#I love this scene sooo much it’s so complex and layered. even the rain and armand’s oversized hat drive me crazy.#armand sternly refuses multiple times to cede any control to santiago and even the act of taking out the umbrella is kind of pointless sinc#louis is already wet. but he does it. and just before this we witness lestat submit to louis but that’s only because he’s imagined.#and this imagined version of him is a lot more sensitive and indulgent with louis than lestat really was.#but it’s all still very tender and romantic. he finally comes to terms with lestat’s death and says farewell to his most loving version.#and he refuses to abandon armand to the difficult life of the coven and leave paris despite the threats to his and claudia’s safety.#text#interview with the vampire#loumand#loustat
