijah returned as you were sitting down. – “I find it very strange.” – he started, arms crossed. You flashed your gaze up to him. – “How the puncture holes clearly tried to resemble teeth, but they were too close together for that.” – he went on.
“Are you saying you didn’t kill them?” – you joked out. Elijah looked down at you. – “Yes.” – he let you know. You got up coming to face him. – “And I didn’t hurt your sister.” – you told him making him roll his eyes at you. – “Do you see that!” – you pointed out some scratch marks on the farthest wall. – “Did the scratches look remotely like that?” – you asked loud. Elijah stared at the marks, as they were nothing alike. He started thinking. Pacing around the room.
“If we didn’t do this… then someone must have gone through a great length to put us up against each other.” – Elijah explained thoughtfully. – “We are each other’s enemies.” – you stated sitting back down. – “Yes and what common enemy do we have?” – Elijah asked gesturing at you. It made you widen your eyes. – “Witches.” – Elijah spoke as it all made sense now. – “The question is why would they do this?”
You pulled your shoulders up, feeling a bit tired from shovelling day and night. – “Tired Wolfie?” – Elijah teased. – “Bite me.” – you responded snappy. Elijah was about to leave as you got up, holding him back by his arm. – “I want to kill them. Do not take this hunt from me.” – you told him. – “Afraid I wouldn’t share furry?” – Elijah responded with a chuckle. – “Watch it sucker before I actually rip your chest open.” – you threatened back.
You let go of his arm, taking a step back. Elijah looked up to the ceiling, knowing what kind of night it would be. – “It’s a full moon tonight.” – he said. – “I’ll be fine!” – you told him picking your dirty cloths. – “Without your pack?” – he asked concerned. It made you furrow your brows a bit. – “I’ve been on my own before.” – you answered walking past him to the laundry basket. Dropping the clothing in it. – “Go home.” – you told him leaving out the door to go collect some fire wood.
You were surprised to see Elijah had stayed despite you telling him to leave. – “I thought I told you to leave.” – you said dropping the firewood before the stove. – “You shouldn’t be on your own.” – he responded. – “I don’t need your babysitting.” – you snapped annoyed at him. Elijah walked up to you, kneeling beside you to help you out. – “I could bite your head off.” – you warned him. Elijah chuckled loud. – “I’d like to see you try.” – he responded. – “You should’ve told me, I would’ve dug another grave just for you.” – you teased flashing a smile at him.
The two of you sat down, waiting for the moon to come. You felt it was close, getting up. Elijah got up as well with a worried expression. – “Stay inside!” – you ordered him, heading for the door. He took a step closer to you, making you make your warning even clearer. – “I said stay!” – with a glare, you wanted him to listen. – “Woof.” – Elijah answered bursting in laughter as you didn’t find it funny at all. You left the cabin, taking your distance from it. Moving more towards the riverbanks. The first crack of your bones, made you scream loud, sinking to the ground. A second and third crack dislocated your arms.
Screaming loud in terror, your eyes flashed yellow. Elijah rushed outside, coming to your aid. – “Y/n.” – he said with worry. – “Leave!” – you cried out to him, panting from the pain. Another crack in your back made you scream in agony. Teeth bared as you pushed Elijah back. Elijah fell back, staring with wide eyes as you transformed into a wolf. He held a protective hand in front of him as you snarled at him. Teeth bared as you slowly approached him. – “Y/n…” – Elijah said gently not sure if you would hear him. He kept moving his head back as you neared.
Seeing the wild in your eyes. He gulped soft thinking you were truly going to bite his head off. Your nose neared his hand, sniffing his smell. Growling loud, your body purred with vibration. Then your mouth closed, your eyes seemingly softening up to him. Elijah’s eyes stood wide as you licked his hand. Lowering his hand, he saw the gentle change in you. You seemingly seemed to bow your head at him. Elijah exhaled loud as you brushed past him, running into the wilderness. Elijah returned to the cabin, waiting on the porch for your return. He staid up all night, waiting for the early morning glory. From between the trees, you returned.
Panting loud as your paws tripled back to the cabin. Exhausted you laid yourself down in front of the porch, changing with the morning sun back into yourself. Elijah undid his vest, laying it over your naked body. You pulled his vest closer around him as he picked you up. Carrying you back inside. He laid you on your bed, placing a blanket over you. Returning to the living room, he waited for you to return.
You had woken up and got dressed. Shyly you presented yourself to Elijah. – “I still have my head.” – he chuckled out. It made you chuckle back. Elijah approached you, placing a hand on your arm. – “How are you feeling?” – he asked. – “Like hell.” – you told him with a faint smile. You caught yourself staring at him, tearing your gaze away from him. – “You… you should go home… I’m out of the clearing so… no… no need to babysit me anymore.”
Elijah looked pitiful at you. Missing your gaze as he wanted to hold it a bit longer. – “You are still not fine Y/n.” – he said reaching out to you. – “Elijah.” – you responded moving his hand away from you. – “We… we are enemies.” – you reminded him. – “We don’t need to be…” – he responded. – “Let’s… let’s just find those witches.” – you answered as Elijah took a step back. – “Of course.” – he said.
*************************************************************
“You are dead!” – you called out, eyes flashing a bright twinkling yellow. Elijah bared his teeth beside you, his eyes darkening. The witches in front of you screaming loud. You started running for one of them. Elijah reached one of the witches in seconds, snapping their neck before she would utter a word. Her lifeless body dropped to the ground, making some of her sisters scream in tears at the loss of their sister.
You jumped on a witch, wrapping your legs around her as you dug your teeth into her neck. Ripping a piece of her flesh off. She screamed loud, sinking to the ground as you went down with her. Elijah was fighting off a witch as another one focused on you. Hand out as she said some magic. A deafening sound made you press your hands against your ears in terror. Crying loud at the immense pain she was causing you. Elijah grunted loud, rushing over to the witch. He broke her hand making her scream in pain. He then bared his teeth at her neck, biting through her neck.
“Y/n!” – Elijah rushed over to you, kneeling. – “Are you alright?” – he asked, holding his hands against your cheeks. You noticed a witch behind him with a dagger. Ready to throw it as you shoved Elijah aside, rolling over with him. The dagger flew above your heads, clattering to the ground.
Pushing yourself off Elijah, you ran up to her, punching her across the face. She stumbled back as another one wanted to approach you from the back. Elijah grabbed them firm by their clothing, tossing them back against a wall. Not one needed to lay a finger on you. Kicking the witch in her stomach, she stumbled back.
Elijah came standing behind her, breaking her neck as you heard the crack. Her body dropped before you to the ground. Elijah and you panting loud as you stared at each other. Elijah rushed up to you, grabbing a hold of you as he pressed his lips to yours. You kissed him back, feeling the world melt around you.

Happy Halloween! Ghost Trick-or-Treat!
I thought more about the Halloween AU I drew last year and expanded upon it. Which one is your favorite?
Under the readmore are notes about it, but there are outright SPOILERS and a slightly creepy spoiler image at the very bottom. Be warned and Happy Halloween!
Lynne and Missile - Witch and her Familiar
Kamila and Sissel - Werewolf Pup Witch and Ghost
Cabanela and Jowd - Vampire and Werewolf
Alma - Werewolf Banshee
Yomiel - (old timeline) Frankenstein's Monster
(new timeline/reset) Witch
I think monsters can be mixed with other Halloween monsters because I really like the Jowd household being a family of werewolves.
Kamila really admires Lynne and wants to be a witch like her. So, in the old timeline, Kamila studies witchcraft under Lynne and Missile is a shared familiar.
Yomiel is also a witch, but got hit by the meteor in the old timeline, rendering him a zombie/Frankenstein's monster. Sissel was Yomiel's familiar and still stayed by Yomiel's side as a ghost.
In the new timeline, Yomiel transfers Sissel to be Kamila's familiar to help her with her witch training (Uncle Yomi friendship real), but Kamila keeps Sissel's bond to Yomiel so they share Sissel as a ghost familiar.
Don't know if any of this actually works or makes sense, but I like it and I like thinking about which ghost trick character is which Halloween monster. Vampire Cabanela and Werewolf Jowd also give me life.
Enjoy this image of Banshee Alma screaming before her demise!

Mage Player Character Rules in Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy
Eureka has six playable "monster" types, and about ten total supernatural character options all together. Each supernatural trait is taken basically as if it is a normal trait like the ones you have been seeing us post. You cannot give a character more than one supernatural trait--and from what you are about to read, you probably wouldn't want to. Playing monsters is recommended for "advanced" players only, people who like a lot of "crunch" in their games, as require you to keep track of a lot more mechanics than playing a normal human.
Here is the Mage Trait. Mage aren't actually classified as Monsters, they're classified as "Misc. Supernatural," but even then their mechanics can be crunchy. This is going under a Read More because it's long as hell but we really hope that you will check it out and comment. This is, like, the whole entire ruleset for playing a mage in Eureka.
You may also have read about "mage powers" in the Changeling, Fairy, and Fairytale Witch rulesets. Well, this is where those come from.
Mage (Misc. Supernatural Trait)
A “mage”[2] in Eureka is an otherwise normal person with one or more inexplicable powers.[1] Unlike the Fairytale Witch, a Mage’s powers are always innate. They may or may not know where this supernatural ability came from, and having it may or may not have indirectly influenced the direction their life has taken, but it is easy enough to hide without structuring any of their day-to-day life around actively hiding it.
[1 off to the side in the final formatting] Though it is usually only one.
[2 off to the side in the final formatting] Though they are more likely to call themselves “something-kinetic,” “mutant,” or “freak.”
A mage has one or more Mage Powers [change mage traits to mage abilities], with their body under more strain the more of them they were born with. This strain is represented by the Composure roll they make when putting a non-skill supernatural ability to use. They cannot have more than six. [make it clear in the witch section that witches can only have one Mage ability at once.]
One Mage Power: +3
Two Mage Powers: +1
Three Mage Powers: +0
Four Mage Powers: -1
Five Mage Powers: -2
Six Mage Powers: -3
[snoop: A Genevya snoopette hovering while machetes are floating around her. Ask blue for more details]
Mage Power List
Glamor (Mage Power)
This character can make themselves appear supernaturally attractive for the duration of one scene. Turning on this power counts as using a supernatural ability and takes one Movement. While this power is active, apply a +2 Base bonus to this character’s Charm and Seduce skills. This investigator can also spend 1 Eureka! Point to completely alter their outward appearance and voice to look like someone else, so long as their general body frame and height are not altered significantly. This investigator can spend 2 Eureka! Points to completely alter their appearance, including height, apparent weight, and sex. In order to match a specific person’s look, the investigator must either have a reference to study, such as the person themself or a high-quality photograph, to make their disguise match a specific person’s appearance. Either way, this counts as use of a non-skill supernatural ability and only lasts for the duration of one Scene.
Healing Touch (Mage Power)
This character’s touch has the power to restore and revitalize living flesh. Add +2 to the number of HP restored by any Medicine roll, even a Failure. Does not heal undead.
Incredible Strength (Mage Power)
This character’s physical prowess far exceeds their apparent musculature. This character is considered to have superhuman strength, as well as a +2 Base bonus to Athletics and +1 Base bonus Close Combat.
[snoop: A snoop lifting a barbell meant for two hands with only one “hand”.]
Invisibility (Mage Power)
The character in question can make themselves impossible to see with the naked eye. There are a number of ways to interpret this, and it is important to decide in no uncertain terms how it works beforehand. Does it include the character’s clothes, or do they have to strip naked to avoid looking like a floating outfit? Do they have to leave their own eyes visible to catch light, or do they not need to worry about that? Is this true invisibility, or are they merely changing the color of their skin to match the environment, and does it work while they are moving? Make sure to consider all of these things before the first session. Regardless, this character may turn invisible or turn visible again at any time, each of which count as use of a supernatural ability, and takes 1 Movement if in combat. While invisible, apply a +10 Base bonus to their Stealth skill.
[off to the side in the final formatting] Our recommended drawback for this ability is that the user must be naked in order to not be given away by their clothes floating in the air.
[Snoop: One snoop looking around confused while an invisible snoop represented by nothing but a pair of eyes sneaks past. ]
Lightning Powers (Mage Power)
This investigator can generate high-voltage shocks in their body. It takes a short amount of time, or one Turn, counting as an action, to build up a charge, and also counts as use of a supernatural ability. After building up a charge, they can power, or short out, an electronic device that they touch, within reason.[1] In order to power an electronic device, they must actually touch the wires or other components that would normally touch the power supply.[2] For each minute or Round of combat that the investigator powers a device, they must make the supernatural ability Composure roll.
[1 off to the side in the final formatting] They could not take the place of a nuclear power plant and power an entire city, for instance, but jumping a car, keeping the lights of a house on, etc. would be within their limits.
[2 off to the side in the final formatting] For instance, they could not power a flashlight just by holding it by the handle, they must actually touch the components that the battery would touch. The investigator is essentially acting as the battery, and if they stop touching the device, it will be as if the battery was removed.
This investigator ability can use this ability in combat as well. After charging up, the next person to touch this investigator either with their own body or any kind of highly conductive weapon will be dealt a powerful electric shock for 4 Superficial Damage if the incoming attack is a Full Success and 2 Superficial Damage if the incoming attack is a Partial Success. This can be used offensively by combining it with any unarmed melee attack, or with a weapon made of a highly conductive material.[1] When attacking like this, only one roll is made, counting for both damage sources.[2]
[1 off to the side in the final formatting] The investigator must be actually touching the same conductive material that is impacting the target for this to work. For instance, a knife with a metal blade but a rubber handle would not deliver a charge.
[2 off to the side in the final formatting] Full Success = Full regular attack damage + 4 Superficial Damage from electricity.
Partial Success = Half regular attack damage + 2 Superficial Damage from electricity.
Failure = No damage, as usual.
Once an electric charge has been discharged, it must be built up again.
For 1 Eureka! Point, this investigator can build up a massive charge.[1] This massive charge can be unleashed in a direction of the investigator’s choice where it will jump up to 15 feet towards the nearest conductive thing in that direction. This lightning will jump 1D6 times, alway jumping to the next nearest point of conduction starting from the investigator. It does not discriminate between friend and foe.
[1 off to the side in the final formatting] This takes the same amount of time to generate as a normal charge, and takes an action.
Manifest Weaponry (Mage Power)
This character is able to produce 2 short semi-transparent hovering blades about the size of machetes at will, which they can control without touching them. This counts as one Movement. At the cost of one Eureka! Point, 4 blades can be summoned instead. For combat purposes, each pair of blades counts as a separate single dual-wielding combatant independent of the character who summoned them, with their own actions and place in the turn-order. A pair of blades can only make Basic Melee Attacks, but cannot be attacked themselves, and uses their owner’s Close Combat skill. They can also benefit from the Ambidextrous trait if their owner has this trait.
Their Speed will always be twice the Speed of their owner, however, they will vanish when out of the owner’s line of sight, and suffer an attack penalty of -1 for every 15 feet they travel away from their owner.
0-14 feet: -0
15-29 feet: -1
30-44 feet: -2
45-59 feet: -3
60-74 feet: -4
75-89 feet: -5
90-104 feet: -6
105-120 feet: -7
etc.
[snoop: A snoopette with four hovering machetes around her shoulders.]
Psychic Detective (Mage Power)
When this investigator is about to make an Investigative Roll with any skill they can, as a supernatural ability, instead replace the skill they were going to use to investigate with the Blacked Out skill, and it is otherwise treated like a regular Investigative Roll and gives the same information as the skill it is replacing. If one of these Investigative Rolls is made towards either a weapon the use of which is relevant to the investigation, or a wound that is relevant to the investigation, then regardless of the roll’s outcome this investigator will take Superficial Damage equivalent to half of the weapon’s regular damage, and must make a Composure Check as if they had been hit by this weapon. However, the Narrator does not tell the player exactly what the weapon is, just its damage and its category for the purpose of Composure Checks. The Narrator will also tell the player whether the damage dealt was Superficial or Penetrative, though the actual damage taken to this investigator will always be Superficial.
[off to the side in the final formatting] For example, if the investigator uses this ability to make an Investigative Roll towards a murder victim’s body to determine the cause of death, and the cause of death was a gunshot wound, the Narrator would tell his player that this investigator takes 2 Superficial Damage (Bullets normally deal 4 Penetrative Damage, but this Trait converts that to Superficial Damage and cuts it in half.) and must make a Gunfight Composure Check.
[off to the side in the final formatting] Wearing armor does not reduce this damage.
Pyrokinesis (Mage Power)
This character can start small fires with their mind. In order to do this, the target must be reasonably flammable, such that it would ignite if a match was held to it, and also be visible to the character. If time is measured in Turns this counts as a Movement. “Visible” usually means that it is in the character’s immediate vicinity. The Narrator should be very careful if allowing this power to target things seen in video feeds or photographs. We generally do not recommend this interpretation. If attempted in combat or any other situation where time is being measured in rounds, this takes one action. Anything highly flammable, such as paper, flammable gas, or kindling will catch fire guaranteed. For anything marginally flammable, such as hair, most clothing, and thicker wood, roll 1D6. On a 1-3, the targeted object will not catch fire; on a 4-6, it will catch fire. Subtract -1 for each factor present that would make it harder for something to catch fire, such as if the object is wet or if there is high wind speed. If fire is set to someone’s hair or clothes in this way, they will have 1 round to extinguish it before it starts to cause damage. After the first round, it will deal 1 Superficial Damage on the burning character’s turn until extinguished.
In addition, rather than just starting a small fire, this investigator can spend a Eureka! Point to instantly set something ablaze in a burning inferno, so long as it is at all reasonably flammable. If this is done to a character, the burning character will take 2 Superficial Damage each time it is their own turn until extinguished. See: Splash Explosions for more rules regarding burning damage.
[off to the side in the final formatting] Unlike a true Splash Explosion, however, this ability can only target one character or object at a time.
[Snoop: One snoop shooting ‘mind beams’ at another snoop’s butt who is running around with their butt on fire.]
Telekinesis (Mage Power)
This character can affect, push, pull, lift, etc. objects without physically touching them. Anything a character could do with their hand, this character can do with telekinesis, unless the action somehow requires a hand specifically, such as using a thumbprint recognition scanner. For any usage of this ability that would require an Athletics check if it were to be done with the physical body, use an Athletics modifier of +2, regardless of the investigator’s actual Athletics stat. This investigator can use this ability to lift themselves and/or others into the air, though their speed while hovering cannot exceed a walking pace. This investigator can use their telekinesis to make a Grab attack against another character from a distance. All Grabbing and Holding rules apply, including Submission, except that the Grabber and the Target do not have to be touching. This investigator can spend 1 Eureka! Point to exert up to 500 pounds of pressure on an object for 1 round. This takes an action. This pressure could be used for a variety of purposes, such as lifting, crushing, etc. If used to crush a character, this deals 4 Penetrative Damage and ignores Armor.
[off to the side in the final formatting] When Grabbing with the telekinesis, this does not use the investigator’s own Athletics, it will always be a total modifier of +1; +2 from the telekinesis, -1 from the Grab action.
[off to the side in the final formatting] If this is being done from outside the range of the target’s weapon, the target cannot make a Counter-Attack. Additionally, the target must know who is attempting to Grab them in order to make a Counter-Attack.
[Snoop: A snoopette hovering in a lazy/smug relaxed position looking at another snoop who is significantly more distressed about being lifted into the air.]
Teleportation (Mage Power)
This character can teleport, instantly transporting themselves to their destination. They can teleport to any location they can clearly see within 100 yards. If done in combat, this takes an action. At the cost of 3 flat composure points per additional person, this investigator can teleport with other people so long as they are touching them.
At the cost of 1 Eureka! Point, this investigator can teleport to anywhere in the world that they have been before and can clearly picture in their mind. This costs 1 additional Eureka! Point per additional person they are bringing with, in addition to the Composure cost.
Superhuman Speed (Mage Power)
When this ability is activated, this investigator’s body is capable of moving faster than regular physics dictate it should, but not faster than the human eye can track. This ability must be activated on a per-Scene basis, and doing so confers a +3 Composure check. This takes a Movement. While this ability is active, add a +3 Base to this investigator’s Reflexes skill, a +3 Base bonus to any melee attack roll, and a -3 penalty to any other character’s melee attack roll targeting this character, and a -1 to any other character’s firearm or projectile attack roll targeting this character if this character is ducking or running perpendicular to the shooter. While this ability is active this investigator also has an Acceleration of +8.
Werewolf (Mage Power)
The character may transform into a large, tailless wolf. This takes 1 Action if done in combat. In this form, they can only attack with their jaws. To attack with jaws, make a Grab attack. So long as the target is Grabbed, all other aspects of Grabbing apply, but they also take 2 Penetrative damage each time it is the character’s turn with no roll needed. This damage can be reduced by armor or by any other damage reduction such as that of the Unkillable trait. They gain a +4 Contextual bonus to Senses rolls involving hearing and smell. They also gain a +1 Base bonus to Close Combat, and a +4 Base bonus to Stealth. +4 Acceleration.
While in wolf form, werewolves are capable of Scent Tracking. (See p.xx “Scent Tracking”.)
[Snoop: An image of a tree with a wolf tail sticking out from one side and a snoop ‘skin’ hanging from a coat hanger right next to it.]
Note: ‘Werewolves’ as they appear in most historical folklore do not really fit into the Monster category. They don’t have any particular weaknesses besides the weaknesses that regular humans have, nor are they really even that dangerous compared to other Monster types. For this reason, this Trait is considered a Mage Power. For a more ‘hollywood’ take on werewolves, see Wolfman.
