You walked into your father's company, greeting people on your way to the elevator, some of them you had known for years, way before you worked there. Other employees piled up in the elevator and you pressed the 45th floor button. Every couple of floors, the doors opened and people would get off the elevator, others getting in. On the 38th floor, the door opened and three people walked in. One of them definitely caught your attention, making you smile.
It was weird how the other people in the elevator didn't notice you stealing glances at each other. Maybe you were just that good. Luckily, everyone but the two of you got off on the 43rd floor, leaving you alone.
“I missed you.” Jinyoung crossed the small space over to you.
“I missed you more.” You pulled him by his tie crashing your lips into his.
His hands immediately found their way to your hips pulling you even closer as your hands cupped his face. It wasn't often that the two of you had some time alone, especially outside yours or his apartment. Keeping your relationship hidden when everyone knew you or your father wasn't easy. But you managed to do it through weekends spent at hotel rooms on the outskirts of town and numerous road trips where your brother covered for you.
When the annoying ‘ding’ echoed through the closed space, the two of you pulled away before the doors opened.
“See you around Mr. Park.” You smiled before stepping out of the elevator.
“See you around Ms. Kim.”
Your Louboutins clicked against the marble floor as you walked towards the conference room where a meeting was being held. But before that, you stopped by the break room to get yourself some coffee. Mrs. Jeon was preparing coffee and tea for the meeting and even after she declined it several times, you ended up giving her a hand.
When you finally walked into the conference room, you spotted Jinyoung sitting at the coffee table. His suit jacket was draped across the chair he was sitting on and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. Saying that he looked good was an understatement. Jinyoung seemed as surprised as you but he couldn't help but smirk at the fact that you were shamelessly checking him out.
You helped Mrs. Jeon handing out coffee to everyone in the room, your hand staying a little longer than it should on Jinyoung's shoulder when you placed his coffee in front of him. Meanwhile, your brother, aware of what was going on between the two of you rolled your eyes from across the table.
After Mrs. Jeon left the room, you took a seat in the only available spot between your father and your brother, Mingyu. Once you sat down, you realized that Mingyu had left that seat available on purpose so that you could sit in front of Jinyoung and he seemed pretty proud of himself for doing so.
Trying your best to ignore Jinyoung sitting in front of you looking like that, you got your notepad out of your Chanel bag and started taking notes. Honestly, you weren't really interested in the meeting, but you had to be there since one day, in a not so far future, the company would be run by you and Mingyu. Glancing over at your brother, you realized that he was as bored as you as he scribbled some information down on his own notepad.
Once the meeting was finally over, people started leaving the room, shaking your father's hand by the door. You and Mingyu stayed back since your father mentioned he wanted to talk to you. When there was no one else in the room but the three of you, he closed the door.
“So (Y/N)” Your father started “Are you seeing anyone?”
You visibly tensed up at his words. He knew. It's not that you were embarrassed about your relationship with Jinyoung, but your father had a strict policy when it came to dating co-workers. And obviously, he wasn't going to fire you so everything would fall on Jinyoung's shoulders. Besides, if your father ever found out that Jinyoung had broken the company's rule with his daughter, you were positive that Jinyoung would never find a job in another company.
“No.” You shrugged “Why?” You raised your eyebrows suspiciously.
“Great.” He was over the moon with your answer.
“What do you mean great?”
“You'll see. Do any of you have plans tomorrow night?”
“No.” You and Mingyu shook our heads.
“Then we can set up a dinner at our house tomorrow.”
Mingyu exchanged a confused look with you, your eyebrows furrowed as you turned to your father, waiting for him to elaborate.
“Don't worry (Y/N), you're going to enjoy it.”
It couldn't be good. No. Since when did your father care about your love life? Something was off and you had a feeling you weren't going to like it.
After parting ways with Mingyu, you grabbed your phone and texted Jinyoung.
[You]: Meet me in our spot
[Jinyoung]: Be there in 10
The elevator ride up to the roof was filled with anxiety. Your father's sudden interest in your love life worried you. But once Jinyoung's lips were on yours, your worries melted and the slight breeze carried them away. Your expensive bag was long forgotten on the concrete floor as your hands cupped his face lovingly.
When Jinyoung pulled away before leaving one last peck on your lips, his own stained with your lipstick, he smiled at you.
“Do you have plans tomorrow?”
When you were reminded of your plans, your anxiety came back and you unconsciously squeezed his hand that was intertwined with yours.
“Yeah, I do.” You looked down at your feet.
“What is it?” Jinyoung brought his free hand to your chin, gently lifting your head up so that you could look at him.
“It's just…” You sighed “My dad asked me if I was seeing someone and…”
“Does he know?” Jinyoung cut you off, wide-eyed.
“No, he doesn't.” You reassured “But he invited me and Mingyu to have dinner at his house tomorrow night.” You paused “I have a bad feeling about this.”
Jinyoung relaxed, glad that you hadn't been caught and pulled you in for a hug. You took a deep breath and inhaled his scent. It felt like home, more than the house you spent your childhood in, more than the expensive apartment your father gave you when you started working at his company. Home isn't exactly a place with four walls and a roof and you only realized that when you met Jinyoung. Home is a place where you feel safe, happy and comfortable. To you, home was Jinyoung.
He pressed soft kisses to your temple as his hands rubbed your back soothingly.
“It's okay.” He reassured you “Don't stress about it.”
You only moved when his phone rang in his pocket. You tried to pull away but he kept an arm around your waist as he accepted the call with his other hand. His chest vibrated as he spoke, probably to his superior who was asking yelling where he was. After Jinyoung assured him he'd be back soon, he hung up.
“I have to go.” He pouted “But how about this. Tonight after work I’ll come over and run you a bath so that you can relax.” He suggested.
“Sounds good.” You smiled.
After a couple of kisses, he finally left although he whined like a little kid before you convinced him that he had to get back to work or else he'd be in trouble.
Jinyoung kept his promise. He came over that night with a bag full of different bath bombs and candles for you to pick. While he got things ready, you sat on the counter in nothing but a bathrobe looking at him. Jinyoung was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants but he still managed to look breathtaking. Once he was done, you got in the bathtub, the warm water immediately relaxing your tense muscles. Letting out a loud sigh of relief, you looked up at your boyfriend with a smile.
“Thank you.”
“Do you need anything else?”
“Stay.” You pleaded.
Jinyoung complied and sat on the floor next to the bathtub.
“No. Get in here.” You pointed at the bathtub.
He smirked before standing up to take off his clothes, slipping into the bathtub behind you, your back against his chest.
You turned your head to kiss him and he happily kissed back as his hands traveled down your torso. Later that night, the two of you ended up cleaning a lot of water from the bathroom floor in between giggles with a pleasant soreness in your thighs.

The next day went just fine until you went home to get ready for that mysterious dinner party your father was throwing. As you picked an outfit, the same anxiety from the day before settled in your chest again. You tried to keep Jinyoung's words in your mind so that you wouldn't call your father and tell him you were sick before inviting Jinyoung over so that the two could watch some Netflix cuddled up on the couch.
You were the last one to arrive since you lived a bit further away when compared to Mingyu. There were a few unfamiliar faces at the table but your father was quick to introduce them to you.
“(Y/N), this is Mr. Im. He's one of my business partners.” You gave the older man a handshake “This is his wife, Mrs. Im.” You smiled at the woman before shaking her hand “And this is their son, Jaebum.”
Your eyes followed your father's finger landing on a man around your age with black hair parted in the middle and dark brown eyes. His body language showed how tense and uncomfortable he was with being there and you couldn't blame him. You felt the same way, but you did a better job at hiding it. But when his eyes met yours, Jaebum shot you a warm smile making him look like a completely different person and also making you wonder how fake that smile was.
“Nice to meet you.” Jaebum spoke, bowing a little.
“You too.” You bowed as well.
When you glanced at your father, out of the corner of your eye, he looked so happy with the little interaction between you and Jaebum and bad feeling you had, came back but stronger. There was a high chance your father was trying to set you up with Jaebum.
And you really didn't have a choice. In your lifestyle, ending up marrying people you didn't love for the sake of business partnerships was common. You were pretty sure that was how your parents met although they always dodged your questions about that subject. You just thought that by being forced to end up with someone they didn't love or at least knew enough to love would've pushed them away from the thought of doing the same to their kids. Apparently, you were wrong.
Throughout dinner, your parents kept telling you random achievements Jaebum had. Oh, Jaebum graduated college top of his class. Oh, Jaebum is friends with the famous fencer Jackson Wang. Oh, Jaebum cured cancer. Oh, Jaebum went to the moon. It was so obvious what they were doing that you just wanted to roll your eyes. But instead, you smiled and replied that's great because what else could you say? You didn't know him and you weren't interested.
When the dinner party was finally over, you were the first one to leave, desperate to sleep and for the comfort of Jinyoung's arms. After throwing your keys on the bowl by the door and taking your shoes off, you grabbed your phone and texted Jinyoung despite it being almost 1 am.
[You]: Are you up?
[Jinyoung]: Yeah. How did the dinner go?
[You]: My dad is trying to set me up with someone
[Jinyoung]: Do you want me to come over?
[You]: No, it's late. Get some rest
[Jinyoung]: I'm on my way. Be there in 10
[You]: Thank you
Ten minutes later, your front door opened and Jinyoung walked in while you were in the process of lazily removing your makeup. Without saying a word, he took the makeup wipe from your hand and gently started to rub your face removing all traces of makeup. Your eyes were half-open as you played with the strings of his hoodie. Jinyoung's presence was enough to calm you down, making it harder for you to keep your eyes open.
“I don't like him.” You mumbled against Jinyoung's chest.
“I know.” He reassured as he gently placed you on the bed.
“They're business partners. His father and mine.”
You stared at Jinyoung's back as he rummaged through your closet to get you something comfortable to sleep in.
“Let me guess. Your relationship is supposed to strengthen their partnership.”
“Probably.” You yawned.
“So you guys really like supposed to date?” He asked as he turned around.
“Yeah, I think that's how my parents met.”
“So does that mean you'll end up marrying him?”
Your lack of response surprised him. But to be honest, you didn't know it either. You hoped not, since you were going to be forced to marry someone you didn't love especially if it meant letting go of the one you loved.
“I hope not but…” You hesitated “It's a possibility.”
It was his turn to stay silent as he set the clothes he picked on the bed.
“We’ll figure it out.” He reassured you.
But by the look in his eyes, you knew he wasn't too sure of his words. And God knows you weren't either.

The excuses your father would make up so that you could spend time alone with Jaebum were ridiculous. Sometimes he'd invite the two of you for lunch but then get stuck in a last minute meeting when in fact there was no meeting at all, you checked. That got you dozens of awkward lunches alone with the man your parents picked for you.
After a while, Jaebum got the hint and started inviting you for lunch. And over the time you got to know each other, you started to like him. Not in the same way you liked Jinyoung, far from that, but like a friend. In other circumstances, you could've been great friends. Your parents were delighted that you were spending time with him. You, on the other hand, weren't. It was inevitable what was going to happen, you knew where everything was leading to. But you kept ignoring it, spending every free second you had with Jinyoung knowing that you were running out of time.
Jinyoung knew about your lunch “dates”. Not from you, but because it was the talk of the company. Everyone cooed at how cute it was that you fell in love with someone in the same lifestyle as you and especially because Jaebum's father was one of your father's business partners. What they didn't know was that in your lifestyle, few were the ones who got to marry who they truly loved.
You kept reassuring Jinyoung in every way you knew how. But after a while, you knew the things you said sounded more like excuses. Fights started happening offer. Harsh words were thrown at each other and it'd always end with the door slamming.
“Then why the fuck are you still with him?” Jinyoung yelled.
You opened your mouth to reply but he beat you to it.
“Because you don't have a choice, I know.” He answered his own question, a sarcastic tone evident in his voice.
“I really don't.” You yelled back “But if you don't want to believe me when I tell you that I only love you then it's your fucking problem!”
You stared at each other in silence for a few seconds, breathing heavy and hearts racing, hoping that the winner of your stupid fight would be determined by a staring contest.
Your phone ringing on the coffee table made you look away from each other and the both of you glanced at your phone. Jaebum's name was displayed across the screen deepening the frown in Jinyoung's handsome features.
“Why is he calling you at this hour?”
“I don't know…” You didn't like that his question sounded more like an accusation.
Jinyoung glared at you as if you were lying to his face. You glared back aware that your phone kept ringing. The sound that usually sounded pleasant to your ears was annoying you in that moment.
With a sigh, you grabbed the phone, not missing the way Jinyoung's eyebrows raised in disbelief.
“Hello?”
“Hi (Y/N), how are you?”
“I'm good how about you?” You tried to sound cheerful although you were far from it.
“I'm good, thank you.” He paused “Listen, my parents, asked me to invite you and your family to a dinner party at my house Friday night.”
“Friday?” Jinyoung perked up “Uh, sure. I'll talk to them.”
“Great see you Friday.”
“See you Friday.” You said before hanging up.
You hadn't even put your phone down when Jinyoung started arguing again.
“We have plans on Friday.” He crossed his arms over his chest.
“I know, I'm sorry but this involves my family as well.”
“So you're just gonna cancel our plans?”
“I don't have an option.”
“Bullshit. You could’ve said no!”
“Jinyoung, please understand that…” You tried to reason with him but he wasn't having it.
“How do I even know that you're not fucking him behind my back? Because after all, he's your boyfriend and not me!”
If his words weren't enough to hurt you, the look in his eyes was. Your fists clenched and you took a deep breath before you said something that'd make the situation even worse.
“Get out.” The cold tone in your voice surprised the both of you.
“What?”
“Out.”
His expression softened and he took a step towards you but you stepped back. With a sad sigh, he grabbed his things and left, quietly shutting the door behind him, unlike how it had been lately.
Jinyoung's words made your chest ache and tears well up in your eyes and for the first time in a long time, you allowed yourself to cry.
☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆ .。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・
Friday came quickly, although you felt every second. Jinyoung's words didn't leave your mind and you were sure that they didn't leave his either. You knew that from the amount of unopened texts on your phone. You knew that from the cups of coffee and the boxes of pastries from your favorite bakery on your desk every morning. You knew that from the little post-it notes he left asking you to meet at your spot. You didn't text back, you didn't drink the coffee or eat the pastries and you didn't show up.
As you got ready for the dinner, you decided to wear a full face of makeup hoping it'd conceal your tired expression and your sadness. Jinyoung was still the only thing on your mind as you drove to Jaebum's house. Jinyoung was still the only thing on your mind throughout the entire dinner. Jinyoung was still the only thing on your mind when Jaebum asked for a moment after dessert, grabbed your hand making you stand up, went down on one knee and pulled a little velvet box out of his pocket. Jinyoung was still the only thing on your mind when you said yes.
From the time you got to know Jaebum, you learned to read his eyes. His face didn't show all lot of emotion but his eyes betrayed him most of the time. And in his eyes, you saw the same thing he probably saw in yours. Neither of you wanted to do it. Yet, in front of your families, the two of you forced yourselves to smile and hug after he slipped the shiny ring on your finger. In front of your families, you were nothing but puppets who played your part to keep them entertained.
And when you were finally free from them, wanting nothing but to cry in Jinyoung's arms, Mingyu shot you a sympathetic smile as he got in his car. That was enough for you to break down in tears as you started the car.
You drove to the only place where you knew you'd feel safe, the fight you had with him a few days prior was long forgotten. Knocking on his door, you wiped your tears with your left hand. Jinyoung opened the door, his eyes immediately spotted the ring.
“I'm sorry.” You sobbed.
He pulled you into his chest and closed the door. To be honest, you don't remember much of what happened that night, only that you cried yourself to sleep until the early hours of the morning as Jinyoung rubbed your back and whispered sweet nothings into your hair.
And little did you know that things were going to get worse for you. Because when you woke up later that day, the heaviness in your chest still present along with a newly arrived headache Jinyoung was nowhere to be seen. And when he finally walked in, dressed up for work, loosening his tie, he seemed surprised that you were awake.
No one said anything and the tension in the room was palpable.
“We need to talk.” You both said at the same time.
You sat at the kitchen table, fumbling with your hands in your lap as you waited for him to talk.
“I think we should stop seeing each other.”
Your head snapped up to meet his eyes, finding them already on you. There was no trace of happiness, jokes, sadness or anger. Nothing.
“What?”
“You're going to get married, it's the right thing to do.”
“But I love you…” Your voice weak like a child being scolded.
“I love you too.” He paused “But that's not enough.”
“But…”
“We...we're from different worlds, things could never work between us. I'm surprised how we lasted so long.”
You blinked your tears away but your efforts were in vain. Once tears started streaming down your face, Jinyoung looked away from you. Seeing you cry would make him cry and then you'd end up crying in each other's arms apologizing over and over.
“Please...don't do this.” You shook your head.
“You're going to marry Jaebum, you're going to fall in love with him, you're going to have kids that will be as beautiful as you and you'll forget all about me. One day my name will be nothing but a faint memory of the one who loved you before you realized what true love was.”
“No…” You sobbed.
“(Y/N)” Jinyoung's hands reached for yours across the table, giving it a light squeeze “It's for the best.”
But it wasn't. Breaking up with you was the worst thing Jinyoung could do to you or himself. And no matter how much you begged, he didn't change his mind. When you left his apartment with a box of all your stuff in your hands, adding to the heaviness in your chest and your headache, you had a broken heart.

Over the next two months, you were barely at the company. Your mother insisted you were involved in the wedding preparations. Flowers, venues, bridesmaids, dresses, guests, invitations, band, the wedding theme, you handled everything. Jaebum tried his best to help you but he looked really clueless as you gave him a list of flowers you could have at your wedding. After that, you'd just inform him of what you chose and only required his presence when it came to the food served at the wedding and the cake.
When you were at the company, you were in and out of meetings. Jinyoung was also there. It was hard to sit in the same room as him when you weren't together anymore, it was hard to look at him. You hadn't spoken since he broke up with you and it was almost better that way. That didn't stop him from stealing glances at you though. During the meetings, his eyes were either on you, on the ring on your left hand or on his notepad where they should be all the time.
Mingyu was a great support to you throughout the entire process of planning a wedding you didn't want while brokenhearted. He was here when you broke down crying from stress mixed with anxiety and sadness. He was there for the bad moments and for the rare good ones.
During the rehearsal dinner, your parents and Jaebum's were trying to decide where you'd live after the wedding.
“I'm guessing you don't want a house too big at first am I right?” Mrs. Im asked.
“Nonsense.” Your mother replied before you even opened your mouth “They're going to need a big house for when they have kids.”
Your eyes widened and without noticing you dropped your fork making it clink loudly against the plate. Everyone at your table stared at you and you smiled nervously as you tried to come up with an excuse.
“How many kids do you think I'm going to have to need a house that big mother? Besides, my apartment is perfect for now.”
“(Y/N) dear, you can have as many kids as you want. Money is not a problem and you can hire as many nannies as you need.”
You clenched your fists, the metal of the fork digging into your skin as you glared at your mother. But before you could say something that'd probably ruin the rest of the dinner for everyone, Jaebum spoke.
“(Y/N) is right. Kids are not our number one priority right now. It's going to take us some time to settle in so a smaller apartment would be perfect for now.”
You sent a small smile his way and raised your eyebrows when your mother scoffed under her breath. And before the two of you would start arguing, Mingyu raised his glass and proposed a toast.
“To (Y/N) and Jaebum.”
Everyone clicked their glasses, fake laughs all over the room. As you sipped your drink, you and your mother glared at each other over your cups.
Why was she even talking about kids? She knew damn well that you didn't love Jaebum. Why would you have kids with a man you didn't know?
Besides, Jaebum wasn't the father you wanted for your kids. Jinyoung, on the other hand, was perfect. You imagined coming home to Jinyoung as he greeted you by the door with your child in his arms. Raising them together. First teeth, first words, first steps, first day of school…
“Why are you smiling (Y/N)?” Your father's voice woke you up from your dream about your impossible life with Jinyoung.
“Uh, nothing.” You shook your head.
Too bad that your dream would never come true.

A few days before the wedding, Jaebum showed up at your apartment with a couple of soju bottles in his hands. You let him in, worried about his appearance since he looked like he had aged ten years in a couple of days. After getting two shots glasses, you sat down at your kitchen table talking and drinking.
“You look really tired.” Jaebum randomly commented.
“I am tired.” You chuckled “Planning this wedding is kicking my ass. I'm not sure if I still fit in my dress.”
“I don't care about the color of the flowers, to be honest.”
“Me neither but it's not like we have a choice.”
“I know.” He sighed.
After a couple more shots, you found out that Jaebum's tolerance wasn't as high as yours.
“Can I admit something?” His speech was slightly slurred.
“Sure.”
“I'm in love with someone else.” It didn't come as a surprise but you were relieved, at least you wouldn't start your marriage with do something to hide.
“Me too.” You confessed.
“She's engaged.” He poured himself another shot.
“Does she love you back?” You dared to ask.
“Yeah, she does. Her parents don't really like me though.”
“I'm sorry.”
“What about you?” Jaebum leaned his head into his palm listening attentively.
“He's not apart of this...lifestyle. He works at my father's company.”
“Does he love you?”
“He does.” You smiled but it didn't quite reach your eyes.
It was sad that two people who didn't love each other had to be together while the ones they truly loved were out there, suffering and heartbroken. You couldn't even imagine how Jinyoung was feeling. You pictured him at his apartment in bed reading a book but eventually putting it down since he had read the same paragraph several times but didn't pay attention to it because you were the only thing he could think of. Then you imagined him laying down hoping that your scent was still clinging onto his sheets.
Shaking your head and pushing back the tears that started to well up in your eyes, you poured yourself another shot. You had to move on.
☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆ .。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・
The day before the wedding was spent with your closest girl friends at a spa, as they gushed over how lucky you were for marrying such a successful handsome man. Truth to be told, you didn't feel lucky at all. But you let them believe you did, you played your part well. After all, that was what everyone expected from you.
☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆ .。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・
On your wedding day, you were a ball of stress and anxiety. Yet, to everyone around you, you seemed calm. Too calm. You felt miserable, you felt like crying and screaming but you couldn't.
“Did you and dad meet the same way Jaebum and I met?” You asked your mother as she zipped up your dress.
“Yes.” She finally admitted.
“Were you in love with someone else?”
“No, why?”
“Nothing, just curious.” You shook your head.
Your bridesmaids walked into the room, their high pitched voices were heard before you even saw them and they were giving you a headache. After they all complimented you on how good you looked on your Vera Wang dress, you walked if they could give you some time alone since you wanted to relax. It wasn't exactly a lie, but you just wanted them out of your face.
You hadn't slept in over twenty-four hours, your fingers itching to call Jinyoung. He was probably home feeling like shit, knowing he was minutes away from losing you forever.
And it wasn't like you could divorce Jaebum later on. Divorces weren't really a thing in your world. You knew a lot of married couples who acted as if everything was fine but the love had died years ago if it was even there in the first place.
You glanced at the hotel room door behind you. And all it took you was twenty seconds of insane courage for you to grab a notepad and a pen that were laying around. You wrote two notes. One for your parents, your family, Jaebum's family, the guests.
Don't look for me
Then another for Jaebum, the man you were going to leave at the altar. The man who was as broken-hearted as you.
I'm sorry
After placing both pieces of paper in a place where they'd be visible, you placed your engagement ring next to Jaebum's note. Then you grabbed your bag looked back. You were aware of the consequences of what you were about to do but you couldn't bring yourself to care.
“(Y/N)” The door opened revealing your brother “Mom sent me here, she said you were acting weird.”
You looked at him as if you were a deer caught in headlights. Mingyu took a quick look around the room, understanding what you were about to do.
“Are...are you running away?”
At his words, you broke down in tears letting out all be sadness and stress you had pent up for so long.
“I can't do this.” You sobbed “I can't.”
Mingyu locked the door and walked over to you, a serious look on his face.
“Do you know what happens if you go through with this don't you?” You nodded “Do you think Jinyoung is worth all that?” You nodded again.
Your brother sighed and ran a hand through his perfectly styled hair. He looked at you one last time before mumbling under his breath.
“Fuck.” He opened the door and peeked into the hallway “C’mon.”
“What are you doing?”
“I'm getting you out of here. C'mon hurry up you idiot.”
Without thinking twice, you followed him out the door. One of your hands held on to the dress preventing you from tripping while the other grasped your bag tightly.
Mingyu chose the stairs instead of the elevator and you were thankful that the hotel you rented out for the wedding was less than ten stories high.
Everyone else was in the back where the wedding would happen and the only person in the main lobby was the receptionist. Mingyu held up a finger to his lips and the man nodded. Once you were outside, Mingyu called you a cab.
“Wait, what about you?” You asked once you realized in how much trouble you brother could get by helping you run away from your own wedding “Why are you doing this?”
“You're my sister and I love you. And if you know that Jinyoung is the one that's going to make you happy, then…”
“Thank you.” You wrapped your arms around his torso hugging him “Thank you so much.”
Mingyu opened the car door for you. You glanced at the hotel door to see if anyone was coming after you. No one. Inside the cab, you looked up at your brother who smiled fondly at you.
“Thank you. I love you.”
Those were the last words you said to him before he closed the car door. You gave the driver Jinyoung's address and as the car drove away, you looked back at your brother who was still watching you. You waved and he waved back before returning to the hotel.
The car ride to Jinyoung's apartment was filled with anxiety but there was so much adrenaline in your veins that you barely noticed it. For the first time in a long time, you felt alive and you were loving every second of it. The driver stole glances at you every once in a while, probably dying to ask about the dress but you ignored him.
Once the cab came to a stop, you paid the driver and got out of the car as best as you could when more than half of you was a dress. People walking by gave you weird glances but you were only focused on one thing.
You knocked on the door and waited for what it felt like forever for the door to open as you prayed that Jinyoung was home. When the door opened, Jinyoung let out a shocked gasp and you smiled.
He looked you up and down a couple of times trying to figure out if he wasn't just imagining it. Maybe it was just his brain playing tricks on him, just to make him suffer and realized the mistake he had made when he let you go.
“Aren't you going to let me in?” But the moment he heard your voice, a sweet sound to his ears, he knew it was real.
“Fuck yes.” Jinyoung pulled you in for a kiss closing the door behind you and pressing your back against it.
You were pretty sure that your dress was stuck on the door but you didn't care. Not when you were back in Jinyoung's arms, not when you were back home. Because that's what it felt like. Coming back to Jinyoung felt like coming home after a day out in the cold, like a warm feeling that spread to your chest and brought a smile back to your lips.
All your worries, all the sadness, and stress from the previous months were gone like they were never there in the first place. You had turned your back on your family to allow yourself to be happy for once and there wasn't a single fiber in your body that regretted it. You knew that things were going to get hard for you after what you did but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. Not when you had Jinyoung back in your life. It'd be the two of you against the world. But it was okay. After all, you were his home too.

Can’t Hold Back
Summary: When your mom hires the infamous fuckboy from your school, Kim Jongdae, as your pool boy for the summer, your peaceful vacation plans are drastically changed.
Pairing: Jongdae x Female!Reader
Word Count: 13.1k
Warnings: Slow burn, pining, slight enemies to lovers, drinking, skinny dipping, smut, pool sex, oral (female receiving), slight jealous/possessive!Jongdae
A/N: So,,,, this happened. Let’s just say Jongdae’s blonde hair and the whole Ko Ko Bop summer vibe really inspired this, and I couldn’t help but write it. It really wasn’t supposed to be this long but clearly, I’m more whipped for Jongdae than I thought !! Thank you to Haley aka @rosecheol for beta-reading (u are the bomb) and Jewels for helping me with the title !! ~ Admin Ruby
“So, where’s your trip to this weekend?” you asked your mother.
With late July rolling around, it brought along with it not only hot summer days, but the chance to expand business to new up and coming companies. It wasn’t unusual for your mom to be out of the house often, on what you liked to call, “paid vacations.”
“The boss wants me in Chicago this time,” your mom responded, mouth fitted in a tight line, wary of your reaction.
Like she expected, you let out a disappointed groan.
It wasn’t fair – how she spent all summer, and most of the year, traveling across the country to all the places you dreamed of visiting. You wanted to be out, exploring the best tourist locations and checking out the well-known scenery, not holed up at home waiting for something exciting to happen.
You had tried to convince your mom to bring you along on her last trip, one to Seattle, but she didn’t budge. The company only allowed the employee to go, and she reminded you that you wouldn’t have had fun anyway being stuck in the hotel.
“I’m sorry darling.” Your mom halted her packing to look up at you. Her words sounded apologetic, and slightly hesitant. She hated leaving you home alone for days at a time, but she didn’t have much of a choice. “How about when I get back, we plan a trip, just the two of us?”
“Are you serious?” She nodded with a smile, a softer one this time, and you grinned back.
At least there would be one good thing to look forward to this summer.
She left the next morning with a rushed kiss pressed against your forehead as she recited the house rules she told you every time she left. You could almost mouth along to her words as she told you that you could have friends over if you wanted, as long as they didn’t break anything, and you kept the house clean.
“And call me if anything happens, ok?” She reminded you hurriedly, worry evident in her tone. Her doubts weren’t necessary, though; you were unlikely to get into any trouble while she was gone.
As you finished helping her stuff her bags into the backseat of the car her company had sent to pick her up, she pulled you into a quick hug. You squeezed her tightly before pulling away, eyebrows furrowing as you noticed the frown on her face.
“There was something else I wanted to tell you,” she explained, tiredly rubbing the bridge of her nose as if that would make the thought return to her mind.
“If you forgot it, I’m sure it was nothing important,” you assured her, and she seemed hesitant to brush the topic off, but finally did with a sigh.
“Now get in the car.” You ushered her in with a chuckle, waiting until she rolled down the window to continue. “You’re gonna miss your flight if you wait any longer.”
She looked down at her watch with wide eyes and gasped. “You’re right.” She quickly told the chauffeur she was ready before her gaze jumped back to catch yours, and she blew you a kiss. “I love you. Stay out of trouble.”
“No promises,” you teased, laughing at her shocked expression as the car started to pull away. With one last wave, it was heading down the street, finally disappearing as it turned a corner.
--
It was surprising how quiet the house was as you walked back in. You weren’t wearing shoes, but your footsteps were still able to be heard as you padded across the wooden floor. The silence was uncomfortable, and your itch to start your weekend off, despite it only being Thursday, was growing stronger, so you decided to have a movie marathon.
You snuggled up on the living room couch with a blanket and snacks. The Netflix logo occupied the television screen, and you scrolled your phone as you waited for it to load up.
I could invite Baekhyun over, you thought of your best friend absentmindedly. I doubt he’s doing anything exciting on a Thursday night.
You quickly opened your texts with him, sending him a quick message.
You: Movie night @ my place?
Barely thirty seconds passed before he had sent you a text back, his response making you frown.
Baek: Can’t :( Family cookout 2night
You let out a sigh in sympathy for him. He had never liked family parties, and you doubted this one was going any more splendidly than usual, especially since his aunts, uncles, and even cousins were probably staring disapprovingly at the bright pink color he had dyed his hair for the summer.
You: Oof, sorry 2 hear that :( Good luck!
You received another sad emoji in response but didn’t bother texting back. Knowing his parents, he probably wasn’t allowed to be on his phone anyway.
You set down your phone, eyes drifting back to your TV screen as you decided to start your movie marathon alone. You hadn’t seen any of the films you had picked out before, always being too busy during the school year to find time to watch them, so this was the perfect opportunity.
When the third movie rolled around, however, the plot far more boring than the previous two, you couldn’t fight back the sleepiness creeping up on you. Before you knew it, you had fallen asleep on the couch.
--
You woke up with sore neck and back, but it didn’t take away from your weekend excitement, and when late evening finally rolled around, you got ready for a relaxing swim.
Before jumping in the water, however, you snapped a couple pictures of the pool, your swimsuit, and a cute selfie and uploaded them. The posts oddly got a few more likes than your usual pictures, but you scoffed seeing that the extra hearts had been a few fuckboys from your previous year classes. They never seemed to pay attention to your posts unless you included a selfie, or in this case, a selfie and a bathing suit pic.
You scrolled through their comments with narrowed eyes, almost laughing at how visibly desperate for attention they all were. Some guy named Yifan from your English class threw a bunch of fire emojis in his comment, while a kid you seemed to always get in your P.E. class every year, Luhan, left “invite me over for a swim sometime ;)”.
You ignored the comments with a cringe, clicking out of the app.
The sun had started to lower at this point, and the sky was left a hazy pink, splotched with clouds. It was the perfect time and temperature for an evening swim, so you set your stuff down and tiptoed over to the pool. The water was slightly chilly as you dipped your toe in, but you knew it wouldn’t be as bad once you got in.
Slowly, you lowered yourself into the water, wading deeper as your body adjusted to the cool feeling. At first you slowly walked around the pool, but soon you were starting to swim around the edges, lazily completing a few laps.
In less than 20 minutes the sun had almost completely dropped from the horizon, and you cursed the summer’s fluctuating time patterns. You didn’t feel like getting out of the pool just yet, but you knew you’d have to go in soon.
There wasn’t much to do without anyone else there, but then your mind wandered to an idea.
Maybe a quick skinny dip before heading inside wouldn’t be so bad.
Your blood rushed to your face at the thought alone, but it sounded exciting. Exactly what you needed to amp up your weekend. It wasn’t something you did often, but it was dark, and you were home alone, so why not?
First, you shyly peeled off your bra piece, covering your chest with your hands as you glanced around the backyard. You slowly lowered yourself into the water until just your neck and up were above the water line. Sure, it wasn’t like anyone was going to see you, but your conscious still told you to be careful, just in case.
Next was your bikini bottom which you were slightly more hesitant to remove. You worked the fabric down your legs, before tossing it on the side of the pool, close enough that you could quickly grab it if needed.
It took a couple minutes before you felt entirely comfortable, but once you did, you giggled to yourself and swam around the pool, adrenaline running through your veins. You felt like nothing could bring you down in that moment.
Until, you heard shuffling by the back gate.
Immediately, your blood ran cold. The gate wasn’t hard to open, with no lock there preventing a burglar from breaking in if they tried hard enough. A hushed voice was barely audible from around the wall, but it was enough of a confirmation that you needed to get out of there.
Knowing that you wouldn’t be able to grab and put on your swimsuit in time, you hurriedly looked around for your towel, cursing when you saw it hanging across the back of the chair you had been sitting in earlier on the other side of the pool.
The footsteps grew closer, louder, shoes crunching on the pebbles by the back door.
“Minseok!” A hissed word and another step. “It’s not like I’m breaking in. I’ll be working here tomorrow anyway.”
The name sounded familiar, but you gave yourself no time to think about it as you pushed yourself to the other side of the pool, holding your breath and hoping that the small waves you were making weren’t loud enough to be heard.
“Of course no one is home, I’m not an idiot.” The voice spoke again, slightly louder this time, and into a phone, you assumed, since you hadn’t heard anyone else speaking. “There weren’t any cars in the driveway, and the owner mentioned something about a business trip.”
Oh, how wrong they are, you thought as you reached for your towel, fingertips barely grazing the fabric as you stretched further. You cursed and lunged for it again, barely grasping it in your hand before you heard a gasp.
“Minseok…” You turned quickly, eyes widening as you saw Jongdae, one of the countless fuckboys from your school staring at you with a smirk.
“I’m gonna need to call you back.”
You were fairly sure all your neighbors heard your deafening scream as you fell back into the pool, hands scrambling to wrap around your chest as you glared up at Jongdae, a mixture of fear and anger coursing through your veins.
You knew him. You knew the guy breaking into your backyard. That thought, combined with the fact that he didn’t seem to be holding a weapon, made you slightly less terrified. He was completely harmless, as far as you knew, unless you counted the endless number of pranks he pulled on all the unsuspecting students and staff members at the school.
“What are you doing here?” You hissed as you curled into yourself. Jongdae held up his hand, telling you to wait while he ended his call. Your glare hardened. You heard the person on the other end, Minseok presumably, yelling through the phone as Jongdae pulled it away from his ear, ending the call with a roll of his eyes.
“Sorry, what’d you say?’ Jongdae returned his attention to you, bright teeth exposing with a grin.
You wanted to knock that smile off his face. How dare he break in to your backyard, and then have the audacity to stand there like he hadn’t done anything wrong?
“I said, what the hell are you doing here?”
He looked around, brown eyes widening as if he just now noticed he was standing in your backyard, uninvited. His gaze nervously returned to meet your furious one, his bottom lip pulled between his teeth.
“I, uh--” Jongdae’s eyes drifted down from your face, and you self consciously wrapped your arms around yourself tighter as he looked at the pool, realization dawning on his features, “I’m here to clean your pool! Yes, that’s why I’m here. I was… hired, that’s the word I was looking for.”
You almost forgot you were standing practically naked in front of your classmate as you stared at him suspiciously.
“We didn’t hire a pool boy,” you scoffed. “Or, at least, I didn’t,” you continued with a mumble, half to yourself. Jongdae seemed to catch your words since he broke out in a chuckle.
“You’re telling me your mom didn’t tell you that’d I’d be over?” He smirked, and you felt your anger increasing.
“Trust me,” you spat, “if my mom told me I’d have to deal with your annoying ass for the rest of summer, I’d remember.”
Jongdae feigned hurt, but you just ignored him and continued.
“If you’re here to clean the pool, why didn’t you just talk to me like a normal person and come through the front door?” you asked, still wary of his intentions.
“Well,” he nervously tapped his fingers against his thigh. “I would have… tomorrow.” Your confused expression forced him to continue, and he let out a heavy sigh. “My job technically starts tomorrow, but I thought...” he trailed off, shrugging his shoulders.
“No, please.” You crossed your arms, still effectively covering your chest. “Continue.”
Jongdae pouted, blowing out a huff of air before he relented. “I thought I could drop by to get a quick look at the pool.” At your shocked expression, he held his hands out in front of him, shaking them quickly. “I wasn’t going to steal anything or hurt anyone, I swear! I didn’t even know you were home. I thought the house was empty.”
“Yeah, I heard.” You could’ve sworn you’d see an embarrassed blush spreading across Jongdae’s cheeks if not for the dim lighting. “Anyway, you do realize I could technically fire you for this, right?” You threatened, relishing in the surprised look on Jongdae’s face.
It was so tempting. Here was one of the most annoying boys from your school, standing in your backyard, the fate of his summer job in your hands. You wouldn’t even feel guilty doing it. He deserved it for breaking in and scaring the shit out of you. You could call the cops if you really wanted to, but he wasn’t worth the trouble, and you wanted to handle him yourself. “It’s not like my mother would be angry, not after I told her what you did.” Jongdae almost looked fearful now.
“Look,” Jongdae cut you off, and it was amusing seeing his usual confidence fade with every word he spoke. “How about you just get out of the pool, and we can talk this through?”
You stiffened up. You had been so distracted by Jongdae, you almost forgot you were swimming naked in front of him. It didn’t seem like he noticed; he had been too involved in his phone call to see it earlier, and considering it was dark, your body was hidden under the water.
You froze, subconsciously lowering yourself deeper in the water. Your eyes darted over to your swimsuit, still laying on the pool edge, before you looked back at Jongdae quickly. It was too late though, his eyes had already followed your previous line of gaze, and his scared demeanor completely flipped as he smirked.
“Oh.” He walked over to the other side of the pool, steps maddeningly slow. You sunk lower into the pool. A slow, painful death by drowning would be better than the embarrassment you were facing now.
His leaned down, fingers curling around your bikini bottoms, before he lifted the damp red fabric into the air.
“What is this?” He teased, eyes twinkling as he looked at you.
“Give that to me!” You snapped, lunging at him, but immediately cowered back when his eyes darted down to focus on your chest as it began to rise above the water. You scowled. It was final. You needed Kim Jongdae out of your backyard, and fast.
“You know,” He stuffed the red bikini bottoms into his back pocket. “I don’t think I will.”
The pure shock and fury clouding your mind prevented you from speaking as you stared at him, mouth gaping.
“Let’s make a deal,” Jongdae began. “You don’t bring this night up to anyone, let me keep my job, and I won’t tell anyone that you invited me over for a late night skinny dip.”
You gulped. If the rest of the school thought you invited Jongdae, a known player, over, you’d never hear the end of it. Sure, you weren’t insanely popular, but you had a reputation to uphold, and you weren’t going to let that be ruined by a stupid lie.
“Fine,” you agreed hesitantly.
Jongdae didn’t seem too surprised by your answer, like he knew you’d say yes. You weren’t shocked by your own response, either: he had given you no choice.
“Well, with that settled, I’ll be on my way.” Jongdae bid you one last tilt of his head, along with a wink, before he began to head to the back gate. Your eyes widened as you hurriedly paddled over to the edge of the pool, calling out to him.
“Can’t you at least give me my bathing suit back?” you yelled.
Jongdae peered his head around the corner wall, pretending to think for a second before he shook his head. “Nope. If you break our deal, I need some proof.”
You were about to argue, knowing you couldn’t break the deal since he could convince the school of anything with his level of popularity, but he had already disappeared, the sound of the gate falling shut sounding his departure.
You huffed angrily.
You had already dealt with him throughout the school year, but the two of you rarely spoke. He was in a couple of your classes, but he never bothered you, and you only heard about him through rumors that other kids spread. He didn’t seem harmful-- annoying, yes, but not harmful. It’d be easy to ignore him, even if he were at your house a couple times a week. As long as he kept up his side of this deal, and you kept yours, he’d leave you alone.
Maybe, you thought, hoped, just maybe, this summer wouldn’t be so bad.
--
Oh, how wrong you had been.
When you woke up, all the previous night’s decisions came flooding back to you, and you rolled out of bed with a groan. There was a terrible, nagging feeling of regret deep in the pit of your stomach, but you also knew that there was no avoiding the situation, and you’d have to face Jongdae when he showed up.
Which happened to be around noon.
He had the courtesy to knock on the door this time, grinning confidently at you when you opened it.
“I’ll be in the back, so try not to freak out if you see me there like last time,” he taunted, but you brushed it off. The only way you were going to get through the rest of these next few months would be to ignore him at every moment possible. Getting into any type of conversation with him, good or bad, would lead you down a path you didn’t want to explore.
“I don’t care,” you sighed, “Just let me know when you’re leaving so I can pay you or whatever.”
Jongdae opened his mouth, but you gave him no chance to speak again as you slammed the door closed in his face. You wanted him gone, so the sooner he completed his job, the better.
He didn’t make any effort to regain your attention, so you assumed he had already gone around to the back. With a relieved sigh, you headed down the hall, intent on pretending he didn’t exist while you got ready for the day.
It wasn’t until you were done getting cleaned up and walking out of the bathroom that you realized it probably wasn’t a good idea to leave Jongdae unsupervised by the pool. He had just broken in the night before.
You cursed, quickly walking into the living room which luckily provided a view outside through the glass back door. Trying to be inconspicuous, you casually flopped onto the couch, pretending to scroll your phone. From the corner of your eye you could see Jongdae outside, staring confusedly at the pool net in his hands. You turned slightly to see him better as he began to skim the top of the water, catching leaves and other debris in the basket.
He had to go over a few areas a couple times to catch what he had previously missed, but it seemed like he was actually trying, which surprised you. You looked over at him every couple minutes, making sure he wasn’t messing anything up, but didn’t stare too long for it to be obvious.
It wasn’t until he started to use the pool vacuum that you knew you’d need to intervene. You were no pool expert, but you were fairly sure that the hose was not supposed to go there, and Jongdae looked beyond confused as he attempted to attach the pole to the head.
With a huff, you pushed yourself off the couch, pacing over to the back door before opening it.
Jongdae’s head whipped up, the corner of his lips upturned in a nervous smile as you stared at him. Both of your eyes then dropped to the scattered plastic pieces of the vacuum on the ground, and Jongdae quickly stepped in front of them as if that would hide them from your view.
“I’m just, uh, putting this all together,” he chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand. It was obvious, if not from the look on his face, but the poorly assembled equipment, that he had no idea what he was doing.
You’d think a guy trying to get a job as a pool boy would actually research how to clean a pool, you thought with a sigh as you stepped outside, closing the back door behind you. Jongdae stayed still in place as you approached him.
“Look, I don’t want you here, and I doubt you want to be here either, so let’s just figure this out so you can get your job done and leave.” Your tone was slightly harsher than you had anticipated, but it was the truth. A person like Jongdae surely had a busy summer planned, hanging out with friends and attending parties, and you didn’t want to be the one he blamed if he couldn’t do that. You, on the other hand, just wanted to get back to your relaxing Saturday without feeling like you were babysitting a child that required constant supervising.
If you had been paying enough attention, you would’ve noticed the slightly hurt look that took over Jongdae’s face, but he quickly covered it up with a neutral expression as he nodded. You whipped out your phone, looking up how to assemble a pool vacuum, making a pleased sound when you found a detailed description.
“Here we go!” You smirked triumphantly. Jongdae’s eyebrows raised, and he quickly came to stand behind you, looking over your shoulder at the illustrated diagram. You tried to ignore the way his body heat radiated against you due to your proximity, and the way you could feel his breath against your neck, making the hairs on your nape raise up.
You turned the screen towards him, so he could see it better, and he stayed silent as his eyes darted between the instructions and the pieces on the ground. You did the same, before handing him the phone and dropping to your knees to try to piece a couple of the pieces together based on what you had read. Jongdae kneeled next to you, reciting the steps as best he could, while you attempted to put everything together. It was easier than it looked, and the two of you only messed up a few more times before you had a perfectly assembled pool vacuum.
“Well,” you stood with a grunt, wiping your hands off on your shorts before grabbing your phone back. “That should do it. I’m heading in now.”
Jongdae, now holding the cleaner handle in his hands, looked at you with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Are you sure? What if I get into something while you’re gone?”
You narrowed your eyes at him. He smirked. It was clear if you left him alone, you’d come to regret it. There was no trusting Jongdae, which meant he was unfortunately right, you’d have to watch over him until he left.
“Fine,” you huffed. “I’m grabbing a book though, one sec.” You quickly stepped over to the door, swinging it open before turning back to him with a glare. “If you break something before I come back, I’m firing you for real.”
You were only a few steps into the house before you heard Jongdae’s yelled reply, his signature smirk visibly heard in his words. “Can’t do that, Kitten. It’s against our rules.”
You ignored his comment, hoping he thought you were too far away to hear it, and you convinced yourself that the warm flush of your skin was from the few moments spent outside, not the nickname rolling off his tongue.
--
There were a lot of things you regretted about your acquaintance with Jongdae, but staying outside with him had to be the worst decision you had made thus far.
It had started out fine. Jongdae was shockingly quiet, letting you focus on your book while he cleaned the pool. You looked over the top of your pages every few minutes, making sure he stayed focus, but ultimately you got distracted by your book, and quickly read through a couple chapters. It wasn’t until you were turning another page, that you realized the rustling of paper was louder than Jongdae himself, something that made you slit your eyes in suspicion.
Jongdae was never quiet, and if he was, then he was planning something.
You quietly bookmarked your page by folding the corner, but didn’t close the book, pretending to read it while your eyes flickered to focus on Jongdae. He was humming to himself as he pushed the vacuum around the bottom of the pool, still entirely focus on his tasks like before.
Maybe I was just overreacting, you thought, and were about to resume your reading when it happened.
Jongdae balanced the handle of the cleaner onto the inside side of the pool, before he stretched his arms above his head with a sigh, a satisfied mewl leaving his lips as his bones cracked into place. Then, his arms moved back to his neck, and before you could blink, he had grabbed the back hem of his shirt, and pulled it over his head.
You softly gasped as tan, toned skin came into view, mouth opening wider as Jongdae turned around with a bright, teasing smile, sending you a wink.
Immediately, your eyes fitted back to your book, the words on the page blurring together as you tried to concentrate on them. Faintly, you heard Jongdae chuckle at your reaction before he turned back to his work, the muscles on his arms visibly flexing as he stretched them.
Of course he had to be attractive. Of course the guy you were expected to ignore the entire summer, the guy who would be at your house every week, had to have the broadest shoulders you had ever seen in your life.
Jongdae was not a polite person either, and it was obvious in his actions, which seemed overly dramatic as he tried to gain a reaction from you. He used his thin shirt to wipe off the sweat on the back of his neck, before throwing the damp white fabric down to the ground. You would’ve scolded him, but you couldn’t speak, mouth still parted slightly as you gulped.
You couldn’t let him get to you though. If he caught you staring or if you offered him any acknowledgement, Jongdae would never let you live it down. He had already showed his intentions with the bet, and they weren’t the purest.
With that reminder in mind, you turned back to your book, and hoped that Jongdae wouldn’t do anything too extravagant for the rest of the evening.
Luckily, the rest of Jongdae’s shift passed by quietly. You were on the last page of your chapter, in the heart of the climax, when the sound of rustling fabric had your eyes drifting from your book. Jongdae, now fully clothed much to your relief, was working on putting the pool vacuum back to its spot in your backyard shed.
After assuring it was put away carefully, Jongdae walked back over to stand in front of you.
“I’m gonna head out now.” He yawned, rolling his head to stretch his neck. You nodded, waiting for him to hurry up and leave, but he continued to stand there, now looking at you expectantly. You stared right back, confusion evident in your expression when he scoffed.
“Hard work doesn’t come free sweetheart,” he reminded you, and you could barely keep yourself from rolling your eyes. He had cleaned your pool, with your help no less, and he was still so convinced that his work was something awe-inspiring.
“Fine, let me go grab my wallet.” You stood up from your chair with a huff, rage practically boiling in your veins. Not only was Jongdae blackmailing you out of enjoying your summer break, but he also had to take money from you too? He couldn’t just wait until your mom got back and could actually pay him his promised wage? No, he had to take it directly from you.
You quickly went to your room, moving around the stuff on your desk as you searched for your wallet. Faintly, you heard Jongdae yell something from outside, but you ignored it, frustration growing. You had barely been gone for 30 seconds, couldn’t he have waited another minute?
Finally, under your bag, you found your wallet. You quickly pulled a couple bills from it, cringing as you held $50 in your hands. It should’ve been enough, you hoped, but if it wasn’t, you didn’t know what you would do. You weren’t going to empty all the spending money from your wallet for Jongdae’s thirty minutes of pool cleaning.
With the few bills clasped tightly between your fingers, you stomped back outside. The door was still open, so you quickly stepped out, eyebrows furrowing as you realized Jongdae was nowhere to be seen. You gave another glance around the backyard, checking by the shed, and side of the house, but he was gone.
It was odd. You still had to pay him, and he had previously been so adamant about the cost of his ‘hard work.’
Now completely sure that Jongdae was gone, no sign of him anywhere outside, you stepped back inside. You knew you’d have to question him about his sudden disappearance the next time he came, but for now you were relieved.
He was out of your hair for the next week at least, and you were still the proud owner of $50.
--
The following week, you had the opportunity to ask Jongdae, but his response wasn’t something you had expected to hear.
“I didn’t want to take money from you.” He shrugged.
You narrowed your eyes at him, his answer surprisingly kind, but didn’t bother arguing. Your mother had returned from her trip, and she was more than adamant about paying him his promised amount, plus an added tip for waiting so patiently. You bit your tongue to stop yourself from speaking up, from telling her about his whining and what really happened while she was gone.
“It really was no trouble, Miss.” Jongdae grinned, and you could practically hear your mom inwardly wooing over him. He was unfortunately very charming, and it seemed like you were the only one immune to it. “I should be thanking you for giving me this job. It’s really helping me out this summer.”
Your mom laughed his compliment off, smile growing on her face. “Of course, Jongdae. I’m glad I could help out. I’m just sorry I wasn’t here last week to welcome you and show you around.”
Jongdae’s eyes darted over to you, sparkling as he spoke up. “Y/N kept me company.”
You glared at him for half a second, before turning to face your mom with a fake smile. “Yeah, he was in my class last year, so we recognized each other.”
Your mom instantly cooed, going into a ramble about how glad she was that you knew each other. She was practically forcing you to spend more time with Jongdae as she started suggesting the two of you hang out more, so that work would be something he could look forward to. Both you and Jongdae nodded along to her words, and during her incessant chatter, when she wasn’t paying close attention, Jongdae sent you a wink.
It wasn’t hard to understand the meaning behind the gesture. With your mother’s permission, an invitation basically, Jongdae had the possibility to annoy you the whole summer break.
And if you knew anything about the pool boy, then you were sure he’d jump at the chance.
--
Avoiding Jongdae and pretending he didn’t exist was easier said than done.
On the days he came by and your mother was home, she’d practically usher you outside to keep him company while he worked. She had brought up how cute you two looked together the night after she met him, and you couldn’t fight the embarrassed blush that heated your cheeks as she sent you a wink whenever he arrived.
Since it was likely she was looking outside often to check on you, you tried to keep it civil with Jongdae. The second your mom was gone though, her back turned or her presence gone from the house completely, you wouldn’t hesitate to flip off the pool boy in front of you.
Jongdae was the same way. In front of your mother, he was all eye smiles and sickly sweet words. With you, his grin became more mischievous, his words more teasing.
It was impossible to avoid him even on the days he was gone. The pure frustration of having to deal with him plagued your mind throughout the week, and the idea of him filled your thoughts constantly. You tried to bring up your struggle with Baekhyun, but he only teased you about it, claiming that Jongdae had you so smitten you couldn’t go a second without thinking of him.
That conversation had ended as quickly as it began. There was no way you were falling for Jongdae, not even a little bit. Sure he was attractive, and sure his pet names made your heart flutter, but those were only normal observations and reactions, right?
Whatever affect he was having on you needed to end one way or another. You were determined to not waste your summer break thinking of a guy like him, and it was important for you to spend your days alone doing things that distracted you from the thought of him.
Which is why, when your mom brought up another trip she was taking, you made a plan.
With the help of Baekhyun, you were preparing to throw a party. Summer was at its peak and your house was the perfect place for a crazy night. People could swim, drink, do whatever they pleased really, and there was no risk of a parent shutting it all down.
Baekhyun was beyond excited with the idea, immediately telling all his other friends the plan, and posting about it on his social media accounts. With his large following, it didn’t take long for the date to start circulating.
The day before the party, a calm Thursday afternoon, you headed out to the grocery store with Baekhyun. Your mom had just left for the airport, and you still had to grab snacks and drinks for the party.
“I can’t believe you told so many people about tomorrow,” you laughed, grabbing bags of chips off the shelves and tossing them in your cart. “Do you know how much I’m going to have to spend on food?”
Baekhyun grinned and shrugged. “The more the merrier. And don’t worry, I’ll help pay.”
“You better!” You playfully jabbed your elbow into his side, giggling at the overdramatic gasp of fake pain he let out.
After a few more aisles, you both made it to the drink section. You were in the middle of scolding Baekhyun for how much he was spending on soda, but your bickering was cut off when you heard your name being called.
“Y/N!”
The voice was too familiar for comfort, and you didn’t turn around until the second time you heard it, not at all surprised when Jongdae came walking up to you. His normal pool shorts and t-shirt combo was nowhere to be seen, and you inwardly cursed at the way the dark tank top and tight black jeans clung to his lean body.
“Hey, fancy seeing you here.” He smirked, looking at you for a second too long before his eyes drifted behind you to where Baekhyun was standing, looking like a deer in headlights as he held the soda bottle in his hands close to his chest.
“It’s a grocery store, lots of people come here,” you shot back.
Jongdae hummed, but you noticed his attention was still on Baekhyun. If you weren’t wrong, it looked almost like he was sizing him up, eyes trailing up and down his figure. There was a look in his eyes you hadn’t seen before, and your best guess for the emotion swirling in his irises was jealousy.
That was highly unlikely though. Jongdae didn’t like you-- that you were sure of.
Baekhyun, noticing the eyes on him, placed the drinks down and looked up at Jongdae. Immediately his normal confidence returned, and he sent an over-enthusiastic grin.
“I’m Baekhyun, Y/N’s best friend.”
It seemed like Jongdae relaxed a bit at the word “friend” but you weren’t sure if your mind was still playing tricks on you or not, so you ignored it.
“Jongdae,” he started, “I work for Y/N’s mom.”
Baekhyun nodded, acting interested as if he hadn’t heard you venting about Jongdae for the past few weeks on end.
“I’ve heard,” Baekhyun offhandedly remarked, not missing the way both your and Jongdae’s eyes widened. While you stood awkwardly, Jongdae regained his composure with a grin, and you could almost see his ego grow as he realized you talked about him.
Hoping to escape from the situation as quietly and quickly as you could, you turned your attention back to Baekhyun.
“Did you get what we needed?” you asked, and Baekhyun nodded, content with the amount of drinks he had hoarded.
Jongdae, now noticing the excess amount of snacks and sodas collected in your cart, raised his eyebrow. “Got something fun planned?”
You began to speak, intent on coming up with any outrageous story you could to throw Jongdae off the tracks of your party. Unfortunately, before you could get a word out, Baekhyun stepped forward with a sly smile sent your way.
“Oh, you didn’t hear? Y/N is having a party at her place tomorrow. We’re grabbing snacks.”
You stiffened up, looking over at Baekhyun and hoping he noticed the desperation in your face. This was going to be your one day away from Jongdae and everything related to him. He couldn’t know!
“Really? I hadn’t heard,” Jongdae remarked, looking over at you with surprise.
Both pairs of eyes were on you now, and you knew you had no way of escaping without speaking up.
“I uh, I really didn’t tell many people about it. Baekhyun did most of the inviting.” It was partly true: gathering people hadn’t been your main objective. You knew Jongdae would still question your motives though, considering the fact that he was over at your place so often.
There wasn’t any time for more excuses or questions though, since Baekhyun seemed ready to end the conversation with a questionable solution.
“You should come, if you’re free tomorrow, of course,” he offered, and Jongdae seemed to consider the proposal before he looked back at you.
“Only if Y/N is ok with it.”
To anyone else, the statement would’ve seemed polite, considerate. You knew what Jongdae was thinking though.
There was no way you could have said no. Surely you would’ve heard a mouthful from Baekhyun if you did, and you still had to deal with Jongdae for another couple weeks, so it was best to stay on his good side.
“Y-yeah, sounds good.” You cleared your throat and nodded.
Jongdae smirked, not at all surprised by your answer. Just like the night at the pool, you had no other choice. He had you in the palm of his hands.
“I’ll see you two tomorrow night then.”
--
“I cannot believe you invited Jongdae like that!” You scoffed, pouting when Baekhyun chuckled.
You were both standing in front of the mirror in your bathroom, checking over your appearance one last time before the party started. Baekhyun was playing around with his hair, fluffing it as he tried to decide whether to have his bangs pushed back or hanging in his face.
“You wouldn’t have let him come if it weren’t for me,” Baekhyun said.
You stopped fixing your own hair to look over at him. “That was the point.”
Baekhyun shook his head with a laugh, staring at your reflection. “You mean to tell me you have no feelings for him?”
You couldn’t stop the shocked look that erupted over your features. You, having feelings for Jongdae? That was the most outrageous idea you’d ever heard.
“You’ve got to be kidding me Baekhyun.” He shrugged, still not entirely convinced, and you knew you’d need to elaborate.
“Have you seen how he acts? He’s so infuriating, he can’t do his job, and he’s not the type of guy you feel complimented with when he hits on you. Jongdae would flirt with anything that breathed for God’s sake.” You started a rant, the easily noticeable flaws being the first you complained about. It was so easy to get worked up over Jongdae, and you had to stop yourself from bringing up the pool night to Baekhyun.
Sure, you trusted him more than anyone, but he had a tendency to get overly excited about information, and you knew he wouldn’t be able to keep the secret from at least one person who would spread it around.
Baekhyun hummed. “I guess those are valid reasons. You still talk about him a lot though.”
The doorbell rang before you could defend yourself, Baekhyun running off to go greet the guests while you stared in the mirror.
There was no way Jongdae was getting to you, right?
--
The party was in full swing before you knew it.
Most of Baekhyun’s closer friends had arrived first, which made it easier to ease into the whole situation. You had met a couple of them before, like Chanyeol and Kyungsoo, but soon enough other students starting filing into the living room and kitchen. The poolside was crowded too, with groups of people chatting on the seats outside and others jumping straight into the water.
You had lost sight of Baekhyun a while back, whether he was making out in the bathroom or taking shots, you weren’t sure. You just hoped he didn’t get so wasted he couldn’t help you clean up the aftermath of the party.
For now, you were having fun though. Jongdae was nowhere to be seen, and people all around seemed to be having a good time. A couple kids had snuck some alcohol in, so tipsy partygoers weren’t hard to miss, giggling and stumbling as they danced to the loud music playing.
It was exactly the type of night you had been waiting to have the whole summer break, and you planned to make the most of it. Heading to the kitchen, you mixed up a punch-like drink, mingling with the others in the kitchen while you slowly sipped the fruity concoction.
It wasn’t long before you noticed a tall figure enter the kitchen, not missing the way Yifan’s eyes locked onto your figure. He wasted no time in walking over to you, leaning back against the counter next to you.
“Hey baby, wanna make me a drink too?”
You tried your best not to roll your eyes. It seemed like you couldn’t avoid all the fuckboys tonight. Still, Yifan was good looking, and he would be fun to flirt around with, even if just to distract yourself from another guy on your mind.
“Sure, what do you want?”
Yifan seemed taken back by your agreement, but quickly composed himself. “Whatever you’re having.”
You shrugged but starting making another drink similar to your own. He didn’t seem like the type to want a fruity punch, but it’s what he asked for, and who were you to deny his wishes? It was a little surprising when you handed him the drink, and he seemed pleased with it, drinking it quickly.
You wouldn’t have pegged Yifan as a lightweight, but within a couple minutes, and another drink, he was already red in the face and stumbling slightly. He was laughing at almost everything you said, and you had to admit his gummy smile was pretty cute.
“Y-you look good tonight,” he hiccuped, and you smiled. You were just in a tank top and denim shorts, but you knew it fit you well. You had wanted to wear your new bikini, but with the bottoms missing, courtesy of Jongdae, you had to go for the next best choice.
It didn’t seem to matter to Yifan, though. He was still staring unabashedly at you, dark eyes mainly focused on your lips.
“Thanks, you don’t look too bad yourself.” It wasn’t exactly summer party attire, but the dark jeans and white t-shirt he wore still made him look good. His lips turned up in a lopsided smile at the compliment, and he leaned down to move closer to you.
But like always, the minute you began to enjoy yourself, there was a presence you just couldn’t shake off.
“Y/N, there you are!” Jongdae was quick to enter the kitchen the minute his eyes locked on you, standing far too close to Yifan in his opinion. He was beside you in the blink of an eye, swinging his arm around your shoulder as he faced you, completely ignoring the other man's presence.
You attempted to shrug him off, but he didn’t seem to be letting go of you anytime soon. “Jongdae,” you started, voice stern. “Is there something I can help you with? I’m trying to talk to Yifan here.”
You were not going to let Jongdae ruin your party, so you prayed to every holy entity up above that he wouldn’t need anything urgent, and he’d leave you alone. It was Jongdae you were talking about, though, so you couldn’t be surprised when he spoke up.
“I actually needed to talk to you, in private.” Of course he did.
“Yifan,” you grabbed the boy’s attention, which was slightly hard considering he was spacing out in a drunken haze. “Will you excuse me for a moment?”
He nodded, not seeming at all bothered by Jongdae’s intervention, and you just sighed.
Jongdae muttered some form of thanks before he immediately led you away from the kitchen. You begrudgingly let him pull you into the hallway, where it was slightly quieter than the rest of the house. There were still a couple people leaned against the wall talking though, and Jongdae didn’t seem pleased with that.
“Is there somewhere else we can go?” He asked, and you thought for a moment before looking over to your room. The door was still closed like you had left it, and you hoped no one had gone in for a hookup.
You gestured over to the room. “Come on.”
Jongdae quickly followed, and you looked around a couple times to make sure no one was watching you. You didn’t want anyone getting the wrong idea if they saw the two of you sneaking off together. Luckily, no one was paying attention, so the two of you stepped into the room.
It looked clean and untouched which made you let out a sigh of relief as you sat on the bed. Jongdae was still standing, looking down at you, and you waited for him to tell you what he had wanted to talk about so badly.
“Well?”
He scoffed, leaning against the wall. “Aren’t you glad I saved you from Yifan?”
You raised your eyebrow at him. “Saved? Clearly you didn’t notice that I was having fun then, Jongdae.”
Jongdae was the surprised one now, looking at you like you were speaking another language. “If you think you were going to get anything out of that conversation, you’re wrong, Kitten. Those types of guys only want one thing. You should know that.”
Immediately, you stood up from the bed, intent on leaving. It wasn’t fair for him to speak to you that way, as if you were completely ignorant to the thoughts going through teenage boy’s heads. Of course you knew the type of guy Yifan was, a fuckboy, just like Jongdae. That didn’t mean you were going to jump his bones in five seconds. You had barely flirted with him.
“I’m not listening to this.” You went to open the door, but Jongdae pushed against it, making you huff. “You’re unbelievable.”
“No,” he started. “Not until you listen to me.”
You crossed your arms, ready to hear whatever bullshit he wanted to spew if it meant you could leave.
“You have to be careful with those guys, Y/N.” His voice was softer now, as if he were truly concerned for your wellbeing. He started to lean closer, words coming out in a quiet murmur. “They aren’t always the safest to be around.”
You tried to move back, but hit the door, Jongdae effectively invading your space. “Those types of guys? Like you, you mean?” You were expecting him to argue back, his normal snark to enter the conversation like it usually did. He just nodded slightly though, moving closer until you could feel his breath as he spoke.
“Yeah… guys like me.” His expression seemed controlled, but you could see him internally fighting with whatever thoughts were battling in his mind. “We can’t control ourselves sometimes.”
He let out a sigh after the words, and you scrunched your nose when you smelled the alcohol on his breath. No wonder he was acting so different.
“Have you been drinking?” You questioned, and weren’t surprised when he nodded. “You should go easy on the alcohol,” you warned him. Despite slightly liking this more caring side of Jongdae, you could also see that, when tipsy, he seemed to be even more prone to getting into trouble.
Your suspicions were confirmed when Jongdae laughed your suggestion off, moving until your bodies were just inches away. “Mhm, you shouldn’t worry about me. I’ll be careful. I just need to look out for you.” His hand moved upward to push away a strand of your hair away from your face, before he let his palm rest on your cheek. You knew you should’ve pulled away, should’ve sat down Jongdae with a glass of water, but your cheek was tingling, and you couldn’t stop yourself from leaning into his electrifying touch. Maybe it was the liquid courage running through both of your veins, but there seemed to be a magnet between you two.
Jongdae’s thumb lightly traced your cheekbone. “Here I am telling you to be careful, warning you about other guys, when I’m the greatest threat.”
“Why is that?” You questioned.
He chuckled, tilting down his head so your lips were centimeters from touching.
“Because I’m the one that can’t hold back.”
There were no more words exchanged before your lips met, just a soft hesitant press at first. It was completely uncharted territory in your relationship, if it could even be considered that, and neither of you were confident enough to make the first move.
It wasn’t until you lightly gripped onto the hem of Jongdae’s shirt, a silent confirmation of what was happening, that his normal assertive mannerisms returned, his hand tipping your chin up so he could capture your lips better. The kiss itself was still sweet, your lips pressing perfectly together and moving in sync.
There was a second when you pulled away, as you caught your breath, and eyes connected, that a comfortable silence passed between you. Regret wasn’t visible from either of you, and that assurance had you wrapping your arms around his neck, Jongdae’s hands drifting down to grip at your waist.
The second time your lips met, all the pent up emotions and feelings between you two was tangible-- frustration, attraction, pining, and all the teasing-- twisting around the two of you like rope. Your fingers dug into the hair on Jongdae’s nape as he nibbled on your bottom lip, pulling it slightly before soothing over it with his tongue.
His own fingers dug into your waist when you returned the gesture, a slight gasp escaping his lips. It was the perfect opportunity and you immediately snuck your tongue into his mouth, letting it explore every area it could reach. It surprised you that Jongdae was letting you have this much control over the kiss, but you weren’t complaining. The feeling of him practically melting under your touch had you feeling more confident by the minute.
It wasn’t until you both pulled away, catching your breaths, that the reality of the situation hit you. It seemed to be an instant concern for the both of you, Jongdae looking at you like he couldn’t believe what just happened, the surprised expression reflected on your face.
“Shit,” he breathed, taking a step back, and insecurities immediately began to flood your thoughts. You awkwardly wrapped your arms around yourself, already missing the warm touch you had just experienced seconds earlier.
Disheveled and still in slight shock, Jongdae pushed back his blonde hair away from his forehead with a sigh. “I should go.”
Your heart dropped. Of course you had made the wrong decision. He had just been lecturing you on the negative impacts giving into a fuckboy would have, yet here you stood, lips swollen and hair messy from making out with one.
He grabbed for the door handle, and you moved away, letting him open it before rushing out, the door quickly closing behind him. You wasted no time collapsing against the wood, letting out a deep exhale.
Hesitantly, you raised your hand, fingertips brushing against your lips. If you focused hard enough, you could still feel his lips against yours. You could still feel the passion in his touch.
It soon faded cold however. The situation had sobered you up, and the regret was flooding your body. You didn’t know how you had let yourself get to this point, making out with Jongdae, in your room no less.
If anything, his sudden hesitation was a blessing in surprise. Who knows how far you would’ve gone if neither of you had thought about it.
The “what if’s” ran through your brain in a frenzy, but the main question you had for yourself overpowered them all.
Did this mean you liked Jongdae? And if so, what happened next?
--
You waited a few minutes before leaving the room, both to compose yourself, and also so you didn’t come rushing out right after Jongdae, which surely would have warranted some unwanted questions from anyone watching.
Baekhyun was standing out in the hall when you crept out of the room, leaning against the wall and conversing with Chanyeol. You lightly tapped on his shoulder when you came up behind him, and he turned to you with a smile.
“Have you seen Jongdae?” You questioned, cutting straight to the chase.
Baekhyun seemed surprised by your question, but shook his head. “No, I didn’t even know he was here tonight.”
You let out a small sigh of relief. He must have left.
“What about Yifan?” The guilt of leaving him alone in the kitchen ran back to you, and you had to make sure he was alright. He had been pretty tipsy last you saw him.
It was Chanyeol who spoke up that time. “I saw one of his friends helping him home. He was pretty wasted.”
The words helped you to relax a bit. Knowing he was safe was one thing, but knowing you wouldn’t have to deal with either guy for the rest of the night was really helping your nerves.
Baekhyun seemed to notice your off behavior, and sent you a sympathetic look before wrapping his arm around your shoulder. “We should get some drinks, what do you think?”
Your eager nod had both Baekhyun and Chanyeol chuckling, and the three of you headed to the kitchen. You were sure you’d have a killer hangover the following day, but if it meant forgetting half of the night, then you were willing to deal with it.
With that in mind, you tossed back the drinks, hoping you could swallow away the regret.
--
Unfortunately, in your drunken and regretful daze, you failed to remember that the following day was Saturday, which meant Jongdae would be coming by for work. Around noon, like always, the doorbell rang, but this time, you were still in bed, head pounding and beyond exhausted.
Faintly, you hoped it was your mom coming home early. You would’ve rather dealt with her walking in on the party stricken household than with Jongdae. You and Baekhyun had tidied up the place as much as you could last night, but with how tipsy you two were, you had barely been able to throw away the trash before passing out. Luckily, Chanyeol was able to get Baekhyun home, and you made it to your bed before completely collapsing.
The doorbell rang again, and you sighed, pushing yourself out of bed. It took all of your energy to stumble out of the room and get to the door, before you unlocked and opened it.
Jongdae stood there, sunglasses covering his most likely sensitive eyes, and posture slumped. You were sure you looked just as bad, with your party clothes from the night before now wrinkled on your figure, and mussed hair crazy from sleep. You were expecting it to be awkward, him showing up after the night beforehand, but it seemed like neither of you wanted to talk about what happened, and you were fine with that. It was a problem for another day.
The problem for today was work. Jongdae didn’t look to be in shape to do much of anything, and you didn’t feel like heading outside to join him either. It was hot, the sun was far too bright, and it’d probably end with the both of you getting sick.
“You don’t have to work today,” you told him, and cut him off before he could argue. “Just come in, get some breakfast and painkillers at least.”
It was too good of an offer to decline, so Jongdae stepped inside, taking off his sunglasses once the harsh light was out of his face. The idea of food sounded nauseating to both of you, but you both knew it would eventually help with the hangover.
Breakfast was uneventful, both of you eating in silence, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. The painkillers and water had helped with the headache and overall soreness, and the warm food had surprisingly helped with your upset stomach.
Once Jongdae had finished his plate, he pulled his sunglasses on, and stood up. “I should probably work now.” He seemed adamant, but you weren’t going to let him work even if he begged to. Your pool could survive a week without cleaning, but you weren’t sure how long Jongdae could survive the heat.
“Just go home and rest Jongdae. You can drop by next week, ok?”
He looked like he was going to protest, but the stern look on your face told him not to argue, so he nodded. You led him to the door, and made sure to send him home with a cool bottle of water too.
“Thanks, Kitten. I owe you one.”
He sent you one last smile as goodbye before heading to his car, and you closed the door with heat warming your face. The pet name still gave you butterflies as always, but this time, it gave you hope too. Maybe things with him weren’t as ruined as you thought.
--
The whole week, after you had woken up, cleaned the house, and welcomed your mom home, you spent thinking of Jongdae. The day after the party had given you hope that he wasn’t completely avoiding you, and with the following Saturday creeping up on you, you could only hope he’d show up this week again too.
It had taken many thoughtful days and restless nights, but you had finally come to a conclusion. You didn’t regret what happened at the party, and you hoped Jongdae didn’t either. It was undeniable, the chemistry between the two of you, and you were shocked it had taken so long for you to admit it.
Sure, you didn’t have the greatest first impression of Jongdae, but the traits and qualities he showed in the weeks following were quite admirable. He always worked hard, made you laugh, even if it was at your own expense, and despite denying it, he kept your summer exciting. Jongdae loosened you up, helped you worry less, and focus more on the present. He helped you focus on the decisions you were making rather than dwell on the past.
It was odd to finally admit it, liking Jongdae. You had put so much pressure on yourself to not think about him, avoid him when he came over if possible, even distract yourself from him with other guys, but none of it worked. His stupid charms had worked, and the thought scared you slightly.
He was still a fuckboy, he had still warned you about guys like him, and he still hadn’t brought up the night, so you had to be cautious. There would need to be a serious conversation before you tried anything, before you told him how you felt. You had to make sure Jongdae didn’t regret making out with you, and you had to make sure he had some sort of feelings for you.
The chance arose the following week, when Saturday rolled around. It was the perfect day. Your mom was out of the house, scheduled to be at the office all afternoon, and Jongdae was just minutes away from arriving for work.
You knew if you tried to have any conversation while he was cleaning, it’d be slightly awkward, since he’d be so focused on work, so you hoped he could finish quickly and you could bring up everything after.
You had gotten another bikini, after the other one was stolen, so you put that on quickly, with a pair of shorts. You also grabbed your book, a new one this time, so you could get through some of it while Jongdae worked.
Just as planned, the doorbell rang a little after noon, and you opened the door with a smile.
“Hey Jongdae.”
It wasn’t hard to see his eyes immediately drop from your face to your chest, then back up as quickly as possible. You’d never worn a bathing suit while you were outside with him, unless you counted the first time he came over, but you were literally naked at that point, so this was a bit of a shock to him.
He swallowed. “Hey.”
“Ready? I grabbed my book, so I’ll come outside and read if that’s ok. Maybe we can go for a swim after?” It was unlike you to ask Jongdae to join him outside, and you could see he was slightly confused by the question by the surprised look on his face, but it was all part of your plan. You needed to gauge his reaction and see if your whole plan was even worth it.
Jongdae chuckled. “Of course, it’s your backyard after all.”
Good answer, you thought. It wasn’t long before you were both outside, you situating yourself on one of the chairs by the pool, and Jongdae working on getting the pool vacuum out of the shed. For a little while, neither of you spoke much except for a comment here or there, Jongdae focusing on work while you got sucked into your book.
Around thirty minutes later, you heard some shuffling around, and saw Jongdae already putting the cleaning products away. Once he returned from the shed, he looked at you with a smirk.
“Still wanna swim?”
You nodded eagerly and grinned. Making sure your book was safe in the chair, and far away enough from the pool to avoid water splashes, you walked over to the pool. You quickly shimmied out of your shorts, not missing the way Jongdae watched you closely. He caught your eyes when you looked up, and instead of turning away like you would have expected, his stare only hardened and he smirked.
This bikini, unlike the last one, was blue, and the color complimented your skin tone nicely.
Jongdae followed suit, and you didn’t bother looking away as he pulled his t-shirt over his head. The sight of his lean and toned body still didn’t get old even though you had seen him shirtless many times while he was working. The faint defining lines on his abdomen and light trail of hair leading down into his shorts had you biting your lip, drinking the view in.
While you started slowly lowering yourself into the pool using the steps, Jongdae didn’t waste any time to jump in. You squealed as the water from his splash lightly hit you, and he started laughing as he rose out of the water, brushing his hair away from his face. Finally, you dropped entirely into the pool, your feet completely on the floor.
“It’s really warm,” you pointed out, and Jongdae hummed in agreement. “I’m surprised we haven’t swam together yet.”
“I’m not,” he chuckled, “because if we did, it would lead to a splash fight.”
You grinned mischievously before lightly pushing some water in his direction. It wasn’t a full splash, but it was enough for some water drops to hit his shoulder and the middle of his chest. Immediately his head snapped up, and he narrowed his eyes at you.
“Oh, we’re starting this?”
You shook your head playfully, backing up as fast as you could. It wasn’t fast enough though, since Jongdae was already flicking water in your direction, laughing as he moved closer to you. You attacked back, blindly splashing as much water you could in his direction while also trying to block yourself from his ongoing assault.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, since within only a couple seconds, Jongdae had made his way over to you, pinning you against the side of the pool while he grabbed your wrists. There was no getting out of his grip, so you just looked up at him with wide eyes.
From this angle, you could see the water droplets dripping down his face, rushing from his hairline down the bridge of his nose. You could see the small moles dotting his skin, clustered around the side of his forehead and scattered down his neck.
You could feel Jongdae’s eyes trailing down your face, focusing on your features. You watched as his gaze zeroed in on your lips, and the way his tongue ran across his bottom lip as he stared.
The tension, the feeling from the party, and all the other days beforehand had returned. It was suffocating the both of you, making the air between you both heavy with unspoken words.
There weren’t any words that needed to be exchanged, however, since Jongdae seemed to finally snap, letting go of your wrists to grab your waist and pull you close to him. Your lips immediately met, and you wrapped your legs around his waist, letting him push you against the edge of the pool for support. Your hands tangled into his wet hair, pulling on the strands and relishing in the groan he let out.
“Should we talk about this?” You murmured against his lips.
He bit your lip before pulling away, breathing heavily. “What’s there to talk about? Last I checked, you liked me, and I liked you. That should be enough, yeah?”
His lips had parted from yours for far too long, and the answer was good enough for you, so you just nodded before pulling him back to you. He chuckled into the kiss at your eagerness, making you pull his hair again in retaliation. It didn’t seem to be much of a punishment, however, since Jongdae just moaned at the feeling and slid his hands down to grip at your thighs.
“Sensitive,” you mumbled teasingly, squeaking when Jongdae lightly pinched at the skin on the back of your leg.
“You’re one to say that.”
You shut him up by distracting him with your tongue, letting it glide against his lower lip until his mouth parted slightly. Just like before, he let you lead. The movements were slow but passionate, making you drown in every feeling, making you responsive to every touch.
The warm water and his warm skin pressed against you from every angle. You couldn’t escape it. He drew patterns on your skin before his fingertips dug into your thighs, pulling you closer to him until there was no space between the two of you. The bulge at the front of his pool shorts was now extremely noticeable, but your own arousal was being reduced by the water, and you knew if you wanted to go any further you’d have to get out of the pool.
“Jongdae,” you murmured as you pulled away. He hummed in acknowledgement, pecking your lips a couple times, making you giggle. “Should we get out of the pool?”
Jongdae considered your words for a moment, thinking about the meaning behind them, before he shook his head. For a second you worried you had been too forward, but then Jongdae was lifting you up and out of the water, making you sit on the edge of pool, feet still dangling into the water.
You gripped the ledge of the pool, leaning back slightly and gasping at the warm ground underneath your back. Jongdae had the perfect position and leverage from where he stood, immediately diving forward to bury himself between your legs. His hands gripped your thighs and lightly pulled them apart before pressing his cheek against your inner leg. Looking down at him, the sight made your heart speed up. He was staring up at you with a smirk, eyes darkening.
“I like this new swimsuit of yours,” Jongdae hummed, fingers dancing up your thigh to grab at the side of your bikini bottoms. They were the type that tied at the side, and you had never be so relieved for buying an easy to remove swimsuit as you were right then. Jongdae seemed just as pleased, eager fingers playing with the ties and a grin taking over his face when he finally got them undone. The other side was untied before you knew it and within seconds Jongdae had tugged the fabric off, leaving you heated and panting.
“You’re so pretty, Kitten.” Having him stare at you so unabashedly made you shy, but the tone in his words was helping you feel more comfortable. “Had I known this is what I was missing out on when we first met, I would’ve done this a long time ago.”
You were going to make some sarcastic remark about how you would’ve punched him if he had tried this at any point before today, but your words caught in your throat when you felt Jongdae’s heavy breathing against your sensitive skin. There was one moment of pure silence, leaving you shaking while you waited for him to do anything, before he snapped, tongue flicking against your folds, leaving you speechless.
A groan escaped his lips before he was diving for more, hands pushing your thighs apart when you tried to close them. There was zero hesitation in his actions, tongue working over you roughly while his hands gripped you tightly. It was as if in that moment he wanted nothing more than to please you. It was as if all of the time he had waited meant nothing as long as he brought you to the highest point of pleasure.
Your arm was shaking as you propped yourself up on your elbow, your free hand snaking down to grip Jongdae’s hair. He moaned into you as you tangled your fingers through the blonde strands and tugged, pulling him impossibly close to you. You didn’t think Jongdae could be more passionate with his touches, but the slight pain tingling at his scalp had him growing more desperate.
One of his hands left the inside of your thigh to rest across your lower stomach, preventing you from pushing upward, while the other hand joined his mouth. You whined as his finger teased against you, gathering your wetness before slowly pushing into you. The single one wasn’t enough and you whimpered, ready to beg Jongdae if it meant finally getting to come.
“Please, Jongdae,” you pleaded, hearing Jongdae groan at the sound of his name tumbling from your lips.
A second finger teased at your entrance before pressing into you slowly, making you let out a sigh of relief at the added feeling. Jongdae lifted his head to watch you, eyes focused on your disheveled appearance. A rush of pride took over his body, making him curl his fingers while he gaped at your reaction.
“So wet, Kitten, all for me.” You nodded eagerly, as there was no denying it. Had you known how good Jongdae could have made you felt, with just his mouth and fingers no less, you would’ve confessed to him much earlier than you did.
It didn’t take long for you to feel the sensation creeping up, your thighs shaking around Jongdae’s head, fingers digging into his hair harder, and cries falling from your mouth as he brought you closer to the edge. With a third finger pressing against you, and Jongdae’s tongue circling your clit, you leaned back with a gasp. Your eyes clenched shut, back arching off the pool edge and toes curling as you came.
“Good job Kitten, let it all out for me,” Jongdae cooed, prompting you to let out one last whimper as he worked you through your orgasm. His fingers didn’t let up until you were shaking in overstimulation, pushing him away with your last bits of energy. Finally, he relented, and swam back a couple inches.
You caught your breath for a moment as you came down from your high, Jongdae murmuring sweet words to you as he caressed your legs. It took a couple minutes before you were able to push yourself up, looking down at Jongdae. He was looking up at you with a smile, lips curled at the end and glistening from his previous actions. His hair had been pushed in a million directions but he seemed completely unbothered, wiping off his lips before grinning stupidly.
“You good?” he asked, and you nodded, letting out a light laugh.
“I-I think so.”
He seemed extremely pleased with your response, glad he was able to put you into such a state of speechlessness.
You stood up shakily and grabbed your towel from nearby to wrap around your waist as Jongdae got out of the pool, the both of you drying off in near silence. You quickly picked up your bikini bottoms, and scoffed upon seeing Jongdae had torn the ties on one side.
“What’s wrong?” He asked upon seeing your displeased expression.
You held up the tattered fabric, raising your eyebrows at him. “Are you going to ruin all my swimsuits?”
Jongdae chuckled, shrugging. “If it means getting you naked, then yes.”
You rolled your eyes. “I have to buy another one now!”
Jongdae shook his head as he walked over to you, hands grabbing your waist to pull you close to him. “I’ll give you your red one back,” he promised, giving you a quick kiss.
You kissed him back before pulling back and looking up at him suspectedly. “Does that mean the deal is off?”
Jongdae nodded almost immediately. “You bet, Kitten. There’s no way I’m telling anyone you skinny dip, that’s for my eyes only. And I’m sure you won’t be firing me anytime soon, am I right?”
“I don’t know about that,” you teased, laughing when Jongdae pouted. “Fine, you can keep your job, but you need to come visit me more often than that too.”
Jongdae scoffed as if that were the most obvious thing in the world. “Oh trust me, you won’t be getting rid of me anytime soon.”
You playfully groaned, but on the inside you were jumping for joy. It was odd, how just a month ago, had you heard those words you would’ve wanted to die, but now they brought you so much happiness. He brought you so much happiness.
You kissed him again, smiling against his lips. It was all the perfect moment until a slight breeze brushed past you, and you shivered. The thin towel wrapped around your waist wasn’t doing much for your exposed lower half, and your bra piece was still wet and growing cold by the minute.
“I need to take a shower,” you mumbled into the kiss, and Jongdae hummed in acknowledgment. “Do you want to join me?” You knew he hadn’t brought any spare clothes, and it would give him the opportunity to let his shorts dry off. Of course, you also wanted to thank him for earlier, and Jongdae seemed to understand your intentions, since he nodded eagerly.
Unfortunately, the second you got into the shower, Jongdae’s hands were all over you once again, so you weren’t able to show him exactly how thankful you were for earlier, but you were sure he got the gist of it.
And you knew you would have many opportunities in the future to pay him back. Worrying about only being a one-time thing to him wasn’t a fear of yours anymore, and you were sure it never would be.
You wouldn’t be getting rid of Jongdae for a very long time, and for the first time in forever, that thought made you smile.

CLUB ıFinaleı
Genre: AU. Adult. Pairing: Do Kyung Soo x OC Plot: Moon Soo goes to EXO Club (aka EXO Strip club) one day, and falls under the spell of one dancer, D.O.
Notes: i’m so sorry for the late update, but life got in the way. I went on vacation, and then SM Town happened (yes, I had Kyung Soo right in front of me). But here I am. I want to thank you all for the support, the comments and the love. Enjoy the last chapter. Remember to listen to the playlist! BTW, the song he dances is CBX’s Thursday.
Chapter 5.
Moon Soo went to pick up Kyung Soo at the coffee shop where he worked after her shift. She arrived a bit early, so she walked around the neighborhood checking the store’s window displays. She wished she could find something for Kyung Soo, a present to commemorate his new job. She walked for a while until she found him a black apron at a specialized store. She still had some minutes to kill, so she went to Kyong Soo’s coffee to wait for him. He was preparing something in the machine very focused, so he didn’t see her when she walked into the store and ordered. The girl at the register told him what she ordered and gave him a cup with her name on it.
He came back to the sophisticated coffee machine, Moon Soo still unnoticed. After a couple of minutes of explosives noises and steam, he was done with her coffee “Moon Soo?” He called, not looking ahead “Here! Thank you D.O” She said playfully, grabbing her cup. He looked up startled “Moon Soo, you are early”
“I know, I will wait for you over there” She pointed at a comfy couch at the back of the shop “Ok, I’ll be done in 15 minutes” In the 15 minutes that passed, at least 10 costumers arrived, and Kyung Soo prepared the 10 coffees quickly.
He appeared with his street clothes after his shift ended with a middle-age woman behind him “We will miss you Kyung Soo, take care ok”
“Yes ma’am, thank you for everything” He bowed at her and gave Moon Soo a signal to come with him. He offered his hand and Moon Soo grabbed it, walking outside the coffee shop. When they were outside, he turned around facing the glass walls “I quit this job today”
“You did? Why?”
“I need to focus on cooking, and they pay me more at the restaurant now, so I can survive without the coffee money”
“Congratulations Kyung Soo” He looked at her puzzled “You are taking a new step, and that takes braveness and it needs to be congratulated”
“Thank you”
“So now you only have the job at the restaurant, the karaoke and the club”
“Yes”
“Still sounds like a lot”
“Yeah, in the future I will probably quit at the karaoke place” She was kind of relieved “Not the club uh?”
“Oh no, I love it there” He started walking with her, swinging their joined hands “Good for you, good for us, good for everybody”
“You don’t want me to quit the club?”
“Of course is your decision, but no, not only because you are amazing but also because I know you like it, you love it, you like the rush it gives you, you love to dance, you love your friends there, so why quit when you don’t have too, at least not yet” He stopped on his tracks again, grabbing her other hand, making her face him “Again, you get it”
“I get it”
Working with kids was always her favorite part of the job. They were very brave. But also, they always came with parents, and parents were terrible.
A birthday party went wrong when the kids got food poisoned with the chicken. Now the ER was populated by 10 kids, with their respective mothers and fathers. Her head was killing her, so she needed a break. One of her colleagues took her position and she went for some needed 30 minutes of rest. She still had the night ahead. She checked her phone and found two missed calls from Kyung Soo and a message telling her to call him as soon as possible. She got really worried, she wished she had his number on speed dial so she could call him faster. He picked up after the 2nd ring “Kyung Soo, did something happen?”
“Yeah, I got kicked out from my apartment” He sounded so sad and worried, she wanted to run to him and console him “Why?”
“My landlord found out about my job, she said a lot of things regarding my morals and stuff and kicked me out, she even gave me back my deposit” She was fuming all of the sudden “That bitch!” A nurse that was passing by jolted at her cursing, she bowed at her apologetically “And where are you know? What are you going to do?” He cleaned his throat a bit nervous “I was thinking, May I stay at your apartment until I find a new place? I could stay with one of the guys, but the possibility terrifies me” She sat down at a bench relieved, she was thinking on proposing that, but she was worried Kyung Soo wouldn’t like the idea “I’m glad we were thinking the same, I’m not going to be there until tomorrow morning, but make yourself at home, ok?”
“Thank you, Sehun and the other guys are helping me with my things, you don’t mind them at your house?”
“Of course not, are you going to need my car?”
“No, I have that covered”
“Ok, see you tomorrow then” He took a deep breath and his voice sounded so much calmer when he said “Moon Soo, Thank you”
“I’m glad I could help you”
She normally left work an hour after the end of her shift, there were always things to do, information to give to her colleagues. This time she dashed out the door as soon as the clock marked 8 o’clock.
She picked up breakfast on her way and went home. Kyung Soo was just getting dressed when she arrived.
His energy was very low. His eyes looked tired, and his voice sounded different. Even the way he walked was slower than usual. She wouldn’t say he was sad, he looked disappointed. She gave him a tight hug and brought him to the kitchen so they could eat “She was so disrespectful, she kept talking at me like someone inferior, and saying things like I can’t imagine what can of life you live, you deceive me and I just stopped listening at some point, I couldn’t answer either, I was in shock and she wouldn’t stop talking, it was so frustrating, and I was terrified, I didn’t know what to do, then she left and threatened with calling the cops If I didn’t leave by today” The more he spoke, the sadder his voice got. Moon Soo kept caressing his back, and with every sentence, she felt more and more disgust up her throat. She was a doctor, yes, and her duty was to save lives, yes, but she was ready to take one life just now “Who she thinks she is?! That amount of disrespect!” Kyung Soo only shrugged “You aren’t hurting anyone with your job, unless you consider sexual frustration a bad thing, but besides that your job is as normal as any other job” Kyung Soo brought his left hand to her thigh, trying to calm her down “Moon Soo?”
“What?!” She shouted unintentionally, but Kyung Soo only chuckled at her tone “Thank you for getting mad, it takes away a lot of frustration when you get mad for me and support me”
“Well…yeah, but…I mean it’s obvious!”
“Yeah, but not everybody is as open-minded as you, especially a fifty-something woman” Now he was comforting her “I guess, but still! kicking out a young, gorgeous, well-behaved man!”
“She thought I was a prostitute” She felt her eyes growing and the anger boiling inside, she took a couple of deep breaths so she wouldn’t break something “What?! Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but the amount of prejudice!” By now Kyung Soo was amused by her anger, he was grinning meanwhile she felt her eyebrows atrophied into an angry position “Let’s change the subject, you are getting way too work out” He moved his hand from her leg to her back, and slid his other arm over her stomach, engulfing her into a hug. She laid her head against his chest and she felt him dropping a kiss on her head. She started feeling sleepy, feeling calmer with Kyung Soo’s touch and smell. She felt how her body went numb “I think we need to get you to bed”
“Sure roommate” She answered getting up, Kyung Soo followed her close “Are you working tomorrow?”
“No, I got a free day because is my birthday”
“It’s your birthday?!” She took her clothes off and put on her pajama, resting importance to the matter, Kyung Soo was still surprised by the news following her around the bedroom “Why didn’t you tell me?” She got inside her bed, arranging her pillows “I don’t know, is there ever a good timing to say when is your birthday? you ask those things, which reminds me, when is yours?”
“January 12”
“Noted,” She said, tapping the side of her head with one finger. Her eyes were closing. He told her something, but she couldn’t grasp what.
Moon Soo’s birthday tradition was to stay in her pajamas all morning and answer all the calls from family and friends. Then she would go have lunch by herself to some nice restaurant, then buy herself a gift, and then drinks with her friends.
But this year there were some changes.
She woke up early because Kyung Soo had to be at the restaurant at 8 a.m. She stayed in bed as he got ready. He gave her a good morning kiss, a good birthday hug and another kiss “You have plans for lunch? Let me invite you, I have rehearsal at the club, I’ll be done by 2 ”
“Sure, my pleasure”
“And also, Do you have plans this night?”
“Yeah, my friends and I are going for drinks, Wanna come?”
“I can’t, is Friday, but come home as soon as you are done ok?, and don’t get too drunk, you are going to need all your senses for what I have planned” He wiggled his eyebrows playfully and Moon Soo was stunned “Jesus, what did you plan?”
“It’s a secret”
“Kyung Soo! Tell me! I will have to wait until tonight?!”
“Maybe midnight” He winked at her and run outside her bedroom.
She stared at the door of her room for a long time. She mostly cursed at him inside her head. The curiosity was killing her and he just left like that. She didn’t like to wait.
To distract herself she got up and took a bath.
She used a bath bomb, exfoliated and shaved. Whatever surprise Kyung Soo prepared for her it most definitely involved sex, so she wanted to be ready.
As always, her morning consisted of answering birthday phone calls. She had breakfast and then spend a bit more than an hour choosing what to wear on her birthday date.
The day was really nice, the sun was up, and it wasn’t very cold. She drove listening to music, finding everything on her way prettier than other days.
She arrived at the club earlier than she expected, so she parked in front to wait for Kyung Soo.
She was focused on her phone, so she didn’t see the three guys approaching her car.
Someone knocked at her window and she looked expecting to see Kyung Soo. Her disappointment changed to surprise when she realized who was knocking. She recognized them immediately. It was Kai, Xiumin and Baekhyun.
She didn’t like this position at all. She was seated in her car so of course she was lower, and these three guys were looking at her from above, like some kind of 21st-century Greek goods. She wasn’t afraid to recognize that she was quite intimidated.
But then she remembered that she saw two of them in underwear, and she wasn’t intimidated anymore. It was kind of amusing. Instead of rolling down her window, she decided to go out of her car. The guys took a step back and as soon as she was out, they crossed their arms over their chests, at the same time, which was very comical “Are you Kyung Soo’s sugar mommy?” Asked Baekhyun “Did he called me that?”
“Yes, I mean no, but when we called you that he didn’t correct us, he only smiled at us and then left”
“I can see him doing that, then I guess I…” Kai coughed, a fake one, of course, interrupting her “What are your intentions with Kyung Soo?” His two friends jolted in surprise, but regain composure quickly “My intentions?” The three of them nodded once, at the same time. They were waiting for an answer, and she wanted to answer them. She gave herself a couple of seconds to think about her rejoinder, it wasn’t very hard “My intentions with Kyung Soo are…supporting him in what he does, but also try to take some burdens from his back, take care of him in everything I can and provide him with everything he could need” Once she was done, she took a big puff of air and saw how their faces softened. They remained silent, looking at each other “What? What happened with the men of some minutes ago?”
“Yeah, what happened?” Kyung Soo asked, behind Kai. He cursed, turning around, finding Kyung Soo with a severe look on his eyes, but she was sure it was just his normal stare. Moon Soo could swear she saw fear in the face of his friends.
Kyung Soo walked pass his friends and stood next to Moon Soo “Leave her alone, you already got your answer” His voice was far from annoyed. He was sweet. He was explaining to his son’s that dad was okay, or something like that “We were just worried about you” Said Baekhyun, looking at the floor moving his foot nervously “And I appreciate it, but you already heard and saw that she has good intentions”
“And are you guys like…dating?” Baekhyun demeanor changed from embarrassed to high school girl ready to gossip “We haven’t talked about that yet” He answered, his voice severe “Well, you do realize that you are both holding hands, right?” They both looked at their hands and in fact, Kyung Soo at some point had interlocked his fingers with hers, or maybe she did, the fact was that she hadn’t registered that “Well…sure, anyway, the point is that this is none of your business, Moon Soo and I have a date now, so if you excuse us” He released her hand to push his friends away from them. She opened her door and before she got inside, she waved at them and this time the three of them answered back smiling. Kyung Soo walked around the car and they both got inside the car. Before leaving, Moon Soo pulled down her window and shout at them “I forgot to tell you guys that I am a huge fan of your work!”
“Thank you!” The three of them shouted at the same time, Kai bowing and the rest waving profusely.
The rest of the afternoon passed by very quickly. Lunch with Kyung Soo was very fulfilling. Not only food-wise.
He accompanied her to buy herself a gift. She got a new sound system for her house and bought Kyung Soo a new set of fancy headphones since his were about to die. She insisted on buying him a pink set with cat ears, but he only gave her a dead stare and she grabbed a set of very low-key black headphones.
She went back to her place to take a quick nap and change her outfit. She left Kyung Soo at the subway station and before he went off the car, he reminded her about his surprise “Have a good time with your friends, but remember not to get too drunk and be ready for my surprise”
“I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that damn surprise”
“It will be damn, yeah” And he went out of the car.
The friends gathering was great. Her friends invite her to a famous bar, the food never stopped coming, and her glass was always full. She did control herself with the booze. Her friends not too much. But it made her happy to see that they were having a good time.
The clock was about to hit midnight when she excused herself from the table. Some of them made a big deal about her leaving, but they were too drunk to insist.
She took a cab back to her place, and as soon as she got in, she wrote to Kyung Soo that she was on her way.
- Great, everything is ready here, don’t use your keys, knock the door –
He answered. She asked the driver to take the fastest route to her place. And he did. So, she paid him more than necessary. She followed Kyung Soo’s instructions. She knocked at her own door, and when she lifted her hand to do so, she realized how nervous she was. Her hand was shaking, and her heart bit was out of control. She knocked twice and she felt him on the other side of the door. The click of the door opening almost made her hyperventilate. “Welcome,” Said Kyung Soo when she walked in. She couldn’t answer, she was appreciating him. He was wearing a tight black t-shirt and equally tight black pants. Once her shoes were off, he grabbed her hand and walked her inside the house. Kyung Soo’s hands were a little bit sweaty, he was nervous, she could tell. He didn’t speak. He only walked ahead of her, until they reached her living room. The lights were dimmed, he had lit some candles and he had made some arrangements in the place. In the center of the room, instead of her modern coffee table, there was a chair “What is this?” She asked, her voice a whisper. She looked in his direction, and Kyung Soo’s outfit now had a new addition. A black cap. The image immediately came to her head. That was the outfit he was wearing the first time she saw him perform “Sit down Moon Soo, I’m going to give you a lap dance” Her world stopped for a long second. And she wasn’t exaggerating.
She wanted to say something. Anything. But the shock was massive, and she couldn’t quite explain how she felt in words. A high pitch scream could be more honest. But Kyung Soo understood it apparently. He chuckled, grabbed her hand and walked her to the chair “I honestly don’t know how to do this, I’m kind of nervous” She squeezed his hand, and made a huge effort to speak out “Don’t worry, you are going to be alright” She could have told him that he didn’t need to do it if he wasn’t comfortable, but she wasn’t a saint, she wasn’t that stupid “I’m just going to copy what my friends do, also, I may have had a couple of drinks, I don’t know why this makes me so nervous, I take my clothes off in front of hundred people! One lap dance can't be that much worst” He was clearly nervous, he stuttered a couple of times, and he was unable to look at her, also, there was this adorable redness on his cheeks, could be the drinks, but most definitely was the embarrassment the entire situation cause him. Instead of saying anything, Moon Soo pulled him into a kiss.
She kissed him slowly, pillowing his lips, caressing his cheeks, nape, shoulders, trying to convey her calm to him, showing him that he was safe with her. This was just between the two of them.
When she parted, Kyung Soo was smiling. His shoulders weren’t stiff anymore, his eyes were less serious, but the redness of his cheeks was still there, and she liked it there “I think I’m ok now”
“Trust me”
“I do” He moved away, and signaled her to sit at the chair. She obeyed, a wide smile on her lips. He moved away, and she grew anxious. She wanted to have him close “I’m going to prepare the music”
“Are we really doing this?”
“Of course, is your birthday gift” He grabbed his phone and walked to her new music system. It took him half a minute to have everything ready, of course, it felt like longer.
The room went silent. She couldn’t even hear her own breathing, mostly because she wasn’t breathing. Kyung Soo walked to her, putting his black cap on “You recognize this outfit?” Of course she did, but she couldn’t say so, she only nodded energetically. He stood in front of her, touching her knees with his body. He bend down, his lips close to her hear “You can’t touch me Moon soo, got it?”
“Really?! I thought I was getting special treatment!” Her voice found a way out, for obvious reasons. This was outrageous. Though Kyung Soo was very amused by it “No, no touching”
“You are bad Do Kyung Soo”
“The worst” He grinned at her, she couldn’t see his eyes because of the lighting and the cap, but she could imagine how dark and dangerous they looked “Are you going to touch me?” She asked hopefully “Of course”
“Ok, good enough” At least she was going to feel him. He moved his attention to his phone, pressed the screen and the music filled the room.
I like that feeling, right before it’s about to get ripe
This distance of just about to touch but not
I don’t think you’re getting any closer
But I like you even more
In this space that’s so perfect
The bit was slow and mellow, the rhythm made her body react. He wasn’t even moving, and she had to hold the chair to keep her hands in line. Kyung Soo walked around her chair, slow, caressing her chest, shoulders, and back on his way. He stood behind her, his hands heavy on her shoulders. He slid them down her arms to her hands. He rested his chin on her shoulder and dropped a kiss on her ear. She closed her eyes, moaning, and she heard his chuckle. Cocky bastard.
I’m tilting myself to you
My balance keeps crumbling
I held it in, I pressed it down so well
But now my heart is spilling out
My heart has passed the afternoon
And now is going toward midnight
Story will be starting tonight, yeah
You’ll be mine
Oh, you’ll be mine
When the song reached its chorus, Kyung Soo moved to the front, passing a leg above hers, capturing her between his body and the chair. His hips started rotating, his hands caressing his chest until they reached his hips. He gave a soft thrust and started rolling his body against her, he wasn’t touching her, but she could feel his heat. She wanted to feel him against her bare skin. It was maddening. But she refused to move. She was going to be obedient. Instead, she bit her lip hard.
It’s a night that’s slightly too early to have hearts fluttering
We’ve been stopped and we need a little something different
We’re about to take a step
That’ll be hard to take back once the night is over
When tomorrow’s sun rises
I’m going to slightly pull on us
Her heart was clenched like a fist. She never even dared to dream about this. Kyung Soo was a stoic man, and his word was definitive. He said no lap dances, so no lap dances. Also, she wasn’t fetishizing him as a stripper. He was her lover who happened to be a stripper, but that didn’t define him.
But Kyung Soo was also a man full of surprises. And now he was dancing for her. And her poor, horny heart was having trouble taking all in. And it got worse when he grabbed the hem of his tight shirt and pulled it up, taking it off without further a due. She yelped in surprise, and that cocky grin appeared again.
I’m tilting myself to you
My balance keeps crumbling
I held it in, I pressed it down so well
But now my heart is spilling out
My heart has passed the afternoon
And now is going toward midnight
Story will be starting tonight, yeah
He grabbed her right hand causing her to jump on her seat. He brought her hand to his lips and kissed her palm, looking straight into her eyes. Her heart clenched harder.
He didn’t release her hand, instead grabbed her wrist with his other hand, and moved it to his chest. She groaned in relief. His skin was hot and incredibly soft. His grip was still strong, he was allowing her to touch him, but he was in control. He kept moving her hand down his chest, till he reached his abdomen. He stopped there for a while. His stomach moved up and down quickly because of his heavy breathing. He was affected too, not as affected as she was, but the excitement was mutual. He kept holding her hand against his stomach, Moon Soo looked up at him and he was staring back at her, his bottom lip between his teeth “Keep moving it down, please Kyung Soo” She begged, “You want to touch me?” His low voice went straight to her core “Yes, please keep moving it down”
You’ll be mine (All the time)
All the time
He grinned at her and slowly slid their hands down over his belt and then right on top of his zipper. She moaned when she felt him, big and hard under her palm. She moved on her seat uncomfortably. Her thighs opened and closed, rubbing against each other. She kept grabbing her t-shirt with her other hand, she just didn’t know what to do with herself “What do you want now? You want me to keep dancing for you, or you want me to fuck you?” She couldn’t answer immediately, and Kyung Soo was amused by how the two option were battling inside her head “I…I don’t know” He laughed, such an adorable laugh compared with this sinful situation “I’m so turn on and I really want you to fuck me, but also I’m loving seeing you dance this close”
“Then is pretty clear, I’m finishing this dance, and then we are fucking in this chair” She agreed, with a small voice.
I’m going to slightly pull on us
I’m tilting myself to you
My balance keeps crumbling
I held it in, I pressed it down so well
He moved away from her suddenly, getting on his knees, pulling her legs open. He grabbed her waist and rubbed his body against her middle, moving up until they were face to face. He was breathing heavily, and his breath fanning her face felt suffocating. He got up, closed her legs, turned around and straddled her lap, giving her his back. He dropped his body to the front, resting his weight on his hands, and started rubbing his still clothed and very hard dick against her. She had a close look at his perfectly formed ass, and her hands were itching to touch him, but they were trapped with his legs. He kept moving his body, rolling his hips, rubbing himself against her.
But now my heart is spilling out, after the long is over
Your name rises in my heart as the sun
Story will be written on your heart
You’ll be mine
He moved up, resting his back against her chest, she brought her lips to his skin, hot and slightly wet. She dropped a kiss on his shoulder blade, tentatively, and heard him sight in content. He reached back to hold her hands and brought them to his chest. He moved them up and down a couple of times, slowly, to please himself, and to torture her probably. She was losing it, and biting his shoulder looked like a good way to release some tension, but before she could do it, he was gone. He stood up suddenly, re-arranged his pants and turned around, grinning “Are you okay?” He asked, with a tiny bit of mock in his voice. Not enough to annoy her, but enough to make her want to erase that grin with a filthy kiss “Very, please keep dancing” She answered, more like begged. Kyung Soo walked behind her and moved her hair to one side, so he could have clean access to her neck. She shivered violently when he dropped a light kiss on his shoulder and then whispered against her ear “I love how open you are” Immediately she looked down at her legs. Her thighs were closed tight, trying to control the urgency of her crotch “No, not that silly, I mean you, you always say how you feel, you are an open book, most of the time” He bit her earlobe playfully, and she was so grateful that he was doing this under his own rules and he was touching her, otherwise she would have gone insane by now. She was on the verge. And Kyung Soo with his furtive touch fueled that insanity but tamed down the fire burning all over her body. Suddenly she felt very selfish. She knew Kyung Soo didn’t do lap dances, but he better didn’t start now. She wasn’t going to share this with anyone. She was ok, more than ok, with him dancing, but this, this amount of teasing, sensuality, and confidence had to remain just to herself. This was her Kyung Soo acting like D.O only for her.
Her Kyung Soo.
Was he hers?
Kyung Soo stopped whatever line of thought she was entering when he moved to her front and pulled off his pants. With no warning. Not teasing hip movement or fondling. Just pulled. The sound of the Velcro resounded on her ears, and the view of his naked legs and tight briefs knocked the air out of her lungs. She was so used to that view, whenever they had sex, when he got ready to leave to work, when he walked around her kitchen preparing something. It was so common, but in this context, it looked new.
He took one, two and three short steps back. Very slowly. Like a feline. He sat down on his knees, breathing heavily, resting his hands on his thighs, his stare fixed on her. She could see his hard-on, the faint shine of his sweat on his chest and forehead, and the darkness of his eyes. She wasn’t the only one enjoying this. It was clear. Kyung Soo was getting a kick from feeling this wanted, from having this control. And she was going to show him how she was enjoying it too. As soon as the show was over, she was going to find permanent residence between his legs. She was going to suck the hell out of that hard-on. She moved her eyes back to his. The music was over. There was silence, only their breathings were audible. Quite loudly.
Kyung Soo licked his lips a couple of times and run his hand over his face. He reached ahead and grabbed her chair, pulling it to him, capturing her again between his body and the chair. His naked chest felt hot trough the fabric of her pants, she wanted to open her legs wider, so she could feel him closer where her body was burning the most “What do you want?” He asked, his hands caressing her thighs “I want to touch you, I want to suck you off”
“Do it then”
“Really?” He didn’t answer, he got up and gestured her to pull down his underwear “Go ahead Moon Soo, I know you are great at it” With firm hands, she grabbed his black briefs and pulled them down in one go. She moved her face closer to him, thirsty.
She didn’t go for teasing licks or any kind of foreplay, she knew he liked to be touched, his abdomen, groin, and thighs. But this time she would have to skip all that, for her own sake. She immediately attached her mouth to the tip of his dick, sucking hard. Both moaned at the same time. His hands went to her head, holding her hair softly. She moved her hands to his thighs, but stopped halfway, Kyung Soo said no touching, at least not without his permission “Go ahead, you can touch me now” And she did.
She held on to his thighs for dear life. Moon Soo set to first tease playfully, licking his hard cock a few times before swallowing it whole. His breath hitched before he let out a long growl, rolling his hips to slide deeper on to Moon Soo’s mouth. The sounds he made and his fingers pulling her head spurred her more. She hollowed her cheeks, sucking harder, bobbing her head faster. Kyung Soo didn’t know what to do with himself “Moon Soo, stop! I’m going to come” She released him with a loud pop “Do it, come, do it in my mouth” She urged him, drooling, all shame she could feel was long gone “No, I’m going to fuck you, I need to be inside you”
“Kyung Soo, you are driving me crazy”
“Come here” He pulled her up by her arms and made her stand in front of him. Quickly, he removed her clothes and underwear and finished by taking off his last piece of clothing. He pulled her body close to his, hands moving from her arm to his nape, and Moon Soo felt how the hairs of her arms stood on its end. She pulled him closer by the waist, feeling his hard cock against her stomach. Moon Soo closed her eyes briefly when Kyung Soo’s hot breath touched her skin, trying to calm herself down. He stroked her nape and leaned in more and more until their lips met. Moon Soo gave him easy access for his tongue to explore. She took his kiss greedily, sucking his upper lip, biting his lower lip, feeling his teeth capturing her lower lip as their hands roamed each other bodies. Both of them were panting heavily after resurfacing from the kiss.
He grabbed her face firmly but kept caressing her cheeks tenderly. Quickly, he changed positions with her and sat at the chair, bringing her with him, making her sit on his lap “Ride me”
“Here?” He nodded, his eyes dark with lust “Here, come on, ride me” He framed her face as she leaned in to kiss him, arranging her body on top of him, moving her chest closer to his, sitting on his thick thighs comfortably. Her hands carded through Kyung Soo’s hair and her tongue ran along his lower lip before slipping inside Kyung Soo’s mouth. She could still taste the alcohol he drank to gain confidence, there was a sweetness also, or she could just idealizing the kiss. He pulled back and his hands slid down her neck to her chest, moving around her torso, his eyes following their path appreciatively. His lips found purchase on a patch of skin between her breast, and he sucked gently before grazing his teeth along the same patch.
Moon Soo gasped loudly, fisting her hands in Kyung Soo’s dark hair painfully. Although he didn’t complain. His hands slid down Moon Soo’s chest to rest on her hips, trying to pull her closer, closer than she already was. It seemed impossible to her. She was already able to feel the heat coming from his skin, if she allowed herself to exaggerate a little bit, she felt the beat of her heart against her own chest. But Kyung Soo needed her closer, and there was one way to fulfill his wishes. She stood up, amused by Kyung Soo angry exhale, which sounded almost like a snarl “We need a condom, I’ll be back” Before she could leave, Kyung Soo grabbed her wrist, pulling her back to him “No need to go far, there’s one on my pants” She looked down to the floor, and Kyung Soo’s pants were resting next to her right foot, torn apart, but still useful. She fetched the piece of foil that peeked from inside one of his pockets and incorporate back on to his lap. Kyung Soo rested his hands on her knees as she was putting his condom on, focused on her task. He kept his eyes closed, his lower lip tightly captured between his teeth, he was very sensitive apparently. He reached for her face and catch her lower lip between his teeth. Moon Soo grunted at the pain and moved closer to him, so he could have his much-needed skinship. Kyung Soo dragged his lips up her jaw to her ear and nipped her earlobe, she felt her body melt on his lap. His hands grabbed her thighs, gave them a couple of squeezes and then moved back to her bottom to pull her closer to his dick. She felt him hard against her inner thigh. She moaned, involuntarily, and Kyung Soo grinned as she threw her arms around his neck, trying to calm her whimpers by kissing him. Kyung Soo bucked his hips up, looking for some friction, and trying to get more moans out of her, which was quite an easy job “Fuck me already Kyung Soo, I’m desperate”
“You are on top, help yourself” She cursed at him for always being a sexy asshole in this kind of situations. He ran his hands up Moon Soo’s sides as she grabbed him and helped herself. Kyung Soo’s frame shivered and soon they were pressed together skin to skin “You are so wet, is this because of my lap dance?” She only nodded, focused on finding a good rhythm with the movement of her hips “So do I get a nice tip?” Moon Soo couldn’t stop her giggles “This is your tip” She said, biting his earlobe. Kyung Soo let his mouth wander down her chest, stopping to tease her nipples with his teeth. He sucked the area gently and then bit down as he bucked his hips, the chair squeaking against the floor. Moon Soo was pleased to see the dark shade of pink on his cheeks when she pulled apart to get a bit of air in her lungs. She ran her hands up Kyung Soo’s chest, enjoying the feel of his soft skin and the warmth of it. She loved how solid he felt under her hands. She scraped her nails down his chest lightly, engraving in her head the sounds his mouth made. Moon Soo never stopped moving her hips, the more Kyung Soo moaned or grunted, the faster her hips moved, looking for relief. Kyung Soo grunted again, squeezing her hips hard “Go slow please, or I’m not going to be able to hold it”
“So what?”
“I want to make this last, is that too bad?” He finished with a deep moan when Moon Soo snapped her hips again. Her pace went slow, Kyung Soo was never one to have a quickie, and she quite liked that, so she complied with his request. She rocked her hips forward, feeling every inch of Kyung Soo as he also moved his hips, meeting her halfway. He ran both hands up Moon Soo’s back and made her yelp in surprise when he suddenly pulled her to him, capturing her lips in a wet sloppy kiss, his hands resting heavily on her shoulder blades. Moon Soo wanted to move her hips fast and strong, but she contained herself. She was an obedient lover.
Kyung Soo’s kiss had her moaning nonstop, every breath ended in a moan. And she couldn’t avoid pinching his nipple in reprimand when she felt him smile against her lips. His victory was short-lived as Moon Soo decided to speed things up, moving her chest away from his, resting her hands on his knees, exposing herself to him. Kyung Soo moaned at the view, his eyes moving slowly from her face to her chest and then where both were connected. He thrust in, hard and repeatedly. Moon Soo felt her hands grabbing into his knees as claws so she wouldn’t fall back. Kyung Soo moved one of his hands to her lower back and the other to her clit, rubbing circles with his strong fingers. She felt herself clench harder around him “Fuck Kyung Soo!” She cursed involuntarily, and the sound of his chuckle irritated her just a tiny bit “I changed my mind, come now, I wanna see it, I wanna see you” Both of their breaths were coming in pants. She moved, taking Kyung Soo out of her and took a couple of seconds to move back, having him inside again. Her entire body buzzed to that feeling, her muscles felt like cotton and when she closed her eyes she saw lights of all colors. For some reason, she felt more sensitive than other times. Maybe it was the position, or the alcohol from before, or the lap dance. Probably it was all of them combined. She was so close, but before, she wanted to make true a small fantasy of hers “Come on me Kyung Soo” He looked at her puzzled “I want your cum on me, here” She completed, pointing at her mound. He locked eyes with her, and she saw them grow dark. His lips formed a perfect smirk and he whispered a “My pleasure” Moon Soo got down to work, her hips rolling, kind of imitating his movements from before. And it was clear that he quite liked that “Touch yourself, I wanna see you” She obeyed immediately, she knew just what to do to get the release she and Kyung Soo needed. He looked at her hypnotized, his hips were bucking against her now, softly but decisively. One of those thrusts overflowed her. She came violently. Her core shaking, her moans loud, but not loud enough. She grabbed on to Kyung Soo’s knees stronger, but he didn’t complain, so she rode her pleasure to the end, letting its fire wash over her. Kyung Soo didn’t wait for one more second and reached down to take his condom off, tossing it to the side. He positioned himself and rubbed his erection a couple of times before his orgasm hit him strongly. His cum formed irregular patterns on her skin, and it felt hot and sinfully pleasurable. Kyung Soo kept pumping himself until she stopped him to do it by herself. His dick was growing soft, but it still felt heavy against her hand. She leaned forward, back to her place against Kyung Soo’s chest, and pressed open-mouthed kisses to his neck and shoulders, then finally crushed their mouths together in a bruising kiss. He grunted into her mouth as he circled his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly “So you really enjoyed the lap dance” He commented, his voice muffled by her skin “So much”
“Happy birthday…should I start doing it at the club?” She knew he was joking, but leaving things clear couldn’t hurt anybody “No, that’s only for me, got it?”
“Loud and clear ma’am” He nuzzled her neck, sucking enough to leave a couple of marks there “Am I gonna get this treatment too someday?” He asked, moving his head to the other side of her neck “You want me to give you a lap dance?”
“I would love too”
“Then wait for your birthday”
“Next year then” Moon Soo let it pass, she was confident enough to give him a lap dance. She wasn’t the best dancer, but she knew how to undulate her body and that was all it takes. But one thing that stayed with her during the rest of the night, meanwhile he carried her to her room, to fuck again, and then when he got with her in the tub, was how he so easily made plans for next year.
He was planning to stay around for a long time apparently.
And her chest vibrated with glee.
Bosses were betrayers. That’s for sure.
Hers knew she took her day off to celebrate her birthday. And that always implied a hangover, maybe a headache, or just the honest need of rest. But the bastard told her to go back to work at 8 am. An hour that was simply ridiculous.
Her alarm was set to ring at 6 am.
She went to bed at 3 am.
It wasn’t weariness what didn’t allow her to get up though. Well, that too, but she was used to functioning tired.
The reason for her grogginess was the professional cuddling that Kyung Soo was performing on her. Her body was cocooned by Kyung Soo’s with engineering perfection. His chin resting against her head, her back warmed by his chest, her butt like a puzzle piece fit against his dick and their legs were entangled, sharing warmth since their covers were lost somewhere. He was awake too, she felt the change in his breathing, And the hand that was resting against one of her boobs tightened its grip “You can’t get up?”
“No” He hummed behind her, rubbing his body against her “You shouldn’t…you really have to?”
“Yeah, I have to be at the hospital at 8 o’clock” He stayed silent for a couple of seconds, thinking about something. “Wanna come so you can have some energy” He proposed, his hand fondling her breast and moving down with a clear agenda “Will love to, but I don’t have time to have sex”
“No, no sex, I was thinking about getting you off”
“That I can do” He helped her turn on to her back, his right arm pillowing her head, his left hand already getting under her underwear. There was no time to be lost. His fingers massaged her with experience. They already knew what to do and how to get her moaning in a couple of minutes. Most of the time she kept her eyes closed in complete bliss. But when she opened them, she found him looking at her fondly. Of course, his eyes were dark, and he kept licking and biting his lips, but there was this spark of something in his eyes. As if this was more than just getting your lover off. He was caring about her. Or at least it felt like that, and she felt so…so…
Kyung Soo thought it was the right time to finger fuck her. And he was never wrong. He used his index and middle finger to get in and massage her, and her thumb remained stuck to her clit, pressing and rubbing. Her orgasm hit her quickly, and very strongly. She couldn’t open her eyes nor close her mouth. Her lower back lifted from the mattress, her hands grasping whatever was around them. Normally her body would go down after a minute, maybe two. But after her body was back to a relaxed position, with Kyung Soo’s hands roaming her, helping her to stay calm, her heartbeat remained strong and fast. The drumming on her ears was still loud and her limbs were numb. And then it happened.
Kyung Soo kissed her temple, tenderly, innocently. But her body amplified the feelings and emotions that this simple act caused on her.
She felt her heart explode. As exaggerated and repetitive as that could sound. It just exploded. And her blood was rushing all over her body. Dizziness, trembling, ragged breathing, partial loss of consciousness. She was feeling all that, and more.
She was hyperventilating. She sat up abruptly, a thing that didn’t help her current situation. She brought one of her hands to her chest and the other to her neck, checking her pulse. And it was not ok “What happened?” He asked her clearly worried. She didn’t dare to look at him “My heart rate, Jesus, look!” She grabbed his hand and put it on her chest. His eyes opened wide, a familiar expression that was one of her favorites. Her heart rate went up immediately “Are you sure you are ok?”
“Yeah, don’t worry…I just, it was a lot, I came and then I had this thought and then you kissed me and my heart just…it feels so weird still”
“What thought you had?” His voice was so low, and his eyes so serious. She knew her answer would dictate things from now on, and he knew that too “Uh?” Was the only thing she could form “Don’t act dumb, what thought you had?” He insisted “I don’t want to say it”
“Say it so I can say my thoughts too”
“I was just…I came to realize that I like you a lot” The hand he had against her chest move down to her waist and he moved his head closer to hers, half facing her “You have like me for a while now, That’s why we have been doing this for a long time” He kissed her shoulder snuggling closer to her “Is it more than that?” He asked with confidence “Yeah it is”
“Say it”
“I think I love you” He relaxed next to her. He looked so confident before her confession, but now it was clear he was alleviated “Well, on my side, I know I love you” There it was again the tachycardia “Why didn’t you say anything?” She asked him, flustered “I don’t think we were ready” His hand kept rubbing patterns against her body, and his eyes looked calm, which gave her some rest, although his confection still had her shook “And now we are? Ready I mean”
“Sure”
“Says who?”
“I say” He smiled at her and kissed her briefly. She giggled shyly. The shyest she had felt since she met him. Before she could kiss him too, she had to confess too “I love you Kyung Soo”
“Me too Moon Soo” She kissed him this time, but quickly he dominated the kiss, sinking his hands in her hair, trying to push her back to the bed, succeeding.
She called in sick.
And Kyung Soo skipped rehearsing.
The End

#JayDickWeek2017 Day 2: Confession Under Fire
Everyone is wondering how Dick and Jason got together.
How could they mess up so bad? The plan was simple. They will use the jet to get to the Watchtower, beat up the bad guys then get out. No talking with the other heroes. No distractions were available. And still they messed up. Instead of having a fight in the tower, they managed to get chased on the jets. So now they were avoiding everything that was thrown at them, try to stay far from the Earth's atmosphere so direct shots didn't get to land.
There was no back-up free. Everyone was busy with their own plans. They could keep the chase for a little longer, until things lighten up.
But things went wrong again. Someone got inside, then two then three more. They fought, breaking so many things inside. The main parts on the outside were hit and broken. Oxygen was running out. Wires everywhere. The control panel didn't work anymore. Red lights bathed them.
From their seats, they saw the outside. The galaxy was sure a big thing and how insignificant they were compared to other planets.
"Hey, Grayson?"
"I'm listening Jay." Dick replied kicking his feet on top of the broken panel.
"Since we are in this situation. I think it's the right time to tell you that I admire you." Jason commented imitating Dick's actions. His arms rested on the sides of the chair, while his head looked forward.
"Same here." He answered, looking at Jason with a smirk. "I wanted to ask you this long ago but I thought that I shouldn't. But, right now I don't even think I have a tomorrow for it so...I like you and all."
"Way to go Golden Boy." They laughed. "Yeah, I kind of like you too. Especially when you don't talk at all. It's nice, really."
"That's the nicest thing you've said to me today, thank you."
"So...do we kiss or what?"
"I got this."
Dick stood up, facing Jason. He stepped closer to Jay's right, leaning forward. He couldn't help himself but to laugh at what they were about to do. Slowly he kissed him, holding his left cheek. The kiss lasted a few seconds before they separated, to chuckle.
"This is probably the gayest thing Imma be saying today but, gee, your lips are so good." Jason expressed, blushing a bit, causing more soft laughter from his partner. Then they both laughed.
"Yep, gayest thing I've heard today."
Well, they were so far from Earth now. It looked like a tennis ball from the distance. Neither of them said it directly but they knew that it was the end for them. All because of a mission that didn't go as planned. They started to wonder how everyone else what doing, since communication collapsed.
They didn't say anything for a solid minute. Then Dick leaned to kiss Jason again. A few quick kisses on his lips then in the corner, slowly walking in front of him. Jason sat properly not sure what was happening but, boy, he couldn't resist it. One of Dick's knees rested right between his legs, while the kisses had started lowering to his jaw.
Knock. Knock.
Dick was forced to hold back to find out were the noise came from. From the window with many scratches, he could clearly see Hal Jordan. He grunted before walking towards the window. He wrote something on the window as some dusk and steam was there.
'What?'
Dick saw Hal laugh as some writing in green glowed from his ring.
'Am I interrupting something? I mean, I could rescue both of you later.'
'Just get us home. Not a word.'
'Yes, sir.'
"Oh my goodness Stephanie!" Barbara cried holding back her laughter. The others did laugh, well, only those who understood the last part. "We have kids here, you know?"
"I didn't tell them to listen tho'!" She excused herself, with a big grin in her face. "Plus, they are Dick and Jason! I'm sure it happened at some point."
"Dick would've told me if he did." Wally said as he chewed chips. "Plus, they've been together for only three months. Dick isn't that type of guy."
"Is it jealousy a sense?" Kate looked at him with a playful grin making him blush. Everybody else exploited in laugh.
"Like hell I am! He's my best friend." He mumbled grabbing another bag of chips fro himself. "And I have Artemis. I don't want him."
"Sure you don't babe." Artemis kissed him in the head. "Anyone to take another guess? Which doesn't involved any mature content?"
"We'll take a guess." Said Kate with Babs leaning against her.
After a long night patrol, Jason was walking in the empty streets. He was too busy to notice someone behind him. Next hing he knew was that he was tied to a chair and pretended he was doomed. He quickly noticed Arsenal, Roy Harper, and Starfire, Koriand'r, tied up too. Since they didn't move, he assume they were knocked unconscious.
"Look who decided to finally join us."
"I don't like crushing private parties." He rolled his eyes. He needed a way to free himself fast and keep his friends safe so they wouldn't harm them. "So, what's the deal? Do I owe you money?"
"Oh no. You owe me more than money. A whole company to be precise. If it wasn't for you, I would have gotten the deal of a lifetime!"
"You might not be able to see it but I'm silently laughing under my helmet."
"You think you are funny, but not today! Today I'll make you a deal. You'll get rid of my enemies and I'll give you your loved ones in exchange."
He went quiet. Now there was no way he could free them. Like, he didn't mind the killing but he wasn't sure what they will think of him after finding out he killed people for them.
"Why so quiet, Red Hood? Wasn't expecting that?"
"Of course I wasn't! I lost you went you said you couldn't kill your enemies so you needed me! What kind of thug are you? Even my dog could be better."
"So funny. But, will your friend Arsenal like a wake up bullet? Or Starfire? It's so hard to decide who should laugh with us tonight."
Now is when Jason started to try to free himself. However it didn't last long as guns were out pointing at him. It was suicide if he continues.
"I died once but a crowbar in the head by a clown. Satan will be disappointed if I go to hell with you as my killer."
Quiet. Jason needed to think fast.
"I'm so sorry to interrupt this little meeting of yours but, I can't let you kill my precious fugitive. So, what do you say if we all lower our guns and talk?" That voice was familiar to everyone in the room. And Jason didn't know if he was grateful or not for the new-comer. "Oh, come on! You know my name!"
Nightwing jumped from the pillars holding the ceiling above them. A smoke bomb was dropped and the bad guys knew it was done for them. The sound of heavy things falling, some breaking, gave Jason an idea of what was happening in there. Once the smoke curtain fully vanished, Nightwing was in the middle of the room with unconscious thugs around him. Some were shot by their own mates and some still growled in hurt.
"Oh my! What a mess I've made. Let me make it up to you." He turned to the leader, who held a gun pointing at him. "Put the gun down or else I'll be force to knock you out."
"No chance pretty boy."
"My pretty boy is still tied up, so you better make it fast." He challenged before dropping his weapons on the floor. The sound of it echoed in the room and the blast of a bullet broke it. First shot and missed. Nightwing avoided it easily. He moved closer as bullets flew by him, none close to hit him.
...
"Pretty boy." He called Jason, standing in front of him with a bright smile. He didn't say anything else while he untied him. "Got anything sharp?"
"My looks count?" Jason joked trying not to swear out loud.
"See, I could leave you here but I'm too nice. So better help or else..." Dick whispered something in Jason, with a playful smile.
"Fine. Left pocket." He replied turning away from the oldest.
Dick gave a triumphant smile then went to search the pocket. His left hand ran from Jason's knee to his thigh, 'looking' for the pocket knife. With his right hand, and without permission, he took Jason's helmet off. And made him look at him directly.
"The hell are you doing?"
"Take a guess." He whispered back before taking out the sharp object and cutting the ropes. He stayed with the knife a bit longer, just watching Jason's reaction with a smile.
"Oh my! Oh my!" Zatanna interrupted so they wouldn't continue. "That is not family friendly!" She joked as they laughed.
"Fine. Maybe we went a bit overboard." Babs said faking innocence. She did a little fistbumbed with Kate.
"I can assure you that did not happen!" Roy said out loud, pointing at the girls with his drink in hand.
"Me too. I don't recall that happening." Kori was a bit confused about said story but was completely sure it didn't happened.
"Ok, ok. Maybe Roy and Kori weren't there at all but it could have happened anyways." Kate defended.
"Anyone else?" Zatanna asked taking a slice of pizza from the box.
"Since everyone is making things up, I'll have a go!" Wally accepted.
Both Jason and Dick were being chased by some super-villains and the police. The reasons were a robbery and a murder. Neither of them were caused by them but they just couldn't stop for anything. It happened in the middle of Gotham as cars passed and people walked to late dinner shops. The moon was bright above their heads and no sign of the other members were present.
"So, what are you up to?" Dick asked as they jumped from one building to another. He seemed to be enjoying the chase somehow.
"Well, I don't know right now but it's not good at all." He responded, half turning to shot the man shooting at them in a helicopter.
"Excuse me, serial killer. Will you kindly not shot him?"
"Then?"
"Don't jump." He said as he rolled down in between two building. Jason reacted a bit late causing him to tripped down losing his balance. A hand caught his to swung him to a balcony in front of them. "Hold yourself up for a second." He pleaded before letting go and landing on top of a air conditioner box, without ripping it off the building.
...
They stayed on lower grounds for a bit, following their chasers close. Their spy skills kicked in but were soon put away as they escaped. Now they were underground, in the sewerage, following a track send by the Red Robin.
"Tim said that we'll be able to reach the bat-cave if we follow this." Dick commented showing his phone screen to his partner. "If we are lucky, Killercroc won't be roaming this place right now."
"Now that's a stereotype." Dick giggled at the comment said. "It's true. Just because he is a big-ugly-ass crocodile doesn't mean he'd at the sewerage."
"Maybe you could show me movies were it doesn't happen. I'd like to find one." He offered lending his phone to Jason.
"It's said then. Tomorrow night in my place."
"Oh boy, you are so gonna regret doing this."
"Then you should be grateful you are pretty. If you weren't, then you'll be doomed in society."
"I'll take it as a compliment. Thank you." He elevated his hands to the back of his neck, smiling. "It's been so long since we had a decent talk."
"Last week, when I told you that my apartment wasn't a safe place."
"And then you let me sleep in your bed. Yeah, good talk."
"It wasn't a good talk." He said and suddenly noise coming from their right side made them stop. "Great, now what?"
"We are going up if anything happens. Head East if there's anyone chasing you. I'll go West. Loose then. Beat them up. I don't care but we will meet outside the manor. Understood?"
"Loud and clear boss."
The noise was coming closer so they ran forward. Then the noise ran towards them too. There was no way to loose them so their plan was to be followed.
"Hey," Dick stop Jason once they were out. Not much time left. "Be careful, ok? I know you can do just fine but be careful."
"Same to you Golden boy."
Dick quickly kissed Jason in the lips. Then they were off.
"That was beautiful!" M'gann spoke happily. The other girls had the same reaction and the boys just stared in confusion.
"That's from a movie. Isn't it?" Tim questioned first, not wanting to believe that Wally just said what he said.
"Of course! Or a book. I don't remember." He answered, making the guys sighed in relief. Even some of the girls did.
"I don't see it. Both Jason and Dick are too proud to run from a fight, but I'll give you a seven out of ten." Raven replied, with the others nodding to her statement which was partially true. Especially from Jason.
"C'mon Rae! Even you know this could've happened...at some point." Garfield stated not truly sure himself.
"Indeed Beast Boy, but she is also right." Kaldur'ahm, Aqualad, affirmed.
"They would not retrieve if it was not an order." Cass mentioned. "It's clear on the battleground."
"Ok ok. My turn!" Kara declared.
The 'original' bat-bros were almost falling asleep on their way home from a special mission. Almost not making it home, especially the younger ones. So the older ones decided to carry them. Once they were in safe zone, with Alfred helping with some wounds from the younger ones. The Justice League was also there, in a special meeting with the Bat.
Neither group was surprise to see the other. It had happened so many times it became a tradition whenever they were over in the batcave.
Dick and Jason stayed back to join the meeting, while Tim and Damian were forced to get some rest. Again, it had happened so many times before no one was really surprise.
"So, the Secret Society is at it again? Gee, don't they ever get tired of losing?" Dick expressed while he typed something on his phone, although he wasn't really paying attention to the screen, they knew he was probably the one who absorbed all the information.
"We are afraid so." Martian replied, as the images of the Secret Society appeared with all their information. Then there was a second of silence before he talked again. "We will be busy dealing with an abnormally on the other side of Earth. Nightwing and Red Hood, you'll recruit the Young Justice and the Teen Titans for the job. We know you and the others are more than capable but we only want you to slow them down until we come back."
"Understood boss." Dick answered, putting his phone aside to concentrate on the new mission that was given to him.
"Any new information or dates will be send to you. Anything important must be send to us instantly. That will be all for now." Marian concluded, given the others a glance to see if they had anything to add.
"Ok. Jason and me will be out. Meta-humans are attacking central Gotham." Dick informed before heading to the exit with Jason behind. "Good night everyone. Don't worry about us too much."
...
"Got the what we wanted?" Dick asked, still looking back at the direction of the manor. Not a good idea when riding a motorbike, but he is the Nightwing. He was more than capable to do that and more.
"Yup. Being a street rat pays off in situations like this." His partner responded, holding a bag over his head. As much as they tried to be responsible on the road, they couldn't do it. "You know we are gonna get in hella trouble when they find out, right?"
"It will be worth the laughs."
...
Now they were off the roads, on top a building. The lights from the city hugged them away from the darkness of the night. Both excited to see the precious thing inside the leather bag. Jason took out Diana's Lasso of Truth, then threw the bag to a side. It glowed in golden magic, fascinating both.
"It's more magestic than I thought...It's just...Wow."
"It's an Amazon weapon. Created and used by Gods." Jason mumbled still holding it before giving it to Dick, who just admired the golden colour. "Who you wanna try it on first?"
"I don't care. We have, we use it. We don't have much time before Wonder Woman finds out."
"We could use it on the meta-humans, since we have to take them out anyways." Jason suggested with a smile on his face, Dick's reaction was priceless for him. He could have swore his partner didn't even noticed.
...
"Ok, so the bad guys escaped and now we are tied up. In the Lasso of Truth. In the middle of the night. We are a mess." Dick sided look at his weapons on the floor next to them. Near those were Jason's guns with empty bullets and fresh smoke coming out of the guns' muzzles. It was quite a hard fight.
"So...hum...Mind finding a way to free ourselves." Jason pleaded clearly uncomfortable by their closeness. Although they were back to back, he knew Dick was so calm about it.
"I could try leaning back and see if I could free my hands." His partner suggested as he inclined his head on Jay's shoulder, giving away his smile. As much as he tried to see Jay, his position wouldn't allow him. "Ok, I need you to stand still while I do this. If you don't, we are gonna fall and that's gonna be really bad for us."
"Yeah, yeah. I know. Hurry up."
Dick pressed himself against Jason's back, leaving just enough space for him to slide his arms in from. When he made it, he could finally let his breath go. Jason relaxed while he sighed, like Dick did. Before he could say anything, Dick was doing the exact same thing again as he tried to untie the knot. But didn't last long before giving up and wailing.
"I can't. Try twisting the rope from your side or something." He finally stated.
Jason couldn't even reach the rope with his fingers so he shrugged his shoulders. His action was enough for Dick to sigh again. Dick giggled.
"Want to ask me some burning question?" He asked and the rope glowed in a bright golden, so he figured out it was doing it's magic.
Jason gulped. He was clearly fighting the need to tell the truth.
"Come on little wing. You know neither of us can lie in this situation." He teased while leaning his head back in Jay's shoulder.
"I hate you. And yes, I do want to ask you something."
"Awww, what is it?"
"Since you been out with many people. And you are currently not dating anyone. What are your types?"
"Man, that's some silly question. However, because you are asking me, I'm gonna tell you." He gave a quit pause before answering. "I don't really have a type but I tend to fall for people who...I tend to fall for people who I have rescued once and vice versa. Yeah, I know, it's weird."
"Why?" Came out quickly out of Jay's mouth.
"Why? Oh, I don't really know. Something to do with trust. If they could save me, I could trust them with my life. If I can save them once, I can do it twice. Three times...I could protect them..." Dick went quiet all of the sudden. Still mumbling nonsense under his breath.
It was quiet.
"Who do you like?" "You." They both asked and answered at the same time. Their guards were down so they didn't notice until they heard the answer.
"Oh my goodness! You like me? Really? Red Hood likes Nightwing? Oh my gosh!" Dick teased surprised. Then the next thing he did was letting the rope go, freeing them. He basically pulled the Lasso and picked his weapons up, rushing away from Jason. "I'm so telling everyone about this!"
"You...You! You come back here now! Nightwing!" He tried processing what happened before picking his guns up and lifting them. Both guns pointing at a near Nightwing, fingers pressed against the trigger.
"Come on! Let's get moving pretty!" He screamed picking up the leather bag from the beginning, then putting the Lasso in it. "You could try shooting me babe, but that be such a mean thing to do! It's nearly midnight and Bats will be out soon! You coming or not?!"
"That did happened once. The Lasso thing but not with those questions." Duke pointed out, while the bat-fam laughed at that memory.
"Yeah, it was bad." Luke continued. "They were forced to stay away from each other so they wouldn't kill the other one."
"Yeah...I've been there...Not good." Conner rested his head on his hand, half-closing his eyes to Tim who just smiled 'innocently'. "Don't trust them. Especially a guy called Tim who will force you to deal with it."
"Really?" Kara questioned with eyes filled with hope. "What happened?"
Before Conner could answer that question, two familiar voices caught everyone's attention and tried finding were they were coming from.
"Oh! Wow. Why are all of you here? Wait! You guys didn't call me? Oh my gosh. I fell so disappointed." Dick dramatised with a funny look in his face. They all laughed at his reaction. "My friends and my family, together. In the same room. Not fighting...Who are all of you?! Where are my loved ones?! No. Don't tell me. Just...Just leave!"
"Shhh, they are safe." Kate winked at him, holding her finger in her lips telling him to stay quiet.
"Oh my! Jason! They have our family! And friends! And...and..." He pulled Jason's arm, who rolled his eyes as he was pulled towards his boyfriend.
"You guys, I hate all of you." He said, pointing at everyone in the room.
"We love you too Jaybird." Babs winked at him, taking a sip from a coke can.
"Gee, like, excuse me? Pretty girl, he is mine." Dick released Jay's arm before walking up to his ex-girlfriend, almost face to face with her. He just looked at her, quietly. Then he took one of the cans in the table, blowing a kiss to the redhead. "We are going out. See you on patrol. Lots of love!"
"Wait..." Tim called right before Dick and Jason walked out of the living room. When they both turned to see, the younger one made a sign to come closer. "We have a question. And we really want answers."
"Oh...What is it?" The oldest was the only one who looked worried, although Jay didn't looked at the conversation, he was pretty aware of his surroundings.
"This is dumb. They want to know how you and Todd got together." Damian finally talked, looking away from his phone. Jon, who was next to him, lowered his headphones to listen to the conversation.
"Well. It is kind of dumb but I guess, we could..." The oldest glanced at his partner for help as he didn't know what to do or say. They both shrugged not knowing exactly. "I mean, it was really stupid." He tried joking it off, so they will forget about it but he knew they wouldn't let it go.
"We were talking about it." Jon gave a little explanation, while looking at the others who kept their gaze on Dick.
"Well...there's two times, same day." Dick sat on the back of the couch, looking above his head as he tried remembering that day. Jay forced himself to stand next to his partner, with his hands on his hips.
It was early morning when Dick found Jason overlooking Gotham. They didn't talk straight away but soon loosen up and started talking about their day. As much as they tried looking away from each other, there's was always something that drew them to look back.
"Wanna go eat something?" Dick offered with a smile. It was early, too early to be seen by anyone they knew so it was perfect timing.
"You are paying."
...
They fought over the place, but since Dick was too nice, he let Jason choose. At the end they went to a Chinese restaurant, which kindly serve them anything they wanted. They have saved so many places, they don't remember all of them. Despite the time, they got some lunch instead of breakfast.
"This place is nice." Dick whispered, drinking his tea like Jason did. They weren't talking too much, just casual comments and responses. "We should come here more often."
"We?" He was surprised, almost shocked to hear that pronoun.
"Um...Yeah..." He was saved as their food came. He shook his head, attacking his food and this told Jason to not talk about it anymore.
The more time they were together, things lighten up a bit. Dick grabbed the fortune-cookie, breaking it to read the tiny paper folded inside. Soft chuckling came out his mouth, which drew Jason's attention.
"It says 'You should date the person next to you'. So, wanna date? It says on the paper." He declared, leaving the note on the table, eyes locked on Jay's.
"What?"
"Um...Maybe I could win you over with food...Yeah, that could work."
>>>
Since they spend the morning together, Dick managed to get Jason to be with him for the rest of the day. Of course out of their 'work' suits, to change in normal clothes. It didn't take long for them until they visited many places.
"Stay here, okay? I'll just get something for Tim and Damian."
"I'm not five years old anymore, Grayson."
A few minutes later, a lady walked up to Jason with a flirty look on her face. Jason was clearly uncomfortable but tried to play it cool.
"Hey, beautiful."
"Hello?"
"Why are you so lonely? No girl with you?"
"What? Madam, please, I'm waiting for someone."
"Oh, it is a young girl? I could wait with you, make you some company."
"I'm with someone." He mumbled loud enough for her to hear, who looked shocked. "So please, leave me. Or else..."
"Oh! Hey babe!" Dick came rushing with a bag with some sweets inside. He quickly hooked his arms with Jason's, slowly pulling him back. "I'm sorry madam but we need to get going now. Enjoy your evening!"
When they were away, the oldest was laughing quite loudly. The youngest only looked down, still embarrassed about what had just happened back there.
"Sooo, babe?" Dick muttered turning to softly kiss his left cheek, making him blush. No answer came so Dick kept talking. "Are you okay? If you want me to stop...I-I will do it..."
"It's okay." He murmured, half turning to face him. "Thank you...You know, back there...With the women...Arg...You know what I mean..."
"Yeah..." He side-hugged Jay's waist, pulling him closer. "Want to go home? I could take you. Then..."
"Shut up. Just shut up Dick."
"Wow, that's so nice of you." He replied, resting his head on Jay's shoulder. "So, do you want to date me?"
"You guys disgust me!" Damian focused on his phone again, pulling his headphones down covering his ears resuming whatever he was doing before.
The others just laughed it off before turning to see the couple again.
"Yup." Dick stood up before looking at Jason, who just shrugged his shoulders once more. "We are out then. See you around later?" Everybody else agreed with nods, so they both went out.
...
"Are you happy about embarrassing me?" Jason moaned pulling himself away from his partner. The afternoon light bathed them, with just few minutes to the night. Neither talked until the night came.
"I'm sorry..." Dick apologised felling a bit weird. "I just couldn't tell them the real thing...Hum...You know...That day..." He sighed.
Jason looked away.
"Come on Jay. You know neither of us wants to remember that especific day." The oldest stood in the edge of the building, overlooking the city. "Forget it, okay? It's better that way..."
"Yeah...Let's get going Golden boy." They both laughed.
