catch me taking a quick detour in the Main Plot of the mom city fix it just to address the roy kent and jamie tartt of it all. imagine if you had the poster of your hero on the wall of your childhood bedroom and then you grew up and met that hero and he wasn't anything like what you'd hoped he'd be. and then he's better. and he loves you. and he tells you he's proud of you............... . .. ..
imagine if you saw your face on the poster on the wall of your nemesis-turned-accidental-best-friend's childhood bedroom and had to take a walk about it. imagine if you realized you hadn't treated him the way he deserves. imagine if you learned how to set aside the anger and make room for something more................ . . ... .. .
#WAUUUUUGH#sorry i'm in my feelings abt roy and jamie and the parallels between roy's anger + james's anger#and the parallels between jamie and phoebe and how roy loves them both#there's just so much to think abt. so much............. . .. ..#wahhh#mom city fix it#ted lasso#roy kent#jamie tartt#sid speaks

What are the flaws in S3 of Ted lasso according to you?
they spent 2 seasons developing an amazing relationship between roy and keeley, then in 3x01 gave roy and keeley the shittiest, most pathetic breakup in history. keeley was not prepared for it, she was totally blindsided. roy says it’s because they’re both busy but we know it’s much more and deeper than that because of roy’s story about him leaving chelsea, which was clearly a deliberate parallel to their breakup but we are still completely left in the dark about roy and haven’t seen him actually address his self loathing and how he feels he doesn’t deserve keeley.
then they bring jack into the picture. keeley’s storylines only revolve around her relationships and for her to help other characters grow. if they were gonna do the dumb move of breaking up roy and keeley they could’ve and should’ve had keeley go on her own journey alone and grow on her own. she went right from jamie to roy to jack. however i do believe there is more to jack than just being keeley’s love interest and we’re definitely gonna see this next week. they keep bringing up her wealth and power and rebecca kept comparing her to rupert 😬
while i do love roy coaching jamie, roy feels pretty insignificant to this season. why aren’t they showing us him learning how to express and handle his emotions and realising he is worthy of love and especially keeley’s love. we haven’t even had any moments between him and phoebe, who is so important and a huge part of his life. we only got that one short scene with them in his car in 3x01. this season is letting roy and keeley’s characters go to waste.
another thing is how keeley is so isolated from everyone else. not just from roy but rebecca too.
we’re 7 episodes in and are only now just starting to see the redemption arc of nate but also not really. he’s working on overcoming his insecurities and gaining real self confidence but i just need to see him make real amends with ted, the team and keeley already.
i could list more things but those are the big issues for me
