i feel like the left over compensates for cultural appropriation to the point of not even wanting to engage in art made by racial and cultural minorities out of fear of fucking up. And this is especially infuriating when it comes to American media and specifically black made media.
Black media is explicitly American media. I know we all joke but America does have a culture - and almost all of it has origins in black culture. We cannot separate ourselves from this. Its pivotal and inseparable from the genres and themes you enjoy now by white creators and by not engaging with it you are missing the vital context that so much of what you love you wouldn't have without black folks in one way or another.
You have to start fucking with black made media or you are going to have a worse time, get less out of your art, and be a worse ally. I'm not saying watching Get Out suddenly makes you a good ally, we saw this def isn't the case, but I am saying that you should listen to more rap music probably. You should listen to more jazz and blues and R&B and should watch movies from black directors and read books by black authors. Follow black artists who only draw black characters and lift them up. We have to get more normal about this.
#and theres a lot of racism at play too dont get me wrong#but i'm addressing leftists that are trying to be anti-racist and still do this shit

i keep constructing elaborate political speeches in my mind. as if somehow if i could just talk to pvv-voters compellingly enough, explain to all of em why this is moronic on every level, they'd all suddenly find out that they're actually leftists at heart who just heard a few facts wrong
#as if the racism is an accident instead of the driving force#i spent too long looking at twitter replies and there are a lot of people who voted for wilders so obviously a lot of different types too#theres the naive ones who genuinely seem to regard politics as kind of a game thats being played to the sidelines#you cheer for your team but it doesn't ACTUALLY have an effect on reality. So stop complaining! cheer up!#theres the dumb ones who 'just wanted something different' and who thought 'well the Left screwed things up'#- weve had a centrist/right government for over a decade -#'so lets try the right ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ'#and then theres just the unapologetically islamophobic who DEFINITELY are NOT racist~#they jĂşst want all brown people to go back to 'their own' country#and if you call thĂĄt racist! well then! you are protecting the fundamental rights of muslims right to religion so obviously you also suppor#extremist governments in the middle east! and those are also discriminatory! which somehow makes the pvv nĂłt discriminatory even though#they're drawing a direct comparison between themselves and these extremist governments! so there!#... anyways#very very very minor point but this also once again strengthens my resolve to not reblog or dive into every terrible news story from#usamerican politics despite how guilt-trippy posts about them get;#cause the only people on tumblr ive seen reblog aaanything at all about these results are dutch themselves#ik its not like we have a similar influence to the entire usa at all. but neither does random kentucky county elected official number 9 and#i still hear about them all the time#it makes sense for the circles im in dont get me wrong. just annoying.#joos yaps#delete later

in regards to skin tone variation in DM, i do think a lot of it is colorism/racism too. theres a few characters of color, but not many (just like how theres some fatter characters, but none of them are main characters (even senshi & other dwarves arent really depicted as fat)).
ryoko kui has surface representation for these people, but it lacks much substance, and the brown characters she does draw arent given brown facial features, and are almost always colored with very ashy skin. a lot of them just look like a recolored white person (especially cithis, kaka, & kiki). her random portraits of characters who dont actually appear in the series otherwise tend to be much better about this, but the actual characters that show up and play a part all seem to suffer from this issue.
im not saying kui is like, super-duper racist and we all need to stop reading DM etc etc, but i think its important to recognize and point out everyday/usually-overlooked colorism & racism when we see it, and i know im not the first or only person to point this out about her character designs. if she can draw fat people and actual brown people as part of the portraits, why cant she or wont she do the same for any of the featured characters in the series?
(i know the orcs are fat, but its not a good thing the only consistently fat people are the ones who are a fantasy race based off of violent racial stereotypes, who are also pig people, while none of the main cast of "real" humans are fat except *maybe* the dwarves, who still have small waists and flat stomachs, and the lord of the island, who is depicted as corrupt & decadent)
Well yeah.
I'm just a lore blog so I don't like to get too into real life issues or make assumptions about how the author feels about these subjects. What I talked about on the skin tone post was assumptions as to why she thought it would be important to show skin tone variations on certain races as a character design choice. (In the sense that her character design is very purposeful)
I realize some people over praise Kui's designs when most of it is pretty safe for what it is, but even if it's just a step closer to better representation it's something that's rare to see in anime. So I understand why some people get so excited about it.
It is important to realize this isn't the ideal either (Dark skinned characters with the same features as the others, mostly well build characters on the thinner side) but I personally don't like to criticize these type of stories on what it "could/should have been".
As someone who is fat and not white, I'm happy we get some diversity in dungeon meshi. I hope this opens up the possibility of better character design in the future even if what we got now wasn't perfect.
It shouldn't be the case that this piece of art filled me with so much joy I teared up cause I had never seen someone with a similar body to mine drawn with so much respect and objectivity. But unfortunately that's the world we live in and I don't think it's wrong to be happy for what we get for now while acknowledging it's not perfect and that it should be better.
I'm also super happy the anime chose to make the dark characters even darker.
#Reading dungeon meshi while shaking my head so people know I think the representation could have been better#dunmeshi complaint#I think there's reasons why her more diverse art is outside the main story/main characters#by that I mean PROBABLY some choices were made for whats easier to sell

Also here are my notes. Not all of them make sense anymore but some do lol.
So we all know i love musicals and thats why i chose this topic. i knew from the beginning that i wanted to do smt with musicals for this but i wasnt sure whT to chose. I was debating doing the portrayal of death in musicals but nit all of you answered in time whether thya would trigger anybody so that was out. The second option was costumes in musical whoch wooild make sense for us as fashion forst graders but then u realised i could include that in this.
Now obviously there isnt one way to make a good musical and its always a matter of opinion. And while i do have an opinion, i tried to form a critical opinion on everything.
Theres a lot of stuff that goes into musicals. When you think of a good one you may think of one with good lyrics or a cool story. But theres also stuff that you donât think of at first, that alone couldnâtâmakeâ a good play, but in combination are the most important parts! Like the light design >insert rest of agenda.< (kannst einfach ablesen, was auf der folie steht!)
story wise i think heathers did a great job. Heathers is about a girl who falls in love with a killer. Ups and downs, and just a generally creative and good story with a good and,,more or less sense-making plot. The layout is very good too: a great hook, some happy stuff, scary and then things go down with a bittersweet ending. Im not sure how to explain what makes a good or a bad plot but for reference imma give you cats in comparison as an example of a not so good plot
Talking lyrics, i dont need to think twice to tell you hamilton! Its about alexander the great and his life. There is no way to convince me of anything else. Its a peotic masterpiece which especially brings out alexander hamitons own lyrical genius. Lin Manuel Miranda is a great fan of motifs and mass rhymes, and methaphors. His stylisation is nit only unique but really really good!
but I honestly didnât like the choreo: it was sloppy and ensemble based. They were just rearranging furniture and stuff. There was only one song, âSatisfiedâ that was choreographed well. i do however think that westside storry has an awesome choreo! Westside story is about racism and separation between gangs in the 1960âs new york city. It tells storry but itâs still dancing. Good dancing i mean. They mixed elements of ballet with hip hop, flamenco and countles other kinds of dancing and it came out with perfection
and while the tunes are awesome there, there are better ones. Like Rent. But even better: hadestown. A modern retelling of the story of greek mythology god orpheus and his love interest euridacy. The tunes are everything there! It captured the mood and it was,,, seductive to your ears! The orchestra and composer did a great job! Its not easy to make all instruments work with each other so well. Or in the hights! Awesome composition!
yk what else is great about in the hights? The mood! It has ups and downs. An awesome balance thats brought acroos awesomely! Some would argue that SIX is by far the play with the best mood and donât get me wrong SIX also has a great mood but i dont think they found a good balance for that. The mood is almost exclusively positive for what its worth and it didnt have enough variety
while its not like in the heights had the chance to, they still didnât have the greatest costumes⌠however six didnât have the chance either, but they still did it. Theyâre original and iconic and make the characters! Six tells the story of the six wives of henry the eighth who were divorced, beheaded, died, divirced, beheaded and survived. Of course there goes a lot into costume making which makes this even better Theres a lot to concidder:
-cholortheory
-color psychology
-prises
-fabric
And then of course the require some necessary qualities like
-quickchanges
-dancable
-rechognise characters (especially when one actor plays several) and set the ensemble apart
-makes no noises OR make specific noises
-You need to concidder the period in which the play takes place, and clothes arenât the only complicated part of costumes: wigs/ hair and makeup or facepaint can make a whole look!
And the kind of musical can also influence the kinds of costumes. Some examples are
Types/ways of costumes (I tried to make this as few categories as possibles possible)
(Erklären!!!)
- Normal clothing. Examples: come from away, Illinois, the prom
- Periodically./accurate (unter punkt: seemingly adequate) Examples: newsies, the greatest show, something rotten
- Periodically modernised: Hamilton who had periodical clothes and hair and make up modern,
- Modernised: SIX which was almost robitic, descendants
- Interpretation Starlight express, (where trains and cars wore roler skates), tarzan, and lionking? Possibly? I feel like lionking could be a category of its own though to be honest
- made into outfit:: spongebob, Arielle/the little mermaid, (starlight express)
- Actually just costumes: cats, Shrek, beauty and the beast or wicked
- Inadequate: six
- Portraying: into the woods and parts of starlight express
- Simplified: hamilton
- using the stage: illinois, ride the cyclone
then theres storry telling for which i say cats. cats⌠which is quite ironic. Cats is aboutâŚ. Well⌠cats
They could have done better but i still think itâs the best there is! They TELL their storry. Like in six exept they actually have a present that like,, exists. The lyrics alright i guess but the composing could have had a little more variety, however i did love the stage there as well because it was always the same but still did awesome stuff like the train thingy
talking about stages! I think the stage is such an important part thats often overlooked. There are musicals like dear evan hansen, the prom, be more chill or tuck everlasting that have a variety of different sets with self driving probs but itâs just actually different things and not very creative. There are two versions of good stages. One that take you in the setting, but that only works if your setting is a special place. There are many musicals that made this one very well. My top two are frozen on ice and tarzan they are actually in an icepit with icedanging and stuff and in tarzan they swing around like actual monkeys and spray you with water and stuff. The second type is when there is one element thats used through the whole show and that makes the setting. This is also called a Uni-set. One of the best examples for this is probably the grey cube: Falsettos. Itâs about aids and judaism (?)
But whats part of the stage design is the light design which is overlooked even more than the stage itself. I know i said said that i didnt like the stage of dear evan hansen but it does have an awesome light design! In general the technical aspects and also the sound design there is really good! Dear evan hansen is about a boy who pretends to have been friends with a kid that recently passed.
then theres what i call the manipulation aspect which is choices that were purposely made but not pointed out. I think that hamilton did a great job here too. A lot of people talking at once when to much is going on in his life and only him talking when he makes the dumbest decision in his life. Walking in straight lines when thinking simple and good but in circles when itâs complicated and a lot. That sort of stuff.
the last aspect is performance. Its hard to rate this since for stage musicals the actors and therefore the performance changes constantly but i think the original tuck everlasting cast did a great job! Tuck everlasting is about a girl, Winnie, who meets an immortal family
something that i honestly probably shouldnt count but gives bonus points is: every musical should have at least one singer tht seems to not even be able to miss a tune if they tried. Sure all singers should be good i love when theres just this one over the top adelle level person. The greatest showman has one and its epic, like,,, goosbumbs throughout the whole song ânever enoughâ with the swedish nightingale. The greatest showman is about Pineas Barnum- an actual guy- who believed in true happiness and that as long as a smile is real, it doesnât matter if the âcauseâ of that smile is. He was the reason for the saying âfreakshowâ
however those are only the best in their aspects but if youâre asking what the BEST MUSICAL IS I definitely say Newsies! im not saying that because i like it -which i do- but actually critically thinking!
Newsies is a Musical based on the newsboys strike of 1899 where the Newsies working for the World and the Journal held the first ever successful strike in america that was organised by kids in history. The story centres Centers around a Newsboy Jack Kelly and his new friend Davey. They start a strike against the owners of the Newspapers and stop selling because they raised the prices for the papers even tho they have more than enough money, when the Newsboys barely make a living. Davey tries to talk him out of it at first but doesnât succeed. Eveantually he gives in and actually gets really invested in the strike himself in the end.
Now your prolly thinking: why? Well. This presentation is far from over. (That was a lie. Its almost done dont worry)
Lyrics are honestly great! I have zero complaints about that. If anything, i have complements! Sure, its not as good as Mirandas works but, lets be honest: what is? I think the lyrics were still more than A+! The story is simply great. i personally think its harder to make something that already exists or happened into a storry. It requires much more creativity despite already having a âtemplateâ you have to make the whole thing fit and make sense with your own thing and still be accurate and theres a lot about this actually. Newsies did great with that! Itâs composed geniusly too. Menken/Ortega outdid himself by far with it. The choreo? Bombastic! Donât even get me started. Prolly the best Iâve even seen! And Iâm not just saying that. I actually donât think iâve ever seen anything choreographed this well before. They have dance breaks in songs, DESPITE DANCING THE WHOLE TIME anyways
Tunes? Through the roof top. (Haha get itâ cuz of santa feâ laugh>:()
The mood was great but it had a balance! It was introduced with a good mood, making u invested but still,,, deep and sad.
You just need one picture -and this is gonna sound really bad for my case but- this[bild zeigen] is all you need to know about the show
While the costumes arenât too original theyâre definitely iconic and not too bad.
Story telling is fantastic! There are some talking to yourself/the audience and telling the story! Some telling it WITHIN the plot (which they did a gooood job making it seem natural and not forced info) and some middle grounds. I really liked it. They also blurred the lines there perfectly.
Stages! I love using newsies as an example for a good stage because they have BOTH kinds of a good stage! (sorta) its one element that is rearanged to make a whole different setting. They only needed some little elements that werenât always the same. Add a few tables and chairs? Diner. Ad fancier chairs? Pulitzers office. Typewriter? Boom! Editors office. I also think that the metall stuff did a really good job reminding u where and when exactly this is taking place and that that combination of time and place: lower manhattan in 1899 wasnt the best mix of time and place to live in so that sorta counts for the first type.
We dont even need to talk about the âmanipulationâ aspect bc i wouldnt even know where to start. Im not even sure it was all on purpose. What character has what choreo, the double meaning of some things, the reprises, the rhymes and so much more
They have medda and jeremy jordan as jack kelly so they have not one but TWO of those perfect singers!
And Ive honestly never seen a bad performance of newsies . So yes. Chritically, Newsies is the best musical
Anyway my favourite is and always will be
Starlight express
Despite not being on place one in even ine of these

I cant speak for op, but the things youve said on this post have been really rubbing me the wrong way and I want to explain why, although there's so much that its kind of overwhelming.
You are jumping to a lot of conclusions about what OP thinks and is saying about "gifted kid" autistics, and you're not understanding the original post at all. Listen, I was a gifted kid myself who didnt get diagnosed until high school. Yes, it was hard and painful and traumatizing. But heres the thing. The adults in my life believed I had potential. They liked me. They thought I was a good kid. They thought I was intelligent. Yes the expectations placed on me were unfair. But I was liked and in some ways, respected.
This is a vastly different experience from autistic kids who struggle to adapt, who are visible as autistic, who are thought of as lesser because they cant compare to the neurotypical standard. In our society, if youre weird but able to catch up to or surpass the NT standard, you may be seen as a freak, but ultimately your accomplishments are awarded for being able to conform to the system. If youre behind, you're not just a freak. You're a burden. You are a broken cog in the machine. There is so much more hatred for people who cant or dont conform than for people who can and do.
The way we are treated IS different. And I know that once gifted kid burnout hits, you become a hated burden too, bc Im living that rn. But even if we end up similar, theres a HUGE difference in our early childhoods, the most formative years. That matters, quite a bit.
Even after gifted kid burnout, our ability to mask dictates how people treat us. The less we can fit in, the worse we are treated. Its not a matter of jealousy or infighting or oppression olympics. It is a simple fact about being a part of any minority group. It's insane to me that you think this is a white discussion because the same basic principles have been discussed in regards to racism, homophobia, transphobia, you name it. Just google colorism, for example.
All this is not to say there is "some vast and incomprehensible difference" between autistics based on how well they can confirm and mask. The difference is quite comprehensible, and it should be a source of solidarity, not division. We should be able to recognize eachothers needs and how we can support eachother and help those who are more susceptible to violence.
I would also like to note that oppression is not a sliding scale of more oppressed or less oppressed. There are a lot of factors that play into how we are treated, and while the severity of our oppression isnt equal, to just measure based on that is foolhardy because it is a huge spectrum with tons of unique situations. You seem to have at least some grasp on that, since you brought up how autistic people of colors experiences and the experiences of autistic ppl of different genders can be different. These are often large factors in how an autistic person is ultimately treated, but that doesn't mean other factors like a childs ability to conform dont factor in.
And as for OP saying she feels alienated from other autistics, no shit! When you talk about your own unique experiences, experiences that are not often talked about, only for someone to derail it to make it about a broader issue, its disrespectful because it dilutes the point of the post. Yes, our struggles as gifted kids are worth talking about too, but the point of making a specific post about a specific issue is to have a specific discussion around that issue and what we can do. Tacking on "Dont forget about me!" distracts from the important discussion at hand.
Having specialized discussions about a specific aspect of a thing is normal. Its not helpful to try to solve the big picture all at once. You have to take it in bits and pieces, and if someone wants to talk abt a different aspect, great! But it should be its own post.
I have seen this happen countless times. I have seen it happen to OP. Whats worse, Ive seen a lot of posts where not only does someone derail OP, but they then say that her not including them in her original post means she thinks lesser of them, that its an intentional ommission out of malice or bigotry. I cannot speak for op, but I imagine Id feel alienated too if that was constantly happening to me!
I do not see anywhere in this post where OP said late diagnosed, masking autistics are less autistic or less disabled. Those are words you typed out and added to the post. If you think that I or OP saying autistic people who cant mask are treated worse than those who can is the same as saying they are more autistic or more disabled, you need to learn better reading comprehension and check yourself. There is nuance to this discussion that you do not seem to be getting. Please try to consider this in good faith and learn.
On one last note, I am deeply uncomfortable by how you brought up gender in this post. First of all, there was no need to say "females" when you meant to say people brought up as female. Second of all, yes, it is true that autistic diagnostic criteria is built upon white autistic cis boys, and that autistic poc and autistic women are often not diagnosed because of this. But to lump every autistic child into either afabs or amabs is transphobic, inaccurate, and erases the experiences of trans and gnc children. If you can recognize that theres intersectionality between gender, race, and neurodivergency you can recognize that theres intersectionality when a child is trans too. To reduce an autistic child to either "seen as male" or "seen as female" is gross, biologically deterministic, and literal terf rhetoric. You should be ashamed of yourself.
there is a bad toxic part of me that feels petulantly bitterly resentful of certain kinds of autism advocacy online. like, "it's okay if you're late diagnosed, it's okay if you've learned how to mask your traits, you still deserve support :3" stuff. i know it's my problem, because i know many people are genuinely hurting & need to be told this, but i feel like i'm being left out and i just want to bark and growl. i was diagnosed at age 5, i can't mask away the strange offputting parts of my speech patterns and body language, i can barely take care of myself. this is why i snap whenever my neurodiversity posts get noticed by "former gifted kid" type autists, because while you were having unfair expectations placed on you by doting teachers who were proud of your academic accomplishments i was being talked around and talked down to by people who didn't think i could understand them.
i don't actually know what i would want done in order to make me feel more included. im just snapping uselessly at people with different problems than me, it's an issue with me, and i should probably stop.

So Yeah.. Um.. Iâve finally making a review? of This Show. Iâm sorry for the hold up with this.. Iâve just been through a lot of stuff lately, but now, yeah I still feel a lil crappy but imma push through. Idk if this is even a review i just wanna talk about this show. Anyways, Lets Talk about Alfred J Kwak!
So, for some backround, Alfred J Kwak was an animated tv series thatâs actually counts as an Anime funny enough. the reason being that This was a colabration between Dutch and Japan, so yeah, it counts as an anime. Also I think it was based off of a theater show last time iâve remembered. Is there anything speical about this show? Well, Yeah, it is actually. This 1980â˛s show is well, pretty openly left leaning when it comes to its messages. Ie Anti Fascist, Capitalist, has an âinterracial coupleâ (imma get to the race thing later i promise) and a canon trans charater who plays a lot in alot of episodes. Okay so, Before I share all my opinions and thoughts about the show along with my first impressions of the show versus my impressions after watching this show, Iâmma just gonna briefly talk about some of the plot and such. (dont worry, I wont really spoil this show for you folks but i will be skimming through some episodes and just talking about a small handful.) So, The lore of the story is that thereâs a kind hearted Duck named Alfred, and he tends to sometimes daydream about stuff a lot. Long with his many travels, thereâs his Adoptive father Named Henk the mole and Some of Alfredâs friends, such as Oilie the stork,Winnie, and some others. The show itself has some episodes where there could be slice of life to being about anti war. The show can be a bit all over the place and even nuts in some cases but still can be enjoyable and wholesome!
Now funny enough, I know that in some 80â˛s and 90â˛s media, there has always been some form of left leaning messaging, Ie, War is bad, dont judge others, something something Pick any episode from captian planet. But with Alfred J Kwak, it doesnât really sugar coats anything when it comes to being anti Capitalist and Anti Fascist, Heck The Vilain of the show was Literaly HITLER!! Oh yea thereâs also some thing about immagration too. Some of my First Impressions of the show is that, Alfred and Winnie travel to places while fighting nazis and stuff but instead Itâs Just about Henk and Alfred, which isnt a bad thing, however i did felt a little disappointed. Also I thought That Dolf was gonna be more of a Looming Threat for Alfred and his friends, since heâs well, Freaking Hitler and all, I thought Dolf would put everything in his power to get rid of Winnie and her little brother or something. Idk, I was actually thinking there would be some more conflict or something. Another thing, I do have a bit of an issue when doing the whole animal racism thing. Even tho I am glad that theyâre not using species as a replacement of race (cause Oh boy, It personally rubs me off the wrong way and might does more harm than good) Although, I still believe, that the show could of made a lot more sense if the world the show takes place in is a world where ducks are just the âhumansâ of the world where theres all kinds of Duck folk and stuff. Cause honestly I think it would feel a little less jarring when it comes to bringing in the issues of race. Cause idk, why they the people of waterland, would feel âuncomfyâ over ducks who are black, I mean, yeah sure it could be xenaphobia instead of racism but still, It feels a little bit jarring and hyporical that they would be okay with other random animals and bizare creatures but get weirded out by Black Ducks.
(Again I guess it could be a Xenaphobia thing idk) Also, I felt a little bummed out that we dont really see much of Winnie nor see her play much important roles in the show. idk man, I felt a little disappointed but hey, At least Winnie is cute tho! I really wished We would see more of her.
Also Another thing that Kinda confused me is one of Alfredâs friends. Like okay in the episode, Alfredâs first birthday, we get to see Hannes and Wannas were once friends with Alfred, but then later in the next episode with the whole time skip i think? Hannes and Wannes end up being Friends Dolf and made fun of him cause he has a father as a mole. Which made me go, BRUH, DUDE, YOU WERE VIBIN AND CHILLIN WITH ALFRED AND HENK IN THE LAST EPISODE!? WHAT ARE YOU TALKIN ABOUT!? Idk why they heck they stopped being his friend just to be friends with this Random school yard bully kid. Maybe its ether from peer pressure or they just wants to be friends with him now cause.. idk man.. Your guess its good as mine. Also in the later episodes, one of them just disappeared out of thin air while the other Which was, I think Wannes ended up becoming a rich racist with family members who lives in the stolen land of Black ducks now. So yeah.. That happened. Some Other things to ramble about is Oilie, and honestly, I really like him and find him pretty intreasting when it comes to rep. okay so, Depending on which dub from different languges, Oilie is ether confirmed to be a lesbian or a trans guy. Heâs not like just some background charater, he actually plays apart in a few episodes even won for ruler of Waterland. Oilie as a charater is really sweet and wholesome along with still being Alfredâs friend even in adulthood. And he seems like a loving husband and father! Honestly yeah, I Personally think Alfred J Kwak was a good show! i feel like you guys should most def give it a watch. I felt like there were some stuff Iâve missed and im sorry that this was a jumbled mess of a post I hope everyone was able to understand my thoughts somewhat. I might prob make a sequal post of this in cause any Alfred J Kwak fan comes to me and have us talk out stuff. but for how hope you guys enjoy your day

(1/2) hey Adrian can I rant? nothing deep but I need to talk to someone who hasnât got brain rot? itâs going to be a little long, sorry for that đ
to preface: Indian here. now we all know about the bar being low for decent Korean idols. I wanna talk about fans of colour who accept (gratefully) racist bullshit. there is a show called fluttering India (2015) where 6 kpop idols came to India. 2 of them were shineeâs minho and exoâs suho. Hereâs what happened during the show. 1. kpop fans protested that their pure baby idols shouldnât go to dirty and scary india where they can get Ebola. 2. the PD gave the wrong schedule to the fans so they wouldnât greet them at the airport. 3. Some fans still figured out the right time and waited for 12 hours at the airport. When the idols came, not one fan was allowed to greet them. They were threatened that if they did - the show would not be shot. 4. one guy came with a lot of kimchi because what is Indian food if not unhealthy and dirty. 5. One guy from the kr embassy assisted them to their hotel and one guy used the washroom and needed help from the embassy guy in finding the flush. Because we use manual flushes here. 6. They went to the slums! and Kyu Hoon (super junior) says âNow this is the real india!â. I think it was this show (canât remember) where one of the guys got spoons because he thought that there will not be one place in the country where heâll find a spoon. ya know, since we eat with our hands đ 8. they were at the Delhi gate when one middle-aged guy approached them to take a pic of him and his wife. comments section? âOmg Iâm so embarrassed no one recognised themâ, âIâm so glad they took the photo gratefullyâ like were they supposed to throw a tantrum? the entire comments section was filled with âsuch a great show! Iâm embarrassed that no one recognised them! They should come to India now because every Indian knows their nameâ like bro did you not see the racism?
(2/2) when you search india Korea on YouTube, you get âdo Korean guys like Indian womenâ, âwhat do Korean guys think about Indian womenâ, âreacting to Indian women - women in scantily laid clothes dancing in Bollywood and then calling it Indian culture đâ, how do the girls react? âSo proud they like our cultuređđâ, âI wish to date a guy like youâ If they find a video on an Indian girl dating a Korean guy - âomg how did you do it? Will they like me - Iâm dark skinnedâ like omg whereâs your self-respect, when did self-worth become synonymous with being liked by guys from another country? It physically pains my heart to see young Indian girls (and black girls and girls from every community of colour) just letting themselves and their culture be disrespected. they are basing their self worth off idols who canât give a shit and this is going to do so much long term damage to them. Iâm so tired of seeing these idols and the entire industry actually disrespect every culture on the map and every single person is always supposed to assume that that not a single person in the entire industry has no clue on any culture but in the same length, all of us are supposed to tolerate every single bullshit thrown our way, liking a group and then wondering if the people in this group view our community as human beings. and then finding out that they donât! And then having to listen from everyone and even people in your own community to not take it seriously. at this point, I plan on deleting every single kpop song from my library and forget all of this like Iâm tired. Sorry for putting this on you. I donât expect you to write an essay, I just really need to vent to someone who isnât all about forgiving idols for their âmistakesâ which at this point is my entire friend group.
Theres a lot here and I absolutely agree with everything thing you said this may be multiple rbs just to give a full scope of what i think about it so bear with me. But honestly a lot of these girls have internalized self hatred at this point like i knew girls irl that would say stuff like that like they would obsess over what men from other countries who had either no interest in them or didnt even know they existed and that was always wild to me? Like why do that to yourself? I understand liking a celebrity that happens to be a certain race/ethnicity but some of these people are obsessed with these men BECAUSE theyre that race and thats very different and dangerous imo!
Now onto the them actuallyâŚprotesting them going to india..thats a WHOLE lot like jesus how racist do you have to be to even do some shit like that like i cant even wrap my head around that my god. Also like âim so embarrassed no one recognized themâ that shit would happen in America too why even just say that about India specifically? Do they think every other country also knows these idols? And thats not even me down playing their fame a lot of people genuinely just dont pay attention to kpop so they donât know them.
But yeah we definitely need to address the self hate that so many brown and black people have where they just like u said let themselves and their cultures get disrespected this was a good ask and im sorry that it took me a bit to respond to it!

Sell me on TMA i have all the time in the world rn by my executive dysfunction refuses to start things without help.
first off i really feel the struggle youre having here starting new things is. awful. i just cant tbh
okay: why to listen to TMA, under a cut because why not.
tldr? its good quality, low emotional investment is demanded of you to start due to the simple nature of its algorithm and the gradual story/world building, the writing is interesting and the episodes are short with good atmosphere. if spooky gets to you too badly, dont worry because theres a trigger warning list somewhere on the internet, and the writing is respectful.
tma selling points:
its good and consistent quality from the beginning. its a simple answer but honestly the hardest part of getting into new stuff FOR ME is the first few episodes where im Put Off by trying to understand this new tone, all while the creators are still figuring out what theyre doing which... makes for a rough start sometimes.
tma has a very simple algorithm. dude named jonathan sims is working at a place that collects peoples accounts of âpossibly supernatural encountersâ, heâs recording himself reading off the story, (or its a recording direct from the person), he tells you what research theyâve done on the subject, the end. here and there you get to hear about the stuff thats going on at the place jon works at, building a second layer of storytelling to the whole thing. its fun, its easy to listen to, andÂ
you dont have to get super invested right away. just turn on this podcast where they, in like idk twenty minutes?? tell you about something Scary that happened to Someone Else and that has no effect on you or your life but still has all the chilling atmosphere and Very good writing that makes it an enjoyable time. i mean YEAH it gets scarier and more personal later but by then youre ready for it.
this one is a personal note but, like, i get it. its intimidating seeing the fandom being So Passionate because it gives the message that you too!! have to gear up to get super into this wonderful fantastic compelling emotional heartbreaking story uwu. nothing wrong with fandom being passionate thats....... what its there for...... but that specifically has made it hard for me to get into new things before.
just let yourself enjoy it at your own pace tbh. i really enjoyed it before i got overwhelmed by fandom stuff and took a very long break but like. block all the tma tags, hit play, and have fun. thats my advice.
you get to hear someone try to sound spooky while reading off the required licencing info at the end of the podcast and its pretty funny but endearing
the writing is good. the voice acting is good. jonny sims knows his stuff and he really enjoys what he does and it comes out in what he creates.
if you dont like one or more of the stories/statements? look up the triggers list for the episodes to get mostly spoiler free warnings. or skip the statement part of the episodes you dont Vibe With and just listen to the bits at the end where you get to hear about jonathan sims and friends wacky adventures. yes the creator is named jon sims and the person he voices in this podcast is also named jon sims. sorry.
others have said this but i will too: its respectful horror.Â
no sexual assault, misogyny, racism, able-ism, homophobia, etc is used as a punchline or as the shock factor. aka the main reason i dont care about the comedy or horror or... lots of other movie genres. its just not funny. literally the first statement that even mentions sex is this guy going âyeah we were both totally on board but she seemed to be going through some personal stuff and so i kept checking she was cool with it, i wanted to be respectfulâ and then cutaway to afterwards.
or like. theres a statement with a characters with a skin picking disorder WHICH is like. hm. a triggering topic for a lot of people but also my favorite statement there is. as someone with a skin picking disorder, i was Not Expecting to have to confront This Subject and so was a little taken aback at first like. no one talks about this stuff yanno. but i personally didnt find it disrespectful, or misinformed, or too triggering. which. idk man good for jonny for making that Work.
executive dysfunction hates starting new things like oil and water so if you dont listen to it because your brain simply is Not ready to lease space to a new podcast yet? thats cool too. if you do though i hope you enjoy it because its a good podcast and it makes you think which like, right now? i think we could all use more stuff in our lives that keeps our brains active and thinking.Â
#tma#the magnus archives#why to listen to tma#m#have a nice day anon#the real irony here is that im telling someone w exec dysfunction to read a long post#im sorry i dont capitalize or punctuate properly fjaksdljk#Anonymous

answering all hawks asks
i choose to answer this separately simply because i think it's important to me and not promote the stigma of âsounding blackâ or any other stereotypes like that. while there are most common ways such as AAVE (formerly known as ebonics), not everyone from one race will sound and act the same. while i will not ignore that yes, race does sometimes play in how you act or talk, but no one does it the same as another person. to lump us altogether and give us a âlookâ is degrading and disgusting. black people are not just one person, and if you think a foreign group or culture is lower than yours because itâs not the same, you need to reevaluate yourself. the asks on the topic i will be answering are the ones in regard to this screenshot.
if you guys didnt read in the post, some people made some distasteful ignorant comments about important black community topics. as someone from the black community, many things in and outside of our community has bothered me. whether it be racism, colorism, police brutality etc. i am the biggest believer and supporter of uniting the black community no matter what hair texture, what their kids will look like or how dark their skin is -- and it doesnt just stop there. Â
-> on the topic of the black community, here are some BLM petitions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
+ protest safely 1, 2!
-> Zeno Robinson is such an amazing man, and not to mention he also went to the premiere dressed as hawks. his adoration for the characters he plays always shines through, no matter what role you put him in. you may have seen him in young justice as victor stone (cyborg), kimetsuâs no yaiba genya shinazugawa and many more! the way he embodies the characters he plays should never EVER be shadowed because of his skin color. this is for every black voice actor too. if anyone wants to make poor âjokesâ about him not âsounding blackâ then you go fuck a fork. zeno did not show up to sound black, he showed up to play a character (which he does sUPERBLY at, and this is coming from someone who doesnt like hawks). if you think any type or form of stereotyping is okay, then i ask you kindly to escort yourself from my blog and never look back. i dont want your support.Â
-> i have heard about the Miruko (with her v.a Anairis Quinones) situation, so i will be touching on that too since both of âdoesnt sound blackâ and âsounds whiteâ has been tossed around. theres a BIG difference between not liking someoneâs voice, and relating it back to their skin color. i can see the point of we were expecting more of a more punchier tone (saying this because of the relation and excitement like weâve seen in her interactions with bakugo) but if youre saying she sounds white, you can go eat a spoon. again, Zeno and Anairis didnt show up to âactâ their race. they showed up for the job, and were hired for it. i love both of their voices so much and i love them, they dont deserve this.
i love my people, and i will stand for them because it's the right thing to do. i want my followers to see and understand why it's important to be aware of the different communities around them. without further adieu, i will get started. everything is under the cut (answered from oldest to the newest)!
TW: pseudo racism (microaggression), fandom discourse.
*Hawksâ English V.A (Zeno Robinson) & Hawks for reference.Â
*Mirukoâs English V.A (Anairis Quinones) & Miruko for reference.
~ Asks Iâve answered that I think are insightful on the Hawks situation (1, 2) ~
Anonymous said:
I would like to add onto the Hawks situation if that's ok? For those who don't know, Zeno Robinson is a black man and voices Hawks. When his English voice was revealed in trailers A LOT of fans commented how PERFECT his voice was. So Zeno literally embodies what makes Hawks' Hawks for some people. Also fans have also compared and drew Hawks as Egyptianesque gods. So to sit down and say/accept someone saying things like 'he doesn't sound black' and 'George [FLOYD] is a regular dude' is not only
A microagression and a blantant show of lack of compassion/support for a character that is a part of your safe space if you come home and thirst about hawks, but don't want to make your safe space 'political' by posting about police brutality. I'm not trying to make this explanation too 'political' but fans have to think what it's like for Hawk's VA to see someone like him getting murdered almost everyday in media for no acceptable reason and then have fans that choose to turn the other way.
- this is exactly the right point. people will not open their eyes to see what is wrong here. whether it be mocking a black actorâs voice acting, an ignorant comment about George Floyd, or ignoring black petitions to help the community. its subtle shit like that gives us and letâs us know that there is still ignorance and that these people dont hide it. it's disrespectful and disgusting.Â
the writerâs who said the George Floyd comment has since now apologized, but god that makes me so angry. people actively make a safe space that is supposed to be for EVERYONE not welcome by promoting stuff like that. its gross, it's disgusting, and people need to see that theyre actions are wrong. furthermore, if anyone thinks inappropriate race âjokesâ are somehow funny, i will not be associating. i will not waste me energy on people who refuses to get the point.
Anonymous said:
Bro Zeno is an angel and hawks voice is fucking phenomenal, it's the only dubbed voice I've ever liked tbh. They don't deserve him. and WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT I'M SORRY HUH
- I FUCKING KNOW! letting that shit slide is beyond fucking disrespectful. i dont fucking like hawks but i will absolutely fight for zeno. that disrespectful isnt ânot importantâ -- these people are actively ruining safe spaces for fucking everyone! let me be fucking damned if thats not âimportant enoughâ for you. đ
Anonymous said:Â
If you like Hawks at all, The LEAST you can do is not say or stand for things like 'George [FLOYD!!] is just a regular dude' and 'his voice doesn't sound black'. Don't be a part of the reason that makes Zeno's daily life and experiences harder than what they should be. 3/3 This goes for the amazing Mirko as well but I'll stop for now.
THIS!
seeing stuff that is hurtful, and it is damaging. people need to wake up and realize that anything can trigger anyone for any reason. people need to wake up and realize that âitâs not importantâ BECAUSE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO MANY PEOPLE! considering everything that is happening, this type of stuff will be deep rooted into someone who comes across it. i know what it's like to be blind about color until one situation flips your thinking on a switch.
for the Miruko situation, i remember seeing stuff about it. people need to understand that people are their own out of their skin color. we are people are people out of our skin color. let that sink in. if you dont like their voices outside of expecting them to sound âblackâ then that is completely fine. if its racially charged there is no excuse.

explorers of arvus: port draavos / 3.23.20
and now for something different: the misadventures of the hopeâs guard
so for the past 3 years ive been in an ongoing dnd5e campaign run by michael called Explorers of Arvus, which is super cool and super fun and i love it a whole lot! and back when i used twitter, iâd liveblog our sessions and that ended up being my way of note taking bc im otherwise quite terrible at it
after i stopped using twitter, that had the side effect of me not keeping notes anymore, so i kind of didnt remember any of the past couple sessions? especially because its hard for all 6 of us to have like, schedules that make sense, so thereâs a lot of distance between each session.
and then i realized i can just take notes shitpost-liveblog style and then just⌠like, put it on tumblr or whatever. iâll probably make like, ill probably port over my old liveblog threads onto here sometime but until then: we played d&d today! Time For Shenanigans
some quick context: weâre called the Hopeâs Guard, but our unofficial silly name is Chunch Bunch the Dungeon Master is Michael aka Skalter aka @openlyeightâ Taure Mâea is a half-elf paladin played by Penn aka @penn-nameâ and she is doing her best. Sieron Astora is a human (secretly half-orc) wizard played by Jorb aka @jorbs-palaceâ and heâs basically the protagonist, and also starting to be gay for Charlie Charlie Wickfield is a halfling wild magic sorcerer played by Leos aka us and sheâs known for being very chaotic, lighting things on fire, and having a high charisma score but no idea how to articulate anything Thorne is a half-orc warlock played by Solar aka @craftlandsâ and he grew up in nonsense land aka the feywild and i love him, and also heâs fine-tuned to be able to snipe the shit out of anything within a 600 ft radius of him w/ eldritch blast Silje Cottonwood is a tabaxi blood hunter played by Nyx aka @patheticnyasâ and he is very edgy but also a cat and is VERY gay for Thorne our general goal is to stop some motherfucker called Halvkar / the God-King from⌠i dunno, being a huge bitch? he dumped zombies all over Arvus and thatâs a problem. its late at night and i just played d&d for several hours
AND SO: WE PLAYED D&D FOR THE FIRST TIME OF THE DECADE
last time:
chunch bunch beat up the cult and now weâre FINALLY GOING TO ARVUS, YALL (also we picked up a cat) (his name is silly. its silje but literally pronounced like âsillyâ) sieron hatched a child! so like, we have a lil coatl friend now OH RIGHT SIERON HAS A MOM. sierons mom is here charlie and sieron attempted to have a gay scene but charlie went off script by being â[internal dial up noises]â when sieron said something really heartwarming weâre in fort draavos! and now weâre picking up sidequests and just kinda wanderin around. woo!
NOW, ON EXPLORERS OF ARVUS:
thorne and charlie discuss the morals of necromancy, and also the concept of â[charlie voice] necromancy racismâ
EVERYONE IS BONDING WITH CHARLIE TODAY taure gave charlie the rune of wound closure and told her to stay safe and im :keralisweep:
accidentally started a cutscene bc charlie is very loud in a temple, oop. some priests(?) glared at us and walked off and im sure they wont stab us later! ingrid the adorkable friend has been having reoccuring nightmares about a dark figure w/ black robes standing above a bleeding platform high in the air over a swamp and summoning undead, so weâre gonna go hit that up! it MIGHT be like, a vision of the past, but even if so thats still pretty relevant also thereâs a cool half orc lady named undril silvertusk who weâre gonna escort to camp vengeance! sheâs awesome
thorne: i was in a dungeon once charlie: you got better! thorne: [points] i DID get better!
summer: can i roll to steal the laser gun? michael: if you find the dragon, you can try to steal the laser gun.
solar: guys, we have to protect the lesbians at all costs. and if one of them turns out to be an ancient gold dragon and curses my dick, then so be it
taure: dont worry, i wont let you die. ingrid: âŚokay :D!
THE HOT SPRINGS EPISODE IS FINALLY HAPPEN sorry thorne. charlie dabbed at a buff tiefling charlie is too fucking short for the hot springs. also sheâs like 50% hair so she is Dying
time for food! we ran into an adventuring party that is apparently based off one michael was part of in another campaign, and i think the buff tiefling is his? also taure ordered samples of everything and then got Super plastered
thorne rolled really good to infodump hardcore about arvus artifacts and it is cute and id die for him oop michael asked for all our passive perception
omg theres an introduction of a ~mysterious character~ and originally theyre supposed to just sneak off but then michael realized theyâd be genuinely interested in thorneâs infodumping so now theyre just Lurking
the opposite of a slow burn is a fast explosion
[everyone gets distracted quoting realtime fandub]
oops taure is depressed! ALSO SHE BROKE UP WITH SIGRA??? charlie is VERY bad at emotional support so sheâs just âuhhhhhhhhhâ, but thankfully thorne catches her before she faceplants into her potatoes CAN ANY OF US CARRY TAURE??? SHEâS IN FULL ARMOUR AND ALSO PASSED OUT
michael: what do you do with the bottle? summer: eat it
charlie get haircut! WITH SWORDS. her hair is now like midway down her back so its like, a bit shorter than when she first met everybody silje: do you want this [the hair he cut off]? charlie: UH WHAT WOULD I .. DO WITH IT⌠silje: âŚmake a rope? charlie: yknow what i might as fucking well, who knows if id need spare hair
penn: i dont think taure is horny tho! summer: ITS OK, SILJE IS HORNY ENOUGH FOR ALL OF US
michael: Sieron, Str of 10- action hero Thorne, str of 14- twink nyx: silly, str of 13- cat solar: i guess thorne is a hunk. michael: thorne is a twunk summer: the t in thorne stands for twunk
taure, extremely drunk and sad: CHARLIE IM SORRY I MADE YOU BURN DOWN THAT LIBRARY (sieron and thorne carried her to bed and she ended up apologising a whole lot about literally everything)
jorb/sieron wants to know if charlieâs hair has any lingering wild magic nonsense!
thorneâs staring out the window! and also discord kept censoring solar when they were trying to say that THIS ENTIRE AREA IS WITHIN THORNEâS RANGE. solar: i could shoot someone at the thundering boar tavern [from our tavern] jorb: [as thorne] WRONG TAVERN, IDIOT!
solar called soldier:76 a cornfucker and it blindsided me so hard
michael: silje cottonwood, dark edgy blood hunter. [flops over on camera] NOTICE MEEEEEEEE
WEâRE NOW MAKING NONSTOP FORT DRAAVOS PUNS. i had to go clean pepperâs litter and when i came back they were STILL GOING
thorne pets silje on accident bc silje ws doing an anime squat on the balconyâs railing and is now having a crisis of âis it appropriate to pet the furry?â AND ALSO SILLY IS VERY SOFT
jorb & michael: [say something cursed] summer: [looking around frantically] I DONT HAVE AN IMPROVISED WEAPON solar: Allow Me. [brandishes baseball bat on camera]

man in relation to that last post, and its not really related to this blog outside of it but its weighing on my mind
ive seen two things lately about audiences and content creators, specifically those of the Edgy kind. And, as a disclaimer, i am both LGBT and mixed race and oh, also disabled, and i am not saying âyes their content is offensive But you should care about them moreâ like ofc im gonna care more about the people who are hurt by the spreading of harmful shit but. anyway
whats been on my mind is the fact that these creators create, with all their edginess and their discarding of feelings for Facts and whatnot forms these audiences that, even if mild in their reactions, have and hold no place for feelings, and people who they disagree with. Even the ones who just have âComedicâ content thats laughing at minorities and whatnot, it breeds things in the audience - and attracts peole whoâre already infected by it - that focus on laughing and making fun of people and tearing people down who they just mildly disagree with. We all knew that, but specifically whats weighing on my mind is that........... When you do that, theres no backing down. If you realise youve been wrong somewhere and the people youre attacking have been right, if you realise you dont want to make this content anymore, if you realise youâre tired or stressed, or the environment youve created has gotten too toxic, how are you going to back down? People look to you for their vicious entertainment, people look to you for things to tear apart however lightly, to Roast or to offend or to seriously hurt, and if you arent providing fresh bodies to that audience, theyll take it from you. You have to either be sure when you go into creating edgy content that youll be doing this for the rest of your life, or youre ok with being the subject of what youre inflicting on others when you stop. That, or you have to hope to god that your audience gets bored of you before you call it quits
like...... It all boils down to this. Edginess attracts two main kinds of people, people who are clueless about the harm theyre doing and looking to parrot others/who want to make people uncomfortable or upset/who want to make people feel like they feel, thats one category, and the other main category is genuinely fucked up people who like to see the hurt and the offence it causes, who want women/other minorities to be uncomfortable at best or unwelcome or feel in danger at worst, people who show through their humour that theyre willing to act in ways that hurt people for fun. The first category, people who dont get the harm it causes and just want to shock people (which, as a person clueless to microaggressions and racism and why things actually offend people could either be just surprise Or serious harm they label as shock), theyre clueless about the power youre breeding in them and the cluelessness, but the second group of people are actively harmful. Either way, when you finally need your audience to be understanding, when you need to post your âmy mental health is going downhill and i cant ignore it anymoreâ video or post, youre stuck with these people, and obviously others outside those categories, but youre stuck with them. The people who are willing to beat down already beaten down minorities? Who reduce everyone to a set of stereotypes and if they disagree with any quality you have youre their target? Who think doxxing and swatting are funny, who think harrassment and death threats are just edgy and, well, you know edgy is totally fine right?? Edgy is good right?? what are you going to do?
Maybe when youre in your hour of need your audience will have a change of heart, but if you attract an audience who follow you for and approve of your disregard for peoples needs, who make fun of and attact people saying they need help (âi suffer at the hands of oppressionâ âim disabledâ âim a targeted minorityâ âive suffered from harassmentâ etc) what do you think theyre going to do to you when you dont want to play the game anymore?Â
Like theres a leap in logic here between being an edgy content creator and definitely reaching a point where you wont do it anymore. Yes, maybe youll be edgy for the rest of your life....... But as someone who was an edgy teenager slinging around slurs constantly and racist and homophobic and transphobic shit...... The end to that was the singular logical conclusion for me as someone trying to be a good person. When you actually learn about these things, or when you start to live it as an lgbt person or you reconnect with your nonwhite half, or you have a family member who is assaulted, or a friend who finally confesses their online harassment and the severe damage its done to them, and you have an audience waiting for you to tell them who to laugh at/treat like shit if they want to because well, theyre wrong and stupid arent they, why should anyone treat them well - thats the conclusion a lot of these people take from seeing people be made the butt of jokes.......... What are you going to do?
Ive always tried to make this blog a mentally and emotionally safe place. Ive made mistakes, but ive always tried to own up to them and learn from. Like, yeah, theres been some racist shit on this blog before, probably some transphobic shit too, ive had this blog since i just turned 17 in dec. 2013....... Its important for my followers that i cultivate a place that is good for them, that isnt stressful, that focuses on good content or. me having fun in video games lmao. and why is that good? well, because i want to. Its not necessarily the right thing to do nor the wrong thing to do, it just Is morally. But when it comes to cultivating an audience based on constantly shocking people, and making people uncomfortable, and making innocent people scared to exist or ashamed of their existence or hurt because theyre reminded that what they are is disgusting to people like you, whether you mean it or not? Thats where I feel things like this become a moral choice. Like, first of all, even if youre doing it jokingly, if youre having fun pretending to throw punches and kicks even if the point is to laugh at you, you run the risk of people getting hit. Thats why we dont do that in public spaces. When youre jokingly throwing metaphorical punches even if the joke is that youre being an arse purposely, youre in that corridor, and the traffic in that corridor is every single person that sees your post, possibly hundreds, possibly thousands, and so the chance that youre going to hit people - many people - is huge. But to get back to whats on my mind, even if you dont give a shit about all the people you hit accidentally or on purpose, when you train an audience to expect you to feed them meat, when you stop feeding them meat theyll still be looking at you, and if theyre hungry enough - entitled enough, angry enough, uncaring enough, tired of life and other people enough, unknowing enough, ready enough to bring the fight to other people - theyre going to pick at you if not take chunks off you if not tear you to shreds. When you call people who think shock humour and hurting other people is acceptable, well, thats what youve done right?
You dont need to make a blog like mine thats purpose is to be safe. You dont need to actively try to make sure people feel like they fit in with your content, you dont need to create a space for other people to enjoy at all, maybe you just wanna do what makes you laugh. But the less space we hold for people to hurt people the less people are going to get hurt, shocker i know, but also the less harmful peopleâs anger we are unknowingly feeding, and the less fucking clueless kids who are going to grow up parroting things theyve heard and never understood, that truly evil people understand, and the less content creators in the future weâre going to have to dig out of the hole they back themselves into
anyway. odd post, its done now
#i cant proofread this ugh im at my limit. kinda defeats the point of making this post if its not understandable but anyway#sorry this. i put it here because its directly related to the below post and its about content creators#this might make very little sense and theres probably a lot of logic leaps i didnt explain and maybe im super wrong and whatever but#theres absolutely no need for anyone to address this and its better if it isnt addressed but im in a bit of a bad space mentally right now#(dont worry im going to bed after i do the dishes)#unknowingly hurting people and hurting people in general and people unknowingly backing themselves into corners is just.#on my mind except on my Heart ad emotions right now i just need to talk about it#i just keep thinking if i can save one fucking kid from getting into trouble#hell even the content creators i thoroughly disagree with. the ones echoing harmful ideas and Haha Offensive oppressive content#the idea that some of them are still doing it because they cant escape...... the idea of anyone realising their mistakes and being stuck#and not being able to get out of it#theres so much anger in the world and i Know everyones tired and theyre aching emotionally#everyone including the people i really dont like are all doing what theyre doing because. anyway#its just. the more we can talk about this - and i understand as Many Minority Statuses Overlapping that we dont owe any assholes conversatio#n - the more people who can talk about this talk about this and bridge the gap and drag people who dont know better out of their edgy#phases to become better more conscious people..............#oof. its almost 5am#traitor's ramblings#assault#mention.

inidan american (desi) logan
a sequel to this post because people asked for more and i decided that they shall receive (and also i love writing these)
fair warning, logans a bitter kid, and this isnt as positive and happy as romans post. ive experienced two different ways of being desi, one where i lived in fully asian and indian community and didnt even think id ever feel alone, and another where i moved to a place where i havent met another desi in like 7 years of living here in a 3 hour driving radius. in romans post i played into my first experience and how at home i felt. in the second experience, the one im in right now, i am much more bitter about who i am and not really knowing anyone who gets it anymore. so i play into that A LOT in this. so keep that in mind. (and he will get happier in a future part. m planning on making this into a series)
ok so first off. his name is logan sanders. people (mostly other indians) dont believe him when he tells them. he tells them they dont know indian history. they say they do. he tells them that the british fucked around (quite literally) in india for four centuries so of course english names would stick with that precise wording
sometimes when heâs annoyed enough and doesnt want to explain this for the millionth he defends himself with this russel peters skit (watch it, itâs hilarious) because it describes his family. to a T.Â
he grew up in a community with not very many asians, and knew no indians outside his family so he felt a sort of disconnect to his culture
while his grandparents and parents would teach him about indian culture, he felt so distant from it since he knew no one outside his family who was indian, and since he didnt have any siblings or any nearby cousins to hang around with
he had visited india once but he was too young to remember it properly or too remember his cousins
the closest mandir was an hour away so that also limited the amount of indian kids/people he knew
he barely knew hindi because everyone in his family spoke english, especially in public
he felt guilty over the disconnect he felt and would always try to bridge it but would never accomplish this because it he kept losing passion since he rarely saw other people like him in the real world and in the media and he didnt see the point of trying
this all changed in eight grade when he moved next door to the Kumar family in a north indian street of some south asian blocks in an asian community
when his family first moved, the Kumar family invited the Sanders over to welcome them
it turns out the Kumarâs had a son who was the same age as logan
âhi logan! im rohan kumar! but i like going by roman instead of rohan!âÂ
this introduction pissed logan offÂ
he was seething because why would this kid who got to have an indian first AND last name change his name to an english one! why didnt he see the value of his name!
he knew right away that such a difference meant they could never be friendsÂ
âim logan sanders, but thats all youll get to know about me because i see no use associating myself with someone as... well, ignorant, as youâ
roman decides to whip out one of the swears his cousins taught him and whisper shouts âwho are you calling ignorant, bhenchod?âÂ
it became clear to him that this was new turf, and people on this new turf must be speaking hindi. and that he was the ignorant one if he couldnt talk in hindi. he made a vow to learn it as fast as he could to make sure this roman kid wasnt better than him
but, logan grits his teeth and says âyou, and i know it must be true because you were too dumb to understand me the first timeâ
this evidently struck a sore spot in roman because he didnt fight back but just stalked away. logan smiled slightly, happy to have won that argument
logan asks his grandpa to teach him hindi and his grandpa gets super excited
they start lessons immediately and despite barely hearing it growing up, itâs as if his brain was made for this because he picks the language up amazingly fast and in a months time, while not able to speak back yet, he can understand most casual conversation
his first diwali in basically little india is the most magical thing ever
diwali at his old home was very quiet because there wasnt anyone around to celebrate with
everyone is so happy in this new home however. everyone is dressed up and all the houses are lit up and there are diyas everywhere and he doesnt want to admit it but the kumarâs have the best rangoli on the street and itâs because of roman and he knows roman did it because sometimes heâd stare out of his bedroom window while doing homework and have a perfect view of roman delicately working on it for two weeks
(the kumarâs front porch had been covered with tarp waiting for diwali to make sure romans precious rangoli wasnt stepped on or ruined. when itâs finally let up, everywhere where there could be art, there is. itâs insane how good at colors roman is, logan thinks)
diwali morning:Â
he fights his parents because he doesnt want to miss school for diwali because americans dont have a day off for it. his parents set the clocks in the house ahead to make him think he overslept so he would skip school. (logan didnt know that his parents had submitted an excused absence form for religious reasons and that the school was very understanding. he thought it would be like his old school where he wouldnteven bother trying since he wasnt christain and the school was lkinda discriminatory)
they spend the morning in mandir and itâs nice. for once he doesnt feel different from his peers because he goes to mandir and not church or synagogue. he feels at home.
diwali afternoon:
the afternoon is spent with frantic cleaning and cooking and digging around for the diyaâs that were still in boxes, packed away from when they moved
logan offered to find them all to continue with a diya science experiment he started two years prior. his theory was that the diyaâs were multiplying and there were more each year despite no one buying anymore
this held true, because even though he could only find half of their diya collection, it was somehow more than the entire diya collection of two years prior.Â
diwali evening:
theres a big potluck and everyone in the neighborhood is out talking to each other, looking at the decorations at everyones houses, eating samosas, and playing with sparklers.Â
logan feels content
he makes a new resolve to learn more about hinduism. if this is what ti was supposed to be, then he never wanted to be away from hinduism.Â
he looked at the metaphors and symbolism in everything and finally understood what his dad meant he told logan that hinduism is just science written in poetry and that string theory is written in the ancient texts
middle school in this new town is so much better than middle school in his old home. why?
a. doesnt get bullied for being a nerd
b. doesnt get called gay slursÂ
c. the classes are harderÂ
d. much less racism
e. all of the above
soon enough, logans asking his grandpa to teach him how to cook Indian food
Logan spends the day burning dosas and making lopsided rotis
(eventually he gets the hang of it, and a he'll be cooking food for an infuriating Indian boy ;) ;) psst it's roman)
Speaking of boys
Coming out isn't an option for logan
He knows that his parents arent really religious enough to really look into hinduism and see that no, gays are not bad
But they are traditional and conservative enough to be homophobic
not homophobic as in spewing hate with the westboro baptist church at a pride parade
But homophobic as in "the gays are fine as long as they don't do it in front of me" kinda thing
So Logan stays quiet
the closet kinda sucks but i mean what can he do
itâs safer inside, and he as illogical as wishing is, he wishes that people would use their brains and realize thereâs nothing wrong with gay
anyway
in school logan makes his first desi friend, who was dubbed as anxiety years ago and cant seem to get rid of the nickname and now has a whole complex about his name so logan doesnt know his name
logan and anxiety meet in the school library: logan studying and anxiety hiding
people dont like anxiety
especially non-indian kids
surprise surprise itâs an old buddy called racism, but anxietyâs story is for another time
(but even though no one really likes anxiety, whenever racist shit goes down, it has to go through roman)
so logan and anxiety become fast friends
and they make fun of roman (a+ bonding)
logan claims that roman is a hypocrite for changing his name to an english one while being so immersed in indian culture
anxiety doesnt dispute this, but says he has a past with roman
a past that involved getting stuck with the name anxiety
again, another story for another time
one day, when logan and anxiety are eating lunch they see roman destroy some homophobes who throw around the word f*g and keep calling caitlyn jenner, bruce jenner
logans chest surges
heâs all like âwhat?? emotions?? pride at roman?? is he better than me for being so open and standing up for what he believes in??â
gay panic basically
but logan masked it well and pushed it away
the next day roman comes to school with a pride patch on his jean jacket
logan feels like he cant breathe
logan is supremely jealous of roman.
he can be gay in peace
he can pretend not to be indian in a way that benefits him
and heâs not affected by stereotypes in the same way?? like what does this kid not have
and by stereotypes i mean
roman is the complete opposite of all indian and desi stereotypes: loud, flamboyant, theatrical
loganâs personality is exactly how the stereotypes are. heâs nerdy and likes science and math and it seems like he cant escape the stereotypes. they follow him. and he feels guilty that he likes science and math and is nerdy.Â
as illogical as it is, he wishes he was different from how he is
but logan later learns that there are more than just his perspective on being desi and that every desi kid growing up faces challenges about it that are different than his, causing them to experience being desi differently
and logan will accept that, in another story at another time
for now, heâs just bitter. and as illogical as it is, he wishes the world was better
and now, i shall tag some people who asked to be tagged and some other desiâs who loved this because i feel like you guys might appreciate this too. also i love u. desi famders squad up.

Why do u hate v*r*sk* from homestuck so much??
my byf is kinda outdated lol. its more of a consistent dislike and discomfort.
1. her abuse of tavros, especially the mind-controlled kiss. that was. like. assault. no getting around it that was assault.
2. her idolization of mindfang when the mindfang and dolorosa situation. existed.Â
3. i hate mind control as a concept in general. its a bad power and if a character has it much less uses it i extremely dislike them at least. this isnt to say it cant be done right, but it definitely wasnt in vriskaâs writing imo.
im fine if you like her. but saying she did nothing wrong is another thing entirely that i am extremely uncomfortable with, when her constant abuse of tavros is prevalent. its implied that in the alpha timeline she doesnt change, based on how she treats jake. i consider (vriska) (1) to be a separate character from (vriska) (2) entirely. i think that having her, an abuser, being the defining reason for the success of the session was a bad move on hussieâs part.
then if weâre talking about what i associate with the character which is completely separate from the character herself (3 kinda falls into this), i knew someone when i was younger who acted a lot like vriska and she was. not a good friend. and vriska reminds me of her, so. and beyond personal even, but socially i think the way hussie treats vriska is very âmanic pixie dream girlâ trope-esque and his fatphobia and oversexualization of her outside of the comic when  she was still a child is uhhhhhh very uncomfortable and bad!Â
i havent cared about homestuck canon in years though and i will likely never be making any content for any character besides maybe nepeta and terezi ever again and even they will be in an au and only because of kin stuff. i dont like homestuck at all, i think there were many bad decisions made about the entire comic, and given the many antisemetic nods especially within the ARPG hussie ran and the many cases of racism and ableism within the writing itself, i think its overall just bad. its not as convoluted as people make it out to be, or as complicated of a story, so theres not really fun in trying to piece it together, either. both epilogues absolutely sucked shit and shouldnt have been written- you can probably guess why i hated them. i feel like my feelings surrounding homestuck as a whole play into my dislike of her as a character, too, as she is from homestuck.Â

An Open Letter about Racism and the Term Banana
Context
First Incident sometime last month i referred to myself as a banana and was told it was subtly racist. i *thought* i had adequately explained why it was not and why i identified as such. i had also explained that i would never actively call someone else a banana unless they also referred to themselves as such.
Second Incident it happened last night. to her defence, before i start, she was a bit drunk and i also know shes super passionate about this topic. however, i do have to say i think shes too âpolitically correctâ sometimes to the point where she would be offended by how i view myself - but well get to that later. anyways, she was a bit drunk and we somehow came to the topic of xenophobia vs racism and that somehow spiraled into âreverse racismâ and how it, in her opinion, doesnt exist, but i didnt agree. i mostly was content with letting the topic go but she really wanted to convince me otherwise. she got frustrated w me enough tho that she said something along the lines of âthis is like how u call urself a banana and think its not racist and that its okay, but it is racist and its not okayâ to which i yelled back âi talked to my asian american friends about this and they all tell me that you dont understand my experiencesâ
Open Letter
Part One - Our Conversation About Xenophobia, Racism and âReverse Racismâ
First, I want to say about the whole issue of xenophobia and âreverse racismâ, maybe youre right. And certainly you believe so. Maybe white people cant experience racism. And i certainly understood your point about how its only the oppressed class or classes who could experience it.Â
But I also believe that they can be oppressed in non-white dominated countries. Maybe you see it as discrimination and not racism. And thatâs fine. But I do not claim to know everything that happens in the world, and so I cannot say for 100% certainty that they do not.Â
Even if in a societal scale they âcannotâ experience racism. Can you then say it doesnt happen on a personal level? If my moms telling me she rather me marry Chinese>Asian>White>Black, to me, that is racism not just âdiscriminationâ or âxenophobiaâ (which was by ur definition a rejection of anyone whos different) why isnt it just âi rather u marry a chinese guyâ? why are there tiers?Â
Maybe you have a sound explaination for this. Maybe i still dont fully understand the subtle differences between the term racist, or xenophobic. Again, im more than willing to play with the idea im wrong. But its not something youre going to convince me of in a 15 minute half drunken conversation.Â
Side Note: Did you know white europeans used to be enslaved by muslims? these are the stories we never hear about because being a victim at any point in time doesnt fit the narrative of white people always being on top or the narrative of whites being the âevil colonialistsâ.
Part Two - The Term Banana
I thought you understood me the last time we talked but I guess not because you called me racist last night. I want to preface this by saying at the time I read what articles I could find, written by asian americans about how they either accepted or rejected this term. I also went to ask my asian american friends what they thought as well.
All my friends and I identify with the term banana. There are some, in the articles I read who do reject this term. And i will reiterate that I would never call someone a banana unless they themselves do and it comes up in conversation like âim such a banana.â âlmfao its fine we can be bananas togetherâ.Â
I remember you thought it wasnt a term I should use because âi will always be asianâ and i cant âmake myself whiteâ. I have never wanted to be white. I was a pretty weird kid, and I always knew i was different from others, I was always very aware of the fact that I was Asian and I was always proud of it. My Experiences from Canada
I know for some of my friends it was a shock learning that they were different from their peers. One example i can give is the comedian Joe Wang tells this story about how his son thinks hes white and was shocked to learn he was actually âyellowâ. But for me, anytime someone asked me where i was from, I would say âChinaâ (at this point i didnt know the difference status Hong Kong held). Now, part of this I attribute to actually being born in Hong Kong and therefore saying i was from âChinaâ was true to me. The other part is that I never really experienced racism. Then again, maybe i did and i was just too dense to realize. But i never had the thing where kids would go âewww whats that stuff ur eatingâ. Certainly i would get weird looks sometimes, but, to me it was just like i like eating broccoli but hate carrots, u think broccoli is gross but u love carrots. I never took it as a racial thing. I even remember i brought mooncakes once for my class to try and almost no one took me up on it but the teacher. The ones who did expressed they really didnt like like w their face. But i didnt feel bad. I remember carrying the box of mooncakes back to the car and telling my mom they didnt wanna try and immediately both of us said âoh well, more for usâ. I will say when I was young, I really wanted to have blond hair and blue eyes, curly hair even. I saw a friend and thought it was so pretty. But even as i imagined myself with blond hair and blue eyes, i still saw myself w asian features not white features. A little later I started watching anime and wanted purple eyes so i can say with certainty it wasnt a me wanting to me white thing. My Experiences in Hong Kong and with My Family in GeneralÂ
Growing up my parents and my family back in Hong Kong, would always call me a âgwei muiâ. From wikipedia, âGwei [xxx] is a common Cantonese slang term for Westerners. In the absence of modifiers, it refers to white people and has a history of racially deprecatory and pejorative use, although it has been argued that it has since acquired a more neutral connotation. Cantonese speakers frequently use gwailou to refer to Westerners in general use, in a non-derogatory context, although whether this type of usage is offensive (i.e., an ethnic slur) is disputed by both Cantonese and Westerners alikeâ. Yes, in the past this word was racially charged, but in the present, its just another way to refer to westerners. I donât really wanna get into it right now because theres a lot more to break down, but just know that its just a common way to refer to foreigners and the term âgwei muiâ specifically refers to white girls.Â
I grew up like this. And I grew up knowing that it was a very neutral term for people to call westerners and I also grew up being called such. Just as it was a fact that I was a girl, or that my moms name was Elsa, I was a gwei mui.Â
Hong Kong is an international city. And there are foreigners everywhere. I remember walking into a store and before I even said anything, the shop assistants would ask âoh, youre from overseas right?â âyeah, how did you know?â âoh i can just tell by the way u carry yourselfâ. I had a friend tell me that she could tell i grew up overseas from the way i stood waiting in line, have ppl tell me they could tell by my make up or by how i dressed. My âThesisâ on the Matter
In Hong Kong, and in my family and my extended family I was always the âwhite girlâ. You once said that I couldnt be white no matter what, that i would always be asian. Can you tell my family that? Can you erase the fact that I was heavily influenced by western culture? I will say again, i never wanted to be white. And to be quite honest, when you said that I couldnt be white, and that i would always be asian, I felt angry. Angry that you could even imply I would want to be white, that i would want to be anything other than asian, that you assumed to know how i was feeling.Â
But you need to understand, its not about âwanting to be whiteâ, its about ânot being asian enoughâ. You need to understand, that it never came from white communities, it came from my parents and my family back home.Â
It was never racially motivated. It was just a fact. Iâm currently 25 years old, Iâm 5ft5(ish), I weigh about 117lbs, I was born a girl and identiy as such, Iâm from Hong Kong, I grew up in Canada and iâm a banana.Â
If we were to go back to what u were trying to explain about racism and xenophobia then you could make the argument that âgwei muiâ and âbananaâ had xenophobic roots - but to tell me its racist? because im itching to be white? i thoroughly reject that and i find it offensive. If we were to take this stance tho, that it had xenophobic roots, and is therefore xenophobic, I would say âyes, maybe. but if im reclaiming it and seeing it as acknowledgement that I am a mesh of two different cultures, who are you to tell me its wrong?â Furthermore, i would make the argument that the n-word most definitely had racial undertones. but black ppl proudly call themselves the n-word. Why cant I call myself a banana without people telling me im being racist. The final reason on why that statement about how i will always be asian and never white disturbs me to the core is the way that statement lumps all asians together. And maybe you didnt mean it like this or didnt even notice. But my experiences are vastly different from my cousins who grew up in Hong Kong. And yes, by the colour of my skin i will always be asian. But the experiences that make up who I am and my personality are very Canadian, very western based. And to basically overlook that, is to overlook my existence and the existence of Asian Americans. I know you would never do this, but to basically put all Asians in one category is the same mind that would white supremacists' would tell us to âgo back to our countryâ not acknowledging that most of us were born or at least grew up here.Â
Thoughts from My Asian American Friends. Like I said, I talked to this with a lot of my asian american friends. Most of which identified w the term banana and actively call themselves one. Others who donât, but are not offended when others identify themselves as such. They reiterated that the term banana was never about âwanting to be whiteâ that it was never an issue of âwantâ. That it never came from white communities. It came from their families back in asia. That they were âtoo whiteâ or ânot asian enoughâ. As one friend put it, âi mean in honesty we say it cause we feel like we don't totally belong to our culture, it's not saying it in means to erase our race.â another friend added â This is true. Iâve seen posts about struggles of other Asian Americans who feel like theyâre too Asian to be accepted as an American but too American to be accepted as an Asian lolâ. They also said that to deny us of calling ourselves bananas is to invalidate our experiences and our existence as asian americans. That we are not the same as our counterparts who grew up in asia. That we were heavily influenced by western culture. â Lmao did they just forget that as much as Asian blood runs in you, your whole life has been in CA? For that person to say that to you feels like sheâs already making you feel invalidated for being Asian AND Canadianâ. Who are others, who are not asian americans, to tell us, asian americans, how we can or cannot identify ourselves. Who are non asian americans to tell us this is racist, to say that we âwantâ to be white when they dont understand how we feel at all. my one friend said and i quote, âyeah I donât think calling myself a banana is racist, like dude Iâm talking about myself and how I see myself, who tf are you to say anythingâ.
one friend said it played into the white savior narrative. that we dont know better and that not specifically you, but that in general white ppl are getting angry for us, trying to educate us and inform us because we dont know better. Another friend agreed that it probably started off as a negative but then ppl accepted it cuz it made sense - similar to how gweilo started off as having negative connotations but is now just neutral. She said, âbanana imo is one of those words that started off as something bad but gradually (some) people accepted it and started referring themselves as banana because it makes sense lolâ. Closing Statements
Iâm not trying to make you feel bad and i honestly hope i dont. But I remember you telling me it was important to have these conversations so I hope this isnt too uncomfortable. honestly tho, i dont even know if im ever going to send this to you or if youll read it.
But I really need you to understand where this comes from and where Iâm coming from. If you dont agree, I canât really change that. But to essentially call me racist for how identify myself with the things i struggle with, is 100% not okay. To tell me Iâll always be asian and to imply i shouldnt want to be white is 110% offensive. and to lump asian americans with asians is 100% denying our experiences. to tell me how i can and cannot see myself, is also 100% not your call, its mine. And it really hurt to know after our conversation last time you still thought i was âwrongâ that you thought I was being racist instead of truly respecting where it comes from. At some point you might be able to gradually convince me âreverse racismâ doesnt exist. but there is no way in hell, you will convince me that how I or other asian americans see ourselves is the âwrongâ way to see ourselves.Â

i feel like theres so much to do or fix in mass effect that they would never do a remake properly besides giving it a facelift and that sucks to think about considering how the games could have been. im happy with what we have of course but just knowing that there was voice files in the code for more romances and saving both virmire survivors and everything
oh 100000% and this goes even well back to ME1 like dont get me wrong, it was a stellar like gameplay flaghsip fantastic never rly done before kind of game for its time and definitely helped lead towards a certain play style developed by other companies. but they all have faults.
me2 has i think personally some of the most glaringly obvious ones, in just how âno gay people in spaceâ it hard lines, as well as just the sheer amount of sexism and racism etched into it (jacobâs entire character and loyalty mission but also his progression into me3 when romanced, real talk). if you had a dollar for how many ass shots miranda got alone, youâd be swimming in enough cash to rewrite the game. or at least give her decent clothing. like me1 gets some passes (not a lot like maybe two) because it was pre-EA and they were like uhhh what kind of player do we even want but me2 just stinks of dudebros. like they saw an opportunity to go to 100 on like titty straps and emphasising that asari only have two modes: hoe and bitch, and weâre literally going to give women camel toes and emphasis them at every opportunity because you know whats really sexy? that. apparently. like i love me2 to pieces but it rly is the biggest shit pile of hyper masculinity.
but they also recorded a bunch of mlm romance lines??? like. okey.
i rly do stick by the whole âin biowares best interests a remake (esp of me1) would be best to reintroduce and recuperate and reclaim mass effectâ just because remakes arent remasters. they are more, technically, than a remaster. they fix bugs, sometimes more often than not implement dialogue and choices that were cut due to time restrictions or bugs or narrative. sadly i dont think they could ever make the virmire survivors a thing, just because of how they play it out in the later games. even though we know at one point it was possible... and well somehow the salarians make it out but ashley/kaidan doesnt. okey. but anyway like there will never be any real true way to fix me3â˛s ending which is what still holds to be the biggest problem. they cant erase like 8+ yrs of it having existed. and they cant justify it, either. they tried that. didnt work the first time. but bringing me1 up to speed could give them enough of a break between mea and potentially mea2 (now that casey devil hudson is on board again). like obv i dont know logistics and they fired a ton of ppl and shuffled around too much during production as well as for anthem so the state of bioware is very tedious. i think theyre relying heavily on a potential da4 sell to keep them afloat, as anthem bombed.
but anyway. like mea had a shit launch at the end of the day. bioware/EA shot themselves in the foot by trying to appeal to old fans with the N7 logos splattered around on initial artwork like it was just. tokenism. mea wasnât dead awful, contrary to popular belief. it was fun. funny and stupid and ryder was very relatable. i think it got too caught up in promises bc bioware always makes promises, but also just like being titled âmass effectâ is a lot of pressure considering how the OT ended on a sour note for a lot of ppl... and then theres all internal stuff and apparent rumours etc etc etc. but mea had a fucking awful launch where they gave people demos that werent polished and all those faces and wonky animation came out and people didnt buy it. i mean at least it didnt brick ps4s like anthem, but it wasnt that bad.
who knows. bioware has been struggling for years, EA is draining them dry, theyve lost almost all their major writers and developers and players... weâll see ig
#replies#imagine if they did actually implement saving both ashley and kaidan...#theyd have to figure out who would get to be second spectre lol#also explain how ashley got a decade worth of promotions in two years (shes just that good)#idk#Anonymous
