i do think part of the reason people (idk the specfic person ya'll are subtumblring) are upset about anne boleyn costumes being weirdly unfitted and bad is because of the myth that surounds anne boleyn of being a highfashion ultra modern girl boss who wore tudor gowns with her tiddies out and invented the french hood and any deviation from that is a insult to my good friend anne boleyn

it is not my problem that ab stans have got so emotionally caught up in a teleological myth that isn’t even true that they apparently can’t understand how a show’s budget changing works… 🤷

#i am once again asking for evidence for anne the glass of fashion or whatever the fuck the quote is #i am so bored of this claim … both the pretending that ab was a distinct sort of trendsetter who introduced french fashions #and this idea that anne is somehow being persecuted bc jane’s time as queen is benefitting from being shot in a season that clearly #has more money #also why is poor claire catching strays in all of this lol #i think it’s clear they were trying to make her look richer and more fashionable than her peers… it’s just the overall quality was bad #and the ethos for costumes was clearly off #the hoods are a good example of that but that’s clearly not specific to anne
