Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
The Showrunner flung open the doors of the arena. The sky was bright, but storm clouds brewed in the distance. Coming closer. Closer. They were Beautiful.
She gasped for breath as she stepped out onto the grass. She kicked off her shoes and felt the grass hum beneath her feet. [OM2T]-kleis glowed purple and so did she. She gathered this was not normal. But it was Beautiful.
She was Beautiful.
Chest Heaving, she took off running. Her cloak billowed behind her as the wind whistled in her ears, getting faster, getting stronger, getting louder, getting louder, getting louder.
She ran into the woods. The trees were a blur in the corners of her eyes. She would build an orchard. She would grow it from the ground. She would need to clear space.
She skidded to a halt about a two minute run into the woods. Here.
Taking [OM2T]-kleis, she set her sights on a tree and (swinging from her hip) slammed it into the tree. Sliced through it like butter.
“Ha-” She laughed, tears coming to her eyes, “Ha!”
Vision blurring with tears, she felled tree after tree until the clearing she’d made was large enough to support an orchard. A beautiful orchard.
She stabbed her keyblade into the ground, the energy within her rushing down it like a lightning strike. All at once, the trees she’d felled blasted off into the distance. She idly hoped none of them hit the cabin. But that could be dealt with later.
Purple light flooded the clearing. She let out a manic laugh. Beautiful. This was beautiful!
Shedding her cloak, she ripped [OM2T]-kleis from the earth and then used it to blast a crater into the clearing with a massive boom. A thundercrack exploded in the sky, and rain began to fall in sheets, drenching the ground and drenching her.
Time to make it beautiful.
She raised her hands to the sky and saplings wriggled up from the ground, growing at an exaggerated pace as the ground under her began to quake. The earth beneath her feet liquified and she sank, before her feet connected with something solid and she began to rise.
The wind whipped around her, leaves flying off of trees, thunder booming overhead- she raised [OM2T]-kleis to the sky and cackled in a manner that could be only described as maniacal.
“Showie!”
Braig. Oh, beautiful.
She looked behind her, chills wracking her body. He was standing there, absolutely soaked. Small, and shrinking as she rose. The pillar ground to a halt about 30 feet in the air. She smiled at him. Oh, he was beautiful. Black and white striped petunias burst from the ground around his feet.
"Showie, you have to stop!"
Stop? Stop?
Why?
She tilted her head at him. The flowers quickly began to spread to the rest of the clearing, rushing in between the rapidly growing trees.
A door suddenly appeared off to the left– not attached to anything, just sort of… there. It opened, and out walked The Narrator. Who was still wearing a flowy summer dress. The same one, as before. Yellow and black stripes. She liked black stripes.
Sunflowers burst from the ground and began the mad dash to the other side of the clearing. “Clearing”. It was rather full now.
“Uh–” the Narrator called out hesitantly “What’s all this about?”
She let out a crazed laugh, and called over the wind, “I’m creating! Isn’t it beautiful?!”
Lightning flashed, striking a nearby tree.
“Well– uh– yes? But I– I’d recommend using a bit more caution? Like the ice woman from Frozen? You’re, uh. Affecting everything.”
“Elsa?” She shouted, “Elsa fucking rules, though!”
"Yeah, good fucking job there," Braig hissed at the Narrator.
“Well, but–” the Narrator sighed. “I’m sorry, I’m not that familiar with all of the Disney movies. Perhaps you can think of a better comparison?”
"Forget comparisons! You wanna help, go to the cabin and get Sora!"
Sora??!! Oh, she would love for Sora to see this- she nodded, but they didn’t see her.
“Sora Kingdomhearts is here?”
"Ki- Yeah, sure, whatever. Spiky hair, giant clown shoes. Go fucking get him!"
“I know what he looks like, I’ve played the game.” the Narrator said shortly, and then he was gone.
About 2 minutes later, he came back through with-
“Sora!” She raised her keyblade and laughed- lighting came down, narrowly missing her, “Hi!”
"What happened to you?!" He yelled.
She tilted her head, smiling. The chills from before still wracked her body, and the cool rain wasn’t helping. Still, she was elated. “Keyblade!” She shouted, holding it up for him to see.
She could see Sora back up a few steps. Why? Because it was too muddy? She tilted her head. The ground under his feet dried until it cracked. The rain let up from a pour to a mere shower. Blue irises burst from the ground where he stood in a spiral.
Braig put his hand on Sora's shoulder and said something she couldn't hear. Sora nodded.
The Narrator stared at her coldly and took a deep breath out. He glanced over at Sora, and then nervously spoke up.
“Uh, all this is a bit distracting for me? And I’d like to be able to fix Stanley by the end of the day tomorrow, if possible? So could you, uhm. Perhaps work on a smaller scale?”
She stared down at him. She was quiet for a few seconds, feeling [OM2T]-kleis buzz in her hand.
“Fuck you.”
“Alright!” the Narrator yelped, and then he blinked out of existence. Who knows where he went.
She stared at the space where he’d been.
She looked at Sora, “I didn’t do that!”
"I know!" Sora called back up to her. "I know you don't want to hurt anyone right now!"
More blue irises spiraled through the ‘clearing’, the orchard, now.
Braig said something else to Sora, still too quiet for her to hear. Sora nodded again, then looked up at her. "Can we come up there with you? Just to talk for a minute? Please?"
She smiled brightly, nodding. They were going to come up there! Then they could see how beautiful it was up here.
A moment later, both Sora and Braig had been warped up on top of the pillar with her. Behind her. She whipped around, letting out a manic laugh, “Look! I- I’ve never been able to do this before-” she saw the expressions on their faces and paused, staring. “What’s wrong?”
"Showie- Doll-" Even his voice sounded all worried. Why was he worried? "I know you're having a good time here, but you need to stop. At least, slow down. Your body isn't used to this much power all at once- you're going to hurt yourself at this rate."
She tilted her head, “I feel fine! I feel great! L-look what I can do!” She pointed her keyblade at the stone pillar under their feet-
Sora – and? Braig??? – flinched. But Sora just said he knew she didn't want to hurt anyone right now. Why was he flinching?
She would carry out her intended action. That would fix it.
Blue irises and black and white striped petunias burst from the stone pillar, split down the middle.
"Please, we're worried about you!" Sora said, taking a step forward. "Look at how you're shaking!"
Shaking?
She looked down at the arm holding her keyblade. Huh. Look at that. Like a leaf.
“I’m cold, maybe.” She said, turning her arm this way and that. She didn’t feel cold, but who knew? Certainly not her.
"I don't doubt that, but I also don't doubt that that's not the only cause." It was Braig speaking again.
She stared at her arm, then down at the rest of her. Like a leaf. Huh. Look at that.
She looked up at both of them, staring for a few moments.
“Are you mad at me?”
"No, doll. No one is mad at you. We're just worried." Braig paused, before extending a hand towards her. "Hey, why don't you put away the keyblade for a minute? Just until you stop shaking? We can come back to this later."
She stared at him. Then looked up at the sky. Cool rain fell down onto her face. She looked down at the crater- the pond, now- she smiled. It was beautiful.
She looked back at him, tilting her head.
"We can go hang out at home for a minute, dry off, warm up- Sora can come too, if he wants-"
She tilted her head the other direction. If Braig was suggesting Sora come along, something was seriously wrong. She heard a crackling noise and felt a tingle go up her spine.
"Y-Yeah-!" Sora chimed in. "And we could watch a movie, or something! Your pick."
“You don’t want that, though,” she said, staring sort of past them, “Neither of you want that, though.” She looked at Braig.
"You like him. I can tolerate him- for you. I don't hate the kid."
She looked to her right, staring at the opposite side of the force field. Woah. The entire thing was glowing purple. Cool. She smiled at it. [OM2T]-kleis hummed in her hand. She must’ve been staring at it for longer than she realized, though, because Braig said,
“It'll just be a minute. Then, if you want, you can go right back to creating all this. Okay? Please?"
She didn’t look back at him. She was thinking of the expression on Sora’s face. More than just worried. “Sora?” She asked, still staring at the force field, but now looking up.
"Yeah?"
“You look, like, scared?” The forcefield rippled. She turned her gaze to the cabin. Some White Boys- the hero types- had gathered outside. “Is there, like, something in particular that’s scary? Or just-” She looked back up at the sky, “-or just.” She didn’t finish.
"... Yeah, I am scared. This is scary. I-" He paused. "The only other time I've seen something like this was when I was fighting Xehanort. And- If Xigbar is freaked out too? It's… It's a lot. And I'm scared for you."
“Ew, Xehanort?” The rain stopped. She looked at him, her keyblade at her side.
"You're not like him. I know that. But it's scaring me anyway, y'know? You're my friend."
The growth on the trees and plants below slowed to a stop. The purple began to fade from the force field. She stared at [OM2T]-kleis. Glowing purple on the Xigstripe. A few baby blue forget-me-nots bloomed on the hand holding the blade, the roots wrapping around the outside of her wrist like a friendship bracelet.
"It's all gonna be okay." Sora's voice was softer now, but a lot less fearful. Hopeful, now. "We can just go hang out for a little while. Catch a breath?" He offered his hand to her, too, practically mirroring Braig.
She wished he didn’t know her name. She would have told him. “I- I-” She stared at [OM2T]-kleis. Shook it a little. Go away, purple. ‘No’, said [OM2T]-kleis, ‘Purple fucks severely’. She glanced behind her, staring at the large drop below.
"It's okay." Braig's voice was gentle. "It won't stay like that forever. It'll go away if you dismiss it."
‘It’ll go away if you dismiss it’ repeated [OM2T]-kleis. Shut up, [OM2T]-kleis.
Still holding it, she took a step towards Braig, away from the edge.
"Yeah, it's okay. We've got you." 'We'. Huh. He was counting himself in with Sora.
She closed her hand, dismissing [OM2T]-kleis. And promptly fainted, crumbling towards the edge of the pillar.

ミ♫ // event. // totally don’t need any help, @levitersora, it’s fine—
“ Nngh- ”
“ Damn frogs, get out of my way! ”
He’s never had a good relationship with frogs. A weird, hyper-realistic, post-apocalyptic vision that he can’t leave just doesn’t make it better.
( Honestly, he’s tired of winter villages and broken cities. What he wishes for more than anything else— )
A miraculous dodge sends Neku over toxic green-black heads and onto a strip of grey concrete squares. His thoughts fizzle and fragment in his head once more, shifting towards the monochromatic pin in his pocket. One scratch might easily take care of one frog, but more would come eventually, and he would much rather keep his wits about than be defenseless. Instead, he shakes off a clinging frog and keeps running, glaring through the rubble of the city for something, anything that could help in the desolate waste—
And pointedly avoids the blur of colors in the corner that don’t resemble the crumbling, grey dust, his mind set on ignoring it no matter what happens next. If that’s a person (and he tries not to assume it is,) then Neku may as well throw in the towel, because the last citizen he locked eyes with caught him in a world of hell before they were nearly taken down by thin air behind him.
( Oh, how funny it is that things never go to plan. )
