#when i play a bard in a game that’s not fhmm or a dungeon. they you’ll all see#i love them SO much is the thing they’re so versatile and subclasses are so cool and different and make SENSE#i simply spent SO much time bard spiraling yesterday#because the thing is. eloquence bards. but then i started thinking abt how they’re also different from other subclasses#bc all of them are so unique and good :pleadcat:#thinking about. more getting magical secrets at level 6 as a manifesting of how they’re about knowledge preserving history and connection#glamour stuff that’s like. draw attention and then don’t let people hit you#dirge bards.........:#and just!! got!! it’s so COOL to be so high cha so based in performance and grabbing attention as a class but then. you’re support!#filling the gaps as needed. making everyone around you better. it’s SO!#and we’ve all heard how i don’t love clerics relying on rng but i LOVE it for bards#the meta of bardics being your Thing and how that’s trust in the dice to tell the right story#the story that should be told will be told! but you can help it along!#connecting to people in all these different ways. how all the subclasses do it a little differently#i just think it’s Sexy how different they all are! lore is nothing like eloquence is nothing like creation and so on#dnd hours#it’s about connection and presentation and that’s SO!
