i've had to write this "lab report but don't write a full lab report, just write down what you did" thing for aaaaaaaaaages but the vagueness of the assignment in combination with my low motivation + perfectionism has made me literally itch every time i tried to finish it. but the fact that i have to see the professors in real life on tuesday is that last little boost of motivation i need to finally get it done.

but i just. literally feel like gru when he does that powerpoint about stealing the moon

do they seriously want me to write "i sliced my pear into 10 slices. i measured each slice. i put the measurements into the excel file." ???

#i also have to discuss the idea of using 'concrete' materials in maths education #and my entire pov is: grumpy old man wants to just use a textbook leave me the fuck alone #not quite but pretty much #and the current trend is: make education FUN and CASUAL and connect every day stuff to maths #which is cute. but the top levels of maths are abstract and just shut up about it #matrices are very abstract. deal with it or don't take this maths course #you know?#high school maths is not the same as learning multiplication with the aid of maths cubes #they're very different things
