actually i'm still not done complaining about rtd writing kate because i've spent so much time hyper fixated on her and modern unit it might as well be a secondary special interest at this point

you know what would have been a far more interesting kate character arc that would fit with the broader themes of the season? seeing her kids. having her kids involved. having gordy be part of unit during empire of death? amazing, and more compelling than the romance they're setting up between her and ibrahim. kate's family is a chunk of the lore, hell bring connall (her nephew around gordy's age) into unit and she wants him to evacuate but he refuses

i think they've severely fumbled what could have been a new dimension to kate by concretely involving her kids and instead went for a romance arc that's gonna do very little interesting with her character (except maybe a scene of bringing gordy in and seeing his mum date someone his age lol)

and don't get me started on the being okay with literal children in her workforce that is literally a frontline defense organization

a lot of my grievances regarding the relationship thing is that i never really wanted a kate romance in modern canon. as much as i love to do weird shipping shit with her in fandom, i think she's a stronger character when she's single-i think it's a good reflection of her history and the generational trauma in the lethbridge-stewart family. she's got her rough history with her dad, what i presume to be a rough divorce and custody thing with her kid, i think her being the head of unit makes it difficult for her to balance work and life. even dating someone inside unit wouldn't help with this imo. not to mention the fact she is constantly almost dying, i couldn't see her entering a relationship after her home literally gets blown up. maybe once she retires but while she's at unit, unit is her life and there's really little room for anything else

i have this terrible inkling in my head that they're going to make unit similar to the avengers and god what a waste that would be

In this headcanon, I can see this precious Bean likes to read books, especially fiction and I believe he is fond of tons of genres but his main favourite is Slice of life because it can relate to him a lot, Action and Romance.

That doesn't mean he doesn't get interested in the other genres of the book. He would get interested in mystery crime fiction books and sometimes read them while listening to music or having tea.

Sometimes get a little bit nauseated when there is some part with too much gore and bloody scenes from inside the book and quickly skip that part.

Also your biggest cheerleader and supporter. He would love all of your crime fiction books and sometimes read all of your books when he had free time.

Definitely gonna watches all of the movies that were adapted from your book. Sometimes watching the movies together with you and would get disappointed when some scenes weren't added to the movie.

Since he is in college preparatory class when he was in high school. I believe he has better English than his other teammates. Thus, he could help you in fixing your grammatical errors.

Unlike Futakuchi and Koiganegawa, he's not much of a bragger and I believe Yamaguchi prefers that no one knows that he has a popular author as his S/O.

The reason is that he doesn't want his teammate to interrogate him (Especially Tanaka, Sugawara, Tsukishima and Nishinoya) and he's afraid if your fans don't like him (reassure, your fans actually loves him once you reveal your marriage with him).

A person with (H/C) hair colour with (H/L) Hair length sitting across from their/her/his boyfriend with a smile adorned on the face. (Y/N) eyes would look at the person across from you with heart in your eyes. The two of you had finally a free day to hang out together and celebrate Christmas.

Another person with dark greyish-green hair with a flyaway piece of hair sticking up at the top, freckles that are cutely adorned on his face, and a set of amber-coloured eyes staring at you back before shifting his eyes away from you, cheeks tinted pink and red. In your honest answer, seeing him getting all shy makes him even look cuter.

"I-i'm really sorry (Y/N) that I could not bring you to a better place. I-i was going to bring you to your favourite place but it was full of people and I was late to book a seat for the two of us," Yamaguchi stutters. "It's alright, sweetheart. You're trying your best to make me happy so I still appreciate you bringing me to this place. It's pretty cosy, especially the decorations make it feels homier," (Y/N) reassure him.

The place was decorated with many Christmas ornaments from the Christmas tree, the white Christmas song from the radio, the floor and walls made of mahogany woods, and a set of green and red decorations around the place. Even though it was just a small restaurant, you appreciate the simple and beautiful decoration of the room.

"I know it's near Christmas but what's with this occasion with you spoiling me, sweetheart? You know we usually just spend Christmas together by watching Christmas together with popcorn and hot chocolate." "I-i know but it's just...I was so proud of you that many people enjoy your book and adapting your book into a movie and I wanted to do something special for you," he stutters and glances at the floor once again.

(Y/N) was speechless for a few seconds, she/he.they did not expect that their/his/her beloved boyfriend would go as far as this just to make (Y/N) happy. This makes your heart thud faster by his cute action and you couldn't help but smile before sitting closer to him. Wrapping your arms around his waist and putting your head on the crook of his neck, causing Yamaguchi to blush to get worse than before.

Sugawara Koushi - Karasuno

The chaotic mom of Karasuno, another supportive boyfriend or husband who would definitely love all of your mystery crime fiction books.

Sugawara definitely gonna brag about you to the third years, especially to Daichi just to annoy the hell out of him or to Asahi, sometimes making them jealous.

I don't think he's much of a novel lover even though there's a time he does read novel books. However, it is only when he has free time and when he is bored. It's not really his hobby.

Sugawara definitely finds some scenes interesting when he sees the detective of the book or the main character of the book solving the case with their intelligence.

Sugawara also can be very caring so each time you are working, he would prepare hot coffee, chocolate, or hot tea for you when you accidentally fell asleep. he would lay a blanket on top of you.

Also makes some lunches or dinners for you when you are too busy writing down a scene but it's not anything fancy. There would be a time he would also give you your favourite food.

It is canon that he is smart even though he is not in the college preparatory class but I believe he has great quality in English Skills. Hence, he could help you with grammar, pronunciation, and ideas for the book.

Scolds you if you are overworking yourself or getting angry at yourself when you feel you're going to be a failed author. He would maka-chop the back of your head, "NEGATIVITY! BEGONE!" You: Ouch! What the hell?!

First-Person Point of View:

The sound of the clock latched on the wall keeps ticking each second as if it's taunting me for wasting all of my time with a certain page of the book that I'm making right now. It's getting harder for me to write down the second season of the book that I'm working on because all of the readers want more action in this book.

At first, there were many ideas I could get to make the story has more action and fighting scenes for the book but as soon I was in the middle chapter of the book. These ideas were gone and limited since they would not make any sense at all. This gives me a little bit of a headache because I want a book that authors and readers could enjoy together.

It feels like a heavy weight was placed on top of my shoulder and trying to take me down. "Did I fail? Fail writing a good story? Why I am this useless. This should have been easy but what if none of my viewers not gonna like the result of my book and attack me," I whisper to myself. Not every reader is toxic but some of them could get a little bit intense.

One of the most popular authors in here got tons of hate comments in their emails from their haters and fans. The readers did not like the ending of the book, not satisfied. All of them also attacked the author of the book for not shipping their favourite characters together. She told me, they went far as blackmailing her and this scares me a lot.

I can feel a painful sting on the back of my head, almost making me choke on my own saliva and I turn around to give a piece of my mind to whoever hit me on my head until I see my boyfriend glaring at me. He has nice light grey locks and hazel-brown eyes with a birthmark mole under his left eye.

"B-babe?" I question him. "NO NEGATIVITY IN HERE! DON'T MAKE FUN OF YOURSELF!" Sugawara chides, glaring at me with both arms crossed together. "....Don't hit my head like that," I frown at him. "THEN DON'T LOOK AT YOURSELF AS A FAILURE. Why are you thinking like that (Y/N)-san" his voice got softer at the last part.

I was silent for a little bit because it was hard to explain my fear of failing my books and causing my followers to hate me but I tried my best to explain to him. Sugawara would nod his head off, showing that he does understand my concern and my fear. I did not expect Sugawara would sit next to me and wrap his arms around me, pulling me closer to his body.

He was warm and there was a comforting sweet smell coming out from him. The scent that comes out from him surprisingly smells like coffee and he did take a shower a few minutes ago. " (Y/N)-san. Remember this, okay? There will be always a hater around you but that doesn't mean you should run away from them. Escaping them only makes them happier and they would think they won. That's why, you don't need to listen to those who cannot see your effort. Remember those who are always on your side and supporting you, especially those who are there from the beginning."

Daichi Sawamura - Karasuno

Daichi is not the type of person who enjoys reading books with more than just one hundred pages just like Sugawara. He prefers books that don't have hundreds of pages because he mostly spends his time in volleyball, taking care of the house, and doing other important things.

He prefers just watching the movie or tv-shows version of your book instead of reading the novel book that you had made. Not because he thinks novel books are boring but rather because he doesn't really understand the plot story if it's in the book.

Unlike Yamaguchi or Sugawara. He couldn't help you much with grammar, pronunciation and ideas for the book because the two of them have better skills than him in English.

But that doesn't mean he is not someone who is supportive. In fact, you're happy to have a boyfriend or husband like him and you wouldn't ask others.

He could be as caring and Loving as Sugawara without slapping or hitting your head in the back and screaming 'NEGATIVITY BEGONE!' but still strict.

Would scold you if you ever overwork yourself and try to make you rest on the bed. Daichi would also tell you to stop overworking yourself because he didn't want you to get sick.

Since it's canon that he would be a cop. There would be a time he would need your help to solve some cases and he is thankful for your book and movies because the cases could get solved faster.

Definitely brags to the other cops in the police station that he has an amazing S/O who his an author. Causing the other cops either get jealous or amazed.

Third-Person Point of View:

It was around two in the afternoon and the city was really hot because of the sun's rays shining through the sky. Many people were sweltering because of the heat, especially the certain person with (H/C) hair colour, (E/C) eye colour and (S/C) skin colour. (Y/N) standing in the middle of the city together with Daichi next to her/him/them.

But you are not alone with Daichi. (Y/N) in fact actually together with other people that were scattering around, shouting and trying to set up some cameras whereas the director was standing next to you and Daichi. Showing the scripts and some scenes from the book, asking you some questions.

"So, inside this scene. The detective is chasing the serial killer, right?" The director asks you. "Yes but before that. The detective made a call with some of his friends or partners so they could trap the escaping serial killers together," (Y/N) explain to the taller man. "Alright, I'll give a quick briefing to all of the cast," the director says before walking away.

Daichi could not help but he could feel his heart bursting with happiness as if his heart just got flipped upside down. He gently placed his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him and kissing the temple of your head. This sudden affection made (Y/N) blush, not expecting Daichi to be this affectionate.

"Daichi-san?" You ask him "I'm proud of you, (Y/N)-san. You made a great movie and story. I might haven't read your book but I'm sure the movie will turn out great," he whispered closer into (Y/N)'s ear. "D-daichi...." you got more embarrassed than before.

Daichi sees the redness on your cheeks and couldn't help but chuckle, 'Cute' he thought. Cupping your cheeks before kissing the tip of your nose and pulling away, not caring that he even made you shyer than before. "You know, thanks to your book and movies. I could solve some difficult cases," he said.

"Really?"You ask him, eyes wide. "Exactly, there were some cases that haven't got solved in a month until I watch those shows that were inspired by your book. It helps me a lot," his hand gently squeezes your shoulder. "I'm glad my book can help a little bit. I was just inspired by some cases and think....maybe there are some patterns that could get recognized and can be tracked," you told him.

Hearing those words made Daichi even more surprised than before. He knew that it needs lots of thought when you are writing down a crime fiction and you writing them down even proofing himself that he has a very smart boyfriend/girlfriend. This causes Daichi even more proud of all of your hard work.

Tsukishima Kei - Karasuno

I can smell that this salt tower is definitely someone who loves novel books, especially those that have hundreds of pages and has several series on them.

So, I can see Tsukishiam does enjoy the books that you made and published. Especially something like Crime fiction, mystery, or any fiction that could make his brain thinks hard.

He is not gonna admit it but he is also a huge fan of your works, reading them whenever he can and when you are not looking because he doesn't want you to tease him.

Secretly also buys the merch of your work from online stores or from those events but if you ask him about it. He would completely deny it.

The salt is secretly supportive but he didn't show it directly like Sugawara and Yamaguchi did. It would be very subtle and you had to be really observant to know it.

He is intelligent so there would be a time he would help with the grammar inside of your book as well as the pronunciation and giving ideas for your book.

And sometimes would clap back at those haters on the internet that were talking shit behind your back. Calling them that at least you're talented unlike those who are just sleeping around and doing nothing.

With all of those positive traits, there is just one thing you cannot stand even though he's supportive. Tsukishima would sometimes make fun of the way you write certain characters and it can be really annoying.

Certain people say that Author is one of the most fun jobs because you could write down any creative ideas for a story. In a certain aspect, it is right but also not. A certain person with (H/C) hair colour and (E/C) eye colour staring at the screens from the website where people can read books and create them.

Despite all of the positive comments that (Y/N) has gotten from all of the readers and viewers. There were some nasty and hateful comments from anonymous accounts. It wasn't just a simple angry critic but it was also a nasty comment about how the book is not worth it and how to suck the author this. "DON'T READ THIS BOOK!" "THE CREATOR CANNOT WRITE!" "THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN UP. IT'S OBVIOUS THIS BOOK SUCKS"

You did expect hateful and spiteful words from these kinds of people because some people just can be heartless but it was still hurtful whenever reading those kinds of comments. Pressing the button of the phone, the screen of your phone turns black in a second and you decide to just forget all of this.

(Y/N) did not realize a pair of yellowish eyes were staring at his wife/husband from behind the door. He wanted just to come up to you and try to cheer you up but that only going to raise your anger more. You're not the type that prefers to be left alone whenever you had a bad mood.

Tsukishima carefully closes the door, trying to not make any noises to alarm (Y/N) and after that. Tsukishima went to the other room, pulling out the phone from his pocket before creating another anonymous account. He is surely going to make those people regret their words with his words that even nastier than theirs.

On the other hand, the man pressed the enter button and rolls his eyes once he was done reading the book. The person did not care whether his comment causes the author hurt or not, 'It's a free country. I can say anything I want,' the old man scoffs until he hears a ping sound from his phone. The bald man immediately turns his phone to see what's going on and he was surprised to see another comment replying to him. An anonymous comment telling him that at least the author is working and can make money on her/their/his own unlike him, just sitting there eating grease with pizza all over him.

The man could not help but seethe in anger before he stood up from the couch, taking his phone in his palm and throwing it across the room, shattering it into smaller pieces.

What are your thoughts on the characters in the Dreamhouse Adventures/Vlogs/TOM/BCBG universe? I'd love to hear them.

My faves are probably Malibu, Brooklyn, Daisy, Renee, and Rocki.

Also, apperantly the next movie will be about Teresa from something I saw on the wiki. I'm really hyped for a movie to focus on Teresa, who I feel like her and Nikki deserve better because outside of a few vlogs and scenes they are often just "barbie's friends" . Also shame Road Trip isn't canon! I thought it took place between bcbg's s2 and tom's s1.

I honestly feel really bad for all of Barbie's friends, especially Nikki, Renee, and Teresa. As time went on they really got pushed to the side, more Nikki and Renee than Teresa since they gave her a bigger part in the latest series (A Touch of Magic). I definitely agree with you that they are treated more as "Barbie's friends" instead of actually being characters. I feel like Nikki and Renee get this treatment the most. It's most disappointing in Nikki's case because she was probably the most fleshed out in terms of hobbies and personality. Teresa got a bit more in ATOM though so at least there's that. I'm honestly not a big fan of Daisy but I think it's cool that she's canonically LGBT+! Maybe during the next series or movie we'll get confirmation on what she identifies as (but I also know some people are unlabled and that's valid too!)

My favorite character is Ken. He's just so sweet and caring and will do anything for Barbie!! I hate that sometimes he just isn't given much to do. Not all the time, but sometimes. And we don't ever get to see his home life! What are his parents like? What does Ken do when he's not with Barbie?? I want to know!!

I think Brooklyn is a great addition to the lineup, though I wish she got more of her stuff outside of that short-lived web series (Barbie Life in the City). I like how passionate she is about putting on a good show, whether she's performing or behind the scenes! As for Malibu, I love her big heart but sometimes she's got too big a heart. There are times she should've been more assertive for herself like when Trey literally broke into her house. I think it got better I just can't remember right now (aside from ATOM I haven't rewatched any of the series lately).

I'm trying to stay optimistic about Teresa's movie, but after Skipper and Stacie's I am a little worried it's gonna be badly written or boring, maybe both. But I really like Teresa so I've got my fingers crossed it turns out good for her. I can't wait to get more insight into her character.

Yeah I'm still massively disappointed Epic Road Trip ended up not being canon. I thought at least ONE of those endings would tie into something but no, it looks like it was all self-contained. We finally got Karbie but then it all just gets erased and that romance gets dragged out EVEN MORE. Like seriously, why do the writers just refuse to let Barbie and Ken be together? Sure it would change their dynamic a bit, but they would still be Barbie and Ken, just now also a couple. I still headcanon ERT as part of the universe since it had time travel, so it supports my larger headcanon of that whole universe having constant timeline shenanigans. So in a way, Barbie and Ken are finally together in one of the timelines.

Tobias should have been a canon LI. Where is the Open Heart Book 3 rewrite that the we need? If someone ever kickstarts this project ILW style, I will be the first to donate. I was rereading the series. I got to Book 3 and I had to stop. The characters deserved better. The series deserved so much better. The Open Heart fandom deserved better. There was so much more that PB could have done with the characters if they cared about the player experience. OH was one of Pixelberry's best series and they let it die in the most disappointing way possible. Anyone who is willing to give the story a better ending deserves the Choices fandom's support. It's been ages since we have had a real romance arc on this app.

so first of all, there's really no reason for Harper to be part of the diagnostics team besides "whoah oh noeses Ethan is talking with his ex whoopsie oopsie i hope he doesn't fall back in love with her!!!!!1!!111!!!" (which goes nowhere, iirc MC doesn't ever talk really to him about their jealousy) and a few nice friendship moments between her and MC when Tobias and Ethan are being dumb at each other (like when you can choose to side w either E or T during an argument OR ask Harper if she wants to get coffee- i genuinely love that part so much). so i would change it so that instead of the opening on the diagnostics team being because Baz is leaving (which also had no reason to happen), but because Ethan took too long to find a replacement for June

imo it would have been more interesting if Bloom had used Ethan taking the whole 3-month closure of Edenbrook to decide on a new team member as an excuse to try and get more hands on with the DT. so like right after Ethan, Baz and MC sit down the first day back he should have just showed up w Tobias & made that new rule about voting on cases. i did like the feud between Bloom and Ethan though, the writers just majorly dropped the ball there. and kept dropping it the whole book.

I'd also remove all of the parts where the MC just straight up ditches work to go play with their friends. it felt so wrong that the MC fought so hard to get to the place where they're at just for them to blow of work every five seconds bc Jackie and Sienna want to go shopping or Bryce wants to drive a fancy car or whatever. or i'd like change it so it happens on days off or after their shift is over.

+ the diamond scene in ch1 where MC and their friends are enjoying all of the amenities that Bloom added for employees, I would have loved the option to be more wary of them, a lot of them seemed like a distraction, like the video games in the breakroom

like imagine ur surgeon being late to ur life-saving surgery bc they were too busy playing mario kart or whatever

i would say there should have been another Big Important Disaster but honestly Rafael has already been through enough with the first two book's Big Disasters being somewhat focused on him

I finally finished Cyberpunk 2077 and wanted to share some thoughts on it. My beautiful baby girl V welcomes you in to this rambly post ✌️

First of all just as an fyi I don't have the Phantom Liberty DLC yet. I know it's recommended and that it adds a lot of fun content but I wanted to see what the game was like as-is first.

Secondly, I had tried to play this game about 4 separate times in the past and every single time I just could NOT get into it. I had tons of fun in the character creator but I found the opening of it kind of boring and confusing and even just running around Night City and trying to build my character I was like...??? What am I doing lol.

I'm not really sure why this time clicked for me tbh. Maybe because I've had the experience of those past attempts? Idk. But in any case, I still found the prologue part a little bit slow and I kinda wish the game was introduced in a different way but once I really got into the meat of things in Act 1 I was having an absolute blast. I love doing stealth in games if I can so I was basically just using netrunning to hack things and bopping people with headshots with my knife and silenced pistol.

The main story and most of the bigger quests were genuinely fantastic. It was actually surprising to me that I just wanted to continue with the main story rather than go off and do side quests like I normally do! But the side quests were also really fun so it was a good balance. I will say that as much as I loved Night City and the world in general, I barely read any documents laying around. Usually if I really adore a game I will sit there for hours reading lore (like Dragon Age or Control) but it didn't grab me as much in this one.

With respect to the romances (aka the most important part of a RPG lol) I'll admit I was a little disappointed. I made a female V and when I met Panam I was immediately in love with her but sadly she's only a male V romance. I never connected with Judy in more than a friendship kinda way so I wasn't interested in her. I ended up romancing River and even though I read he's the least picked romance and I guess a lot of people don't like him, I was SO thrilled with his romance. He was super sweet and genuinely felt like he cared for V, his quest (while horrifying omg that farm) was so cool with the detective angle, and I found his ending super satisfying. Like it really seemed like he understood who V was and although he loved her and wanted her to stay, he trusted her to do her own thing? I definitely cried during their last phonecall before the final mission ;_; And then I was thinking during the game ok well I know Kerry is a male V only romance so maybe I'll make that my next character but then I met Kerry and was like... no thank you lol. I don't like him much at all?? And you meet him SO fucking late in the game which is really disappointing. Like I didn't even finish his missions because I had done everything else and couldn't be bothered waiting around for him to call to continue them. I feel like the male romance characters got really shafted in this game, like you don't meet River until later too and he's missable if you don't do that specific quest. Judy is there from the beginning in the main quest and Panam has a whole-ass ending option!

And speaking of the endings, I didn't look up anything until afterwards about them and just went with my gut. I got the Sun ending and I was satisfied with that one. My girl goes to space lol! And MY personal headcanon is she goes and completes the mission and Mr. Blue Eyes has a cure for her so she survives and lives happily ever after with River in their bomb-ass penthouse THE END. It kind of sucks that there's no real "happy ending" confirmed unless you headcanon it that V is saved later on, but I kinda get it. The whole game is pretty grim. I think I could have gotten the extra ending where you and Johnny storm Arasaka together because we were friends by the end but I'm happy with this one.

Ok and a little about Johnny. I hated his section the first time I was forced into playing as him. I was like what is this?? I want my V back, I don't care about Johnny, this is annoying. And he was such a dickhead at the beginning so my V was really antagonistic and they bickered all the time but holy shit their relationship grew so naturally as the game went on and even though they still bickered lol they did actually become friends and it felt really, really good. I ended up caring for him and it was really hard to choose to send him into cyberspace with Alt because I don't feel like that's a "happy" ending for him either. Alt was clearly not herself anymore but maybe Johnny changes too? But at the same time I did not want to give him V's body and I don't think he would have made that choice either.

Anyway this has gone on long enough lol but overall it was actually a really great game. I didn't connect to it as emotionally as I did with some other games (like the only time I teared up was during that River phone call) but I think I would play it at least one more time with Phantom Liberty installed. I want to do male V nomad and go the whole Panam route with her ending too.

I would just like to say the title of this episode is so misleading…nothing crazy happened. False Advertising!

Eat the Rich

Seeing Anne’s room made me want to talk to her and urge her to revolt against the rich and distribute their wealth.

Spare Katarina, but rise up and revolt.

When I first saw her room, I legit thought Katarina was going to be surprised by Anne’s room and maybe (somehow by the end of the episode) was going to redecorate it and upgrade it for Anne…but nope. That idea quickly faded the second it went into my head.

Revolt against the aristocrats, Anne. 

Spare Katarina, but rise up and fight.

Eat the rich!

No, but in all seriousness, sometimes I have problems with anime (stories in general) where the affluent and opulent wealth of characters is just the background and it’s never going to be address in all seriousness. Particularly when they show that not everyone is as wealthy…

Why show Anne’s room to be like, if you’re never going to actually talk about it nor resolve the wealth gap. Why show her room to be depressing looking? Why not just give her a nice room? It doesn’t have to be Katarina’s room’s level of finery, but something.

That aside, let’s continue onward to the rest of the episode.

Katarina running off to tell everyone (and to thank them) for her making it to the second year, was adorable. Katarina throughout this episode was so goddamn precious.

Anne’s view on each of the character’s feelings for Katarina was fantastic.

Geordo’s Feelings 

While we didn’t actually get to see it, which was disappointing, Anne being scared of Geordo for initially telling Katarina that her scar was gone was hilarious. I am disappointed we haven’t seen Geordo at his true level of horrifying, but still…

Just his eyes narrowing may have cut a few years off of Anne’s life alone.

Keith’s Feelings

Poor Keith. Again, I don’t ship them, but still you still gotta feel bad for him.

What is the purpose of others thinking you’re good-looking, if the one person you want doesn’t?

I love Keith and his mother. They’re hilarious.

Alan’s Feelings

OMG Alan, how have you not figured it out, yet. You’re playing the violin for vegetation at the request of Katarina…I just.

Alan sweetheart, you are in love with this woman.

I do like how he actually did it for Katarina. That’s so fucking funny.

But also, just look at this face, how could he not.

It’s a good thing Katarina doesn’t want any actual political power or anything like that, she would be unstoppable.

Mary’s Feelings

Mary is several levels above everyone else. No comparison. 

She is subtly convincing Katarina that Katarina won’t do well as a Princess-Consort and has already figured out a way for them to leave and probably already has a manor set up by the sea, with a field already to go for the two of them (and Anne).

Mary is a bit scary in all honesty.

Nicol’s Feelings

Nicol’s cute smile was just adorable. Nicol x Katarina aren’t really one of my main ships, but I do love the contrast between these two.

Katarina this bright and bubbly ball of energy and sunshine and Nicol, a stoic statue who has trouble expressing himself, but can’t help but smile when he’s in Katarina’s presence.

Sophia’s Feelings

Sophia wanting Katarina to get with Nicol, even though she also loves Katarina is everything. Her listing off her brother’s good qualities (at random times) is hilarious to me. Always has been.

Sophia is just so damn cute.

Maria’s Feelings

Maria is giving Katarina all the treats. Smart Lady! She may have come late into the race for Katarina’s heart, but she’s playing to win.

In general, I like how we got quick snippets of everyone’s feelings for Katarina. I also love how the anime, legit just says the girls are in love with Katarina. I’ll always appreciate that.

Anne and Katarina

Anne’s POV in this episode was just everything. I’m so glad the anime adapted it from the Light Novel, seeing as the Manga just ignored it. I’m so very happy.

When she lifted up her sleeve to reveal the burn marks, I gasped.

I wasn’t sure if the Anime was going to actually include that part (the Manga did skip over it), so I’m very happy the anime chose to include Anne’s full backstory. 

It makes me sad, but it’s good angst.

It’s not the same as the Light Novel, but Anne’s backstory and her relationship with Katarina was everything. That little montage of Anne and Katarina… my heart can’t handle such cuteness.

Also, I genuinely really love how when Katarina asked Anne’s father to not take Anne away, she had a bit of a bratty vibe to her. Very similar to Katarina before she regained her memories.

Even though she has her memories, Katarina is still a kid. And I just love that.

Anne refusing her father’s order. Mwah!

I really appreciate how the anime changed that scene from the Light Novel to Anne standing up for herself and actually speaking up.

Well Done! Good Choice!

Also, Luigi Claes stepping in to talk to the Baron himself was just nice to see. 

It was great seeing him being intimidating and such. While Katarina sees him as her dopey, doting father, there is more to him.

In the LN, it’s made clear that he learned about the man Anne’s father wanted to marry her off to and was not happy with that and came to Anne’s defense. 

But I also just like how a part of it, is probably because Katarina wanted Anne to stay with her (and Anne wanted the same thing) and Luigi can’t deny his daughter anything.

Luigi Claes doing the right thing (because it’s the right thing) but also, because he’s the kind of father, who will give his daughter anything. There’s a reason why OG Katarina was so spoiled. 

The fact that Katarina knew Anne would come into her room in the middle of the night to put her covers back on her, was just so sweet. 

Because Anne probably thought Katarina never knew she even did that, but of course Katarina knew.

Katarina giving gifts to Anne and being the first person to ever give her a birthday present…I swear I’m not crying, you’re crying.

I LOVE THESE TWO!

I guess while it’s never stated, I presume all the other stuff in the box were gifts from Katarina or objects related to a fond memory Anne has of Katarina.

Which gives me a headcanon.

Headcanon – Everyone has kept all the gifts they’ve ever received from Katarina as well as certain items they associate with a specific time or event they shared with Katarina.

We know from the Light Novels, that Keith has kept all the birthday presents he’s ever received from Katarina. And I thought it was said he kept the remnants of the door Katarina broke down, but I couldn’t confirm that. But now that’s a headcanon of mine as well.

More specifically, I now have the headcanon that either Geordo or Alan kept the snake toy that Katarina first threw at Geordo all those years ago. 

Probably Alan, as that memory is 100% positive one for him. While for Geordo, that memory probably mixed at best.

There is something cute about Geordo being scared of that toy, telling on Katarina and getting her in trouble, but nonetheless keeping that dreaded fake snake.

Anne and Katarina and their whole relationship was just everything. They were truly and absolutely the highlight of this episode. My heart was ready to burst.

Sleepover

Overall, it was very cute. It was nice seeing the girl’s hang out and be in their pajamas. 

Katarina saving Anne from the girls’ question about marriage, was just very nice and does show Katarina is not as dense as we may think. She’s aware.

I will say, though, it was a bit lacking in comparison to the bonus Manga chapter in Vol. 5 (LN).

Particularly in regards to Mary. I mean just look at Mary in the Light Novel for comparison. It almost feels like a different scene. 

Also, while I did realize this last week. 

Sophia’s wish in romance and how over-the-top, pure fantasy, based on romance novels her ideas actually are, really makes her fantasy in last week’s episode (I became Engulfed by Desire) feel way more off. 

And just not accurate to Sophia’s character.

You’re telling me that Nicol in his amplified fantasy is basically Tuxedo Mask jumping around Venice with Katarina, but Sophia’s amplified fantasy is just her being in her family’s library with Katarina.

I call bullshit.

Sophia’s desire book fantasy, should’ve been the most crazy and over top thing ever. 100%. And this episode confirms that.

Both Maria and Katarina wanting to cook for their partner is very lovely and shows their compatibility.

I am a bit disappointed that we didn’t get to see the boys’ sleepover, but Nicol’s eyes sparkling when he heard that the sleepover would include boy’s talk was just too precious.

His thoughts are definitely much more innocent in comparison to what Sophia was thinking when she heard about Boy’s Talk…I love Sophia.

Geordo and Katarina

I was really looking forward to seeing Ch.17.5 be adapted to the anime, but unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed by it.

It was much less sweet, cute and funny then it was in the Manga. Seeing the scene in the anime just made me want to read the Manga chapter again. 

Seriously, you don’t have to read the whole Manga (you should though), but do yourself a favor and read Ch. 17.5. It’s amazing!

Just look at this dork

This was a golden opportunity for the anime, to really show Geordo’s feelings and relationship with Katarina from his perspective. And just endear the audience to him. 

They completely dropped the ball.

I feel like the anime doesn’t understand or even like Geordo’s character. He seems less dynamic, engaging and interesting in the anime. And the aspects that make very endearing and heartfelt, are basically taken out.

He hardly comes across as the leading male…which is disappointing for me, since I really love Geordo and Geordo x Katarina.

I am very disappointed with the treatment of Geordo. The anime is doing a disservice to him, in my opinion. Especially in comparison to Alan who the anime has added extra moments for.

I do appreciate those extra Alan moments, but I would appreciate them a lot more if it didn’t feel like Geordo was being left out. 

Nonetheless, Geordo’s face when he saw everyone else and when saw that they all got Katarina gardening shears as well was fantastic!

Katarina Speaks Two Languages Headcanon

I mean this episode basically confirmed that. With Katarina writing the letter to Geordo, but writing everyone’s name in Kanji (?) on their gardening uniforms.

While we do have Keith’s and Duchess Claes’ signs not being written in the country’s language, that’s more for comedy sake as those signs don’t exist in reality.

But did anyone in the Harem wonder, why Katarina wrote their names in an entirely different language? I just love the idea of everyone being shocked to learn that Katarina can speak and write fluently in two languages.

Conclusion

I overall enjoyed this episode. 

Some scenes I found a bit lacking (or more than a bit) in comparison to what they were based off of from the Manga or Light Novel. I will say I liked how this episode did take its material from the Light Novels and the bonus chapter in the Manga, as well as adding their own bits and pieces.

It was well done.

I’m definitely salty over how wrong they got Ch. 17.5. I just…at times it feels like the anime gets the core of certain scenes and characters (without doing the exact same thing from the LN or Manga or adding their own scenes) just right, but for Geordo they just seem to miss the mark.

Also, the material from Ch. 17.5 just felt like it was added onto the end, it didn’t really go with the rest of the episode…

And in relation to that, Mary being subdued in the sleepover scene was disappointing as well.

I understand there are budgets and restrictions, so I’m hoping they’re saving it for the last three episodes.

Anne and Katarina were the clear highlight of this episode. Without them being the focus of the episode, I would’ve found it less enjoyable, even with all the cute and precious moments we got to see.

But overall, a lovely episode with so many precious moments and it gave me so many feels in regards to Anne and her relationship with Katarina. So many!

@kafkastan tagged you in this because I don’t know who anonymous is. (Anons don’t be shy x; I’m the biggest chump on here, you have nothing to worry about). And yes Nora, haven’t yet and for a second there thought you were the anon XD XD

Some Comments: So. Wow the only shipbingo I put ‘it’s complicated’ for. In other times I would have just been like ‘nope’, but reading your fics (highly recommended btw check her out on AO3 as strikethesun) and discord comments has influenced me somewhat to understand that a ‘ship’ can be of great interest and meaning without it being your(well my) typical ‘they find each other hot, they defied authority to get married’ etc. I’ve also done quite a lot of research on Margaret because of the upcoming chapter (late coming cause of the Ficathon assignment *winks*) so I at least have some opinions and emotions towards one side of this ship atm. I *am* picky about it! I mean especially after hearing accounts of the horrendous histfic out there (you know I mean the one with watersports), I think I would only trust someone with nuance to write about this pairing), and as it follows I’m intrigued by the many paths this could be approached. By now I have my own headcanons but I can also see the multitude of different ways, after all there is a wide spectrum with many shades between friendship and romantic love (maybe even sexual but I have to admit this part confuses me a bit). I do and would continue reading your fic about it, but despite the promise of character study this could take I don’t see many others thought I would be interested ~.

The ‘softly’ and ‘unhealthily’ categories I feel are especially appropriate for this situation. You see, usually it is the woman who is credited with softening her man up but I love the trope subversion. We know Margaret had some soft sides (deriving great entertainment from fixing matches for her ladies: ‘She was an indefatigable match-maker, and seldom ceased meddling with the private affairs of the gentry (Letters of Margaret of Anjou, Camden Soc.; Ramsay, ii. 128, 141; Paston Letters, i. 134, 254, 305, ed. Gairdner’)) and she bring a 'devout pilgrim to the shrine of Boccaccio' (Chastellain, vii. 100. ed. Kervyn de Lettenhove), delighting in her youth in romances of chivalry, and seeking consolation in her exile and misfortunes from the sympathetic pen of Chastellain’ - my feelings for Chastellain himself aside, 🥺. Basically, I know she’s popularly seen as a girl-boss from birth but she really seemed pushed into assuming her more martial position by circumstances and need (and I admire her even more for that tbh) and that’s why I feel like she loved Henry for his more pious, gentle self. The feels kick in with my headcanon that the kingdom falling apart leads her to resenting Henry a bit, without wanting to, at least initially before she accepts her unconventional role as the leader of the Lancastrian movement and inwardly thanks god that it was her that was put into this position rather than someone of weaker resolve. After all, there’s two sides to Margaret’s family: Réné the big renaissance and romantic man who both supported Joan of Arc but also spent many years in captivity with his wife doing the exegies... pretty much like Margaret and Henry hhhh!! Those double apparitions haunt me. I guess you can see where the ‘unhealthily’ kicks in - the initial resentment she feels and the stress and hardening she needs to go through during this metamorphosis before making peace with the situation and taking on the role with some willingness that later turns in persistent ambition and resolve. Her son is talked about enough as the motivation but what about her husband???

I put unrequited/one-sided in there too because I wouldn’t mind seeing that but like from both of their sides if it makes sense LMAO. Like she thinks he has no interest in her and is downright a monk (being young, confused and thinking romantic love cannot exist without sexual love), whereas he feels like he continuously disappoints her because he is well aware of the courtly background she comes and knows he doesn’t fit the rubrik ;’(. The mutual pining would be especially poignant if it remained that way after they are separated by exile, growing especially strong in that one night they are both in the tower but do not see each other. They both have thoughts that have turned in their heads while facing their respective moments of isolation and despair but neverthelles even now at this moment of physical proximity they cannot express them... Idk I have an odd amount of headcanons and feelings for Henry VI/Margaret of Anjou which is odd because they never pop up in my head when anyone asks me what my ships are. Tbh that one picture by @sneez (you know the one with Henry crying and the baby) did hit me a bit. I also put best friends because I like the idea that they may have been a platonic thing all along, but I mean this more in sense that I am ok with them being portrayed as a couple where one is ace (Henry) rather than one where they have no sexual feelings towards each other AND there is none of that romantic tenderness... somehow I feel like I need there to be some romantic feelings in there ngl, I just feel it...

Tbh with the squares I said pretty much everything I had to say so perhaps there’s no point in me adding the ‘The Ship’ extra heading, but, I think the only negative feeling J have about this ship is that I can’t help but feeling some resentment myself towards Henry... I mean when all is said and done he is the main factor why the country got into such a state and now that I know it’s unclear just quite how *mad* he was I sometimes feel like people don’t stop and think enough about how he should have tried harder into stopping the factionalism from growing and moulded himself. There are many far more educated and knowledgeable about him as a person so I would like to be told if I’m entirely wrong in my assessment, it’s just that while I am no *Yorkist* I think that it can be quite silly how people criticise Warwick and York relentlessly as if they should have accepted the sorry condition of the country and just got on with it. Though of course, I in no way think their demonisation of Margaret was fair, hélas! In any case my feelings towards HVI though complicated (his scholarliness is massive brownie point for him from me not that it matters) still tend towards positive more than negative and I do ship it!

To begin with, I'm full of contradictions, utterly boring, very insecure and highly complicated. I would say my strongest personality traits are my kindness, calmness and sympathy. It's almost impossible to scare or upset me, because I always see the good in a person and recognize where anger, frustration and despair come from. There's no cruelty in me at all. I'm open and impartial towards everything and everyone, without any judgment or prejudice. I also have a calming/grounding effect on other people and animals, which is great because I honestly love all sorts of animals (I'm also a vegetarian because I refuse to intentionally hurt any animal). I have a faszination for chaos and rebellion, but am quite submessive/timid and a clean-/control freak myself. I'm always well-meaning and there to help others. I despise people who enjoy the suffering of others, just because they have the 'power' to. I'm very open-minded and I think that every opinion matters and that whatever someone has to say is important, at least to them and therefore for me. I will never ignore someone's sorrows and suffering and I try my hardest to help and comfort as best I can. But, even though I see the good in everything, I'm very insecure myself and have little love and understanding for myself. I have a very bad self-esteem and not a particularly positive self-perception, which mostly defines my actions. It makes me believe that I'm a burden to others and that I annoy them. I feel like I'm not "worthy" of love/there's nothing lovable about me, that there are too many problems in contrast to the little good things. Nevertheless, I would never change myself for anything or anyone, I'm who I'm. For me, dealing and interacting with people is really difficult, because I'm so clumsy and nervous around them and easily feel like I'm making a fool out of myself. Another reason is that I fear to be rejected and thrown aside when someone sees how boring, problematic and annoying I actually am. You would be surprised how timid and reserved I'm; I'm sure you wouldn't notice me in a room full of people if it wouldn't be for my different appearance (I'm always wearing only black, have dyed my hair a little and two ear piercings). I almost never like the "typical" heroes and righteous characters. And somehow I have such a undergoing disdain for any figure in the police and law department. Because I'm easily sad and not a funny/joking person, I like and enjoy people who aren't too serious themselves. And I'm the most loyal person you'll ever find, once you earn my trust, I'll always be on and by your side, no matter what. I've always felt like I don't belong anywhere, like I'm the only cat in a room full of dogs. That's probably why I have a soft spot for the weirdos, outcasts, loners and "crazy" ones. Though, in my opinion, the definition of normal, crazy and real are very subjective. My whole life I've felt kinda judged, misunderstood and unwanted. People often falsely think that my unassuming nature is naivity and take my social-insecurity for aloofness and coldness. I'm also quite opinionated and aware of what I want, how I feel and who I am. I'm often questioning my surroundings, the traditions and rules and I have no problem challenging others, even authority. I'm a perfectionist, which often leads me to overthinking and that can be equally good and bad. I'm absolutely clueless in romance and totally oblivious to flirting because I'm 100% inexperienced in this stuff, but I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic.

Clint was my immediate thought when reading your information. He is very loyal and kind-hearted and I think would be most drawn to those who are kind, loyal, and have strong morals. He would be very good at showing his care and love for everything you are. He does not need words to know how you feel as he is very good at seeing through you and knowing what you feel without them.

What you did for your first date: 

You would have a fun yet casual day out date.

First you would go on a walk through a nearby park, talking and joking about everything and nothing. 

Then you would go to a musical instrument museum.

He loves music too, so this would be great for both of you.

He can sometimes be a bit serious, but it never pushy towards you. He is very caring and helps you to accept yourself and things around you.

Harry is a very encouraging and accepting person and I think he would see the best in you and would never stop showing and proving to you that you are worthy of love and compassion. You first met at Hogwarts, and since there was not much choice in dates he chose something simple that he knew you would enjoy.

A few days or maybe a week into being hired is when Fiona finds out most of the crew live in the penthouse with Geoff, at which point she immediately demands a sleepover. Nails will be painted, hair will be braided, boys will be talked about, nobody is safe

YES, SO MUCH YES, I LOVE THIS OKAY SO-

Fiona gets this idea because she wants to know more about the crew as a whole and she wants to hang with her newfound family, and what better way to get to know someone than when it's 4 am and you're all tired as hell telling secrets or something?? So she calls Geoff up and is like, "Hey dad can I have a sleepover?" (Yes she actually says that, you cant convince me otherwise) and Geoff is like ?? What? And so she explains her plan to him and he's automatically on board. They have no jobs coming up for at least a month, why not let loose? So she makes a huge group chat for the entire crew to let them know, and also she's like, wait why dont you guys have a group chat already wth

So now everyone is ready and hyped!! She shows up at the penthouse super early that morning to help Jack and Ryan prepare for having 11 people in it for one whole night. (We all know Gav isn't finna help, Geoff is asleep, and Michael and Jeremy are helping as well, but mostly with cleaning up a bit and finding entertainment) By 2 in the afternoon, things look great!! The furniture in the living room has been moved around a bit so there's enough room in the middle, where a bunch of pillows and blankets are likely gonna be placed. There's a Switch and an X-Box by the tv, ready to be played. Board and card games like Twister, Uno, and Monopoly are set to the side, ready to cause trouble. Snacks are spread throughout the room, unopened sodas, beer, candy, and chip bags. It all looks great, and Fiona is so excited!! The first one to arrive is Matt, Switch and two boxes of donuts in hand. Then, the Twins, Trevor and Alfredo. Wearing matching adult sized onesies they picked up along the way! And finally, Lindsay. She's a bit latez but nobody questions it because it's well. It's Lindsay.

Everyone is finally here!! The livingroom and kitchen are full of people chatting and playing games. (Lets say they're playing Animal Crossing bc I'm obsessed lol) and Geoff is even out of bed now too. Everyone went all out on this, and Fiona couldn't be happier. All wearing pajamas and sitting on the floor or laying on the couches and chairs, like the children they all are on the inside. Eating candy, even making a bit of a mess, but they'll just clean it up later. It's around 10 pm when Lindsay calls for everyone's attention from her spot on the floor.

"So, as you all know, I was a bit late today. BUT do you know why that is?"

A few wrong answers later, she digs into a backpack she brought with her and out comes a slew of makeup, brand new, and a ton of face paint and nail polish. Fiona squeals and is like, "You actually brought it, yesss! Who's our first victim?"

Michael and Geoff immediately nope out of there and head to the kitchen, but everyone else seems game. Especially Gavin and Alfredo, who practically jump in front of the two girls, tripping over people along the way. Gavin occasionally wears a bit of makeup or nail polish here or there, so he wants his face painted! His mistake? Asking Lindsay to do it. 30 minutes later, she's done with her masterpiece. Gavin looks in the mirror, expecting to see a mess, but he actually doesn't hate it? A gold drips painted from his forehead that go over his left eye, and a small gold heart under his right eye. He actually looks really cool! Then, he turns around to show the others, and they laugh?? Why are they laughing? He looks pristine! He looks again. Oh. That's not a heart. It's a dick. He let's out one of his signature loud squawks of shock and disappointment, with a "Lindsayyy!!" Thrown in for good measure, and jumps over the others to run to the kitchen sink.

During all of this though, Fiona and Alfredo arent laughing. Fiona is laser focused on making Fredo the hottest person in the room. And she does. She stares at her work, nearly an hour after she started, and is proud. Alfredo is loving it too, making kissy faces at the other crew members, posing and showing off his red nails while Jack takes pictures of him using a Polaroid she bought just for this occasion.

Anyways, that's all done. Nobody else wants to get their faces done, in fear they'll end up like poor ol Gav, so they move on (tho Fredo and Gav do keep their looks, Gav is just missing the "heart") Things calm down again for a bit, and everyone is telling stories. Fiona is in the middle of talking about what her life in France was like before moving to Los Santos, when she realizes she's been subconsciously braiding Matt's hair while he sits in front of her on the floor. She stops and is joking like, "aw dude wtf I've been touching Matt's hair" and then Matt is like, "Yeah but this is actually not a bad look if I'm being honest" and the others agree with him! Michael says it makes him look a bit less like an animal (I swear I love Matt lmao but you know they'd bully him during this, nobody is safe) and then Trevor is like, "you should do Ryan's next!! He has long hair too!!"

Ryan is against it at first but eventually is forced to take Matt's spot on the floor, and by the time Fiona's story is done, so is Ryan's new look, and lemme tell ya. That boy can ROCK a braid. Everyone is like, "Daaaamn, Ry, look at you GO" and "Of course he looks better than Matt, the dude was a model" and this actually makes Ryan kinda happy!! He likes his friends giving him validation, sorry I don't make the rules.

The night continues as normal. More stories are told, and they slowly start to get deeper as it gets later. Stories of their past lives, their first kills and first crimes, and romance too. They talk about their worst and best past relationships, what they're looking for in a partner, things like that.

(This is about to get a bit shippy, so I'm sorry if you dislike any of these ships, they're just the ones I personally like and wanted to write about, with my own headcanons for each character and their sexualities. If anybody is interested in me talking about my personal HC's for that, send in an ask tho cause this is already kinda long lol)

At one point, Trevor actually draws attention to himself. Things are quiet and more chill now. Everyone is being supportive, so this is good as time as any-

"Uh, actually, I kinda wanna tell you guys something since we're on the topic. I'm..bisexual."

Everyone is silent for a second, and he actually starts to get nervous, then Lindsay pipes up with

"Dude, hell yeah, bi gang! Love wins, what's up!"

Everyone smiles and laughs, and Fiona highfives Lindsay. Geoff is the next to speak up, "That's great news, Trevor. When did this realization hit you, bud? I've known you for a while now, I had no idea."

"Oh, it was actually maybe..a few months ago? A year maybe? Yeah. About half a year ago I'd say."

Michael chimes in next,

"Wait, isn't that also when you found Fredo and introduced him to Geoff?"

A few oooooh's ring out and Trevor tries to hide his face by looking down and chuckling.

"Uh, yeah. It is.. Anyways! What about you guys? Jeremy, what's your type?" He looks to the shorter male who's lounging on a beanbag near the tv, trying to divert everyone's attention from himself. Jeremy thinks for a second and takes a sip of his beer.

"Hm. Not sure. I like tough people who have a soft side usually, just like me.."

As he names off a few other things he finds attractive, Jack shoots a knowing look over to Ryan. Ryan's had a thing for Jeremy for a while now, and only she knows about it. When you're the crew mom, your kids tell ya everything.

This continues for a while longer with more almost-confessions, before people eventually start slowly passing out. (After a few games of Uno of course. The Monopoly stayed untouched, and they started a game of Twister but were to drunk to stay still and kept toppling onto each other painfully.)

This is a bit longer than I intended and I left out a LOT I wanted to put in but I don't wanna make these too long aishsijsjs I'm not good at writing lol I'm sorry, but I hope you like this!! Tonight is it. Tonight is the series finale of Supernatural. 

When I started watching this show in 2009, I had no idea the impact it would later have in my life. I owe so much to Supernatural, and especially Destiel, for the person I became. This show basically feels like a part of me, and even though I did fall out of love with it for some time, I never stopped watching it, because Sam, Dean, Cas, and later Jack, meant so much to me, even though I didn’t like the story/plot anymore, I cared to see how their stories would end. 

I had never gotten this emotionally involved with a TV show in my life. I’d say I got even more involved than Buffy, which is the other big TV show in my life. The difference probably lies on the fact that I binge watched Buffy, but I watched Supernatural real-time for 11 years. 

Here is my story with Supernatural:

I first heard of the show from one of my best friends at University. She was a huge fan. She recommended the show to me in 2008. She showed me images she had saved of Dean and Sam, and told me the basics of it; she was a Wincest shipper (later converted to a Destiel shipper), so her biggest investment in SPN was the brothers. I didn’t think Dean and Sam (Jensen and Jared) were as handsome as she thought they were. haha But she was crazy about them! I didn’t really get interested in watching the show; it didn’t exactly sound like something I’d watch.

Later, in 2009, my mom left the TV on as we sorted the laundry, and Supernatural was playing on TNT. My mom is a huge fan of Charmed, and she would always watch the Charmed reruns on TNT. She left it on and Supernatural started, and she got interested so she kept watching it. I don’t remember exactly which episode was playing (maybe the Wendigo episode? Not sure, but it was an early season episode). And after that day, we kind of started watching it out of order. 

I became really interested in the show and kept watching it after that day with my mom and sisters, but I wouldn’t exactly call myself a fan. I mean, I was a fan, but I still wasn’t that emotionally invested. When I could finally watch the entire show up to that point in order until Swan Song, that’s when I was already emotionally invested. I had become a “Sam!girl” and I cared so much about what was going to happen next. I was really happy when I found that a season 6 was happening and Sam was alive and out of Hell, and I was really happy to see that it was Sera Gamble running it, because her episodes had been my favorite. (I regretted being excited about Sera Gamble later though lol). 

During season 6 it’s when I started to notice Destiel. Or at least, I started noticing that Castiel was in love with Dean. In my mind, though, there was no way Dean was in love with Cas because for me back then, Dean was straight. I was also raised very conservative and catholic, so for me back then, homosexuality was a sin and it made me uncomfortable to think about it. Especially when deep inside, I wondered if I was not straight myself and I was scared about it--I knew I wasn’t exactly straight, but I was afraid to even consider the possibility (turns out, I’m asexual--I’ll get to that in a minute). For me Dean was straight even if Cas did love him. I started hearing about Destiel around that time in the internet, too. And my sister from the moment she saw Cas’ intro she was like “that’s Dean’s man”, though I thought she was joking. I saw Destiel art for the first time under Facebook posts, and I remember replying to those posts that it was beautiful art, but “the show is about Sam and Dean, about the brothers” (How dumb was I. lol).

So, I watched through seasons 6 and 7, and around this time Cas had become a favorite character for me, and seeing what Sera Gamble did with the character really hurt me. I hated the Megstiel fling they wrote for Cas, and hated what happened to Cas in season 7 when he lost his mind. That was painful to watch (I especially hated the Megstiel in season 7, it felt like... rape? If you know what I mean, since Cas wasn’t okay in his mind I felt like she could take advantage of him... That’s another conversation for another time, though). I had fallen out of love with Supernatural for the first time during season 7. But watching Supernatural had become something obvious for me and my family, you know? We’d always watch it, even if I wasn’t enjoying the story anymore. So, when season 8 started, we were right there to watch. 

And that’s when I really, really, saw Destiel happen right before my eyes. It was episode 8x02, and Dean remembered the moment he found Cas in Purgatory. That scene, that moment... I ran to my sister’s room (who was no longer interested in Supernatural), and I told her. I told her Destiel is real. I started researching online to see if other people really considered Destiel as a serious ship, or if it was just a for fun ship, as I had thought until then. And that’s how I came across Tumblr. I found Destiel Meta about season 7. And it made so much sense. Like, even season 7, which I hated and didn’t make sense to me, started to make sense! As a matter of fact, it only made sense when I looked at it through a Destiel lens. I found this huge community of people who saw Destiel and hoped for it to happen in canon. People who, like me, would only ship relationships that had potential for canon, and saw this in Destiel. I found, I am not imagining this; it’s really there. Dean and Castiel really have a shot at being together in canon. 

I also discovered the word “asexual” and what it means thanks to the reading of Castiel as asexual, during this time in late 2012, and I could finally define myself after wondering for years if I was actually a lesbian and I still hadn’t really defined it, though I liked boys but not in a sexual way. I found the term asexuality and I finally knew where I fit. I learned SO much through Destiel, and Tumblr, about sexuality and sexual orientations, about gender, about identity and representation, about the struggles and fight of the LGBTQ community... I can honestly say I am a better person today thanks to this ship. This is why representation matters so much.

Moving on, I fell out of love with Supernatural again during season 9. But by this time, I was too emotionally invested in these characters to quit the show. Seasons 10 was the same. I didn’t care much. Season 11... I was really uncomfortable with the Amara thing, given she was shown as a baby and Dean had this sexual connection to her... It was so darn weird. But then I realized something: Amara was an object that was there to develop Destiel even more?? And I got interested in SPN again, but I was treading carefully, because I felt like this show was kind of always baiting the fandom with Destiel, never to deliver in the end. I cared again, but never like I used to care back during season 8. 

Season 8 was my peak as a Supernatural and Destiel fangirl. During season 11 it was when I realized that I only cared about the characters now, but predominantly, I only cared about DeanCas at this point. The storylines were not engaging anymore, and some themes had become repetitive, because everything had been explored with these characters, except for the DeanCas romance (in a textual way). I wanted to see if their relationship was ever going to be acknowledged somehow in the show. 

Since season 11, up until November 5th, 2020, season 15 episode 18, I was watching Supernatural casually, just to see what would become of the characters and especially what would become of Destiel. I thought the MOST we were ever going to get was something ambiguous and easy to dismiss. Something like hand holding at MOST, but realistically, a glance that shippers could say meant more, but haters could easily dismiss. And then, 15x18 happened: Castiel confessed his love to Dean Winchester, in a final sacrifice of love. Cas said “I love you” after saying all these beautiful things about Dean and all the reasons why he fell in love with him. How Dean changed him for good. 

Suddenly, everything was possible. Suddenly, Destiel could really happen. It didn’t matter that Castiel was dead, because Castiel has been dead before too many times, and so has Dean (lol). Cas had to come back! And Dean would say those words back. 

All of those years, we were right! Destiel was truly a love story. 

I was okay for years, if Destiel never went canon, I didn’t mind anymore, because they were canon to me. I never even dreamed we’d get a canon love confession, and even less did I consider we’d be getting such a beautiful and epic love confession as the one we got. 

Now, as I wait for the finale episode in the series, I expect Destiel will be fully canon tonight. As I wait, I am a bundle of nerves and anticipation for the first time in years, in wait for a new episode. I am once again emotionally invested in these characters like I was years ago. Because now, Dean and Cas really do have a shot at being together at the end of this story. Now it’s no longer a fan fantasy and hope; now it’s real. Destiel is real. Destiel is canon. I have to say, after the way they have set up the story, I will be incredibly disappointed if it doesn’t resolve the way I hope, with a DeanCas happy ending. I cannot forgive a one-sided Destiel ending when they could have just let us have our headcanons at the end of the show. But at least we know Destiel was always real, and it was mentioned in the show, so it’s now indisputable that this was always a love story. That’s the up side. Castiel has confessed his feelings for Dean; he was canonically in love with Dean all this time and his rebellion against Heaven was all for Dean, and nobody can take that away from us now. In my heart I know, Dean is also in love with Cas, and that will be one of my takeaways from this show, especially now that Cas has come out and said the words. If I was right about Cas loving Dean, I am right about Dean loving Cas. 

As I wait for the series finale, I know in my heart, Supernatural will always be special for me. Not only because of Destiel, but because of all the years watching it with my mom and sisters and finding the fandom and participating in a fandom for the first time in my life. It was fun, and it was life-changing. 

I am incredibly grateful to Supernatural, this fandom, and especially Destiel. I am a better person because of this fandom, and I have zero regrets having been a part of this. (Even when I complain about Supernatural all the time! haha).

Super long ramble, and probably I could have worded this better, but I had to write something today, as it is the final day of Supernatural.

(Literate to advanced writers only, please. I’m not looking for newbies). - Plot before smut. While mature themes will be in my plots, and are even encouraged, there needs to be a good chemistry between our characters. (when actually someone or something else did and everyone assumes he was guilty because he was already a criminal before). Inquisitor as a Companion

I was tagged by the ever wonderful @shannaraisles! This one looks like a lot of fun! (Post filling this out, THIS WAS HARD AS HECK. But I loved it.) 

As it happens, Moira is one of three headcanon companions to my canon Inquisitor Evelyn Lavellan, and everyone loves Moira so I’ll fill this out for her..

Inquisitor’s Name: Moira Lavellan

Race / Class / Specialisation: Dalish Elf/Rogue/Tempest

Gender Identity: Female

Varric’s Nickname for them: Bubbles

Short bio: The youngest daughter of Clan Lavellan’s former Keeper Revan’nain, Moira grew up with a wide-eyed innocence that she retained with her into her adulthood. Always optimistic, her uplifting personality is a boon to all who know her. She loves her family, even though she doesn’t always agree with her father’s iron grip on the ancient traditions.  Moira was an extremely smart child, and by the time she was in her late teens, she was not only lead huntress for the clan, but one of their most skilled craftsmasters. Her ability to recall intricate details for weapons, armor, and other supplies was an invaluable asset to the clan. She is very knowledgable about metals and minerals. Moira will join the Inquisition after learning that her long lost sister/brother had become Inquisitor. This would have been after the Inquisition had taken up residence in Skyhold after Corypheus’s attack on Haven. She would only be an obtainable companion if the Inquisitor is Dalish.

Recruitment mission: “Family Ties”, unlocked by unlocking the Emerald Graves. Upon reaching The Emerald Graves, Scout Harding gives the Inquisitor a report about an unknown Dalish encampment nearby, and that one of their hunters was attempting to make contact with her team before being attacked by Venetori raiders who are hunting the clan. Unlocks the war table operation “Find The Dalish Camp”. Josephine does not participate in the mission, Leliana recommends sending some of her elven agents to seek out the camp, not wishing to give the wrong impression. Cullen says his soldiers can handle the raiders and help find the clan. Cullen’s option is quicker, but will result in the clan being less receptive to the Inquisition. Certain agent opportunities will become unavailable. Leliana’s option will increase favor with the clan and open up opportunities for the Inquisitor to acquire more agents.

Upon completing the war table operation, the camp is now accessible on the map. The clan turns out to be Clan Lavellan, and a group of Dalish hunters escort you to the Keeper who, no matter who you choose to complete the war table operation, is not interested in gaining the Inquisition’s help. Moira comes in and will tell the Inquisitor that he/she should try to impress the clan and gives a series of quests to do in an attempt to gain their favor.

The Inquisitor will need to help collect Dalish artifacts in the Exalted Planes guarded by a Varteral. The Keeper remains unimpressed and Moira is frustrated by this. After this section of the quest is completed, Moira will visit the first camp settled in the Emerald Graves and inform the Inquisitor that she wants to join. 

Dialogue -

Moira: (Brother/Sister), I am sorry for what happened with The Keeper. I really thought that... well, I was wrong. I wasted your time and I’m sorry.

Inquisitor: It’s alright, Moira. You were just trying to help, and I appreciate it.

Moira: I’m the only one trying to help, and I am ashamed that our clan does not realize the threat we face. You say it’s elvhen magic, I thought that would be enough to sway them. But they still have their heads stuck so far up their...!

Inquisitor: Moira, calm down!

Moira: I’m sorry. What I’m trying to say is... I want to join you. I don’t know if you want me as a fighter or as a crafter, but I can’t just stand by while the world falls apart around me.

Inquisitor: Are you sure about this, Moira? You’re willing to turn your back on your clan to fight with me?

Moira: I am sure.

Moira: (Alternate: If the Inquisitor told Josephine that he/she was not on good terms with her clan) That’s what you did, brother/sister. I could do no less.

The Inquisitor will have three options: 1) Moira joins as a companion, 2) Moira joins as an agent, or 3) Moira does not join. If she becomes an agent, she will give access to a series of otherwise unobtainable war table operations.

Inquisitor: (Moira joins as companion) Welcome aboard, baby sis.

Moira: Please don’t call me that, is it too late to change my mind?

Inquisitor: (laughs) I’m afraid it is.

Moira: Thanks, brother/sister. I’m ready to do my part.

Moira: Oh... of... of course. I’ll... I’ll do my best, brother/sister.

Moira: You too, brother/sister. And may Ghilan’nain guide your way.

Where they would be in Skyhold / Haven: Moira is not available early enough in the game to be in Haven.

In Skyhold, she can be found in the undercroft, by the balcony.

Personal quests: Quest 1: An Iron Grasp: Shortly after she is recruited, Moira will ask the Inquisitor for a favor. She has been working with Dagna and wants to try and craft a new type of armor for the Inquisitor. The schematic requires several fade-touched materials which the Inquisitor must obtain in The Hinterlands (Fade-Touched Iron), The Emerald Graves (Fade-touched August Ram Leather), and The Fallow Mire (Fade-Touched Avaar Cotton). The Inquisitor will also have the option to give her non-fade-touched materials and lie that they are what she needs.

If the Inquisitor lies, Moira and Dagna’s experiment does not work and Moira is disappointed in their results. The Inquisitor can admit they lied, and will lose approval.

If the Inquisitor collects all the correct materials, their experiment explodes in the undercarriage and breaks Harret’s crafting bench, but it works, and The Inquisitor gains a permanent 20% percentage boost to crafting masterworks for armor or weapons. Moira approves.

Quest 2: A final plee: Moira receives news that their clan is going to Wycome, and another report about the unrest regarding elves in that territory. She will beg the Inquisitor to go with her to help try to prevent a mass slaughter. This will unlock the (repurposed) war table operation Defend Clan Lavellan, where the Inquisitor must make contact before they venture forth. Upon arriving in Wycome, Harding informs the Inquisitor that an attack has already begun. The Inquisitor and Moira must save as many elves from the onslaught as possible. If they manage to save all or most of the elves, The Inquisitor will have three options: 1) Make a plee to the nobles to end the conflict, 2) fend off the raiders to buy time for the elves to escape, or 3) surrender and attempt to negotiate.

If the Inquisitor makes the plee, the nobles will hear out the Inquisitor and depending on dialogue choices will either agree to end the violence or continue the slaughter. Moira will approve if they end the violence, but will have no approval change if they continue the slaughter at this point (she says in a follow-up dialogue, “I can’t be mad at you, you at least tried to stop them. I thought it would work, too.”)

If the Inquisitor stands and fights, Moira greatly approves.

If the Inquisitor surrenders, Moira greatly disapproves. A small amount of approval can be gained back depending on dialogue choices.

How to get their approval: 

Moira approves of kind-hearted actions, so helping refugees is an easy way to gain influence.

She also approves when the Inquisitor uses knowledge perks in dialogues.

She will also slightly approve if the Inquisitor fills a geological survey requisition while she is in the party.

How to get their disapproval: Dialogue options about her past before you gain high enough approval; siding with nobles or bowing to their demands at the war table. Aggressive dialogue when she is in the party gains disapproval.

Are they romanceable? No.

Can you have sex with them? Ew no! She’s your sister!

Are they open to polyamoury? No.

If they can be romanced and are not, will they begin a relationship / relationships with other character(s)? If so, who? She will begin a relationship with another scout if she becomes an agent instead of a companion.

Who are they friendly with? Varric, Sera, Dorian, and Cole. She loves Varric’s stories and most of their party banter is her asking Varric to tell her more stories while they are walking. She likes playing along with Sera’s jokes. One particular banter has them comparing their bows and ends with Moira saying “Mine’s bigger” and Sera laughs so hard she snorts.

Who do they dislike? She only really doesn’t like Vivienne, because Vivienne treats her like she’s lesser than she is.

Special note: She doesn’t know what to think of Solas. On one hand, she is fascinated by his knowledge, but she’s also weary of his love for spirits and demons.

Companion card changes: (use a text descrip. if you have no images) Post companion quest (good result): Head lifted with a wreath of flowers surrounding her

Post companion quest (bad result): slumped beside a bed, dark clouds above her head.

Side Missions:  There can also be a cutscene mission where she and the Inquisitor go to Val Royeux to go shopping and to get away from it all. Approval can be gained depending on dialogue choices.

Opinions on mages / templars / how the world is going to shit? Since she becomes a companion after The Inquisitor has already chosen, she does not have much of an opinion. She will have special dialogue depending on which side was chosen which shows she is more supportive of the mages, but either way will say she trusts her sibling’s decision.

Something guaranteed to make them leave the party:   After her companion quest, if the Inquisitor surrendered, there will be a cutscene back at Skyhold where Moira will confront him/her about their decision. The Inquisitor can either convince her to stay (must have high approval) or to send her back to her clan.

Special Events:

Imprisoned at Redcliffe: How are they holding up in Redcliffe, being slowly infected with red lyrium over the course of a year? Moira is not available during this part of the story.

At the Winter Palace: Do they enjoy the party, any special events with them at the Palace? Moira is excited to be at the Winter Palace and to see the Orlesian culture in action. She will clumsily attempt to play along with the game and can possibly cause the Inquisitor to lose court approval if he/she does not head it off at the beginning of the quest after the first dialogue with Leliana about Morrigan.

In the Fade: Their reaction upon entering the Fade? Nightmare demon’s taunt, and their response? Fear on their grave? Reaction upon entering - *panic* "Wait... Did you say the fade... This can’t... We can’t be dead!” Taunt and response - “What of you, little Dalish girl? There is no weapon, no design that can save you now. (if her companion quest has been complete) After all you’ve done to save your clan, now you cannot even save yourself.” - "This isn’t real, this isn’t real, this isn’t real!!” Greatest fear - Being the lone survivor

Trespasser: What were they up to two years after Corypheus’ defeat? Any special events with them over the events of Trespasser? If the Inquisitor’s approval with her is high, she will remain with the Inquisition for the two year period. She doesn’t want to attend the council, but will do it for her sibling.

If she was made an agent, she has gotten engaged to her scout lover and is pregnant. She will only have dialogue at the beginning before the council and one before the final mission begins.

If she was never recruited, or if The Inquisitor had a low approval with her as a companion, she will not attend the council.

Other Major Events: Any other major events that happen with them over the course of the main game? None that I can think of.

OK so since @tom-hiddleston-god-of-mischief and other people showed interest, I bumped up my schedule and so... Here is my ‘Craig is totally gay and was in love with the MC in college’ post! So, first off- this is Craig Cahn and the thing that made me first think that he was gay instead of bi. (And fyi I am a Bi myself, so this is more headcanoning and exploring character and not trying to stomp on other headcanons, jsyk.)

Yeah the very first time we met. But look- divorces do happen, and do happen in a chill manner. But... let us note a couple things. One, the divorce literally only happened ‘last year’. Which could mean anywhere from (assuming this is the spring due to college letters and school timetables) 12+ to only 3-ish months ago depending on what counts as ‘last year’. You only get a SECOND of him being uncomfortable while breaking the news before he is on even ground and is like ‘yeah it’s old news and everything is in perfect order now’. AND THE DIVORCE HAPPENED EITHER WHILE SMASHLEY WAS PREGNANT OR JUST HAD RIVER. Now, this could be a him lying, except... it’s never really brought up again as a thing? Like, we deal with Mat’s feelings for his dead wife, Joseph’s failing marriage, and etc but despite how recent it was we are lead to believe their divorce was perfectly amicable despite the timing.  (Now placing a cut here because this gets long and has more pics.)

My theory is that it’s because Craig, who emphasizes the Romance in bromance, was open to Smashley when he started going ‘wait... I think... I’m not attracted to women???? At all???’, but that is a lot to unpack and Craig is the overachiever who is desperate to be great and responsible on all levels, so I imagine it was a long process of discussions and figuring stuff out and recognizing their marriage was failing, and maybe a couple final sexy times to confirm whether or not he really WAS attracted to women, because if Smashley isn’t just as much of a bro as her name implies I Will Be Disappointed (and I mean, not just doing it for Craig, but also sex is fun and he’s sexy and she loves the dude who is her bro and husband). River was the result of that near the tail end of their marriage. That also explains the age gap between River and the twins, if she was the result of years of sex just never happening, and then it suddenly WAS happening because Confusion and Confirming if the Marriage is Really Dead And I’m Gay. Not to mention Ok she goes by Smashley (while in her late 30′s/early 40′s), was the kind of cool person who probably hung out with the MC who has the possibility of being a trans gay man- so she’s probably not bigoted and to a degree Gets It, and so really when the marriage ended it was fine. Now, we’re gonna put a bookmark into this and come back to it near the end for a finishing move, but now we are gonna lay down the ‘...and Craig was in love with you in college’ bit.

This is how we get re-intro’ed to Craig. Doooooeees anyone remember the ‘so I was kinda plain back when we knew each other in school but now we are meeting again years later and I got hot and suddenly you’re noticing me and I had a crush on you years ago and I’m suddenly realizing I never really got over it holy shit’ cliche? From Craig’s perspective, this is what this is. Look at how happy he is by you complimenting how he looks. And before you go ‘well... it’s a compliment!’, think about all the compliments he gets in his first date from other people and how he reacts to THAT. Yeah. And it should be noted that, out of all the Bachelors, he is the only one who asks you to go out with him first. To ‘catch up on old times’, yeah, but it’s a break from the narrative with the others. Joseph invites you to the neighborhood grill event and possible counseling, but other than that? Craig is literally the exception here. And not only does he go ‘Hey you should come jogging with me!’, he then FOLLOWS UP BY BADGERING YOU WITH MULTIPLE TEXTS LITERALLY THE NEXT MORNING AFTER YOU MOVED HOUSES. THE BLESSED THIRST OF THIS MAN.

And what does he do the first time you meet up? He tells a story from your college days. But the funny thing is, the first thing he recalls about it is not some epic stunt they did together but... how you vowed to make him feel better. This is what Craig remembers about you. Not so much the epic bro who did epic things with him- nah, we know from some other stories you/the MC was often on the sidelines watching and worrying at times. But he remembers that you CARED and did something utterly ridiculous for him to make him feel better. And the way he tells it, it’s not ‘hahaha remember that time you stole a fish for me in the most stupid fashion possible’ (which is how the MC remembers it). Nah, he tells it like it’s the Best Story Ever, a Tribute to Your Bro-hood And Why You Are Awesome. And the thing is, I’m not sure if Craig has had someone be there for him like that for a long time. Don’t get me wrong, my headcanon is that Smashley was awesome, but she was busy too. And a chunk of Craig’s romance revolves around needing someone looking out for his emotional wellbeing, which you always had his back on. And then, the first official date happens.

Look. In most other dates you are only get a kiss on the final date. Some have some hand holding by the second, but you go straight to flirting and forehead kissing on the first here, leading to a very Unimpressed River. (I love her.) And LOOK HOW MANY POINTS YOU SCORE WITH THAT. Like. LOOK AT ALL THOSE EGGPLANTS, SWEAT, AND HEARTS? THAT IS A LOT. And that is AFTER he turns down a bunch of moms, after he talks about being ‘too busy’ to find someone. But the MOMENT you hint at him giving you a kiss, even ‘teasingly’ he does and is all. over. it. First date after roughly 17-ish years of not seeing each other. Oh, and earlier in the date, when you go ‘I’m sure someone will come along for you and fit right in?’ That was another big scorer. Because he hopes you mean yourself. And earlier on he kept on apologizing for not being able to be alone with you, and actively takes you back to the empty baseball field where he knows literally NO ONE will be. That’s not a ‘maybe we should go to a coffee shop and be by ourselves’, that’s... setting up a atmosphere man. That’s a hopeful move. That’s a ‘I just want it to be the two of us, even if it’s just for a second’.

This leads us to the second date, where you display you are a good dad to his baby and are not a dick about inconveniences. (Important in Craig’s route, man.) But here I want to bring up Why I Think He’s Gay. Because even when the Waitress is not hitting on him before this, he kinda just... wants it to be the two of you again. He kinda ignores her a bit. And then when she interrupts you/the MC and hits on him... man he gets super sad/uncomfortable really fast. And he gets uncomfortable ALL THE TIME when women hit on him. Now- many of these women are nice, motherly types. The Waitress was hilarious with River before hitting on him.  But he shows less than 0 interest. It legit bothers him. Because he just recently is slowly accepting he’s gay, then you just happen to come back into his life after he moved back and the divorce was finalized (though I wonder if his reasons for moving back to Maple Bay didn’t happen to include a vague hope or two there), and he can’t get a moment with you without a woman hitting on him and making him feel weird and kinda guilty and heeeey doesn’t dealing with internalized homophobia suck ass. And then, the third date. Which is aaalllll about you two being Alone, with a capital A. Now, here I want to briefly touch on my bookmarked Smashley bit, because she is totally cool with taking the kids in for a couple days (which, good since she is their mom), when if all of the above is a correct interpretation she KNOWS they are gonna bang. Like. I’m just saying. (Let us take a moment to picture Smashley talking Craig through things and being like ‘Bro, you can do it. You can make this move. Just first swimming opportunity? Strip, your butt will call to him.’) And ok even if this DIDN’T happen, if Craig was going on a overnight vacation with a guy when I knew he was attracted to men, and this is a friend he gushes about and kinda adores? Yeah she knew. And was cool with it. But my final piece of evidence your honor in the ‘Craig was in love with you back in the day’ is this lil’ series here.

HE. MAKES. THE. FIRST. MOVE. AND PROGRESSES IT HELLA FAST. You move closer? Oh he turns over towards you immediately with his head close enough to breath on your neck. You turn over? His eyes are opening and his hand goes to your waist. You both go in for the kiss, but immediately after he confesses to you. And here’s the thing... this happens whether or not you end up together. And while the other bachelors have emotional moments leading up to the confession/kiss which might overrule their ‘Oh I don’t actually want to end up with this guy’ brain, this is a chill, quiet moment. A chill quiet moment which IMMEDIATELY leads to sex if you interpret the final lines of the night that way. The only 2 other bachelors you are implied to immediately have sexy times with on the 3rd date is Joseph because of high emotions, hopes, and a failing marriage and cheating, and Mat who is on a high of playing for the first time in forever and realizing you enable him to do it and WOW. oH, And Hugo I think? Need to replay but once again- he just went to a wrestling show, met his hero, slammed his horrible student in glorious fashion, and wrestled you. I’m just saying, emotions high in every case... except Craig’s. So, on the ‘bad end’, why would Craig do all this if it turns out he ‘didn’t mean to lead you on’? Maybe it’s because it’s something he’s been thinking about off and on since college, and then it was ALL HAPPENING, and then... it happened, and it wasn’t like he thought, and he realized you weren’t what he thought anymore. In the bad end, he still gets some kind of closure on his feelings. But in the good end, let’s think about this. ‘Feelings I can’t deny anymore’. How long has he had those feelings? How long has he DENIED them? If in the very first date, after not seeing you for 17 years, he was desperate to spend alone time with you and leaped at the chance to give you a forehead kiss.... I say it’s been a long ass time he’s had those feelings. And that is my ‘Craig Cahn is hella gay and was in love with you in College’ post. Thanks for reading.

Dear Chocolatier

This ended up kind of long. I really hope this doesn’t come across as too picky! While I’ve included prompts and general rambling, I can’t predict everything that I’d be interested in--so as long as your idea doesn’t fall under my DNWs, I’ll be happy to read whatever you come up with! This is mostly geared towards fic, since I’m not very good at talking about art, but I’d also be ecstatic about art fills. Full letter under the cut. (Note that I missed nominations, so I was limited to whatever was in the tagset; not all of my favorite relationships in these works are represented.)

What you need to know about me is that most, if not all, of my favorite pairings include some element of opposites attract. I’m not sure that’s the right phrase to use, since it’s often not literal opposites that attract me to a pairing. What I love is when characters have some sort of large difference(s) between them that is impossible to ignore, requires there to be communication between the members of the pairing, and (this is the big one!!) all the members of the relationship love each other in part because of the differences between them as well as recognizing the similarities they have. It’s a bit hard to explain in words, but I hope that helps. To use examples from the pairings I’ve requested: human/elf, human/alien, alien/different alien, human/robot AI, mage/warrior, warrior/diplomat, witch/fairy, angel/demon...I let out a dreamy sigh just typing those out, which should explain how much I love this trope lmao.

I want happy endings. There’s a place for tragedies, but I need to be in a very specific mood to gain satisfaction from them, and right now in my life I can’t really appreciate them much. I generally prefer a “happily ever after”, but “happy for now” is also acceptable (and is more appropriate for several of the pairings on this list). While I enjoy fluff, I’d also be happy with something more dramatic as long as it ultimately has a HEA/HFN. I’ve enjoyed hurt/comfort, but I usually prefer them to be heavy on the comfort.

Regarding smut: I’m fine with or without it. I’m asexual and porn does nothing for me sexually, but I can enjoy erotica, even PWPs, as an exploration of intimacy between characters. (Not necessarily even romantic intimacy--I’ve enjoyed smut about friends with benefits.) Stuff I enjoy in smut: blindfolds; body worship; bondage; cunnilingus; edging; facesitting; femdom/malesub; gentle domination; intercrural; mirror sex; multiple orgasms; mutual masturbation; pegging; praise kink; service topping; vibrators; wax play. And if the scene goes into BDSM territory, aftercare!

However! I am also a very, very big fan of non-sexual intimacy. Kissing, hugging, cuddling, spooning, literal sleeping together, massages, holding hands, words of affirmation...I could go on and on. Love it all. If you headcanon a character in a requested pairing as asexual, go for it!

Delora/Parfait: I didn’t consider this pairing until I saw it in the tagset and now I 100% ship it. Love me a goth witch and pastel fairy couple. I’d like to see them negotiating around the drastically different perceptions of witches and fairies in Angielle. Or maybe something a bit fluffy, like sharing a stolen moment away from the Marchen, or just taking a break from the trials of everyday life.

Lucette Riella Britton/Karma: While I enjoyed the game as a whole, I think Karma’s route was my favorite. For all his eccentricities, Karma recognizes Lucette’s terrible upbringing and how it affected her before the other characters do, and the fact that he’s a prince means that you can get up to some really nice royal intrigue and politics with this pairing. (Also, I wonder--does Karma continue to wear dresses after his curse is broken, just for the fun of it?)

Alistair/Male Surana: Oh, Alistair, my first DA love. Even though he never actually became a templar, he was still trained as one, and I think that could cause some issues in a relationship with a mage. And being an elf mage? Whew. Even though I don’t want something where Alistair becomes king, I’m fine with something where they discuss the possibility of Alistair becoming king, as long as they ultimately decide not to put him on the throne. You could also do something set after DAO/Awakening, where both are active Wardens--maybe they’ve been separated for a few months for Warden-y reasons and they’ve just reunited?

Pairing-specific DNW: Alistair as king, Loghain recruited into Wardens

Fenris/Hawke: Any gender Hawke is fine (I just have m!Fenhawke tagged because it was in the tagset). My Hawke is female, but feel free to write male or nb Hawke; my Hawke is also a mage, because I like the idea of them falling in love despite the tension that causes between them--but if you’d rather write a warrior/rogue Hawke, that’s also good. (If you want to include specific details about my Hawke: she’s named Samantha, specializes in healing, and is mostly purple/joking with a blue/diplomatic streak. I headcanon her as asexual even if it can’t really be replicated in the game. But I’ll be fine with whatever Hawke you choose to write.)

Zevran Arainai/Warden: Like with Fenris, I’m not picky about which genre or origin you pick and only put in the tags in the set for matching purposes. My Zev-romancing Warden is a f!Brosca, but if you prefer another gender/origin, do whatever you want. These two are my favorite enemies-to-lovers pairing, in part because Zevran never had any hard feelings for the Warden in the first place. (And the Warden telling Nathaniel “Some of my best friends have attempted to kill me” during Awakening gains a whole new level of hilarity with romanced Zev.) Zev comes across as a devil-may-care flirt, but he turns out to be a respectful lover if you actually put the effort to get to know him beyond surface level. (Also, that cool-ass Crow armor from the World of Thedas artbook. A+)

Female Lavellan/Josephine Montilyet: Josie! (｡♥‿♥｡) And I romance her with a f!Lavellan, so it’s a nice coincidence that this was in the tagset lol. I’ll be good with just about anything you come up with for this pairing. Josephine is one of the few non-Dalish characters who at least tries to be respectful of Lavellan’s Dalish heritage, even if she is a bit clumsy about it sometimes. My Lavellan is a lesbian mage named Ilena if you’re interested in including those details, but I’ll be happy with any f!Lavellan.

Josephine Montilyet/Cassandra Pentaghast: Fun fact--I ship this because of a bondage fic I read lmao. They have a very interesting dynamic--a warrior who kills on a regular basis (even if for a good cause); a diplomat who has renounced violence. I won’t be picky about anything for this pairing, either.

Good Omens

Aziraphale/Crowley: My most recent love. I have lots and lots of feelings (at least a billion) about these two. Enough that I have a goddamn LIST.

I’m fine with any combination of genders/presentations/efforts/pronouns for these two. I headcanon Aziraphale as being agender with he/him pronouns and Crowley as genderfluid, but again, anything works. Lately I’ve adored fics and art of butch female-presenting Aziraphale, too.

Chubby Aziraphale!! I love!! So much!! Dovetails very well with my interest in body worship (sexual or otherwise). Crowley loves his soft angel!! So much!! And! So much cuddling potential!! (More serious note: I’m not a huge fan of stuff where Aziraphale is extremely self-conscious about his body. Surely he’d miracle himself a different shape if he hated it so much? And he’s been around for millennia, so he’s witnessed beauty standards change drastically over time. It makes more sense in human AUs, but it’s still something I tolerate more than enjoy.)

I’m a big fan of “Aziraphale and Crowley through history” stuff. Pick a time period you like and go wild. Personally, I have a huge soft spot for the 1920s--Crowley would look amazing in a flapper dress. (Realistic or Hollywood-style, take your pick.) (I know that according to the TV script they didn’t see each other between the fight at St James and the church scene, but...bah. Flapper Crowley!!) Some great opportunities for mutual pining, or if you want to write an AU where they got together before the Notpocalypse, go for it.

I will never ever get tired of “first love confession” or “first kiss” stories for these two because I am a romantic sap who just wants them to be happy (they’ve spent so long not being able to be close to each other! they deserve it!!)

Outsider POVs: “random normal person weirded out by bizarre relationship between fussy bookseller and his goth husband” is one of my favorite fandom tropes

Praise kink! I mentioned this in my general smut likes but it bears repeating here. The major fanon is Crowley having a praise kink, which is wonderful and valid (tfw your crush calls you nice and it turns you on so much you try to play it cool by shoving him against a wall). I’ve seen some stuff recently with Aziraphale having a praise kink and now that’s an idea. (He’s spent so long just wanting to be good for Heaven! Even though Heaven’s standard for what’s good is kind of terrible and they hate him anyway so he’d never be good enough for them! But Crowley knows that Aziraphale is good and he���s more than willing to tell him every little thing he loves about him! aaaaaaaa) Regardless of who has the kink, I think they’d be a bit embarrassed at first at having it found out (Crowley: “Being turned on by compliments? C’mon, that’s not me” [it’s totally him]/Aziraphale: “It’s...a bit selfish, isn’t it?” [but since when has that stopped him]), but the other would be more than willing to indulge. (And while Aziraphale is naturally suited to provide praise, given how good he is with words, I think Crowley could grow into the role too, in his own way.)

Heart of the Woods

Tara Bryck/Morgan Fischer, Abigail Dalsing/Madison Raines: I put these two together because they’re so intertwined in the original game, but if you want to focus on one pairing over the other, that’s great! Something that really interests me would be seeing how Morgan and especially Abby would react to the...idiosyncrasies of modern-day America. Also, Abby being introduced to the internet could be hilarious. (Also also, Morgan getting to live her best butch life, and Tara being her slightly overly enthusiastic cheerleader.) On a more serious note, how does Maddie move on after leaving Taranormal?

Lake of Voices

Kikka/Margret: I’m less interested in fluff for this pairing thanks to how dark the original material is, but I’d still rather not have something totally grim. Margret’s route isn’t truly romantic, not really, but considering the short period of time the game takes place during, that’s not surprising--so I’d like to see how their relationship progresses after the events of the game.

Mass Effect Trilogy

Fandom-specific DNW: Sabotaging the genophage cure; Control/Synthesis/Refusal endings; synthetics dying in Destroy ending (yes I know this is canon, no I don’t care; please don’t do post-ME3 if you aren’t willing to work around this); dead Wrex; no peace between geth and quarians (for ME3)

Female Shepard/Garrus Vakarian: While Shakarian isn’t my favorite ME pairing, I do still love it. No Shepard without Vakarian, after all. They work so well as a battle couple and have such great chemistry. My Garrus-romancing Shepard is a Paragade Vanguard named Elliott, Earthborn/War Hero if you want those details.

Female Shepard & Mordin Solus: Death DNW doesn’t apply to this one; hit me with all the feels over Mordin’s death (I don’t like what you have to do for him to survive). Or avoid the issue by doing something set during ME2. Alien Sex Ed is always a classic trope, or something more serious regarding Mordin’s past as an STG operative or his work with the genophage.

Grunt & Female Shepard: Shepard is very proud of her strong krogan vat bby.

Kolyat Krios & Female Shepard: With or without Shep/Thane (”YOU’RE NOT MY REAL MOM”), either works. If there’s romance, how does Kolyat react to his missing dad showing up with a human girlfriend? Does Shepard try to become a part of Kolyat’s life or does she try to stay out of it? There’s less reason for Shepard to get involved if there’s no Thanemance, but I think there’s still opportunity there, since Kolyat and Thane keep in contact after the loyalty mission is completed.

Pairing-specific DNW: Thane dying

Thane Krios/Female Shepard: My favorite ME pairing! At least until BW fucked it up in ME3. (I still kind of haven’t forgiven them.) They have a very mature relationship, I think--both of them a bit weary--and they find solace in each other, at least until the inevitable. I would prefer a fic set during ME2, or in the time period between the end of ME2 and Shepard being detained before ME3. If you want to make something set during ME3, I’d like to see him receive treatment (not necessarily a cure, though I won’t complain if you go that route, but preferably something more realistic than “oh I took a pill and now I’m all better!” or similar) for Kepral’s. I also don’t like the defeatist “well, I guess I’m just gonna lay down and die now” attitude he has when you meet him at Huerta in ME3; it clashes so much with his entire ME2 arc, which has him realize that he does still have things to live for (his son, for one, and Shepard if you romance him). If you’re interested in details about my Shepard: her name is Diana; she’s a Paragon Infiltrator, Colonist/War Hero.

Pairing-specific DNW: Excessive focus on his illness (I know it’s a big part of his character, and I don’t expect people to avoid it entirely, but I don’t enjoy stuff that’s centered totally around it); Irikah bashing or trying to portray her as unimportant

Nyreen Kandros/Aria T’Loak: (STILL SCREAMING ABOUT BADASS TURIAN LADY) I want to see something from when these two were still together, or a fix-it where Nyreen doesn’t die and she and Aria enter a (possibly uneasy) truce. Less concerned about happiness for this one as long as neither of them dies; I’m fine if it ends up that their relationship just doesn’t work out.

EDI/Samantha Traynor: Geeky lesbian with a robot kink + sexy fembot = ooh la la. On a serious note, how would a human/AI relationship work? There’s a lot of possibilities here.

Fandom-specific DNW: Player siding with Joja-Mart

Abigail/Female Player, Elliott/Player, Leah/Female Player, Maru/Female Player: I’m putting these together not because I think they’re interchangeable (they’re not), but because what I want is basically the same for each of them--slice-of-life about the farmer and their partner (either dating or married...or dating then married; no kids please), with emphasis on how the partner’s personality and lifestyle meshes, or doesn’t mesh, with the player’s farm life. Maybe there’s conflicts that have to be resolved, compromises that have to be made. (But I do want them to eventually work it out and be happy together.) If you pick Elliott/Player, I’m fine with whatever gender farmer you want.

Inafune Saki/Meoshi Kouta: One thing I enjoyed about Meoshi’s route is how he doesn’t have to give up games entirely in order to deserve love and improve as a person, he just develops a healthier relationship with gaming. I like the idea of Kouta participating in a fighting game tournament with Saki cheering him on...or maybe he taught her how to play and she’s a competitor too now? DUN DUN DUN. I KNOW IT’S SO SAD

TG’s quality does seem to be going down a bit these last few chapters (I think the real problem started with the Touken romance. I swear I’m not being salty about a ship I don’t particularly like being canon, I just feel like the pacing was a bit bad…Touka’s ‘are you a virgin’ came completely out of the blue, plus Touken has hardly interacted in Re before the recent chapters. It’s been YEARS since they’ve seen each other, wouldn’t things have changed? Neither of them are teenagers anymore. Both of them have grown and changed, but Touka chose not to stay near Kaneki and watch his growth, while Kaneki had no way to see how Touka’s experiences gradually changed her. But Ishida decided to suddenly make it canon and then start focusing on the Touka-Kaneki-Mutsuki triangle to the point where it feels like he’s abandoning his other plot threads… kind of like what Isayama’s been doing lately.).

However, I believe that Ishida is completely capable of making things better if he wants to (remember, he still has the Hide trump card- bring Hide back in a believable way that nobody has predicted and also adds to the story, and I imagine most of the fandom will forgive everything that’s gone wrong in Re so far) so I’ll stick around. Plus, I’ve just gotten too attached to all the characters ;-;

Ugh, y'know, even if it wouldn’t fit very well with all the implied Mutsurie, I wish Ishida would just pull a plot twist and make Ken/Urie or Urie/Saiko canon.

I think I kinda hate centipedes now.

1: Yeah, I don’t think that’s Mutsuki’s hand either (like you said, it looked pretty 'fresh’. Plus, I have no idea how Mutsuki would have gotten one of the limbs Torso cut off). The only reason I mentioned it was because of the parallel with Torso showing Mutsuki their own hand with a wedding ring on it…Ishida loves his symbolism so I thought this might actually matter to the plot.

2: I think it was probably either a stranger or an acquaintance, since she seems slightly surprised and not exactly 'happy’ to see this person, but not afraid or displeased either. I’m scared…why would Ishida not show us who it was if it wasn’t something important? If things went well Yoriko’s probaby just gained some knowledge about what’s going on (perhaps she’s been told where Touka is and why she can’t come to the wedding?), but if not…perhaps a villain’s blackmailing her…idk :(

3: I want to believe that too, but I’m not sure yet. If there’s a reason for Yoriko looking so serious then that might be connected with the mystery character who greeted her when she was out shopping.

Thank you, that really means a lot to me <3 What I’m really worried about right now is that I go to a piano 'hagwon’ (a cram school of sorts, I guess?) and this year they’re going to do a small concert. Everyone who goes to the hagwon has to play a song and I have no idea how I’m going to do this ;-; just trying to look a person in the eyes when I’m talking to them scares me, how am I supposed to get on the stage in front of a crowd (a small crowd, since everyone there to see the concert will be the parents/family of the kids participating, but seriously). Honestly, you’ve voiced my thoughts perfectly. I can’t help but get irritated at all the changes that have been happening. For me, it started around the time we found out about Mutsuki’s past. I mean, can’t we have one character who had a nice childhood and isn’t insane deep inside? At this point, basically everything is overdoing it for me. Let them have a break. A nice moment. A single day without a centipede or someone dying.  TG is slowly turning into shoujo manga. A sick, twisted shoujo manga, but a romantic one. That is the one thing I didn’t want from it. It was actually nice to have a manga without pointless crushes which play an important role in the plot, for a change. Guess I was wrong.

Dude, I don’t care who he kills, if Ishida brings Hide back, he is automatically forgiven for everything and anything. Well, I would care if he killed characters like, but other than that, he’s free to kill anyone he wants (like Furuta (or maaaaybe Mutsuki, but I’d like it better if they redeemed themselves (though that might be difficult))).

I just… I want the cookie to be happy. And Mutsuki is definitely not making him happy.

Gaaah, so many questions and symbolisms, it’s making my head hurt. Here’s my theory: This is a huge setup for everyone to be happy. Mutsuki will run away to New Zealand or something and restart their life, Kaneki and Touka will get married (tho I don’t quite ship it, whatever, as long as they’re happy), Urie will realise he’s loved Saiko all along and she’ll be there waiting for him. Kanae is actually alive and so is Hide. Kanae and Shuu get married. Hide finds himself a nice girlfriend (or boyfriend, not gonna discriminate), opens a pet shop and is happy.

Everyone is happy. 

Okay, but imagine this au: ghouls don't exist and there's no reason for so much suffering. Kaneki and Touka are two kids who knew each other from school and now run a coffee shop together. The Q squad went ri the same class and Saiko alway loved Urie. He recently realised it. And so on.

Ah, I definitely know how you feel. I went to music school as well, and we had yearly (or half-yearly, depending on how long you’ve played the piano) recitals. My method of calming down was to imagine I was at home, alone and just practicing. There was no one around me, and it didn’t matter if I messed up. I could always start again. Also, the audience was vegetables, as far as my imagination was concerned. It did help.

however, we know whom we’d like from TG, but what about other fandoms we share? AoT? YoI? Kuroshitsuji?

Yeah, I’ve been told many times that I’d like Loki, but strictly looks-wise, I must admit I prefer his brother, and I prefer him very much. Idk, I just have a thing for guys with slightly longer hair.

All of that sounds suspiciously like something I’d say…

Of course, feel free to submit anything here!  As for the musicals, I’d be happy to listen to them, but after this week is over, because exams. Then, I’ll listen to both Heathers and Dear Evan(s) Hansen, despite the feels ^^
