I was having trouble with nightmares a bit ago, which stopped when I started listening to horror stories before bed. And as I listen to my horror tale each night, I enjoy the irony.
#i can explain this normLly#but irony and mystic is more fun#it removes the real fears from my mind and fills my head with fiction as I fall asleep#and no monster is as scary to me as my real life#it also lets me relax better#which leads to falling into a deeper sleep#where im less likely to dream at all#but i just kinda enjoy how it all worked out#and the fact it couldve been many things but I chose horror#im especially fond of old stories for this#like lovecraft#the lack of scientific understanding stops it from feeling truly scary#and the racist inputs make me laugh at their stupidity as if theyre comic relief#because the idea of racism is so foolish that in my modern life and culture we point and laugh at racists#i also learn new slurs this way#which is... something#i guess its good to know what words to avoid people who use#cant exactly put them in my vocab study list tho lol#i also like old horror because it often couldnt happen today#so if i dream of the story my modern base idea for the world will give me escape routes all over
