The new bsd ep was absolute shit and I'm so confused as to why nobody is talking about it

(also this episode is DEFINITELY not going to be the canon ending of this arc, bones just wrote yet another shitty ending)

Skks initial plan was alright I guess, but it was super obvious and already predicted by tons of theorists, so the fact that Fyodor was actually fooled by this plan is extremely ooc and inconsistent to his character, I think FYODOR of all people would be able to know if Chuuya was faking being a vampire, when Chuuya broke into the prison Fyodor was extremely smug about it and acted like everything was going to plan.

Also this episode kind of shallows down skks relationship as a whole if it meant all of those speeches from Dazai to Chuuya were just an act and it DOES prove Fyodors word right about them having a shallow bond.

(also the fact that Chuuya was faking takes away from brams ability of having the actual person deep down still alive so it makes me hella confused about sskk)

The fact that Dazai just left sigma to die completely goes back on all of the character development he has had through the series of actually learning to care and not being a selfish asshole all the time, the new EP just completely ignores all of this and just makes Dazai break his promise to get sigma out of the prison alive, even after his last words to sigma in the elevator were the same as Odas last words to Dazai: "I leave the rest to you" (showing that he is mirroring Odasaku, his ideal view of a moral person and one of the most positive influences in his life)

(though I'm not COMPLETELY sure about this because a part of Dazai's character is that he will always eventually return to the way he was but to just throw all of the character development he had over the series out the window is also just bad writing)

The explanation for Dazai's non broken leg was also really poorly done, "Chuuya manipulated gravity in the elevator" that would be really difficult to do, since Dazai's ability would technically nullify it too.. (can't say much about this, just kinda a plot hole)

Also the way they just killed off fyodor to get him out of the way was FOUL. (as much as I DETEST Fyodor I need to say this) We don't know SHIT about that man and he could have been such an interesting potential character if we learned more about him as the series went on but NO, bones js threw all of his plans and everything about the book out?? Also Sigma finding out his secrets??? All of his characterization just became completely useless, leaving him to just be the standard detached and manipulative bad guy with no elaboration on his character.

Also I expected a more intense reaction from Teruko when stabbing Fukuchi, she literally had to kill the person she looked up the the most and idolized and had known for so long but she just gets brushed off and ignored

Also what happened to jouno???? WHY DOES BRAM HAVE A BODY??? Why the fuck is fukuchi dressed like that??? Why is there a war?? What is going on??? WHY IS AKUTAGAWAGA A FUCKING POWER RANGER??? ALSO THIS EPISODE COMPLETELY FORGETS THAT ATSUSHI IS THE MAIN FUCKING CHARACTER???

"Bones has early access to unreleased chapters" I SURE HOPE THE FUCK NOT?? If it does it means Asagiri is a horrible writer (which we all know he isn't)

Anime Summer 2023

Overall I thought this was an enjoyable season with quite a few high quality shows in it and a few surprises.

Here's my thoughts on Summer 2023 anime, from most favorite to least.

Bungou Stray Dogs Season 5

How could anything else be at the top? While I think overall this was a little weaker than S4 for me -- I really like some of the character work in S4, particularly Ranpo and Yosano's pasts -- this was an absolute roller coaster ride from start to finish. I can't help but admire BSD's ability to throw absolutely ridiculous and over the top plot points one after another and still make it all work. It came to a reasonably satisfying conclusion as well. BSD in general has shot up to become one of my favorite anime of all time and this season didn't disappoint at all.

Highlights: Ranpo saving everyone's asses. Sigma just wants a home. Bram just wants tunes. Aya is the MVP. Chuuya and his Spirit Halloween vampire fangs. You can't kill Dazai in a way that matters.

Complaints: I can only hope we're getting some light novel movies or else we're going to be waiting a long time for more BSD.

My Happy Marriage

Romance in anime tends to be hit or miss, but this one was incredibly refreshing. Far too many romance stories just don't do a good job of showing how the leads are meant for each other, but this show was delightful whenever the leads were on screen. I loved how they were able to talk to each other sensibly and how gently Kiyouka treated Miyo's trauma. Plus, it was beautifully animated.

Highlights: Kiyouka burning the Saimori house the fuck down. Any time Miyo wore a new kimono. The exchange of the hair cord and the comb. Miyo finally getting to protect Kiyouko.

Complaints: The first arc was stronger than the second. The abrupt turnaround by the Usuba family was a little strained.

Jujutsu Kaisen

The art change has made JJK more beautiful than ever. The production values and the OP/EDs of this show don't miss. The Hidden Inventory arc was so intense and featured some stunning fights. While I think the last few eps have been a bit rocky, I'm looking forward to seeing what's going to be cooked up.

Highlights: Pulling on our heartstrings with the girl's sudden death. Gojo's revenge rampage. Geto tormented by the clapping of hands. Yuuji's friends teasing him about a girl.

Complaints: JJK's commitment to never slowing down means we never get to spend as much time in the character moments as I'd like. I think this hurts arcs like Hidden Inventory where Geto's turn to the dark side would be better done if they slowed down a bit.

Undead Murder Farce

This season's big surprise for me. This show was incredibly entertaining and had everything you could want. Vampires! Werewolves! A phantom thief! Sherlock Holmes! Lesbians! The supernatural creatures in an alternate history late 1800s Europe thing did a little bit to fill the Vanitas-shaped hole in my heart. I really appreciated how solid production values and creative visuals spiced up episodes that were really mostly just talking. There had better be another season of this. The story's just getting started!

Highlights: Phantom Thief Lupin and his dramatics. Literary characters showing up one after the other. Vampire murder mystery.

Complaints: The second arc was definitely the best one, and the following werewolf arc dragged a bit and couldn't quite compare.

Saint Cecilia and Paster Lawrence

This show just doesn't work as a romcom, which it ostensibly is trying to be. Lawrence is just too dense and the development is excruciatingly slow even by anime romcom standards. Thankfully, this show does work nicely as a charming slice of life. It's consistently cozy and heartwarming even if nothing ever actually happens. The village full of supportive townsfolk looking after these two reminds me almost of Stardew Valley.

Highlights: The trip to the city where we actually inched along the plot a bit. Cecilia's outfits -- she really does look cute in anything. The scene with Cecilia and Lawrence in the attic.

Complaints: Nothing ever happens. Ending on Lawrence confused about whether or not he thinks of Cecilia as family was kind of a downer.

Sunshine in the Mirror

I haven't watched Love Live! Sunshine (which this show is a spinoff of) but I did watch Superstar and it's not like it's difficult to follow a Love Live show. This one started out promising with a cute enough premise, but kind of fell apart halfway through. The cute slice of life content wasn't bad, but the plot itself was poorly done with unclear stakes. The magic badness engulfing the town was primarily shown as fog with a few angry deer in it. That's just New Hampshire, I'm not scared of that.

Highlights: While all idol music sounds a little samey to me, this one was on the higher end of enjoyability. Cute outfits and consistently colorful and fun to look at. Lailaps plot was cute enough.

Complaints: The overarching plot was really badly written, and that killed a lot of the momentum of the series.

Bang Dream! It's MyGo!

This show has one thing going for it compared to Love Live, and that is willingness to show actual teenage drama and teens being petty and selfish. I loved the lead singer character and her awkwardness and her bandaid collection and wished the show were more about her, but I guess not all shows can be Bocchi the Rock. While the writing had its good points, I ended up dropping this due to pointless drama overload and the fact that I couldn't tell the girls apart.

Highlights: Lead singer character was endearing when she got to be on screen.

Complaints: CGI animation was stiff and poor. Characters impossible to tell apart. Teen drama maybe a little too realistic and hard to watch as a result.

Zom 100

This had an outstanding first episode but quickly went down the tubes for me. I'm not a big fan of zombies in the first place, so bouncing off the show is probably on me. I dropped it after the first handful of episodes.

Highlights: First episode is well worth watching on its own. Colorful animation.

Complaints: Unfunny humor. Production quality drops significantly after the first episode. Treatment of female characters made me uncomfortable. Guilt over watching an anime about exploitative companies knowing how many production delays this has had and that the people making this are also being exploited.

Fall 2023

Fall 2023 is looking absolutely slammed! Dr. Stone and Spy x Family are back. Frieren, Apothecary Diaries, I'm in Love with the Villainess and Tearmoon Empire are high on my list of shows to try. And we'll have the second cour of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Okay, let's start here.

First of all - Yes, I'm sad. I'm fqning sad, FukuFuku was my reason to read this manga last months. Now I don't feel to read more to be honest.

Secondly - Dazai is alive and we all expected it. Yes. But his reason to be alive is such a nonsence. No, Asagiri, it's not possible to measure the shot to stuck the bullet in the scull. Also it's also a wound, he should not after that all be able to even walk.

Chuuya was never a vampire - okay, I accept it. The only question is - how Fyodor never noticed it. If Fyo was controlling all vampires, then why he never noticed that Nakahara is not under his mind? Also - I need this scene, where "the boss is glueing him the teeths". That's what he said, so it means it was Mori and I just wanna see that silly thing-

Fyodor's death is NOT confirmed. People pls. Akutagawa survived the exploding ship, Ango survived the car crash from the side of hood. Fyodor then may survive the helicopter's crash! The hand might be fake as well! Especially because Gogol hasn't reacted so this very loudly.

Then, finally. Fukuchi. I know that most of you h.te him, I accept it. Just... after that all, after we know finally his justification - do you still believe that he deserved to die? I mean, it was his will. That's why I feel with it even worser- Anyway, I knew that he is not the bad guy, I felt it. And I feel so sorry to Fukuzawa because of him. I need to appoint the speech, it's something you may miss without research. Fukuchi is telling Fukuzawa that "in next 36 years will be a great war, over 21 million people will die in that war". The real Fukuchi was working as a quite-politician in years some like 1890-1903-4. In 1903 he was still a politician, as I remember. 1903+36 -> 1939, the II world war is beginning. On this war their lifes lost 21-25 million soldiers. All numbers are correct and I enjoy that reference, as well, as I enjoy Genichiro trying to save the world from the war.

Will Fukuchi get up and is he in that last minutes? No idea, but it won't have sence. I believe more that Shintō Amenogozen woke up, as a holy sword without its owner. In those person I see Fukuchi's body stolen or used by the nature of sword. But, of course! I may be wrong.

At last - one thing that people missed. COULD SOMEBODY FINALLY WAKE UP TANEDA-SAN PLEASE???

BSD SEASON 5 EP 11 + GENERAL OVERVIEW

HOLY FUCK!

THAT WAS SO COOL!

So many things! So much information! So much angst! So many beautiful visuals! I am going to just be describing so much stuff so be warned.

Ok, let's start from the beginning, you've got Aya throwing herself off the roof, and as I assumed it would, the plan works! The sword is out! And Bram has A FUCKING BODY???!!! WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT PART FOR SOME REASON! HE LOOKS SO LONG! And Aya is safe! Asagiri decided to put his hatred of children to the side for once and let her live!

But while he may have let Aya live he didn't let certain other people live. And so with that flawless segway let's go over to Meursault!

Yeah so FYODOR IS FUCKING DEAD. I am willing to believe he'll come back and will talk about how i think that'll happen on a different post but for right now HOLY SHIT HE'S DEAD!

So the scene starts with him walking outta prison with a gay little walk to meet Nikolai and they do their gay little thing, truly there is nothing more romantic then telling someone you'll kill them. And as Fyodor walks to the helicopter he drops a bit of lore that NO ONE ELSE HAS TALKED ABOUT! he said that Dazai was his first challenge since "him". WHO THE FUCK IS HIM???? The only person i can think of that coupd possibly fit the ridiculous genius role is Shibusawa, and it cant be him! Bones has visuals of Shibu they would've flashed a shot of him if it was him, and also that doesn't make sense character wise. This is Fyodor backstory information!

And speaking of, or at least slightly mentioning Dazai. THE BOI AIN'T DEAD! FYODOR CANT KILL HIM HE'S GONNA BE HERE AT THE END OF THE WORLD ALONG WITH COCKROACHES AND TWINKIES! And guess what else? CHUUYA ISNT A VAMPIRE! AND HE NEVER WAS ONE! BRO WAS ACTING! Tachihara is gonna have to relinquish his medal as best actor because Chuuya was spot on! Chuuya also has the vampire fangs still glued to his teeth from when Mori apparently put them there. Lol.

But back to seriousness, Dazai did a little speech about how Fyodor lost because he doesn't trust anyone and then they kill Fyodor by having the helicopter fly into the wall! Fyodor's last words were also from the Bible and according to what others have said they mean something along the lines of "oh god, oh god, why have you forsaken me", I don't think this line has much to do with lore besides like, religious Bible symbolism, but I have seen people theorize that Fyodor's gonna pull a Jesus and rise from the dead in three days! And seeing as I do think that this isn't the last we'll see of him, that could be true!

But now for the most important part of this section, at the cost of Fyodor's life Fyolai is now 100% canon! Some of the most delicious diversity wins are the ones that feel like losses at the same time. To elaborate more, after Fyodor dies the only part left of him is his arm and so Dazai picks it up and gives it to Nikolai say "Aren't you happy you killed him?" Which... technically he didn't kill him but I guess it sorta counts since it was part of the game, anyways, so Nikolai takes the arm and just cradles it to his chest,, so gently,, and says that Fyodor was the only person to ever understand him and that he is actually very sad now that he's dead, it's said much better in the episode I'm not good at dialog, and he just goes over to the wreckage and holds the severed arm of his one and only friend to his face and it's so sad, so gruesome yet so sweet, how tragic, how them.

Oh, and also Sigma is fucking dead apparently. I don't believe this because a good half of my theories are formed on a 'that wouldn't narratively make sense' basis, and by God would that not make sense narratively! And so I'm certain that Sigma is fine, we'll probably find out more about what actually happens in the manga, maybe he'll be in a coma until they need him to reveal the Fyodor back story, because they WILL be giving a Fyodor back story, he's done too much for his affect on the plot to just end now. I have a theory on how he might come back that I'll write later.

Onto a different topic, it's time for OLD MAN YAOI!

Holy shit the old man yaoi was so genuinely devastating. They cared about eachother so much! They CARE about eachother so much! The flower petals! The LITERALLY INSANE AMOUNT OF FLOWER PETALS!

Ok so, Fukuzawa reveals that he's not dead and was just waiting for the right opportunity to strike, and so he finds it and he goes at Fukuchi, they do a fight Fukuzawa gets the One Order and the nukes are deactivated! But wait, Fukuchi runs at him again, Fukuzawa slashes his sword-! But wait! Fukuchi is... smiling? Fukuzawa is now regretting his swing but it's too late to pull back now and so it slashes through his old friends throat, after he does this Poe's book falls out and they both get sucked in, leading me to be kinda confused because I thought you had to actually read it in order to be sucked in? But whatever it's not important.

So in the book Poe has written a couple scenes from Fukufuku's childhood, I assume Ranpo must have told him about the memories, or maybe him and Fukuzawa did some son and father in law bonding where Fukuzawa told him the stuff. Anyways, now the old Fukufuku are having a conversation as the young Fukufuku are just sword fighting, goofing around and being FRIENDS! AUGH! They used to be such close friends! And just, watching them being happy in the past was truly so sweet and devastating, why oh why did it have to end this way!

Now, along with the sad shit that's happening we're also getting some big lore! It turns out that the reason why Fukuchi was doing all of this was because he had gotten a message from the future that there would be a huge war that kills thousands of people, and that he did this as a sort of sacrifice a few for the many thing. And, another big gay and big lore thing, Fukuchi never actually intended to be the commander of the Army of Mankind, he wanted Fukuzawa to command it because he thought that Fukuzawa was so good he couldn't be corrupted by that amount of power. Holy fuck that was so gay! He is so in love! He cares about and thinks so much of Fukuzawa I wish things could turn out different so badly! Like, Fukuchi still kinda sucks (<- just remembered the whole Jouno situation), but he didn't use to suck and if the situation was different he might not have sucked now! The old man yaoi is so tragic! Fuck!

And so Fukuchi asks Fukuzawa to kill him, and Fukuzawa agrees, but when it finally comes down to it, he can't. Fukuzawa has always cared for the one more then he's cared for the many, and even if it would be for the best he just can't bring himself to kill his best friend. And then comes Teruko with a steel chair stabbing Fukuchi in the back! OK seriously now, Teruko comes in and stabs Fukuchi, it seems that its because he asked her to do so as she is quite upset about it, she hands the sword to Fukuzawa and proceeds to turn away,not wanting to look at them anymore, and Fukuchi crumples into Fukuzawa's arms and he holds him as be takes his final breaths, and as Fukuchi takes his final breath Fukuzawa starts Crying! Like full on screaming ans sobbing! Out of every duo I was not expecting Fukufuku to be the one to get the 'crying as you hold your dead partner in you arms' troup, but I'm not complaining! This was devastating.

One final bit about Fukufuku, it is honestly kinda funny how much Bones clearly adores their relationship. They get all the best animation and a whole new artstyle/coloring pallet just fir their scenes! As we've said before, Bones really like their old man yaoi.

And now we get to everyone else, such as SSKK! The neck bite was fine, it wasn't slow and sensual but I think it made up for it by being kinky as heck! Like, look me in the eyes and tell me that wasn't kinky. Atsushi sure seemed to think it was! Other characters include, Juni and Kunikida! They're awake now! They're alright! And so is Ranpo! Kenji and Tecchou are up! My boys! We unfortunately will not get an angsty Suegiku vampire reunion it seems, but its fine, i guess. (<- it's not fine but whatever, it is what it is, I just hope there is some angst when they do meet up again, didnt Asagiri say he wantedto further exoand their relationship?) And of course the most important characters to show up in the outro, LUCY AND KYOUKA! THE GIRLS ARE HERE! WHERE THE FUCK HAVE THEY BEEN! and where's Yosano??? They just, didn't include her at all where is she????

And finally, the two hour time skip.

WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!??!

The airport is on fire?! A floaty gid-lookin guy that looks like Fukuchi is fighting sskk?! AKUTAGAWA HAS A NEW OUTFIT!? My boy got rid of his coat and his Victorian vampire aesthetic and decide to go even further back in time by doing a knights outfit! He has a little eye guard thingy! It's both very stupid and very cool looking and the most important thing is that he's PRETTY! BONES DID IT! THEY FINALLY LET AKU SMILE AND BE PRETTY! THANK FUCK! And when I say they made him pretty I mean they made him Pretty! Bro looked majestic! And Atsushi too! I mean he was wearing the same outfit as always but he looked very nice and!! He smiled at Akutagawa!! He fondly and softly smiled at Akutagawa!!!! Holy shit sskk canon! But also still what the fuck is happening.

Anyways, I have written a lot of stuff and I still have some thought left over, so I might make a second post later, when I'm not supposed to be asleep perhaps.

TLDR; that was a great episode and a very fun end to the series, all of our ships are canon, and i am super excited to see how this will be in manga form! Wow it's weird to be thinking about being excited to see the manga adaptation of the anime instead of the other way around.

Who Is She?! (Akutagawa x Reader)

Higuchi was driving home home after a tiring day at work when she saw him. Akutagawa in all of his perfection. She gasps as she looks at him, panting against the window. “I should ask him if he needs a ride home! That will be perfect. He’ll thank me then he will start to notice me more then we’ll fall in love and AHHHHAHHAHA!!! It’s perfe- who is she?”

Higuchi frowns as she sees a h/c girl walk up to Akutagawa, all smiles and loving. Higuchi’s eyes widen as she sees something that she really wished was at her:

Akutagawa smiled.

She snaps a picture of him and the girl smiles broadly while talking to him, and even made him chuckle.

Wot?

Akutagawa gave her a bag he was carrying and Higuchi saw the girl jump in happiness and he smiles at her happiness. They both started to leave but he took back the bag to carry it for her.

If it wasn’t ruining her work relationship with Akutagawa, Higuchi would’ve sprinted over there and asked the girl who the hell she was. But as hard as she did, Higuchi could not find out who this woman was. So, when she saw Kunikida and Atsushi, she had to ask them.

“Akutagawa is a special person to me and I will greatly appreciate it if you can help me find out who this woman is.” Higuchi says and holds out the photos for them to see.

“Ew. Ew. Ew. Akutagawa with a girl. I need to bleach my eyes!” Atsushi says as he blocks his face. Kunikida analyzed the photo and told Higuchi that he will help.

After some thorough research and asking many people, they found nothing. Kunikida finally went to last measures and asked Ranpo who wasn’t too interested but helped anyway.

“That’s Y/n L/n. Akutagawa’s girl.”

Higuchi almost faints. His girl? As in girlfriend? No. It couldn’t be. Akutagawa didn’t date. He didn’t even bring up liking anyone. Or..did he?

The next day, the trio stood on a balcony of the mall as they saw Y/n walk out of a store. She holds the phone to her ear and smiles as she speaks to the person. When she started to walk away, Higuchi followed her. Y/n stopped by the car park and looked around before running to another car. Higuchi hid behind cars as she stalked her. What she saw next shocked her.

Y/n leaped into Akutagawa’s arms and he laughed as he settles her down. He neatened Y/n’s hair and kissed her forehead before opening the door for his beloved. When he shut the door, he looked dead straight at Higuchi who widened her eyes and fell back against the car. He saw her. He knew.

At work, Higuchi walked around with her senior, shit scared at what he is going to say. Was he mad? Was he going to activate Rashomon and kill her? The possibilities were endless.

“Higuchi,” he begins. “Yes, sir?!” She exclaims and he faces her. “I will highly appreciate it if you kept what you saw to yourself. Y/n is very skeptical about the Mafia and is already so uneasy about me being in it. So it will mean a lot to me if you kept this state of affairs private.” Akutagawa says and Higuchi nods. He nods back and they continue walking.

“She sounds very special to you, sir.” Higuchi says and Akutagawa looks down and smiles.

“She is. Very.”

Winter 2021 Anime Opinions

As always its that time of the year I pretend to be an anime connoisseur and leave my review on this seasons anime so take it with a grain of salt asdfgh from the one I enjoyed the least to the most.

Wave!!: Surfing Yappe!! (TV)

You are seeing currently the only probably best thing about Wave asdfghj Tanaka bby I am SO sorry you got stuck here,,,,, Its bad because I had so many expectations for Wave but it just...... isn’t very good? The characters feel 2 dimensional, animation is veeeery average and the plot is all over the place? Dont even get me started on the Shou situation plot device that they just brushed over and went on with and,,,,,big sigh

Urasekai Picnic

To be honest is not very fair to compare this one to the rest as ive only watched the first 2 eps but ill catch up eventually asdfghj its not bad just that the plot didnt capture me as much as I hoped but the two main characters cutiess the plot just confuses me asdfgh but I don't have much to say about it

Yakusoku no Neverland 2nd Season

So uh anyways Chile I don't wanna talk about it the only reason this is not dead last is because RayEmma cute moments but yeah don't watch this clown show go read the manga for self care ✨

Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun

The only reason this is here is because she. The main girl I cant remember the name of sucks and main dude is very normal asdfgh the plot is basically “Want people to like you? change everything about yourself and become a normie robot!!!” ASDFGHJ Like its so over the top and cringe at times it becomes very confusing but hey I am not caught up either so I may change opinions (x doubt tho)

2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu

From this point onwards I basically like everything. 2.43 Started suuuuper strong for me, definitely thought it would be one of my favs this season but as the eps went by I just.... kinda lost interest asdfgh? Like its not bad, but its a sort of mix between Stars Align and Haikyuu where I would have loved a more character based story with dark subplots like Stars Align but got the parts I always criticize about Haikyuu were there was a point I didn't really knew any of the characters? ASDFGH like the enemy team is super cool and Love their designs but if you ask me to tell you anything about them I already forgot rip. Its still cute and the animation is cool but yeah it kind of disappointed me in the end a bit ;w;

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season

AOT Is so sexci because it keeps on hurting me and I come back every-time for it ASDFGHJ Not much to say that hasn't been said, characters are super interesting, plot is a bit confusing at times for me to follow but amazing and I just :))) could go on about certain characters :))))) but I wont :))))

Wonder Egg Priority

Wonder egg priority is very talked about right now so I wont get too much into it other than definitely give it a watch if you like the more philosophical and “makes you reflect on your life choices” sort of anime ASDFGHJ the visuals are stunning and the characters very well build, although I am very confused at times I am still enjoying it tons ^^ Trigger warning however for some heavy topics I recommend checking the warnings before watching it <3

Kemono Jihen

I LOVE THEM OKaY? asdfghjk Kemono Jihen gives me the found family topes and I eat them all right up, I love the characters , their designs, the plot, everything. To be fair tho, I did enjoy the manga more than the anime but maybe its a pacing thing? idk but I definitely recommend 100% taking on the manga and maybe after watch the anime but I am enjoying it tons!!

Kai Byoui Ramune

This one may come as a surprise lol?? Like I haven't seen a single soul talk about Ramune but like??? I am actually enjoying it a lot?? and look forward every week for the ep? asdfghj Like yes I will be the first to admit the animation isn't really the beeeeest out there but the plot is funny while also being serious, the characters are quirky and interesting to keep the flow going and I am liking the undertone heavy messages? the soundtrack also slaps imo and yeah I would definitely say to watch the first ep and if you like that sort of dynamic take it up on the rest!

I★Chu: Halfway Through the Idol

Okay I will be the first one to admit this is just me being trash for the idol shows but like?? its my list so I get to decide which found family I am screaming about next ASDFGHJ. As an avid A3 stan this gave me serious vibes of my boys (plus they were made form the same company so like not very surprised there loll) and like I think the characters are cute with adorable relationships and cute songs and its just a lighthearted show I sit down every Wednesday and smile through the 25 minutes so yes I Chu deserves a high spot and yes I recommend it even if it has like a 6.3 on myanimelist sksksks

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars

Look at Gen!!!! enough reasons to watch dr stone!!!! ASDFGH but in all seriousness I....... love them okAy? The plot is amazing and the characters are super entertaining (hiiii Ukyo Gen Senku and Chrome muak) and although it may seem a bit slower paced than first season the arc is gonna get better and better and the finale is gonna be great if they stick to the manga. Only sad that I dont get to see my pirate fuckboy but we better be getting a third season

Bungou Stray Dogs Wan!

when I say this is the happiness of all my Tuesdays I ain’t even exaggerating ASDFGHJ Does this have an important plot? no. Is it transcending to animation? not really. Is it BSD content I've been starving for? absolutely!!! Tbh I see my favorite anime characters in chibi version and I go feral, go watch BSD pogg!!

Me?? searching for that one gif of the side ship scene am obsessed over?? more likely than you think ASDFGH Horimiya holds a special place in my heart because it was the first manga I ever read and the nostalgia is stroNG,,,,,, The plot isn't anything really transcending but the way the characters are captured the feelings just,,,,,, stan!! Skate-Leading☆Stars

Okaaaaay this is also me being a bitch for sports anime but like, again, are we surprised?? ASDFGHJ It may be my love for Hayato speaking but ive absolutely loves Skate Leading Stars, I love the group, the main characters, the ships, the routines and its so pretty and they are in love and like the competition and asdfgh its gOoD OKaY??? Watch it if anything for Hayato 👉🏻 👈🏻 My bastard bitch I love the gremlin.

Beastars 2nd Season

I think we are all sleeping on Beastars brushing it off as a furry show. I don’t speak enough about it and I am not one to go about poetic cinemaness on main but beastars is a very poetic cinema show and yall sleeping on it. Coming from someone who was uncomfortable at first with the whole animal relationships part at first, just know beastars is so much more than that, it has a complicated plot with critics about the society within the show with amazing characters, great soundtrack and animation plus banger plot. Pina, Jack, Juno and Legoshi best characters and every week I look forward for the next eps so I hope yall go give it some love.

SK8 The Infinity

If it wasnt clear from my spam every Saturday that I am absolutely in love with this show I dont know what to tell you ASDFGHJ. Sk8 has an amazing range of characters I find fascinating, specially Reki, very much so everything Reki asdfgh but yeah!! Its super entertaining with an interesting plot and its definetely becoming one of my favorite animes because the amount of times ive rewatched the episodes to cope is kind of embarrassing lmaooo, definetely give it a try although I understand its not for everyone but like,,,,, do it for Reki? 🤧👉🏻👈🏻

Thoughts on Akutagawa's fate following ch. 88

Throwing my hat in the ring on this subject following new developments, because as a prior vampire fanatic and Akutagawa Stan I've been trying to come up with some possibilities. I base a lot on themes throughout BSD as well as what we know of the real life authors here, touching a little on vampire tradition. I also feel a bit more confident in these thoughts under the premise that this is the final arc of the series.

Spoilers for the latest chapters/anime only:

There's a lot of debate on whether Akutagawa was truly dead or not before being turned by Stoker. We've seen him and various other characters survive grave injuries without mystical intervention (ie. Yosano), so it's not totally out of the question that he was still technically living at the time. Fictional works with vampires vary tremendously, however when it comes to mythology and legend it tends to be the case that vampires come from the dead. Because of that I believe he did legitimately die, but there's plenty of opportunities for that to change based on BSD lore. Considering we see Gin change over almost instantaneously after Higuchi's attack, it's hard to say that there's time for death to occur before turning, so that process could function differently from being changed via the main source (Stoker in this case).

All the same I'm not entirely shocked over the possibility that Akutagawa will be dead by the end of the series. Before everything became revealed, I was concerned over his respiratory health plus the fact that real life Akutagawa eventually killed himself. Once it was hinted that he would parallel Oda in a way, I felt even less confident that he would make it. We've seen evidence of Akutagawa changing and growing as early as ep. 11 with Higuchi's rescue when he steps up and apologizes to her, and from that point his treatment towards her seems improved/he's not physically or verbally assaulting her anymore. The changes continue as he cooperates with and acts as defense for Atsushi and gives his support to Kyoka in redirecting her path to a meaningful life. Even at times where he's fighting back against Atsushi, he makes statements towards the good Atsushi has in his life and tells him that his past in the orphanage being abused and ridiculed doesn't define who he is today.

We did see a genuine smile from him before going down, so perhaps he does feel enough at ease by saving Atsushi and therefore fulfilling something meaningful to his dedication to Dazai and drive to make him proud, not to say Dazai is the only basis in this action (we likely wouldn't see him smiling if that was the case). Rather than lose them both by not acting, Akutagawa could get Atsushi out of danger to regroup and continue the fight. I've seen others note how his keeping the promise to not kill by just knocking out the man attacking them in the ship led to Fukuchi getting distracted catching up with him and others, allowing Atsushi to properly escape without being tailed. We see in their tremendous capabilities combining Rashomon and Beast Beneath the Moonlight as well as in the cafe scene in the Beast AU that Atsushi and Akutagawa are kindred souls, yin and yang (their hair colors being the most obvious symbolism). In circumstances that do not automatically have them pitted against each other, they laugh and relate to each other, and I feel with that continued freedom they would become incredibly close and be a major source of healing old wounds together.

If inevitably he isn't revived, I think Asagiri will give us a meaningful last scene for Akutagawa. Asagiri has a wonderful way with writing deeply emotional, meaningful scenes, such as Dazai's response to Atsushi over the death of the orphanage director, and in a very major character death I'm confident we'd get the same efforts. Akutagawa's certainly done a lot of evil and destruction in his life yet in the end acted in unity and for the greater good, not just to prove himself or please Dazai. It would be late, but I have a lot of hope on the idea that Dazai would act very symbolically on the matter. Make sure he was laid to rest somewhere meaningful maybe? Hell I go as far to consider that when this arc is over that Dazai may finally commit suicide following Akutagawa's death, just as real life Dazai had, though in this case it being more of Dazai feeling that he did his part in becoming good, saving the innocent while combating evil, and forgoing his past rather than as an act of grief. Dazai creates a lot of humor surrounding his mental illness, but it is a major point to his character pulled directly from the real Dazai. Once again referring to the Beast AU, he follows through with committing suicide once he has done his part in the universe to bring Atsushi and Akutagawa together and to give Oda the chance to live peacefully, even if it means losing his friendship.

So that's my major thoughts there! Feel free to share any thoughts on the subject(s), and we'll see in the coming months how things begin to progress!

Tohru switched from okaasan (mother) to okattekita (a formal past tense verb meaning either “bought”, “lent” or “won” based on the characters…which I don’t have a reference for). I assume because it was so off the mark, the subbers chose a similarly off the mark word.

BSD S5 EP 10 + EP 11 PREVIEW

Ok, so. I didn't write a thing screaming about the last episode because I was watching it in a rush while I should've been writing homework, and I went to do my homework immediately after finishing the episode and if I don't write something during my just watched the episode high then i won't have the motivation to write it at all. I also haven't reblogged anything about the episode because my brain was saying I should write a thoughts post before doing that. I'm also telling you all this right now because my brain is for some reason telling me that the people deserve an explanation even though I'm pretty sure there is nobody anxiously awaiting to hear specifically my thoughts about episodes.

Onto my actual thoughts on the episode now. It was good! Sigma and Dazai didn't kiss on screen but it sure looked like they were about to so I'm taking that as a win! Anyways the animation in that scene was just really pretty.

Then we've got Aya and Bram! They were delightful. Bram saying that garlic sucks was wonderful. God, I hope everything turns out well for them.

Akutagawa and Atsushi reunited! and Akutagawa didn't look ugly as hell! That frame where Aku was reaching his hand out to Atsushi was immaculate.

Sigma and Fyodor! It was cool! Fyodor looked so cute in that one frame when he was pretending to be someone else.

And of course the soukoku scene, damn they did that part well! the emotion! come back to me (ME<-!!)(gayass) chuuya! It was great.

Episode 10 was pretty good! And now, time to discuss the Preview!
