everyone's always like "it's never too late to pursue your dream job!" and then fail to acknowledge that it absolutely can be too late. Doing the training doesn't help when no one will hire a 30+ year old with little or no paid work experience. No one wants to train a new hire, especially if they're over 20. It doesn't matter how passionate you are, you're basically fucked unless you get incredibly lucky and make a connection who basically gets the job for you.
