ohhh i guess her blood is in fact slightly poisonous then. not enough to be mortal or anything ofc but enough to make you experience a few side effects like staggering or blurred vision or more severe ones like tachycardia based on how much blood you came in contact with. so a few drops are safe (maybe a bit recreational if you want to feel a little tingly and silly for the night) but if you try to drink it (looking at astarion rn) it's going to be one hell of a ride for the next few hours
violante fact of the day that no one asked for: her signature scent is a mixture of iris, heliotrope, juniper berries and belladonna which makes for a quite sophisticated earthy aroma with light notes of smth floral and smth sweet like almond. the belladonna is not easily recognizable in the mix since it's more subtle but it gives a dark edge to the scent, plus if you have an attentive eye it's easy to catch the signs of belladonna poisoning (dilated pupils, sensitivity to light, flushing just to name a few). as result of a nearly daily ingestion she did develop a moderate resistance to basic poisons, plus a kiss from violante feels quite bittersweet and pungent, especially if it's right after she drinks the perfume, and it's not exactly the most enjoyable unless you like the unusual taste. i guess she doesn't have to worry about bad breath problems at least
#rena.txt#astarion after the bite scene: WHY THE FUCK i'm starting to see the hatman now (<on severe case of delirium)#which is funny to think violante allowed him to do that. was she trying to give him a payback for sneaking up like that on her? was she#curious of what would happen to him after drinking her blood? a bit of one..a bit of the other i guess skfjskf#fuck around and find out..at someone's else cost

Played Class of 09 Flip Side last week...man, that sucked
I was honestly given high hopes for The Flip Side, and since my Class of 09 drawing that I made for Flip side is getting a lot of likes, I figured I'd make a post reviewing the game.
Pros:
The voice acting was incredible. Kayli Mills really gave her all in the therapy scenes, I actually felt heartbroken for her.
The FYE route was good up until the end...I'll talk about that in a bit.
The 7 seconds part was pretty funny.
Trody is still best boi
Emo Jecka
The Hatman
The Nicole Suicide route was one of the biggest requests for the Flip Side, and at least he listened to the fans on that. It was even more awfully crushing when seen from Jecka's perspective.
That's about all the good. Now the bad:
The foot stuff. That was like, a third of the game, and it was barely even funny the first time. If they were gonna do something like this, the least they could have done was not show the actual foot stuff taking place. In The Re-up, they didn't show Nicole having sex with men as a MySpace escort, and it honestly made the point even better (I'll talk more about this later). It's pretty obvious that SBN3 was just putting his fetish in to spite people.
The Dad was just tiring. I mean, his character was a good depiction of an abuser, but the joke honestly just got boring. It's like SBN3 saw how popular the "I WANNA FUCKING KILL MY WIFE" scene was, and decided to make that joke an entire character.
The jokes just felt off. The edginess was there, but it was all edge, no point. The "Flip a coin" scene was funny, as was the "7 seconds" scene and some others, but it kinda felt like SBN3 just got burnt out, or he fired his ghostwriter (I don't doubt that he wrote the game, but I'm pretty sure he had some help with some of the jokes).
The FYE Route had a bizarre-ass ending after all that good buildup.
Crispin did nothing but get insulted the whole game, even when he tried to help Jecka.
Mr. Katz became a pedophile because SBN3 didn't like the fact that Reddit liked him. He was one of the only male teachers who wasn't a pedophile, he was just a crackhead. But they had to massacre his character too.
The characters felt kinda...out of character. Nicole HATES men, like absolutely DESPISES them. She engages with men to manipulate them, and she only engaged in sexual acts with men when she was homeless, on drugs, and had literally no other options. She would never willingly try to have sex with a 50 year old man.
Also, she didn't get mad at Jecka for refusing to let her stay at her house when she was homeless, and she didn't get mad when Jecka refused to help her get revenge on Megan, or sell crack, or do some of the other stuff. But you're telling me she's gonna engage in sexual acts with her father because...Jecka didn't cut Nicole in on one of her jobs?! People may point to the Megan route in The Re-up, but Megan was a bitch to her for most of their interactions, whereas Jecka was Nicole's only real friend. Plus, she just asked Hunter for dick pics, she didn't actually try to have sex with him like she did with Jecka's dad.
To add on to this: The FYE Route had like, the weirdest and worst ending: Being sex trafficked by the Taliban. The other games were believable, even if the White Supremacist ending was kinda exaggerated. But holy crap, this made no sense.
Nicole gets kicked out by her mom and has to resort to selling her body? It's pretty fucked up, but it's really happened to people. Jecka finds out that FYE has a massive illegal porn stash they use to keep men in control, and gets sold to the Taliban as a sex slave to keep her quiet? It makes zero sense.
To add on to the last two things: The endings were not good. They were:
Jeffery OD's and Jecka becomes more toxic as a result of relying on Nicole
Nicole has "foot-sex" with Jecka's dad, and Jecka kills herself
Jecka drunk-drives and kills Ari
Nicole commits suicide, leaving Jecka all alone
Jecka gets sold to the Taliban, and Kelly fucking dies.
I mean seriously. Even the past two games had SOME good endings: Nicole becomes a YouTuber, Nicole becomes Valedictorian, Nicole graduates and becomes a better person, Nicole exposes a racist teacher...this game just felt like torture porn of Jecka.
I swear to God this anime better get picked up by Prime or Netflix or something like that, cuz I'll be damned if the series dies like this.
#sbn3 burned down the kitchen#don't support him#do not let him cook#class of 09#class of 09 the flop side#class of 09 the foot side#class of 09 the flip side#sbn3 more like sbnfeet

Date of the post: 09-01-2023 Okay, I watched this episode a couple of times, another post-episode post where I’m trying to gather my thoughts. SPOILERS FOR S2E9 AND E10 1. Probably missing scene I am 99% sure that we are not done with the “from the hospital to the pier” scene, I will believe until the last moment that this is a hoax. Chen Xiaoshi will run into the red light, and in fact, I think there is one missing scene at this point.
Some time ago, a small draft was published, where one of the characters ran across the road and barely dodged a moving car. Soo, I think it was here. If this remains in the final version, of course, we'll definitely come back to it (source). Just my speculation.
Yes, Xiaoshi was just impossibly lucky (lmao) to escape from the hospital, but we are still left with three unclear details:
upside down phone
the kettle in chronology 1
damn boat! This part of the plot is still the most confusing thing for me. What was the point of giving Lu Guang away the first time? What was the point of creating a time loop? Why he still ended up with Lu Guang (as it seems) in the scene of Romeo and Juliet? I'm pretty patient with this, just curious.
2. Abilities. I think we got a hint about how the twins' powers work. Previously, I assumed that the limitation of Li Tianchen's control abilities was like this: that he could only act in the evening, night and early morning (somewhere in between), since all the kills and uses of his abilities did not occur during the day. Now perhaps we have our answer? Based on the history of the foxes, it is likely that the time of using his abilities is tied to his sister's "sleeping time". Because when she was sleeping, her brother went for "hunting". Moreover, such a focus is on his “paws” and pats.
3. Change of events - Qian Jin and twins The way twins met Qian Jin is SO different. I actually kinda think, that that one of the variants of events is the already fucked up past through the present. s2e9:
s2e8:
It seems to me that the difference in these events is obvious. Both the moment itself and the details. Li Tianchen's backpack on his back, blood on Li Tianxi's dress. Everything went differently.
Alternate realities went brrrrr? The scene from the episode is an attempt to change events, where instead of Qian Jin it is actually Cheng Xiaoshi? I have no idea. 4. Hi, hatman! Friendly reminder: it's just my guessing. At the moment it seems to me that if there is no trolling here, the boy from the flashbacks and the hunter from the fairy tale are the same character. Clearly. We know that his last name is Liu, and Liu Min himself has a younger brother, Liu Xiao, so yeah- Сan't wait for him to return from overseas and be part of a real scene.
In fact, I really love that Li Tianchen hoped throughout his expression that Liu Min is Liu Xiao (whether he realizes that these are different people is still unclear)
Considering the announcement of Neo Aurora, it seems that we will see Liu Xiao's real appearance and design in the near future, I'm shaking. I have so many stupid jokes about him! 6. Liu Min I guess the woman they were discussing at the beginning was someone else? Since Liu Min can still able to move his legs and even can stand up.
I can conclude that Emma was not the first victim of this “alliance.” So it's hard to say how many people were actually killed, definitely not 8, much more. At least that's what it seems to me. Idk, I'm just having fun, as always. Feel free to discuss. Thanks for reading ~

watched a full gameplay of c09 the flipside and i have the same opinion on it as everybody else,, yea its bad lmao
imo the best endings are the ari dies ending (unfortunately, rip one of my favorite lesbians) and the nicoles suicide ending. i felt like those two were the ones most written like the two previous games and didnt leave me a bad enough taste on my mouth,, apart from those id like to completely ignore the fact that theres other routes.
but maybe later though because something that striked me as weird is ive been seeing people defend the characterization of nicole in the scene with jecka's dad (yk the one) and its like ??
i know that nicole is not a good person and she does petty and cruel things to people just because she can, but its to who shes doing that petty and cruel thing to that is the problem. nicole is shown (although kinda subtely) to actually care for jecka. i mean come on,, she causes trouble intentionally just so the counselour can focus on her and leave jecka alone to smoke in peace all so jecka would talk to her again. if nicole saw her in the same light she did megan or ari she wouldnt have cared enough to do anything.
hell honestly i dont think nicole would even stoop that low! the only times she does anything that would be considered a sexual act is when shes literally broke and homeless. im pretty sure she would rather die than ever touch that middle aged man,,
in conclusion the game was shit and i hate how that scene destroys a part of nicoles character and how its basically just jecka torture fest with nothing in it to make it even mildly funny (except maybe the hatman scene)

At about 1:20 in the OP, we see Lewis and Isami in a ruined city during sunset. They’re in their original mechs, and Isami seems pretty happy to see Lewis. This isn’t the scene from the first episode, he shut down Lewis then. There’s nothing to hide from the audience. We know Bravern exists so why is Isami in his original mech?
This is the original timeline we’re seeing. It cuts directly to Bravern after Isami and Lewis clasp hands. Lewis is Bravern.
Yeah and what about this huh? Lewis' arm doesn't match Bravern's arm or servos. And biblically accurate hatman over here doesn't look like Bravern either
Lewis also becomes Mitochondrial Steve
#Bang Brave Bang Bravern#Lewis Smith#Production is just fucking everyone over right now#Playing us like pianos

Annabeth standing over Percy during the “you drool when you sleep” scene like she’s the Hatman and Percy owes her money is my absolute favorite deviance from the book. Looking like a princess is out, looking like his sleep paralysis demon is in!!!!

So my thoughts on season 2 Link Click.
It was a good season. It has amazing emotional moments, and it has good action scenes.
But it was different from the first season. They changed the genre and tone.
Instead of discovering other's people lives we now discover the main trio's. And it's... not bad. It's just different.
I really recommend everyone to experience the first season. Especially an earthquake arc. But do I say that the second season is a masterpiece? I do not.
It's just not. I was entertained and I experienced real emotions when watched the twins' backstory. It was good.
The story's tone changed. It's a fact.
But the season's ending... Shit, I'm engaged for a deep dive into CXS and LG's story. I really want to see the hatman and what he wants to do with time.

Hmmm. Almost like a parallel scene to Charlotte meeting the hatman. I mean the Umbrella Man. Anyways I wonder if this kid is supposed to be like one of the seven deadly sins, if I were to throw out a completely random guess anyways.... Visually Freya completely contrasts Charlotte, so they have to be connected to eachother in some way shape or form?
#hello Charlotte liveblog#also im noting freya resembles the umbrella man slightly. if only the black color scheme. so does aiden.#so im not sure if thats supposed to be noteworthy or if im just reading too much into thinfs

hey remember what i said about thinking of a new and interesting way to ruin yoojin's life. au of the secret haunting au. i love ghosts i love talking about ghosts but i especially love when they're real
*
Han Yoohyun dies.
And then Han Yoohyun wakes up.
To screaming, to strangers' hands stretching out, to his brother with tears staining his cheeks and a glowing red stone in his palm--
Han Yoohyun wakes up, and he's in one of Haeyeon's reception rooms, his brother in front of him. "Hyung-?" he starts, already reaching out, eyes scanning him--no blood, no scars, no awkward stance to keep the weight off his bad leg--
There's a hand on his shoulder. He whips around, slapping the hand off--
It's Song Taewon.
Song Taewon is dead.
"You're dead too," Chief Song says, like he knows what Yoohyun's thinking. His voice is steady and firm, like he's giving a mission briefing. Not looking for a fight. Yoohyun grits his teeth and doesn't let himself relax. "We're ghosts, or something like it. It's a side effect of your brother's skills, as far as we can tell."
(The dragon's claws, ripping through him like scissors through paper. He can't remember the last time he felt that sort of pain, but he can remember thinking worth it.)
Yoohyun turns and stares at his brother. He looks--healthy, thank god, but he also looks... strangely young. "What's..." He frowns, glancing around. He knows this room. Didn't they replace these sofas? "How are we here?"
"A wishing item." Chief Song steps up beside him; out of the corner of his eye, he can see him studying hyung with a frown on his face. "He asked to go five years back in time with his memories."
A do-over? Hope swells inside Yoohyun, only to die just as fast, because-- "Hyung," he says again, loudly. Too loud.
His brother looks straight through him, a hollowness to his eyes.
"He can't hear you," a new voice whispers. Yoohyun glances over sharply to find the room crowded by strangers, except... He knows these faces. Aren't these hyung's old teammates? (A side effect of your brother's skills.) The one who must have spoken is near the front, staring at him. Her name slips his mind, but the brown hair and that sweater are distinct. She was among the earliest people hyung worked with, and if he's remembering the report right, she died in that very outfit.
Whatever her name is, she gives him a cautious glance before taking a slow step closer, peering at Yoojin as her mouth thins into a line. "He can't see you, either," she continues. "And you won't be able to touch him. Oppa's got no idea we're here."
Yoohyun thought so. He's clenching his teeth so tight his jaw aches, and he forces himself to relax, or at least enough to stop the hurting. "How long have you been watching?"
"Since we died," one of the others pipes up. Yoohyun vaguely recognizes him, too. (Hyung's friend, hyung's coworker, hyung's friend, hyung's friend, hyung's teammate, on and on... And Chief Song? whispers a tiny voice at the back of his mind.) The man shrugs. "Like Chief Song said. We're ghosts, right?"
Ghosts, or something like it. Yoohyun swallows. "And you've never been able to--"
That's when someone comes storming through the door, hyung's teammates hastily pulling out of his way. "Hyung," the intruder snaps, and Yoohyun bristles as he looks over (his hyung not yours not yours-!).
It's--him. It's Han Yoohyun.
"Dungeon brokers are--"
"Sorry," hyung says, and Yoohyun feels like shaking apart at the look in his brother's eyes when he gazes at the other-him. "I won't do it again."
Other-Yoohyun's brows furrow. Yoohyun realizes that on his face, surprise looks a lot like frustration. "If you've maybe gotten yourself in trouble-"
He keeps talking, but Yoohyun doesn't want to listen. Five years ago, Chief Song said. He knows the way he was talking to his brother five years ago.
He remembers exactly why he spoke to him that way, because it's the same reason he spoke to him that way just an hour or so ago. That doesn't stop him from wanting to put a fist through other-him's face when he sees the way hyung just takes it, the sheer lack of fury, of even just indignation. I was being immature, he's saying with a laugh, like it wasn't an hour ago that he threw his weapons aside and faced down a dragon and told Yoohyun I'll save you the trouble of holding a funeral--
He's not sure what sort of expression he's making, but by the way Song Taewon hisses "Han Yoohyun," and the other ghosts draw back, it must not be a very nice one.
Well. It's not like he cares about that sort of thing.
The tangled surge of emotions has his ears ringing, and so it's hard to hear what exactly other-Yoohyun says to their hyung before his brother suddenly steps forward and pulls him into a hug. Yoohyun steps forward, too, unable to stop himself. "Hyung," he whispers, strangled, and he isn't calm enough to hear properly again but he can see his brother's lips shape the words my brother, shape his name.
The next words cut clear through the ringing.
I love you.
There's arms wrapping around Yoohyun, and he shoves them away instinctively, pulling back with a snarl--
Hyung stares back, eyes wide with surprise and--a flicker of hurt that disappears a second later, replaced by blankness, and Yoohyun gasps, reaches out, and when he clutches at his brother's shoulders, his hands don't go through.
His hands don't go through.
(And you won't be able to touch him.)
"…Yoohyun-ah?" hyung asks, tentatively raising a hand before hesitating and going to drop it. Yoohyun instinctively grabs for it before he can lower it completely, wrapping his fingers around his brother's, and hold on, hold on, where's the stiffness in his fingers and the tightness of the skin at his wrist from old injuries and scars--?
Yoohyun slaps his other hand against his own face. Cheeks softer and rounder than he remembers, the line of his jaw not nearly harsh enough. Cold air against his forearms as he fumbles his way through the check; his forearms are bare--
His forearms are bare. He's in a T-shirt. The blood-soaked turtleneck, the rippling coat, they're- they're gone.
Hyung's still here.
"Hyung," he breathes, and yanks his brother back into another hug, tighter than before. Hyung lets out a muffled squawk, but he falls into the hold without a fight, clutching back at Yoohyun just as hard. Yoohyun buries his face in his brother's neck. "Hyung."
"Yoohyun-ah," hyung says, audibly bewildered. He reaches up and combs a hand through Yoohyun's hair. "What's- What happened? What's wrong?"
What's wrong? What's wrong? "You almost died," Yoohyun hisses. "You almost died, you would've died if I hadn't- You would've- You were going to--"
His voice rises as he keeps talking, and Yoohyun's fingers curl into his brother's shirt as he all but shouts- "Don't ever do that again!"
His voice cracks on the last word, and the next breath that escapes him comes out halfway to a sob, and his brother's hand has frozen in his hair, so Yoohyun raises his head to look at him--
Yoojin is staring back at him in undisguised horror. "What?" And then, a second later, eyes widening impossibly further: "You remember?"
#star.txt#you attempt to DIE? you attempt to give your life for me? oh!! oh!!!! confinement for hyung!! confinement for hyung for One Thousand Ye#yeah anyway after the shitstorm that is the resulting freakout yoohyun's like hey wait where'd chief song and the others go.#and yoojins like THE WHO? Things I've learned from analysing the first 10 Scenes of Rook and Bishop.
Bishop has totally been into Rook since the beginning. He is constantly showing off to him and trying to look cool.
His reaction to unexpectedly bumping into Rook will live forever on my heart.
But the usually stoic Rook seems to get flustered in the presence of a certain Professor of Archeology. Trust me when I say it only happens more throughout the game.
Naturally, that turns Bishop into a jealous supervillain who wants to destroy Batman, I mean Hatman at all costs.
So it turns out that Azran Legacy from their perspective is a slow burn rom com with a lot of one-sided pining and a complicated love triangle that most don't even know they are a part of.
And I am living for it.

Black Horror Tropes
I was incredibly overwhelmed by the documentary Horror Noire. This documentary delves into a century of horror films that used and exploited Black Americans in Hollywood. Horror Noire opened my knowledge to an array of familiar tropes that Black people are expected to fulfill for white audiences. We commonly see that Black figures in movies are side characters cast to help white people resolve their dilemmas. For instance, in The Shining, Dick Hallorann is a typical Black magical character that exists to spread knowledge of the supernatural world. Jezelle Gay Hatman, in the movie Jeepers Creepers, is a psychic who sees an evil dream about Trish and Darry. Another trope we often see is the sacrificial Black person who is the first to die, protecting the white person. White directors assigned these roles with their preconceived notions of Black people and what they meant to them. Needless to say, the representation of Black people is, most of the time, incorrect and perpetuated by white directors for their benefit.
Moreover, throughout history, I have learned that white filmmakers want Black actors to be what they believe the Black identity to be. However, directors such as Spencer Williams defy these stereotypes and reclaim the Black identity. William, Son of Ingagi, does this exactly as he depicts his all-Black cast as middle-class people who are husbands, wives, scientists, lawyers, and detectives. Casting Black people in this way was a breakthrough. Another more recent and modern example is Get Out by Jordan Peele, who created Chris, a Black protagonist, as the hero and white people as the villains. Peele’s movie reverses familiar tropes we see throughout the history of Black Horror and eliminates the white perspective, which commonly decides how Black people are defined. Instead, the movie is depicted through a Black lens and frames racism as the monster in the film. My absolute favorite scene from Get Out is when Chris picks cotton from his chair, plugging it into his ear to stop his hypnosis state. It is incredible how Chris can avoid white people from owning his body by repurposing the use of cotton, a symbolic remembrance of a type of labor used during slavery.
I begin to learn so many insightful topics from this class and the documentary Horror Noire that I hope to continue learning to expand my knowledge of Black Horror. Along the way, I'm excited to watch a myriad of films I've never had the opportunity to watch before.

The most important part is above, here is the part about me to make some things clear if anyone decides to check out my page. Chinese and English are not my native languages, but the way to survive and escape from my past life. I never received proper education related to languages, studying them mostly from the environment and people nearby, so please keep in mind that I may make mistakes in my meta posts.
The center of my interests is novels. I can't say that it only includes danmei. I really like Priest and my main dream is to read all her books… It's a long way, but I have faith. For now I'm taking a break, because reading books without translation takes a lot of time. I'll probably stay in the LinkClick fandom for a while... Maybe until the series is completed.
I love media industry from the production side, so for me fandom life is an attempt to understand the inner workings of the studios, the process, how you can break everything that happens in the narrative into parts. It makes me happy, and it keeps me in love with the industry, as I have one fear - that I will be completely disappointed when I graduate from university. I need an anchor. I prefer to draw for my eyes only, but sometimes something changes in my mind and I post it.
I'm quite calm, friendly and like to touch grass, so feel free to DM me if you want to talk or ask something. Everything is fine if you are able to separate fiction and reality ~
Thanks for reading ~

The One With Too Many Screencaps, Mini Toasts, and Mikau’s Personality Quirks
I’m watching more Ladybug episodes in Japanese to keep my listening skills...well, probably not “sharp”, but...let’s go with “not dull”. ^.^; Today is L’Imposteur/Copycat.
I know in Season Two Marinette’s house switches to be on the Right Bank, but in Season One (here and in Animan), it’s on the Left Bank. If you look at the below Google map of the area, you’ll notice that the scale in the show isn’t quite accurate. For fanfiction purposes, I put Marinette’s house roughly where Shakespeare & Company is so that her house is next to a park (okay, it’s a “square”, the Square René-Viviani - my own picture below) like in the show...though the park in the show is actually the Place des Vosges, nowhere near there, but... And, I mean, I guess they regularly show the Eiffel Tour right behind the school, and that’s nowhere near Notre Dame either, so...I just use the real geography of Paris in my writings to the best of my ability. ^.^;
Okay. On to the actual episode. ^.^; When I first saw this, I thought it was kind of weird for someone in their mid- to late-twenties to have a thing for a fifteen-year-old girl. This was back before Marinette’s birthday in Season Two aired, so I assumed she was fifteen like Alix, since they were in the same class (In Chronogirl/Timebreaker, Alix’s dad says it’s her fifteenth birthday). When I learned that Marinette had been thirteen in Season One, Theo’s crush on Ladybug weirded me out even more. Then I saw a post by Astruc circulating on Tumblr about how Theo was supposedly only a few years older than the main cast? Like, eighteen tops? :/ Hmmm.
O.O XD In the above screenshot, Marinette, in her haste not to be detected in the middle of her quest to delete her voicemail from Adrien’s phone, has just slammed the locker door THROUGH Tikki! How funny would that have been if Tikki hadn’t phased through the door in time? I never noticed this before! Most of the time I love Tikki because she’s a cutie, and her relationship with Marinette is really sweet, but sometimes I want to slam a door through Tikki because the rules she coerces Marinette into following stress Marinette out and make Marinette feel isolated. It broke my heart when Marinette told Tikki that she felt like Tikki was the only one Marinette could be her real self in front of because I was thinking, “That’s because it’s Tikki’s fault that you can’t share your struggles with anyone because she’s making you keep secrets from your loved ones who would help and support you if you didn’t have to lie to them all the time”. I’m glaring at you, Tikki. You make my girl suffer. Ahem. But then Tikki does really sweet, loving things too, and you can tell that she and Marinette are super close and love one another, so...I guess deities aren’t always perfect either?
Also, when Theo steals the Mona Lisa in the middle of the day, that scene is so unrealistic. At any given time, there is a mob of people he would have to shove out of the way to get to that painting. If you want to see the Mona Lisa without a huge crowd of people blocking your view, go to the Louvre on one of the nights when they’re open late. (I think it’s Wednesday and Friday.) The crowd is much more manageable. ^.^
Marinette hitting the call answer button with her nose made me so happy. When I’m wearing gloves and have to operate my phone, I often push buttons with my nose. Because, I mean, who has time to take gloves off? Despite the fact that it takes much longer to navigate a phone using your nose. But...it’s cold. Anyway. I always thought I was really weird, but Marinette doing this means that multiple other people do this because, if they didn’t, this scene wouldn’t have made it past the scrutiny of others before being released. This scene made me feel less like a weirdo. ^.^;
So, in the above screencap, if you look to your right at Liberty Leading the People (original here), I’m really surprised that they put this in a show targeted primarily at children. No, not just because Marianne is bare-breasted. Mostly (warning for male nudity) it’s about the guy lying dead at her feet. He’s not wearing pants. He’s not wearing underwear either, and the painting has been faithfully reproduced in the Ladybug episode. (Yes, of course I looked. ^.^ I may be ace, but I’m also an art history nerd, and I needed to know if there was a hidden phallus in my kids’ show. I guess it’s okay, since you only see it if you already know it’s there? ^.^;)
Meanwhile, I found the below package of “mini toasts” at my local grocery store where Marianne’s chest has been covered and the dead, pants-less guy has been cropped out. I feel like this is defacing art. And for what? To sell “mini toasts”?
Also, why is the Mona Lisa suddenly back in the above screenshot? Didn’t that just get stolen?
If you look at the bracelet on Roger’s wrist (no, it’s not a watch. He’s wearing a watch on his other wrist), it looks like it has a plate for an inscription. It looks like the medical alert bracelet that I wear because I have Juvenile/Type I Diabetes. I wonder if Roger has a medical condition. Has anyone else ever seen this and thought about it? I’ve always looked at that bracelet and thought, “Ah. Probably a Type II diabetic”. I guess because I have associations linked to bracelets that look like that? ^.^; I kind of feel bad that my brain automatically stereotypes him. -.-
I’m aware that production errors happen, but I’ve decided that it is my hill to die on that Adrien Agreste is left-handed. (Because I’m lonely; there aren’t enough lefties in the world.) So, I’m collecting evidence that Adrien is left-handed. Please see above where Chat Noir wields his staff left-handed. (Honestly, I think he’s ambidextrous, but his left hand is his dominant. I was originally left-handed, but the elderly nuns at my primary school told me that I was supposed to use my right hand...so now I use both.)
By the way, The Gorilla knows. After Chat Noir bounces off the back of his car, off screen, Gorilla just shakes his head and rolls his eyes and thinks, “Adrien, I am good at my job. You really believe that I don’t know you run around Paris as a cat-themed vigilante? Come on”.
Most importantly, Nino, why did you take off your hat?! He’s never done that before, and that takes, like, production budget to do, right? There must be a super secret reason why the hat had to go. Maybe it’s on a special mission that no one can know about. It probably has a secret identity too. Hatman or something.
Also, what is Juleka wearing? It’s like her outfit didn’t get colored in. Hm.
Thanks for joining me for all of this nonsense. ^.^
