I'm not sure if you know anything about Delta Squad. But perhaps can I request Bad Batch x Fem Padawan reader who was first adopted by Delta Squad and when order 66 happened she was recused by Bad Batch, after attempting to use the force to stop them from harming her.
DELTA SQUAD MENTION RAAAAH!!
What a great first request!
This is gonna be a long one so buckle in
F!Reader x Bad Batch: Being saved from Order 66
warnings: Order 66, slight canon divergence, character death, Crosshair never follows Order 66, betrayal, angst, hurt/comfort, use of force speed because why did we never see that after Episode One, light fluff
This can't be happening.
What was even happening?
One second you and Delta Squad are on Kaller celebrating the death of General Grievous and the seeming end of the Clone War. The next, you're running as fast as you can, as far as you can, away from your squad; your family, who are now doing everything they can to find and destroy you.
You were Master Shaak Ti's padawan, and once helped her oversee the prowess of the clone army. But soon the war effort called you off-world to lead a special force of clone commandos. Master Shaak saw this as a way to know for certain if you were ready to be Knighted, since you were an adult now.
Boss, Scorch, Sev, and Fixer were apart of Delta Squad, and looked to you for guidance as their Commander. It was unnerving at first, being away from your master's calming presence and not being able to seek her guidance at a moment's notice.
But, you eventually proved your worth as a commander, and soon a knight. At least you would have if there was an Order to return to after this last mission.
You will never forget, Sev was the first to draw his rifle on you. At first you thought it was some distasteful joke. You weren't a stranger to your squad's pranks.
But when you sensed his index finger curl, and heard the faintest tick of his trigger being drawn back, you couldn't help the reflex of igniting your saber and swinging the blaster bolt back into your opponent's shoulder.
Sev had cried out, and even to this day his cry echos through your mind in the late of night.
Then the others drew your weapons and that's when you ran. You refused to fight them. Not because you couldn't, but because you wouldn't. They were your friends, your brothers. You lead them through their first campaign on Geonosis, laughed with them, cried with them. Celebrated victories and healed their wounds.
Clone Force 99 found you cornered between Delta Squad and the icy canyon below the ridge you stood on.
"Just stay back! Please!" You pleaded, lightsaber drawn and eyes glossed over with tears. You weren't in fear for yourself, but instead afraid of what you'd have to do to ensure your survival.
They weren't speaking to you. Why weren't they speaking to you?
"We've got her now, boys. Open fire on the target." Boss said to his brothers.
It was with those words that it was finally able to register in your head.
Something definitely happened, that was for certain. They were given orders from someone that superseded you. If that was the case, nothing you could say or do would stop them from completing their mission. You damned their unwavering loyalty before you sprung into action.
You'd always held back when sparring with your brothers. You were quicker, stronger, and could see their moves before they made them. You never let them win, only kept up with them until they grew tired, which granted took a while. But now it was life or death, you understood that now as you sliced their rifles in half, blocked their punches and parried their melee attacks before even they knew what they were moving to do.
The Batch watched the scene unfold from the treeline, still unsure of whose side they should be taking. Echo advocated stepping in right away on your behalf, but the jury was still out with the rest. Besides, it didn't look like you needed help.
Nothing like this has ever happened before. The Jedi were trustworthy, no? Especially the padawan of Shaak Ti.
They knew you in passing. You've interacted with the batch a few times, usually just accompanying Shaak Ti during their assessments. The Batch teased each other for their crush on you, and had taken every chance they could to pass you in the sterile hallways on Kamino. Now, that beautiful, calming padawan was fighting for her life.
In this moment you were other-worldly. It was nearly impossible for the batch to keep track of your form weaving through the four supersoldiers, blocking their attacks as you still clung to hope they'd come to their senses.
"She's not just killing them." Crosshair said.
"She doesn't want to." Echo replied.
Hunter had heard through the grapevine of padawan Ahsoka's alleged treason, that was later learned to be false. Could it be the same, here?
When Hunter finally finished mulling it over and called for CF-99 to aid you, they dove through the shrubs to stun your opponents while their attention was still fixated on you.
You watched in shock as Delta Squad's bodies crumbled to the ground around you, not realizing what happened until you saw the clones at the treeline.
"Commander," Hunter greeted you, worry wrinkling his brow.
"Sergeant. They tried to kill me! What is happening?" You asked.
"That's what we're trying to find out. But it isn't safe for you here."
"It doesn't appear it is safe for her anywhere," Tech interjected, eyes fixated on his datapad. "It says here the Jedi Order had commit treason against the Republic, and we are to eliminate all targets under Order 66."
"Treason? The entire Jedi Order? What could be the... Fives!" You breathed, your fingers draping over your mouth.
"Fives what?" Echo asked.
"He tried to warn me about a plot against the Jedi. I wanted to believe him, but before he could prove it he was–" You sighed and shook your head, sheathing your saber so you could dig the heels of your palms into your temples as the world you once knew was flipped upside down.
"We have to get you out of here. If the other clones planetside know you're here they'll try to..." Hunter said.
"I understand. It seems I will have to–" You nearly doubled over as an unfamiliar senstation dug through you like a vibroblade.
The tether between you and Shaak Ti was severed. She was killed.
You regained your footing with the help of Wrecker who steadied you.
"Master Ti. They- they killed her."
Hunter sensed regs closing in on your location. "Come on. We have to go, now!" He barked.
Running alongside the batch, tears streamed across your cheeks as you grappled with the fact that Master Ti, the woman who raised you, taught you, protected you, was cut down and you weren't there to stop it. Or at least die with her.
You boarded the Maurader and Echo helped you into a seat as you were overcome with emotions. Emotions you were taught to supress spilled out of you with the wound Shaak Ti's death left. Your shoulders quivered as you sobbed softly to yourself.
You were sad, angry, and scared.
"Take me to the nearest planet that doesn't have a Republic nor Separatist occupation," You finally said when the tears subsided. "I can't return to Kamino. I must hide until I figure out what is happening."
Tech nodded before keying in coordinates and making the jump to hyperspace. It would be a few days before you arrived, so it was time to get comfortable with your company.
Hunter:
The Clone Sergeant didn't know what to say to you for the first few hours.
Partly because he'd never conversed with you one-on-one and was nervous to talk to the pretty Jedi that was the object of his affections for the past few years.
Your entire squad just betrayed you. He couldn't imagine how that must feel. He didn't want to.
At first, every time he looked at you he was reminded of his greatest fear, and couldn't face it.
Eventually he decided he had to say something, gazing at your form curled up in a seat, seeming far away.
It wasn't until Crosshair literally shoved him in your direction did he finally approach you.
"Uhh, Commander... I... can't imagine what you're going through right now. If you need anything, let me know, yeah?" He asked.
"Thank you," You replied, voice small and strained now as you try to grapple your emotions.
"And, for what it's worth... You fought well. I think Delta Squad is lucky to have such a commander. I'm sorry they betrayed you. You won't get that from us."
You smiled at him and his heart stopped.
He wasn't sure of where you'd end up after they took you somewhere safe, but he was determined to cross paths with you again.
Echo:
Echo has the most experience out of the batch when it comes to working with Jedi. He understood their overall nature; Kind, calm, wise.
You were no different. It's why he was picking his brain for any reason clones would be ordered to murder you.
Echo knew you before his accident. It was your faith in him and the rest of Domino Squad that drove him to work together with his team. He'd been smitten with you ever since.
"Are you alright?" He asked, coming to sit across from you.
You looked up at him, and his chest tightened as the two of you made real, undivided eye contact with each other for the first time in years. Your eyes were wiser now, even while saddened.
"I'm... shaken. And trying to cope with the fact that I will have to leave everything I've known if it means I'll survive."
"You've still got us," Echo offered. "We don't really know what's going on either, but you can trust us. You can trust me."
"Thank you, Echo."
"Anytime. I... appreciate, all you've done for me and my brothers in the past. It's the least I can do for you now."
You reached over to touch his hand that rested in his lap, and he only froze a little. The look you then gave him when your eyes met again was a look he'd never soon forget.
Wrecker:
After a day of being on the Maurader with you, Wrecker knew he wanted to cheer you up. But he wasn't sure how.
He started with offering you his favorite flavor of ration bar, which you politely declined. Not much of an appetite.
Nodding, he left and returned with Lula, making her dance around you as he hummed a tune, and eventually bonked you on the head with the plushie to provoke a laugh.
His brothers told him to leave you alone but you assured them it was fine.
You liked Wrecker. He was silly and said what was on his mind.
His humorous way of cheering you up seemed to be working.
He crouched down to your level, looking up at you to meet your eyes and smiled. "C'mon Commander, let's hear that pretty laugh." He said.
He thinks it's pretty?
You thought back to your handful of interactions, and found you had chuckled a few times here and there.
This encouraged a soft giggle out of you.
"Thank you, Wrecker. I really needed that."
"Anytime, Commander."
Tech:
Tech has never seen anyone cry before. Not really, anyways.
He's seen people cry in the holofilms, and knew it was something you did when you were sad.
But Clones were in many ways emotionally stunted, even moreso Tech.
So watching you cry, well... it stirred something in his chest he'd never quite felt before.
He knew you were sad, that much was clear.
But how do you comfort someone who's crying!
"Don't fret. Your tears are simply a pathological response made to relieve some of the traumatic stress you may be feeling." Tech explained sagely as he sat beside you.
"That's... good to know, Tech. Thank you."
He then passed you a ration bar. "Here you must eat. You will need your Jedi strength."
His unconventional way of displaying his affection was oddly charming. Doting on you like a mother hen while also explaining the science behind your emotions in painful detail to alleviate your worry.
Crosshair:
You'd always seen through Crosshair's stoic, brooding demeanor.
You knew there was a storm of thoughts and feelings swirling around that noodle of his.
There was so much he was thinking at any point in time, so much he could say.
And he knew you knew. Everytime you two locked eyes, he felt you looking right through him into something more than what met the eye.
It was unnerving. He didn't like being seen in that way. Mostly because he didn't know what it'd entail.
Your eyes were duller now after what transpired, like you yourself had built up your walls into your own psyche.
It was like a thorn in his heart, not being able to see you like he did. So that's what it felt like.
He wanted to be let in.
"Need an ear?" He offered when it was just you two aboard the ship.
He didn't mean to startle you right as you exited the refresher after your sonic shower, but it was on his mind since he saw you disappear to freshen up.
"What?" You said, eyes alert suddenly.
"If you need to talk, I'll listen." He reiterated more clearly this time.
You looked down, shoulders shrugging weakly. "I'm not even sure what I want to say that would help."
He nodded his head in the direction of the cockpit and you followed him to sit in the pilot chairs.
"Maybe it won't fix anything, but it will at least be off your chest."
You exhaled through your mouth, then nodded.
"I just can't believe... I was close to them. They were my brothers. I thought that no matter what, they wouldn't..." You began.
Cross listened intently to your grievances, nodding to let you know he was listening, humming occasionally. Finding out more about your personality in the process.
Finally, when you couldn't find anything else to add, you wiped your tears and sat back, sighing deeply.
He was right, it at least helped with the cinderblock weight on your chest grief gave you.
"Thank you, Crosshair." You said.
He looked into your orbs, then to the swirl of blue and white that was hyperspace. "Get some rest. You can have my bunk, I changed the linens this morning." He said.
Sorry if this took too long, I just really liked this idea and the words came spilling out.

Chapter one is finished!!! Still haven't figured out a name for this series, so I'll take any suggestions yall have!!
Summary: Crosshair and Echo watch the rest of their team succumb to the chip's control.
Warnings: Character death, canon character death, violence, canon divergence, alternate universe
WC: 2591
---------------
Crosshair didn’t know what to think when he turned to see the regs firing at their Jedi General. Over the sound of blaster fire, he could hear her voice screaming at her padawan to run. Her terror-filled voice sent shivers down the sniper's spine. The Padawan was running in their direction but skidded to a stop when he noticed them in front of him. The Padawan looked at the Bad Batch in fear, taking a shaky step back before turning and disappearing into the snowy woods.
Crosshair looked between the regs running toward the batch and the woods where the kid disappeared, trying to figure out what had caused the regs’ sudden turn.
The realization that Tech was reading something off his datapad had Crosshair snapping his attention back to his brother. Tech explained that General Grievous had been defeated, marking the end of the war. “The com channels are repeating one directive.” Tech’s demeanor changed as he read the next line, “Execute Order 66.”
The moment the words left Tech’s mouth, Crosshair knew something was wrong. He watched as everyone but Echo stiffened. Hunter’s sharp eyes growing eerily distant.
“We need to go after the kid,” Echo broke the strange silence, pointing to where the padawan had disappeared, “He’s gonna get himself killed out there alone!”
Hunter glared at Echo, causing the Corporal to take a step back. “The kid is a jedi. The order includes him,”
“The order??” Echo’s eyes were wide with shock, “Hunter! He’s a kid! We don’t even know what the ‘order’ is!”
“Good soldiers follow orders.”
A pause. Echo’s confused and pleading eyes stared back at Hunter’s distant ones before the Sergeant turned towards where the kid had vanished. “...what?”
Following the trail of small footsteps through the snow, Hunter ignored the ARC. Not another word was uttered as Tech and Wrecker followed behind him, holding their weapons at ready. Echo watched them go, turning towards Crosshair, who hesitantly followed the others.
Before Crosshair could go any further, Echo grabbed his arm desperately. “Crosshair, I know you guys don’t work with the Jedi almost ever, but come on! It’s a kid!!”
Crosshair nodded. “Believe me, I know. Something’s… off. Hunter would never-“
Blaster fire echoed through the mountain range. Crosshair whipped his head around, looking down towards the woods before back up at Echo. Not a word was exchanged as both immediately took off down the snowy slope after their brothers.
The blaster fire stopped as they got closer. Crosshair’s breath caught in his throat as they spotted the rest of the batch. At Hunter’s feet lay the motionless body of the padawan, four blaster burns decorating the young boy’s chest. His eyes were open, but their light was long gone. His round, childish features were frozen in an expression of permanent fear.
The Padawan’s lightsaber was clenched in Hunter’s fist, helmet concealing all emotions on his face. Crosshair could see in the Sergeant’s body language, there was not an ounce of guilt or regret.
Everything about his brothers was wrong. Wrecker was silent, not a single joke or quip escaping his lips. Through the clear visor of Tech’s helmet, Crosshair could see how distant his eyes were, fixed on his datapad, not sparing a glance at the small body at his feet.
The regs were getting closer. Crosshair could hear their boots crunching in the snow behind him, but his eyes refused to leave the boy, smoke still rising from his wounds. His brothers had just murdered a child and the only one who seemed to care at all was Echo.
“We’ve been ordered back to Kamino.”
Crosshair tore his eyes away from the child to glare at Tech. There was no emotion behind his words, no Tech explanation, just orders. Hunter barely acknowledged Tech before walking back up the slope, ignoring Crosshair and Echo all together as he passed. Tech and Wrecker were quick to follow, their steps oddly in sync as they followed their Sergeant.
Crosshair spared a glance back at the young padawan, now being moved by the regs, before nodding at Echo to follow him. Staying further back from the other three, Crosshair and Echo fell into step beside each other.
“Something is seriously wrong with them, Cross,” Echo whispered harshly.
Crosshair studied his brothers as they walked, their movements seemingly not their own. “I know. It’s all wrong,” Very, very wrong.
They continued to follow Hunter at a distance throughout the trek back to the Marauder. Crosshair could feel the uneasy feeling radiating from the ARC that was still in step with the sniper.
When they reached the Marauder, Crosshair climbed the ramp behind Echo, his feet barely hitting the top step before Tech started to raise them. On any other day, Crosshair would have made some snarky comment about waiting for him to be inside before shutting the ramp, or even just an annoyed huff and a glare. Today? Crosshair didn’t even bother to look in Tech’s direction, making his way directly to his bunk. He sat down, keeping his Firepuncher in his hands and ignoring the helmet still on his head. He didn’t want his brothers to see the concern that he was sure was all over his face. He knew his brothers; he knew them better than they knew themselves. Whoever was sitting in the cockpit, were not his brothers.
Not even two weeks ago, Crosshair had watched Hunter almost get himself killed trying to protect a kid. He refused to believe that he had just witnessed that same brother murder a child for treason of all things.
That kid couldn’t have been older than thirteen. Why was he even on a battlefield to begin with?
Crosshair could understand a few Jedi committing treason. They had heard of the massacre on Umbara, a Jedi General who pulled just the right strings to trick two battalions to fire upon each other. Hundreds of regs had been murdered for no other reason than Krell finding power hungry satisfaction in their deaths. Apparently Captain Rex had asked the ex-general why he did it and his answer had simply been ‘because I can’.
Crosshair never cared for the regs, but reading that report had his stomach churning. They weren’t even supposed to have access to those reports, but Tech had gotten curious, hacking in and retrieving the reports in a matter of minutes. They had made sure to delete them when Echo had joined, not needing the ARC knowing the horror his late twin had gone through without him.
Crosshair honestly wouldn’t have batted an eye if they had just gone after the Jedi Council. He could count on one hand how many times they had worked with a Jedi, Skywalker being the only one that Crosshair tolerated, but for them to be ordered to murder the padawans? Something extremely screwed up was happening and whatever it was, was coming directly from the top of command.
Crosshair felt as the ship dropped out of hyperspace, leaving him to assume they had arrived back on Kamino. He sighed, forcing himself to stand before making his way to the cockpit. The room was eerily silent as Tech piloted the Marauder towards Tipoca City, his normal fast maneuvers nowhere to be seen. Crosshair hated the way the ship barely rocked as they landed, all Tech’s movements almost droid like.
Echo sat in the co-pilot’s seat, his helmet still secure on his head. Hunter and Wrecker also still wore their helmets, and for once, Crosshair missed the ruckus that was supposed to be their normal.
Hunter exited the Marauder, Wrecker and Tech falling in step as they made their way down the ramp. Crosshair stopped beside the door, waiting for Echo to exit before he followed. Crosshair was the first to notice the hover gurney, a sheet pulled over what was clearly a body being guided across the hanger. He watched as a lightsaber rolled off the gurney, clanging against the metal floor, rolling to a stop at the feet of a reg.
The colors of the surrounding armor caught the sniper’s attention, confusion overtaking him as he spotted the scarlet red of the Corrie Guard. The other companies made sense being here, but seeing the Guard on Kamino made the pit in Crosshair’s stomach sink deeper.
Wordlessly, he continued to follow his brothers through the white halls of Tipoca city; the corridors filled with more troopers than Crosshair had ever seen on Kamino at once.
The batch came to an abrupt stop as Hunter held up his fist. “We’ve got company,” he stated almost coldly. He turned around, the rest of the batch doing the same, quickly spotting their tail.
A small girl stood behind them, waving at the batch, a smile decorating her face. “Hi! I’m Omega!”
Crosshair glanced at Hunter, gauging his reaction as the child introduced herself, his face giving nothing but annoyance. The Sergeant didn’t bother replying to the child, signaling the batch to follow as he began to walk away. The look that came over the girl’s face as Hunter turned away from her had the sniper sneering at the Sergeant.
Echo looked at her with a look of sympathy, offering her a forced smile, “Sorry, kid. We’ve had a rough day. Just… don’t take it personally,”
The girl returned his smile. The look of betrayal on her face stabbed the sniper. He didn’t know who this kid was, but it was evident this child had been excited to meet them, and Hunter barely gave the poor girl a glance.
Echo turned and began to follow the rest, but Crosshair couldn’t help but stare at the girl a little longer. She met his gaze, something in her eyes sending a wave of calm over him. He couldn’t bring himself to return her smile, but he nodded to her, “Stay out of trouble, kid,”
That seemed enough for her, her smile growing just a bit brighter. She waved to him as he turned to catch up with the rest of his brothers.
Something about her was familiar, like he knew, but he couldn’t place it. Her smile burned into his mind, her look of innocence as she introduced herself, the look of betrayal as his brothers cast her off as nothing. He couldn’t get her out of his head, he knew he would likely run into her again, and for a reason Crosshair couldn’t place, he looked forward to it.
—-----------
The Empire. That’s what the republic had now become. A galaxy wide empire with one man sitting at the top, in charge of it all. The thought of a single man being the voice of reason and law didn’t sit well with the sniper. The war was finally finished, yet somehow, Crosshair knew the fight was far from over.
Crosshair began to notice the difference in the regs’ behavior as well, seeming almost as though their minds weren’t their own. Regs never got along with the batch. Insults being thrown their way was just the way of life with the batch when they were on Kamino, but the regs acted as though the batch didn’t exist.
Crosshair eventually found himself in the mess hall, his brothers silently eating around him. He absently stared at the food on his tray, his appetite practically nonexistent. The sniper hadn’t expected much to happen during their meal, seeing as the regs had been weirdly ignoring, but the last thing he expected was a small body sitting to his right. Crosshair looked to see the girl again, smiling up at him as she set her tray beside his. She looked around at the rest of the batch waving, her bright smile still plastered on her face. The only one who paid her any mind was Echo, offering the girls a small smile, and a slightly confused sounding ‘hello’. She looked back at the sniper, her smile now slightly saddened.
“You are aware, sitting with us might attract some unwanted attention?”
The girl’s smile didn’t waver. “But I want to sit with you so I don’t care what they think,” she stated matter-of-factly.
Crosshair tried and failed to hide the small smile that flashed across his lips. “What are you doing on Kamino, anyway?”
The girl shrugged, “I’ve been here all my life,”
Crosshair looked at her in confusion, “All your-?” The voice of a reg behind him had him stopping mid sentence.
“Oh look. The defect squad got themselves a new recruit!”
Crosshair turned to see a small group of regs walking by, a smug look on every one of their faces. Omega shrunk slightly in the seat next to him, which just pissed the sniper off more. Crosshair wasn’t one to start fights with other regs, especially when they were on Kamino, but it was taking everything in him not to launch himself at the smug bastard.
Another reg laughed, “One more member for the sad batch,”
The only thing stopping the sniper now was a small hand that came to rest on his arm, the girl’s face offering him a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, Crosshair. They’re not worth it,”
The regs walked away, laughing and throwing insults over their shoulder. Omega turned back to the table, offering the sniper a reassuring smile, before starting to eat. Crosshair watched the young girl in fascination, wondering why the child had grown up on Tipoca, of all places. Across the table, Echo was watching her as well, glancing at Crosshair with a look of confusion.
“You said you grew up here on Kamino?” Echo questioned, leaning forward and resting his scomp on the table.
Omega nodded, “I work with Nala Se as her medical assistant.”
Crosshair’s confusion continued to grow as the girl smiled at Echo. “...You’re just a kid? Why would they bring you to Kamino-“
“Crosshair,” Hunter’s voice cut him off. The sniper turned to the Sergeant, meeting his gaze, “Tell the girl to get lost. We are about to leave.”
Crosshair just stared at him as he stood up, quickly followed by Wrecker and Tech. Crosshair turned back to Echo and then to Omega, who looked as though she was holding back tears. He looked back at Echo, holding down the anger that was starting to boil. “If he snaps at me one time, I’m gonna hit him.”
Echo rolled his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Yeah, because assaulting your superior officer is a great idea when he’s acting insane.”
“...it’s not his fault.” Omega cut in, her voice barely above a whisper, “He doesn’t have a choice.”
“Doesn’t have-...? The hell does that mean?” Crosshair questioned, a bit more harshly than he wanted, “We’re not droids, kid.”
Omega seemed to shrink into herself, but still looked up to meet the sniper’s eyes. “It’s their inhibitor chip. It’s making them act this way. It’s not their fault!”
“Inhibitor- what?” Echo stared at the kid, as she seemed to shrink even farther.
Before Omega could respond, a voice was calling his name from across the mess hall. He turned to see Hunter standing by the door, his bucket on his head. “Admiral Tarkin has requested for us to run a battle simulation. Let’s go. Both of you.” He barked before turning and disappearing through the door.
Crosshair turned back to Echo, clearly pissed. “...I’m gonna hit him.”
“Cross, no.”

When I heard that Tales of the Jedi had a season two coming out I was not ready for Tales of the Empire. Not only do we finally get to see what happened to Barriss during the reign of the Empire—especially after people were speculating so hard about her being the Inquisitor in the Ahsoka show— we also get to see Morgan Elsbeth’s rise to power, the Inquisitor training, and an inside perspective of the Empire that we’ve only gotten glimpses of from Crosshair and Omega (in the shows/movies). AND we get characters like Darth Vader, the Grand Inquisitor, and Grievous brought back to life in a new animation style. PLUS the inquisitors that we saw defeated by Ahsoka on Raada and in her show. And that was only what they gave us in about two minutes of a trailer. Not to mention this will take place so close to the dawn of the Empire that there’s years of wiggle room, and thus possibilities, within the standing timeline.
Holy heckledoodle pie. I was not ready, but I’m so kriffing excited!!!

It takes a tremendous amount of time to edit all these tags and associate them to Star Wars - All Media Types in the backend, time that the mod team unfortunately does not have considering the amount of nominations Smut Wars get. Unless we hear back from you: the mod team might reject these tags...This means you will lose the slot and won't be able to nominate anything in its place, so please try to edit them!

For the guessing game! I chose 3 words because. Idk 1 just seemed too specific ToT
Blaster
Run/ran
Never
Yessssss. I happen to have all three and... I may just have to give multiples of one or two because I couldn't decide between them.
Blaster
This first one is from a WIP i really want to finish but it has sat in my drafts for over two years now :')
Echo was holding a blaster far too big for him to be holding with one hand while Wrecker lounged back in one of the chairs, tossing what looked to be modified grenades into the detonation zone.
This second one is from a document I have titled The Grief Letters and it is the letters Echo wrote to every one of his loved ones in that one fic I wrote (A Promise Kept) where Echo dies :'( This is from the one he wrote to Crosshair.
I should tell you that it’s okay. That there’s more out there than blaster fire.
Run/Ran (technically it's running but shhhhh)
This one is from an AU I'm writing where somehow both Obi-Wan is a sith and Order 66 gets fixed in the same fic.
There was a third running around somewhere, blond hair and dramatic ARC uniform on full display, but Obi-Wan couldn’t get eyes on him.
Never
This next one is from a later chapter in The World Tumbles Down :') It's about a scar that Rex has on his hand and I'm just crying over it I can't wait until this chapter is in the world.
The story behind it changed each time - fought a wild Gundark, cable broke while scaling, got into a fist fight with Grievous - but it never got old.
This one though! This one is from my next long fic that I'm going to be working on for 2025 (yes I've already started planning I have a spreadsheet and everything shhhhhhh it's fine it's totally fine). It has horror and mystery elements and this is literally all I have written for it currently but this may be what I'm most excited to share. Also this is far more than one sentence because I can't resist sharing the whole thing.
Hunter's chin was tipped upwards with the edge of a knife, blade cutting into his skin. The sting should’ve made him flinch but he held back as a droplet of blood trickled down his neck, tickling across sweat slick skin and settling in the collar of his shirt. A hand tangled itself in the matted mess of hair on his head and yanked him back. The flash of pain radiated from his scalp to his shoulder blade and [unknown character] leaned close to whisper in his ear. Hunter had never wanted to bite someone more in his life.
#the clone wars fanfiction#the bad batch fanfiction#thank you for asking I really liked doing this#I have soooooo much planned for next year#so much#I am very excited to keep writing it's my favorite thing#Unknown Character is their official first and last name rn lol

Back to the beginning
The Bad Batch story begins at the point where the prequel movies end and TCW finishes. Palpatine has risen to power, claimed a palace for himself, and is confident that nothing can stop him now We first see Omega in the scene where Palpatine is giving his address to his new clone slave army in a way that is the exact opposite to the way he appears He's making a virtual appearance, all shadowy and indistinct. A blue flickering holo image of a wrinkled old man shrouded in a cloak and buried in shadows, while Omega is making a personal appearance in a strongly lit blue toned room. She's young and smooth faced and not obscured in any way. She also observes 'her' troops So we're mirroring events once again and Palpatine's rise to power is replayed as Omega's fall from power. She fails to secure her desired 'apprentice', fails to win over the Vader character on the team despite making sure to be there when he regains consciousness, and is then chased from her palace. Later the chip plot is exposed (not that the boys didn't already know about it) and her mini army get their chips removed against her wishes while she can only watch, but the person whose chip goes off and subsequently attacks her only gets stunned instead of killed, unlike poor Fives She wins some small battles by foiling the Batch's plans to work against her behind her back, like in the episode where Echo dresses up as a droid, but overall power just continues to slip from her grasp and there's nothing she can do about it She panics when Hunter is lost, then sabotages Crosshair's plans to get the others to come and help him out with the less obvious subplot that he's been working on all this time, she once more fails to win him over to her side because he has no interest in playing apprentice to her, and by the time S2 starts she's been reduced to trying to offer Hunter gold and jewels while they're on Serenno in a parallel to winning Dooku over with offers of money and glory. Which once more fails to get her the loyalty she desires from him. The main advantage Palpatine ever had was that no one knew that he was the bad guy, but Omega lacks that advantage. They've known what she is and what she's done from before the show started so she was always going to lose Now she's in Tantiss she's further from having any power than she's ever been in her life. Cut off from the outside world and any way of summoning help from her own personal Dooku by the communications blackout and the need to keep the laboratories meticulously clean
She has nothing here, and she's still not going to win over her desired apprentice. All she can do now is maintain her pretence of innocence and try to break out for long enough to call for help before someone with more power than she now has works out what the source of her power is and takes it for themself. And once that happens and things have been publicly exposed she'll be available to get picked up by her long term partner in all of this and and move on to the role she's playing in the Ahsoka show as the Ventress to his Dooku. And this is why we'll be seeing so much of TCW S1 in TBB S3, because we're going back to the start of the prequel era. That means dredging up old characters, referencing old scenes and harking back to old plot points that were dropped in there right from the early days Grievous, Ventress, the Malevolence arc, Wolffe's eye being taken, and so much more So it might be time for a clone wars S1 rewatch if you're feeling up to it, just to refresh your memory In the broader scope of the trilogy of current shows Omega plays out an Anakin like role, but within the Bad Batch show she's nothing more than mirror universe Palpatine

Character's descriptions of the Lego Skywalker Saga game.
Full descriptions here:
Hunter
Hunter is the leader of Clone Force 99, the squadron of clones that developed advantageous mutations during their cloning process. Despite their desirable skills, the squad are often ironically referred to as the "Bad Batch". Hunter's unique mutation lead to the enhancement of all his senses, which make him a keen strategist and effective leader in the field.
Tech
A member of Clone Force 99, commonly known as the "Bad Batch", Tech is an elite soldier that developed beneficial mutations during the cloning process. His heightened cognitive abilities make Tech a gifted engineer and scientist.
He provides the Bad Batch with unique advantages in the field, such as translating alien languages to communicate with locals and gain vital intel. Despite his penchant for technology, Tech is known to be a rather talkative clone.
Wrecker
Wrecker was one of the many clones created for the Grand Army of the Republic, but due to his desirable mutations, he was assigned to Clone Force 99. This unique squad of clones referred to themselves as "The Bad Batch" and each of the members had beneficial mutations that gave them an advantage in the battlefield. Wrecker had developed increased strength and was vastly bigger than regular clones.
Crosshair
The cantankerous clone known as Crosshair is a member of the Clone Force 99, or the "Bad Batch".
His unique genetic mutations have Crosshair exceptional sharpshooting abilities, making him one of the galaxy's most gifted marksmen. The sniper has a reputation of being a rather cynical figure and is often heard disdainfully referring to regular clone troopers as "regs".
Echo
Gravely injured whilst, on Lola Sayu, Echo was captured by Separatists and turned into a cyborg. The injured clone was kept in stasis on Anaxes (Skako minor) unwittingly feeding the Techno Union intel on the Republic. He was eventually rescued by Clone Force 99, who subsequently invited him to join their ranks, as his cybernetic abilities made him a perfect candidate for the squad. With Commander Rex's blessing, Echo accepted the offer and now proudly serves in clone force 99.
Commander Cody
CC-2224, or "Cody", was a Commander in the Clone Army. A master tactician and gifted soldier, Cody not only had the respect of his fellow clone troopers but also the Jedi. He was especially close to Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, whom he accompanied to the Outer Rim in search of General Grievous.
Captain Rex
CT-7567, nicknamed Rex, was a respected leader of the 501st legion of clone troopers and a hero of the Republic Army. An unusually freethinking clone, Rex was a leader who cared much about the clones under his command and became fast friends with both Anakin Skywalker and his apprentice, Ahsoka Tano -completing many successful missions together.

the bad batch season 3
well the fallout show was shit. hopefully the bad batch is better. getting back to Omega who i 100% head cannoned as trans will be nice. last season ended with the death of Tech, but i still call bullshit on that.
episode 01 confined
of course Omega is her usual optimistic self. but did Crosshair lose his sharpshooting ability? that's can't be good for his psyche.
aggressive paragoning. i love it. she's growing into the roll of leader.
she really is the goodest girl.
damn, an entire episode of setting shit up. and showing the the work method of both Omega and the people she's up against, and demonstrating who will win.
also damn i missed that music.
episode 02 paths unknown
this is something you can only do with a big multiseries world like starwars. crossing the pikes means something. you can just say it, tell don't show, but it works because of all the setup for it.
insane number of last seconds, i love it. WAIT?! the carlack pit?!
setting up a clone savehaven. nice ultimate goal for the series.
ep 03 shadow of tantiss
kind of odd general grievous is in the opening considering how he's dead and irrelevant.
damn, are we going to find out what's wrong or right with Omega? i'm still thinking jedi, even if the series has shown no sign of it, it's the only thing that makes sense.
"we were in need of a shuttle, thanks so much for bringing one to us"
is it just that she's a perfect clone? didn't we already know that?
ep 04 a different approach
wait... m count transfer? m for midiglorian? so i was right?!
a confrontation that happened multiple times, finally on the same side again (sort of)
ep 05 the return
i love the Omega Crosshair banter.
time to relive some Crosshair trauma.
ep 06 infiltration
energy crossbow is cool, but i miss the energy bow.
i'm beginning to think Tech may actually be dead. since no one talks about him anymore. they moved on, and that stage of grief is rare if he's alive. but why kill him? too powerful? group too big? i don't understand. especially since he seemed to be in the middle of a romance arc.
well shit. the resistance v0 is about to die a quick death. NO YOU CAN'T END AN EPISODE THERE AT 0.07 FOR ME!!!
ep 07 extraction
you know when clones are around people are going to die.
i love some convincing the enemy to not act simply because it's the right thing.
OH SO HE GETS TO SURVIVE A FALL FROM HIGH!
ep 08 bad territory
they keep mentioning Tech. now in part this makes sense: he was one of the central cast that had a huge impact on every other main character. but on the otherside it gives the vibe that they don't want us to forget the character for one reason or another.
oh love the personal mission Omega gets.
"you don't like anything" "true" such great lines
betrayal? or asking someone to deliver info in person? probably the former.
ep 09 the harbinger
ventras? IT IS! i like her redesign. and i like that she didn't disappear from the universe, as we now see she found a new life.
like how she started not lit, but now is half lit, i wonder if that'll continue.
guys, seriously? stop it.
she and crosshair would be a fun pairing.
but surprisingly few answers for an episode that seems so set up to give answers. it seems to suggest that yes, she is force sensitive, but is lying to her about it. but not quite?
ep 10 identity crisis
is this Omega being in crisis between being a clone and a jedi? also if this is about Omega add it to the pile of Omega is trans.
oh this suddenly feels a lot more star wars rebels, the episode of protecting a kid from the empire going after those force sensitive.
we have seen her softer side, so her getting a higher position is quite positive. wait... that was behind the big ol vault door? also what's "project necromancer" about this?
do, it's not that Omega is force sensitive, but she can replicate it. in the creepiest way she'd the perfect host... the perfect artificial jedi mother.
oh no, not him.
got to love that they made the stormtroopers bulkier to make the clones we've grown to see as friends evil again.
oh. it's just an entirely grim episode. also not about Omega, but about the other female clone, so my trans reading persists (even if it was about hunter it would still persist)
ep 11 point of no return
that title does not instil confidence.
haven't seen Omega's girlfriend in way too long, and that was way too short.
well... fuck. they really just blew up the ship. their home.
oh this is weird. these aren't the new ships. this is the old, the stuff the good guys used to have.
i remember seeing a clone trooper with that big gun and thing "fuck yea big gun" and now it's terrifying. it's so cool how everything transitioned.
well... fuck. everything is awful now. they don't even have a ship to hunt for Omega anymore.
ep 12 juggernaut
they won't have Omega be stuck for 3 episode until the end of the finally... right?
"they'll detect our electronics if we got close" "not if we turn of all electronics" "but... we're flying in the direction of a planet?"
they used to be 5, often 6. now they are 3, and it feels so small for them to be able to do things.
the terrifying thing now is that wrecker can totally be killed. like Omega is save, hunter is the leader which makes him really hard to kill, and crosshair has an arc to complete. but wrecker? he's in the same position as Tech, and well.
also i was fully right on my last hypothesis on Omega
ep 13 into the breach
ok, i Love this Omega. like how her blood can grow with the midiglorians of others she has grown with the power of the team. she's now a leader like hunter, exploring smarts reminiscent of tech, and is likely going to hack into the droid controls like echo can innately. but where will we see wrecker in her?
don't make me hold my breath like that, i only have so much.
ep 14 flash strike
god i love the absolute trust in echo.
half way through, and it's now i learn that this isn't the finally, that's the next one, which doesn't appear to be out yet... fuck
ends in an evil laugh from me.
ep 15 the cavalry has arrived
final episode hype. please let it end on a positive note for once.
50 min episode? that bodes really well. that means they have time for a more complicated story, or a larger victory.
and setting up wrecker for death... please no? longer episode can also mean more complete defeat.
fuck, multiple escape plans at the same time resulting in some failing.
ouch the self condemdantion. and more setting up death with plan 99. "echo's handy work? or Omega?" in unison: "Omega". such good lines. same with Echo's line "because that's exactly what i would have done."
i don't like how calm he is. what is your plan that hasn't been countered? a clone? what could make these clones that good?
oh no. they have their own clone force 99, i guess clone force 100.
god damnit i came to this show to get away from living amputation. i get it, it's star wars. it's tradition at this stage. but still WHY!!!!! (echo may have a spare hand for you to use.)
Echo doesn't argue with Omega not leaving yet.
oh no i know what you're going to do with one of those. and why are you still with the empire. you could have joined the injured and left.
fuck yea Omega will stab a bitch.
the end of this project will mean the start of the death star. but it means clones will probably be left alone. those that are left that is.
the message of the show is that it's good to be able to be whatever you want. with that as message/theme of the show it only makes thematic sense for Omega to be trans and/or lesbian. to go against conventions, to go against what the while old men want you to be.
FUCK YEA ADULT OMEGA!!!
