that's the fun thing about fanfic you're not held to standards like "why the fuck would you write something that might end up being 400k" and "don't you think this has horrendous pacing problems". "who is going to read chapters that average at 20k" barely anyone and it doesn't matter. "do you really need all this" probably not. "are you going to abandon this when you have the very rough first draft out because you'll get the worm out of your brain and realize that the characterizations are probably horrendous" PROBABLY but no one's paying me so it's fine

Yutaka staring at that text, remembering back to his family choosing him but also not choosing him, saying he was part of their family but never honoring it and finding this new family in Minoru and Tane and what it feels like to be wanted and to be loved and to be accepted, something he's never known... it's so healing, it's filled to the brim with healing, it's what he always wanted but never had until they brought it to him and reminded him that he has value on his own, all on his own and all of him.

Does Raine follow a religious faith? Or did she once have a faith which she lost? If she isn’t religious then how does she feel about those who are (eg friends / family members)?
Raine was raised with a nominal belief in the Twelve, but her family is not especially devout and she couldn't really be called a worshiper. Growing up in Thavnair meant she was exposed to faiths other than that of the Twelve at an early age, and learned to keep an open mind without cleaving strongly to any particular faith.
Her adventures only reinforced this. Between learning the nature of how primals come to be, and personally meeting with no few entities which could be described as gods - not to mention in most cases defeating them in combat - what Raine has taken away is that any given god probably exists in some form, and all of them are still essentially just people. Immensely powerful, perhaps, but not omnipotent and certainly not infallible.
Nevertheless, she respects the faiths of those around her so long as that faith is not used to justify harming the undeserving. Whether it's the Twelve, the Thavnairian manusya, the Doman kami, or some other faith altogether, if it gives them comfort and isn't hurting anyone then it doesn't really matter if Raine fully understands it or not. She'd certainly rather live and let live than emulate the militant atheism of the Garlean Empire which holds that any kind of faith in a higher power is a sign of weakness that should be stamped out.

please i love you i'm begging you bring back suspension of disbelief bring back trusting the audience like. i cannot handle any more dialogue that sounds like a legal document. "hello, i am here to talk to you about the incident from a few minutes ago, because i feel you might be unwell, and i am invested in your personal wellbeing." "thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!
do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

collection of useful things tumblr has taught me:
even if you can't fall asleep, laying down with your eyes closed will still rest your body
you don't have to brush your teeth standing up
you don't have to do any chore standing up, from dishes to showering
you don't have to shower with the lights on
if you can't brush your teeth, flossing and a tongue scraper gets rid of plaque and bad breath
if you can't do that, mouthwash kills a lot of bacteria
eating "unhealthy" food is better than eating no food
you can make the same meal everyday for however long you still want it
some pills come in syrups or chewables if you can't swallow them
kids nutritional shakes can be a quick way to get fuel if you can't eat/don't have time
if walking hurts/exhausts you on a regular basis, canes and rollers are for you, no matter how young you are
we have free will—if doing something "out of the ordinary" makes life easier for you, do it
if you have even a dollar to spare, please consider donating to Alaikum's family.
they're a large family at only 10% of their goal to evacuate, and could use any help you can give!!
