As soon as autumn arrived, with it came the cold wind and the endless rain. Alistair rolled his eyes as he saw the cloudy sky that waited for him outside through his window. His bed was warm and it was Saturday, which intensified his desire to stay in bed.

Alistair forced himself to get up, feeling the cold of the floor as soon as his feet touched the floor. He took a quick glance at Tadashi, who was still sleeping. Poor guy, he needed a break after everything that happened between him and his father in the last few days. Alistair walked silently to the wardrobe that he shared with his roommate, taking out the red Athletics Department shirt and black sweatpants and leaving them on the top of his bed. Alistair grabbed his shower products and left the room, heading to the bathroom.

The dorm was relatively quiet, as it was 5:40 in the morning. Alistair loved his department, and he loved everything he did but god, he envied the fact they could sleep into late hours of the morning. As he entered the bathroom, he saw that he wasn’t alone. There was Scholar, fixing her hair with a concentrated look on her face.

“Good morning, Scholar.” Alistair greeted her, going in her direction and leaning into the wall.

“Alistair! Hi, I didn’t even see you coming in!” Scholar greeted him back, quite startled at the sudden salutation given to her. “Why are you up so early?”

“I have practice, the real question is, why are YOU up so early? It’s Saturday, you need to rest.” Alistair asked, studying her features. If there was something that he liked about Scholar, it was definitely her eyes, always wandering around the room or simply focused on something. He had noticed how she would avoid eye contact and look around at random stuff when she was nervous.

“I want to do the homework that Ms. Rodriguez gave us early so I don’t have to worry about it during the rest of the weekend.” Scholar replied, staring at herself in the mirror again. “Also, I didn’t know Coach worked on the weekends.”

“He doesn’t, the Athletic Department students do it voluntarily, it’s part of the job. Although sometimes the only thing you want to do is sleep until late afternoon.”

“Well, shouldn’t other students from your department be up already?”

“We talked about it in our group chat, the other girls from the soccer team had a game yesterday and they are super tired, so they’re not coming. Raquel sprained her ankle so she’s not coming either and some of the boys said that they will be ditching practice today.” Alistair told her, then started counting on his fingers. “So taking me, Rick and some other guys, there will be probably 6 or 7 people at the gym today.”

“Got it. Well, good luck for you and the guys today.” Scholar said as she was making her way to the door.

“Scholar, wait!” The words left Alistair’s mouth almost immediately. “Do you want to...I don’t know...have breakfast with me?” Very slick, Al, he thought.

“I would love to. Meet me in my room when you're ready, ok?” She said and finally left, leaving a red Alistair alone in the bathroom, still processing what happened.

Alistair showered quickly, feeling his hands trembling as he ran his finger through his blonde hair. He needed to be nice and clean for her.

He made his way back to his room, dressing up in his usual practice outfit, trying to style it so it would look better.

"Wow man, never seen you so worried about how you look for practice." Said Tadashi, who had just woken up.

"I'm not only going to practice, I'm going to have breakfast with Scholar." Alistair announced, fixing his shirt. "Tucked in or tucked out?"

"In, obviously. You don't want her to think that you don't care." Tadashi joked. “I mean, she probably knows that you like her. Is not like you are very discreet about it, you’re always walking around her, complimenting her, flexing your muscles to her. It's cute to see, you’re like her personal golden retriever.”

Alistair didn’t reply, he just shot a serious look to his friend, so he would stop. Not because it wasn’t true, but because Alistair wasn’t aware of how other people looked at him every time he would orbit around Scholar. After finishing dressing himself, Alistair grabbed his varsity jacket and quickly said his goodbyes to Tadashi, who was planning on getting more sleep.

In the dorm hallway, the blonde boy knocked into Scholar’s room door, who came out seconds later. She was wearing black jeans, a white knitted sweater and her famous red scarf and was carrying her purse.

“Hi Al.” She greeted him once again. “Are you ready to go?”

“Yes. Let’s get some food, I’m starving.”

They both made their way quickly into the cafeteria, which was surprisingly empty. As Scholar sat down, Alistair went to the counter, where he got a coffee and a strawberry cake for Scholar and an energetic and a protein bar for him.

“Thank you.” Scholar thanked Alistair, as he put the table on the plate. “You know, I was very surprised you’d ask me to get breakfast with you. I thought you were mad at me or something.”

“What? Why?”

“I don’t know, after I congratulated you for the Athletics Department’s presentation at the competition you looked…” She stopped talking, as she was looking for the right words. "uncomfortable. I thought that maybe I said something wrong and I didn’t want to bother you so I decided that I wouldn’t ask you what I did wrong because I didn’t want to upset you even more, so when you asked me for breakfast I was shocked.”

“Scholar, it’s impossible for me to be mad at you. You are the sweetest person I know.” Alistair said, reaching to her hand, grabbing it gently as Scholar looked away blushing, clearly embarrassed at this caring gesture.

They both ate the rest of the meal quietly, sometimes exchanging little smiles and stealing glances that ended up with both blushing or laughing quietly. If anyone else saw them, they would say they were a couple, but they couldn’t see it as they were both oblivious.

The time to leave finally arrived, where Scholar offered to walk Alistair to the gym, which he happily accepted.

As Alistair presumed, the gym was almost empty besides some boys who were doing push-ups and seeing who would be the first to give up.

“I guess this is your stop. I need to go do my homework so I’ll probably go back to the cafeteria.” Scholar pointed to her purse, where all of her supplies were, and then looked to Alistair, who seemed sad about the fact that she was leaving. “Or...I could do my homework while you practice, if that’s okay with you.”

“Yeah, absolutely.” Alistair agreed almost immediately, giving her a smile. For him, this was an opportunity to impress Scholar. She would see him doing the thing that he does the best.

As Scholar sat down at the bleachers and started taking her stuff out of the bag, Alistair started stretching, warming up his muscles and took off running around the gym. He was really excited to work out in front of Scholar, as this was probably the sneakiest way to show off to her without exactly showing off.

Scholar was supposed to focus on her homework, but at that moment, she could only focus on Alistair, who had stopped running and was now participating in a push-up contest with the other boys of his department.

As the boys gave up and left, Alistair started laughing. Alistair wiped his sweaty face with his face, showing off his abs and his muscular form. God, had he always been that handsome?, Scholar wondered and quickly brushed up that thought as Alistair was walking towards her.

“Everything alright?” The blonde boy asked, taking a sip of his water bottle. “I’m sorry if seeing me training is boring to you.”

“Nothing is ever boring with you Al, and I love being around you.”She said, making Alistair blush. ”Are you finished yet?”

“Finished? I barely even started. I still need to take the boxing supplies out of the storage room and set them up and then I’ll start the boxing practice. Do you want to help?”

Scholar agreed, setting her things down. Already in the storage room, they both started to take out the things and setting it up in the gym, sometimes touching hands and blushing madly.

With everything set up, Alistair began punching the punching bag, always keeping an eye on Scholar, who gave up on doing her homework and was now just watching him. Alistair smiled, his plan was working.

“How do you not have a girlfriend or boyfriend?” She abruptly asked, taking Alistair by surprise.

“W-What?” Alistair spoke, his voice trembling and betraying him at that moment.

“How are you not dating someone?” Scholar questioned again. “Tell me, how is Alistair Drew, one of Arlington’s most attractive boys, single?”

“Well, it’s complicated.” Alistair took off his gloves and his headgear, sitting next to her. “I’m only single because I’m a coward.”

“What do you mean coward?”

Alistair looked at her, staring deeply into her eyes. He needed to tell her, it was time to finally be brave. He held her hand caressing it with his thumb. Scholar reciprocated, also looking into his eyes, giving him a confused look.

“Scholar, I like you.” He finally confessed, still looking at her. “I’ve been trying to tell you this for a while but I was always looking for the right moment. But the truth is, I was just afraid of telling you how I feel because I didn’t know how you would react. You are the most incredible person I know, you’re simply the best.” Alistair got silent for a few seconds and then spoke again. “I really like you...and I hope you like me too.”

After his confession, none of them knew what to say. The silence between them was uncomfortable, in a way that neither of them could put into words.

“Well, that was unexpected.” Scholar said, trying to help the situation. “Look Alistair, that day during the competition, I was going to say the same thing.”

“What?” He questioned.

“I was going to confess to you. I feel the same, Al.” Scholar announced, smiling shyly. “I like you.”

Now, the silence between them was comfortable. So comfortable that they were now closer than ever, as Alistair placed his hand on Scholar's chin, looking at her like she was the only person in the whole world.

“Can I kiss you?” He asked for permission, waiting anxiously for an answer.

“Yes Alistair, you can.”

And their lips touched, as both were involved in a loving but innocent kiss.

y/n was not an average run-of-the-mill Kook. She was born a Kook but over the years, her family has been balancing on the border of Kook and Pogue. 

When she was 8, her dad went into business with Ward Cameron & started making more money. This business deal brought her the opportunity to meet the boy she called her best friend for the past 8 years.

Rafe hadn’t liked the girl at first but after a straight month of business meetings between their fathers, he had accepted the fact that she wasn’t going anywhere.

Now, here they are, 8 years later & closer than ever.

“So, the midsummer celebration is in a few days.” Rafe smiled over at his other best friend, Topper, as they lounged in the hot tub.

“Who are you taking?” Topper questioned, already knowing that the answer was pretty obvious.

“Raquelle.”

“Who?”

“She’s this smoking hot rich chick I met at a business event.” Rafe chuckled and looked at his phone. Y/n was supposed to be there 15 minutes ago. “Anyway, she asked me to go with her last night when I was at her place.”

“Does y/n know?”

“No. And why does she need to?”

“I thought you’d be taking her, seeing as you’ve gone as her date to every other event.”

“I was planning on asking her, but she’s been so distant lately and I have no idea how to fix it.”

“So, you won’t mind if I take her then?”

“What?” Rafe was shocked at this question. He couldn’t imagine anyone dancing with y/n or holding her in any way. It hurt him to think about it but he shrugged it off. “Yeah. Sure.”

“Sweet.” Topper smiled and set his phone down. “All I have to do is wait.”

The minute y/n’s phone went off, she regretted turning it back on. She rolled to her side and looked at the bright screen. 

“A text from Topper?” she thought about how very little contact the two have actually had and sighed as she opened the text. “Why would he want to take me  to Midsummers?” 

Battling with her thoughts once again, she quickly typed a ‘yes’ and laid on her back. The glow-in-the-dark stars Rafe gotten her for her birthday last week, were bright, causing her to think of names for each and every one of them.

“Margaret, you’re my favorite.” she smiled up at the big one in the center, before slowly drifting off to sleep, completely forgetting she was supposed to meet the boys at Rafe’s house.

Three days later & Midsummers had finally arrived. Tons of people were spread around outside the country club. It wasn’t y/n’s favorite place to be, but her father had wanted the whole family to spend more time together. 

“Good evening, Mr an Mrs y/l/n.” topper smiled as he greeted the family in the front hall. “Y/n, you look absolutely beautiful tonight.”

“Thanks, Topper.” y/n smiled up at the boy and took in his appearance. “Not so bad yourself.” she giggled. He actually didn’t look horrible.

“Thanks.” he chuckled and turned to her parents. “Mind if I keep her back and walk in with her?”

“No problem. See you in there, sweetie.” her father grabbed her mom’s hand and they walked to the backyard. Topper looked at her and held his arm out.

“Gotta make a grand entrance, right?” he smirked. y/n took his arm and they followed her parents. 

As soon as they were outside, y/n spotted Rafe. He had a blonde hanging off his arm and she was laughing at something he said. It gave y/n a sinking feeling in her gut. She turned to Topper and gave him a small smile.

“Top, can you go get me a drink, please?” 

“Sure.” he smiled and started walking to where Rafe and his date were. As he approached, the boy started a conversation with them. He held the cider in his hand and y/n watched as he laughed along with Rafe’s date. 

She was envious, that much she knew. Rafe was supposed to be her date, as usual. But the whole situation they were in was her fault. It was she who pulled herself away when Rafe needed her most.

“Come down, y/n. The water is nice and cool.” Rafe called up to her. She was in his room, looking herself over in his mirror. She had jsut bought a new bikini and was excited to show Rafe, but as she checked herself out, she noticed she had put on a few pounds. Y/n suddenly became insecure.

“Be right down.” she grabbed one of Rafe’s shirts and went down to meet her best friend and wait for his other friends.

“Why are you wearing a shirt? I thought you had a cute new bikini you wanted to show me.” Rafe questioned, wiggling his eyebrows as if he intended to flirt with her. 

“I changed my mind.” she shrugged and spread herself out on one of the chairs.”

“Awww, come on, y/n. Won’t you show it? For me?” he begged with the look he knew she couldn’t refuse. The moment she rolled her eyes and started reaching for the bottom of his shirt, he knew he had won.

“There? Happy?”

“Mhm. Very.” he chuckled as she threw his shirt at him. “Bikini looks hot, as always.” 

“Thanks, Rafe.” she blushed hardcore and was happy that the shade of the nearby umbrella was hiding it. Just as their moment was growing, Kelce and Topper ran out to the backyard and looked at them.

“Time to swim!” 

A few minutes passed and y/n was getting hungry. She stood up and went to the door. 

“I’m going in for some snacks and drinks. You boys want anything?”

“A few beers would be great, right guys?” Rafe asked and the boys nodded.

“Got it. 3 Colas, coming right up.” the boys all looked at her as she shook her head and went to the fridge. She grabbed the beers for the boys and began heading back outside. When she heard Kelce’s voice, she slowed down but when he mentioned her, she stopped completely and listened to them.

“Has anyone else noticed that y/n has put on a couple of pounds?” 

“Kelce, quit it. She looks amazing.” Rafe defended his best friend.

“Of course you’d say that. You’re practically in love with her.” Kelce chuckled at his friends face, which was now a deeper shade of red than it was. “But I’m just saying. She used to be hot. Now, not so much.”

“Kelce, shut up. You’re gonna make him mad.”  Topper tried to get him to stop but when the 3 boys laughed, y/n knew something bad was gonna come out of Rafe’s mouth.

“It’s okay.” he chuckled. “He’s not...entirely wrong.”

Those 4 words shattered y/n beyond repair but she gathered herself and walked out with the beers. She handed each boy a bottle and set hers down next to the shirt she previously had on. When she put it back on and grabbed her bag, Rafe pouted.

“Where are you going?”

“My mom texted me. Said she wants me back home. Grandparents are coming in today. You know how it is with them.” she awkwardly chuckled and headed around the house and to her car. She threw her bag in and drove off.

Rafe knew something was off and that she was lying because she didn’t even look at her phone when she came back out & it had been in her bag while she was inside. There was no way she would’ve known her mom texted her.

That same night, he had to cover his sadness with his new friend, cocaine. He went to Barry and bought more than he needed with the money he acquired from pawning off some of his dad’s belongings. 

When he got home, he set up his supplies and did a few lines before there was a knock at his bedroom door. 

“I’m so happy you came back, y/n. I was beginning to think-” his sentence was cut off as he opened the door and was face-to-face with his father. “D-dad, what are you doing here?”

“Where’s my watch, Rafe?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Rafe, we have security cameras in every hallway. I saw you come out of my office with my watch.” his dad got closer to him. “Where. Is. It?”

“I-I pawned it for money.”

“You stole from me? How could you.”

“I had no choice. You cut me off and I needed my fix.” 

“Rafe, drugs are not the way to go through life.”

“Dad, I think I lost my best friend. I. NEED. THIS!” Rafe fell into a sobbing mess on his bedroom floor. His dad had no idea how to deal with him so he walked out. That was the night he realized the only thing that would always be there for him, would be cocaine.

y/n regretted leaving Rafe’s house that night. She knew what he would be getting into. It was a difficult decision but it helped her get over him.

Or so she thought. All the feelings came rushing back the moment she saw him with Raquelle. Topper had returned with her drink and she quickly downed it.

“Wow. That was fast. You okay?”

“Yeah. I’m fine.” her eyes found Rafe’s and she sighed. “Let’s dance.” she was eager to get her mind off of her best friend so she gripped Topper’s hand tightly & dragged him to the middle of the dancing area.

“Slow down, y/n/n.” he chuckled as they got into the dancing position. The music started and they swayed back in forth. 

Over his dates shoulder, Rafe’s eyes landed on his friends together and it started something inside him that he couldn’t control. 

“Raquelle, can we talk?”

“Sure.” she smiled and followed him to quiet spot on the porch. They sat down on a bench and Rafe looked at the girl.

“There’s no easy way to say this but-”

“You only asked me because the girl you wanted to take wouldn't talk to you?” 

“Well, yeah. That would be the reason, but you asked me.” he smiled.

“Right.” Raquelle chuckled. “But it’s okay. I’ve always known how you felt about her. I’m not angry.”

“You have got to be the coolest chick I’ve ever met.” Rafe smiled and looked over to where he had last seen y/n and Topper. Y/n was staring up at Topper the way she used to look at him. There was some kind of love in her eyes & it hurt him to know he was no longer the only one who received that look. He stood up from his spot and went to go find Kelce.

“Thanks for being so understanding about this, Top.”

“It’s okay.” he smiled. “I’m just glad you told me the reason you left so suddenly that night. I was worried when you wouldn’t talk to us. To me.” 

“I’m sorry. I just...I don’t do good with stuff like that, especially when it comes from someone I never thought would say it.”

“Yeah, i understand.”

“I went my whole life being left out because of my level on the Kook chain. I’ve been insecure my entire life & I’ve never felt like I was good enough for anyone. When I met Rafe, everything changed. I finally felt like I belonged somewhere and that I deserved to be there.” her eyes started to water so she closed them. 

Rafe stood behind the couple and listened to her whole speech. His heart broke to see her so upset about something he said. All he wanted to do was hold her and tell her that everything was going to be okay.

“I’m scared, Top. I’m scared that everything is gonna change now.”  she sobbed as Topper held her closer. They continued to dance and Topper noticed Rafe standing behind them. He motioned for Rafe to come over and that’s what he did.

“Keep your eyes closed for a second.” he let her stand there, giving Rafe the opportunity to take his place. Y/n didn’t seem to notice as they continued dancing to the low love song that was playing over the speakers. 

“Gosh, Top. What am I going to do? I love Rafe more than I’ve ever loved anybody. But he has Raquelle and I have...nobody.” she sighed and opened her eyes. She knew the chest she had been resting on and she didn’t need to look up to know who was with her. “R-rafe?”

““Yes?”

“Ignore that. IGnore all of what I just said.”

“Huh?”

“I heard what you told Topper, about the night you left. I’m so sorry you had to hear it, but just know, I never meant it. It was the only way to shut Kelce up. I’ll never forget the look on your face when you left. IT broke my heart and I didn’t....I didn’t intend to do such an awful thing.” he took a deep breath and looked at the girl. “I don’t know why you always get so insecure, y/n. You are the most beautiful girl in the whole world. You compare yourself to the girls in these magazines but they could never measure up to you. I wish you could see what I see when you look at yourself in the mirror.” he pulled back to admire the girl standing in front of him. “To me, you get more beautiful everyday. And somehow you always see the darkside of yourself, even though everything about you is amazing. I don’t know why you wear baggy clothes to camouflage your shape, because you’re perfect the way you are & I love you just the way you’re made.”

By now, everyone at the the party had stopped when they heard such loving words come from Rafe. They were all shocked at the words.

“Yo-you love me?”

“Of course I do. How could I not? You’re so pretty, that it hurts. You’ve got a heart of gold and when I see your face, I’d do anything to make you smile. I’d try a thousand ways to get you to love me too.” he looked into her eyes for an answer. A hint of how she felt. But there was nothing. “I think you’re a...a....a superstar & I want you see yourself the way I see you.” he sighed. “You’re so perfect to me & it hurts to know that you’ve gone so long not feeling like you were good enough.” his hands ran through his hair as he tugged at the ends. “You’re the only person I can be my true self around You’ve helped me out of so many difficult situations and I miss seeing your smile. The one thing that can always cheer me up. I need to see it again. Please?” he pleaded with her and gave her the look she couldn’t refuse. The second her lips curved upwards, her arms were thrown around his neck, her head pressed into his collar bone.

“Does this mean you’ll forgive me for being an idiot?”

“Of course. I’ve forgiven you for being an idiot before, haven’t I?” she giggled and reached up to cup his cheek in her hand. He instinctively leaned his head into her palm and placed a soft kiss on her wrist. “You may have acted like an idiot, but you’re my idiot. You always have been.” she smiled and pulled his face down gently, their lips connecting for the first time. IT was a quick kiss. They pulled back and looked around at everyone else.

“Let’s get out of here.” he grabbed her hand and led her to his truck. As they both climbed in, Rafe leaned over the console and placed another kiss to her lips. This one was a little longer and packed more passion into it than anything they’ve ever experienced before.

“I love you, Rafe Cameron.”

“I love you more, cover girl.”

Alistair

- immediately notices that you become a bit cold when that "friend" from the athletics department is around

- is it... jealousy?

- Alistair considers that possibility right away, maybe because deep down he kinda wants it to be true? A little bit?

- pulls you aside and asks you what's wrong

- "Y/N... when Sam is around you always act a bit weird. Is something wrong? Does he make you uncomfortable? Maybe I can help you guys talk it out!"

- you shamefully admit that it's not it, from there on, the way you avert your eyes and that obvious blush on your face makes Alistair sure of it

- "Haha... You're jealous, right? You of all people..."

- he's grinning, this is making him way happier than he thought it would and it pisses you off a little bit

- it's actually really easy to make Axel jealous and he always gets annoyed at that part of himself

- But this one time there was a girl who was being especially clingy and friendly

- Axel noticed the shift in your behaviour right away

- he's smirking while questioning you

- you decide to be honest and ignore how happy Axel is with this whole situation

- Axel comes closer to you and acts like he didn't hear what you said

- she's so nervous, as if she's asking something really rude

- you admit it quite easily, there's no reason for you to hide that from Claire

- she's always so caring and understanding about everything

- "Oh! I see! So it really was jealousy... Well in any case please don't worry! I mean I would never, ever cheat on you I swear!! I assure you that it's just your mind playing tricks on you!"

- Even though she doesn't want to admit it, it's clear that she's a little bit happy about the fact that you were jealous

- but still worried about you because jealousy is really not a pleasant feeling

Ellie

- sees that you suddenly become really quiet once that person comes to greet her and have a small chat

- Ellie is friendly with a lot of people and a chatterbox so she easily becomes close with others

- hell, she's the most popular person in her department, if that's not an achievement then you don't know what is

- she tries to talk to you about it but you clumsily dodge her questions

- "Hmmm... Y/N you're acting reaaaaally suspicious right now, you know that?"

- tickles you into submission

- she decides to play a bit with you, even if it's a cruel way to do it, she really wants you to be the one to assert dominance for once

- not to mention that you're sulking in a really subtle way, had she not known you for a long time, she wouldn't catch that at all

Raquel

- gets that there's something going on with you but not exactly what

- it does cross her mind that you might be jealous but she writes it off as "wishful thinking"

- Raquel is pretty popular in general and despite that you have never been jealous

- it seemed unlikely that now, all of a sudden you would start feeling jealous

- But since you're being so moody lately, Raquel gets really concerned, it's not like you're always super cheerful or anything but you've never been this... annoyed?

- "Y/N listen, are you like... jelly or something? I mean it's probably not it but you've been acting kinda weird recently."

- But she hit the nail on the head

- Raquel looks at you in disbelief

- you facepalm yourself mentally, seems like you'll have to say it clearly rather than making him guess, if you ask him to guess he'll be like "What do you mean? What's the point of doing that? Just tell me."

- "Tadashi it's just that, well... lately I've been feeling kind of... jealous. You spend a lot of time with Veronica and it just... it makes me upset even though I shouldn't be."

- Tadashi stays silent for a couple of seconds and you can see his cheeks switching from it's usual shade to a deep red

- Tegan has a big brain but he has such a low self-esteem that he didn't even consider your behaviour to be a simple case of jealousy

- tries to brush it off and instead keep your mind away from... whatever is bothering you

- you really want him to catch the hint so you try making your behaviour even more obvious

- thankfully he ends up taking it as a possibility at least

- "Y/N? Do you not... like it when I spend time with Daniel?"

- he's still so unsure that he doesn't even dare to use the word "jealousy", you end up confirming it for him

- he has seen his fair share amount of drama in movies, he knows what's going on and he loves it

- is super giddy at the idea of you wanting to keep him only for yourself

- he's so smug that it makes you angrier... but you can't stay mad for long with him, he's too witty and adorable

- when you try to be cold with him he either keeps poking your cheeks with his fingers, tries tickling you, hugging you from behind or doing all of those in this specific order

- he's so close to your ear, he's almost whispering

- "Ugh. Fine. Yes. So what are you gonna do about it?"

Raquel:

Is not a big gamer, but definitely owns some sports games

Specifically, football games like PES or Fifa

Is that one person who “ironically” plays Wii sports but… not that ironically lol

Occasionally plays 1st person shooters and is decent at them

I can definitely see her trying out some dating sims if someone introduced her to them

“This is my character? *whistles* I’m a hottie!”

She would probably want to see how many characters she can score and go the “hoe route” for as long as she can

 Claire:

When she was little, she definitely had Nintendogs and Petz

She doesn’t really play games, but she would love to try some if you recommended them

Would never tell you this, but she tried Surgeon Simulator once because she thought it was a serious simulator

She was shocked

She would be into calming and cute games, like Stardew Valley, The Sims, Harvest Moon, or… ANIMAL CROSSING

She strikes me as someone who would also find the Atelier series interesting

Karolina would never admit this, but when she was very young, she agreed to play games with Tegan every once in a while

Knows the entire Mario series like the back of her hand

He used to play Pokémon on his Gameboy when he was a child

If you bring it up, he will get nostalgic and will definitely want to play

Tyler made him play Piano Tiles at a party once, and he was absolutely furious

He tries to play rhythm games a couple more times, but he gives up on them. “I am a rock star, why is this so hard??”

He is decent at games like Call of Duty, or car games like Burnout, but he gets tired of them after a while

If you give him Nintendogs as a present, he will be hesitant at first but then he will never shut up about it

His virtual dog is now his best friend

Not a big gamer, but is used to playing with his siblings

He likes Wii Sports and pretty much every other sports game

He has played Fortnite with his siblings more than once, but he didn’t love it

I guess it’s obvious, but Erika’s always been #1 in my heart. She’s brave, loyal, and on a personal level got be through a lot of rough times. But if I had to choose another, it would be a tie between Starlight (Barbie of Para-Den) and Mariposa.

Least Favorite character:

Probably Ryan from Life in the Dreamhouse. He just won’t shut up about how much Ken sucks and how cool he is and how he’ll steal Barbie away. At least most of Raquelle’s shenanigans were about proving she was better than Barbie in general, not just as a romantic partner. Plus she was way funnier and *gasp* showed remorse every once in a while. 

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):

1. Every combo of the Princess and the Pauper OT4 (Julian x Anneliese x Erika x Dominick) because they all work so no you can’t make me choose!

2. Every combo of the Mariposa OT4 (Willa x Carlos x Mariposa x Catania) because again I ship them all so you can’t make me choose!

3. Starlight x Sal-Lee. I mean it’s a classic “tough girl lets her guard down for this one person” idea that I adore, plus through Starlight Sal-Lee ends up opening up to everyone else as well, meaning she’s taking influence from Starlight. I also think they just have a lot of good chemistry. I wish SLA had it sequel so we could see more of their interactions.

4. Tori x Keira x Liam. I think I actually like this one more than Anneliese x Erika because they get so much more time together onscreen. And omg that time together is just oozing in adorable interactions. The winks, the sly smiles, the gushing, it’s just too cute. I also just think Liam is so sweet with Keira and you can tell from the “Perfect Day” montage and the scene with Tori in the carriage that he really loves Keira’s company. I like to think that Keira ends up casually dating both of them for a while - because she’s a BICON! If you really wanted me to choose just one between them though, sorry Liam, but I’d be Troi x Keira all the way.

5. I’m including Summer x Raquelle here because like I’ve said before I love the chaotic energy they’d have. I think if they ever got together Raquelle’s ambition combined with Summer’s competitive nature would lead into hilarious schemes of proving that there's "obviously" the best couple and Summer getting all defensive if Raquelle’s goals aren’t going her way.

Character I find most attractive:/

I have to admit, I think George (Dreamhouse Adventures) is pretty handsome. I think I just have a thing for men with dark hair and glasses.

Character I would be best friends with:

Oooh, so many to choose from! Okay, if I just pick one it would probably be Marie-Alicia (Alice). We’re a lot alike in some ways, shy about our passions, softspoken but not afraid to throw down, and struggling with confidence issues. I would love to spend calm afternoons with her sitting by the windows in Millicent’s Fashion House, working on my latest videos and musical aspirations while she worked on new designs. And then maybe we’d go for dinner or coffee and treats after!

a random thought:

I’m don’t think I’ll ever be over Barbie Live! In Fairytopia and Barbie LIVE! The Musical being limited releases with no proshots (proshot just means filmed musical/play). I mean come on even BARNEY had a proshot for one of his shows, so why not Barbie too?? Not only would everyone have gotten to see it but it would’ve helped to make back money for the production as well.  

An unpopular opinion:

I love ALL Barbie movies and I don't think they "went downhill" after Three Musketeers. Sorry y'all.

My Canon OTP:

Barbie x Ken because I’m basic but I mean can you blame me??? They’re adorable in Life in the Dreamhouse, and I’m actually loving the slowburn in Dreamhouse Adventures despite how overused the trope is. They’re just so comfortable with each other and it’s clear how strong their bond is, even just as friends. Love them. 

My Non-canon OTP:

Merliah x Kylie but honestly, you can’t convince me they aren’t canon. I mean come on, Merliah has NO male love interest and Kylie and her are a classic “rivals-to-lovers” trope. They kind of remind of me of Annika and Aidan at the beginning of Magic of Pegasus actually, because those two idiots were really trying to hide any attraction with snark and it just didn’t work. That’s how I see Merliah and Kylie; they pretend to be all tough and dismissive because neither wants to admit they’re actually head over heels. Plus I mean Kylie almost DIED to protect Merliah and the whole ocean, could you really blame me for shipping them after that?? Aw man they’re one of the best f/f ships out there. 

Most Badass Character:

I’d say of all the badass characters in Barbie, I’ll choose Rosella. She learned how to provide for herself on the island, she can *parkour* (lol), and most importantly she never gave up trying to help Apollonia’s animals no matter what. Even when everything was against her, she stood up for what she knew was right. Also, she never said one bad word against Luciana. I know that may not seem like much but too many movies with love triangles pit the women against each other and I’m just not fond of that unless one of them is supposed to be really nasty or villanous.

Most Epic Villain:

I’m going with Preminger because he honestly scares me. Similar to someone like Adagio Dazzle, he’s almost always one step ahead and easily molds the situation to fit his needs. Every time a wrench is thrown into his plans, he finds a way to adapt and continue being the one in control. He’s undoubtedly clever and cunning.

Pairing I am not a fan of:

i know I’ve said this before but UGH Kara/Super Sparkle x Wes Rivers. I don’t care if he’s supposed to be her “Lois Lane”, he’s a wannabe newshound who exposed her identity without a second thought to boost traffic to his blog. That is the NUMBER ONE thing you do not do to a superhero because it can and WILL endanger not only the life of the hero herself but also anyone she knows. He’s not a journalist, he’s just a one-man papparazzi with a phone instead of a camera. Absolute worst Barbie movie love interest.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):

Barbie in Puppy Chase. First, she brings the puppies with them to Hawaii for no good reason. Seriously, there’s a lot of work that goes with bringing pets on a plane, so unless it was Chelsea that begged her to take the puppies, which I seriously doubt, there was no reason to waste any time/money on doing that. Secondly, she didn’t reserve a car beforehand. That’s...just common sense. Third, she completely ignored Chelsea every time she said that it was HER trip, for HER competition, and SHE wanted to go straight to the hotel. There was time to see the horses and whatever else, sure, but they should’ve done it AFTER checking in at the hotel. Not to mention, what if their room had been given to someone else because they were no-shows? This movie just made Barbie look like an insensitive idiot and I can’t forgive that.

Favourite Friendship:

One of my favorites is definitely Erika Juno and Princess Olivia. I made a longer post about it a few years ago. I really like how they teach each other and how they grow thanks to each other’s influences.

Character I most identify with:

Right now, Starlight & Erika. I’m jittery, unfocused, and at times really unconfident. At the same time, I also feel trapped inside and music is really my escape from both the world and my own sorrows.

When I get older, I hope to be like Aunt Millicent - the “cool” aunt that inspires her siblings’ children, like how Millicent inspired Barbie to be a strong woman. I mean I’dl ike to be inspiring to my own children as well, but I chose Aunt Millicent specifically because I’m not sure if I myself will ever be ready to have a child, so right now I’m preparing more for being the best Aunt I can whenever my little sibs have kids.
