So I think I’ll be going on another hiatus.

I’m so sorry to everyone, but there are some irl things I’ve been dealing with that are, unfortunately, recurring issues that I’ve been unwilling to admit ARE issues. That being said, while I love writing and all of my rp partners, I need to take a step back and deal with my bs without worrying about late replies or asks or keeping up with the dash. It’s very stressful wanting so badly to be here, going to make a post, then thinking “no one’s gonna care.” It’s no one’s fault, of course—I’m entirely the source of my own toxicity.

Thus I’ll be taking a break to detoxify. I might pop in to like or comment on some posts, but content from me will have to wait.

Alright, I’m not too picky-I’m at least looking for a paragraph in writing length. The more you give me the more I can give you. I get times will require less- especially when the characters are conversing back and forth- that’s fine. I get it. And as far as grammar goes, I get there will be mistakes. I will probably make them too. As long as we can understand each other, I think we can make it work. As for replying goes, let’s be real. We have busy lives. I would just like a heads up if it’s going to be a long time before you can reply back. (Like a week or more) I’ll do the same if things on my end get hectic. If you find the rp is getting dull, just reach out to me. We can end things or try to switch things up to make it different. I’m willing to try. I promise I’m not hard to get along with.

Semi-Hiatus From 10/21 Until 10/28

{out of paprikash} Hello, everyone. I received some very bad family news early this morning. I'll elaborate more under a cut for those who want to know, since I know many people don't want to hear about personal issues on rp blogs, and that's totally okay. I want all my blogs to be safe spaces for everyone. But the upshot is, I may not have very much time to write in the upcoming week, so I'll only be working on blogs whose characters I have a lot of muse for. I’ll leave @tarnishedxknight open, since I have a lot of muse for those characters, and I might write my Resident Evil muses (@youmissedone, @checkxmaster, and @freewillacquired) on their scheduled Wednesday (10/25) if time/muse allows. All other blogs, I will likely skip this week.

It’s hard for me to gauge, because sometimes when I get very upset/stressed, I want to write as a comfort/escape, but at other times I can’t even make words. There may be days when I write a lot and others when I write nothing. I’m sorry for anyone waiting for a reply, but all of this was very unexpected. I’m going to say I’ll be back next Saturday (10/28), but if that changes I'll let you know. Thanks so much for understanding. In the meantime, I hope you all are doing well. <3

Alright so... I don't want to go into a lot of details and overshare and make people uncomfortable, so I'll just quickly summarize what's going on.

I have a very toxic grandmother (she's 93) that me and my dad share time with my aunt with. She lives with us for 6 months out of the year and with her for 6 months, in a 2-2-4-4 breakdown. My grandma is so damaging to the mental health of whoever is taking care of her, and she greatly limits your freedom and ability to have a life because she can't be left alone for very long at all which is hard to deal with with work and whatnot, so we have to share time to keep our mental health from getting too bad. She causes my dad and I anxiety, depression, etc., but I won't go into detail as to all the reasons why. It's... a long story.

Anyway, Halloween is our happy time of year, because we love the season, we do a lot for it, and grandma is gone from August to December. Well... my aunt called today. She was just diagnosed with cancer and will need various treatments, so she can't take care of grandma anymore. We are getting her back two months early, we have to take down all our decorations for Halloween (she's very Christian and hates it), and we've had to cancel all our plans for Halloween and my birthday (some of which we had tickets and reservations we can't get refunds for), because when she's here, we can't leave the house for very long or go very far.

So at the height of when we were at our happiest and ready for Halloween and whatever else, we have to suddenly kindof... shut it all down... and accept back into our lives before we're ready this toxic person we were supposed to have a break from. And there will be no more breaks in the future, that's the worst part. Well, my aunt having cancer is the worst part, but you know what I mean. It's just all been a shock for us in so many ways.

*sigh* So yeah. If you've read this far, thank you for caring enough to do so, you deserve all the good things and I hope they come to you. I'll be okay, I just have to process everything, accept my new normal, somehow get through it. And I have to hope my aunt will be okay, forget about Halloween, and forget anything else me and my dad wanted to do for the foreseeable future. I am also getting laid off soon, probably after next semester according to my boss, so I need to find a new job. With grandma living with us all the time and my dad needing help to take care of her, I am extremely limited by what jobs I can look for, so that's another big source of anxiety. I just have to find a way through this, because I don't have a choice.

Again, thanks for understanding, and hopefully I can sort through this all in my head, get done everything that needs to get done in the next few days, and be ready to come back to my regular rp schedule next weekend. But like I said, I'll let everyone know if that changes.

Anyway I’m talking to the air here: I’ve been really enjoying plotting dynamics out to build muse to write them out, and stuff that’s going to be more story-driven, and having a good dynamic with my writing partners is important for my muse/motivative. So as a heads up, I’m probably gonna be more selective in stuff I reply to and might not reblog a lot of ask memes to avoid impulsively starting something only to drop it. Some things I’m gonna do later today after a quick appointment:

- Gonna clean up muse profiles for the 50th time to adjust their canons more to a modern, realistic setting and putting their modern fantasy influences as an alt universe due to where my interests in writing is - only exceptions would be Manny (due to his original canon being too good), and hopefully Aya once I get her profile together. Especially with how closely tied they are to @samuhelll universe

- Gonna cop @artmadc style and write out a Dynamics Wishlist/Plotting Shorthand of what dynamics EYE think work best for my muses so it’ll be easier for anyone interested in interacting with characters on this blog given I got a good handle of what these characters will tolerate and not tolerate (and how fun that’ll be).

- Activity will be LOW for the most part still, and I’ll put out a lil writing schedule on the pinned post - work takes priority during the week, so I’m trying to hone in on that and will write on tumblr over the weekend when I get the time. I’m gonna go back to my short hand of: all replies/starters will be QUEUED, headcanons or musings will be posted when I feel like it. Be patient with me &lt;3

I have been RPing in various forms since I was 13, starting from TTRPGs, to online through the era of AOL and AIM, to message board and the like, until I hit Tumblr around 2010. All in all, I have I've 30 years of RP experience in general and about 14 years on Tumblr.

I do not use a queue. Sometimes I take my time RPing, and sometimes I can reply back very quickly. Whichever is comfortable for me at a time. If I haven’t replied to our thread in over a week, go ahead and give me a nudge, but don’t push or I’ll lose muse for the thread.

I sometimes reply to some threads quicker than others, it all depends on the finickiness of my muse. Sometimes I have muse for some threads over others, and sometimes I get stuck. This does not mean I dislike you or hate you, or do not want to RP with you. And if I need to drop our thread or put it on hold, I'll come talk to you. I do not want you to be anxiety-ridden with worry over why I haven't replied to our thread.

You do not have to match my length! Just give me something to work with, something to move the thread along. I don’t expect you to carry the thread by yourself. And I’m going to assume you don’t expect it of me. I do not mind one-liners or conversation threads (if they help move the thread along, or we're just having fun). If I haven’t given you enough to push the thread forward, please tell me so that I may fix it.

Shipping: I am a ship whore. Sometimes there needs to be build-up, and sometimes we can jump right in and go back and later fill in the past on the timeline. Chemistry is wonderful! Another thing to add: I do not have a DNI FC list. I do not have issues RPing with dead FCs, (I use one for one of my muses - John Candy). One of my muses (Terran) FCs is hand drawn (by a friend long ago). 

I love smut. I love writing smut. So, smut will happen. While this is not a smut blog, some of my muses have a strong sex drive, so smut will happen frequently. I will not write any NSFW subjects with anyone under 21. Most of my muses are hetero, while only a handful bi/pan (and they are picky), so I will do M/F, F/F, and very picky about M/M. Smut will not be under a Read More.

There are certain subjects I won’t RP - Rape being the most important, sexual abuse is another. They might be referenced in a muse’s past, talked about by a muse, or even written about in a drabble. As such, they will be tagged accordingly. However, I will not RP these subjects out. Spousal abuse/domestic violence might be RPed out, but only with extensive talking about it first. However, rape and sexual abuse will never be RPed out. If there’s anything you’d like me to tag, please tell me. I will tag the trigger with tw trigger here, or tw: trigger here.

As pointed out above, this is an adult blog, and many things will be RPed out here. Blood, gore, violence, etc. Once again, if you need something tagged, please tell me.

No Godmoding. I control my muse(s), you control yours. Little things such as having them go through a door when it’s opened for them, getting out of a car - small things are fine. Anything large is off-limits without talking to me about it first.

So having SUDDENLY BABY/CHILD/I’M PREGNANT tossed into a thread just cannot happen with my two main muses, so it unnerves me and makes me uncomfortable.  Please talk with me first.

This blog will be used as a semi-personal, meaning I will post/reblog things that aren’t always RP-related.

I have several mental illnesses - several social/generalized anxiety and bipolar depression with psychosis, both of which I am in therapy and on meds for - which sometimes prevent me from RPing for long periods of time. But I will still try to maintain a presence, even a small one, if I’m not RPing for a while.

Some of my muses will be willing to pop their heads out, other times they won’t.

An- An actual letter from- from Josiah. He was talkin’ about how everybody back home was doin’, sayin’ that they all missed me and were worried ‘bout how I was doin’ ‘n such, an’-” Folded. “I- I’ve never gotten a letter before. I-I mean, there was- there was no reason for us to be sendin’ each other letters back home, an’- an’ I didn’t know anybody else outside of town, so- so I never got one, this is- this is the first letter I ever got.”

“I’m gonna- I’m gonna write a reply soon, but- I’m tryin’ to think of what to write about. I’m definitely not talkin’ about the-” Pause, and a small laugh. “Heh, if I’m not puttin’ it in the letter I prob’ly shouldn’t talk about it on this, either. …Well. Then again, the only people that’re gonna hear this’s Sytri, who already knows, an’ all of you back home. Tab ‘n I put him to bed, ‘n Tab was feelin’ lonely, so I took her with me instead. Sytri didn’t mind at all- he fixed up some sandwiches ‘n we talked an’ it was nice.”

“So we stayed there for a li’l while before headin’ on back. Kale apparently woke up ‘n left at some point while we were gone, b’cause when we got back, his room was empty. And that’s when Nils showed up. He’s always got this straight face ‘n deadpan tone, an’ it’s- it’s actually kinda funny. He asked us- Tab was still with me- he asked us if that was the bathroom. Kale’s room- the bathroom!” A small laugh. “Poor guy was lost as could be. So I offered to tour him through the place, since it’s his second day an’ all, an’ before we could head off to find his room, someone else showed up. ‘S a courier, an’ I hadn’t seen him around before- his name’s Silas, an’ he’s- he’s super quiet, ‘n seemed pretty shy an’ easily intimidated, too. Though,” and this was said with a chuckle, “Nils talkin’ about ‘kidnapping’ him an’ chasin’ him an’ such prob’ly didn’t help any.”

“But he’s the one who gave me the letter. Like he gave Nils one, an’ then he just- he just handed me this.” Unfolded. A pause. “I still can’t- believe that I, I got- I got an actual letter. From home. I-I dunno how Josiah got it to anybody either, unless he- Well, no, we’d send people out to other towns to get supplies ‘n whatnot, so I suppose that he could’ve- sent it with them ‘n they… they found a courier or somethin’, but still… An actual letter.”

I (25+, they/them) am looking for a roleplay partner (who is 20+ years old) to write a plot revolving around Gen V — preferably a double-up RP with OCs x Canon Characters.

I love writing as Jordan Li and would gladly write them for your any gender!OC , and am hoping to write my fem!OC with Sam Riordan.

I would love to write relatively canon during Season 1, and have our OCs both be students at God U — hopefully as friends! If you’ve written doubles within the same plot/world then you know how fun it is to have our OCs interact from time to time!

I don’t have much of a plot finished out, but I do have some ideas.

I feel I need to be honest with everyone. I’ve been having a hell of a time with feeling motivated to do rp stuff. Making small posts and IC comments about the books I’m reading is pretty easy. But feeling interested in most of my threads... I’m sorry to say I just feel dead in the water there. Some of it’s exhaustion from being a mom and exhaustion from babysitting, maybe some burnout, but mostly I feel it’s just... I don’t really feel inspired by anything going on in rp right now. I don’t know what to do to get excitement back into it. I’ve tried a lot of things over the last few months and nothing has seemed to work.

I don’t want to just outright quit, though. Part of me still wants to rp, it’s just been hard feeling interested. If I take a long time replying to our threads, I apologize. I’m doing the best I can, but it just feels like pulling teeth these days. Eventually we all come to a point where the reward you feel from doing something just doesn’t really feel like a reward anymore. I’m worried that point may have been reached for me. Hopefully not, so I’ll do the best I can while I have even a sliver of interest.

For those of you waiting on replies from me, and I’ve obviously not gotten to them yet, just know they’re coming. I’m doing oldest replies to newest per my RP Thread Tracker. I’ll let you all know when (or if… hopefully when) I get practically caught up. So that if, for some reason, I’ve missed a thread reply (most likely because it wasn’t added to my tracker in my haste) then we can get that put up there.

Once again, for the hundredth time, if we have a thread that is waiting on my reply but you want to drop it because it’s old, let me know now. We can discuss something new, or we can just let it go. That’s also fine.
