Care to explain to /swapauanon that Jaune did NOT murder Penny, which he seems so adamantly convinced happened?
I. Am. Not. Your. Attack. Dog.
I will do this but know that I will be keeping an eye on that blog in case you try using my words to attack them.
The thing about murder is that the technical definition (the act of killing another person with a  malicious plan or forethought in mind and without a reason) and the connotation (killing another person with malicious intent and no provocation) is that it requires MALICE. Jaune did not maliciously kill Penny. He also doesn’t qualify for man slaughter since Jaune was ASKED by Penny to kill her so she can die on her own terms.
Jaune’s actions do not fit these things. Stop trying to force it.

Roast Tumblr in general.
Hm, easy one-
Tumblr, one of the testaments to mankind's ability to do so much and yet accomplish so little. How many changes has this site gone through that has done jackall? The color changes, the user interface changes, that one beta that seems to have died out, the fucking porn ban. How much shit has the staff pushed that got immediately undone by Xkit or just came and went?
Let's talk about that 'porn ban' though, even though calling it that would be a joke. What really happened was that some shit got deemed family unfriendly (including Tumblr's own announcement of said ban) before quietly fading away as evident by the sizeable amount of porn and fuckbots that still exist on this thing. The only thing that was actually changed was a bunch of people panicked about a team that couldn't ban the word fuck from Sesame Street to protect their nutsacks and proceeded to jump ship onto other platforms. Which ironically made it so the one accomplishment that Tumblr had to it's name, the 'biggest cesspool on the internet outside of Kiwifarms and /pol/', was claimed by literally every other mainstream motherfucker on the planet.
You'd think that would mean Tumblr would become the most tolerable platform we got...if not for the updates making everything more and more unappealing while managing to do nothing noteworthy. Sure the word limits that gut fanfics and the shitty loading of images can be funny for a while but you adapt so quickly to these they just become background noise to the userbase while new users get off put and quickly swallow shit somewhere else, especially when you realize it still has the same fucking death threats and blocking culture literally everyone else has too so why bother?
To say Tumblr is a hellsite would be giving it too much credit because Hell can accomplish something. This place is an empty circus tent where you can down some shrooms and pretend there's some clowns until you adapt and realize you're only here because you can't be bothered to leave.

So, inspired by Shuttershocky’s own character opinions, I think I’ll start doing my own.
And no, I’m not doing Mordred first. She comes later.
Nah, considering a certain Ruler’s recent reveal, I think I’ll talk about a certain Shirou-face.
Tumblr media
So quick overview of Angra Mainju-
Hes not actually the Zoroastrian god of Evil. No, he’s actually more like Sasaki Kojiro- The guy who the myth of Angra Mainju is BASED off of. He was just some ordinary villager who drew the shortest of straws and was used as a scapegoat for the sins of his villagers, tortured for decades until he died of old age. Because of this, he has a pretty nasty hatred of humanity. Which you would think would disqualify him from being a Heroic Spirit (I mean, logically who would consider him a hero?) but it’s said that his torture put the villagers at ease, meaning he did technically do a heroic deed and thus was preserved by the Throne of Heroes.
In the Third Holy Grail War, the Einsberns tried to summon the evil god but, for a multitude of reasons that include it not existing in the first place, they got him instead. Problem? The guy isn’t a normal hero, he’s a village boy who got tortured. He doesn’t have any special powers or even a proper Noble Phantasm. So of course, he gets his ass kicked. But thing is, he was so weak the Grail thought he was a human and thus tried to grant his wish.
Which was to actually BECOME All The World’s Evil.
And so the Grail tried to do it...but things got fucky. So the next two wars are basically just attempts at bring his wish to life. He...kind of exists here? Issue is that in Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night, Angra Mainju is more a force of nature or a being of pure evil rather than the tortured village boy he actually is. So for simplicity’s sake AND due to how radically different ‘All The World’s Evil’ is- I’ll just skip over his supposed presence in those two and move on.
Despite his wished for form’s destruction in Fate/Stay Night, Angra Mainju survived. In fact, his time as “All The World’s Evil” turned him into a proper Heroic Spirit, giving him an actual Noble Phantasm and actual status as a Heroic Spirit. Here, he gains a sort of obsession with granting wishes. So he goes around looking for someone’s wish to grant. During this time, he finds Bazett Frega McRemitz (AKA The ACTUAL Master of Cu Chulanin before Kirei decided to do what he does best: Fuck people over) dying, wishing not to die. And thus, Angra Mainju does his best to keep her alive. For 6 months, this meant keeping her alive but in a vegetative state.
After being discovered by Caren Hortensia (Kirei’s daughter. ... This is kind of important later), this meant keeping her alive AND sustaining her consciousness. To do this, he creates Fate/Hollow Ataraxia’s four day loop (the same length of time he survived his war.) Through this, he tricks Bazett into thinking that she’s participating in the Fifth Holy Grail War. Issue being, Angra knows little more than jackshit about said war so what ends up happening is that he uses the Third Grail War structure with Fifth Grail War players as stand-ins. He is also only active with Bazett at night, the catch being that the person that the player thinks they’re controlling (Shirou) is actually an unaware Angra, living out his own wish of a normal life.
At first, Angra is just being selfish and indulging himself during this time. However, over time, his interactions with the people in Shirou’s life, Shirou’s own influence over him (as having lost his identity, he effectively needs to adopt another’s to exist) and, most importantly, his new found relationship with Bazett and Caren causes him to try and end the four day loop. This going against his Master’s wishes, as she fears that she will die due to finding out about the loop and losing Avenger, who is assumed to become nothing once again. However, he manages to convince her by revealing he really did save her life and that she had to move on. So at the end, he and Bazett race to opposite ends of the Grail, Bazett back to life and Angra Mainju embracing oblivion once again.
So...yeah. Pretty heavy stuff even with me skipping some stuff.
We only really learn about Angra Mainju in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, since that’s where we truly meet him as a person. And at the beginning...he’s not a good person. Avengers in general are known for being highly destructive, malicious and dangerous Servants because their Class effectively puts them on edge at all times, constant consumed by hate. As the first Avenger, Angra both embodies this and subverts it at the same time.
Yes he is consumed by hate. ... But said hate is not an emotional state like other Avengers. His hate is his nature by the point we meet him. Meaning he isn’t on edge like his fellows, he isn’t clouded by extreme emotion. For all his cynicism and malice, he’s by far the calmest and most rational Avenger we have seen so far. Which makes some of his actions (like killing a family to draw out his enemies) come across as even worse than normal since he isn’t openly insane. Even beyond this, Angra is a sarcastic asshole who loves fucking with people and being insulting.
However, as things go on, as he lives the life of Shirou Emiya and the Servant of Bazett, he gets better. Sure, he’s still rude as all hell. But the guy does show he cares about Bazett and thinks about her well being. He falls in love with Caren, who does love him back (if you’re wondering how: I believe it’s implied Caren suffers from the same condition Kirei did in regards to empathy. So makes sense she’d love an embodiment of hate and vengence) and he did enjoy living as Shirou, revealing that beneath the hate that became his nature- He’s just a normal guy who got SEVERELY fucked over. Hell, when Medusa was on the verge of morphing into Gorgon, Angra walks by and talks to her. He gives her a speech on what it means to be a monster and ends up helping her prevent her transformation, even though having her become a monster would help him make people suffer (and maybe even someone who understands him, as Gorgon is an Avenger herself.)
Just as his lack of emotional distress makes his evil actions worse, it also means he’s capable of change and becoming good. He learns love and care despite having lived a life no one could even comprehend, forced into a Class that is more like a curse than an honor. Despite his hatred of humanity, he still believes in it somewhat. He adopts some of Shirou’s heroic traits through living his life. And at the very end, this jackass who started things off by killing random innocents...ends up making the ultimate sacrifice, one where he gains nothing but loses everything, where he really doesn’t want to do it...all because he came to care for Bazett.
I’ll admit, I sobbed at the end.
Now, Angra isn’t really used in any serious manner after this. He appears in the Accel/Zero and Christmas in the Underworld events...mostly as jokes. However, I would like to note his Bond 10 Craft Essence. These CEs are effectively summations of the characters themselves. For example, Mordred’s Bond 10 effectively sums up her identity issues. And Angra Mainju’s?
It’s all about how he was a necessary evil, his life taken from him, hatred burned into him...
...and how Caren, despite seeing it all, still loved him.
And the CEs effect? A Guts buff and the ability to hurt Beast class enemies in a way no other Servant can replicate.
In essence, that love gives him the ability to keep living (with his strongest skill KILLING him btw) and to more effectively protect the world. And considering how the Beasts are related to humanity, it might just be because that love made him human again.
In short, Angra Mainju is a person forced into a role, his nature overwritten by his torture, cursed by fate because of others, indulging in his role because it’s all he knows-
And yet, even he finds a way to become a better person. All culminating in a sacrifice that can only be described as ‘Heroic’.
He truly is a Heroic Spirit.

“DUR, GUN OWNERS CANT HANDLE GUN LAWS BUT KIDS HANDLE SHOOTY DRILLS!”
... You do know most shootings are done with ILLEGAL guns right? As in, laws don’t affect their purchases because they don’t FOLLOW the law? So the only people restricted are the rare dude buying a gun legally for illegal things...and the common man buying a gun for ANY NUMBER of reasons?

If you ever wanna know how 'critical' the RWBYcritics subreddit is-
One person posted a transcript for the commentary for RWBY Volume 8, where they called Jaune's scream at killing Penny 'screaming in self insert man pain'.
And the comments was SOLELY people circlejerking.
... What do YOU think?

2017: Year in Review pt. 1/??
After compiling most of the notable pictures of the year and hoping to make a nice twitter thread as is the bandwagon, I’ve decided to do this year-end reflection survey instead, since a) I was a bit too lazy to organize my thoughts, and b) surveys!!! This was the shit back in the multiply days.
What one event, big or small, are you going to tell your grandchildren about?
I’m going to cheat on this a bit because two events came to mind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TRP - Two-peat Championship! Once again, batch 2020 proved itself legendary. TRP chorale season was extra memorable this year because I ran for the position of Music Head. Fed, my predecessor, warned me that scheduling rehearsals was especially a logistical nightmare, with last year’s different schedules for Blocks A and B. What more for LU5′s eight blocks, right?
I think there were three main challenges we had to go through for this to happen. The first was the very beginning -- the creation of the song itself. There was an added pressure since our piece last year was deemed the best, and even the same composer and arranger had a difficult time creating one for our last chance to grace the stage. We had two nights of brainstorming at Fed’s place (with free Angel’s pizza... and an out-of-post PER ICC huhu).
Tumblr media
As far as I remember, he was already on his fifth or so attempt to make a song as the first ones garnered negative reviews. It was hard to get inspiration unlike last year where he was just especially moved after a lecture in Ther. In his words, pigang piga na siya. We were also having creative differences which really hindered us from making any real progress. Fortunately, on the second night, we finally overcame this with a switch to major chords and a great concept from James, giving birth to our wonderful chorus with the lines,
Bawat segundong nilaan, bawat hirap nalampasan,
Katumbas ng buhay na maliligtas.
...which tied very well with the theme, Orasa: Ang Dakilang Maestro.
The second challenge was actually a personal one. I got a taste of this logistical nightmare that Fed spoke of. It was particularly nerve-wracking especially for an irresponsible person like me, who has always clung to the clutch life. Getting venues for rehearsals was the main problem for this. Our choices were limited (MSU, Paz Men, Student Lounge, Tipunan) and in high demand, because many groups had to rehearse for TRP. It was my first time to attempt reserving a Paz Men room, which was surprisingly a lot of work -- needing to go to the Dean’s Office to check the availability of the rooms, go all the way up to the eighth floor of PGH to get it approved, go to the Cashier’s Office in OUR, and then go back to the Dean’s Office for them to confirm the payment, and then finally to Paz Men to submit the permit. But wait, there’s more! It actually cost a lot of money, which was the worst part, for me. #WeNeedSpace !!! I used my own money, which I was going to reimburse, but then we won, so... yeah, my treat then. (No one knew anyway heheh.) After all that, Paz Men obviously got scrapped from possible venues. I then had to coordinate with the MSC and MedChoir to get the free ones, being careful not to affect the batch dance schedule as much as possible.
You can then imagine getting all that work done, albeit very crammed which was entirely my fault, and then getting a poor turnout for rehearsals with just mere weeks before the competition (oh and that stupid ASEAN week which took more precious time away), to be quite disappointing, to say the least. The schedules of the different blocks and other TRP practices just couldn’t fit. This leads us to the third problem, which was to get the class motivated. This was my first reason for running to head the whole thing anyway -- I really just wanted to get the class together and to sing their hearts out once again! Thankfully, with a few motivational messages from me and our conductor, Joker, that I’m sure every one in the batch admired and respected, the attendance started going up, with one week to go.
Tumblr media
My babies. (Sorry for the distorted faces.)
One of the final practices in particular really just transformed the song. I asked the class to do a simple exercise of singing to each other. They had to stand in a circle so they could look at each other’s faces. It was funny and awkward at first, but it was the first time I heard the piece sung with heart, and I knew they felt it too!
There were some issues with the final scoring during the competition itself, and I honestly wasn’t quite sure how to take it. But seeing how my batchmates rejoiced and hearing the audience do the winner clap (THIS IS LEGIT THOUGH HEHE) made me feel like we really deserved the win. Very grateful for the talented and hardworking music team and my bibo batchmates!
Tumblr media
Abendlied: An Evening of Songs for the Benefit of Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus -- our year-end concert for A.Y. 2016-2018. It was my first time to sing for a benefit concert. We took this opportunity not only to share our love for choral music, but also to spread awareness of SLE, a rather common condition found in PGH. I was very proud of how big this event has gotten -- thanks to sponsored boosts and our first time to get media partners (and, admittedly, our high ticket prices), we were able to procure a few hundred thousands, a part of which was donated to the PGH Lupus Club.
UP MedChoir always has a lot of major and minor events like these, but I’d choose this to share to my grandkids because in this concert, I really felt that I was blessed with talent that could help others. (Oh, which just reminded me of something, haha. Maybe it’ll get featured later, or in some other post.)
If you had to describe your 2017 in 3 words, what would they be?
Mistakes, lessons, cycle. I repeatedly did a shit ton of mistakes this year, with repercussions not only for me, but regrettably to the people around me. This came with the responsibilities I chose to accept this year. But heck, I’m proud of myself for accepting and embracing these new roles. I was brave enough to challenge myself. #characterdevelopment
What new things did you discover about yourself?
Oh, man. Haha. One of the things I discovered was that I am quite quick to forgive and forget. And then one day, some stimulus will come that will take me all the way back to when it hurt. A lot. Many of the tears shed this year were still in relation to the past aches of 2016.
What single achievement are you most proud of?
I am proud of always finding reasons to stay.
For one, there was a time when I really, really wanted to quit MedChoir. I felt that it was taking too much of my time and energy, and was also taking a toll on my mental health. There were many days with triggers, days where I just couldn’t manage to perform well, days where I was always on the brink of crying during rehearsals. It’s not supposed to be that way, I thought. There has to be another reason of staying besides the fact that I was needed. But then I saw some post saying that continuous pressure can make you hate doing the things you love. I have forgotten what turned me around during this time -- probably my friends, or taking a step back to appreciate the music like I once did. Or just the energy that we get from each other. Whatever it was, I’m glad I stayed.
I’m also proud of myself for staying in med school. Not that I actually have the choice to leave anyway, what with the millions my family would have to pay. But the thing is, I actually want to stay now. (Well, most of the time.) I’ve always feared that maybe the doctor life isn’t for me, but this ICC year has proven otherwise. Although a big factor of this is that we’re still babies in the hospital, the mere baby steps of actually enjoying interviewing, examining, and just getting to know patients was life-changing for me.
What was the best news you received?
I can think of two off the top of my head. The first, that one of our Christmas gigs got us an unexpected @@ thousand pesos (so that was around @@ thousand per song... what???), and the second was the news that one of my aunts was going to adopt a baby. This has some MMK style plot behind it, by the way -- politics, cheating, and whatnot. It didn’t push through, though. I hope that baby lives well.
What was your favourite place that you visited in 2017?
South Korea, no question!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1) Day 4 - The Garden of the Morning Calm. This day was my favorite. Our morning was spent in the astoundingly beautiful Nami Island. Picturesque. Trees, nature, ...and a very ideal place for dating, haha! For all ages pa. We saw couples young and old, holding hands while walking. This was where we made a pact that we’ll go back to Korea when we all got our own SO’s. That night we went to The Garden of the Morning Calm, where I thought the expanse of land decorated with lights just wouldn’t end! It really seemed like a different world back there.
2) Day 2 - Palace hopping! We went to the Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces. We joined the free English guided tour of the places and learned a lot. We even joked about making it like an SGD, like the bibo kids we are, hungry for learning. Haha! Photo (c) Bana
3) Day 1 - My travel buddies, Bana and Reg. For our first day, we walked around the makeup and skincare heaven that is Myeongdong and ate a lot of oh so glorious streetfood.
4) Day 3 - We went to the Namsan Tower to cap off the day... Featuring the toilet that got away.
I’m so so so glad this trip pushed through, na nakaldkad ako nina Bana and Reg to this land! I wasn’t even a hardcore Kdrama fan and I think I was initially invited just because Gio was supposed to go as well, haha. But these two welcomed me to their group, and it was such a beautiful experience! Lots of walking, sites, damn Korean couples, and food!!!!!!!!!!! These pictures are just a preview of the places we’ve been to, and the photoshoots we have so shamelessly done. Here’s our itinerary from Bana’s blog, and photos from Bana’s album, and my album!
Which of your personal qualities turned out to be the most helpful this year?
I honestly don’t know, haha. Whenever I’m asked about my strengths, I tend to think of my weaknesses instead. For this, maybe the best answer is my openness to try new things. Or just that I really tend to appreciate some people and experiences in my life. I’m in no way consistent in any of these qualities, but during the occasions that I am such, I could really feel the difference.
Who was your number one go-to person that you could always rely on?
This constant used to be Gio. After he left, I can’t say that I really have that single go-to person. Nevertheless, I could often rely on #clingy2020 and our thorough SGD’s whenever we’re going through a rough patch. How Digital Marketing Will Change in 2019
Tumblr media
Digital marketing is going to change drastically in 2019. And sadly, you aren’t going to like a lot of the changes.
And no, I don’t mean change from a competition standpoint. You already know that each year marketing gets more expensive and more competitive. That’s just a given.
Just look at the graph above: that’s Google’s annual revenue. As you can see, during the last recession, Google made more and more money. They didn’t even have a down year.
One of the big reasons we are seeing digital marketing change so much is because of the adoption of new technologies. But also because the web is getting saturated… there are 1,805,260,010 websites on the web.
That means there is 1 website for every 4 people in this world. That’s crazy!
So, let’s dive into it… here’s how digital marketing is going to change this year.
Drastic Change #1: SEO won’t look the same
I’m starting with this one because I know you are going to hate this. SEO is moving to voice search.
In 2018, 2 out of every 5 adults used voice search once per day. But in 2020, 50% of all searches will be done through voice search according to ComScore.
And it won’t just be people speaking into their microphone on their cell phone or laptop, 30% of web browsing won’t even take place on a device with a screen. That means more people will be searching through devices like Google Home or Alexa.
I know you don’t like this because every time I blog about voice search, no one really reads the article. It’s one of those topics that SEOs just wish didn’t exist.
Why?
Well, being on page 1 doesn’t matter when it comes to voice search. Either Google pulls from your website or they don’t.
And secondly, conversions from voice search will be lower because people won’t be going to your website. Google will just be giving them the answer. At least, until we can figure out how to solve this as marketers.
But instead of looking at voice search as a bad thing, just think of it this way, no one cares to read articles about it, which means most SEOs won’t be prepared for it.
This is your chance to get ahead of your competition and gobble up that traffic before the market shifts into using voice.
Here are some articles that will teach you how to maximize your voice search traffic:
The Definitive Guide to Voice Search
How to Optimize for Voice Search (4 Simple Strategies)
How to Get Extra Traffic From Voice Search
Drastic Change #2: Expect algorithm updates to be more complex
According to the Moz algorithm changelog, there were 12 updates in 2018.
Although it sounds like a lot, it isn’t. In 2017 there were 13 updates and in 2016 there were 11. In other words, Google has been averaging 12 updates per year if you combined the confirmed updates with the “unconfirmed” ones.
But let’s look at the older updates…
On July 17, 2015, Google released Panda 4.2. I know you may have hated the Panda update, but it wasn’t too bad. All Google did doing was get rid of spammy sites with low-quality content.
They didn’t want to rank sites that had thousands of 300-word blog posts with duplicate content.
Could you blame them for that?
And what about the change Google made on September 27, 2016, the Penguin 4.0 update?
If you built spammy links, they no longer would just penalize you, in most cases, they would devalue those links instead.
That means if you did something shady like buy a ton of backlinks and get caught, those links would just be de-valued instead of causing your whole site to get banned.
Now if you look at the latest algorithm updates, they are getting more complex and harder to beat. And it’s because technology is evolving so fast.
Google no longer has to just look at metrics like content and backlink count to figure out if a site ranks well. They can look at user metrics, such as:
Are users spending more time on your site than the other ranked sites on Google?
Are people bouncing off your site and heading back to the Google listing page?
Are your brand queries increasing over time? Or do people not see you as a brand?
Do people find your site more appealing… in other words, is your click-through-rate higher?
If you want to beat Google, you have to shift your mindset. It’s not about understanding Google, it’s about understanding users.
Google has one goal: to rank sites that users love the most at the top. That causes people to come back, keep using Google, and increase their overall revenue.
If you can put yourself in your users’ shoes, you’ll be better suited to do that.
The first step in doing this is to realize that when someone performs a search for any keyword, they aren’t just “performing a search,” they are looking for a solution to their problem.
By understanding the intent of their search, you’ll be more likely and able to solve their problems. You can use tools like Ubersuggest to help you with it as it will show you long tail phrases (problems people are trying to solve for).
Once you do that, you’ll be able to create the best experience, the best product, or even service that people deserve.
This is how you make your site continually rank well in the long run even as they make their algorithm more complex.
Drastic Change #3: You can’t build a company off of 1 channel
You familiar with Dropbox?
Of course, you are, it’s a multi-billion-dollar company… and you probably have it installed on your computer.
When they first came out, they tried to acquire users through Google AdWords. Can you guess how much it cost them to acquire a customer?
It ranged between $200 and $300.
Do you know how much Dropbox costs?
$60 a year.
The math doesn’t work out. Why would you spend $200 to acquire a user who only pays $60?
Even when someone pays you $60, it’s not all profit. Because of that, Dropbox had to grow using growth hacking.
Tumblr media
Dropbox gives you more free space the more users you invite. Thats a great example of growth hacking. And it’s how they grew into a multi-billion-dollar company.
Nowadays, if you created a similar invite flow within your company, it won’t work that well. You can no longer build a company using one channel like how Dropbox grew.
And do you remember how Facebook grew?
When you signed up, they would tap into your email address book and send out an email to every single one of your contacts inviting them to use Facebook, even if you didn’t want them to.
Tumblr media
That one channel helped Facebook grow into the multi-hundred-billion-dollar company that we know today.
Nowadays, if you get an email saying your friend is inviting you to join a new site or social network, you’ll probably just ignore it.
Again, you no longer can build a big business leveraging only one marketing channel.
So, what does that mean for you?
First of all, popular marketing channels that are profitable get saturated fast and you are going to have a lot of competitors.
Due to that, you have to leverage all channels. From content marketing and paid ads to social media marketing and SEO to email marketing… you have to leverage all channels out there.
It’s your only option to doing well in the long run.
One channel won’t make your business anymore. But if you combine them all, you can still grow your business.
And hey, if something happens to one channel like an algorithm change, at least your business won’t go down too much because you are diversified.
No matter how much you love one form of marketing, never rely on it. Adopt an omnichannel approach.
Drastic Change #4: Blogging won’t work too well
I got into this a little bit at the top… the web is saturated. There are just way too many sites.
Sure, most of those 1.8 billion sites aren’t being updated and a lot are dormant.
Now out of those 1.8 billion sites, roughly 1 billion of them are blogs. That’s roughly 1 blog for every 7 people out there.
When I started my first blog in 2005, there weren’t as many people online creating sites or producing content. There also weren’t as many people using Google.
Nevertheless, Google loved content. Everyone was saying how content is king because if you produce high-quality articles Google would rank them due to one simple fact… they lacked content in their index.
But as time went by, Google no longer had a shortage of content. I would even go as far to say that there is too much content for them to choose from.
For that reason, they can be pickier if they want to rank your website or not. It’s not just about backlinks or optimizing your on-page code, it’s about providing what’s best for the end user.
That means Google is going to rank fresh content that isn’t regurgitated.
If you want to take the route of just writing dozens of articles each way and trying to rank for everything under the sun, you can. It’s still possible, but it will take more time and it will be harder as there is more competition.
More so, the way content marketing is changing in 2019, and we saw a little of this in 2018, is that you need to update your content.
No longer can your strategy be to write a lot of content. You are going to have to plan on updating your content on a regular basis.
For example, I have one person who works for me full time going through my old blog posts to update them. Also, I now only have time to write once piece of content each week. There is no way I can go through my blog and update over a thousand blog posts.
You’re going to have to do the same if you want to maintain your search traffic. If you are established and have an old blog, spend half your time updating your old content. If you are a new blog, you don’t really need to spend more than 5% of your time updating your old content.
Drastic Change #5: You’ll need to focus on new search engines and new content types
We can all agree that text-based content is saturated.
If you don’t agree with me, just scroll back up to Drastic Change #4 😉
We all know it takes forever to rank on Google. If you aren’t willing to give it a year, you shouldn’t spend much time doing traditional SEO.
What if I told you there was another form of SEO in which you can see results very, very fast?
So fast, that within 30 days (or even a few days!) you can rank at the top. And, better yet, those rankings mean you will get traffic.
Just look at my search traffic from this different kind of search engine:
Tumblr media
Can you guess that what search engine this is?
YouTube!
I generate 198,380 views every month from YouTube search. And those people watch my content for an average of 559,237 minutes a month.
I’m generating over 388 days of watch time each month just from YouTube search. That’s crazy!
YouTube isn’t nearly as competitive as Google. Nor is optimizing for the iTunes store if you have a podcast.
Don’t just focus your efforts on Google.
Focus your efforts on less-saturated forms of content like video and audio while optimizing for less common search engines like YouTube and iTunes.
Plus, these new channels have a very lucrative audience as they are engaged. Did you know that 45% of podcast listeners have a household income of $75,000 or more?
Here are some articles that’ll help you out:
How to Hack YouTube SEO
How to Create a YouTube Traffic Jam
Is YouTube Marketing Really Worth It?
How to Improve Your iTunes Rankings
iTunes SEO: What Works Now
If you don’t have a big marketing budget no worries. These channels aren’t as expensive or competitive yet. You also don’t need a studio to film or record. You can just bust out your iPhone and start recording yourself.
Believe it or not, a lot of people prefer that over studio quality content as it is more authentic.
Drastic Change #6: Budgets will start shifting into conversion rate optimization
At the beginning of this post, I broke down Google’s yearly revenue.
As you can see it has continually increased even during recessionary periods.
Sure, some of it has to do with more people coming online. But also, the cost per click is rising.
Same with Facebook Ads. I literally know hundreds of affiliates who used to make over a million dollars a year in income because Facebook Ads were so affordable.
But in June/July 2017, Facebook crossed a point where they had more advertisers than inventory… at least in the United States.
Over time, that trend continued into other countries, which mean Facebook Ad costs drastically increased.
Just look at the graph below. As you can see, companies spend the majority of their budget on Google AdWords and Facebook Ads.
Tumblr media
Now let’s look at what channel produces the highest ROI. Can you guess what it is?
Tumblr media
SEO, right?
Although the chart shows SEO produces the biggest ROI, in reality, it is the second runner up.
What’s hard to see because it is classified as “other” in the chart and it is grouped with other marketing channels, is conversion rate optimization. And that channel produced the biggest ROI by far. It beat SEO by leaps and bounds.
It was just hard to see that because not enough companies spend money on conversion rate optimization. And when they do, it is a very small portion of their budget.
In 2019, start running A/B tests. Whether you use Crazy Egg or any other solution out there, don’t forget to include it in your marketing arsenal.
Drastic Change #7: Marketers will learn what funnels are
You may have heard of marketing funnels or sales funnels, but I bet you aren’t using them.
And no, a funnel isn’t something as simple an email sequence.
Because ads are getting more expensive, you’ll find yourself doing things like running more A/B tests (as I mentioned above), but it will only help so much.
As your competition also starts running A/B tests, you’ll find that ad prices will go up again.
So, what should you do?
You are going to have to upsell and downsell your visitors. I learned this tactic from Ryan Deiss years ago and he was spot on.
The best way to generate revenue isn’t to get more customers, it’s to get more money out of your existing customers.
Sure, your customer base is only going to spend so much. But if you offer upsells and downsells you can see increases in revenue from 10% to 30%. And some cases you’ll even double your revenue.
The key points with upselling and downselling are as follows:
Offer at least 2 or 3 upsells (or downsells).
If people don’t take the offer, considering offering the same offer again with monthly installments.
The best offers are speed and automation. In other words, if you can help people get results faster or in an automated way, they are much more likely to take it. People are lazy and impatient, hence speed and automation always win when it comes to upsells.
At this point you are probably wondering how to do all of this upselling or downselling, right?
You have to build a marketing funnel. The good news is, you don’t have to hire a developer, you can use solutions like Click Funnels and Samcart.
They are easy to use, and you can get started in minutes.
Conclusion
Expect 2019 to be a crazy year. What worked once, won’t work in 2019.
Technology is more sophisticated and with things like machine learning and artificial intelligence knocking at the door, we are going to be on a crazy rollercoaster.
Don’t be afraid, though!
If you take the concepts above and start working on them now, you are going to be in for a much smoother ride with fewer downs and more ups.
So what do you think is going to change in 2019?

That’s a great example of growth hacking.
Here are some articles that’ll help you out:

iTunes SEO: What Works Now
If you don’t have a big marketing budget no worries.

Jack Renshaw (pictured above) had admitted engaging in conduct in preparation for a terrorist act and making threats to kill
A neo-Nazi who plotted to kill a Labour MP with a machete is a convicted paedophile who was jailed last year for trying to groom two underage boys, it can be revealed today.
Jack Renshaw admitted purchasing a 19-inch replica Roman sword to assassinate Rosie Cooper, the MP for West Lancashire, after he was arrested on suspicion of child sex offences last year.
The 23-year-old, from Skelmersdale in Lancashire, also pleaded guilty to making a threat to kill detective Victoria Henderson, who was investigating him for grooming, but denied membership of National Action.
Today a jury at his re-trial failed to reach a verdict on whether Renshaw remained a member of the far-right terrorist group after it was banned.
But it can now be reported that the former BNP youth leader is a convicted paedophile who was jailed last June for 16 months after he groomed two underage boys – aged between 13 and 15 at time – using a fake Facebook profile.
Jurors at Preston Crown Court found him guilty of four counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He was jailed in June 2018 for 16 months for the grooming.
Picture above shows swords recovered by police from the ringleader of banned Neo Nazi terror group National Action
Jack Renshaw (pictured above) had previously attended National Action rallies before plotting to kill an MP
He also received a three-year prison sentence two months earlier when he was found guilty of stirring up racial hatred after he called for the genocide of Jewish people.
Jack Renshaw had plotted to kill Rosie Cooper (pictured outside the Old Bailey)
National Action leader Christopher Lythgoe, 32, of Warrington, and his right-hand man Matthew Hankinson, 24, from Merseyside, who were present when Renshaw outlined his plans, were convicted of membership last year.
The plan was scuppered by whistle-blower Robbie Mullen, who was at a meeting in a pub when Renshaw announced that he was going to kill Ms Cooper in July 2017.
It came just a year after Labour MP Jo Cox was stabbed and shot by a fellow far-right extremist, Thomas Mair.
National Action is the first extreme right-wing group to be proscribed by the Government since the Second World War.
In December 2016, it was banned by the then home secretary Amber Rudd over its support for the murder of Batley and Spen MP Ms Cox.
The North West contingent continued to meet in pubs and train together at a new mixed martial arts gym in Warrington, it was alleged.
Mrs Justice McGowan remanded Renshaw in custody ahead of sentence on a date to be fixed.
Renshaw was arrested on 11 January 2017 for stirring up racial hatred in relation to two speeches he made, and as a part of the investigation his phone was examined.
DC Henderson discovered evidence of Renshaw’s perverted affairs with the underage boys and arrested him again on 19 May.
Renshaw had told DC Henderson in interview that she was fabricating evidence for ‘the two worst things anyone could be – a homosexual and a paedophile’.
He was released on bail and began researching DC Henderson in preparation for the revenge attack.
The paedophile was so determined to stop the detective revealing his paedophilia that he plotted to kill his local MP in a pub, take hostages and lure in Ms Henderson to silence her before committing ‘suicide by cop’.
Who is Jack Renshaw and what are his offences?
1995 – Was born in Ormskirk
2010 – Moves to Blackpool and becomes involved with the EDL and joins the BNP aged 15 against his parents’ wishes
September 2013 – Studies politics at Manchester Metropolitan University and becomes the face of the BNP Youth
2014 – Declares in a blog that Jewish people are traitors and should be killed. He also appears in a video titled ‘BNP Youth Fight Back’
September 2015 – Is forced to leave university after an investigation into his incitement of racial hatred
April 2016 – He called for counter protesters at a rally in Blackpool to be put ‘in the chambers’ and called Nazism ‘natures politics’
Yorkshire Forum for Nationalists 2016 – tells people that Hitler was wrong in showing Jewish people mercy
November 2016 – Faces criminal charges over incitement to racial hatred
January 11 2017 – Arrested for hate crimes and terror offences after the arrest of National Action members across the UK
January 19 May 2017 – arrested for child grooming
July 1 2017 – tells friends he would murder Rosie Cooper and take hostages in a pub
July 5 2017 – charged by the CPS under pressure from the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism
April 2018 – found guilty of stirring up racial hatred after calling for the genocide of Jewish people
June 2018 – jailed for 16 months for grooming
April 2 2019 – trial for membership of National Action where the jury was unable to reach a verdict
He told the Old Bailey he spent just under a month planning to kill Ms Cooper to ‘send the state a message’.
Renshaw had criticised Adolf Hitler for what he believed was showing Jewish people ‘mercy’.
Jurors heard a speech he delivered to the Yorkshire Forum for Nationalists in 2016 in which he said: ‘I do actually have some problem with the statement ‘Hitler was right’ in many senses but you know where he was wrong?
‘He showed mercy. He showed mercy to people who did not deserve mercy.
‘As nationalists, we need to learn from the mistakes of the National Socialists and we need to realise that no, you do not show the Jew mercy.’
Renshaw had planned to make a ‘white jihad’ video explaining his motives for the terror attack. But he was arrested on 5 July 2017.
Renshaw was convicted of four counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, between February 2016 and January 2017, and two counts of inciting racial hatred.
He had also conducted internet searches during May 2017 in relation to cutting of the jugular artery and how long it would take to die after suffering such a wound in preparation for his plan.
The plan was foiled by whistle blower Robbie Mullen, who was at a meeting in a pub when Renshaw announced that he was going to kill Ms Cooper in July 2017.
After the pub meeting, Mr Mullen, from Widnes, Cheshire, reported the threat to Hope Not Hate and Renshaw was arrested.
Mr Mullen, who was granted immunity from prosecution, told jurors: ‘He said he was going to kill his local MP, Rosie Cooper. I said ‘Are you sure?’ and he said ‘Yeah’.
‘He said he would kill her, then try to take some hostages to lure the police officer that was investigating him to try to kill her because she was the reason behind it all.
‘He said his mind was made up. He had bought a machete.’
Renshaw said he would wear a fake suicide vest so he would be killed by police, Mr Mullen added.
The defendant declined to give evidence in his retrial, but in his first trial last year explained his reasons for targeting Ms Cooper.
He said: ‘I wanted to send a message to the state that if you beat a dog long enough it bites – she just happened to be my local MP.’
Case of missing Blackpool girl sparked Renshaws’ far-right involvement
Charlene Downes (pictured above) went missing when she was 14-years-old
Jack Renshaw’s interest in far-right politics was ignited when extremist groups sought to exploit the case of missing 14-year-old girl Charlene Downes.
In 2007, a murder trial jury at Preston Crown Court was told of claims that Charlene’s body was chopped up and had ‘gone into kebabs’ after she disappeared in Renshaw’s home town of Blackpool in November 2003.
Charlene was said to be among a number of young white girls who gravitated to the resort’s takeaways to have sex with older men.
A takeway boss charged with murder and an associate who was accused of helping dispose of her body were formally acquitted after the jury failed to reach verdicts.
But both the British National Party and the English Defence League continued to exploit the case.
Former leader and then North West MEP Nick Griffin met Renshaw and invited him to take up a two-week work experience placement in Brussels, according to Renshaw.
He went on to run the youth wing of the BNP while he studied economics and politics at Manchester Metropolitan University and stood as a candidate for the party in a Blackpool council ward by-election in October 2014. He received 17 votes.
In 2007, a murder trial jury at Preston Crown Court (pictured above) was told of claims that Charlene’s body was chopped up and had ‘gone into kebabs’
As time went on Renshaw said his ‘political evolution’ led to him becoming an ‘outright nationalist socialist’ who thought Griffin was mistakenly trying to portray himself as moderate.
Details of Renshaw’s background emerged during two trials last year at Preston Crown Court where he was convicted of stirring up racial hatred and inciting two underage boys to engage in sexual activity.
During the latter trial he denied a sexual interest in children and said he had campaigned against child grooming since he was aged 14 and got involved in the ‘Justice for Charlene Downes’ cause.
Renshaw , 23, was born in Ormskirk and raised in Skelmersdale – which he described as ‘a very white town’ – but moved to Blackpool with his mother when she split from his father.
From 2015 to early 2017 he expressed his nationalist views on Facebook, Twitter and certain encrypted messaging apps.
Renshaw, 23, told jurors: ‘When we were contacting each other, nationalists, we like to keep our messages covert so we would use e-mail services such as Tutanota and Telegram.
‘We would use these so it would be harder for our opponents to find out about our plans and activities.’
Claiming he was a ‘principled nationalist’ who was currently not a member of any political organisation, he said: ‘I hold the same views but I don’t see any vehicle out there which works to express them.

How Digital Marketing Will Change in 2019
New Post has been published on https://computerguideto.com/awesome/how-digital-marketing-will-change-in-2019/
How Digital Marketing Will Change in 2019
Digital marketing is going to change drastically in 2019. And sadly, you aren’t going to like a lot of the changes.
And no, I don’t mean change from a competition standpoint. You already is recognized that each year marketing gets more expensive and more competitive. That’s merely a given.
Just look at the graph above: that’s Google’s annual revenue. As you can see, during the last recession, Google stimulated more and more money. They didn’t even have a down year.
One of the big reasons we are seeing digital marketing change so much is because of the be adopted by new technologies. But also because the web is getting saturated … there are 1,805, 260,010 websites on the web.
That means there is 1 website for every 4 people in this world. That’s crazy!
So, let’s dive into it … here’s how digital marketing is going to change this year.
Drastic Change# 1: SEO won’t look the same
I’m starting with this one because I know you are going to hate this. SEO is moving to voice search.
In 2018, 2 out of every 5 adults use voice search once per day. But in 2020, 50% of all searches will be done through voice search according to ComScore.
And it won’t only be people speaking into their microphone on their cell phone or laptop, 30% of web browsing won’t even take place on a device with a screen. That means more people will be searching through devices like Google Home or Alexa.
I know you don’t like this because every time I blog about voice search , no one genuinely reads the article. It’s one of those topics that SEOs just wish didn’t exist.
Why?
Well, being on page 1 doesn’t matter when it is necessary to voice search. Either Google pulls from your website or they don’t.
And secondly, conversions from voice search will be lower because people won’t be going to your website. Google will simply be giving them the answer. At least, until we can figure out how to solve this as marketers.
But instead of looking at voice search as a bad thing, just think of it this style , no one cares to read articles about it, which means most SEOs won’t be prepared for it.
This is your chance to get ahead of your competition and gobble up that traffic before the market shifts into using voice.
Here are some articles that will teach you how to maximize your voice search traffic :P TAGEND
The Definitive Guide to Voice Search How to Optimize for Voice Search( 4 Simple Strategies ) How to Get Extra Traffic From Voice Search
Drastic Change# 2: Expect algorithm updates to be more complex
According to the Moz algorithm changelog, there were 12 updates in 2018.
Although it sounds like a lot, it isn’t. In 2017 there were 13 updates and in 2016 there were 11. In other words, Google has been averaging 12 updates per year if you blended the corroborated updates with the “unconfirmed” ones.
But let’s look at the older updates…
On July 17, 2015, Google released Panda 4.2. I know you may have detested the Panda update, but it wasn’t too bad. All Google did was get rid of spammy sites with low-quality content.
They didn’t want to rank sites that had thousands of 300 -word blog posts with duplicate content.
Could you blame them for that?
And what about the change Google constructed on September 27, 2016, the Penguin 4.0 update?
If you built spammy connections, they no longer would just penalize you, in most cases, they would devalue those connects instead.
That entails if you did something shady like buy a ton of backlinks and get caught, those connects would just be de-valued instead of causing your whole site to get banned.
Now if you look at the latest algorithm updates, they are getting more complex and harder to beat. And it’s because technology is evolving so fast.
Google no longer has to merely look at metrics like content and backlink count to figure out if a site ranks well. They can look at user metrics, such as :P TAGEND
Are users spending more hour on your site than the other ranked sites on Google? Are people ricochetting off your site and heading back to the Google listing page? Are your brand queries increasing over period? Or do people not see you as a brand? Do people find your site more appealing … in other words, is your click-through-rate higher?
If you want to beat Google, you have to shift your mindset. It’s not about understanding Google, it’s about understanding users.
Google has one goal: to rank sites that users love the most at the top. That causes people to come back, keep using Google, and increase their overall revenue.
If you can put yourself in your users’ shoes, you’ll be better are in accordance with do that.
The first step in doing this is to realize that when someone performs a search for any keyword, they aren’t only “performing a search, ” they are looking for a solution to their problem.
By understanding the intent of their search, you’ll be more likely and able to solve their problems. You can use tools like Ubersuggest to help you with it as it will show you long tail phrases( problems people are trying to solve for ).
Once you do that, you’ll be able to create the best experience, the best product, or even service that people deserve.
This is how you build your site continually rank well in the long run even as they make their algorithm more complex.
Drastic Change# 3: You can’t build a company off of 1 channels
You familiar with Dropbox?
Of course, you are, it’s a multi-billion-dollar company … and you probably have it installed on your computer.
When they first “re coming out”, they tried to acquire users through Google AdWords. Can you guess how much it cost them to acquire a customer?
It ranged between $200 and $300.
Do you know how much Dropbox expenses?
$60 a year.
The math doesn’t work out. Why would you expend $200 to acquire a user who are pays $60?
Even when someone pays you $60, it’s not all gain. Because of that, Dropbox had to grow use growth hacking.
Dropbox gives you more free space the more users you invite. That’s a great example of growth hacking. And it’s how they grew into a multi-billion-dollar company.
Nowadays, if you created a similar invite flow within your company, it won’t run that well. You can no longer build a company use one channel like how Dropbox grew.
And do you remember how Facebook grew?
When you signed up, they would tap into your email address book and send out an email to every single one of your contacts inviting them to use Facebook, even if you didn’t want them to.
That one channel helped Facebook grow into the multi-hundred-billion-dollar company that we know today.
Nowadays, if you get an email saying your friend is inviting you to join a new site or social network, you’ll probably just ignore it.
Again, you no longer can build a big business leveraging merely one marketing channel.
So, what does that mean for you?
First of all, popular marketing channels that are profitable get saturated fast and you are going to have a lot of competitors.
Due to that, you have to leverage all channels. From content marketing and paid ads to social media marketing and SEO to email marketing … you have to leverage all channels out there.
It’s your merely option to doing well in the long run.
One channel won’t build your business anymore. But if you blend them all, you can still grow your business.
And hey, if something happens to one channel like an algorithm change, at the least your business won’t go down too much because you are diversified.
No matter how much you love one sort of marketing, never rely on it. Adopt an omnichannel approach.
Drastic Change# 4: Blogging won’t work too well
I got into this a little bit at the top … the web is saturated. There are just way too many sites.
Sure, most of those 1.8 billion sites aren’t being updated and a lot are dormant.
Now out of those 1.8 billion sites, roughly 1 billion of them are blogs. That’s approximately 1 blog for every 7 people out there.
When I started my first blog in 2005, there weren’t as many people online creating sites or making content. There also weren’t as many people utilizing Google.
Nevertheless, Google loved content. Everyone was saying how content is king because if you create high-quality articles Google would rank them due to one simple fact … they lacked content in their index.
But as period went by, Google no longer had a shortage of content. I would even go as far to say that there is too much content for them to choose from.
For that reason, they can be pickier if they want to rank your website or not. It’s not just about backlinks or optimizing your on-page code, it’s about what’s best for the end user.
That means Google is going to rank fresh content that isn’t regurgitated.
If you want to take the road of simply writing dozens of articles each route and trying to rank for everything under the sun, you are able to. It’s still possible, but it will take more hour and it will be harder as there is more competition.
More so, the route content marketing is changing in 2019, and we assured a little of this in 2018, is that you need to update your content.
No longer can your strategy be to write a lot of content. You are going to have to plan on updating your content on a regular basis.
For example, I have one person who works for me full period going through my old blog posts to update them. Also, I now merely have time to write once piece of content each week. There is no way I can go through my blog and update over hundreds of thousands of blog posts.
You’re going to have to do the same if you want to maintain your search traffic. If you are established and have an old blog, expend half your time updating your old content. If you are a new blog, you don’t actually need to expend more than 5% of your time updating your old content.
Drastic Change# 5: You’ll need to focus on new search engines and new content kinds
We can all agree that text-based content is saturated.
If you don’t agree with me, just scroll back up to Drastic Change# 4
We all know it takes forever to rank on Google. If you aren’t willing to give it a year, you shouldn’t expend much time doing traditional SEO.
What if I told you there was another form of SEO in which you can see results very, very fast?
So fast, that within 30 days( or even a few days !) you are able to rank at the top. And, better yet, those rankings mean you will get traffic.
Just look at my search traffic from this different various kinds of search engine :P TAGEND
Can you guess that what search engine this is?
YouTube!
I generate 198,380 positions every month from YouTube search. And those people watch my content for an average of 559,237 minutes a month.
I’m making over 388 days of watch hour each month merely from YouTube search. That’s crazy!
YouTube isn’t nearly as competitive as Google. Nor is optimizing for the iTunes store if you have a podcast.
Don’t only concentrate your efforts on Google.
Focus your efforts on less-saturated forms of content like video and audio while optimizing for less common search engines like YouTube and iTunes.
Plus, these new channels have a highly lucrative audience as they are engaged. Did you know that 45% of podcast listeners have a household income of $75,000 or more?
Here are some articles that’ll help you out :P TAGEND
How to Hack YouTube SEO How to Create a YouTube Traffic Jam Is YouTube Marketing Really Worth It ? How to Improve Your iTunes Rankings iTunes SEO: What Runs Now
If you don’t have a big marketing budget no worries. These channels aren’t as expensive or competitive yet. You also don’t need a studio to cinema or record. You can merely bust out your iPhone and start recording yourself.
Believe it or not, a lot of people prefer that over studio quality content as it is more authentic.
Drastic Change# 6: Budgets will start shifting into conversion rate optimization
But in June/ July 2017, Facebook intersected a phase where they had more advertisers than inventory … at least in the United States.
Over time, that trend continued into other countries, which entail Facebook Ad expenses drastically increased.
Just look at the graph below. As you can see, companies expend the majority of their budget on Google AdWords and Facebook Ads.
Now let’s look at what channel renders the highest ROI. Can you guess what it is?
SEO, right?
Although the chart presents SEO creates the biggest ROI, in reality, it is the second athlete up.
What’s hard to see because it is classified as “other” in the chart and it is grouped with other marketing channels, is conversion rate optimization. And that channel created the biggest ROI by far. It beat SEO by leaps and bounds.
It was just hard to see that because not enough companies spend money on conversion rate optimization. And when they do, it is a very small portion of their budget.
In 2019, start operating A/ B tests. Whether you use Crazy Egg or any other solution out there, don’t forget to include it in your marketing arsenal.
Drastic Change# 7: Marketers will learn what funnels are
You may have heard of marketing funnels or sales funnels, but I bet you aren’t using them.
And no, a funnel isn’t something as simple an email sequence.
Because ads are getting more expensive, you’ll find yourself doing things like operating more A/ B tests( as I mentioned above ), but it will merely help so much.
As your rivalry also starts running A/ B tests, you’ll find that ad prices will go up again.
So, what should you do?
You are going to have to upsell and downsell your guests. I learned this tactic from Ryan Deiss years ago and he was spot on.
The best way to generate revenue isn’t to get more customers, it’s to get more money out of your existing customers.
Sure, your customer base is only going to expend so much. But if you offer upsells and downsells you can see increases in revenue from 10% to 30%. And some cases you’ll even double your revenue.
The key points with upselling and downselling are as follows :P TAGEND
Offer at least 2 or 3 upsells( or downsells ). If people don’t take the offer, considering offering the same offer again with monthly installments. The best offers are velocity and automation. In other terms, if you can help people get results faster or in an automated style, they are much more likely to take it. People are lazy and impatient, hence speed and automation always win when it comes to upsells.
At this phase you are probably wondering how to do all of this upselling or downselling, right?

Here are some articles that’ll help you out:

iTunes SEO: What Works Now
If you don’t have a big marketing budget no worries.
Now let’s look at what channel produces the highest ROI. Can you guess what it is?

How Digital Marketing Will Change in 2019
Digital marketing is going to change drastically in 2019. And sadly, you aren’t going to like a lot of the changes.
And no, I don’t mean change from a competition standpoint.

Dropbox gives you more free space the more users you invite. That’s a great example of growth hacking. And it’s how they grew into a multi-billion-dollar company.

Traffic – The One Thing EVERY Marketer Needs More Of. Doesn’t Matter WhatYou’re  Selling, How Good The Sales Page Or Product Is … It ALL Comes Down To Traffic…
Historically There Are 2 Types:
FREE TRAFFIC
AKA The Biggest Lie Ever Told. Some Ways To Get It:
Post in blogs and forums for hours every day.
Write articles, create videos and build out multiple social media profiles.
Optimize your sites for SEO and hope to compete against the big guns for the scraps that remain.
Invest hours of time HOPING all your efforts pay off.
Free Traffic Is A Lie Because All You’re Doing Is Trading Time For Results, And It’s Usually A Losing Deal.
PAID  TRAFFIC
Making The Rich Even Richer. It Can Be Fast, But You’ve Got To:
Pay for social media ads, boosted posts, banner ads and more.
Compete with MILLIONS of other marketers for the same audiences.
Put up with regular price increases AND risk your account being banned if you accidentally violate just one term of service.
Facebook Made $17.08 BILLION In Ad Revenues In 2015.  Another $27.6 Billion Last Year …  And Is Expected To Make $33.76 Billion In 2017 From Paid Ads.

Time To Pay Yourself Instead…

I have tested a lot of software tools over the years and I must say that I’ve never seen anything bring traffic in as fast, or as easily as ‘Traffic Builder 2.0’. I saw a demo video and had to get my hands on the software to see for myself. Surely it couldn’t be that fast and effective?! My very first test campaign brought in 267 unique, targeted visitors within just 39 minutes. By the following morning that number was up to 375.
Truly amazing, and my brain is whirling with ideas on how to turn this easy traffic into profit. It gets a MASSIVE thumbs ups from me.

Zuckerberg Is Rich Enough:
Time To Pay Yourself Instead…
Hey Ben Carroll along with Gee Sanghera. In our combined 12+ years of digital marketing, we’ve experimented with pretty much every type of traffic out there.
Ben got started with CPA and FB apps and learned early on how important traffic is to an online business. He loves developing softwares to automate marketing and has created many winning tools that make marketers’ lives easier.
Gee is behind software products including InstaEngage, Curation Studio and Social Stores. Each of these award-winning softwares is about driving traffic, and thousands of happy buyers still use them today.
The ULTIMATE In Converting Traffic:
Fast & 100% Free
Faced with increasing ad costs and audiences that ignored our posts, we set out to do the impossible: create a tool that would WORK like paid traffic, but require zero ad budget.
Nothing like this had been done before, so it wasn’t easy. It took all of Ben’s development skills and MONTHS of research into different networks.
But Enough About That – Let’s Get To What Matters – Real Results:
Seeing Is Believing:
AUTOMATED Sales From Completely Free Traffic!
Any Niche, Any Product, Any Offer
This Plain Works!
While we loved our results from the software, we wanted to make sure it would work for anyone.  So we shared it with a group of beta testers, and they couldn’t believe what they saw:

A Feminist’s Guide to Critiquing Hillary Clinton
Fair warning: This blog is not going to be angry. It will not be written in all caps. There will be no vulgarity. And it probably wont go viral. I dont care.
What I do care about is the fact Ive read over 70+ articles in the past two weeks alone discussing the 2016 election and what I see is a total lack of nuance and a lot of critiques that overgeneralize or underplay the very real role gender plays when people talk about Clinton and/or any other women who dare to step into positions that for so long have only been held by men.
What I do care about is how on my Facebook feed and elsewhere, I see well meaning folks called out as sexist jerks for simply offering legitimate critiques of Clinton and what a Clinton presidency might look like.
I like nuance. I like messy. I dont like soundbites and simplicity. So, lets play the nuance game. For folks who love Clinton, realize that not every critique poised against her is based in sexism. For those who love Sanders, realize that sexism is very alive in 2016, and that you can love your candidate AND embrace the reality that politicking while female is an incredibly difficult thing to do. Imagine that. Both/and. For those who havent yet made up their minds, or dont fall into either of these categories, this is for you, too.
So, here is my attempt to create a list of productive ways to critique Hillary Clinton without being a sexist jerk.
1). Do not talk about her voice. Really. Just dont. Earlier this week (and pretty much throughout Clintons existence), weve seen pundits and others criticize her shrillness, her voice, and her masculine speaking style. Soraya Chemaly argues, Anger in a man doesnt make the world wonder out loud if his hormones have taken over his brain and rendered him an incoherent idiot who cant be trusted with Important Things. How many words for angry men are there? Ones that have the powerful and controlling cultural resonance of , and ,, ? Or, yep, . Karlyn Kohrs Campbell wrote an incredibly thoughtful piece discussing how our culture has negatively responded to Clintons inability to fit within the parameters set in terms of how one should act and speak as a woman in the political sphere. She says Clinton symbolizes the problems of public women writ large, the continuing demand that women who play public roles or function in the public sphere discursively enact their femininity, and that women who do not or who do so to only a limited degree, women whose training and personal history fit them for the roles of rhetor, lawyer, expert, and advocate, roles that are gender coded masculine, will arouse the intensely hostile responses that seem so baffling (15). Overall, what Campbell is arguing is that women in the political sphere, in order to be taken seriously, must enact just the right amount of femininity and masculinity, and that Clintons failure to be appropriately feminine has hindered her for decades.
She continues to thoughtfully lay out a masculine and feminine rhetorical style of speaking and discusses what that sounds like. In rhetorical terms, performing or enacting femininity has meant adopting a personal or self-disclosing tone (signifying nurturance, intimacy, and domesticity) and assuming a feminine persona, e.g., mother, or an ungendered persona, e.g., mediator or prophet, while speaking. It has meant preferring anecdotal evidence (reflecting womens experiential learning in contrast to mens expertise), developing ideas inductively (so the audience thinks that it, not this presumptuous woman, drew the conclusions), and appropriating strategies associated with womensuch as domestic metaphors, emotional appeals to motherhood, and the likeand avoiding such macho strategies as tough language, confrontation or direct refutation, and any appearance of debating ones opponents. Note, however, that feminine style does not preclude substantive depth and argumentative cogency (5).
Presidents Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton use/used a feminine rhetorical style of speakingsomething which men can do and not be criticized for. Reagan was the great communicator. Both Clinton and Obama have been called some of the greatest orators in American history.
Hillary Clinton cannot perform femininity and her inability to play into this script Campbell argues reveals *our deficiencies*not Clintons. Campbell states, Our failure to appreciate the highly developed argumentative skills of an expert advocate, when the advocate is female, reveals our deficiencies, not hers. Legislation attendant on the second wave of feminism opened doors for able women who seek to exercise their skills in all areas of life, including the formation of public policy. If we reject all of those who lack the feminizing skills of Elizabeth Dole, we shall deprive ourselves of a vast array of talent (15).
2). Please dont talk about her likeability. As with the sound of her voice and her rhetorical speaking style, her likeability should have nothing to do with whether or not she would make a qualified president. Yes, I realize all candidates have to somewhat pass the likeability test, but for Clinton, because of the years long Hillary hating stemming from her time as first lady, this issue is in fact gendered, and to criticize her for not being likeable reeks of sexism. Henry Louis Gates Jr. argues, Hillary hating has become one of those national past times that unite the elite and the lumpen. Gary Wills notes, Hillary Hate is a large-scale psychic phenomenon. At the Republican convention there was a dismemberment doll on sale. For twenty dollars you could buy a rag-doll Hillary with arms and legs made to tear off and throw on the floor. .. . Talk shows are full of speculation about Hillarys purported lesbianism and drug use. Fine conspiratorial reasoning sifts whether she was Vince Fosters mistress or murderer or both. The Don Imus show plays a version of the song The Lady is a Tramp with new lyrics about the way the lady fornicates and menstruates and urinates, concluding, Thats why the First Lady is a tramp.’
As Nico Lang points out, She was a working woman and full political partner with (gasp) feminist tendencies. Among would-be first ladies in the early 1990s, these were exotic qualities. Clinton has continued to occupy thatsame space for the better part of three decades now, a one-woman culture war whoplays the political game the same way the men around her do. But unlike those men, Clinton is chided for being disingenuous and a political insider. Everyone else just gets to do their job. There are real reasons to have reservations about a Clinton presidency including her oft-cited ties to Wall Street and her hawkish foreign policy but how often are they the central force of the criticism lodged against her campaign? In an August poll, Quinnipac found that while political respondents felt that Hillary Clinton was strong and a candidate with experience, the words they most associated with her are liar, dishonest, and untrustworthy. These designations appear to be motivated by her Emailgate scandal and the ongoing questions about Benghazi but none of the myriad investigations into eitherhave turned up anything close to a smoking gun.
Rebecca Traister also notes, Recall the days following the 2008 Iowa caucus, when the media took advantage of Clintons defeat to let loose with their resentment and animosity toward her. That was when conservative Marc Rudov told Fox News that Clinton lost because When Barack Obama speaks, men hear Take off for the future! When Hillary Clinton speaks, men hear Take out the garbage! It was in the days after Iowa that Clinton infamously got asked about how voters believed her to be the most experienced and the most electable candidate but are hesitating on the likability issue. In late January, columnist Mike Barnicle told a laughing all-male panel on Morning Joe that Clintons challenge was that she looks like everyones first wife standing outside of probate court.’ In Diana B. Carlin and Kelly L. Winfreys analysis of the various ways Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton were portrayed during the 2008 campaign, they note, Women who exhibited too many masculine traits are often ridiculed and lose trust because they are going against type or play into male political stereotypes that voters are rejecting (328).
More recently, Sady Doyle argues that, This plays out on the level of personal expression, too: Women are supposedly over-emotional, whereas men make stern, logical, intelligent judgments. So, if Hillary raises her voice, gets angry, cries, or (apparently) even makes a sarcastic joke at a mans expense, she will be seen as bitchy, crazy, cruel and dangerous. (Remember the NO WONDER BILLS AFRAID headlines after she raised her voice at a Benghazi hearing; remember the mass freak-out over her emotional meltdown when someone thought she might be crying during a concession speech.) She absolutely cannot express negative emotion in public. But people have emotions, and women are supposed to have more of them than men, so if Hillary avoids them if she speaks strictly in calm, logical, detached terms, to avoid being seen as crazy we find her cold, call her robotic and calculating, and wonder why she doesnt express her feminine side. Again, shes going to be faulted for feminine weakness or lack of femininity, and both are damaging. Okay, so she can never be sad, angry, or impatient. Thats not a ban on all emotion, right? Youd think the one clear path to avoiding the bitchy or cold descriptors would be to put on a happy face, and admit to emotions only when they are positive. Youd think that, and youd be wrong: It turns out, people hate it when Hillary Clinton smiles or laughs in public. Hillary Clintons laugh gets played in attack ads; it has routinely been called a cackle (like a witch, right? Because shes old, and female, like a witch); frozen stills of Hillary laughing are routinely used to make her look crazy in conservative media. She cant be sad or angry, but she also cant be happy or amused, and she also cant refrain from expressing any of those emotions. There is literally no way out of this one. Anything she does is wrong. Given these constraints, Doyle argues it is impossible for Clinton to be likeable.
Look at how shes tried to address this issue. Dancing like a fool, talking about fashion, laughing more. What has it gotten her? Nothing but backlash.
Dave Holmes writes in , Youre not fun. Stop trying to pretend youre fun. writes an entirefaux op-ed from Clinton entitled I am Fun painting her attempt at being fun as insincere and manufactured.
In the eyes of the American public, Hillary Clinton will be fun. Or likeable. Or someone youd want to have a beer with. And it shouldnt matter. Period. So quit it with the likeability stuff, already. Its stupid and petty. I dont care if my president knows how to dance or even knows how to dress well. And you shouldnt, either.
3). Do criticize her on substantive issues. As Kevin Young & Diana C. Sierra Becerra argue, Clinton is the embodiment of corporate feminism. In their piece, they cite many areas where Clinton could have been and could still be a better advocate for womens rights. Its a fair critique but one that falls under the radar when were so concerned with her voice, appearance, and dance skills.
4). Know your history, do some research, and when criticizing, be fair. One of the claims I often hear as to why some dont trust Clinton, or why some feel shes untrustworthy is because she sat on the board of Walmart. Ok. But lets dig a little deeper. Ann Klefstad notes, Not to take anything away from Bernie and Jane, but think what an advantage this is: to build a career in a location of your choosing, with the strong support of a highly qualified and intelligent person who is unconditionally loyal to you. This was also Bill Clintons situationafter Yale, finding Hillary, heading home to Arkansas, and building a brilliant career in politics. But heywhat about Hillary? After getting a law degree from Yale (an all-male institution a few years previously) she meets Bill. She dumps her career as a congressional aide to move to Arkansas with Bill. I can imagine her dilemma. This was the 1970s. If she wanted to be with Bill, she would be riding on the ship he was captain of. There were consequences to that. She would be a partner in creating a political career that would accomplish many of the goals she wanted to accomplish. Bill very much admired her superb intellect and political skills as well. So they embarked. Theyre in Arkansas. Vermont politics have a pretty clean record. Arkansas? Not so much. You do make your own choices, but the context youre in, well, it matters. The Arkansas economy was in the toilet. The only bright star was the Walton family and Walmart, which was on track to become the biggest retailer in the world. They provided (in Arkansas) an expanding number of well-paid jobs. Bill was governor. Should Hillary have dumped his political career for a chance to spit in Sam Waltons eye? Well, that wasnt going to happen. She sat on the Walmart board and did what she could to both ensure the prosperity of the state of which her husband was governor and to do the right thing. She has almost always chosen the path (sometimes not the one youd pick) that would enable her to accomplish some good actions, rather than the pure path that tends to lead to inaction, or to exile from the power than enables you to make change.
Still dont like the fact she sat on the board? Fine. Dont like her stances on foreign policy? Totally ok. But understand the choices Clinton made in the context in which she livednot in a vacuum. This goes for all of her political choices. Never assume anything about any candidate without doing a little research first. Its amazing how much you can find out on this magical thing called the interwebs.
5). Dont assume critiques against Clinton are automatically rooted in sexism, and when calling out someone for critiquing Clinton, dont assume they, are in fact, sexist either. Take the #BernieBro label, for example. According to Glenn Greenwald, Have pro-Clinton journalists and pundits been subjected to some vile, abusive, and misogynistic rhetoric from random, anonymous internetsupporters of Sanders who are angry over their Clinton support?. Does that reflect in any way on the Sanders campaign or which candidate should win the Democratic primary? . The reason pro-Clinton journalists are targeted with vile abuse online has nothing specifically to do with the Sanders campaign or its supporters. It has everything to do with the internet. There are literally no polarizing views one can advocateonline including criticizing Democratic Party leaders such as Clinton or Barack Obama that will not subject one to a torrent of intense anger and vile abuse. Its not remotely unique to supporting Hillary Clinton: Ask Megyn Kelly about that, or the Sanders-supporting Susan Sarandon and Cornel West, or anyone with a Twitter account or blog. Ive seen online TV and film critics get hauled before vicious internet mobs for expressing unpopular views about a TV program or a movie. Amanda Hess pushes further arguing as soon as the Bernie Bro materialized, the conversation around it deteriorated. As the meme gained momentum, some popularizers stopped bothering to marshal any kind of evidence that Sanders supporters were sexist … . This is a familiar online phenomenon. Just as mansplaining morphed from a useful descriptor of a real problem in contemporary gender dynamics to an increasingly vague catchall expression, ass Benjamin Hart put it in 2014,the Bernie Bro argument has been stretched beyond recognition by both its champions and its critics. What began as a necessary critique of leftist sexism has been replaced by a pair of straw men waving their arms in the wind.
If the label applies, absolutely use it. Call out sexism and misogyny-especially if its coming from someone who claims to be progressive. However, I worry the label is being thrown around loosely and being applied to many well meaning, non-sexist male critics of Clinton. And that only silences debate. I dont want anyone to feel as though they cannot legitimately critique Clinton for fear of being called sexist, a BernieBro, or other names.
Overall, as with most of my writing, this piece was for me. Every time I read an article about Clinton or Sanders or sexism or the fight for the soul of the Democratic Party I find myself wishing for more nuance, less click-bait, and sound and civil discourse. Im tired of seeing the same soundbites repeated on my Facebook wall, seeing good friends of mine unfriend each other or worse because theyre on Team Sanders or Team Clinton and cant find common ground to have a legitimate debate about what this election is really about. In the words of my good friend Greg Wright, If you can imagine a better opportunity to demand the world we want, Id like to hear when you think it will come. When will better circumstances reveal themselves again? What political climate are you relying on to thrust the most unlikely candidate into the realm of possible? You want to know what will make this all the more likely to happen again? Demanding that it happen now.
We are at a historic moment in American history, not unlike the 2nd wave feminist movement. Gloria Steinem once said of Betty Friedan I believe that she was looking to join society as it existed, and the slightly younger parts of the movement were trying to transform society. And those were kind of two different goals. Like Friedan, I would argue that Clinton wants to work within the structure we have, while Sanders wants to transform society. He wants a revolution. In the words of Robert Reich, Ive known Hillary Clinton since she was 19 years old, and have nothing but respect for her. In my view, shes the most qualified candidate for president of the political system we now have. ButBernie Sanders is the most qualified candidate to create the political system we should have, because hes leading a political movement for change.
Sexism is real, and I love the fact that we are even talking about the ugly face of sexism in politics. However, we must be able to criticize a female candidate without resorting to sexist tactics, or be called sexist for critiquing her in the first place.
Overall, as many have pointed out, both Sanders and Clinton would be undeniably better as our next commander in chief than anyone currently running in the Republican arena. So I would caution democrats to get too entrenched within their teams that they refuse to see the bigger picture of the need to elect a Democrat in this next election. There are ways to disagree with one another that dont need to devolve into name calling or soundbite repeating. On Facebook and elsewhere, engage with those on either side in mindful and productive ways. This is an incredibly important election for so many reasons, but that doesnt mean we cant have thoughtful debates. So keep reading. Keep posting. Keep fighting for your team. Just dont embrace the ugly. Theres enough of that out there already.
