the house looks so different now it’s so pretty but I can’t help but think
the house is covered now in the colors of nolan’s omniman costume with the pale greyish-blue and red tones. i have never seen a character haunt the narrative as much as that man

Pierce and I part 7
Tumblr media
Ahh, we’re getting closer to he wedding! And as you can see I face cast Darcy. Just imagine her with blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes. Those poor school boys didn’t stand a chance. Even their parents are like...yeah, I get it, come on, let’s go get some beads.
@royale-skeleton-key enjoy!
Pierce and I- Part 7
The first night that Pierce was officially moving in, you and Darcy set something special up for him and had your first ‘family meeting’ together and had Pierce take the ‘Daddy Oath’ which he swore on Darcy’s favorite My Little Pony book in place of the holy book to swear on. But you had the original Metal Gear Solid game play book that Jimmy had and that Pierce nearly drooled over when he saw it put under that so that he was swearing on two ‘holy books’. When Jimmy was alive and Darcy was old enough to understand, Jimmy had made her an oath like promise and when he died, you took on this oath and now that Pierce was part of your family, it was his turn to take up the mantle of the oath. You and Darcy had worked together and typed out an actual oath ‘agreement’ that you would recite and Pierce would repeat before solemnly swearing and then sign and that it would be put with the marriage certificate when you and Pierce would get married and if Darcy was ever open to Pierce adopting her, it would go with that too.
“Ok, raise your right hand and put your left hand on the “holy books”.” You instructed as Darcy held out the stack of books for Pierce to swear on.
“Pierce Khan Chassaran of the Gifted Titan Clan of the Chass family line. Do you so solemnly swear and take the “Daddy Oath”?” You began.
“Yes,” Pierce affirmed.
“Ok, repeat after me, I Pierce Khan Chassaran.” You began.
“I Pierce Khan Chassaran.” Pierce repeated.
“Of the Gifted Titan Clan, from the Chass family line.” You continued.
“Of the Gifted Titan Clan, from the Chass family line.” Pierce repeated.
“Do solemnly swear as Father, Dad, Daddy, Papa or any other title or term of endearment including my name given to me by Darcy Lillian.” You prompted.
“Do solemnly swear as Father, Dad, Daddy, Papa or any other title or term of endearment including my name given by Darcy Lillian.” Pierce repeated again.
“Do take up this mantle of responsibility.” You urged.
“Do take up this mantle of responsibility.” Pierce echoed.
“Happily, willingly, wholly, completely and in all seriousness.” You prompted.
“Happily, willingly, wholly, completely and in all seriousness.” Pierce smiled happily.
“To protect Darcy from all danger you possibly can, including the bogeyman and the monster under her bed and in her closet.”  You did your best not to giggle because Darcy insisted on this and you could tell Pierce was trying his best not to laugh either.
“To protect Darcy from all danger I possibly can, including the bogeyman, the monster under her bed, in her closet and even anything that goes bump in the night.” Pierce added which got Darcy and yourself to both ‘ooh’ in delight as you got a pen and added that into the oath.
“To always, always, always take care of Darcy.” You stipulated.
“To always, always, always take care of Darcy.” Pierce swore as he made sure he stared right at Darcy and maintained eye contact.
“To always, always, always love her as your own daughter.” You continued.
“To always, always, always love you as my own daughter.” Pierce swore to Darcy.
“To always, always, always treat Darcy Lillian with love, kindness, gentleness, respect and dignity.” You specified.
“To always, always, always treat Darcy Lillian with love, kindness, gentleness, respect and dignity and same to you to Mommy.” Pierce repeated, keeping eye contact with Darcy before addressing you too.
“To never lash out in anger at her, to never loose your temper with her, to never take out anger or frustration or irritation on her.” You insisted and it broke Pierce’s heart to be saying this but at the same time, he needed to.
“To never, ever, ever, lash out in anger at you or your mom, to never, ever, ever loose my temper with either your or your mother, to never take out my anger, frustration or irritation on either you or your mother. To always use self control in all things.” Pierce swore and both Darcy and yourself smiled in relief.
“To never drink alcoholic beverages to the point of intoxication or drunkenness.” You specified.
“To never drink alcoholic beverages to the point of intoxication or drunkenness.” Pierce repeated firmly.
“To never smoke, vape, or do any drugs or abuse even prescription drugs either.” You continued.
“To never smoke, vape or do any drugs or even abuse prescription drugs either.” Pierce repeated because that was something that both of you had been so relieved neither of you did and wouldn’t start doing either.
“To never gamble or bring anyone into the house that would ever do us harm or make us uncomfortable in any way, no matter how close of a friend they are to you that when we tell you, they make us uncomfortable, you’ll believe us and take action accordingly.” You insisted and Pierce wanted to start stomping over Jimmy’s grave because Jimmy’s close friends were both Jared and Danny and Danny had given you rapey vibes for years and you put up with it because Jimmy refused to cut ties with Danny and he was the head of the household and demanded you respect that decision and Pierce had always sworn to you that he would always keep you safe from predators like that.
“To never gamble or bring anyone into the house that would ever do either of you harm or make either of you uncomfortable in any way shape or form and if anyone in my friend circle or family does, please tell me immediately so I can take action immediately and make sure they stay very very far away from you and I will always believe you and put your feelings and welfare ahead and above mine.” Pierce swore.
“Ok, that’s it for the yucky stuff, now for the fun stuff.” You hinted as you got to page two.
“To take Darcy with you hunting at least once a year and go fishing with her at least once a year.” You stipulated.
“To take Darcy with me when I hunt and fish, at least twice a year.” Pierce beamed proudly which got Darcy to squeal and giggle in delight.
“To take Darcy to the pool and to the playground regularly and go to Cedar Point at least once during the summer and take her to the movies and have Daddy- Daughter days.” You stipulated and grinned at Darcy’s personal request.
“To take Darcy to the pool and the playground and even McDonald's regularly so she can play and to Cedar Point at least once a year as well as Kings Island because we have to ride all the new rides every year. Duh.” Pierce repeated as if it was an absolute given which got all of you to giggle.
“And lastly, always do your best to uphold this oath.” This part you and Darcy say together.
“And I will always do my best in everything, especially upholding this oath.” Pierce grinned and the three of you celebrated being a family in the best way, by having a campfire in the back yard and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows for smores.
Only a few weeks after Pierce moved in, you took your parents and all your sisters and your best friend and all the women in Pierce’s family wedding dress shopping at Kleinfelds, which had always been a dream of yours. Your own wedding to Jimmy had been on a shoe string budget and while your dress was custom made for you by a friend of the family, her work on it being her wedding gift, all you had to do was buy the fabric which was still over a hundred dollars, but it had been excruciatingly simple and not what you really wanted at all but you were poor and had no other options at the time because of an injury your father had sustained that led to him selling the business and shortly after, having to declare bankruptcy. But now, things were different, you could buy any dress in the store, you could even have a custom gown made just for you if you wanted. And you were going to go all out on yourself. You really had your heart set on a gown by a Russian dress designer and you had even called ahead to make sure they had it in the store so you could try it on and requested it for your appointment and your favorite consultant Debbie. Pierce had not given you a price limit for this visit because he didn’t want anything out of your reach and trusted you to get the dress of your dreams and it worked out because he had a gaming tournament he was doing at home and you had made sure he had every conceivable snack and junk food stacked in the office for his ease of use which he thought was the sweetest most wonderful thing ever and even bragged and boasted on his headset with his playing buddies about it and he was the envy of the team after he came home from driving you to the airport.
But meanwhile back at the bridal salon...
“Hi, I’m Debbie, where is my bride?” Debbie greeted the group before you raised your hand.
“Hi, I’m Richelle Brianna, Brie for short,” You introduced yourself before you introduced your family and Pierce’s family.
“So what are you looking for Brie?” Debbie asked.
“Big, bold, beautiful diva, princess ball gown. I want to try on the Olga Malyarova princess gown with all the bling and the flowers.” You immediately answered.
“Oh absolutely, that will look gorgeous on you.” Debbie reassured. “Otherwise is there a price point we’re comfortable staying with?” Debbie asked.
“Nope, not at all since I’m buying the dress and everything with it.” You beamed happily.
“Well ok then.” Debbie giggled. “Lets go get you in that dress.” Debbie invited as you got up and went with her to her dressing room.
“So tell me about your fiance.” Debbie invited.
“My fiance’s name is Pierce and he’s a video game developer. He’s 25 and a whole eight years younger than me, so I feel like a proper cougar.” You giggled as your cheeks stained cherry. “And we met at his nephew’s birthday party, every Friday I always took my daughter to the same recreational center and he spotted me on the go kart track with my daughter and he caught my eye and winked and I nearly crashed because he was the hottest, most handsome guy I had ever seen in my life and then he bought me an extra race and he and his nephew raced with me and my daughter in the two seater go karts and while I didn’t win the race, I did beat him over the line and he took the loss like a champ and with grace and had really good sportsmanlike conduct which was a very good sign. And then when I heated up my leftovers, the smell of my food drew him in and when he saw I had a tray of brownies he worked up the courage to ask for one and then he sat down and we talked and we ended up both eating my left overs which he really, really enjoyed and we talked all night and by the end of the night he asked me out and I said yes and we’ve been going steady ever since and we were trying to go slow for Darcy’s sake but she’s been amazing and really welcoming because he makes me so happy and he’s been perfect and amazing with her and we’re building a custom house together and he helped her design her own room with it’s own secret play room that’s really fun. It’s a classic love at first sight but this was also a case at love at first bite too.” You laughed with Debbie as she cracked up at the pun as you showed her pictures of Pierce, Darcy and yourself.
“Aww, and that’s really awesome that you found such a great guy who is so good with your daughter, oh look at them sleeping on the couch together, all cuddled up with the bowl of popcorn, oh that’s just precious.” Debbie fawned. “Well let me go get that gown for you and we’ll get rolling.” Debbie assured you as she left and got it from a nearby rack and once she returned you were already undressed and in a special soft corset you had bought to help with this process so you felt you had a waist and your shoes that you had already bought when you were finally in the dress of your dreams, you started crying. You felt like a beautiful bride in this dress, you could envision yourself walking down the aisle in this dress and you could see Pierce getting chocked up seeing you in this too. You loved it. It was perfect, you didn’t want any other dress, this was your dress.
“I love this, this is everything I could ever want in a wedding dress.” You said as you used a tissue to wipe up your tears of happiness.
“Good! That’s great! You look so happy in this dress too.” Debbie cooed to you.
“I feel so happy in this dress, I feel beautiful, I feel like a beautiful bride and this is perfect.” You giggled. “Can we go get the veil, I want to go out in the veil too. I think that will help win everyone over too.” You urged before she left and got the veil and when you put that on. It was magic. It was perfect and you strut out of that dressing room towards your family.
“Oooh! Sexy mama!” Blossom hollered as you beamed proudly at her as you walked up onto the pedestal as Debbie fluffed out the long gorgeous train and you let them all look at it and take it in before you turned and lifted your veil and smiled so brightly it shamed the sun itself.
“Wow!” Everyone exclaimed when they saw it and saw you in this most magnificent wedding dress they had ever seen as your mom was sobbing tears of happiness to see you so happy.
“Do you like the dress Darcy?” You asked your daughter who looked like she was about to burst with happiness.
“I love it! It’s perfect Mom! You look so beautiful!” Darcy cooed happily.
“I agree, it’s perfect, I love it too.” You beamed happily. “What do you guys think?” You asked everyone else.
“I agree with Darcy. It’s amazing. And it’s exactly what you asked for, big diva princess ball gown.” Dura laughed as she wiped away her tears, her brother was one lucky son of a gun he was going to burst into tears when he saw you walk down the aisle in it.
“It’s perfect Brie, it’s so you!” Tessa exclaimed happily.
“It’s beautiful Brie, how much is it?” Your mother asked.
“Well within my budget, don’t worry about how much it is. I just want you to like it.” You gently dismissed.
“I think it’s amazing.” Belladonna beamed back at you.
“It is so you. That’s a Brie dress if I ever saw one.” Bianca giggled as she tried to casually wipe her stray tear away.
“I agree, this dress is you personified.” Blossom laughed as she sat on the other side of Darcy.
“Bula? What do you think?” You asked as Bula was in a similar state your mother was in and wiping her eyes.
“I think it’s one of the most beautiful wedding dress I’ve ever seen.” Bula admitted. “It’s perfect for you, and the veil is just...gorgeous, it’s all gorgeous. Pierce is gonna faint.” Bula laughed through her own tears as her daughters hugged her.
“So are you saying yes to the dress?” Debbie asked.
“Oh I’m saying hell yes to this dress.” You cackled as everyone cheered.
“So, seriously how much is that dress?” Pritha pressed. “Like how much of your wedding budget is gonna get eaten by this dress?” Pritha insisted as Dura, Shagar and Bula all rolled their eyes.
“You really don’t have to answer that.” Bula insisted. “Because it’s none of your business, unless you’re contributing to the cause you don’t have much of a say so Prissy.” Bula chastised her daughter who glared at her mother, hating that nickname.
“It’s six thousand dollars and it’s well within the budget allotted for it.” You finally answered her a little defiantly.
“Six grand?!” Pritha and your mother parrot in surprise.
“Yeah, and my other favorite dresses are Pnina Tornai’s and 10 to 15 grand. This one just happens to be my all time favorite.” You returned.
“Good heavens.” Your mother almost groaned.
“Mom, like I said, it’s well within my budget and my means and I’m making this investment and this is exactly what I want and everything I want. That being said I would really like to try on a blush reception dress.” You insisted before you tried on several of those before you found one you loved and got that too.
“Now, Little Lady Darcy, let me get out of this and then we’ll look for your dress.” You urged before you got off the pedestal and went back to the dressing room to get out of it. Before you were measured properly to make sure the dress would be made to fit you perfectly and once you ordered it and paid for it and got it super rushed because you and Pierce were getting married that fall, you went down to the flower girl dresses and it was Darcy’s turn to try on dresses and she spent two hours trying on almost every dress they had before she picked two, one for the ceremony and one for the reception and then you went to the brides maids department and had all your sisters, your BFF, who Blossom, Tessa and Dura were all your maids of honor and Pierce’s sisters and sister in law try on brides maids dresses since they were all your brides maids as you got Bula and your mother really gorgeous dresses too.
“Well with a budget like yours I’m assuming you’re getting all these dresses too?” Pritha presumed as she gestured to her deep royal blue gown.
“You don’t need to, we can get our own dresses.” Dura tried to argue as she adjusted her boobs in her own bridesmaid dress.
“Oh but I want to, it’s in the budget too. I don’t want to put anyone out.” You reassured Dura.
“I don’t look great in blue.” Prissy huffed as she appraised herself in the mirror.
“Well thank you for making the personal sacrifice for my sake or if you really detest it, you don’t have to be a bride’s maid.” You smiled as if ‘fuck you’ was written on your teeth and Bula, Dura and Shagar were ready to kiss you as Dura and Shagar actually did kiss your cheeks.
“That’s my girl.” Bula cooed to you before she addressed Pritha. “I think you look just fine Pritha, quit being so prissy.” Bula chided.
“I think I look great, I love the color actually.” Shagar beamed with a wink to you which made you beam a smile back at her.
“I agree, you look ravishing darling.” You cooed in your best transatlantic accent which got everyone to giggle.
Once you got all the dresses ordered and everything squared away, finally you got to take everyone out to dinner and stayed at a really nice hotel for the night before you flew back home in the morning.
Once you got home you were grateful to come home to Pierce waiting for you, a fresh bouquet of flowers in hand and a big beaming smile as Darcy left the group and went running into his open waiting arms as he picked her up and hugged her tight.
“Welcome back,” Pierce greeted you and you could tell he didn’t even bother shaving while you were gone and you didn’t realize how good he could look with a little stubble.
“Did you find the dress of your dreams Sweetie?” Pierce asked Darcy.
“I got two!” Darcy announced excitedly. “I got a dress for the ceremony and a dress for the reception.” Darcy explained as she hung onto Pierce happily, being so happy that Pierce was strong enough to pick her up like this.
“Oh wow, I’ll bet you looked beautiful in them too.” Pierce cooed.
“I did and Mom got me two tiaras! One for each dress!” Darcy cheered.
“Wow.” Pierce nodded as he gave you a scheming smile.
“And what about you Mom? Did you get two dresses too?” Pierce asked as he held Darcy up with one arm and wrapped the other around you.
“I did. You’re gonna love them.” You beamed before you went and got your baggage and went home.
“So how was New York?” Pierce asked as he held your hand and drove home.
“It was great, your sister Pritha though...” You began with a tired sigh before Pierce groaned as his shoulders sagged.
“Oh god, what did she say now?” Pierce asked as his face became pained.
“She was just being nosey, demanded to know how much my dress cost and what our wedding budget was and how much budget the dress took up and once she found out how much the dress was because I refused to tell her anything else and I insisted it was in the budget she suddenly assumed my pockets were insanely deep and wanted her own dress to be just as extravagant as mine and blah blah blah.” You waived off. “It’s fine, it’s nothing compared to my last mother in law because your mother was actually amazing and wonderful and I bought her dress and my mother’s dresses too and Dura and Shagar were awesome as always. So there’s always one difficult person in every family.” You phrased delicately which got Pierce to crack a grin because he knew how you didn’t like to cuss in front of Darcy.
“Well thank you for putting up with her anyway,” Pierce thanked you graciously as he kissed the back of your hand sweetly before Darcy went on and on about the trip to New York and once you got home Darcy announced she was going to play outside and promptly did.
“Ok, have fun, be safe.” Pierce and yourself bid her and she wasn’t out of the car but a second before  Pierce parked in the garage, came around the car picked you up over his shoulder and carried you off to the bedroom, with you cackling the whole way because you were gone for two days and he didn’t bother to please himself, knowing you’d want to jump his bones the moment you got back before he threw you onto the bed, your whole body bouncing off the bed as you dissolved into a puddle of giggles before Pierce locked the door and practically stripped you out of your clothes as you did the same and you felt like he devoured you whole, which you absolutely loved. Pierce could always make you feel like you were the most desirable woman ever and making love to him was always a delight rather than a chore and you didn’t have to fake anything with him for fear of hurting his feelings. It was perfect.
A couple of weeks later was the first day of school at Darcy’s new school and you all had gone there ahead of time and met her teacher who was going to be Bro’s teacher too and most of his friends got into the same class too so that Darcy already had friends she knew already which helped her feel much more at ease about it and got supplies for the classroom and it was great. So you all got up extra early and once Darcy was showered and dressed, Pierce braided her hair in the most outrageously beautiful braids you had ever seen before and you couldn’t help but grin as you realized they were fit for a Khaleesi. Pierce put all the beads he had gotten for her in her hair in such a spectacular way to really show them off as you cooked breakfast for your family and once you guys ate, Pierce drove the three of you to school for her first day of school. Pierce had gone bananas going back to school shopping with Darcy and had gotten her everything she could ever possibly want or need, including a brand new wardrobe and even her own little laptop that he set up for her on her desk and the three of you walked her into the school where Bro already was there, eagerly waiting to show Darcy off as his new cousin and best friend and Pierce caught him almost trying to introduce her as his girlfriend too and had to give him a look to keep him from doing so. Dating was actually something you had all talked about and discussed and you had told Darcy not to date in school, in elementary school and middle school especially which was something Pierce was grateful and relieved to hear and backed you up on and as Pierce expected, nearly all of Bro’s friends thought you were just beautiful woman they had ever seen and they looked up at you adoringly and at your beads in sheer amazement and wonder and even thought Darcy’s beads were the most amazing and epic beads too and you could tell most of them instantly had crushes on Darcy too.
When you picked Darcy up from school she was so happy, she was friends with everyone in class, especially the boys and the next day, Darcy came home with her back pack being heavier than usual and when you went to do her homework with her, you found nine small bags from the bead store in her in her back pack.
“Darcy? Where did all these come from?” You asked her.
“Some of the boys in my class gave me presents today!” Darcy beamed happily before she went through them all and you simply sat there in shock and amazement before dread filled you and texted Pierce with a picture of Darcy holding the bags and you asked Pierce to please have a talk with Darcy and explain what’s going on when he got home which he agreed to before you called Dura.
“Hey,” Dura greeted as she and Bro shopped at the bead store, figuring you and Darcy’s ears were burning from knowing they were talking about you.
“Hey, I need help,” You laughed nervously as you left Darcy’s room so that she could do her homework in peace and went to the kitchen to have this conversation.
“With what?” Dura asked.
“Uh, an orc thing?” You winced. “Darcy came home with nine bags of beads from the bead store from other boys in her class giving her beads and she thinks they’re just being nice and they’re just presents and I know that’s not the case and I am at a loss as to what to do or how to handle it.” You explained.
“Holy shit, nine?” Dura gasped in astonishment.
“Yeah, nine, what in the world is going on?” You pleaded desperately.
“Ok so what you may not know is most orc boys tend to get crushes and fall in love really early. Like really really early compared to humans, because way back in the day, when we were warriors, our life expectancy was really low, most orcs fell in love and got married between 8 and 10 because orc girls start menstrating at 7 and by 12 they were considered adults and were already fighting wars and battles and by 15-17 they were considered middle aged and by 21 they were old and usually most didn’t live past 25-30.” Dura explained.
“Holy shit.” You breathed as your eyes went wide. “Well human girls are way different, we don’t get our periods until 10-12 usually and our bodies don’t fully develop or mature until our late teens and even when we turn 20, and getting pregnant while we’re still teenagers is very dangerous and hard on us, Darcy can’t...” You began to fret.
“I know, I know, I’ve been trying to explain that to Bro but you gotta understand that at this school, full humans aren’t exactly common and Bro tells me that Darcy is the prettiest girl in class, prettiest girl in the grade even and she’s getting chased pretty hard already so Pierce and yourself need to warn her and prepare her for that. Thankfully Bro’s been telling me that he and his friends have been taking care of her and making sure everyone keeps their hands off of her and they keep their respectful distance but yeah, a few of those bags are from his friends too and guess where we’re at right now? Because Bro is competitive and he’s crushing on her too and he has to get her the most beads and is using all of his allowance money to get her beads too.” Dura confessed.
“Aww, he doesn’t have to get her anything, really, she’s not actually dating them all by accepting all the beads is she?” You asked worriedly.
“No, she’s not dating any of them until she starts wearing some of their personal beads, every boy in school could give her beads and she could wear them and be fine. It’s when the boys start putting their stacks of beads from their own hair in front of her and she picks her favorite and wears that one that she’s considered dating.” Dura explained.
“Oh, can you ask Bro if that’s happened to her yet?” You proposed.
“I already did and so far that hasn’t happened, everyone is still in the ‘getting to know her and showing off for her stage’ so they’ll all try to pick each other up in front of her to show off how strong they are or show off the beads that are already in their hair to see which ones she’s drawn to or they’ll flex for her. Like flex- literally and figuratively. If Darcy could please take an interest in their grades so they try to get some learning done and get good grades, that would be very much appreciated.” Dura snickered as you did the same.
“I’ll see what I can do.” You giggled.
“So it’ll be ok, when I see her Friday at the Rex Plex, I’ll have a talk with her too.” Dura offered.
“Oh good, thank you so much. I’ll see you then.” You thanked her earnestly before you started making dinner.
When Pierce got home he spent well over an hour explaining the culture and the traditions behind the beads and talked about how Darcy should show discernment and went over what each bead means and showed her the online catalogs and even ordered a few of them for her so she could use those as references and really did amazing with arming her with knowledge and explaining everything so that she really understood it and even warned her about how there were beads about fighting or being fierce and that those beads while really cool among boys, could mean that they could hurt her or be fierce towards her and could mean they didn’t control their temper well and to not let anyone bully her or push her to accept them out of fear. That she was the one in control of her, not of anyone else and encouraged her to be very vocal because some orcs weren’t good at reading her facial expressions or body language so she had to communicate clearly what she wanted or needed and to not hesitate to find a teacher or an aid for help and you were so proud of him for being so patient with her and taking his time and putting forth so much effort with her. He was being such a great father.
