Since my story is a D&D campaign, if people want to know, I will happily share some of the more game-y stuff behind the characters! (@talesfromaurea & @hellishhin i know you guys were interested! Here you go :D)
As of right now in the story, they’re about level 4! By the end of the campaign though they get to level 15.
Faulkron:
- Dark Elf/Drow Fighter (Champion)
- In a little bit (story-wise), my friend hit a lucky streak and the power of the protagonist™ kicks in. Faulkron gets... terrifying. He’s technically still “just a fighter” but he’s really really good at fighting. Like, scary hyper competent. I mean, he started with almost maxed strength, and it only got better.
- He did a lot of damage, consistently rolled high. Sadly, he doesn’t get better armor than leather for a while, but once he does he really wrecks the enemies’ shit, goes full Stronk™ and really starts just soaking attacks.
- He was a fun character for me to see my friend play because he had no clue about any of the “fighters are boring” things that people say, and so he felt free to just play without worry. He just had fun with him and went for it. He wasn’t the most complicated mechanics-wise, but he still was interesting and had personality, so it worked fine.
- Also, although he is a dark elf, and his parents were from the caverns beneath the earth like usual, he was raised on a small farm on the surface by a human, and so he is very different than many other dark elves, especially if they were raised in the Underdark. His darkvision is a little different due to his eyes having to deal with more light than most dark elves, and though he could do the elvish trance instead of sleeping he usually chooses to sleep instead, because of being raised by a human. (In my world, elves can choose to sleep if they want.)
Fuego:
Halfling Sorcerer/Rogue
- Being from Zul’Zagan, he is equivalent to a Lightfoot halfling
- His subclasses are a bit wonky: Draconic origins for sorcerer (although he doesn’t know it yet), assassin for rogue (eventually. We’re also not quite there in the story yet.)
- Despite what you may expect, does not only have fire spells. It is a near thing, but not quite. The variety increases as he gets higher up.
- He also wanted to do some cool flavor things (which I’m always game for) so his abilities look a little different than standard.
- An example, his sneak attack damage is reflavored to be him heating his weapon. He also wanted his draconic bloodline to be more dormant, so he doesn’t have any of the bodily alterations or know draconic, he’s just very good at fire (as far as he knows). That’s also why he doesn’t know what type of dragon he related to.
- Fuego was big on DPS but low on defense (of course) so he was usually having to be protected by/hidden behind somebody else (Shakari or Jetra most often)
Jetra:
- Human Bard (Valor)
- I would’ve done Lore bard because of her love for finding secrets, save the fact that I wanted her to have learned from both her parents. Her mother was a singer/performer and taught her to sing, and then her father, the Paladin, taught her how to create magic and how to fight. So she mixed that all up and boom, Valor bard.
- Jetra was definitely the most “utility caster” of the group. She had healing, buffs, pretty much something for everything. And a sword, if it came to that. She was easily the most adaptable of the group in and out of combat.
- She also spoke a bunch of languages, including Leinai (the one spoken in Leinos, since she was born there), Common, Celestial, Draconic, and was learning Azerian at the beginning of the campaign.
Shakari:
- Blue Dragonborn Fighter (Eldritch Knight)
- She was yet another Fighter, but she was designed to be more of a mid-range fighter so as not to get steal Faulkron’s spotlight. Since the khopesh could be thrown and summoned back b/c of Eldritch Knight stuff, it worked fine.
- They were very high DPS, especially with their spells/lightning breath, and then they’d finish the enemies off with a good ol’ sword attack (or just to help teammates out).
- At the later levels she takes some more utility spells (since she couldn’t those first few levels because of Eldritch Knight rules), but she’s still mostly damage.
- Also a neat lore note, Eldritch Knight is not called the same thing among her people, but it is a traditional position in the deserts she came from, and some of the other Azerian tribes.
Alejandro:
- Human Fighter (Gladiator*)
- *Gladiator is just a slightly modified version of the Samurai
- Unfortunately, I never had planned on Alejandro being a key NPC, so I had to come up with him over the course of the campaign. Thankfully, he ended up complementing Faulkron’s fighting style well (DEX based as opposed to Faulkron’s STR based build), and they made a really good tag team playing off of each other (once they trusted each other more, of course.)
- He ended up being a pretty formidable fighter in his own right, so he and Faulkron together was truly an intimidating duo. While Faulkron was tanking massive hits and dealing some of his own, Alejandro would run around with his bazillion attacks and chip away at the enemy with his swords.
- I also gave him a high charisma, being the gladiator that he was. But also just. Hot.
•••
Anyways, having three fighters in the group was probably not a great idea in retrospect, but that’s how it ended up. Everyone in the current party has swords and that’s sexy of them, honestly. Another funny note is that they all have decent charisma too, everyone but the main character. Shakari had 13 CHA as a dragonborn, Alejandro had a CHA 14 just as a stat investment (again because Hot), Jetra had 16 because she was a bard obviously, Fuego had a 17 because he was a sorcerer. Faulkron had the lowest at 9. He does end up increasing it over the campaign, it ends up at 16 or something so he’s fine, but for the first part of the story he’s not so good with people.
All in all, they had a good dynamic with lots of potential for ass kicking which they definitely utilized, so who cares? Anyways, just neat stuff.

Theater Stories: Our Costume Designer
My brother, my sister, and I are all involved in the theater, to varying degrees. Though we got a bit of a late start (I was 15 in my first official production), we had done plenty of unofficial playacting with my grandparents (the scripts being provided mainly by me), and, as such, we adjusted quite well to official stage performances.
Most of our shows are produced by a local theater group called The Schoolhouse of Music. It’s mostly children’s theater (the “mostly” being because college kids like me, who started acting there earlier, can still participate if they want to do so.) In spite of this fact, we have an amazing costume designer, whose name is Ms. Combs.
Here’s the plays that at least one of us has done with Schoolhouse of Music so far:
The Wizard of Oz (my sister as the Doorkeeper in Oz)
The Addams Family (all three of us as ghosts, and my sister as one of three five-foot-tall female soprano Lurches)
Shrek (my sister as the Dragon and my brother as Lord Farquad)
Beauty and the Beast (me as the Enchantress, my sister as the Wardrobe, and my brother as Gaston)
Grease (my brother as Eugene and my sister as Cha-Cha)
101 Dalmatians Jr. (my brother as either Horace or Jasper-can’t remember which)
Miracle on 34th Street (my brother and I were in the ensemble; I was also a nurse, a mom, and the Baliff for the courtroom scenes)
The Jungle Book (my brother as Baloo)
Les Miserables (my brother as Thenadier)
Mary Poppins (my brother as Burt)
The Lion King Jr. (my brother as Mufasa)
Into the Woods (my brother as Cinderella’s Prince)
Newsies (my brother as Crutchie)
Peter Pan (my brother as Captain Hook)
Descendants (my sister as Mal, my brother as Jay and Jafar, and me as Maleficent and Belle)
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Sam as Bob, me as Helen Armstrong)
Ms. Combs’ costuming has been excellent for all of them.
Sam and I are also currently rehearsing for Willy Wonka Jr. I’m Ms. Teavee, and he’s Willy Wonka. I don’t know what the costumes for it are going to look like yet.
Anyway, one of the things that makes Ms. Combs’ costuming so good is her surprising fidelity to historical accuracy in terms of costumes, accessories, hair, and even makeup. Here’s a rundown of the plays I’ve been in.
The Addams Family: Most of the costumes for this one weren’t super interesting, since Lurch just wears a suit and we were ensemble members the rest of the time. My costume was a Medieval-style Halloween costume in black and red, but treated in such a way that all the colors were washed out (to make me look more like a ghost), and she added some lace to the bottom of the dress to make it look longer (and tattered, since I was a ghost). I also had a flower headband. Really, the most complicated part of my costume was the makeup (my hands and face had to be white, and my eyes had to have black circles around them) and my hair (we had to use hairspray to make it look white). My brother, whose costume was basically white clothing and a sailor hat (since he was a sailor ghost), was in a similar boat. My sister, who, in addition playing Lurch, was also a Flapper Ghost, had the same make-up requirements, wore a flapper-style dress that might have been a Halloween costume....and actual 1920s period gloves! That was pretty cool.
Beauty and the Beast: Obviously, since it’s a Disney play, historical accuracy wasn’t as big a deal for this one, but Ms. Combs still did good work. My brother, being Gaston, basically wore the same costume throughout (it was close to what Gaston wore in the movie). For some reason he never wore a wig, though, resulting in a Gaston with short, blonde hair. My sister, who was the wardrobe, had a 18th-century style wig, a huge dress with a hoop skirt, and then had to wear the wardrobe piece on top of that. It was so big that she actually got stuck backstage at one point during rehearsels. While I had a very nice costume as one of the Villagers in the ensemble, the more interesting costume I wore was as the Enchantress.
When I went onstage as the Enchantress, I was wearing, in order: my theater changing clothes, the skirt I wore as the Villager (since I had to change into that costume really fast), a long red dress, a black-and-white overlayer that was really heavy (since it had rhinestones on it), and a black cape that was used when the Enchantress was disguising herself as an old lady. It was a little hard to move around in, but it looked REALLY cool.
Miracle on 34th Street: This play is set in the 1940s, so for much of the play I was wearing a black-and-white checked dress that I really liked (it was what I wore in my speaking part as a child’s mother). I also wore a nurse’s uniform (for my scene as a nurse), and put a black jacket on over the dress when I played the bailiff. I don’t really remember Sam’s part much at all, mainly because his main song got cut and so he didn’t get to do much. What I do remember is tripping over Santa’s sleigh backstage.
Descendants: My sister was Mal, and she had a number of costumes. The leather jacket was the coolest one though, especially since it really looked like the one in the movie. She also had to wear a purple wig. Sam’s Jay and Jafar costumes were a little similar looking, but they both looked good, too. He didn’t have to wear a wig, meaning we had a strangely blonde Jay. As Belle, I had three yellow dresses, with the one at the end being my favorite since it looked exactly like the one she wore in the ballroom scene from Beauty and the Beast. I also had two crowns. As Maleficent, I wore a purple dress with long sleeves under what appeared to be a Maleficient Halloween costume (based on her appearance in Sleeping Beauty). Ms. Combs also added some feathers at the neck and wrists. I also got to wear horns that seemed to be based on the ones from the 2014 Maleficent movie, and I got makeup that actually made me look a lot like Maleficent (just wearing glasses). It was a really cool costume (even if the horns of the headpiece kept getting caught on things).
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: This play is set in 1960, so Ms. Combs leaned heavily into the designs from the era. My brother, who wore a suit for most of the play as Bob, the husband of the lead character, slicked his hair back in the 1950s style. (He also wore a bathrobe for the pageant itself). I played Mrs. Armstrong (functionally the main antagonist), and I had three outfits: a blue one, with a corresponding blue hat, a gown (which I wore in the scenes where I was in the hospital), and a red dress (with a corresponding red hat). I loved all three of these outfits. The hats were actually from the 1950s, as was the jewelry I wore, and when the costume gloves that the other older girls were wearing were too big for me, she also gave me period gloves (which did fit, because I have tiny hands). It made me really nervous, but it was really cool. She also styled my hair (as well as the other high school girls’ and college women’s hair) in 1950s styles, and even made sure that we wore our makeup in the way that women did in the 1950s. There’s a reason Ms. Combs’ costuming is one of the best parts of our performances .
Thank you, Ms. Combs.

Detroit recap 3/8/20
Ok, I promised a couple people a concert review for last night so here goes. Set list, pictures, a couple of videos, and whatever my sleep-deprived brain can remember under the cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We (me and @clarwyn and our cousin) got there about an hour ahead of doors, and there were only a couple people outside, which was surprising until we got to the front door and found that they were actually lining people up inside, which was nice! Turned out there was about one full row of people in front of us and we ended up in the second row, dead center. Really, really cool spot—I think closer would have just been harder to see the whole stage.
They are still using the Gypsy intro, which has good energy to it to walk (or run, if you’re Marty) out to. The first song was Dead, which kind of tickles me for some reason. Like ‘Here’s an introduction of what we’re *really* about, folks.’ Then we got the self-titled track, and warmed up our dance moves with Twisting (I can still twist.) We Want a Rock was the first song that hit me hard as a ‘everybody is singing this and I’m singing it and they’re watching me sing it and it’s both weird and good’ moment. I get a lot of those in the second row, apparently.
Tumblr media
They took a talking break and, as usual, were very, very funny. I’m going to get these out of order but I think this was where Flans asked Linnell if he’d been out and done anything that day, and Linnell said he’d basically just napped because it had been a long drive from Chicago. He was happy that he had coffee, which he’d made with a paper towel instead of a filter but it was not bad.  Flans said he’d been out sleeping in public places, and then stressed that he was not a heroin addict. Linnell agreed that they were not heroin addicts but pointed out that “only heroin addicts have to say that. Thank you for coming to our intervention.”
Tumblr media
More Flood tracks next, I thought they followed the feel of the album really closely on Minimum Wage (kind of amazing for a sample-based track). Hearing Aid got some excellent Kaoss Pad action as I recall. All very cool. Particle Man got the Main Squeeze pulled out, of course, and they are using the Sun Ra breakdown (“Triangle Man take off for the planet... Venus!”) and making a proper deal about it; Curt gets to stretch out a little on that one and it’s fun.
Here’s the video I took for StillooB, complete with intro banter: pardon my inability to hold still for this song (I was kind of trying to sing quietly along, in the hopes that there would be a contingent of us in the front who know at least some of the words, because I think that could be as funny for them as the song is to us; luckily my singing isn’t audible on the video!)
youtube
Letterbox was next and that I sang as gustily as I could, even though those are very hard lyrics to keep up with. Somewhere around then I experienced the Linnell Stare (TM) complete with grin aimed at my section of the audience and my second-row concert-going experience was fully complete. Gaaaaah.
EDIT 2: I’m not sure anymore which song they introduced this way, but judging from the setlist is was probably Lucky Ball and Chain; they told us they hardly ever did fadeouts on their albums, and in fact originally could have practically defined themselves as “the band that doesn’t do fadeouts”; however this song would have one.  Flans then told us he had heard a supercut of the endings of AC/DC songs, who also evidently didn’t do fadeouts; he then proceeded to show us on guitar how all the songs ended: *bam. Bam, bam. BAM.*  I looked this up and it sounds exactly how he played it:
https://dangerousminds.net/comments/how_should_we_end_this_hilarious_supercut_of_ac_dc_song_endings
After playing Lucky Ball and Chain, Flans admitted that he couldn’t remember what was next in the set, and while he went over to the music stand on stage right to check, Linnell said it started with a buzzer sound, and also that it was off of Flood (which was obvious, as they were playing a Flood-only set). Clarwyn and I had different but related experiences here, which I shall relate: I heard somebody quietly call out “Hot Cha”, and I was feeling bold enough so I shouted it quite a bit louder. Unbeknownst to me, she had also shouted something, which she told me after was “That narrows it down!” Flans, having checked his set list, returned to the front of the stage and pointed in our direction, saying something like “Oh, hey, talkative girl! I see they let you go out!” I am pretty sure I turned beet-red while frantically looking around me, absolutely sure he meant me (and hoping he didn’t, like, somehow recognize me as the social-media-happy over-submitter-to-their-tumblr I am!) She says she thought he meant her, though. After a couple seconds Flans apologized with a “don’t worry, that was a joke!” and they proceeded to play Hot Cha. It took me the length of that song to stop feeling totally embarrassed, but I managed to get over it by dancing and singing along to everything.
They finished out Flood (except Istanbul), and Birdhouse followed by Road Movie was a good ending, with the added middle verse in Road Movie that nobody seems to know yet (I couldn’t remember it even though I’ve heard it), and then the Flood set was over.  Flans informed us they were going to take a 15 minute break for the next 45 minutes (it was actually about 20).
Set two started as a quiet storm trio set, starting with Music Jail (very nice on acoustic guitar and accordion, plus Marty on the electronic kit). Apparently Flans has been writing “2018” on the set lists to mean 2082, which makes me laugh. (Also the song makes me laugh!) I think this was the one where Marty drummed on Flans’ guitar in a number of key measures with his mallets, and Flans said it was the first time they’d done that live, and it absolutely killed me, especially when Flans accidentally moved to far away and Marty had to really reach. Flans said people might not want to do that with their expensive guitars, and Linnell replied they might not want to do it with their expensive mallets.
EDIT: They introduced 2082 (I think it was this one) with a little segue about how they had tested the song in front of test audiences and found out that people like hyper-violent songs.  They also played Wicked Little Critta in this set and Linnell went back to the Kaoss Pad and keyboard for that, of course. He’s either getting pretty amazingly good at pitch on the Kaoss, or else he’s found a way to modulate the pitch through the keyboard at the same time, vocoder-style (I’m pretty sure I saw him doing the latter).
Tumblr media
The crew struck the stage after the quiet storm to the tune of the Underwater Woman music video, which always kinda chokes me up. Ugh, those lyrics. And that bass line.
Further continuing my tendency to be a little choked up in the second set, they came back and played Wearing a Raincoat (!) next which I have never heard live before and which I have connected to on a personal level since I first heard it, for reasons. Oh man.
Tumblr media
After that, more new and not-quite-new high energy songs followed and I danced my little feet off to Communists and waved my arms to increasing speed to Damn Good Times and sang my heart out to New York City even though I have never been there.
Tumblr media
Curt Ramm played as good an Istanbul intro as I have heard before and we all tried very hard to scream at the right spots. I noticed he wiggles his eyebrows really hard when he’s trying to get us to do that. The Theme from Flood ended the set, which they informed us they had just learned was the optimal length for washing your hands. Flans thanked us for being a good audience, telling us that audiences that weren’t as fun were, in fact, less fun.
EDIT: No issues with the new Arturia MIDI controller, that I saw. Apparently the kinks have been worked out!  Linnell did brag about his new keyboard stand, which he said he got because people had been asking him how long he was going to keep using the old keyboard stand, so he got a new one that looks just like the old one (same color blue, at least, and still looks like a desk!)  He joked that he was storing his sandwiches in it.
They left the stage and we all set about clapping very hard to request an encore. After the usual length of time they came back, and we must have been clapping particularly hard at that point because Flans stopped us and informed us that the whole wait offstage during clapping was a bit of theater that they had instituted long ago so they would not look too nervous by running offstage and then right back on stage, admitting that of course they were nervous so it was all just theater anyway. “But that’s the nature of theater.” He also said something like “we’re asking you to give us something that isn’t actually good for us” which was a very humanizing take on the nature of applause and the performance/audience relationship, I thought.
I approximately died and went to Heaven when they brought out Fingertips for encore #1, and I managed to pull myself together in time to capture it on slightly less mobile video:
youtube
EDIT 3: I get no end of amusement watching the security guard’s face in that video, he does NOT look like he understands what he is listening to at all.
This was followed by Doctor Worm which is so. Good. Live.
Tumblr media
They went offstage again, we clapped them back on, and Linnell asked “was that the full sixty seconds?” Then they played End of the Tour, which I got very choked up in, under what felt like some particularly intense Linnell-Staring, and which I was sure was the end of the show.
It wasn’t! They followed it with The Guitar, which is my absolute favorite thing to see live, period. Only one very tiny keyboard-playing hop from Linnell, like he tried it and decided it was rather too energetic a move at that time of night, but still fantastic. I did not take the same approach and dug for my reserves of bouncing energy for that song, because it was totally worth it.
Clarwyn got a set list from Marty, we grabbed a late fast food supper at McDonalds, got a bit turned around by our GPS and then drove our very long drive home.
Here is Clarwyn’s set list:

A D&D 5e Build: Ron Stoppable
I did one of these sometime last year for Halloween and just wanted to do another, so here it is. First up: Why am I attempting to build Ron and /not/ KP? Simply put, Kim is a fairly straight forward build in 5e terms. She’s an Inquisitive Rogue with a single dip into Monk. You could give her some Fighter levels (that UA Unarmed Fighting Style is so tempting) to keep up with Shego’s combat prowess, but her brain is honestly her key feature, making those Rogue levels very valuable (11 at minimum as far as I’m concerned). She’s you’re basic, average girl, and she’s here to save the world. Ronald, on the other hand, is remarkable by just how unremarkable he is while still somehow keeping up with Kim. Barely. For those who didn’t watch Kim Possible when they were younger or don’t have Disney+, he might not even seem like an adventurer. But Ron’s amazing in game terms; he’s at that level of naco cheesiness I just love to play. Plus, he has Rufus, and everyone loves Rufus. Spoilers may appear.
Tumblr media
Let’s get into it:
I’m going to be using the standard point array from the PHB. If you would like to roll for stats, just keep in mind where to put your higher and lower rolls.
Ron’s 15 is going into Wisdom. He may seem like a totally inept doof, but he’s incredibly insightful and holds onto his own philosophies. Also, his best friend aside from KP is a naked mole rat (a very smart one at that, but that’s cartoon logic). I’m going to put 14 in Charisma. Ron isn’t intended on being conventionally attractive, but Charisma =/= being hot. It’s all about your presence and ability to get people to listen to you and consider what you’re saying. Ron is somehow able to casually talk with so many villains, so his CHA must be high. Also, he’s an honorary Pixie Scout. 13 is going straight into Constitution. He is R-unstoppable after all... He can take a real beating from even the more threatening foes and eats so many nacos that an above average CON is the only reason he hasn’t been hospitalized for his diet. I’ll give 12 to his Dexterity. He’s dodged lasers, booby traps, and incoming fire from all sorts of things. An adolescence of fighting robots and super-humans will leave you light on your feet and your hands. This may sound weird, but I’m giving his Strength the 10. He’s worked in retail and has lugged around some pretty heavy looking things. And that leaves Intelligence with 8. Ron isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. He says good stuff, but don’t ask him to tutor you for the upcoming exam unless it’s a subject he excels at without question. I know he was kind of a genius when he became evil that one time, but I’m going to rationalize that as his INT & WIS swapping places when his alignment got shifted. Ron’s a Neutral Good guy with Chaotic leanings, so going Evil is bound to mess with your brain in more ways than one.
STR 10 || DEX 12 || CON 13 || INT 8 || WIS 15 || CHA 14
Ron’s a Human of the Variant variety, but if you want to play him as a Bugbear, that’s cool I guess. I’m not your dad. I’m going to bump up his WIS to 16 and CON to 14. And I’m going to give him the Magic Initiate (Wizard) feat. Prestidigitation & Mending can reflect parts of his Movie Makeup Magic Kit, but I’m really taking this feat for Find Familiar so we can have Rufus right off the bat. He’ll also get the Animal Handling skill because Rufus loves him.
For his Background, I’m going with Entertainer for proficiency with Acrobatics, Performance, Disguise Kits, & a musical instrument of your choice. This solidifies his place as the Middleton Mad Dog mascot, the costume of which he made using his MMMK, and he has disguised himself as Mr. Dr. Possible & The Fearless Ferret. However, if you feel that the By Popular Demand feature doesn’t fit Ron quite right, go with the Rustic Hospitality feature from the Folk Hero background.
Oh boy, time for the class.
Ron is a Monk, first and foremost. Despite his clumsy, slacker nature, he’s incredible capable when it comes to dodging blows from Shego & Kim even with his hands behind his back. In addition to Martial Arts & Unarmored Defense, he’ll receive proficiency in Cooking Utensils, Insight, Stealth. He will continue down this class for some time, but what kind of Monk would he be? In the show, he eventually becomes the Supreme Monkey Master as recognized by Master Sensei (I know what you’re thinking.), so we should probably begin with looking for which subclass could best emulate Monkey Kung Fu.
There is a lot of history when it comes to Kung Fu, more than I’m going to type out. That’s not even to mention the 5 variations of the Tai Shing system. I bring this up because Ron’s arch-nemesis, Monkey Fist, is a pracitioner of Tai Shing Pek Kwar and probably would be best described as a user of Wooden Monkey. However, the beauty of 5e is that many different martial art styles can be emulated based on how you use your action economy and describe your attacks & movements. Flavor is everything.
If I were to put all the Monkey magic from the show aside, I would guess Ron could pass as a user of various styles due to him not being nearly trained as much as Monkey Fist in a particular discipline. For D&D 5e, he could be seen as a Drunken Master or Open Hand Monk, but he does have that Monkey magic, putting Four Elements on the table even if we want to say the more mystical side of his simian abilities are due to multiclassing.
At 2nd level, Ron gets access to Ki Points that he can use for Flurry of Blows, Step of the Wind, or Patient Defense. PD is especially handy for the sidekick who would rather avoid danger. He also gets Unarmored Movement which is incredibly useful for a guy like Ron. His running ability landed him a spot on the Middleton High School American football team. Crazy right?
With all that out of the way, I’m going to say once he reaches 3rd level of Monk, Ron will adopt the Way of the Four Elements, learning Elemental Attunement (a more elemental version of Prestidigitation that we can swap out later) & one other viable Four Elements Discipline of your choice. Fist of Unbroken Air is a great option for pushing a foe back while dealing damage. He also gets the ability to Deflect Missiles which is always good.
4th level Monks get the option for an Ability Score Increase or a feat. Take the Lucky feat. It’s honestly super impressive that Ron survived so long fighting baddies before he started his martial arts training. Remember, Kim Possible is one of those shows that has stuff going on off-screen, so there have been many missions between the episodes we see. Monks get Slow Fall here too; Ron falls a lot and this may be how he’s avoided concussions when he should clearly get one.
5th level gives Ron an Extra Attack and Stunning Strike. The best way to avoid a punch is to insure your opponent can’t even throw one. Also, your Martial Arts die is now a d6.
At 6th level, Ron can gain a new 4EleDis as well as swap one out for another. Drop Elemental Attument like I mentioned earlier for Gong of the Summit. This allows you to cast Shatter, and we can flavor this to be a sort of mystical monkey screech. Pick up Clench of the North Wind so you can cast Hold Person; KP will have an easier time boppin’ bad guys when they aren’t moving. Also, your unarmed strikes are now magical when it comes to overcoming resistance and immunity against non-magical attacks & damage. Talk about that Ron factor.
7th level Monks get Evasion for even more ways to avoid danger & Stillness of Mind; he may seem like a coward, but Ron Stoppable won’t be swayed into abandoning his friends.
8th level gives Ron another chance for an ASI/feat. Bump up DEX by 2 to 14 so you can start dealing more damage and have a higher AC. 15 isn’t great but PD has probably served you well if you’ve survived this long.
At 9th level, Ron’s Unarmored Movement is improved so you can have him run along walls or over liquids as long as you keep moving. This isn’t super in-character, but it’s useful.
10th level of Monk gives our boy Purity of Body, making him immune to disease and poison. Looks like he won’t be able to miss school unless he fakes being sick.
11th level is really what we wanted from the Four Elements because now Ron can use Ride the Wind to cast Fly on himself like the Supreme Monkey Master he is. Plus, his Martial Arts die is a d8 now.
For 12th level, we have another ASI/feat opportunity, so that’s another +2 to Ron’s Dexterity for a 16. This gives him an AC of 16 with the ability to take the Dodge action as a bonus action with PD.
I’m going stop here with this build because I think this is a solid place that could potentially coincide with the show, but if you want to take Ron to 20th level, Monks do get two more ASI/feat opportunities at 16th & 19th level. Use these chances to bump up your DEX & WIS to 18 each, or make one of those a 20. Four Elements Monks also get one more Discipline they can take at 17th level; Ron would probably take the Fist of Four Thunders in order to cast Thunderwave. However, if you don’t want to continue levels in Monk, almost any subclass of Fighter or Thief/Swashbuckler Rogue (if your DM is cool with Martial Arts counting towards Sneak Attack) could be viable.
If you decided to opt out of the Magic Initiate feat I took at 1st level, you could easily just take the pet mouse from the Urchin background equipment. Or you could make Rufus a player character with an Awakened Rat as the race if you want him to be more involved.

Personal recap Skate America 2019 - Men FS
My motto so far it can only get better in Men's competition, no one skated clean! It's a start of the GPs and hopefully it will get better...
This time in the starting order:
Koshiro Shimada - what a lovely skater. He has fun in the program, much better than the one at Nebelhorn that I saw live. Except for the hard fall in the beginning it was a good fight - well done! 👏Also isn't he totally adorable in the Kiss&Cry?
Someone give Roman Savosin a hug. He looked so disappointed. This is not the Savosin that I know from juniors. He jumped a quad and 3As, where are they gone?
Alexei Krasnozhon - I don't know the only word to describe this whole skate is weird. Starting with the weird fall, the wild arm movement, the haunted expression on his face, the rushed program...I really don't know what to say otherwise.
I don't know why Kazuki Tomono had to wait so long, that's not fair to let him wait, not sure if this had some impact on his performance, BUT Kazuki was on 🔥! I like this Moulin Rouge program (yeah well if I had to pick a skating warhorse it would be Moulin Rouge)! I loved the how the crowd went along with the program. 4T3T was amazing! Still some unnecessary mistakes, but a good program nonetheless! 👏👏👏 (And I want this owl that Kazuki got, so cute!)
Junhwan Cha - ok let's not judge the program based on this performance. Reality is this was a real disaster for Junhwan. A big disappointment for sure. I only judge the music here. I think the music is beautiful but does not give much to interpretate, the highlights and nuances are missing in this music, so I am not sure a rather blank music is the best for skating. I wasn't a real fan of his "Juliet" last season but at least it was memorable and he looked like he had fun.
What is up with Boyang? 😭😭😭
I mean he is a super jumper and has the best 4Lz in the business but he isn't able to show it. 😢 And you can see how much he improved his skating skills and interpretation was great. But I fear without working jumps the program is bare the highlights and his work on the PCS remains a bit useless...75 PCS I mean c'mon he ain't that bad anymore? I fear the GPF is unreachable now...such a shame he looked in good shape at the Lombardia...😢😢😢 I am sad...
Jason Brown - Awesome program, 3As landed, safe and clean! Well done! 👏 👏 👏 Well maybe my expectations were a bit too high with what the excerpts on Instagram showed, but this isn't my fav Jason program and it didn't touch me like I thought it would. I love the music of Schindler's List and it's a well crafted program, but he had programs with far more things going on between the elements, his setups on the 3As are rather long...maybe it's because he had a bad car crash in the summer and will put more into the program soon...there is room for improvement...
Yes Bychenko that's a costume suiting the Pirates of the Caribbean, he didn't wear one at Nebelhorn that's why I mentioned it. And anyone who is skating to Pirates gets a bonus from me, what a showstopper program. About Bychenko's issues I talked in the SP post, but I acknowledge here that very few skaters jump as high as him, that 3Lz was outstanding!
Once again it took quite some time to let Michal Brezina skate. What's the problem? Oh boy Michal...was last good season only a fluke? Old habits, doing stupid mistakes left and right...😣 Always a rollercoaster being Michal's fan...puh...at least the program is fun...that's about the nice things I can say for today...
Tumblr media
Keegan Messing - You could see his heart was somewhere distant. He said it himself: He couldn't concentrate. I can only say it again it takes guts to go out do your routine when you feel like dying. I salute once again! You did well Keegan!
Light and shadow in Dmitri Aliev's free skate. Actually I don't kept much in mind of the program. Then it's not memorable if I got this bored...sorry Dima 🙏 he gave the 2nd place away by doing too many mistakes...but I think he should have gotten this margin as Jason wasn't error free either...
Nathan that was an easy win! Congrats on the Gold 🥇!
I like the 2nd half of the program, the choreo sequence is really cool! 😎 And Nathan what is wrong with you to stick to the original layout? 🤣 Fun programs suit him so much better. It was entertaining to watch, the GOEs weren't as entertaining though, nor the PCS for what exactly the blank first half??? Well what do I expect? 🙈🙈🙈 So let me introduce you to this GIF once again to show you what I think of the judges:
Tumblr media
Michal and Nathan are in the club of "I wear a horrible shirt" yeah we wanted color for Nathan not a penguin again but not like this...sorry guys...my reaction is like this....😅
Tumblr media
This will sound even more salty, but actually with this kind of scoring even with 2 big mistakes from Nathan I don't see how anyone can compete with that. Last season I had hopes, this season I am sure to get disappointed by the judges again. He is 2-time world champ now and gets GOEs and PCS thrown for whatever he does...I don't expect fair anymore...I am not complaining he won here, he won fair and square, just the points make me mad! There are guidelines available, look into them judges!
But again let's not throw shades at Nathan for scoring he isn't responsible for! He does the best he can.

Thank you for reading, feel free to comment!

SYTYCD season 16: the Final Cut - part 1, Ladies
Hello everyone! It feels like forever since I’ve been here. DWTS didn’t have a spring season, WoD hasn’t been doing it for me, and life was rough early this year. But it’s summer now and things have started to cool down (figuratively, I know the weather sucks), and SYTYCD is back for another season.
I figured it would be pointless trying to blog about the earlier episodes because of how haphazard the production is and inconsistent screen time for each dance and contestant. Anyway, here we are. There are 10 guys and 10 gals and half of them must go.
Side note: I’m liking D-trix and Laurieanne as judges, especially the former. Thank god we don’t have Vanessa for another season.
So anyway, the ladies all dance in the style they struggled most in during the Academy, paired with a former contestant in said round. I’m putting each person’s original style in brackets next to their name. Just for fun, I’ll be grading each dance out of 10.
Mariah Russell (contemporary) and Jonathan Platero, Salsa Mariah, I’m not feeling her. I wasn’t convinced by her audition - technique is there, presence and emotional connection is not. And even if she makes the top 10, she doesn’t have a personality for live television. But the judges love her, for whatever reason I don’t understand. Now for her dance - styling team messed up her hair. Obviously the tricks were nice and she can do awesome leg lifts. The actual salsa steps she looked a tad awkward doing - something about her legs didn’t seem right. But I think she brought the fire and energy to this dance and came out of that “small sweet girl” vibe she had been giving up till this point so I think she’s a given for live shows. So yeah I actually liked her performance here. 8/10 from me.
Melany Mercedes (salsa) and Fik-Shun, Hip-hop Pretty good performance. She was right in the groove. I didn’t think she needed more “attitude” - the song said to “get silly” so her more smiley, whimsical approach to the dance I found appropriate. Hip-hop isn’t all getting down and pulling stank faces. Agree with Dominic - just needs to be more grounded. 7/10
Ashley Sanchez (ballroom) and Lex Ishimoto, Contemporary Never seen her until today so just off that I think she’s unlikely to make the live shows. And a not stunning dance just sealed her fate. She has strength, but it’s obvious she isn’t used to contemporary-type movement at all. 5/10
Anna Linstruth (hip-hop) and Marko Germa, Jazz Okay so the thing about Anna is, she’s a hip-hop dancer. And right out the Academy gate she had a less than stellar hip-hop performance. But the judges gave her a chance to perform again?? They made everyone else in her group (who had totally nailed that dance straight away) dance again just to give her a second chance. The inconsistency with which people got chances really bothered me through Academy. And like, it’s f*cking season 16. The standard of this show is insanely high. You can’t even nail your own style? She shouldn’t even have made it past the first round. Okay rant over, let’s talk about her dance here. She started quite strong and I liked her energy, but the dance went downhill as it went on. She bobbled on every turn, didn’t extend her lines completely, and some parts of the choreography looked so awkward and empty it made me think they had to pare down the dance for her (but I’ve also never really been into Ray Leeper’s choreo in general so maybe that’s just me). Judges like her for some reason. 6/10
Madison Jordan (contemporary) and Kiki Nyemchek, Cha-cha Probably my favourite girl left. I wanted more sass from this dance. She was too ‘graceful, pulled-up contemporary’. But she looked good and got every step. 7.5/10
Sofia Ghavami (ballroom) and Marko, Jazz Another one we haven’t seen until now, so there’s the red flag. I didn’t remember this but she was in Marko’s team during s14′s academy and we all knew Koine was going to be it back then. I guess it’s just nice that she got to dance with Marko again. She overdid her face in this dance. Dtrix summed it up perfectly - execution was good but as a performance felt flat. Though I only noticed at the end she was dancing in stiletto boots!!! So I might close an eye for that. That’s tough, props to her. 6/10
Sumi Oshima (popping) and Lex, Contemporary Nice seeing Lex and Talia being supportive. I thought, given a partner she could connect with, plus Talia being smart and creating a piece that highlights her strengths, Sumi could have a breakthrough here. However it did not happen. It was a good dance, but I couldn’t connect to it. I think she tried to show emotion, not sure what the judges were on about. They were harsh. 5/10
Nazz Sldryan (ballroom) and Fik-Shun, Hip-hop Also didn’t see a peep of her until this week. Plus we have a lot of ballroom girls in this round so competition is particularly steep for her. But dang now I want her to go through, because she slayed this number! She and Fik-shun were so tight. She hit every move and every count. Facial expressions were a bit weird sometimes but nothing that looked out of place. 9/10
Sophie Pittman (contemporary) and Kiki, Cha-cha Sophie is another one I don’t get. I remember her production being overrated while I didn’t feel a thing. Then the production seemed to imply she was just getting by in the Academy, and the judges weren’t completely starstruck by her so I was surprised she got this far. I guess I’m really not feeling contemporary girls this year huh? Now, this dance was awkward. She had several missteps, legs also looked weird doing ballroom steps, and unlike Mariah, she didn’t lose her sweet girl vibe here. She was too whimsy and no sass. 5/10
Stephanie Sosa (ballroom) and Robert Roldan, Contemporary Oh boy, this song is overplayed. Some of the choreo looks hella cheesy. Stephanie is very strong and also went through her transitions really well, which I think is important for contemporary. I’m (somewhat pleasantly) surprised the judges didn’t rave over this just for being a Mandy dance ft Robert. But They also said she needed more vulnerability like...I think she had an appropriate amount of emotion??? Contemporary isn’t all about being super angsty. Plus it’s a cheesy dance to a cheesy song, what’s a girl to do? 6.5/10
Based on - “story/drama” potential, - this last round of dances, and - just how much the judges seem to pull for them (whether I agree or not) I think the ladies going through will be Mariah, Madison, Ana, Nazz, and Stephanie.
But instead it’s Mariah, Madison, Sophie, Anna, and Stephanie. Wtf, Sophie?? Even for the other girls that I wasn’t too hyped over, I feel like they did have strong showings at some point, whereas Sophie has been meh all this while.
Well, on to the guys next week. The men are looking really strong this year so that will be exciting.

Is the "buckler shield" listed in the proficiencies something from one of your other homebrews? They're not in RAW or described on the other pages as far as I can see...
I'm very wary of the Artful Duelist. One of the improvements 5e made over earlier editions was cutting off the rampant inflation of attack bonuses, by making plusses to hit much harder to come by. Adding half your Perform bonus is potentially a +4 at level one, up to +8 later, that nobody else can match, and then another up to +3 from Duelist later on (which also adds significant naming confusion. Not as bad as bard inspiration, but still).
I see that most of your Maneuvers use your attack roll as the DC for an opponent's saving throws? I think there was a reason that the Battle Master used a fixed DC, 8+proficiency+Str or Dex. Even before factoring in all the bonuses to hit you included, and disregarding any magic weapons or advantages or whatever, an attack roll averages 2.5 points higher than the save DC of any other spell or power by somebody with the same stats.
One-handed Shooting confuses me. It lets you use two handed ranged weapons, but not heavy ones, so that's... a light crossbow, and maybe a musket? It seems weird to say every swashbuckler is specialized in one-handed musket; it's just a clumsy and awkward fighting style. And then when they do use hand crossbows and pistols (or I guess darts and slings and such) they always get advantage, on top of all their other huge bonuses to hit?
I like the concept of Repartee, but subtracting a d10 seems unnecessarily complicated when you could just give them disadvantage. It would also go faster at the table with a fixed cha-based DC, but doing it as an opposed roll does give you the opportunity to make a really good or really bad joke. It should maybe take a Reaction though... you've got a lot of things that don't cost any action economy, only points, so you could use your jokes to interrupt fifteen separate actions in a row without even taking a turn.
Blademastery seems kind of... boring? it just removes a layer of complexity from combat, and not even by finding cool swashbuckly ways to work around bad situations or create opportunities for yourself, just by turning off all variation. Combine that with Artful Duelist and you might as well just say that swashbucklers don't make attack rolls anymore, they just hit automatically.
It kind of feels like the second story work should be part of the base class. And maybe add something about swinging from lines, diving through windows, leaping into action from great heights, and other such stylish maneuvers...
I really like the idea of the Play to the Crowd and Showstopper abilities of the Matador subclass; that kind of high risk high reward gameplay seems like a lot of fun.

Hi ... I think you're used to this by now, but ... I have written another essay for you! 😂
Um ... yes .. Hyunjae has most definitely won my heart by this stage 👀 I wanted to make my first posts on that blog all Hyunjae considering I literally named it after him HAHA That explains the massive influx of Hyunjae posts but!! I'm getting to the other members now lol with a bit of Hyunjae sprinkled in between!
Hm I'm not entirely sure if having both bias and bias wrecker in a 'line' happens in SVT! Although a lot of people have biases based on age (e.g. 95line), or units. My biaswreckers are S.Coups and Jeonghan though, so mine isn't really a line, as far as I know? lol
Omg I'm only watching the behind video for the Seasons Greetings now! Younghoon as an archer and Juyeon as a shooter seem appropriate - they've shot me straight in my heart! And Eric doing American football sdlfjskldfjkls And ... HYUNJAE AS A HOCKEY PLAYER AHHHHHH LSKJDFKLSDJFLKSDKL THIS IS SO GREAT, THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME ABOUT THIS HE'S SO CUTE IN HIS UNIFORM I HAVE A BIG FAT CRUSH ON HIM OK
Ooooh I don't watch KDramas consistently anymore but I'll put Younghoon's ones on my to-watch list! Might solidify his position even further on my biaswrecker list hehe
Yeah I used to find it tough remembering all of SJ's names and faces but ... I think it's gotten easier each time I decide to learn about a new big group haha And it looks extra cool when these big groups dance in sync and stuff! And there's always so many possible combinations for things like unit songs / performances, photoshoots, and interviews!
Lol I think I vaguely remembering there being a Wedding Dress phase back when I was in high school? Or a Haru Haru phase! I remember some classmates being pretty keen on KDramas when I was in high school, and at the time, I thought they were being ridiculous (and now look where I am!) lol
Nah I'm not really a gamer, I just like playing Superstar rhythm games A LOT (too much) and I lurk a lot on their reddits a lot so I've learnt a lot of the lingo lol. I've also watched the behind videos of TBZ playing SSTBZ and it's just so funny to see them struggle! And I also saw their tweets complaining about Out of Control being so difficult, which was really funny!
Lol maybe it's Younghoon's Leo traits coming out, I'm convinced S.Coups in SVT also does the same (they literally have the same birthday - although different years) sklfjdkslj that guy says some of the cheesiest stuff sometimes I swear 😩
Nuuuuuuuu that compilation of Hyunjae whining IS JUST TOO CUTE!!!! He sounds a bit like a kid but!!! SO CUTEEEEEEEEEE And he like nearly pouts too lsdkfjldksjflsdk And no???? I haven't seen him hugging people or hiding behind them when he's embarrassed!!! I must take greater note of that from now on! Also I was watching TBZ on Weekly Idol during their Thrill-ing promotions and THIS PART GOT ME SO BAD!!!!!!!! JUYEON BEING RIDICULOUSLY HEART-FLUTTERING AND HYUNJAE BEING ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE LSDJFLKSDJS Basically, everyone else's reactions = my reactions!
Oooh yes I definitely love re-reading fics, and especially when I start getting to actually know the group too! I also now totally understand why you wrote the 'Bad at being bad' fic for Hyunjae - he's a total sweetie, he could never really be a bad boy lol
Oh my my Hyunjae and Juyeon's photoshoots together really ARE something! They look so good tlskjdfkljdsl Also, why is their ship name Jumil? I get that Juyeon's is the 'Ju' part, but where does the 'mil' come from for Hyunjae? 🤔
Yeah chaeunwoos needed a name for a non-main-boygroup blog, and I watched True Beauty recently, and Cha Eunwoo really got me sflkdjlsjflksjd (although I always thought he was pretty handsome) So that's why I named that blog after him haha But to be totally honest, I only listen to ASTRO's songs on a very casual basis. That side blog used to be named 'shawoltzen' - for Shawol + NCTzen, but yeah that side blog is pretty much for everything that does not have a dedicated blog! And I change usernames on that blog whenever I go through a phase lol (I'm pretty sure I had an EXO-related name there at one point) But anytime I start to feel myself getting too attached, I'm now inclined to create a new blog for them haha I'm probably going to keep all my reblogs of your fics on that blog though since I do reblog a bunch of fics there haha and I want to remember how I fell into TBZ by reading your fics HAHA
I think I've always seen Juyeon as handsome but ... nearly unattainably so, so while I started off with thinking that he might be my bias, Hyunjae is now the winner of my heart lol and when I see him, I think, 'yup this guy is totally my type' HAHA Sure, I definitely appreciate Juyeon but I think I would admire from afar in real life but wouldn't really think about being with that much, whereas for Hyunjae, I think I'd actually want to be around him a lot and hear him laugh and talk and sing in that sweet sweet voice of his 🥺 I'M SORRY I'M BEING SAPPY HAHAHA
I was having a think about what do all my biases have in common and ... they all have the surname Lee? 😂 Lee Donghae, Lee Seokmin, Lee Minho (Lee Know), Lee Jaehyun (Hyunjae) HAHA I mean, it's not much of a connection LOLOLOL but it's a coincidence! Hmmm I'd also like to think that they have very ... solid noses HAHA Also girrrllllll I think your analysis of what guy I like is pretttyyyyy spot on! Definitely love a guy who makes me laugh and that whole thing about unpredictable enough to keep me on my toes? Sounds like me and my Aquarius traits to a tee 😂 How can you already read me so well after a few of my asks! 😱 But then again, I guess you're a writer, you must have good intuition hehe
Also just wanted to say that I've been rewatching the Thrill Ride MV since actually picking out Hyunjae as a bias and ... all those shots of him being hot boy summer hit different! Including his dumb winks 😭 And similarly with Christmassy! I didn't think much of Hyunjae initially in that MV (too focused on footballer!Juyeon, flirty!Sunwoo, and a very cute Younghoon) until I noticed a very cute guy at the beginning (you know, the bit where he looks at like the Instagram stories of TBZ) and I thought his side profile and laugh were cute HEHE
Oooh you definitely sound like you like darker songs from SVT! Although To You is a bit cheerier haha Hmmm have you tried listening to Getting Closer as well? Oh what about 24/7 (although not totally sure that's a 'dark' song ...) Bittersweet is really good! I think Mingyu / Wonwoo could definitely have potential as a future unit! I'm convinced there's something different about hearing rappers sing~ hehe Wait about the whole dark songs thing - is this why your fave TBZ song is Drink It lololol
I also may or may not have opened a new Twitter account dedicated to reblogging TBZ lol (my usual Twitter account is a biiiiiiigggg mess of everything - mostly reblogging SJ, SVT and SKZ with a side of everything else HAHA)
oH I didn't realize it before when I was creating my TBZ sideblog, but I have now opened up asks / submissions, so definitely feel free to drop by with Hyunjae TBZ pics anytime! 😃
And lastly! (Finally!) I totally forgot to mention last time, but you can tag my asks with my name - 'natalie' or 'nat' is fine 😊
UR DOWN SOOOOO BAAAAAD FOR HIM AHAHA #natwhippedera and PLEASE it's more like hyunjae ft. other members sprinkled in between 🤡 oh but do you ever switch biases? or go through phases? i feel like i could never just pick one member.... like why have a dish when you can have a buffet!!
ahh jeonghan has caught my eye recently!! i love how he's kinda snakey? evil? during games, like during that mousebusters gose ep when he said to just spray jun's face, i was like..... why is that something i'd say........ LMAOO. i'm nearly done gose 2020 and in the TTT eps.... when they drive.... why is that so attractive...............................
juyeon as a shooter ALDKJFK WAIT i have the perf meme for that AHAHA. hyunjae would totally be that annoying hockey player who skates towards you really fast to scare you and then sprays ice at you with his side stop LOL hockey player!hyunjae x figure skater!y/n 👀 ah ngl younghoon didn't make it onto my bias list until i watched love revolution! there was something about him there that made him more attractive than he is in tbz, maybe bc his character swears sooo much it's refreshing HAHA
oh yeahhh it seemed impossible to remember so many names and faces at first but here we are :') did you ever get hyunjae/eric/sangyeon mixed up? the first few performances i watched i could barely tell who was who LOL. big groups are definitely fun, i love it when fic writers try to fit all the members into the fic and give them cameos here and there!!
omg same i definitely thought my classmates were being so cringe at the time when they were speaking like koreaboos/weebs :') it was a phase for them yet i'm still here... 10 years later aldkfjl. have you watched a lot of kdramas? i've probably watched more since the pandemic started than i ever have before it haha
ohhhh i see, omg have you had bad experiences with league too 🙃 i find it so endearing how juyeon's still playing sstbz on normal mode and he's so proud when he three stars it aHHHH and how he has a normal amount of diamonds!! he's too cute!!
i'm sure you've started noticing all of hj's mannerisms by now 🥴ALDKJF THE TIE! it made your heart flutter right?? i knew jumil was the most popular ship when i entered the fandom but didn't see it for the longest time, and yet... somehow even the maverick mv director knew LMAOO. the "mil" part of jumil comes from hyunjae's "mirae" stan name since hyunjae = present / mirae = future
oooh that is an interesting thing to do with your blog :O i'm always too indecisive to change my urls haha. oh but have you read the true beauty webtoon? eunwoo fit the character but suho actually reminds me of juyeon!!! like the quiet and handsome bff turned lover 🥺 omg did you stan like... all the sm boy groups at some point? i also went through an exo/nct phase LOL. but will wait and see what you change your url to next 👀
YOU'RE SO WHIPPED I'M ADKLFJADKLJFKLAJJ. are you a words of affirmation type of person 🤔 omg THE LEE THING ok i was about to be like... there's no way she's that delusional AHAHA (omg lee dongmin will fit very nicely on your list, ms chaeunw00s hehe). you're right they do have very nice noses!! and... i think you'll quickly begin to notice that i psychoanalyze everyone and everything :'') so your asks and blogging habits were enough to get a sense of your personality and it's also why i had a feeling ju wasn't gonna make it to the top of your bias list LOL. hyunjae seems like he'd match your energy better and be able to keep you interested!!
i......... ngl i think you've watched their mvs way more than i have at this point HAHA. but ok i do know the feeling of going back to old moments to specifically Notice your bias after finally picking one :'') do your eyes zoom in on hyunjae sitting there in shows/interviews even when he says nothing akldjfka LIKE I SAID ur in the honeymoon phase ahhHHh
oh you consider to you cheery? i find it angsty ngl, like maybe a nostalgic summer vibe perhaps? ooh yes i did like getting closer but 24/7 is a little slow 😅 and yeah wonwoo and mingyu should totally have more unit projects, their voices are so soothing in bittersweet! my music taste is quite predictable tbh.... other than drink it, my other fave tbz songs would be checkmate, kingdom come, scar, reveal (if you're familiar with music theory i'd say the main elements i look for are a minor key and V chords ahaha). oh but while we're here lemme throw in some shameless self promo 🤡
omg twitter too eh, you say it's for tbz but let's be real it's mostly for hyunjae ft. sprinkles of tbz members HAHA

In general, when you’re talking about life, I’m just a regular guy, I just ate a Shake Shack burger, like, now I need to do 100 sit-ups. But I’ve always been sort of rebellious, when someone says: “You have to do this,” it never makes sense for me to do it. Like, why can’t a K-Pop person swear, why can’t they have half-naked ladies in a music video. It’s just a music video, why not? I’m a nice guy when it comes to daily life, but when it comes to society and how people think things should be a certain way, I have to challenge those invisible rules.

PROFESSIONAL FACTS
He is founder and co-CEO of AOMG, along with Simon Dominic (although Jay owns more percentage of the company)
He has recently created H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS with Cha Cha Malone
He is a singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, actor, dancer,  b-boy, model, choreographer and entrepreneur
In 2003, he joined Art of Movement (AOM), a Seattle-based B-boying group
In 2004, Jay’s mother suggested him to audition for the Korea-based company JYP Entertainment, which brought him to Korea in January 2005 to receive further training in dancing, rapping, singing, and the Korean language After passing an audition in the US, he signed a contract with JYP Entertaiment and moved to South Korea to be a trainee
He practiced singing and Korean for 4 years and eventually debuted as leader of 2PM in 2008. After a controversy about some messages he wrote on his personal Myspace back in 2005 when he was still a trainee, he was forced to leave 2PM. He wrote messages about how bad was South Korea (He was in a foreign country, he didn’t knew the language nor the culture, he had no friends or family there. He was going trough a lot). Although outraged protesters demanded that Park should be removed from 2PM, JYP Entertainment’s CEO, Park Jin-young, stated on September 7, 2009, that he was going to continue as a part of the groupThe following day, Jay announced on his official fancafe that he would be leaving the group to calm the situation and return to his hometown, Seattle. He also apologized to the other 2PM members
He went back to Seattle in 2009
His vocals weren’t removed from the older songs he promoted with 2PM
Through their acceptance speeches at end-of-year award shows for “Again & Again”, the members of  2PM thanked Jay and reiterated their wish for his return. At the Mnet Asian Music Awards, the group paid homage to him during their performance of “Again & Again” with a spotlight shown over his usual position in the dance formation and his lines left unsung. However, some 2PM fans said that the members used to insult Jay after his departure
After returning to Seattle Jay worked at a local tire shop, because he didn’t want to rely on his parents
Soon after Jay returned to the United States, the South Korean public changed their perspective on the matter when they realised that his Myspace messages had been severely mistranslated and taken out of context, in addition to strong fan support for Jay’s return
On February 25, with Jay’s comeback looking more and more likely, JYP suddenly announced that Jay Park’s contract with them had been terminated, citing a separate “personal mistake” that Park had made in 2009. JYP would make reference to this unknown event several times in 2010, but would never elaborate on any details
“It’s not illegal, but it will be a very big scandal socially. We cannot reveal it for the sake of Jay Park. Even Sidus was curious and released articles of asking us to tell the reason. But we have to keep it a secret for Jay Park. He committed the act during AAA promotion without letting his members know. As soon as the members found out, they stated that they could not promote with him as a group anymore.”
This termination had been agreed by all 6 members of 2PM and led to fan boycotts on 2PM-endorsed products. Protests for Jay’s return to the group began to take place, not only in South Korea, but internationally as well. Various Jay Park-dedicated forums and fansites all over the world organized silent protests and flash dance mobs. Fans also hired a plane with a banner showing "J, what time is it now?” to fly over Seattle, and was broadcast on Seattle-based radio stations
On June 15, 2010, B.o.B released “Nothin’ on You” featuring Jay Park, in South Korea, where he replaces Bruno Mars’ vocals. His YouTube cover helped contribute to much of the song’s success in Korea, with more than 5 million copies sold. He subsequently thanked his fans for their support and continued to urge them not to hate remaining 2PM members
Los Angeles-based entertainment attorney Ned Sherman, CEO of Digital Media Wire, announced on May 28 that he was representing Jay as his legal representative. Sherman and his wife Tinzar reached out to Park, after seeing Jay’s story and feeling bad about what happened to him during the MySpace controversy. The Shermans and Jay worked on a lot of projects together, including his movie deal for Hype Nation, an endorsement deal with dENiZEN, Levi Strauss & Co.’s new brand, and others
SidusHQ defended Jay against claims made by Park Jin Young…
“We hope that Park Jaebeom will no longer be wounded by his former company and will be allowed to actively promote himself. We would like to express our gratitude towards the people that continue to support and regard him with warm eyes. We greet you once more with a better image. Thank you.“
In March 2010, he uploaded a cover video of B.o.B’s ”Nothin’ on You“, with his own rap and lyrics, to YouTube, which went viral and reached over 2,000,000 views in less than 24 hours

First, I liked him {Jay Park] very much. I could trust him. I chose him because we were chasing the same thing about music. Moreover, I felt we fit together in many points besides music. Definitely I pursue original and (American) native color in many ways, and Jay was definitely showing native color. We, VVD crew’s goal is to be competitive when we are compared to the (American) native artists, so we’ve been thinking highly of him. I was not so close with him in person, but you know, there’s some feeling that we can feel when we meet someone. I was 28 years old last year, I was not too young. I thought he was humane when I first saw him, and he looked very cool with a great mind and his move has been great so far. I think he has contributed a lot (to hiphop). He brought his fandom to this (hiphop) scence and I think he and Illonaire were a win-win relationship. So I didn’t have anything to agonize in many ways. I am not the person who only raps and I do both hiphop and R&B so I thought AOMG would be perfet for me because there would be many things I could do there.

The producer also apologized to the rapper, stating that LOCO was not even aware of the azan sample being used in the track
He explained that after he won the first season of Mnet′s Show Me The Money, he signed with a new label that didn′t have the means to support him. Though he desired to leave the label, the penalty for breaking the contract was 200 million won
"That′s when I met Jay Park, and Jay Park said that if I agreed to join AOMG, he would pay the penalty. And my first track with AOMG ′Hold Me Tight′ did so well that I was able to pay my debt back to him in full.“
He likes Descendants of the Sun
When Jay was asked if he had been influenced by Gray when he decided to contact Loco for AOMG, Jay answered:
When we started, there were only me, Gray, Jeongoon and Chacha. Jeongoon and Chacha are composers, so there were only two artists, me and Gray. So I was observing Loco with interest. I have heard about him a lot from Gray, and I asked Dok2 how he was. In fact, Dok2 rarely praises anyone, but he told me Loco was good, so I thought he might be good. I met him often with Gray and I thought it would be good to be with him

He used to have another stage name but he changed it
Although his artistic name is “Ugly Duck”, he says he isn’t concern about his looks and he likes the way he is
It has a lot of meanings. If you translate it literally, well, it means an ugly duck. Of course, it relates somewhat to my appearance as well. Despite the word “ugly” connoting something negative, I wanted to twist that into giving off the ambience of “I’m still better than you even if I’m ugly.” This is also why I wrote down the lyrics, “I don’t care about being a swan. I like being like this.” But the biggest reason behind this name is that I wanted to rap “ugly.” There’s the phrase, “Ugly truth” and if you reverse it, it becomes “Truth is ugly” meaning I’m the truth! I guess I just felt compelled to the word “ugly” and thought of it as cool. Of course, I still think it’s cool to this day. I like it because it feels like hip hop. I started going by this…well, I had another penname before this one but at the time, I didn’t really have the determination to dive into rapping but once I did, I went by this (Ugly Duck) name.
