I feel like if you fuck Tseng the next thing you know y’all have 4 kids together. Is this fluff? I think it’s fluff. It felt like fluff.

He literally looks like an absolute baby maker and you’ll be carrying around all of those kids just for them to look like their fucking father.

Rufus is literally begging him to give you a break. At kid number two, Rufus didn’t think much of it. The third? “You may want to slow down.” At kid four the entire crew is letting him know that it’s no longer an accident that he’s getting you pregnant back to back.

I dunno if it was the recent ask from abortion-anon, but I’ve been considering what it would be like to have kids with Tseng. Yanno like, how he would be as a dad, like in a more positive lighting. (I do have versions of these guys in my mind) I also picked 4 (3 boys, 1 girl for my own self insert reasons)

Visions of Tseng going over paper work in one hand and his daughter in the other are plaguing my mind. Standing in the kitchen with a cup of coffee on the counter he’s leaning against while her arms are wrapped snuggly around his neck. It’s 3am, he woke up immediately to the sound of cries, quickly getting up to take care of her. Tseng prefers for you to get as much sleep as possible, you two do have three other babies to care for after all. I can only imagine he’d give her the world and she would be such a daddy’s girl, it’s too much for my heart to bear.

Another thought that’s torturing my poor soul, the thought of the version of Tseng for Dead Languages sitting at the dining room table with one of his kids in his lap, the other three sitting around closely as he teaches them his native language. While it isn’t necessary sure, he would much rather they be associated with their roots in some way. Plus they’ll have a way of communicating to each other that nobody else could understand. I also think he would just like to.

I know Tseng would have every bit to do with educating his children. Maybe at times he’d push them harder over the years as I only imagine he’d have high expectations. At times it can be a little toxic, it’s only because he knows they’re capable of achieving any goal they’ve set for themselves. For the most part he’d be very understanding and helpful. Tseng is willing to run on nothing but coffee and 15 seconds of sleep if it means he makes sure his kids are excelling in life.

Depending on what point in time this is? Everyone is awfully fucking spoiled. Though he doesn’t reward shitty behavior from his kids in the slightest and if they’re giving you a hard time I can bet he’d set them straight. I don’t know what he’d say exactly, but I do believe he’d handle everything pretty decently. Swear he wouldn’t even have to raise voice at them.

Firmly believe he’d do his best to make sure you only have to go out of your way to take care of the kids while he handles everything else. If you have a job/career you’re already invested in, Tseng is going to find a way to work with your schedule. I think he’d also make sure that your life isn’t solely taking care of the kids, strongly believes that isn’t the way to live. He does take on as much responsibility as he can, but at times you do have to deal with him being away. It doesn’t stop him from making sure everything is okay at home in the at all. Which means guys, expect some baby sitting from the other Turks. I think he’d trust them the most with Elena.

He definitely cries when they move out. Don’t argue with me, argue with your momma. He sheds a few tears once the two of you are alone and you just hold him while he silently cries against you. He’s just so proud of what they’ve accomplished and that they’re moving on in life, but he’s going to miss having them around 24/7. Making an ungodly amount of noise knowing he’s on a video conference and that the entire board of directors can hear them argue over who stole whose food or the chaos from their roughhousing. Definitely has the “what if they don’t need me anymore�� concern. Poor baby, they’re always going to need him, he knows this, simply can’t help the thought though.

Overall? Tseng is a good dad. Only other version I’d have for parenthood is the absent father(okay there may be 1 more version). He’s there but kind of just a background character damn near.

‘PIG’.

It was scrawled in a bleeding red marker on the door of the navy locker across from yours. Students crowded around it, whispering to each other about who the locker belonged to, and who had defaced it with such cruel words. 

“What does the nameplate say?” an underclassman asked in passing as he stretched himself on his toes to see over the crowd. 

“It’s covered, I can’t see.” somebody replied from the crowd. 

“Who would have done that to a senior’s locker?” the boy muttered.

You knew. Everyone in your year probably knew, too. Nobody knew that you had seen it happen, though. 

You’d seen the lop-sided grin form on the assailant's face as he realised you were standing in the hallway. You’d seen the overflowing red ink drip down his palm before he placed the cap on the marker and walked right past you with a proud smile as if he’d done nothing wrong. In that moment, you understood why everyone said he would either become a famous actor or a criminal.

Min Yoongi. 

While it wasn’t unusual that he was defacing a locker, what took you by surprise was that he was at school early enough to do so without getting caught. In fact, you hadn’t seen him at school before the lunch break since you commenced your senior year. 

You hadn’t said a word then, and you wouldn’t say a word now. You simply swapped out your textbooks, closed your locker door and made your way to the next class. You didn’t want to see the look on Kim Jihun’s face when he inevitably read what Yoongi had written on his locker. 

Kim Jihun was an arrogant pig. A noisy, arrogant pig who excelled at any sport the school threw him into. You weren’t privy to what inspired Yoongi’s vandalism, but a small part of you believed it was justified. 

That was the last day you saw Min Yoongi at your school. 

The next day, your mother returned from a parent-teacher meeting rambling about how young people were falling into delinquency, bringing shame to their schools before praising you for being such a well-behaved child. 

You were hunched over a bowl of reheated leftovers when she sat across from you. “The school just expels them, making them everyone else’s problem! These kids don’t get punishment like we used to back in school, that’s why so many children are smoking and drinking these days.” she sighed, ignorant to the fact you had stopped eating. 

“Expelled?” you questioned. 

“Exactly, he’ll probably just get sent to another school. You know, your father’s taxes go to supporting kids like that. I think it all comes down to bad parenting. Your father and I raised such a good kid. You never talked to that boy, did you?” she rambled, finally looking up from her phone to meet your eye. 

“Which boy?”

16k words and counting on the disaster queer canon-divergent Emmrook fic. Ye-es, I'm basically re-writing huge chunks of the game.

“I never said it was, kid.” Varric reached over to press his knuckles into his upper arm. “Bellara’s fixing the eluvian, and who knows how long that’ll take. Get the others, and we’ll have a chinwag downstairs. Decide on our next move.”

“Sounds like a plan. Short term, but I’ll take it.”

Varric and he shared world weary grins, and he pushed to his feet. “I’ll meet you downstairs.”

Deep breath, in… And out. “Right.” Rook reluctantly followed Varric out of the infirmary. Nothing to it. One step at a time. Just. Go… get the others.

‘Chatting with the team’ was fast becoming Rook’s least favorite part of being team leader, not least because both Neve and Harding deferred to Varric, and Varric expected him to do all the hard lifting. Harding and Varric sat on the couch, while Bellara had the one functional chair already there. Rook sat on one of the crates littering the place, while Neve paced up and down the length of the bookcase.

“Let me get this straight…” She had one arm crossed over her middle, the other holding her curlicue-y pipe. A think trail of smoke followed in her wake as she moved. Now that she’d stopped, the white smoke traveled upwards, into a seeming infinity. From down here, you could scarcely see the ceiling. “You want to bring in another necromancer?”

Rook bit the inside of his lip. No eye rolling, no snide remarks, no crawling up the walls. “Professor Emmrich Volkarin isn’t just another necromancer. He’s made a career out of studying the Fade and learning how to control its magic, and he teaches at the university. His essays on the Breach alone--”

Neve shook her head. “I still say our best bet is contacting the Crows. And the Dragons. They’ll have leads we can follow, instead of wasting time on some stuffy academic.”

He stifled a sigh, but before he could say something he shouldn’t, such as Really? Bringing in the ‘Mage Killer’ is your idea of a path forward? - their newly recruited Veil Jumper raised her hand.

“Oh, no. Professor Volkarin’s work is unmatched. I’ve read his research reports on, oh, a lot of things, actually. I think he’d be very interested to hear about this new development. We’ve corresponded for a while, too! I could write to him?”

This was news to the entire room - a Dalish elf, taking interest in the outside world? The world outside her clan? Rook was pleased. One more preconception knocked off the shelf. “You’ve corresponded with Professor Volkarin?”

“Mhm!”

Varric shifted in his seat, uncomfortable to be upright for any stretch of time. “As in, write letters?”

Bellara nodded with enthusiasm. “He has excellent penmanship. All neat and flourished at the same time. He’s been very kind, answering all my questions.” She lifted her shoulders, eyes darting from one face to the next. “I? Have a lot of questions?”

“Questions are good,” said Rook. “And we need all the answers we can get.”

Everyone looked to him for a verdict - go to the Crows, contact Neve’s friends within the Shadow Dragons, or persuade the professor to come have a gander at their Fade-related problems. Or…

Solas won’t see you coming, not on the best day of his life, Varric had said not thirty minutes ago. Because he didn’t go by the books every single time. Because he had a way of thinking ahead. Of processing things ever so slightly off-kilter from the rest of the world.

And he had to listen to his team, or it wouldn’t matter if they agreed with him or not. He held up his hands. “Neve. I hear what you’re saying. We should see what your contacts have to say, both in Minrathous, and Antiva. If you think bringing in one of the Crows is a good idea, I’m going to trust you on that. But I also think we need to bring in someone who has a clue what Solas’s ritual did to the Fade.”

“So,” said Varric, leaning his elbow on his knee. “Where do we start?”

Rook smiled. Like so many times before, he knew what Varric was doing. Giving him the final say, to make a point on who’s taking the lead. “Bellara? How goes your work with our eluvian?”

“It’s working! Sort of.”

“Sort of?”

“Well. It could suck us into a vortex of chaos at any moment, but I’ve calibrated it to not do that. But. You know…”

“Magic,” said Rook, aiming for cheerful commiseration.

“Magic,” said Bellara.

“Right.” Back to the others. Rook flashed his most confident grin. “This calls for a more flexible approach. I’ll send word to my superiors and ask if they can reach out to Professor Volkarin. Neve, you and Harding go to Dock Town. See what the Dragons have to say, and let them know we’re ready and willing to help them, if they extend the same courtesy.”

“Got it,” said Neve, at least seeming on board with his thinking. Harding nodded.

“Bellara, you stay here in case something goes sideways with the mirror. Who better than you, right?”

“Right.”

“In the meantime, I’ll go to Treviso, and… try not to get myself killed, tracking down the Mage Killer.”

Outside of Daniel and Terry who were great as always, this was a truly terrible season, THE worst lol.

Johnny was truly horrible with his "suPpoRt DeVoN aND mIGgy dUriNG thIS DiFficULt time" but never did ANYTHNG to support HIS OWN SON. Like, he did NOTHING FOR ROBBY. Robby is struggling so badly and has no one to turn to and his OWN DAD is like "lOl roBbY wHooO???" Johnny is a terrible character and has been gaslighting himself and everyone else from SEASON 1! FUCK Johnny!

They ruined Chozen in every way by making him into this drunk, boorish loser who randomly hooks up with the enemy (another flat, annoying character and another poorly written female character). Chozen was so OOC I felt like I was watching badly written fanfic come to life. What the FUCK! I am so sorry, Chozen. You deserved so much better.

Kreese was just plain embarrassing, my god. Every time he was on screen I cringed. He should have died in S5 and I stand by that. Everything he did was mortifying and humiliating. He is way too old to be acting the fool. He needs to be in a retirement home having angry dreams.

Robby...LOL. The writers said fuck you! we don't care about you AT ALL lol! and then he got supremely fucked by the narrative in every single way. God. And of course NO SCENES with him and Daniel because flawed as Daniel was, he did so much for Robby--way more than Johnny ever did for him. Daniel and Robby had wonderful chemistry and the writers are so scared of that.

The Sekai Taikai is boring and overlong and just ridiculous in every way. All the new characters are dull, flat, and have incredibly forced and tropy "chemistry" with the OG characters. They are the definition of Shonen Manga Stock Bullies. They're like parodies of character tropes at this point. If someone told me CK6 was satire, I would have believed them.

S6: Let's make Daniel have an emotional breakdown again because why not hahahaha! BTW, Johnny is cool and perfect and a REAL MAN! BE LIKE HIM!!111!1 Johnny is absolutely not wrong ever, but Daniel is evil and flawed and ALWAYS wrong OF COURSE1!111!!

Carmen...DEAR GOD. This is the woman who raised a sweet kid by herself in a new country. She learned a new language, escaped from a terrible man, built a career and took really good care of both her mom and her boy. And then she, responsible, smart, kind Carmen--gets knocked up by a deadbeat, drunk loser who has held a grudge over a high school karate tournament for 30+ YEARS, blames everyone (especially poor Daniel who is his personal punching bag) but himself for how shitty his own life is, doesn't have a proper career or a steady job AT 50+ YEARS OLD, is in and out of trouble constantly, behaves like every negative stereotype of Ugly American even while IN the States, gets (Carmen's) son in trouble, does shit all for his own son, and...THIS IS THE MAN CARMEN GETS KNOCKED UP BY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Carmen, who WORKS IN HEALTHCARE and has ACCESS TO BIRTH CONTROL!!!!! You cannot make this shit up!!!!!!!

This show is truly garbage. It was excellent in S1 and S2, I thoroughly enjoyed S3, S4 and S5 were Karate Star Wars and got stupid (but still entertaining) and S5 it should have ended, peaking with the relationship between Terry and Daniel and the death of Kreese. S6 is embarrassing and cringe.

The best parts were TERRY FUCKING SILVER who is played with such devastating charm and skill by Thomas that you can't help but love him. And he's hot as fuck so there's that too!

Daniel is of course hated by the writers, but that doesn't take away from the fact that HE'S BEEN RIGHT FROM THE START OF THIS FUCKING SHOW and he's a good, kind, sweet, hardworking man who happens to have a quick temper, can be prone to hot-headedness, and be (gasp) less than perfect. Of course, for these oh-so-terrible sins, he must be punished and also constantly fucked by the narrative. Jokes on them, because Daniel can be proven to be right and correct 95% of the time, and remains a decent, good man who can admit when he's wrong (UNLIKE CERTAIN BLOND FUCKS).

Cobra Kai S6 is a fever dream of how a middle aged man with the emotional range of a young teenage boy would WANT the world to work, not how any human being would reasonably behave. Many men have written stories like this over the centuries and have been called geniuses; many women have written their versions - like Twilight - and have been called airheads, but anyway, it's all pure id at this point. I keep saying that TIG meanwhile writes his own part before signing on, because somehow I keep finding nuances in his character, like a compulsion to repeat his trauma with cages and a deep aversion to killing (which is interesting because I really do wonder what he meant to do to Kreese if not kill him).

You do have to give it to them that there are moments of awe inspiring insanity sprinkled throughout.

About Link

As a kid, Link was always daydreaming and tended to stick to himself. He struggled in school because of this, and it's only because of Zelda that he applied himself to his studies

Link was mute as a kid due to fear of embarrassment. Due to his constant daydreaming, he was already picked on for being weird. He didn't want anything to increase the bullying

It'll be years later that he would start to speak to others. But only selectively, which he feels awful about. However, I would like to note he'll always speak freely with Zelda. She's always been his safe space after all

His dad specialized in wood carpeting, and did wood sculpting as a hobby, often selling his work at the Bazaar. Link's dad was also HOH, which is how Link knew sign language as a kid

Link's mom was a rescue knight that decided to stay in Skyloft instead of leaving. She was one of the top students of her class, which is why her death was so shocking for everyone

Link's mom died during a stormy night, she didn't see the Skytail charge at her until it was too late. His dad died trying to find her the next night

Croo was someone who used to be in the Knights Academy, but was never able to graduate. I feel like he was one of the main encouragers for Link to try in his schooling

Piper was friends with Link's mom, and was always happy whenever he came to watch or help her. After his mom's death, they became distant and now Link feels awkward around her

Link lived with Wyrna and Jakamar until he moved into the Knights Academy. They joke he was excellent practice for raising a kid, and often he goes over for dinner and to babysit Kukiel. Because of how often he is over, its joked he's Kukiel's older brother

Link won't meet Groose until sophomore year of Knights Academy, which is when Groose would transfer to Skyloft.

Junior year is when Link starts getting his prophecy dreams, but only thought of them as coincidence for matching the future. This is why he didn't think much of the dream in the beginning of SS.

Link took to wood sculpting as a way to feel close to his parents, and along the way learned to love it for himself. He's always making things for Zelda

My ideas for how Link knows Crimson change all the time, but for this fic it's literally just a wild animal immediately going "you're my friend now." Crimson will follow Link to Skyloft, where he will be grouped with the other Loftwings to train. Link never attends the Loftwing Ceremony and while not allowed to fly at that point, he spends his free time bonding with Crimon.

About Zelda

Zelda is very mischievous, and paired with Link's joking nature, both team up as pranksters. Zelda is the brains in these pranks, and always makes sure she has an explanation out of blame. Link doesn't think ahead like that and often gets in trouble, which Zelda teases him for

One of the things she would do as a kid would sneak in to where the Loftwings were taken care of, and play with them. In this fic, she had the impulsive thought to fly one and well. It results in the starting friendship between her and Link

Where Link aims to be a knight, Zelda wants to be a teacher. She loves learning and helping others, so she believes it would be a perfect career for herself

The Lofwing sculpture we see on her table in-game is the same one Link gives her in this fic. Just a detail I want to be true

She embroideries as a hobby, and spent months working on the sail cloth she gives Link. Usually the school uses the same one from the previous years, but no, Zelda wanted it to be special

Her mom died two years after befriending Link, and they get closer after their understanding of loosing a parent. It seemed to clear an invisible barrier between them and they become BFF's

Zelda meets her Loftwing during the Loftwing ceremony, but before that she would be jealous of Link and his bond with Crimson. It makes me laugh to think this is why she pushes him off cliffs all the time, just a lil petty revenge

Zelda has always been fascinated by the idea that more lays beneath the cloud barrier, and she was only ever able to describe it as a "gut feeling". Later on her adventure, she would realize this feeling was because of her memories as Hylia, just waiting to be re-discovered

About Skyloft

I imagine Skyloft to not be as small as it is in the game. Being the main island in the skies, I imagine it housed thousands of people. I feel like there's other main hubs, but Skyloft's main attraction is the Knights Academy and the Bazaar

The people of Skyloft (and the skies in general) believe in the motto "it takes a village to raise a child". Even tho Wyrna and Jakamar took themselves to be Link's main caretakers, multiple people helped out

It's already noted Loftwings are essentially soulmates to the Hylians. But they're still big wild birds, so I imagine it takes years of handling and training them, especially for the Knights. There's a ceremony in Skyloft where the Loftwing will choose their owner (the summer between freshman and sophomore year; it needs to be considered what type of training the Loftwing will need based on if the owner makes it through the basics of knight training) and they will be paired until both die. Because of the strong bond, Loftwings won't accept any new owners

Despite Loftwings being based on the shoebill, I like to think they have a life-time expectancy similar to parrots, living for around 30 years.

I feel like feathers would be a big part of Skyloft culture. Framing them is common during Loftwing deaths, and braiding it into hair for ceremonies and celebrations.

Schooling System on Skyloft (more focused on the Knights Academy)

Ages 3-5 prioritizes motor control and basic skills. such as language and socialization. Ages 6-11 prioritizes math, social studies, basic science, and literacy. Ages 11-18 is where schooling becomes more advanced, and you can choose to go to Knights Academy or continue on a more regular path

Age 13 is when kids are allowed to chose to go to the knight academy or not, in which they have to take an exam and interview to qualify (this is similar to the process for being accepted to an early college program in the U.S.)

The Knights Academy is also treated as a boarding school, with kids moving in the same year they're accepted in

From here, courses are more focused on Loftwing care, flying physics and training, ethics, health and medical aid, physical training, etc.

Typically the Wing Ceremony is for junior years and is a way to test who will be the top students for graduation, as well as to see who needs to be held back. After this is when seniors can start sword training and learn more advance flying.

Depending how well a student did during their schooling, they will be stationed to guard Skyloft. The more top students would be stationed more outwards to defend other islands, as it's considered more dangerous with the lack of recourses, long flight ranges, decreased contact with others, and increased encounters with monsters

so! some overall lore to keep in mind- the SES Leviathan of Self-Determination is a part of the 45th Helldiver Experimental Fleet. What's the experiment, you may ask? Depends on the ship, but in the Leviathan's case, "recovering" dissidents! Working closely with the Ministry of Truth, the Fleet uses the Leviathan to turn traitors into loyal soldiers! And, most of the time, it's fairly effective! (But, that's largely thanks to the efforts of the Fleet Admiral, K1.)

"Fish" is the fan-favorite among my friends. He's the Democracy Officer of the ship. He's distant, cold, cruel, sadistic... Fish is a real piece of work on the surface! He originally worked for the Ministry of Unity as a scientist for Permacura, and lived a fairly peaceful Class B life on his home planet of Malevelon Creek with his wife and beloved young daughter.

Then.. the fire nation Automatons attacked. While being evacuated, his wife was torn to shreds by a bot, and Fish has never been the same since. As soon as he could, he enlisted with the Helldivers, leaving his daughter in the care of his parents on Super Earth.

Fish, despite being significantly older than his peers, excelled at being a solider. He was especially praised for his ability to identify and summarily execute dissenting, treasonous, or otherwise disloyal Helldivers. The Ministry of Truth took notice, and appointed him as the Democracy Officer of the LoSD.

Unlike his peers, Fish's callsign doesn't come from another member of the SEAF, rather, it comes from his daughter who saw him performing a successful assassination on TV. He'd crawled up a dune to get a better vantage point at his target, and she thought he looked like a fish, swimming through sand.

Fish wears custom SC-30 armour, and occasionally wears a custom MoT-themed cape. His helmet features a false "third eye"- an infrared lens designed to mimic the eye of an Automaton. Although he is a skilled sniper, Fish is very nearsighted, and the lenses of his helmet are prescription, allowing him to see better.

Despite being an asshole to his fellow Helldivers, loyal or not, he deeply looks forward to the war ending so he can be reunited with his kid.

RASCAL

Rascal is a sweetheart of a man, assigned to the LoSD as a positive example for his fellow Divers. Hailing from Hellmire, Rascal was raised on the planet's E-710 farms-- the same as his parents, and their parents, and their parents' parents.

Very few Terminid-related things can scare him, and he's always been extremely comfortable around terminids. During missions, it's not uncommon to watch him gallop across the mission area on the back of a feral Charger, or attack bugs up-close and personal with explosives. He cares deeply about bugs in the same way a farmer cares about their livestock.

His career as a helldiver started when he heard of people on other planets losing their homes, lives, and families to the bugs. Seeing it was a problem that he had experience with (terminid-farming), and something he could help with, he joined the Helldivers. His end goal is always to protect his way of life, and the lives of others.

DJ

DJ is a rather mysterious Helldiver. On the surface, a specialist in Automaton anti-stratagem efforts and communications, DJ reports directly to the Ministry of Truth about the progress being made on the LoSD's goal of effective dissident military re-education. Unlike Fish, his connection to the Ministry of Truth is kept a secret to the rest of the ship.

Despite his job being more intelligence-based, he's a fantastic technician and an excellent communications officer. He very rarely dives, choosing to remotely attack the Automatons' networks.

His callsign comes from his strange (but very effective) habit of overriding illegal broadcasts with his "fire mixtape" of MoT-approved music.

C1

C1 was the original guinea pig for the Leviathan's project. A "cured" dissident, C1 was heavily dosed with amnestics and sent to become a Helldiver. He's very fearful and absentminded, and it's not uncommon for him to freeze during combat and stare blankly.

In reality, his "treatment" was not fully effective, and he still suffers from flashbacks and memories from his more rebellious days as a political dissenter. Fish can sense that something's wrong with C1, and often bullies him psychologically as a result.

CB-2 "BLUE"

By the time of the Second Galactic War, the Blue that Super Earth knew of was long dead.

Blue was a Helldiver during the First Galactic war, fighting against the Cyborgs. He hadn't been a Helldiver for very long before he came to the realization that he did not, in fact, hate the Cyborgs. Rather the opposite, in fact-- he found them utterly fascinating.

Taking detailed notes in semi-secrecy about anything and everything Cyborg for the rest of the war, Blue defected to Cyberstan shortly before the 'borgs were forcibly democratized. Refusing to return to Super Earth, he was sentenced to hard labour in the mines of Cyberstan alongside his Cyborg comrades.

(To be clear, Blue doesn't hate Super Earth. He just much prefers being a Cyborg. Man got so autistic about Cyborgs he just had to be one.)

Thanks to his augmentations, he's (presumably) still alive in the modern day. His insight into the internal workings of the Helldiver corps and Super Earth have been invaluable, and now helps with guiding the strategic and technological advancements of Cyberstan as a member of the Cyborg High Council.

A few years before the Second Galactic War broke out, Blue, along with a few other Cyborgs, would complete a long-awaited project to create a prototype successor for the Cyborg race, allowing them to finally have a chance at usurping their human oppressors. These successors would come to be known as the Automatons, and the prototype as...

ZWEI

About 2/3rds of the size of a regular bot, Zwei is a prototype Automaton Trooper, created by Blue and a few other Cyborgs in secret in the mines of Cyberstan. Much like the fixation of their parent, Zwei is utterly fascinated by Super Earth.

Zwei is a bit weird, in that they're largely AU-based. In the main timeline, the canon one, Zwei acts as an assistant to Blue as they're too small, and too precious to Blue, to fight. Main-timeline Zwei wears a tattered blue bandanna, made from a Super Earth flag.

In their AU, where Cyberstan was recently ceded to the Automatons and Cyborgs, Zwei lives a mostly quiet life with Blue. They love listening to Blue's stories of being a Helldiver, and playing with other children. Despite Blue's disapproval, Zwei secretly has ambitions to become the Federation's first Automaton Helldiver. AU Zwei wears a blue hoodie with the Super Earth emblem on the back.

C2 "CHEF"

C2 is an arrogant, but skilled, Helldiver. He's the second-in-command of the 45th Experimental Fleet, proud Creeker, and a chronic Automaton sympathizer. Although originally from Prosperity Falls, C2 was separated from his family at roughly 7 years old and sentenced to working at a cape-manufacturing facility on Marfark. When he came to the age of majority, he was offered the chance to redeem himself and joined the Helldivers, where he fell in love with the lifestyle.

Highlights of his career include participating in the defense and liberation of Malevelon Creek, being one of the first divers to deploy Dark Fluid on Meridia, and never missing an opportunity to keep Marfark free.

Contrary to popular belief, his helldiving career was far from the end of his treasonous ways and, in fact, only made them worse. Although, under the guiding hand of his commanding officer, K1, his love of Automatons presents itself in a democratic-enough way that he's not in danger of being immediately executed for treason.

He explicitly doesn't align himself with any dissident groups, such as the CyOps or Chaosdivers, rather simply self-identifying with being a plain ol' bothugger.

He serves alongside the eclectic K1, the bug-sympathizing M3, and his fire-obsessed little sister, S4.

RED ROCKET OF DESTRUCTION

Red Rocket of Destruction, or Red, is a Devastator who leads a fortress of bots on Choepessa IV. He too is a survivor of Malevelon Creek, and holds strong animosity towards most humans as a result.

Red used to be a rocket devastator, but after receiving heavy damage, had his rocket parts removed and entered semi-retirement. Unlike others of his kind, Red has two hands instead of one hand and a gun. Red is an inventor, and has created new weapons for his subordinates in the past.

After C2 was abandoned on the surface of Choepessa, he and Red developed a close bond with each other, and Red taught C2 how to fluently understand and read Automaton Script.

He's somewhat revised his stance on humans after meeting C2, but still remains standoffish and hostile towards them.

(Red is so much more complicated and nuanced, he's genuinely one of my favorite OCs at the moment, 's just a lot of it is [sadly] not safe for tumblr and I am way too tired to write my way around it atm ^^' But! Please take my word for it that Red is super cool and fleshed out. Slaps roof of Red. This bad boy can fit so much trauma and self-image issues into him.)

Sims 3 Lepacy Gen 1: Chapter 2 : A new Relationship

As expected, Eileen started pursuing Hank Goddard and before long they were going out. Before moving in together though, Hank started messing around with Tori Kimura on the side...Naughty naughty. I know this because I have Nraas Storyprogression stories enabled. Granted that it is also the Storyprogression mod who is responsible for this in the first place, but it's more fun this way.

Hank was very happy to leave the Mosquito Cove and move in together with Eileen. To Hanks credit he never rolled any wants to cheat on Eileen, nor did he pursue any other ladies autonomously. In fact he was quite a good boyfriend, watering her plants while she was at work. Alas they were so cute that I even considered keeping them together, but ultimately I knew that they were not meant to be. I decided that in addition of trying to fulfill my original sims lifetime wish, I would do the same for their partner. But Hank is eventually going to want to breakup and date someone else, that's just how he was created. He's never going to be the partner Eileen truly deserves, so while they were still happy together I started to look for other eligible gentlemen who could be potential romantic prospects for Eileen in the future.

For starters we met two possible suitors: Leighton Sekemoto and Christopher Steel. Eileen had excellent chemistry with Leighton, she thought he was a 10/10. He is also a family man, which means he would definitely want to get married and have kids, which is what we're looking for. The caveat is that he want's to raise five kids from babies to teenagers. If you didn't know, Leighton is at the start of the game a young dad to a toddler called Sam. So if Eileen got together with Leighton she would need to have at least four children with him to fulfill his lifetime wish. Christopher on the other hand was more like a 7-8 out of 10, so maybe not the best option, but good enough to be a possibility. We shall see.

Eileen and Hank were both progressing pretty rapidly in their respective careers (Military and Law Enforcement) when something unexpected happened...

Eileen was pregnant! How did this happen? Well, I am using Nraas Wohooer that allows you to tweak various romantic interactions. In the vanilla game woohooing has a zero chance of pregnancy while the try for baby interaction gives a 75 percent chance of conceving. I find that this is not very realistic actually. There is something called "risky woohoo" which allows you to set your preferred chance for a female sim to get pregnant after each risky woohoo, like 15 % for example. Lots of players seem to use risky woohoo as an additional interaction to the basic woohoo which still has zero chance of pregnancy. Probably to simulate an "oops we didn't use protection"- situation. I also used to use this method but after Eileen and Hank had been together for a while, I thought it would be more fun to disable regular woohoo and replace it with risky woohoo (which will be referred to as woohoo in game even though it is still technically risky woohoo). I set the chance of pregnancy to just five percent. In my headcanon they are using a condom during woohoo and for that a five percent fail rate I feel is pretty realistic.

Most players seem to have it set between 10-30 percent, but I thought that would be too high since now we don't have woohoo with zero chance of resulting in pregnancy anymore in the game. Still that five percent was enough to result in a pregancy just a couple of sim days after I made this change.

I also have a pretty long lifespan so my sims have plenty of time to woohoo. I have decided with this Lepacy to set one sim year to two days. It was really important for me to have the proportions of each life stage match real life because it really annoys me how the default lifespans are not proportional. For example the teen lifestage is way too long compared to the adult life stages (this is much more of a problem in the Sims 2 and 4 tough)- thankfully the Sims 3 allows full customisation for lifespans.

My lifespans are as follows:

Babies : 2 days (ages 0-1)

Toddlers : 6 days (ages 1-5) - I know it should be 8 days but I think that is too long. Sue me :D

Children : 14 days (ages 5-12)

Teens : 12 days (ages 12-18)

Young adults : 44 days (ages 18-40)

Adults : 44 days (ages 40-62)

Elders : 30 days (ages 62-77)

I know there are some inconsistencies, but I'm pretty satisfied with this. The toddlers are obviously incorrect on purpose but then again pregnancy is the default 3 days which would actually be around 18 months according to my own rules, so we might as well have this to compensate for the missing two days. Then teens should actually start from 13 not 12 however then that would mean that the teen lifestage would only be for 10 days versus 16 days for children, and teens are definitely more fun to play with compared to children. Then there is the question of when does young adulthood end and adulthood begin? I don't know, I just thought 40 is a nice round number. I wanted y.adulthood and adulthood to last the same amount which means that yes female sims will be able to get pregnant into their early sixties, but I prefer this to having the elder stage begin in the sims fifties. I feel like the elders are actually pretty old and in reality I would never refer to someone aged 62 as an "elder" but this is what we're working with. 77 years might also be a little young for someone to actually die of "old age" but I didn't want my average elder to live into their 90s. Some of them will though. In this savefile I actually had Buster Clavell live to about 98, which means he spontanely exceeded his lifespan with over 40 days.

By the time Eileen got pregnant she had been in a relationship with Hank for 14 days (or 7 years) and she was now about 29 years old. A perfect age to start pondering what you really want from life. In the next chapter we will find out what will become of Eileen and Hank and see the baby being born!

 —— welcome to infinite entertainment! it's MALACHI 'KAISO' SOH, who is a SOLOIST. i’ve heard whispers that the 23 year old is pretty CHARMING but lowkey DISQUETED. also, doesn’t he remind you of CHOI YEONJUN?

pre-debut

malachi was born to single mother soh jimin (jaime soh) in daegu. she moved to a suburb of chicago before he was even able to talk so he was raised there. 

he grew up in a south suburb of the city that wasn’t the greatest place, malachi knew night sirens and metal detectors at the doors of his school the next morning. 

his mother struggled with addiction most of his life, and kai often found himself surviving and gathering his basic needs on his own.

he has a love/hate relationship with his mom she was very much not a great woman but she tried.

they didn’t have a lot of cash and kai had to start working at a young age he excelled in school and this allowed him to go to a nice “private” school on scholarship later in his school career, with the extra resources he was able to really excel in the things he loved (art, poetry, music, etc).

with the help of the school and the community around him they budded his love for music and comics and things of that nature, helping get him the things he needed.

while at his new school he met his new gang of friends, and a shared love of music pushed them to form a small little band that took off by being just really really talented kids with a lot of spunk. (side note: fell in love with a girl in said band and well…he’s self destructive.)

but his time there was short lived as the moment he was scouted at a talent competition, (along with another band mate), as their front man he took the first flight they offered to korea and joined a pretty big, though relatively new company. never looking back and getting as far away from jaime as possible.

he came to korea subsequently alone as he does/did his best to cut all contact with the only family he had.

he never got to finish high school in a normal high school and despite being incredibly smart he finished at his performance school with subpar grades, mans was extremely depressed during his trainee days.

at debut

unlike a lot of idols malachi had the opportunity to technically debut 3 times. 

his first debut was in 2013, he debuted as the producer, leader, main rapper and center of epik at starglass entertainment. 

his time in epik was terrible to say the least, his social anxiety began to manifest in its full form. and of course like most companies back then they hadn’t really care and made little efforts to keep it at bay. instead they pushed him to be the face of the band as the only english speaker and member with performance experience and malachi, fighting his own demons was forced to take care of 6 other boys.

epik was the type of group with a boyish sound (i cannoned their disco to being nct dream and seventeen), they were known for their bright colors and fresh concepts and hard hitting, synchronized choreography. 

they were known as a ‘clean group’ absent of scandals and korea’s pride but even in that malachi was not happy.

he did give his all and was granted the third gen ‘it’ boy, title shortly into his debut

even writing and producing most of the groups disco there were seldom any moments he was deliberately proud of the sound and style of the group, on top of his failing mental health and worsening depression. this pushed him to fall from his quiet but entertaining and personable idol to a more reserved, background character of his group even as the leader. while he was a popular member, the decline in his interacting directly led to the slight decline in his popularity.

to add to his work load he was asked to write and produce for his companies girl group at the time (canoned ex-iz*one) later in his career and helped produce a few of their hits

personally he felt as though because of this the company started to ‘neglect him’ a bit more. almost as a punishment for causing fan backlash from his change in ambiance as well as popularity, and eventually decided to prematurely terminate his contract with starglass in 2017.

during his time in epik he’d ground close with their manager, who essentially followed him into the purgatory that was being without a company. he stayed with that manager from the moment he left the epik dorm all the way through his trainee days in the new company.

it was also during his darkest times in epik that he became close with fellow soloist fleur, who resparked the fleeting flame of the job he use to love. she pushed his production career further by allowing him to write a few songs for her, resulting in his very first industry collab as a soloist later dien

during career 

in  the same year malachi found himself slightly homeless but at a new company (PSYCH Ent.)  who was also pretty new themselves. they had two groups under their belt a girl group and a boy group who were popular but not as much (i guess the vibes of like??? g-idle before recently and maybe like stray kids in the very beginning?) but with his faith in them he re-debuted with a new concept, a new sound and something that was unapologetically him.

by 2018 he released a single, under a new name ‘kaiso’ and beneath the new company and it went viral as the ‘ace of epik’ was finally coming back to the industry

it took him a while to get fully back to it and for awhile he simply released one ep and a few singles and collabs before disappearing for a little. and he would continue to do that for awhile. 

though he was hardly in the spot light between releases he gained popularity for a lot of things, and one of them was his ‘big change.’ the dopey leader had become stone cold, he showed his tattoos and faked smiles, he kept his fans close and very few other idols in the industry closer. leaving him with the reputation of being a ‘bad boy.’ backs would straighten and gazes would lower as kaiso entered the green rooms at music shows.

it was a rumor he didn’t care to clear up and honestly enjoyed how people would often not talk to him, leaving him in his little bubble with his fans and company. (think namjoon of bts or eric nam when it comes to fans).

after awhile, with malachi being psych’s biggest money pit, and sent him only on the first infinite tour. it was during this time that malachi met his current girlfriend, officially, and began to open up a bit more to the industry even as they used his past as the ‘biggest reason’ to his success.

but ultimately after the original infinite tour, kai’s company decided to participate in the acquisition for kai’s benefit,. he was their top earning artist and felt like a bigger company would do him good. they decided not to take the two former, veteran groups and while the boy group disbanded, the girls were taken on by a bigger company.

he still likes to refer to himself as a part of PSYC Ent. as the idea of being a part of a bigger company puts a foul taste in his mouth.

as he got bigger he began sending jaime money every month to make sure she was situated and also as an incentive to literally never talk to him again.

infinite tour

during the infinite tour as stated above kai had grown a lot. he acquired space in his friends lives and began to let them take up space in his.

at his current manager’s request he began therapy during the original tour and it had been helping.

he came out with tons of music both years, the constant moving keeping him in the writers room even if it meant he was over worked and overwhelmed.

during the first tour he began to struggle with his idol identity, wondering if he was doing himself a disservice to abandon his years of idol training to become this pariah of low eyes and low energy.

he essentially began retraining and trying to become the idol he was in epik, while staying true to himself unlike he was able to back then.

this led to a lot of uneasiness and malachi scrapping albums after albums over again and putting out more dance oriented tracks, attempting to fall in love with stage again like he’d had in high school.

with the help of some push from friends and a great choreographer (thanks mei) kai released tracks like ‘birthday’., ‘eye on you’ and even was recruited for an all soloist co-ed group by the company (called re:gn) as well as a subsidiary of said group (K!NG)

he quickly became infinite’s only in house producers who was also an idol and has written, produced and composed at least once for every group except tidal. he works the most with braveheart and indigo as their sound(s) are the closest to his style. he’s also the only producer for FLEUR (Kim Seonhwa) and has worked on/produced a lot of the solo releases for a lot of the idols in the company.

with the infinite tour gaining popularity and more idols were beginning to interact with him, he is now known pretty much to be a bit dark and mysterious and unapproachable, but he’s deadass just a ball of shy anxiousness.

during this time he also had come to the conclusion that he loves making music, but detests being an idol but takes the fame anyway because he likes what he does

notable moments include, an incident at a 'kick back' in his home town that would have brought his entire world crashing down. him breaking down into uncontrollable sobs on stage in chicago, and his mother showing up randomly at his seoul town home during a break in the first tour, forcing them to 'revive' their tumultuous relationship. and pre-maturely introduced her to his now current girlfriend.

overall kai is the resident bad boy with a heart of gold. his upbringing makes dealing with his anxiety and anger hard, and his shyness is just something he's working to over come. he's had a hard life in general but the addition of his hard time as an idol has really thrown in him in a hole he's struggling to dig out of. he finds tranquility in the smoke of marijuana or in the arms of the chair in his studio whether he be working on music or art and uses his life experiences to navigate his life in the future. he'll hang on to your every word even if it seems like he's not listening, take in all the little details about you and every gift you receive will always be special...you just gotta...yah know be let in first. so fingers crossed he talks to you!

updates post tour

not much has changed post tour, kai is still pursuing the merging of all the different versions of him, his chicago boy, his global superstar, and who he’s become now.

since coming back to seoul he’s brought on his girlfriend to live with him.

he plans on releasing more music for himself and with various artists by the end of the year

he’s strongly considering changing up his sound and experimenting a bit more out of his r&b wave.

he’s wanting to branch out a bit more, get in with some idols he hasn’t really talked with as well as mend some relationships he’s broken a bit.

also loathes the reality tv idea but is happy they’ll be stationary for awhile.

midnight sky - malachi and your relationship was one full of electricity. but one thing he couldn’t handle was feeling small. you’re older than him and in the midst of the rendezvous he felt as if he was a baby toddling after you at all times. maybe it was the way you treated him or maybe it was his own insecurities, but sometimes he finds him self missing the security of your arms. breaking up was some form of rebellion in his eyes and he pretends to feel liberated but he’s not sure if his pride got in the way of something good, or if he dodged a controlling bullet.

nonchalant - to say you have a feud in the industry is maybe an overstatement but the boiling blood is still aroused. you’ve been an artist of your caliber for awhile and you think malachi is gimicky. his transfer from being in such a big idol group to kr&b was a large leap and the inkling that he’s riding on old fame with a fake image is a prickle in your mind. kai respects you too much as an artist and often finds himself trying to prove to you that he’s where he should be. even if that means muddling disses into his music.

Samuel was born in upstate New York, to a first-generation couple of immigrants. Not too long after his birth, his family moved to Vermont due to his mother finding a new job as a Bed & Breakfast manager, while his father opened a small restaurant that served Filipino food. Safe to say, money was always short in the family where Samuel became the eldest of two. It also made a lot of responsibility fall on his shoulders to set up a good example for his younger sister Alaya and everyone around them. Soon, it became his unspoken rule that he would break free from that city and he would make a world of his own. To do that, Samuel focused on school, since, due to his strict upbringing, he felt like it would be the only way possible.

He’s always excelled in debates and did terrific on political assignments from school, which, in one of the career fairs he attended, it became clear to him that he would do great as a lawyer. Samuel focused on that idea and also, on getting himself a scholarship out of there, since there was no way his parents could afford college education for any of their kids. There had already been talks around the house about who would help in the B&B and who would help in the restaurant, and, as honorable as these jobs were, and as much as he helped around during summer breaks, Samuel wanted more. He wanted everything else the world had to offer. So did his sister.

His drive landed him a scholarship to study Psychology in California, and once he was done, he was accepted into UC Irvine to continue his studies by going there for Law School.

In California and being away from his parents, Samuel felt like he could finally breathe and be the person he had always been born to be. He met someone during his college years, who also happened to bring out the best in him, and together, they were inseparable. Cemre was smart, beautiful, and above all else, she was ambitious just like him. They shared dreams, hopes, victories, and losses, and eventually, they would share a life, too, because, in the first few months of being together, Cemre shared that she was expecting someone else’s baby. Someone she had been with before Sam and she had even gone out on their first date.

Sam was well aware of the responsibility that raising someone else’s baby entailed, but he was also far too deep in love with Cemre to scrap the last few months over something that had happened before they had met. When Deniz was born, everything made sense. He had a family in the making, a decent job, and one hell of a girlfriend. What else could he ask for? A few years after being together, when the clock struck midnight, Samuel proposed to her and she said yes.

Life was good.

Until it wasn’t.

First, it was the news of Alaya’s death. Although he had been in touch with his sister this whole time, apparently there was another side of her life that he had yet to get to know. The news of her death struck him like lightning and forced Samuel to travel to Arizona for her funeral. His brother-in-law didn’t tell him directly, but it didn’t take a genius to put two plus two together and simply assume why there were so many people wearing leather cuts while they laid her to rest. Alaya had mentioned finding a solid source of income and bringing Ezrak along, he just wasn’t imagining it would be anything related to motorcycle clubs and the type of underground activity there might happen there.

Grieving, he spent the following couple of years stuck in a haze and it was another call from Arizona that changed his life and solidified his own ties with the Wild Coyotes. A request to bail Ezrak and another fellow Wild Coyote member from prison. He traveled to Arizona once again, and through client confidentiality, he learned more about the gang his sister had been involved with. It was a tough pill to swallow at first, that by trying to give herself a better life, Alaya had been involved in criminal actions, that he couldn’t protect her somehow… because he simply hadn’t been there. In the following six months, he stayed in Arizona, preparing the case for the Wild Coyotes and flying home every once in a while.

During his last trip back home he was welcomed with a photo of Cemre and Deniz and a message that someone was watching them. Consumed by fear of what that picture might mean, especially after hearing Ezrak’s suspicions that Alaya’s death had not been an accident, Samuel decided to break things off with Cemre and then moved to Lancaster, leaving both mother and son behind, despite what that loss would mean to him.

His first months post-breakup was filled with alcohol, parties, and sex. Then, work followed. Samuel became relentless. He found himself a job at a Law firm in Phoenix, doing what he did best, which was to persuade people… more precisely, judges, using every verbal way and finding loopholes in proofs. Who cared about fairness or justice, right? He also continued working for the Wild Coyotes when it came to their legal matters, hoping this would keep trouble away from the ones he loved.

Sam just wasn’t expecting trouble to follow him some time later and stare him right in the eye, asking questions on why he had missed his last birthday.

In the final weeks of July, the team under Dr. Chevalier grew very accustomed to being muddy, mosquito-bitten, and sore. “I swear,” Eli said cheerfully as he packaged up yet another round of soil samples, “I’ve never seen anybody so depressed while he’s making his whole career. Well, except for Ambrose, I suppose.”

“I might be ‘making my whole career’,” Professor Sur grumbled, sitting up with a groan. Kneeling at the bottom of the king’s grave, carefully clearing dirt from tiny royal finger bones as delicate and strenuous work. He leaned back, pushed on the sides of the grave and twisted his torso around. Eli winced as several loud cracks sounded from the other man’s back.

Gwaine’s shoulders sagged with relief, “Ahhh— that’s much better. I might be making my career, but I’m also going to make my chiropractor's whole career at this rate. And possibly contracting malaria.”

“Hey, this bloke could be King Uther. A little malaria’s not so bad.” Eli objected as Gwaine settled back to his work.

“Spoken like someone who’s never had malaria.” Guy Asclepius said from his position by the jeep where he was cataloging the remains that were ready for transport to the lab.

“Are you saying you have had malaria?” Gwaine’s head popped up over the edge of the grave again. Guy only raised an eyebrow in response.

Eli shrugged. “Yeah, OK, bad disease bad, sure… but I’ve also never discovered King Uther before.” He hefted his black plastic box of samples like it weighed nothing. “Hey, Doc, can I put this on the Jeep? They need to go back to Morry and the team.”

Guy sighed and waved a hand, “Ah, but to be young again, the world is so simple. Help yourself, my boy. Although I hope you don’t expect me to haul that lot up the stairs when we get there.”

Eli laughed, “Nah, just call Morry, he’ll do it.”

Morry, along with about twenty others, had been called in from various contacts at the university to speed up the work. They’d had no other choice; upon discovery of the island site, it had become clear that there was more work there than could be done in a whole season, much less two weeks. In addition to the added help, they’d taken up round-the clock shifts to both protect the site and get as much work done as possible before the end of the season.

“Be much easier to get this done if the damn rain would just leave off for a few weeks.” Gwaine grumbled as Eli loaded his samples in with the finds. “It’s been a deluge ever since we found these burials. Turns everything to mud. Can’t hardly see what I’m doing, and there’s no detector for teeth.”

“Just be glad it’s clear at the moment.” Eli advised, shutting the Jeep and waving to Guy to head off. Gwaine was unimpressed; “Rain and shift work. Can’t even get a pint, going at this pace.” his grumbling continued unabated as the Jeep rolled off. “No time to even think about the finds. Going to be a right old mess, sorting all these bones out at the lab.”

“Ah Professor Sur,” Lee said, approaching from the knight cemetery with his shovel on his shoulder. “I see you’re a contender for ‘Miss Congeniality’ again this year.”

“Did Lance and the kids finish up?” Eli asked. Gwaine popped up like a groundhog, tossing his brush out of the grave and carefully standing. “Now there’s some good news. I need to go check their boxes if they’re done.”

Lee nodded, “The patron saint of endless patience is helping the students pack up the last bones as we speak. All that’s left is for Professor Sur to sign off on their logs and they can send the bones to the lab and start helping you here.”

“Excellent.” The professor levered himself out of the grave with sudden energy. “I love the smell of minimum-wage student labor in the morning.”

“Have you seen Percy, by the way?” Lee called, as Gwaine made to head off to the other site. “He’s not still talking his wizard off the ledge, is he?”

“Dunno.” Gwaine called back, waving a hand. “Ambrose won’t hardly speak to me. I think he’s still moping about uncovering the greatest find in British archaeology for the last thirty years.”

Eli snorted. “Well now, I’d love to have his problems.”

Gwaine laughed and jogged off to see to his students. Lee shook his head at the pair of them, leaning carefully at the edge of the royal burial to survey the work Gwaine had gotten done so far. “Well, you know what they say.”

“What, ‘one man’s career-defining discovery is another man’s—‘ what? Honestly, how bad can discovering the best archaeological site ever possibly be?”

“Maybe there’s something going on with him we don’t realize.”

At that moment, the sky opened and rain began to pour on the site, gently at first, then quickly turning into a downpour. The two men ran for the plastic tarps, scrambling to keep water out of the excavated graves. Gwaine could hardly be heard over the rain, swearing prolifically as he scrambled to help his students move their cardboard boxes to better cover. No one noticed the lone figure standing on the end of the excavation, motionless in the deluge.

TRIGGER WARNINGS ; none? i don’t think ...

luke was born and raised in iron river, on a small farm on the outskirts of outpost. his parents were never wealthy, but they raised their kids in a healthy and loving environment. honestly, this part of his life is boring — he had a good childhood, his parents love each other and there’s no big, awful family secret.

anyway, he was a good kid and a good teenager. never got himself into too much trouble, focussed instead on playing soccer and studying in school. during this time he fell in love with a childhood friend, they became high school sweethearts and then separated in order to pursue their future career paths.

somehow, he ended up at yale. he doesn’t really understand how, it just happened and even today he kicks himself because........ how did farm boy end up in yale? it’s a thing. he did very well and moved to new york, beginning a career that would see him working for tech companies, artists and writers. 

it’s also here that he bumped into the old high school sweetheart. she too had been in college, then moved to the city and like it had never happened, they got back together. they had a really good, healthy relationship and planned their future, but made a promise to each other: they would never hold the other one back in their careers. 

luke proposed to her a year after they got back together and they remained engaged for seven years. during this time both of them excelled in their careers, they travelled, did great things together, stupid things together, but the most important thing was: they always loved each other. 

which is why, when they were both offered promotions that split them on opposite coasts, luke and her let each other go. they fulfilled their promises to each other, they split up and separated their lives entirely. initially they tried to stay in contact, but mutually they decided it was too hard to do that and eventually, cut all ties to focus on their careers.

WELL ..... that’s all well and good, but after moving to california, luke met another woman. they were very casual, but they worked. casual became dating, dating became exclusive and slowly, he learned that he could love another person. this woman would eventually fall pregnant and give birth to their son, who is now six years old. 

as was expected, they got married and have had all the troubles of any married couple. unfortunately the past couple of years have been difficult, they hit a rocky patch in their relationship and after her father passed away, they decided it was time for a fresh start and moved to iron river in 2022.

OTHER STUFF ;

luke and his wife (wanted connection - hence no solid name) have been in couples therapy for about a year, trying to build on their marriage and understand each other a little more. they bicker a lot, which leads to fights and while they always make up, it leaves a lot of questions about their future. 

turns out, his ex-fiancée is also back in iron river. he didn’t know this before coming back.

his wife knows about his prior engagement and the struggles he had coming out of that relationship. luke hasn’t ever kept that from her because it’s a big thing to keep a secret and my dude is a good guy.

lives for being the greatest dad alive. wants his son to look up to him, like he does with his own father. really, they’ve moved to iron river so that he can coach his son’s soccer team eventually. but also because his parents are getting on and his siblings have been keeping an eye on them for so long, it’s his turn.

luke is licensed to practice in georgia, new york, california and oregon. most of his clients are artists, writers and musicians. he’s also had some tech clients in the past, but he enjoys the perks of the more arty-based ones.

they have a cat. the cat does not like him. he does not like the cat. the cat is an inconvenience and if it wasn’t for his wife and son, the cat would have been re-homed already.

So I'm just beginning Generation 4, so I thought I would give a general vibe of how it's been going. Lae'zel Killir got stranded in Copperdale by her ship, and the challenge began. While her introductions to sims were hit or miss, I cheesed the relationships a bit with Social Bunny to get around it.

I didn't find a bestie right away, but she eventually met Markus Flex, her on-again-off-again queerplatonic relationship with benefits. After having Wyll, Marcus would move in and out of the household on a whim, and he was engaged to and had a kid with his former roommate Jade Rosa before breaking it off (more on the kid in the next generation). Marcus played the field a bit with the Calientes and his other former roommate, but after a personality change from Noncommittal to Loyal, he eventually realized he had everything he needed with Lae'zel, and they spent the rest of their lives together.

Like another who attempted the challenge, I made the mistake of choosing the Commander route that needs Charisma, but due to my Social Bunny exploit, she eventually shifted traits from Socially Awkward to Insider.

Wyll Killir, expectedly, is a far more romantic sort; he spent his teenage years building a large social circle, and he began a relationship with his high school crush Saya Okada. She took him for granted despite getting engaged and pregnant right out of high school. This is where the chaos ensued; Karlach is the oldest of triplets, one girl and two boys, Dammon and Sota (the latter was named after Saya's father). Wyll and Saya's relationship strained further taking care of the triplets. Here was the final straw; Saya took on the role of a Minor Crime Lord and left her family for Sulani. Wyll eventually reunited with a childhood friend Miki Akiyama in a whirlwind romance, having two more children, Voss and Cedric. Lae'zel moved in with Wyll and the family after Saya left, bringing her extensive parenting expertise to raising the triplets. She was a surprisingly doting grandma.

Completing his Diamond Agent track hit a snag when he revealed agency-wide corruption out of principle. However, he went to university to get further ahead of his career as his triplets finished high school.

Karlach's high school career wasn't as eventful; the intrigue started when her excellent grades earned her the chance to graduate early. Just as her father finished university, Karlach started her Drama degree while her childhood friend and girlfriend, Gabriella Sigworth, went straight towards an acting career. Their marriage changed the family name from Killir, the name of Laezel's mother ship, to Killworth. Starting as a roast master, the opportunity to perform a comedy special catapulted Karlach's career to showstopper just in time for her daughter Shadowheart Killworth to be born. Adulthood brought burnout and fatigue for Karlach, but despite less days, her Manual Labor job wore her down to an early death (she technically died by killer rabbit, but that's because I used cheats to kill her).

Now, remember Wyll's half-brother Marcus Rosa-Flex? He had an infamous rivalry with Gabriella; he took Karlach's death as an opportunity to kidnap Shadowheart, believing he can be a better parent.

The story of Shadowheart so far has been a far cry from the last three; raised in a cottage in the Bramblewood, the only reminder of her toddler life was her cat Whiskers. Marcus married a spellcaster named Shar (on the nose, I know). They had a chaotic marriage until a mid-life crisis brings Shar to divorce Marcus in his elderhood, marry another spellcaster, and have a baby of his own. Shadowheart was pulled along with Shar after Marcus' death, adopting three dogs to train up her Pet Training skill.

That is everything eventful so far; each generation gets more and more exciting.

So I was surprised that there hasn't been a Baldur's Gate Sims 4 Legacy Challenge made yet, so I made one. This only includes the BG3 companions and custom characters. You're welcome. Let me know if I forget a pack.

My mother was feeling bad yesterday. She has anxiety. It's where I got mine from. I try my best to help her through it, but she always prefers to talk to my cousin, her elder brother's daughter.

My mother was 12 years old when her father died. Her elder brother, my uncle, was 16. As the eldest male in 1970s India, he was tasked with taking care of the family and he did an extremely impressive job. My mother also did really well considering her disadvantages. But it's because my uncle went from delivering milk riding a bicycle every morning to having enough money to buy multiple apartments that my mother sees him as some sort of God and his daughter as some sort of goddess.

Plus they both speak Telugu as a first language while I speak English as a first language — and despite my best efforts to improve my Telugu fluency, I obviously am not going to be as fluent as people who were born and raised in Hyderabad, speaking only Telugu.

So when my own mother is struggling with her mental health, I must watch her express her feelings to my cousin rather than me. I must watch my aunt and cousin comfort her while I go to work.

My father doesn't give a shit about me, I feel. He didn't see me till I was 6 months old. He never wanted to marry my mother, he was forced to enter into an arranged marriage by his parents — my grandparents. He liked my sister a bit because she's his first born and she's brave, fearless, aggressive and sporty, like him. His son on the other hand is an insecure, introverted nerd. My father almost embodies the jock stereotype. He was an excellent sportsman, loves to keep fit, and despises fat people. He literally let thin people destroy his life and career and bears no ill will against them and when overweight people helped him out, he still treats them like crap. I'm morbidly obese, bad at sports, introverted, I find it difficult to deal with people, I'm a nerd and not a believer in traditional masculinity. He kinda hates me for that.

My sister is probably the person I'm closest to, but she's married with kids and thus I would be, at best, #4 on her list of people. In reality, I'm probably more like #10. Also, she lives in the UK and I live in India.

My closest friends are both married and the amount of time they can share with me has plummeted as a consequence. One of them lives in San Francisco, so the time we spend together on the phone is really limited anyway, plus he's successful and surrounded by other successful people. I jokingly refer to myself as Sudama in his presence.

The other lives in India, in Nashik. He had the choice to live in New York, but he chose Nashik. Since his marriage, not only is he fully focused on his wife and indeed her family and friends, who give him royal treatment as the husband of the eldest daughter in the family.

And so I'm now slowly realising that while I do have a wide circle of family and friends, I'm not in anyone's inner circle and I don't have anyone in mine either.

I'm a secondary concern to everyone. An acquaintance to all and a friend to none.

It's a weird feeling to know that your own mother would rather talk to your cousin than you when she's in trouble. That your father would rather spend time with people your age from his work, all of whom basically take advantage of him to extract whatever little money he has left out of him, than be with you. That when you try to make conversation with him, you get grunts and single word replies.

It's all exacerbated by the knowledge that you didn't let people get close to you because you had bigger goals in life. You had dreams, hopes, aspirations that all shriveled up and died, leaving you with no friends, no family, no loved ones, no-one to whom you can be vulnerable and nothing to show for it except a smoking habit that will probably kill you in the next year.

Why do I endure? I should just fucking kill myself and get it done with. Except I'm too scared to do that too. And so the pain grows and continues until one day I'll suddenly feel a sharp stabbing pain the chest and collapse. And no-one will be able to take me to the hospital because I'm too fat to be lifted and taken anywhere.

i literally hate this because not only does theo need to stay single, i need to come up with a plausible reason for him to end up with with two kids and no partner. i have my ideas though, sorry theo, it’s not gonna be good for you 😭 gen two is gonna be a roller-coaster the way i have it planned out.

yep, this couldn’t have gone any better to be fair. really suits him i think, and he’s got the grades to get a distinguished degree in history! if all goes wrong for poor old theo this gen, at least he’ll be rolling in cash.

bruhhh this is the ideal career for corey to come live with him 😭 basic plot summary of gen two: a politician and a twitch streamer who’ve been best friends since high school have to raise two kids without any assistance. they might have money but they barely have an ounce of childcare knowledge between them. sounds like the plot of a bad sitcom, and i’m totally here for that.

i guess the kids are gonna be geeks too. makes sense because both theo and corey have the trait. 

i also just want to say something really quick. i started posting this legacy at the start of the year when things got really tough for me, a lot of bad things were happening and each day seemed to be worse than the last. but, ever since i came to simblr i’ve felt like i had an escape from all that! a big thank you to everyone whose made me feel so welcome, this has been so much fun, and i plan to keep going for a long while! i’m so happy and excited that people like the legacy 🥺 so thank you so much for all your support 💖💖💖

if carlisle and dumbledore were put in each other's respective stories / dilemmas , how do you think they would react? how would a carlisle cullen have dealt with voldemort/grindelwald? and how dumbledore would have dealt with vampirism, etc? i almost view the two of them as a sort of foil to each other, not yet able to articulate why or how though

I mean, they'd live completely different lives, because they're completely different characters. It's very unlikely they'd end up in the same situations.

But alright.

Carlisle is Dumbledore

Carlisle's born in a working class family that quickly begins to fall apart. His father's sent to prison, his mother dies, his sister has a chronic illness that will never disappear, and it's just him and his brother left with very little chance of a future between them.

Handsome Gellert Grindelwald moves in next store with grand, new, ideas concerning the muggles.

Now, this particular Carlisle won't be Christian, he's a pureblood wizard and we can pretty safely assume that the Dumbledores were no more religious than any other wizarding family is.

It's a little up in the air whether Carlisle would be seduced by Gellert or not. Gellert is learned, foreign, and has all these radical, new, theories that weren't very prevalent at the time (well, anti muggleborn sentiment was, the facism was new). On the other hand though, Carlisle is also a man who once radically changed his own beliefs to something that went against nearly every edict of his previous religion. This is not a guy who takes things for granted and is not afraid to both confront himself and the true nature of the world he lives in.

And he has a deep respect for human life that, had it been any lesser, would have undoubtedly led to him eating humans as a vampire.

So, I'm going to say no, or if he does, it lasts up until Gellert says, "We should totally make the muggles our slaves." The muggles may have irreparably damaged Carlisle's sister, they may be hated by society, but they are free thinking beings who should be enslaved to no one. Carlsile raises his pacifism flag.

As a result, Gellert probably thinks he's a tool. Hot, of course, and intelligent, but a useless tool. Without somebody to bounce ideas off of/confirm his radicalization, Gellert has little to no interest in Carlisle or any of the Dumbledores. Gellert spends his time in Godric's Hollow then goes elsewhere, Ariana lives, at least for now, unclear how long her lifespan was going to be otherwise, Carlisle does not have the Gellert incident, and he and Abeforth remain on good terms.

Carlisle graduates Hogwarts and either is a) bullied into taking Flamel's apprenticeship opportunity by Abeforth who screams "DUDE, GET YOURSELF A FUTURE or b) immediately sets about trying to find a relatively high paying job so he can support the family. In the case of B, I imagine he goes to work for the goblins who seem to hire those straight out of Hogwarts with good enough grades. In the case of A, well, he goes to study alchemy.

Knowing Carlisle, he does a bastardization of both. He studies alchemy under Flamel and then works nights as a bartender in Paris or something to that effect. When he finishes, what career he does then is out in the air.

Given that, as a vampire, he had all the choices in the world open to him in terms of education (and tried many different things) before eventually settling on and sticking with human medicine despite the dangers, I think that's telling. Carlisle probably tries to get a job in something healing related.

However, that strays more into the "What if Carlisle was in the wizarding world" vs. "What if Carlisle was Dumbledore" so we'll say that the idea of teaching appeals to him and he returns to Hogwarts for the Transfiguration position.

This all goes well except then there's a first world war on, the muggle world goes completely insane, and no one understands why Carlisle's so upset.

And now we enter the world where Carlisle starts really making choices in Dumbledore's shoes.

First, Tom Riddle. Carlisle, I imagine, makes 100,000 times of a better impression than Dumbledore on the young Tom. He does not, for one, light his wardrobe on fire and threaten him. Carlisle might think this kid is weird, but he lives in poverty and an orphanage, much of his behavior can be explained from that. I imagine Carlisle becomes determined to take Tom under his wing.

I imagine at first Tom thinks this is excellent, LOOK HOW MUCH HE'S MANIPULATING THIS ADULT! And then he realizes that, no, Carlisle is perfectly aware he's a little shit. He just likes talking to Tom after classes about how to fit in with pureblood society/weird esoteric muggle philosophy.

Trouble is, Carlisle is so damn likeable (see his friends all over the world), that Tom can't help but like him. When the Blitz begins, and Carlisle undoubtedly offers Tom (and any other muggleborn who was not moved to the country) a place to stay, that seals the deal, the wizarding world might suck but Carlisle's a pretty cool guy.

Of course, Tom still thinks the government should be reformed or overthrown, but he and Carlisle actually sit down to talk about things like communism and facism (Carlisle's not a fan though the modern, muggle, form of democracy not practiced in the wizarding world is a weird concept to him).

My point being, it's unlikely this Tom Riddle becomes Voldemort or even really aspires to become him. You want more on that topic, check out these posts.

Grindelwald meanwhile, becomes a bigger and bigger deal, and things start looking... bad. However, it's not immediately obvious that Carlisle's the one who should do something about it. He's not a duelist, he's a professor, and his job is to teach the children. He may have been alright in school, but that was decades ago now. More, unlike Albus, he feels no personal responsibility, he knew Gellert, briefly, yes, but they had no real connection. Gellert spoke about insane things and Carlisle said, "Mm, don't like". Add to that that Carlisle's a pacifist, he's going to insist that someone trained for the position do the job.

Given canon, this means that Grindelwald likely invades and takes over wizarding England and, with a strong enough foothold, enacts his "enslave the muggles" plan. Which very well might result in a nuclear holocaust as Grindelwald was likely not keeping up with muggle technology and the muggle world war.

The muggle world collapses, which in turn causes society collapse, and the world may or may not be a nuclear wasteland that Tom and Carlisle get to wander around.

If Carlisle by some divine intervention has a prophetic dream of "YOU MUST DEFEAT GRINDELWALD OR DOOM DOOM DOOM" then he goes and tries to defeat Grindelwald. Considering Grindelwald has the elder wand, he probably needs Deus ex Phoenix to win, but if it worked for Dumbledore it might work for Carlisle.

Well. No one saw that coming.

Carlisle's an overnight sensation and a national hero, the hero of Western Europe even. He's suddenly being presented medals, honors, seats of power, and Carlisle desperately tries to refuse, feeling very squeamish that he's being given these things because he took it upon himself to murder another human being (yes, even a war lord).

Tom finds this funny and Abeforth is ureservedly proud and tells everybody.

All Carlisle wanted to do was teach children and now he has to reside over trials in the Wizengamot. This is terrible.

As for what happens to the wizarding world from there, well, inertia probably carries it along for a good while. However, antimuggleborn sentiment is still on the rise an even without Voldemort I imagine there's quite a bit of unrest.

I imagine Carlisle, not wanting in any way to be a political figure, is not nearly as outspoken as Dumbledore on anything. He just wants to be headmaster, guys, leave him alone.

Tom may or may not go into politics and do it for him. But he probably ends up teaching too and just laughs as the country collapses.

Harry Potter is an ordinary student who has no prophecy surrounding him. Carlisle did not recruit children to join an illegal resistance movement nor does he have a plethora of spies and moles in the ministry.

Harry Potter canon does not happen.

Dumbledore is Carlisle

Well, Dumbledore undoubtedly also burned witches and very much believed in their existence. An irony there. He may chase the vampire, probably isn't first in the mob, in which case he remains human or dies.

If he does survive being bitten, I imagine it pains him for a while, but I don't see Albus having the same willpower as Carlisle. Or at least, not as much, Albus probably ends up eating people. He at first probably tries to be picky and eats those who harm society in some way (pick your poison for what that means) and then over time becomes less picky.

They're just humans, after all.

Albus probably isn't invited to stay in Volterra, he's not all that interesting. He doesn't become a human doctor, he's just your ordinary vampire. He might hang around libraries as much as he can but that's about as far as that extends.

He probably turns a Gellert equivalent at some point as a mate and they have a grand time together.

Edward is never turned nor the rest of the Cullens and Bella dies in a parking lot.
