DISEMBOWELLED YOURE PRETTY FUCKING SCREWED#so anyways I’m stubbornly sticking with my ‘he was in a short gambeson and split hauberk’ stance bc BOROMIR SON OF DENETHOR STEWARD PRINCE#OF GONDOR would not ride into Dangers Unknown without protecting his heart/lungs/stomach/intestines/etc#and also bodkin arrowheads can separate maile and the orcs use similar enough arrows that a hauberk isn’t gonna do much at all#so it still all adds up. unfortunately
