Non-English speaking Destiny fan here - in Polish, they've always called Rasputin a StrategOS (not a typo, the OS is capitalized). The pun works better in English than it does in Polish, actually, since we don't even have the word "strategos".

Hhhhhhuh. "Strategos" isn't a common English word either, except for that one board game. It's a cute pun though.

So far the responses I've gotten are:

French: "Esprit Tutélaire," literally tutelary deity

German: "Kriegsgeist," literally "War-Mind," "geist" meaning spirit/mind/ghost rather than "hirn" meaning literal brainmeat

Japanese: "Warmind" rendered in katana

(LatAm) Spanish: (from @viiridiangreen) "El Estratega," literally "The Strategist"

Italian: (from @nocciola-17) “la Mente Bellica” or “the Mind of War,” so pretty literal there

And now Polish: "StrategOS", a pun on English software names and the Greek "strategos" meaning "military general"

I know I can look up the translations myself but I'm looking to get the cultural context and nuances of the words from actual speakers. I'm interested in what Bungie's translators thought were the essential aspects of Rasputin's character to convey - in French, emphasizing his civic/supervisory duties; in Spanish, his planning ones; in Polish, his digital nature (but also just a funny pun).

It was some other time. Rumi and I met when she saved me from the villain. After she beat the villain, she went up to me, asking me if I was okay. I almost couldn’t speak ‘cause of how strong & badass she is. I love her muscular arms, it’s so attractive to me. When she flex her arms, I find it so hot. Ever since she saved me from the villain, I started to have a crush on her. About a week after she saved me, I saw her again walking in the street. I walked up to her & thank her for saving me. Rumi said it’s no problem, I’m just hopping around & kicking the bad guys’ butts! I smiled at her, admiring her of how strong she is. I blushed when she said that. Rumi noticed I was blushing and asked me what I was blushing about. I told her ever since she saved me, I started to have feelings for her. It caught her off guard when I said that, Rumi said in a calm voice saying how very sweet of me, she called me little bunny and said I was cute when my face is red. I asked her if she want to have a coffee date with me and she said yes. After asking her out, she & I gave each other our phone numbers and started to call & text each other. Rumi & I went to the coffee café & we talked for about an hour there. We got to know each other & Rumi started to have feelings for me while I was talking to her. Feedback Fest 2018

As for  international fanworks day and the Feedback Fest hosted on AO3 here are some fanfic recs for you guys. Please go check them out, all of these authors are amazing and all of this are works I went back to read multiple times because I loved them so so much.

1. Bad Blood written by @toni-ketch . I love this so so much, it has all the angst and deep feelings. John Winchester is not an easy character to write (or love), but this author did an amazing job with this, Actually I think she was the one who made me see John in a different light in the first place. I kinda hated his ass in the show for how he treated the boys. 

Anyway if anyone is looking for a great John Winchester x reader story with all the angst and yet good ending check out what’s behind curtain number 1.

2. The Tower by @littlemisssyreid. I admit I haven't read this multiple times just yet, but only because I’m still dealing with all the feels from the first time. Loki is so in character and half the time I want to strangle him for it. But that scene when the tower collapsed... FEELS! This story has all the original marvel characters 120% in-character and even added some precious OCs on the sideline. I can only imagine how much work went into this and man you should be so so proud of this long and powerful series.

So if anyone of you is looking for a great Loki x Reader multi-chapter series check it out. It’s outstanding!

3. Bits & Pieces by  @wordsplatwrites. this might be cheating because it’s not one work but a collection of shorter ones. But if I have to make a list of favourites this needs to be included. I love going back to read this chapter or the other whenever I’m in need of a short, cute OS. Not x reader, but my precious Tony and Steve being adorable (more like stubborn) together. The vampire AU is one of my favs, but I also love the one where Tony and Nat speak Italian and Steve understands but just doesn't get it...

If you are a fan of Steve x Tony this is a must read. There is so much variety and every little one shot is perfect and precious in its own way.

The Man Child aka the Husband

When you marry someone, you marry them for life. You marry their pros and their cons and pray the pros out way the cons, like snoring, leaving clothes in front of the hamper, leaving the kitchen cabinets open ect. But good thing he is cute, cooks and is pretty handy around the house when needed. But seriously, in all honesty we drive each other nuts. I buy too many bows and boutique clothing. I always drag is ass to hobby lobby. I bitch about work and how the laundry didnt get flipped (speaking of, i need to text him that reminder). I set appointments in both our phones so he doesnt forget them. But in the end of the day he is my techy, geeky, Italian tempered man. He works his body to the bone and has put off surgery for years to continue to provide for all of us. He loves fiercely and laughs at inappropriate jokes with the rest of us. He is my rock, my safe space and my person. But then, he sends you a picture message. Of his foot, with neon colored Trolls band aids on his big toe.....talking about how he slipped and messed up his toe on the front step.....how do i take this troll band aid wearing man seriously ? Answer, is you dont. Lol He is wearing trolls on his ficking toe and that shit os priceless and the pic will be stored for future use....at a family event of course. I love that man child of mine...
