Fae Dick meeting Talon Dick. How do you think that would go?
catastrophically, actually 😭
Fae!Dick would take one look at Talon!Dick and know. Know he’s unnatural. Wrong. Not in the way fae!dick is wrong, but something… something isn’t right with him. Somehow there’s an air of nothing about him. Like the world tries to shrink away from talon!dick, like the absolute absence of natural life.
He knows this version of himself got twisted from something human to something that is human-adjacent only in the vaguest sense of the word.
And he doesn’t like it.
Talon!dick would have a similar epiphany, but more in a “this guy is dangerous” sense. Dangerous enough to be a threat to them all. To Jason.
And… well, we all know talon!dick doesn’t take kindly to that last part lol.
I think they’d end up attacking each other because they perceive the other as a THREAT (all in caps). And it would take Talon!Dick’s Jason to stop it and at least one of fae!dick’s family.
#look one is a creature of nature#the purest form of life and chaos and balance that exists in the world#and the other is an experiment that got injected with a chemical that changed his genetic makeup#it’s a match made in hell lol#I don’t think they’d ever get along#but they’d call a ceasefire for their family#owl song#fae dick grayson#talon dick grayson#ghost talks

OMG, I’VE BEEN WANTING TO SHARE THIS AU FOR A MINUTE—
Meet my Magnificence Reforged AU Connie!
Though Scorponok only ever referred to her as Experiment: A9-2416 (usually in Decepticon dialect).
Her story is that Scorponok created her as an experiment to see what would happen if an organic was able to produce a set of chemicals that are deemed somewhat powerful, yet common, by organic standards but emphasized to a certain degree with the help of Cybertronian technology. Entirely inspired by the mere Earth-Human conceptual myth known as the—
Indomitable Human Spirit.
What Scorponok was able to take away from eight years of properly caring for the experiment is that these chemicals that fuel basic organic functioning can be utilized exponentially to a degree where a full grown one of these things could even rival some of Cybertron’s strongest warriors. Maybe even the galaxy’s toughest warriors wouldn’t be able to stand a chance.
It became labeled as Adrenalineregon.
(dope naming skills I know)
It turned out to be some crazy-powerful stuff once injected into a strong enough specimen.
Now why would Scorponok need to make something like this? Power? Recognition? Fun? All of the above honestly. But it’s also because in this Alternate Universe the Decepticons won the war for Cybertron, and Megatron has already built his perfect Decepticon Army to conquer the rest of the known universe, and he and the Grand Architect thought their Army of Tarn clones needed a little more pep-in-their-step.
You heard me. TARN. CLONE. ARMY.
(this isn’t a specifically cyberverse based timeline I just took the tarn army as inspo)
But what they didn’t expect was for the Tarn clones to go insane and turn on each other when being on mere drops of Adrenalineregon. Resulting in a mass extinction of Tarn Clones, with too many bodies to count, therefore being dropped on top of Scorpnok’s planet sized lab to remind him of the consequences of his actions.
EX: A9-2416 was, at the time, forever curious about the outside world, since she’s never been above the expansive laboratory planet’s surface. It always felt as if some unseen beings were trying to lead her to her escape every day since as long as she can remember. Small sign after small sign, guiding her to even bigger signs that kept getting her closer and closer to the way out. Of course, Scorponok always stopped her from getting too close.
A9-2416 always hated the amount of gruesome tests she had to do afterwards as punishment for misbehaving.
Until on her ninth birthday, A9-2416 finally made it to the exit, and Scorponok got exceptionally pissed off so much that in self-defense A9-2416 grabbed the nearest cannon she knew how to operate and blasted it through his spark. She cried a lot that day.
BUT HEY! Her life didn’t stay too depressing for long, because soon after she committed her very first act of murder, she became good buddies with the little voices in the walls that have been apparently guiding her throughout her life!
THE LOSTBOT BOTBOTS!!

(lol I’m nowhere near finished with every Lost Bot design, I just wanted to finish these couple few and make this post for the AU)
MEET THE LOST BOTS CLAN OF THE BOTBOTS!
They’ve been trapped on Scorponok’s Lab-planet-tory (im so funny) for decades along with the other Botbots who remained in hiding. But this clan was the only one brave enough to get anywhere near Scorponok’s main stomping grounds. What they didn’t expect to find was some weird sentient purple meat-potato in a makeshift industrial cradle. Turns out it was just a baby. And that baby turned out to be A9-2416. Who soon became known as Connie.
.
.
.
After A9-2416 escaped the inner dwellings of the lab and joined the Lost Bots on their little side quests up on the surface, she later changed her name to Constance, hence her more well-known nickname being Connie. The name change was suggested by her Botbot friends who knew a bit about Earth human culture and used their knowledge to help Connie have the most happy and carefree life that she could ask for.
.
.
.
Also the TEG Lost Light crew is there because I’m still obsessed with that fic 👍✨

s4 episode 9 "terma" thoughts
this day had aspects which i did not care for, which is why i am hoping that the thrilling tale of mulder escaping a gulag will bring light and warmth to my heart.
author’s note, post episode: i need answers i need answers i need those slugs destroyed. this episode vastly improved my day and i remembered the simple joys of being alive, such as watching silly TV shows where the characters have an indescribable bond. truly a pleasure to be alive despite it all. scully and mulder, you have shown me such wisdom.
excellent moments for both scully and mulder in this one, which i treasure deeply, and also their together moments made my heart soar. genuinely a good ep!
let us gather to watch this tale!
we begin with a “previously on the x files”. i really hate that shot of mulder squished under that wire cage; it’s deeply unpleasant and i imagine so was the filming experience.
after that, we journey to a convalescent home in florida. now. the last time we went to a convalescent home, i have tried very purposefully for forget what went down. so my expectations here are low.
someone just waltzed in at night and is looking at the old people sleeping with a flashlight.... is this allowed? it probably shouldn't be. is she looking for someone in particular?
she finds auntie janet and says it is time, he is waiting. now what does that mean?!?!
so she takes auntie janet out and there is some man that she’s in the car with?? he’s hooking auntie janet up to various chemicals. she says she’s tired of the pain and the doctor-y figure puts the green stuff into her. ah, i see what is going on here, as auntie janet hugs this woman and says she is her angel of mercy.
so it looks like she died, but instead of just dying and that being it, there are oily slugs coming from her nose and mouth. which…. i mean, it’s better for them to come out in a controlled environment and after her passing, right? that seems ideal, all things considered. except for the fact that the oily slugs will now crawl into these people, so that’s a bummer.
HEY! the changed the text after the intro. “E PUR SI MUOVE” <- is that latin? hold on
i didn’t want to figure out what the whole phrase meant because that was part of the fun!! but in trying to figure out if “muove” was latin or italian or portuguese or something, i learned what the whole phrase meant and that it is significant for being uttered by galileo. darn! well, if i had to learn it before i wanted to, you shall too, i suppose. although i imagine if you read this blog, you’ve seen all this before. hmm.
we are in st. petersburg. FORMERLY LENINGRAD! but no longer at this point. someone is knocking at an old russian guy’s door. a young gentleman tells this old guy that “the cold war isn’t over”
damn. still rings true in 2024.
and also he gives the old guy an envelope.
mulder is sleeping in a jail cell. he’s very tucked into that corner. it's adorable, in a certain way. someone is whispering to him. mystery other prisoner guy who can speak english said that he has been lying there for hours, and that the first time (referring to his alien injection) is “bad, very bad”
he calls this alien injection the “black cancer” that lives in the rock. this mystery man used to be a geologist! he was there when they found the fragments! woah... a rock guy... and look what they have done to him :(
okay, so this black cancer comes from the tunguska rock. got it. i am tracking the lore.
so at least hundreds of people have died here, and they seem to be searching for a cure to the black cancer after they inject it into their test subjects.
well! it is almost comforting that maybe both scully and mulder will die horrific early deaths, but at least together, right? because. the actual cancer that she probably has. and the weird creature in his veins now. they’ll have each other, i guess?
sighs. this is not providing me much comfort.
“i’m not gonna die. i have to live long enough to kill that man krycek” <- YAAAAAS i cheered!!!! his dogged determination has now been set to bloodlust mode!! hey, whatever keeps you alive!!!
mystery man sneaks mulder a shank he made over two weeks. that is a very dedicated thing to do, and even more profound to spend all that time and then give it to someone else. “it is wonderful- the persistence of life” damn…. bro has me thinking…. life really IS a gift, huh
back to the USA, where scully is tending to the mysteriously ill dr. sachs, who if you need a refresher, was the guy who was cutting into the mystery rock before he was mysteriously paralyzed. his blood looks a bit thickened (gag) and also there is something in there. EW!!! EW
EW NASTY WORMS ATTACHED TO A GLAND IN HIM?!?!?!?!
no no no don’t care for that thank you!!!
in virginia, some people get on a bus, including an old man who is eating an apple. they are going to charlottesville.
also there are some horses. the apple man snuck onto a farm with horses. IS IT GONNA BE THE WELL-GROOMED MAN’S FARM???
is it the russian guy??? well, he introduces himself as “vassily peskow” which seems to answer that question.
(in googling this to make sure i spelled his name right, i saw that he has something to do with "the syndicate"- is that the official name of the group i have been referring to as the UN alien people for 3 seasons now?!)
he is speaking to the woman who we earlier saw give that stuff to auntie janet, but he has come to see her! her name is dr. charne-sayre, and while i know nothing about her besides her willingness to euthanize her aunt, she seems to have handled a strange old man showing up and touching her horses quite well, because personally i would be throwing hands.
OH!!! HE STARTS CHOKING HER?? the horses are neighing with fury.
what… did i just see…
scully! at home!!! so pretty….
skinner is behind her!!! he is MAD! he has been trying to get ahold of her all day! well, she was busy??? cut a girl some slack???
he says she owes him some answers about this mystery pouch. he is maaaad! he has to testify tomorrow!! he harbored a known felon!!! ooo he’s gonna get in troubleeeee
she very calmly explains that the pouch has a rock with some sort of creature in it that she has been trying to figure out all day. she handled his anger quite, well all things considered. never forgetting to say “sir”.
but she doesn’t know where it was supposed to be going. HOWEVER…. skinner does! it was going to dr. charne-sayre!!!
scully knows who this is!! because she is a nerd. said with heart eyes. dr. charne-sayre is a virologist, who has looked in on presidents and also is an authority on “variola viruses” which means something i’m sure, but it’s a mystery to me
OH! it means smallpox! she has been trying to get people to destroy the last remaining smallpox vials.
(WAIT IS THAT A THING?? is humanity really keeping some smallpox in some bottles somewhere???? i need to look something up after this and the adjust my levels of panic for biowarfare accordingly.
GOOD NEWS! wikipedia says the last vials were finally destroyed in 2015! that feels like it took too long...
wait. just kidding. it highlighted an irrelevant part of the article. another page says they are still out there, the ones in atlanta and russia that scully refers to in the episode. i feel no relief after all.
the ones that WERE destroyed were 350+ vials of smallpox that had just been lost????? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN???
damn. i need to go down a rabbit hole later that is going to teach me some unsettling things)
anyway, skinner breaks the news that dr. charne-sayre was killed, but blames it on a horse. and i saw what went down and it did not look like any hooves were involved, so idk how tf they came to that conclusion. a choking and hoof marks are not at all comparable??
back to da gulag. a guy kicks mulder and leads him out with a bunch of other men. i find myself wondering about all of the extras there that day, how the filming went.
UH OH! krycek is up smoking with one of the bigwigs of the gulag!!!! what is he DOING??? the geologist prisoner who gave him the shank says mulder has one chance to kill him, and he pulls out his weapon. OMG HE’S RUNNING FOR IT!!! does he stand a chance?!?
that dude is absurdly fast bro. he gets two solid punches into krycek and steals a truck!!! where is he going!!!
horse vs truck race!!!! who will win??? i hope it’s the truck!!!
so he knocked krycek tf out and took him on the bed of the truck... that is hilarious
i hope all the other prisoners break out too :)
okay, the men on horses are shooting at mulder. krycek wakes up and is slamming the back of the truck. what i want to know is where mulder, who has a famously terrible sense of direction, is driving!!!
he’s trying to hit the brakes but it’s not really working!!! and krycek jumped off!!!! where does he think he’s gonna go 😭😭
no!!! mulder crashes the truck!!! ouch ouch ouch!!
well, instead of resolving that plot line, we jump to the well-groomed man (am i using his name right?) chatting with cancer man in the dark. cancer man bullies him for smoking, as if we don’t only know him as cigarette smoking man or cancer man, but well-groomed man is pissed at cancer man’s various failures!! and wouldn’t you be??
oh!! that person riding the horses- dr. charne-sayre- was well-groomed man’s personal physician! there’s some weird tension between these old men now that he needs the help of cancer man to figure out what went down
“were you sleeping with her?” csm asks, making us all uncomfortable. and well-groomed man doesn’t answer!!!!!!!! EW!!! nasty!!!! he put the mission at risk for his personal pleasure!
damn. hate when cancer man is right about things.
well, i guess they’re both flops at their job. that should unite them rather than pull them apart.
cancer man asks well-groomed man (and that is definitely going to get confusing quick) to call off "the investigation", which he says he cannot do. but senator sorenson is an honorable man. do we believe him?
i do not.
somehow, cancer man knows mulder was captured in tunguska and has escaped. i don’t know how this plays into their plan, but cancer man is smirking. suspicious... i hate his creepy smirk.
okay, back to russia. we see the truck that mulder crashed and a bunch of blood on the window, which are not auspicious signs. but no one is in there!!!! the men on horses are baffled!!!
krycek is in the woods, being surrounded by a bunch of people and speaking in russian, claiming to have escaped from the prison camp. they realize from his clothes he is lying about being a prisoner, but they believe that he was accused of spying and take him in?? i guess??
OMG!!! mulder was hiding under a ton of leaves while the men on horses looked for him!!! it was giving a real peeta in the 74th hunger games moment.
so, now we are where we started last episode, with scully swearing to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help her god. and she is reading her prepared statement. people are passing notes as she does so. and then they are rude as hell and cut her off.
skinner is watching all of this go down, and as she tears into the culture of lawlessness, he does look like he kinda wants to die. but i think she’s serving.
OMG!!!! they’re taking her to jail!!!! she said idgaf i am NOT giving up mulder’s secrets and that is a REAL ASF FRIEND!!! she’s in jail in her kickass outfit and omggggg what a queen… crossing her arms as she stares out the window…. i love her so deeply
back to russia, where some guy finds mulder under a ton of leaves, and yells at him for breaking his truck. sorry!! it was an accident. he didn’t mean it :(
the woman he is with is gonna tend to him though, because mulder has that sad puppy dog thing going on.
she knows some english!!! woah!!! this is convenient for plot reasons and also fuels my determination to keep learning another language so i can be the cool side character that saves the day at least once.
she says that they kill everybody for “the test”, and that her husband makes deliveries, so they spare their lives. but now, no truck…
mulder says we need to get tf out of here, the smallpox scar is tracking you. she says there is an alternative, and gestures to her son with no arms. i do not think this is a good alternative. and the husband comes back in with a knife!!! are we gonna have some hand to hand combat…….
krycek is sleeping by a fire, but then a bunch of people come and get him. one of them has a heated knife!!! are we in amputation mode…
oh. he sure is screaming as that knife is going in… yes, it appears we are in amputation mode
scully is in jail, reading the works of dr. charne-sayre, because she is studious even behind bars!!!! i love that about her. highlighter in hand as she ponders.
skinner comes to see her! “you holding up?” “i’ve got plenty to read” awwww :( skinner cares about her :( big old softie :( and she is gonna read her way through jail :( she’s just so :(
she clarifies that this is NOT just about mulder!!!! this idiotic commission is wasting time asking about mulder and not about the pouch, the murder, the rock, or anything ACTUALLY RELEVANT at all!!!
“it is my experience that lawyers ask the wrong questions only when they don’t want the right answer” DAMN what kind of lawyers has she dealt with…? probably plenty in her FBI time. but still. she has seen things.
“it is my natural inclination to believe they are acting in the best interest of the truth” aww… she wants to assume the best of these obviously very shady men
“but i am not inclined to follow my own judgement in this case” <- she said y’all are so god awful not even my natural optimism can salvage this (and i love her for knowing her limits)
skinner makes a remark about following mulder’s judgement instead and i can’t tell if he was trying to be hurtful or not…
back to dr. sachs, dealing with his rock induced injury. NO! the russian guy vassily is here! with a needle!!! what does he need that for??? go away!! i like that rock scientist!!
he’s getting this orange fluid in a syringe and he sticks it into dr. sachs and BLEH i cannot look…………. but the slugs!!! the oil slugs!!!!!
NO!!! he takes the rock and unplugs the machines dr. sachs was on!!! HE CAN’T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS 💔
cancer man is explaining that vassily was in the KGB… “how could this be? how could the russians know we were working on our own inoculation?” asks well-groomed man, “six of us knew!”
an anti-alien vaccine! this could be useful,,, maybe? idk.
cancer man is tasked with finding vassily… but he says someone might save him the trouble
cut to scully back in front of the fancy congress slash senator slash corrupt government people…. she has had time to think about the question she was asked.
and she says she cannot answer! she keeps listing off things she can answer instead, but not about this!
OH! MULDER APPEARS!!! “answer the question miss scully!” (mulder voice) “what is the question?”
YEAHHHHH THAT’S MY GUY!!!
HER REACTION TO HIS VOICE… the little orchestral flourish… his beat up face… his stupid smirk. wait i have to rewatch this. LOOK AT HER FACE WHEN SHE SEES HIM!!!
she says that the death of the doctor was connected to the death of the man in skinner’s apartment, and dr. charne-sayre FOR SURE knew information about the virus. and while i am happy for her triumphant moment, skinner walks in and whispers something to her….
dr. sachs has died under suspicious circumstances!!
this is obviously very important, but in the background you can see mulder say something to skinner, and he reacts as if deeply annoyed. lmaoooo we are soooooo back!!
the bigwigs on the council go to recess, and the absolute MILLISECOND that gavel is slammed, these two nerds JUMP UP to see each other, it’s so cute oh my goshhhh it is for sure making my list of favorite moments this season
AWWW AND THEY HUG AND HE SAYS “good to put my arms around you” OHHHHH MY GODDDD OH MY GOOOOD THE WAY HE’S LOOKING AT HER (and the remark about still having both arms she obviously doesn’t understand yet!!!!)
(screaming into my pillow for a solid 30 seconds before composing myself)
skinner jumps in and says “some other time” when she asks how he got back LMAOOO he has had ENOUGH
scully says please skinner let us go to florida for 15 hours please 🙏 it should be quick but if it isn’t please stall for us please sir…. and he’s all “girl just go and be fast about it” (sternly)
okay! so why florida? because that is where one of dr. charne-sayre’s patients at a convalescent home died of a mysterious virus! yes, as we saw in the very beginning!!!!
NO!! vassily is here!!! can he just wander in?? is that allowed? why are people coming and going from this convalescent home…? is there not a sign in process…?
he’s going for the meds. he pockets some meds and replaces them with a decoy.
“may we come in ma’am?” mulder asks, shoving his way in <- LMAOOOO god that gag gets me every single time
so they need to look at the elderly, and scully reports that this dude she just walked up to is dead. and he sees another one with the slugs!!!
these people are test subjects, he says!!! and they have to deal this building right now!!
no!!! vassily was laying in a bed and heard all of this!!! what is this mischievous fellow up to???
mulder says all of this can be traced to one man. and scully…. oh my gosh, the side profile, my heart……
IS KRYCEK WORKING WITH VASSILY?
scully and mulder go to visit the leader of the militia they busted krycek with at the beginning of last episode. scully looks so good i’m actually going to gnaw my own arm off holy fuck. that blue trench coat and grey suit combo is lethal.
so this criminal is denying finding krycek in a missile silo, and said krycek came to him. looking for help to make “devices”, and talking about this black cancer developed by the soviets, and used in the gulf war. so how did he get out of the silo....
OH! mulder asks where the other “device” (bomb) ended up, and when the militia leader says “i ate it”, he punches this guy in the stomach and puts him in a headlock. and then he says some very out of pocket things i am not going to repeat, but the point is: krycek took the bomb and put it in a storage garage somewhere in terma, north dakota. ah! the name of this episode is finally understandable!
“scully, get on the phone and get the license numbers for any two-ton trucks stolen in north dakota in the last six months, then call canadian border authorities and have them stop any vehicle fitting that description” (said while gazing into her eyes)
(this line killed me for some reason and i can’t even explain it… just such an odd series of commands out of context!)
“someone used krycek, then krycek used us; someone who didn’t want that rock in american hands” ah. so this whole thing has been a set up. you see, i was too busy thinking thoughts like “i hope he gets out of the gulag” and also “man, i hope scully doesn’t go to jail” and “look at how they hugged!” to put that together. sometimes i am a simple viewer making no conclusions about the grander plot at hand! sometimes i am surface level! i am multi-faceted!
vassily is gonna put the rock back in the ground under the guise of fertilizer for his tomatoes
WOAH!!! agents in a helicopter :0 they look so good….
mulder is trying to scream over the loud noise of the helicopter doing its thing, which i imagine had to be an awful time to film. scully wisely just nods her head instead of attempting to communicate with words.
haha his hair is all messed up from the helicopter… hehehehe…
so he’s looking in the truck for any sort of rocks or bombs or whatnot. he sees some pipes… he is forming conclusions…
scully disembarks from the helicopter, and her hair is all messed up too (my heart!) as she climbs over a fence to get into this refinery. one thing about these two is they are gonna climb some fences!
vassily sees this going down and hides…… mulder is reaching into the pipe…. trying to grab the hidden rock… he is covered in oil!!!!
and it blowed up!!!!!!!
no!!!! scully sees the explosion,,, and vassily sneaks up behind her and puts her in a chokehold!!! he grabs her gun!!! he says he will kill her but he doesn’t want to? and that his work is done.
damn, now she’s gotta get a new gun……
she’s RUNNING to mulder who is soaked in oil and has barely escaped the explosion. she is picking him up and then… cutscene to more testimony stuff.
GIRL IS HE OKAY???
i love when they save each other <3 i love when they have to pick each other up and drag each other to safety <3 i love the panicked screaming of the other’s name <3 i love the fast and furious assessment to see if the other is okay <3 i just love these things <3
scully has evidence to present: linking a number of deaths to a biotoxin brought onto US soil! and the man who delivered it also died! and that guy was the man who krycek pushed off skinner’s balcony!
“alex krycek, who is missing and possibly deceased” oh i know better than to believe his ass is dead
the council is whispering…
they laugh at the idea of extraterrestrials, and mulder also comes to the stand… what is he gonna do…
“why is this so hard to believe?” he asks. hey i know you’ve had a rough go of it man, and there is literally an alien slug in your body, but she was doing so well…
oh! he’s going on and on about how obvious it is that extraterrestrial life forms exist!! and you need to understand this or else you are denying crucial evidence!!!
ah, i see now why the opening text. just as galileo spoke of the earth rotating around the sun but was scorned, so mulder speaks of aliens and is met with disdain. and yet, the earth continues to spin, and the aliens continue to be in his bloodstream.
“this is not why we are here today” “then why ARE we here today?” okay parallels i see you!!!
they recess… and cancer man stands up in the back……..
back to russia, where vassily is returning home, insisting he is retired to someone in his room.
OH! IT’S KRYCEK! WHO IS ADDRESSED AS “COMRAD KRYCEK” bro… he is congratulating vassily on a great job
and omg… he’s got a prosthetic arm… they really sawed his arm off…
back at DC (home) the senator is reading files and passing them to cancer man, who is tossing them in a bin??? presumably to burn??
HUH! so much for an honorable man.
okay, so much happened here. let me go in order of which thoughts are loudest.
first of all… did they know this was gonna be what they did with krycek from the start? just asking because i want to know if “needs to be fluent in russian” was on the casting call for that role or if they sprung it on him later. because that would be wild.
krycek, working with the soviets… huh. interesting implications.
second. the alien!! there is alien oil slug in krycek AND mulder now!!!! what is that going to do to them? are they gonna turn into living flash bangs like that one lady did in that one episode?? is it gonna slowly kill him? will be and scully slowly die together? i can’t imagine such a horrible thing….
third. their reunion…. damn it, it was so sweet. the way they INSTANTLY got to their feet when the recess was declared… the way he wrapped his arms around her…. oh man. oh man. and the smiles… the smiles……..
so far, s4 has not really been my jam. but this episode was really good and has given me hope that soon we shall be cooking with gas, in terms of both very juicy plot advancement and special agent bonding moments. i mean, come on, lifting him out of that explosion while he was covered in oil??! i cannot get enough of that!!!
is he going to hide that he has an alien slug in him?? is he going to be that guy in the zombie movie who acts like he didn’t get bit?? or is he going to be honest and tell her?? will she try to find a cure? wait, does he even know what happened?? because he was knocked out when all of that went down…
and what about scully’s mystery illness!!!! is she going to be okay?? are they going to be terrified for each other??
okay, okay, one thing at a time.
so, there’s an alien virus in a rock that landed on earth during the tunguska event, and the americans were working on a vaccine to protect against it. but somehow the russians knew about it, and that is likely due to krycek, who was a double agent on like three counts. they killed the leading expert on the virus in order to prevent a vaccine from being developed, and have previously used the virus in biowarfare (so i guess gulf war syndrome is alien slugs in this universe?). the guy that krycek threw off of skinner’s apartment was the one who was meant to receive the rock containing aliens, but was killed, and said virus rock was intercepted by the russians, who are having a sort of cold war 2.0 moment. over alien slug virus. which, if exposed to, will eventually kill you; why it killed dr. sachs and not all of the other men who were at the gulag is a mystery. and to try and protect the americans against this virus, the leading expert, dr. charne-sayre was testing on the elderly. and cancer man wants to cover up all of the evidence which scully and mulder have presented linking all of the deaths to the rock.
okay. i think i got most of the lore down.
i want to know what happens next!!! but i am no fool!! i know we will be given random monster of the week episodes which are also excellent but tell me nothing about the plot!!! and now that we’re dealing with alien slugs, i’m wondering, what about the actual little green men? where do they come in? is this a third type of alien? because we have the little green men we’ve seen glimpses of, sometimes mixed with human DNA; we’ve got the aliens that were clones from that species with the poison blood and can only be killed with the needle to the neck; and then these alien slugs. and also a few other random non-central to the plot alien life forms, like the ones in firewalker and ice.
where is the common thread?? how can they tie all of these up?? would tying all of these mysteries up even be satisfying?? or is it better to let some things be a mystery?? did chris carter have plans for all of this overarching stuff, or was he making it up as he went?
so many questions! but for me, basking in the warmth of their hug is my highlight
#i love how they did not answer the question “how did he actually get home” and i was so caught up in the euphoria#of seeing them be reunited i didn't even bother to ask that question myself#until i was proofreading my notes today#wow... i see how easily fooled i am from plot holes with simple tricks such as “make the main characters talk and people will ignore it”#what a fool i am! or not. hey listen sometimes i'm in a noticing things mood and sometimes i'm not#anyway. a really great episode. had they not hugged i would probably have said it was too much at once.#but they hugged so i'm satisfied. and we got some good character moments for both of them. REALLY good.#so i'm happy!#juni's x files liveblog#4x09#the x files#txf

Hmm anon from kid Vos post again. I also noticed that he looks a bit different as a kid not only because he doesn't have gray hair, but also some other details, like his eyes are a different color and in general he doesn't have vertical pupils 🤔 And sharp nails
Is something happen to him that changed his appearance?
I should talk a bit about my hum Vos headcanons uwu
he was always interested in chemistry and experiments, he read a lot of literature, when he got a bit older, in one abandoned basement he organized his mini laboratory, where he studied chemicals and mixed them
all the metamorphoses of his body (fangs, claws, etc) were the result of the side effects of the experimental injections that he had tested on himself
so, one of the experiments changed his eyes, which made his eyesight very sharp, which later made him not only a scientist, but also a sniper (aand I like to think Vos sees as well in the dark as he does in the daytime)
later he conducted experiments on his victims
UPD. it's worth clarifying that this happened before the war and his gray hair appeared for another reason, as well as the scars on his face!!!!
#I realized I never talking much about my hcs sorry hahah#transformers#maccadam#mtmte#djd#Vos#idw Vos#humanformers#tf au

What Does Miguel’s Injection Do?
When I first watched Miguel’s injection scene in ATSV, it reminded me of the scene where Miles got his spider bite in ITSV. So, this post will focus on any parallels between the two sequences to figure out the purpose of Miguel’s injection.

The images above show Miles’s bite and Miguel’s injection in a similar manner as the images on the right place emphasis on the spider visual (both the animal and logo), the middle images show the spider/needle making direct contact with the Spiderperson’s skin, and images on the left emphasize the spider’s fangs and the ends of the needle entering the bloodstream. It’s clear in ITSV that the serum from Miles’s spider bite is supposed to give him his spider powers, so it’s likely that the serum from Miguel’s injection performs a similar function where it directly affects his spider powers. There’s also how the needle shown in the right image has the same spider skull insignia that Miguel has on his suit. Coupled with how this image parallels the image of the spider biting Miles, it indicates that this injection is related to his position as Spider-Man, rather than any personal drug addiction.
This eliminates the idea that this injection could be Rapture, an addictive drug Miguel accidentally took in his 90’s comics, since he got the drug out of his system through a lab experiment that indirectly led to him gaining his Spider powers. While Miguel getting Rapture is the inciting incident that causes him to perform the experiment, the drug itself does not give Miguel his Spider powers. If Miguel’s injection were to be Rapture or some other drug, it contradicts his origin story and how the serum relates to his Spider abilities.

The images above show the spider based liquid interacting with Miles and Miguel’s bloodstream. For Miles, the teal chemicals from the liquid encircle his blood cells to transfer Spider powers. Meanwhile, Miguel’s injection releases these mini green eight-legged contraptions, reminiscent of a spider, that latch themselves onto his blood cells. The teal spider liquid’s transferring of Spider powers looks naturalistic in the way it fuses the chemicals and Miles’s blood cells together. However, the green contraptions’ transfer looks more artificial as they force themselves to attach to Miguel’s blood cells, instead of fusing into each other.

These images present what happens to Miles and Miguel’s blood cells after the Spider serum has been transferred. After Miles’s teal Spider chemicals have fused into his red (pre-existing) blood cells, they start duplicating into teal blood cells that signify him getting his Spider powers and the combining of his Spider and human sides. Meanwhile, when Miguel’s green spider contraptions latch onto his red (pre-existing) blood cells, they turn blue, signifying the transfer of Spider powers.
It’s also important to note that in Miguel’s origin story, him getting his Spider powers led to his DNA becoming 50% Spider and 50% human. So, unlike Miles’s pre-existing blood cells that were fully human, Miguel’s pre-existing blood cells are already 50/50 Spider and human. Additionally, Miguel’s green contraptions look like they’re fully activating the Spider DNA in his blood cells as indicated by the color change from red to blue, which parallel the color change Miles’s blood cells go through, from red to teal, once his Spider powers have been fully transferred. Thus, Miguel’s injection is likely meant to enhance his pre-existing Spider DNA, causing his genetic pendulum to swing from 50/50 to a slight 60/40, favoring his Spider side.

While there are theories that Miguel’s injection could be genetic stabilizers, there’s too many references to Miles’s Spider transformation and Miguel’s Spider side in the sequence that would indicate the serum stabilizing or reducing Miguel’s Spider DNA. In addition, with the serum enhancing Miguel’s Spider DNA, it would explain his change in appearance since the last film as he got a growth spurt and increased in muscle mass. This parallels Miles’s growth spurt after his Spider bite, although Miguel likely uses these injections multiple times, which explains would why his gains are much larger.
It’s also interesting how Miguel’s Spider serum enhancing his Spider DNA highlights a common Spiderperson’s conflict where they try to balance their Spider and personal identities. In ATSV, Miles and Gwen go through this conflict internally, which causes them to focus more on the former and hurts their personal lives in the process. With Miguel’s Spider serum, this conflict gets externalized where Miguel is not only in a struggle between his Spider-Man and Miguel O’Hara identities, but also between his Spider side and his humanity (literally emphasizing his duality between being a Spider and a Man). As Miguel opts for the former, signified by him taking the Spider serum, a lot of his humanity gets lost as seen in his uncontrollable rage and him heading down a darker path towards the end of the film.

Hey Fractualized, how are you?
About the Telltale Joker, how did he get the pale skin and green hair? Since he has a different origin from the comics version.
Do you think that somehow John was one of the victims of Thomas Wayne's illegal experiments or is the origin of John's condition linked to some other villain? (My guess is Hugo Strange) and Telltale didn't have time to explore it.
Sorry for any grammatical errors, English is my second language.
Hey! Bummed the weekend is coming to a close, but there'll be another one soon enough. And no need to apologize!
While I know Telltale's writing happened in a time crunch, I don't think that's why they didn't explore an origin for John. I think they simply chose not to, which is an instinct I applaud.
Across all Jokers, I am a big fan of keeping his past unknown, both for the fun of the possibilities and so that he remains a mystery that Bruce can never solve, yet another reason Joker vexes Batman. In Telltale, where John has his strange coloring before Bruce even meets him, I extend the mystery to the cause. I like the angst of Bruce convincing himself that if he can uncover what happened, it will help John in some way, but he never manages it. Also, Bruce's fixation on solving the mystery bothers John because John's focused on who he's making himself into now, and does Bruce not like that?? Strife!
Though I am attached to the idea that whatever happened to John happened at Ace Chemicals, and even though he doesn't remember it, that's why he's drawn there in both the vigilante and villain paths.
I've seen people propose John was one of Thomas's victims, but I don't think that fits. For one thing, Thomas's crime wasn't really experimenting on people. He was getting people illegally committed to Arkham if they got in his way. Whatever drugs he injected into them, the point was to alter their behavior so they seemed crazy, which legitimized trapping them in the asylum. He may have experimented in terms of changing what drugs he used to see if a new formulation would work better, but those observations weren't the point. The point was to expand his control over Gotham business and politics.
Also, I think the timing is way off. Bruce and John seem about the same age to me, which indicates that John was also a child when Thomas and Martha were murdered. Sure, there's a chance that little John witnessed something that would be bad for Thomas if he testified or went to the newspapers, but I still think he would've been too young to be committed to Arkham (and again I don't think it explains his skin and hair color). Also, while John has amnesia, he knows so much information about Lady Arkham's origins and such in Season 1 that I think he would've figured out if he was connected to Thomas Wayne— and we'd definitely know if that was the case because that would mean John is connected to Bruce, and John would've been over the freaking moon.
If you wanted to tie John's origin to another villain, Hugo Strange would definitely be a better fit than Thomas since he's done some wacky experimentation. Perhaps he was testing chemicals in his youth, and his trials acidified poor John, traumatizing him so badly that it nuked his memory. And then Strange pulled some strings and stowed his failed lab rat away in Arkham (since the place is definitely still corrupt after Thomas dies). But as I said, if I were to write it, this would just be a possibility. It would be a story Bruce put together that make so much sense in theory, but enough pieces are missing or don't fit that he can never be sure. And John's like, "You want me to try to bring back possible memories of being endlessly tortured by a mad scientist?? You okay there, buddy?"

Scientist log: the spook cafe gang
Teal: found another group of creatures, this time they were a pair of two demons,a werewolf,a vampire and a..swamp monster I guess. For the first demon, teal,I wanted to make him something equally as vial,so I had my assistant make him look like a zombie, several stitch marks were sewn onto his body, his shoulders were removed to expose his bones, though you can’t see it cause of his long sleeves, though the stitches seem to have caused his skin or furr to become paler, apart from crying a bit in the beginning, nothing seems to have changed.
Mangus: he in particular almost bit my assistant from self defense, but she was able to catch him. I got a bit creative with him,I made him into a multi link. First,my assistant ended up attaching three tail like metal wires onto his back, the two smaller ones are tucked under his shirt while he uses the big one as a third arm. Then I had her add elements to him, fire, water, ice and poison,my assistant injected all theses elements based chemicals into his skin, this caused his arms and legs to become irritated, turning a light shade of red, blue, white and purple, but again, since he’s wearing long clothes, you can’t see it. This gave him to power to control and manipulate these elements even giving others a poisonous bite if he wanted to,however, there was a cost, the amount of chemicals and magic in his system caused his eyes to go black with his pupils glowing a light red,as well as them bleeding he also got a much more intense hunger, revenging any food he could get his hands on,maybe that’s how he became so fat,for a while he appeared to have lost his vision, however,my assistant readjusted his glasses so that he could see again,as they had broken when he was captured, she says that before,he looked really hostile toward her, hissing at her,but when she put on his readjusted glasses,he stopped, she says that he looked stunned, what did that fatso see in her, kindness? HA! Not that anyone would be kind to her.
Pico: with this swamp monster,I decided to make him a monster that does belong in a swamp,my assistant sawed off his legs and replaced them with a snail like tail, attaching a snail shell to his back and attaching gills to his sides and cheeks,I essentially made him into a sea snail. Though, there’s side effects, his tongue became a bit longer from the aquatic functioning of his body and his skin became more aqua greenish, normally he is quite slow, for a while he kept himself in his cell, miserable, however, one day,my assistant ended up giving him a cauldron and random ingredients and his book, that had fallen off him when he was knocked out,she told him that someone had told him he really liked making potions so she brought him all the stuff he needed,I noticed there was a immediate mood change,as he went from depressed,to back to normal,it seems like he might’ve used a speed potion on himself cause after this, everyday,he’d zoom out of his cell, and zoom back into it at bedtime. Since he’s a seasnail,he can slip right into the water tanks if they’re not covered up and talk to whoever’s inside.
Petunia: the other demon in the group,by her outfit, she seemed like a waitress, and seeing how robots seem to be a lot of waiters now,I got an idea. My assistant chopped off her legs, and replaced them with a metal pipe, turning the pipe into a big long metal cord, she attached them to the roof. Petunia can’t walk on the floor, instead, she rolls around on the ceiling, allowing her to be really fast like a roller skater, however, she didn’t seem bothered by this change,as she helps serve the experiments and hostages in the cafeteria, not even looking tired. I believe she’s the one who asked my assistant to give pico his potion making equipment, and she says ever since she did that, she would often find a random treat and drink at her door ever since then,I think it’s her.
Bodie: since he is a werewolf,I got an idea what if I made him even MORE powerful? I had my assistant inject chemicals into his blood stream, this made his veins very visible and his eyes looking more animalistic,he has more strength and middle in his arms and legs, that is hard to see cause of,again, his long clothing. He can’t dent walls and break bones just by punching,he’ll,in his werewolf form he becomes even stronger, his body becoming nearly as big as his cell itself, and his strength and speed is increased, though his behavior becomes a bit more aggressive,he’s more easily agatated and can impulsively scratch those who anger him in this state, though his IS still himself,so he apologizes immediately after and so far, there’s no record of him biting someone. So far, there dosent seem to be much of a difference of behavior, other than him being a bit more confident after his experimentation.

Timeline:
Danny's Parents get hired by the League of Assassins to study the Lazarus Pools
Danny meets Damian and the two bond
When Danny is introduced to Damian's parent/Guardians:
Damian isn't allowed "friends" because "a friend is an equal" and Damian is better than everyone else - but tradition allows him to keep a pet and there's no stipulation on what animal the pet has to be. And sure, the tradition states that the pet will eventually have to be killed by Damian, but he will take what companionship he can get.
Also, I personally think it'd be funny for Damian's first ever event of “bringing home a stray to keep as a pet” is an entire human child – and no one in the LoA thinks it's weird – so when he moves in with his dad and mentions his first "pet"/friend, they have to figure out how to tell him that it's immoral if not illegal to have a human person as a pet.
When Damian is introduced to Danny's parent/guardians:
They give Danny a "check up" and a booster shot of mysterious green liquid. Damian interprets the check up as they are using Danny as an experiment, but he's not going to think it's weird or bad in any way – this is the League of Assassins, shady shit is what they do, and those are his parents, who verbally say that they love their kids and give them hugs after injecting them with barely chemicals they undoubtedly fully understand, surely they wouldn't do anything to permanently harm their own children.
(And, they are sorta kinda using Jazz and Danny as science experiments, but in like an anti-vax style "I know what's best for my kid. Do I know anything about human biology or medicine? Irrelevant, I'm doing what I think is right no matter how wrong everyone says it is (and doubling down because of how wrong everyone says I am)." with an added: they are scientists, doing never before done “medical practices” and writing everything down, and that technically makes what they're doing an experiment.)
The Schism happens where the LoA is split between those loyal to Ra's and those loyal to Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. Meaning: Damian and Danny were separated before they got to the point where Damian would need to kill Danny.
Damian is sent off to live with Batman while the LoA sorts itself out (Ra's is - well, they say he's dead forever now, but I have it on good authority he will be back and in possession of Tim's spleen. Talia is doing some Queen Regent type behavior, trying to lead the LoA while not being The Heir while Damian isn't old enough. Slade's doing whatever it is he's doing – leading his half of the LoA and probably manipulating teenagers.)
Danny's family settles down in a little city in the middle of nowhere and no one really gets close enough to the family to figure out they spent a couple years working for a murder-suicide eco-fascist world domination cult. Like, 1) the entire city thinks they're insane already because of the ghost nonsense, and 2) it's not so much they keep it a secret, but they talk about the LoA like it was just some foreign company they worked for for a little while, and no one would talk about an assassin organization that way, right?
Then Basically Just Canon Happens
Eventually Danny and Damian reunite! Things are different, they have changed, but they are still and forever will be, each other's first best friend.
Damian had never seen another person his age before.
“Wow, you're good at that.”
Damian froze in his practice and looked over at the boy. It was after his lesson, his instructor had other students to teach, and Damian had his own private training area. Well, it was supposed to be private. “Who are you?”
“Danny, what's your name?”
Damian glared at the boy. Who doesn't know who he is? “I am Damian Al-Ghoul, grandson of the Demon's Head, son of the Bat, heir to the League of Assassins.”
“Wow, that's a lot... Can I just call you Damian?”
“Servants call me Master. How did you get here?”
Danny shrugged, “I was just looking around.”
“Just looking around...”
“Yeah, my parents are in the science lab down in the bottom basement with the weird lake and I was helping them, but then I got board and Jazz said I wasn't allowed to leave the lab, but when I asked Dad, he said I could do what I want as long as I don't get in trouble.”
“Oh, the idiot scientists.” Damian remembered how his mother had described the new scientists hired to study the Lazarus Pools. A pair of geniuses when it came to the scientific study of magic but idiots in all other fields. Surely only idiots would bring their children to live with the League of Assassins.
“What do you mean? If you're a scientist you can't be an idiot?”
Damian huffed at the boy. “You can be smart at one thing and dumb at others. Like you could be good at reading but bad at numbers.”
“Oh, I guess that makes sense. But I'm pretty good at reading and numbers.” Danny then smiled brightly, “It looks like you're really good at swording though.”
“It's called swordplay. And yes, I am good at it. Better at it at my age than many who are older.”
“Can you show me how to do it?”
Damian contemplated for a moment, “As long as you don't get in the way of my practice, I don't see why not.”
Danny cheered as he ran up to where Damian was standing, but Damian pointed to the side of the training area, “There should be a spare sword over there you can use.”
Danny nodded and ran to get it then ran back.
Damian wasn't sure if he'd like showing Danny how to use a sword, but he liked how Danny followed all his instructions. It was different than how the servants followed his orders, but Damian couldn't place why. It became common place, for Danny to show up after Damian's lessons and Damian would show him what he'd learned. It actually made learning new things easier because Damian had to figure out how exactly something worked in order to show Danny how to do it. Not only that, but when they practiced the moves on each other, Danny would change them and make it harder to beat him. Damian did win every time, but Danny wasn't half bad.

Matt Barnard: Reimagining and Redefining Cleaner Futures with Indoor Vertical Farming Solutions
Have you ever come across fruits and vegetables that look so delicious and you purchase them, but end up realizing that the looks were far from the taste and quality? Well, you’re not alone. Adulterated, genetically modified, pesticide foods that are grown in dirty and unclean soil and environments tend to lose their taste and quality. They are then injected with chemicals to increase their physical appearances to fool customers into making the purchase. Unclean food or food that is grown in dirty and unhygienic environments can be quite detrimental to the health of its consumers. Therefore a safer approach is sustainable food production and consumption, and organic farming which is healthier, preserves the environment, reduces pollution, is free from adulterants and pesticides, and reduces excess water usage.
Clean food solutions that are followed consistently aid in improving overall health, preserving and conserving the ecosystem and biodiversity, reducing the use of excess water, reducing the endangerment and extinction of species, efficiently improving the use of natural and renewable resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing adverse climatic changes and global warming. The practices in sustainable agriculture by our farmers, agronomists, scientists, and start-up businesses play an enormous role in fostering and establishing urban farming innovations. One such example is Indoor Vertical Farming.
Indoor Vertical Farming Solutions are farming solutions that grow and cultivate crops and diverse food products in a specifically interior-controlled microclimate space that is vertically stacked one upon the other. Wherein this practice is also referred to as – CEA (Controlled-Environment Agriculture), these solutions are a modern and sustainable way of growing and cultivating food ingredients and products alongside advanced technological tools and resources. This reduces the extent of environmental pollution and damage and improves the quality and yield of the crops grown and harvested. Through indoor vertical farming, the food crops are grown in spaces with controllable settings and features such as temperature, lighting, water, and more, in an optimized, clean, and safe environment.
Therefore in this article, we will be covering the entrepreneurial and inspiring idea and passion for sustainably growing and living by co-founder Matt Barnard’s Indoor Vertical Farming company – Plenty, which is on a mission to – “bring the freshest, cleanest, most crave-able produce to people everywhere”.
For more interesting insights, visit The Business Magnate.
Matt Barnard – Co-Founder and CEO:
The Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Plenty is Matt Barnard. With a driving passion to work towards building and connecting with the world through innovative, creative, and agricultural sustainability initiatives, Matt aimed to – “bring healthy food to the world while protecting the environment”. The co-founder has a formal education of a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Northwestern University and a Master of Science Degree in Management at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Matt started his career back in 1995 and has since then worked in many diverse roles and positions that have gained his skill, experience, knowledge, and awareness about the people and the world.
As Nate Story – Co-founder and Chief Science Officer at Plenty says – “I felt that technology could help feed a lot of people, extend lives, fight environmental destabilization, and give the land back to the natural landscape”.
“Plenty believes that food justice is social justice.” – Plenty.
Matt Barnard, Nate Story, and two other co-founders got together with the same passion to drive change, transform, reimagine, and redefine cleaner and safer futures, that integrate technology and science by a highly qualified team of growers, engineers, artists, foodies, plant scientists, and agronomists. This is how their Indoor Vertical Farming solutions company came to life.
PLENTY:
Co-founders – Matt Barnard, Nate Story, Jack Oslan, and Nate Mazonson, together founded – Plenty, a food and beverage company on a mission to feed the world in a sustainable way and approach. The company encourages its workforce and team to inculcate core values of – Finding a Way, Being Down to Earth, and Growing Together. Although founded in the year 2013, Plenty was launched in the year 2014 in the South of San Francisco, USA, establishing and implementing the future of agriculture.
At Plenty, we’re reimagining what a farm can be.”
Plenty is a company that grows and harvests its food products indoors in vertical farming agriculture, cultivation, and sustainable strategies. Matt Barnard – the CEO of Plenty, built the company alongside his co-founding partners with the vision to grow and deliver pesticide-free, GMO-free, organic, fresh, hand-picked food ingredients that provide all the nutrients and minerals that an individual may need from that particular food product. The use of advanced technological tools and resources cut down the physical need for a labor workforce, enhancing and speeding up operations seamlessly. Crispy Lettuce, Baby Kale, Baby Arugula, and Spring Mix are the current ingredients in business. In this year 2024, Plenty is soon to release its fresh and farm-growing Strawberries year-round in Virginia, USA, and is working towards adding more food ingredients to its list.
The vision and mission behind Plenty’s indoor vertical farming was to address the challenges brought about by a series of events that have been taking place all over the world. Overpopulation gives rise to a rapid decrease in the availability of cultivable land space, decreasing the quantity and quality of the food grown. This threatens the availability of food for the people and therefore Plenty acts as a solution and a place where people can trust that the food that they consume comes from, is safe, consistent, and healthy. Less land area used, reduced water usage, and healthy food grown are the number one priority to happy smiles and healthy lives.

Lip fillers lakewood ranch fl
Products for Repairing Lips
Lip Flip's remarkable rise to prominence can be mostly attributed to its innovative technology. This procedure works for a wide variety of lip tints and involves little pain or downtime.
Advantages of Lip Fillers
A common step in lip augmentation and other cosmetic operations that enhance the lips is injecting filler into the lips.
The thought of having bigger lips doesn't appeal to everyone. Liposuction is a common technique used by cosmetic surgeons to help their patients look younger.
As we age, a flattening and enlarged philtrum makes our already small lips appear much narrower. Lip twisting in relation to the septum is frequent and may lead to issues. Your jaw has become larger, which is another change you may have observed Lip fillers lakewood ranch fl Dermal fillers can enhance the size and definition of your pout. There are a lot of "gummy" smiles in the video.
According to some research, smiling may help reduce some of the pain after liposuction. Since this is your final project, give it everything you've got.
Dermal lip fillers can be used to rapidly and effectively hide laugh lines and other types of laugh lines. I might be able to soothe you using more tactful methods. Time and gravity will always be there, regardless of how many times you get lip fillers.
Hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring molecule in your body, is the active component of dermal fillers. One quality that sets hyaluronic acid apart from other fillers is its ability to both expand and form. A bright smile and dermal lip filler can make you appear years younger.
You may decide to look into alternative options if you have tried less invasive injectable procedures at LifeStream Aesthetics Center, such as acupuncture, spinal manipulation, oral medication, and chiropractic adjustments, but none of them worked for you. If you're looking for a delicate lip color that nevertheless makes a statement, consider these selections.
There was not a single other Galderma instructor in the nation that shared his level of admiration for the chief of clinical operations. He is happy to discuss his experiences at LifeStream and other US clinics with his coworkers if they are interested. Many people decide to improve their lips with injectables. Our medical staff is available to you around-the-clock to answer any questions you may have regarding the injection treatment. There is no need for an appointment to schedule a meeting. You need look no further than LifeStream Aesthetics Center if you want to increase your self-confidence.

genshin ward
“modern hospital!au with the genshin characters as your patients and coworkers”
gender neutral reader
warning : mentions of blood, needles and death
feel free to send in your own thoughts and hcs!!
albedo definitely works as either a diagnostician or the in-hospital pharmacy technician. either way, i can see albedo giving advice on treatment and prescription that might help relieve a patient’s condition. works more for the children’s ward. you greet him with coffee every time you know he’s on shift, knowing that he probably hasn’t slept in a while. you cant convince me that he doesn’t experiment with the defective or expired meds. he shows you his own recent discoveries on certain combinations and you tell him to go to a proper research facility. you often wonder how such a genius ended up as only a pharmacist rather than a chemical engineer.
i think diluc would work as an adult nurse solely because of the fact that he’s patient, kind and the elderly aren’t scared of him unlike the children- though he doesn’t look like it, he enjoys listening to their stories and past. he’s the person you usually chat with during your breaks. you’re often seen re-doing his ponytail or just styling his hair at the break room. normally is the one who does the heavy lifting at his ward.
klee was sent to the hospital for cardiomyopathy, a disease where the heart muscles have been stretched or thickened, making it extremely hard for blood to pump through the body. though it’s very rare for children, klee was just unlucky. because of her rather rambunctious behaviour, you’ve put her on a strict rule of no extreme movement around the hospital and can only walk around with the supervision of a nurse. it makes you happier knowing she’s taken a liking towards albedo. you often see her colouring a book near where albedo can keep watch of her. if albedo isn’t on shift then she mostly clings onto you when she can. she claims that the other doctors are not as kind or forgiving as you are. because of her comment, you start to debate the employment of some of your fellow staff.
venti is a frequent visitor to your hospital. you see him perform some songs at the nursery, soothing and entertaining all the kids and babies. when he’s not performing for the children, he’s visiting his twin brother (nameless bard, not canon) in a private room, away from all the chaos and noise of the hospital. his brother has been in a coma for almost four years now. a car crash. you can tell that the anniversary of the accident is near when you can hear slow and melancholic music from the corridor leading to his room. you sometimes offer him a drink that he favours the day of the anniversary. in exchange, he would tell you his favourite childhood memories of him and his twin.
kazuha is for sure a children’s nurse. the children see him as a person they can really talk to without feeling intimidated or scolded for what they say. he’s so gentle and calm when giving the kids their injections, even going out of his way to hold them close if they’re really scared. gives them lollipops since they’ve been so brave! during playtime and he’s in charge of the activities for that day, he teaches the kids how to make haikus and expanding their vocabulary. at the end of the day the children give kazuha their haikus. he puts them into an album and cherishes them. when the two of you are on lunch break, he excitedly shows you all the new haikus he got from the kids. you laugh at his over excitement, you’re glad he’s finally settled into the hospital. you think back to the treatment he recieved at his former hospital but you shoved those thoughts aside and nodded along to the stars in his eyes.
bennett would also be a frequent visitor of the hospital, always covered with scratches, gashes and bruises everywhere. you nag at him to be careful next time, though, you know he’ll be rushing in in a few days, but you don’t say that. poor boy is the unluckiest person you’ve met. once, when he walks into the ER casually, you asked him what happened this time and he says that he was in the forest exploring, tripped down a hill and splashed into a river. you’re glad it isn’t as bad this time.
just because he’s a family man, i think that childe would also be a child nurse heh. he can easily give the children the same energy back at them without much effort, but he knows when to put his foot down once things get out of hand. because he builds such a close relationship with the kids, he’s absolutely devastated when he learns a child doesn’t survive a surgery. he thinks of his own younger siblings and it breaks his heart even more. you can find him in the laundry room, where it’s quiet and only the whirs of the washing machine can cover up his chocked sobs. you allow him to have some days off because you know that if you don’t, he’d be more snappy and impatient with the children. you tell him that he becomes like this because it’s a coping mechanism he’s developed after experiencing such an intense feeling of grief. his mind wants to cut all relationships he’s built with the children so he doesn’t have to experience such a thing again. he denies it but you know he’s saying this in attempts to convince himself that he’s okay. he’s not. you tell him that death is not something anyone gets used to but instead become stronger against, after all, it’s part of his job and if he ever wants to change professions you’re happy to recommend him to other wards.
my knowledge in health care and medicine is limited so sorry for any inaccuracies.

*peaks over counter* could I possibly have....some Luke whump with Din being protective? *Ducks back under counter*
@ameliajessicawilliamspond
Hi!! Sorry for the delay... I hope this fill meets your expectations!! It's so fun to write Luke whump, tbh. Poor bby. I went a little nuts with it, like always...
-------
When they finally found themselves cornered, Grogu cowering in Din’s arms and Din weaponless, ready to defend the child to the death-- it wasn’t much of a choice for Luke to step forward and surrender himself, and let them take him. They descended on him like the birds on Tatooine that would wait for a creature to be close to death, and then swoop down for the kill. The troopers dragged him forward, away from Din and Grogu, and the last thing he saw before they hit him with a stunner was the look on Grogu’s face. The last thing he felt was Din’s fury and fear, roaring from him through the force like wildfire, before it cut off abruptly along with the rest of Luke’s awareness.
He had no way of knowing whether what they were doing to him was what they would have done to Grogu, or if they were devising new and even more cruel methods just for him. He found it didn’t matter much. If what they had planned for Grogu was even a sliver of what they did to him, it was worth it. Even if they hadn’t been planning to hurt or experiment on the child at all— and he doubted that— but even if they hadn’t, just keeping Grogu from feeling alone and scared, the way he had way back when Moff Gideon had kidnapped him and held him on that huge star destroyer, it was worth it. It was all worth Luke’s sacrifice.
The cruel med droids, stripped of all personality and wielding scalpels and hypos full of unknown substances; the cold-eyed officers and scientists who wouldn’t come near unless Luke was trussed up, force suppression cuffs on his wrists and a double dose of suppressant drugs burning in his veins; the troopers who stood, silent and unmoving, at the door to his cell, two inside and two out, watching him, never giving him a moment alone, even when he screamed and retched and shook… All of it was worth keeping Grogu safe. Keeping Din safe. Their family, their small clan, it was what mattered. Nothing else.
In the dark of the night, when he lay on the cold durasteel bench of his cell under the eyes of two stormtroopers, blasters held across their chests in warning, Luke felt that perhaps this was penance as well as sacrifice. He stared at the troopers, the white of their armor gleaming dully in the dim lights overhead, and considered just how many of their brethren he had murdered. There were those who had been aboard the Death Star, of course — by far his worst, most heinous act — but there were also those who had fallen by his blade, or his blaster, or by Rebel plots he helped to fabricate. He reached out, in the small gaps of time when the suppressants started to wear off and circumnavigating the cuffs was bearable, and felt the troopers’ small threads of light brush against his mind, considering just how many other threads he had snipped. Surely enough to weave hundreds of miles of fabric, within the Force. So many beings— and in the Force, it did not matter their affiliation or creed, they lived just the same— whose lives he had cut short.
The officers who presided over the scientists’ experiments definitely knew who Luke was. They watched with stiff shoulders, with hands fisted in rage... but they hesitated, and they didn’t look him in the eye. Din had told Luke about Gideon, how he had tried to kill himself when he realized Luke was there on his star destroyer, and he supposed these officers viewed him in much the same way. A power both feared and respected, something strange and monstrous, a dark cloaked figure that flitted through Imperial nightmares. A truly fitting form for Darth Vader’s son.
Time passed in hazy, half-acknowledged spurts. The artificial light of the cruiser’s cell block never shut off, and the trooper’s schedules seemed to be random; he watched them with as much awareness as he could muster, but never seemed to be able to latch on to a system that would tell him how long each day was. Even their experiments and interrogation seemed to be done at random intervals. Sometimes he would go what felt like days with only the two troopers for company, and at others he was shaken awake in the middle of sleep and dragged off hours after their last session.
It was during one of these sessions-- woozy from drugs, from lack of sleep and food, from the constant blank nothingness the cuffs forced on him-- that something changed. Luke was strapped to a table, doing his best to ignore the scientist speaking into a voice recorder by his side, not thinking about what they were planning, when the room shook violently around them, his stomach rolling with the movement.
The officer standing at Luke’s head looked up, frowning. “What…?”
He was cut off by another shudder and a distant boom that reverberated down the cold steel hallways outside their room. The officer’s eyes, from what Luke could see, were wide-- he was worried.
“Keep going,” he snapped at the scientist, and stalked out of Luke’s view. He heard the door whoosh open and closed again, and they were alone.
Luke had long since stopped trying to fight the straps that held him down, but now he couldn’t help but thrash against them and hope that somehow they were looser today than usual, somehow he could pull himself free…
“Stop that!” the scientist snapped, even as the room shook yet again and a tool rolled off his tray of instruments and clattered to the ground. He lacked the fear that the officer had shown; he was brutally efficient, continuing to measure out a hypo full of an unknown substance, holding it up to the light with calm, unconcerned eyes. He grasped Luke’s arm and injected the hypo as the sounds of explosions outside got closer, and the sound of booted feet running on durasteel echoed louder and louder down the hallway. He turned and looked Luke in the eye, as he had never done before, just as whatever he had injected started to burn.
“You killed so many, Skywalker.” He said, still calm and collected, but now with eyes that shone with fury, “It’s only fair, don’t you think, that we get to strike back?”
Fire was in his veins, under his skin, burning him from the inside out.
Luke screamed.
______
The scream that echoed down the hall froze Din in his tracks.
He felt, rather than heard, Leia stumble to a stop behind him. He could hear only that scream-- unending, agonized, and horrifically familiar. It sent ice down his spine and through his heart, and he felt himself running again before he really realized it, sprinting flat out towards that voice, Leia on his heels.
He skidded a bit when the ship shook with another explosion-- Boba, Fennec, and Axe were having a bit too much fun with the explosives, but as long as Bo-Katan and Koska were still able to keep the ship flying, Din couldn’t find it in himself to care much. The door opened with a quick blaster shot to the keypad, and he and Leia ran in and stumbled to a stop as one. Horror welled up in his throat.
Luke was strapped down to a table, thick bands around his forehead, arms, and legs, and his hands were bound in front of him in what looked like force-suppression cuffs. He was screaming, thrashing against his bonds, eyes open and tracking some unseen terror. A man stood over him, arms crossed and an expression of sick satisfaction on his face as he watched Luke writhe. He turned to face Din and Leia with no sign of fear.
Leia raised her blaster and stepped forward, face twisted in a snarl. “What have you done to him?”
The man-- a scientist, judging by his clothing and the room, which held instruments and tools that turned Din’s stomach to contemplate-- looked at Leia with cool, calm eyes.
“Only what he deserved.” Behind him, Luke gasped something that may have been a “No!”
Din snarled and before Leia could react, lunged towards the man and punched him full in the face. He howled, hands flying to his nose, and Din hit him again, and again, until he sagged in his grip, unconscious, and Din dropped him to the floor. He stepped over him and reached out to cup Luke’s face in his hands, watching him breathe through clenched teeth, whines and moans of pain slipping through. He didn’t seem to see Din, but he seemed to register something; he turned his face towards where Din stood, even as his eyes rolled in their sockets.
“He shot him with something-- it’s probably causing him pain,” Leia said, holding up a spent hypo-syringe, face grim. “I’ll see if I can find what this was; maybe we can figure out how to help it.”
She turned towards a cabinet along the wall that held all sorts of horrible things, chemicals and liquids that seemed distinctly menacing. Din looked down at the cuffs around Luke’s wrists. It was so wrong, seeing him cuffed and bound like this, and he couldn’t stand it. He pulled the Darksaber from his belt and thumbed the activator.
Leia whirled at the sound of the blade extending, and barked “Wait!” just a second too late-- the Darksaber cut the connection between the cuffs, and a wave of energy exploded outward. Din dropped.
There was a presence all around him… slimy, oily, uncomfortable darkness, brushing up against him, making him shudder even as he walked calmly next to a hulk of a man in black armor…. Rage filled his thoughts as he struck out with his blade, struck the figure that taunted him, that threatened his sister…. His blade sliced through his father’s wrist, a mirror of his own maiming…. He tossed his saber aside, facing the Emperor, watching rage twist that horrible white mask of a face…. And then, pain, everywhere, he couldn’t breathe, couldn’t do anything but writhe underneath it, couldn’t get away…. And his father looked on, watched as he died….
Din gasped as he was wrenched out of the vision, sitting up from where he had fallen onto the floor, staring up at Leia, who was slumped slightly over Luke, hands on his wrists. When Din pulled himself to standing, he saw that she had managed to get another pair of cuffs around them. She seemed to sense his disapproval, and shook her head, eyes never leaving Luke’s face.
“He’s too out of it to shield, right now, and he’s too powerful to have the cuffs off while he’s unaware. I’m guessing you saw what I saw?”
Din nodded slowly, and she sighed, reaching out to brush trembling fingers across Luke’s cheek, doing nothing to smooth out the agonized expression he still wore.
“He’s told you about our… our father? About the Emperor?”
“That--” Din’s voice cracked, and he tried again. “That was a memory.”
“I believe so. I wasn’t there-- I was leading the fight on Endor with Han and Chewie. But he told me afterwards. And I would know Palpatine’s face anywhere.” She closed her eyes for a moment, then looked back up, steel in the set of her jaw. “Let’s get him out of here.”
They made quick works of the straps, and it was worryingly easy to lift Luke into his arms. He still struggled against whatever he saw and whatever he felt, but Din held him fast to his chest as they hurried back down the shining steel hallway and towards where they had entered. He could hear the sounds of blaster fire as they got closer, and Leia moved to block the two of them, blaster in hand. Din shifted Luke in his arms, tucking him a little closer so that he could reach his vambrace, and primed his whistling birds. He sent a quick, silent prayer of thanks to the Manda that he had found the Armorer again as he felt them rise and click into place.
They hurtled around the corner, Leia already firing at a stormtrooper who was grappling with Boba, and he whirled around as the trooper dropped. Din’s whistling birds flew, and five other troopers around the room-- one about to slam Axe into the ground, another huddled around a corner taking shots at Fennec-- fell with howls of pain.
“Djarin! Princess! You found him?”
Boba seemed to notice Luke writhing in Din’s arms as he said it, and he cursed even as he ducked a shot from another trooper. “Get him to the ship! We’re nearly done here. I’ll comm Kryze, we’ll meet you there.”
He clapped Din on the shoulder as he passed, and Din nodded his thanks, hurrying after Leia.
The Falcon was waiting for them, and Din quickly laid Luke on one of the tiny bunks, stuffing a blanket along the edge of the wall so that Luke, if he thrashed too much, wouldn’t hurt himself.
Leia slid down the wall opposite, coming to rest with her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands.
“I’m never letting him out of my sight again,” she groused, looking up at Din through her hands, flinching when Luke groaned again. Her eyes were so weary, it hurt Din to look at them. He looked down at Luke from where he sat at the edge of the bed, and brushed a strand of hair out of his eyes, watching him flinch and gasp.
“I… he told me about the Emperor, and what happened on the second Death Star. But I never guessed it was that bad... “ Leia trailed off. They sat together for a few long minutes, the only thing filling the silence of the ship the sound of Luke’s pain. He seemed to be tiring-- he hadn’t screamed for a while now, and his thrashing had quieted some. Din prayed that it was just the drugs wearing off, and not exhaustion forcing him under.
“I’m going to go get ready to take off as soon as the rest of them are back,” Leia said, rising to her feet and brushing soft fingers across Luke’s cheek once more. Din felt himself slumping a little as she left, closing the door behind her, and he reached up and released the seals on his helmet.
“You’ll be okay,” he whispered to Luke. He gathered Luke into his arms and kissed his forehead, ready to wait out the rest of this nightmare along with him.

Micah(green) and Theo(blue) were jealous of their model friend Chad. All three had been inseparable since the 2nd grade but when they got to high school Chad had become much more of an Athlete while Micah and Theo had excelled at math and chemistry. Now that they were all attending the same Uni Chads popularity had increased while Micah and Theo had been pushed into the background.
That was all gonna change though. Micah along with Theo had been doing research into human development to try and achieve the same status as Chad. The trouble was that mass and energy had to come from somewhere a chemical reaction wasn't going to cause instant growth. The solution came to Theo, they just had to find a subject to siphon.

Say hello to Pete, a down on his luck bodybuilder who's former partner has run away with all his money. Micah and Theo brought Pete to their lab where they told him that they were trying to measure masculinity. They instructed Pete undress and lay on the middle of three medical beds while they set up the experiment. Pete followed the 2 cute researchers and climbed onto the bed while they attached electrodes to his head and upper body. Theo then administered a sedative and knocked Pete out.
Micah took out a syringe filled with milky fluid and jabbed it into Pete's neck. They began to undress and attach themselves to Pete as his body started to vibrate at an unnatural frequency. They laid on the other 2 beds and each injected themselves with pink receiving serum. Each took one of Pete's hand as the experiment began, as soon as contact was made Pete's body began to liquefy and turn a milky white color. Pete began to loose definition and form into a ball with both Micah and Theo's hands still gripping the slick surface. The ball of Pete began to split and flow up each of the young men's arms. It began to invade and integrate itself into their bodies. The pain of having your cells split apart as a foriegn substance rewrote the DNA caused them both to black out.
Micah was the first to awake he opened his eyes and began to survey his new body. Gone was the skinny nerd. Now he was a Man he started to flex his new muscles and marveled at the easy strength he now possessed. Micah then looked over at Theo's bed where a tall Adonis had replaced the short math geek. Both Micah and Theo rose out of bed and began to test out their new bodies but something was off. Not only did they take Pete's body but his personality had also integrated into them. They were no longer Micah and Theo best buds, but now they are Mike and Thom literally lovers that were made for each other. Maybe they can find some more hot gay guys to merge with and bring Chad in as well.

Pain. A throbbing, harsh pain echoed through my head from the temple. The throbbing beat opposite that of my heart. The second thing I noticed was how cold and damp it was. After battling with my body to force open my eyes I squint through the dimly lit room. A deep voice spoke in another language… German it was German but my head hurt too much for me to understand it. Seconds passed before I realized that I was sitting on the ground in a cell. The door opened and two men walked in flanked by four additional soldiers than the one that had been watching me.
“Ah Fräulein (L/n) glad you have finally woken up.” Miss.
“Who are you?” I cursed how weak my voice sounded at that moment. Though the man didn’t seem to find me a threat of escape as he spoke. “Johann Schmidt. You see we have a common acquaintance… or, well, had.” The grin he wore made my stomach drop and he didn’t need to verbally admit it for me to realize this is the man behind Abraham’s death.
I raised my head in defiance and although it made the pounding in my head worsen I pushed myself from the ground and stood within the cell. “You’re after the serum.”
“Ah, clever girl. You were Abraham’s assistant when he made the serum.” The second, much shorter man spoke. “Fault in your plans. I don’t know how to make the serum.” Schmidt smiled at me and it took all my self control not to shiver from his intense look. “I was hoping you would say that,” His eyes turned off me to the soldiers. “Bring sie zum Stuhl. Probiere es an ihr aus. Vielleicht wird ein kleiner Elektroschock Ihr Gedächtnis auffrischen.” Take her to the chair. Try it out on her. Perhaps a bit of electroshock will refresh your memory. As Schmidt talked his head also turned towards the shorter man.
I could feel the blood drain from my face as I moved back against the wall. Three soldiers stepped towards the cell. One man opened the cell door before the other two stepped inside to detain me. I managed to elbow one in the face in my struggle but it was useless. The two soldiers dragged me from the cell, out of the room into a brighter lit hall. We were in some kind of warehouse. My eyes zeroed in on a chair that looked right out of a nightmare. Stronger hands forced me into the hard chair and held me down while I was struggling against someone’s attempts to strap me in. My struggling did nothing but get me a slap to the face. The strength of the slap disoriented me long enough for them to strap me in.
The shorter man who followed us now stood next to my head. I could see the reflection of myself in his glasses. “This is only going to hurt a lot, try to hold still.” He instructs lowering two plates down around my face. It was only a few short moments before the electricity forced its way into my head. I had no control over my body as it thrashed in the confines of the chair. An agonizing scream of pain carrying throughout the building went ignored.
That wasn’t my first time in the chair but it was the only time I had passed out in the chair. Spent 30 minutes in the chair 3 times a day, sometimes longer. After a week I had to start muttering things to myself in my cell so I didn’t forget who I was. The Nazi soldiers gave me the bare minimum to survive as far as water and nutrients goes. I cracked halfway through October. I gave the short scientist, Armin Zola, the list of what I would need before I was taken back to my cell after yet another time in the cell. I was given parchment and a pencil to write things down with but it kept coming in flashes.
Nights were the worst. Mouth dry from lack of water, eyes trained on an iron grate in the ceiling. I realized two weeks into my daily chair visits that I had forgotten my brother’s name. When I noticed it caused me to cry to sleep that night. So whenever I could I would mutter to myself facts I could remember starting with my name, rank, and where I was from. The list of facts got shorter every day. Somedays I remembered more than others. There were times all I could bring myself to do was hum Amazing Grace to myself to deal with the pain.
The first time I was in the lab I tried to escape. I was left with just one guard and I thought I could take him. I smashed a beaker using a shard like a knife. I ended up knocked unconscious, my hand bleeding from the self inflicted cuts caused by the makeshift weapon. From then on I was chained to the lab table and three soldiers kept watch. I wasn’t given anything to test the serum on. So I never tested unless I thought it would work because I used myself as a test subject.
I was unconscious for two days once from a failed serum. Others cause excruciating pain. Days came and went and I lost count of days but I knew it was still October. Yet a month was close to passing as November began to be discussed amongst soldiers around me. Pressure was placed on me to recreate the serum. Each day if I didn’t recreate the serum I was sent to the chair for the torturous electroshock. That is how I figured out I had been successful in a recreation. The serum, when tested, did nothing but make me drop to the lab floor in pain. I wasn’t even given time to recollect myself before being dragged off to the chair. I lasted longer in the chair than usual. I heard the instruction to increase the power. I don’t remember what happened after that.
It took me nearly half a day to recover, then as soon as I had I was back working in the lab. Suddenly I was pulled away from my work and escorted quickly back to my cell. “Neue Soldaten wurden gefangen genommen.” New soldiers have been captured. I pressed myself up against the bars for a chance, a glimpse at the soldiers being brought in.
It was silent as the Nazi Hydra soldiers dealt with the new poisoners. Suddenly two soldiers appeared with smiles on their faces. “Komm Mädchen. Zola und Schmidt wollen dich sehen.” Come girl. Zola and Schmidt want to see you. The soldiers yanked me up and practically dragged me to the room where the chair was. My body trembled involuntarily at the sight of the chair. It wasn’t me going in the chair, given someone was strapped in but given the uniform he was American. “Ah, here iz our lovely nurse. You’ve been asking for a test subject. Here you go.” Schmidt waved at the man strapped into the chair. The man lifted his head just barely and my heart went out to him. As soon as the hands left my arms I moved to the soldier in the chair. “What’s your name, soldier?”
“S’rg’nt Jam’s Barn’s,” His voice wasn’t clear but it was clear enough for me to understand what he said. The nurse turned to Zola and Schmidt. “I wasn’t done recreating the serum when you had me pulled from the lab. I will need time to work and he needs time to rest or the serum will kill him.” I tried to give him whatever comfort I could in those brief moments before we were pulled apart. His head rose just slightly and I caught a glimpse of stormy blue eyes as he was dragged out of the room.
I never got to return to my cell that night. As my eyes zoned in on the blue chemical mixture in front of me I felt a haze cloud my mind, it wasn’t abnormal to experience but I also felt like I was losing myself when it happened. Following my own written instructions I was able to continue my work. The only other thing I forced my mind to remember were two things.
I am First Lieutenant (Y/n) (L/n) of the US Army Nurse Corps. Soldier boy is Sergeant James Barnes.
The words became a mantra in the blank canvas my mind was currently in as I blindly worked by instructions of my very own that I don’t even remember writing. My body moved on auto pilot as I was taken to a crude looking examination room. In the center was soldier boy Sergeant James Barnes strapped to the table. As my mind raced to catch up with me, flashes of memories clouded my mind from when Steve Rogers got the serum, the explosion that followed, Dr. Erskine being shot. My body tensed at a passing memory of being in the chair passed through being replaced by the pain I felt giving myself the serum.
A hand pressed firmly in between my shoulder blades pushing me forward. I stumbled to the table catching myself with a hand on his arm. Wasn’t he wearing an army jacket before? My eyes landed on the serum filled syringe in my hands reminding me of what I was about to do. “First lieutenant (Y/n) (F/n) of the US Army Nurse Corps.. You are Sergeant James Barnes.. I’m sorry for what I am about to do. You’ll be okay. I’ve used it on myself. It will hurt.” My voice sounded so… robotic and monotone as I spoke to him. My hands pushing up his sleeve.
My hands worked from memory and out of second nature my mouth moved and the hymn fell from my lips. The melody of the song was the only comfort I could offer as I injected the poor man with the serum that would change his life forever. His eyes looked up at mine until the pain of the serum changing his body caused them to shut tightly. The leather restraints holding him in began to rip as he pulled against them. Discarding the empty syringe I tried to soothe him more but the second my hand touched his head I was shot with a sedative.

Steve Rogers has dressed up performing on stage like a dancing monkey to sell war bonds since he was given the serum. His first time on foreign grounds and he was performing for soldiers he should have been fighting alongside of. All to be booed off the stage by disgruntled men who just wanted to see a pretty dame.
Steve finally looked away from the rain but not quite at Peggy, “At least he’s got me doing this. Phillips would have had me stuck in a lab.” Blue eyes finally met the face of Agent Carter. “And these are your only two options? A lab rat or a dancing monkey? You were meant for more than this, you know.” Her wording might have been a bit rude but the point got across. There was a moment of silence between the two but Steve had this look to him. “What?” Peggy inquired.
The man was drawing in the rain when a familiar face popped up. “Hello, Steve.” Peggy Carter approached him from behind, making him turn from his drawing to greet her, “Hi.” She mimed his ‘hi’ back before laying her jacket down to sit on while Steve asked, “What are you doing here?” Peggy looked at Rogers and let out a small sigh, “Officially, I’m not here at all. That was quite a performance.”
Rogers looked away disappointed that she had caught the horrible show that happened earlier. “Yeah. I uh, I had to improvise a little bit. The crowds I’m used to are usually more, uh, twelve.” Steve explained looking out at the drenched ground and falling rain. “I understand you’re ‘America’s New Hope’.” Peggy states watching him. “Bond sales take a 10% bump in every state I visit.” Steve comments like a robot. “Is that Senator Brandt I hear?”
“You know for the longest time, I dreamed about coming overseas and being on the front lines, serving my country. I finally got everything I wanted and I’m wearing tights.” Steve kept looking down at his journal then squinting out through the rain. A horn alarmed behind them as a medical vehicle slid to a stop in the mud. Medics ran from the infirmary tent to help unloaded soldiers on gurneys. “They look like they’ve been through hell.” Peggy turned back towards Rogers. “These men more than most.” Steve looked up at Peggy knowing she had more details. “Schmidt sent out a force to Azzano. Two hundred men were there to back up an already injured fleet, they went up against him and less than 75 returned. Your audience contained what was left of the 107th and 34th.” Steve slowly turned his head feeling bad for the men who were lost but his attention snapped to Peggy at the mention of the divisions involved as she finished, “The rest were killed or captured.”
“The 107th?” The confirmation had him darting out into the rain, Peggy following holding her jacket over her head for coverage from the rain. The two ran all the way to the tent Colonel Phillips was sitting in signing condolence letters. “Colonel Phillips.” Steve called for the man’s attention as he approached. “Well, if it isn’t the Star-Spangled Man With A Plan. What is your plan today?” The colonel responded looking up at the pair now standing in front of him. “I need the casualty list from Azzano.” The tone he used was definitely fitting for the role he plays on stage. Phillips however did not appreciate it. “You don’t get to give me orders, son.”
“I just need one name, Sergeant James Barnes from the 107th.” Rogers responded un phased. Phillips pointed his pen at Peggy, “You and I are gonna have a conversation later that you won’t enjoy.” Steve was insistent though and again requested the information he wanted, “Please tell me if he’s alive, sir. B-A-R..” “I can spell.” Phillips cut him off before muttering, “First Stark and now this.” He stood from the table and paged through the letters he just finished signing. “I have signed more of these condolence letters today that I would care to count. But the name does sound familiar. I’m sorry. To the both of you.” Phillips looks from Rogers to Peggy and the woman knew he was referring to her friend from the 34th.”
“What about the others? Are you planning a rescue mission?” Rogers was something else, optimistic maybe. “Yeah, it’s called winning the war.” The look of disbelief that Steve sent the colonel as he spoke might have been the first red flag for Peggy Carter. “But if you know where they are, why not at least..” Phillips once again cut the man off, “They’re 30 miles behind the lines through some of the most heavily fortified territory in Europe.” Phillips was eyeing the spot on the map as he talked about it, even pointing the place out directly. “We’d lose more men than we’d save. But I don’t expect you to understand that because you’re a chorus girl.”
The colonels' dig at Roger’s lack of status didn’t seem to phase the man but it did fuel the plan he was formulating in his head while staring at the map, memorizing it. “I think I understand just fine.”
“Well, then understand it somewhere else. If I read the posters correctly, you got someplace to be in 30 minutes.” The colonel walked past him giving Rogers a very clear view of the map marking out exactly where he needed to go, and where he was. “Yes, sir. I do.” Perhaps the time staring at the map was the second red flag that Peggy noticed. As her eyes flickered between him and the map as he left the tent it all clicked into place and she hurried after the taller man.
“What do you plan to do, walk to Austria?” Peg asked as she entered the tent used as the changing room. “If that’s what it takes.” Steve answered not looking up from where he was struggling with boots. “You heard the Colonel. Your friend, and mine, are most likely dead.”
“You don’t know that.” Steve disagreed as he continued to get ready. “Even so, he’s devising a strategy. If he detects..” Steve cut her off as he put on a brown leather jacket, “By the time he’s done that, it could be too late.” He snatched up his bag and shield and headed for the exit. “Steve!” Peggy called following him to the vehicle he tossed his things into. The rain had stopped leaving the sun to rapidly evaporate the water leaving puffs of smoke in the air. Steve looked at the brunette in front of him. “You told me you thought I was meant for more than this. Did you mean that?”
“Every word.”
“Then you got to let me go.” Steve turned to get into the jeep and started the engine before Peggy was at the side. “I can do more than that.” She told him.

Peggy hadn’t lied. She got them a method of transport much faster than the jeep. Howard Stark sat in the pilot seat flying a plane with the slight chance his fiancée may still be alive. Stark was devastated when he first found out that the 34th was attacked and that only doubled when the attack at Azzano took out the 107th as well.
“The Hydra camp is in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges.” Peggy infomed Rogers as she pointed to the map she was holding. “It’s a factory of some kind.” She gave him as much information as she could. “We should be able to drop you right on the doorstep.” Howard called over his shoulder.
“Just get me as close as you can.” Steve called back up to the pilot. He looked back over at the woman in front of him. “You know.. You two are gonna be in a lot of trouble when you land.” He was worried about her getting into trouble for him but she looked at him just as worried. “And you won’t?” Steve dismissed her worries, turning his head. “Where I’m going, if anyone yells at me, I can just shoot them.” There was a small click of a loaded gun.
“They will undoubtedly shoot back.” Peggy surmised. Steve turned to the shield he had been using on stage giving it a knock, “Well let's hope it’s good for something.” Steve turned back to her just as Howard called back, “Agent Carter? If we’re not in too much of a hurry, I thought we could stop off in Lucerne for a late-night fondue.” Howard was teasing the agent, the smile on his face hidden from those being him. Peggy shifted in her seat choosing to ignore him and keep conversation going with Rogers. “Stark is the best civilian pilot I’ve ever seen. He’s mad enough to brave this airspace. We’re lucky to have him.”
Steve however was still not fully over the comment Stark made. “So, are you two… do you…” There was an awkward pause as Steve thought of the proper way to ask if they were seeing each other by reusing Stark’s words, “..Fondue?” Stark tried not to laugh from the pilot’s seat as Peggy simply shook her head and handed him a device. “This is your transponder. Activate it when you’re ready and the signal will lead us straight to you.” Steve took a moment to look at the device now in his hand before calling up to Howard, “Are you sure this thing works?”
“It’s been tested more than you, pal.” Howard defended seconds before gunfire hit the side of the plane. The plane shook as bullets pelted the sides, shaking the aircraft from the force. Steve stood grabbing his shield and heading towards the door. That he opened. “Get back here! We’re taking you all the way in!” Peggy ordered yelling over the wind rushing into the plane. “As soon as I’m clear, you turn this thing around and get the hell out of here!” Steve ordered back over the noise of the wind, gunfire, and the pinging of bullets on the plane.
“You can’t give me orders!” Peggy disagreed.
“The hell I can’t! I’m a Captain!” Steve looked over at her, giving her a smile that made her weak in the knees. He grabbed the goggles from his helmet, lowered them over his eyes and launched himself out of the plane. Peggy watched him fall towards the ground before the red fabric of his parachute was visible in the night sky from the flying bullets. Howard turned back as instructed by the Captain. Now all they could do was wait.
