What if whumper wasn't waiting for them to become desperate? What if they were truly the next one to go and whumpee has to genuinely convince them that they will behave and that they will do absolutely anything they want; before the show ends? Maybe they start crying and acting pathetic and seeking whumper's warmth in the hopes that theyll believe them and give them a chance to prove it. No matter what whumper wants, it cannot be worse than this, but even if it is, at least they'll be alive to try to escape later. But they Need to convince whumper they are worth it.

Thinking about... Whumpers making Whumpee watch something horrific being done to someone. Maybe whumpee is next in line and whumper tells them so as they watch someone being tortured. And whumpee is so terrified they would do absolutely anything not to have to join in. That's all whumper wanted really; whumpee's willing cooperation. They just wanted to show them a taste of just how fucked they are so they'll reconsider how they want to go about their time spent with whumper.
