me, watching Star Trek kill off favorite* characters only for them to bring back the men but almost never the women:
#* for shaw because.....of course he became a favorite#scruffy dark haired white man (most likely cis)...the usual#data gets brought back again and again but tasha yar STAYS in the dirt#shaw - most likely - to come back as a hologram vs. shelby staying dead#and yes i know matalas said he wanted her to survive but i do not trust him and he WILL go back on his word#also picard vs the borg this picard vs the borg that#no mention - even by the queen (prime directive nonsense blah blah) - of admiral janeways sacrifice#and that whole fucking scene plays it off like the borg are so weakened BECAUSE OF PICARD#fucking die.
