your lips on mine.
summary: the queen has asked for you.
parings: rhaenyra Targaryen x Reader
word count: 1k.
Trigger warnings: fluff, sexual tension, a lot of tension, gay tension, kissing, soft rhaenyra, slight angst if you squint.
Tumblr media
Living on Dragonstone has been rather interesting. Well, not much exciting happens everyday, you do miss king's landing, mostly because it was your home for the longest time, it held so many memories, but anywhere the queen went, you happily followed like an obedient dog.
She doesn’t even need a leash for you. One look and you're all hers. And she knows that.
As of late, you couldn’t help but notice there's been a distance between you and your queen. You know she’s busy running things, there’s a war coming, and happening at the same time. It seems it’ll never end.
You were the queen's guard, with many dirty secrets that could definitely get you killed.
But you wouldn’t mind that. Since your first time was with her, rhaenyra targaryen, the woman you love, who you’d die for, nothing beats that.
Maybe her best friend might be in the mix.
You’ll do anything for your queen.
Tonight you would have been doing your usual duties as the queens guard, and yet you find yourself in your room, waiting for an order. rhaenyra herself commanded you to stay in your room for the night, you were confused, slightly hurt, wondering what you did wrong, nothing came to mind. You would know if you had hurt her, said something bad, it would have haunted you.
You were always supposed to remain by her side.
Now you find yourself alone.
You didn’t like it.
There was a knock at your door, startling you away from your thoughts as you got up, you walked towards the door and opened it.
One of the queen's handmaidens was there.
“The queen has asked for you in her bed chambers.”
Oh, has she now?
You wanted to smile, but you needed to look professional in front of everyone, so they don’t suspect anything.
Though you weren’t going to be surprised if there were whispers around the place. Someone was always talking, they should be glad the queen or you haven’t found them.
The queen doesn’t tolerate that.
You headed your way through the halls to where the queens rested, wondering why she’s called now, not before, you weren’t complaining, by the gods did you miss her.
Making it to her door, breathing softly, trying to keep it together, as you closed your eyes, bringing your fist up to knock.
“Come in” you hear her sweet honey-eyed voice call out to you, she sounded beautiful like an angel, she was a goddess, fallen to this earth wearing the title queen as she rightfully should.
You went inside her chambers, it was warm, a fire was lit, there was a nice scent that flowed in her room, welcoming you, lavender and vanilla, you’ve been in many presence of royal, princesses, prince, whomever it may be, but none smelled quiet like rhaenyra.
And there she was, never failing to make you breathless, rhaenyra stood from her seat, there was a slight frown in her brow, causing concern to wash over you. You always worried for your queen, tonight there was something different in the air.
“My queen?” you spoke, your voice soft, not the usual strictness you were tired of showing to everyone else for formalities as a knight.
At least you got to breathe a little around her.
She hadn’t replied yet, you noticed she was fidgeting with her fingers together, a thing she does when she’s bothered by something, she was stuck in deep thought, you could see it on her face.
You stepped closer, the sound of the fire crackling breaking through the silence.
Your hand reached out, touching her face, she didn’t back away, you caressed her cheek.
“My love, what haunts you?” you asked, “we don’t have to talk if you don’t want to, but if you do wish to, I’ll be here to listen. Always.”
She smiled, staring up at you.
“I’ve realised i've been disregarding you” she said, you couldn’t help but frown, did she notice how upset you’ve been not always being with her?.
“It's fine, my queen” you chuckled nervously, your cheeks heating up. “You’re very busy and needed, there's a lot happening, I’m not as important-”
She placed a finger on your lips to stop you from rambling anymore.
“Don’t you ever talk to yourself like that, ever. You are important, especially to me” she spoke with such fire, you could feel your eyes welling up with tears, but you didn’t cry.
“Thank you, my queen.”
“Why are you thanking me?” she asked with an amused smile.
“Why shouldn’t I?” you say, smiling back at her.
Then she laughed, it made your heart flutter, it’s been a while since you heard her laugh, god, it was a wonderful sound, no music could ever sound as mesmerising as her.
“It's good to hear you laugh again, my queen.”
She blushes red, like she’s been caught.
“You never fail to cheer me up, my darling.”
It was like your heart came to a stop. It's been a while since she’s called you that, now you were a flustered mess, when were you not around her?. You found yourself staring at the floor, you looked up, feeling her fingers holding your chin, to make you look in her eyes, your breath hitched, you felt like you were on fire, maybe it was just the fireplace that happened to be on, no, it was just her.
She leaned in, you were never the one to pull away from her, always leaning into her, wanting to feel her all over you, her hand was placed on your neck, the other hand caressing your face. Her lips met yours, you kissed back, hungry for more, your heart felt like it was going to rip out of your chest, you wouldn’t mind dying right now.
For now though, you just wanted to enjoy the taste of her lips on yours.

Healing one cut at a time
Summary : Clarisse first goes to the med bay because she is forced by one of her siblings but the following times are just to see the daughter of Apollo again.
Requests are open!

“I told you; I am fine!”, you can hear someone grumble from behind you but you turn back to the twelve-year-old girl in front of you that had fallen and twisted her ankle.
“And I am telling you that you should just go to make sure it is fine,” as you turn around to find what the squabbling is all about, you find Clarisse and one of her brothers glaring at each other.
You couldn’t help but swallow hard at the sight of Clarisse, she had her hair down after capture the flag, and somehow still looked beautiful after running around for three hours.
Clearing your throat, you smiled awkwardly at the two Ares children who looked surprised at your sudden appearance.
“How can I help you?”, you ask softly, after a few seconds of awkward silence. Clarisse seems struck as she watches you with wide eyes, her brother has a smirk as he turns back to you.
“Right, this one was hurt during capture the flag and although it doesn’t look too bad, we just wanted to be sure.”, he says, and you can see Clarisse coming back to herself at her brother’s words.
“You wanted to be sure,” she says with a scowl on her lips, and even then, you can’t stop thinking that she looks stunning.
“Well let’s just make sure, we never know,” you tell them before nodding towards the small bed in the corner.
She doesn’t look so hurt, so you’re surprised to see a cut in her leg, probably done by a sword but she doesn’t look affected at all.
“The good news is that it doesn’t look too deep so I just need to disinfect it and it will be all new after that,” you tell the two as you look over the cut.
As you look up from the wound you see a wide-eyed Clarisse staring back at you, rosy cheeks and owlish brown eyes making your stomach flutter.
“Great!”, you hear suddenly as her brother claps in his hands making the both of you jump in surprise.
“I’ll go get the product.”, you quickly whisper, feeling slightly embarrassed at having been caught looking at the girl.
You can hear the both of them arguing, particularly Clarisse scowling her brother, while he seems far too happy to be in the med bay.
“Someone needs to push you,” you hear him say before you arrive and the both of them turn to you, their conversation suddenly over.
“Hope I’m not interrupting,” you can’t help but say and the both of them shake their heads in disagreement.
“You didn’t!”, her brother says, and you nod slowly before taking the product and softly taking Clarisse leg in your hand.
“This might hurt a little,” you warn her even though you know that the girl will probably not show any type of weakness.
You whisper a few words under your breath as you pass the product on her cut and after a moment it starts healing itself.
“There you go, all new,” you say, and Clarisse seems a bit disappointed at the sight.
“Right, thank you I guess.”, she says after clearing her throat.
“Thank you for the help! We better get going,” he says before taking Clarisse with him, the girl looking back one last time with a timid smile, one that you would’ve never thought you would see Clarisse wearing.
--
She was being stupid, she knew it, hell her whole cabin knew it too, but she just couldn’t stop going to see you at the med bay. She would use every excuse possible, hoping to catch a glimpse of you and you sweet smile.
“Clarisse, what happened this time?”, she hears you ask, your voice like music to her ears.
“My idiot of a brother didn’t watch where he was throwing his arrow,” she says, feeling slightly ashamed of the fact that she had been here every day until you smile at her warmly.
“Come sit down, I’ll look over it,” she does as is said and can’t help but feel a little excited at the prospect of you taking care of her.
She didn’t want to feel weak, and the way she felt weak at your touch made her scared, but she couldn’t help coming back and having your whole attention solely focused on her. Her father would probably be telling her that she was weak but when you would talk with her softly, as to not disturb the sleeping children, she couldn’t help but forget all about him.
“You’re beautiful,” she realizes she has said the words before she can think not to say them. There is a loud silence, as you look at her slightly in shock, like a fish out of water.
You open your mouth to say something but before she let’s you have the opportunity to respond she fled the scene. Her face is hot with shame and embarrassment at her slip up, already making a plan at how to best escape the situation, and you specifically. That is until she feels a hand on her arm, making her turn around to face you.
You look slightly breathless from having ran after her, but you still look as beautiful as the first day she had seen you. She had fallen for you the moment she saw you; her siblings had quickly caught onto her crush and as much as they teased her, they would often tell her in the quiet of the night that she should go for it, go for the little sunshine that she could have.
“You often leave a conversation without letting the other person answer?”, she hears you say, making her look at you in surprise.
“Guess I didn’t know how you would react,” she can’t help but say as she looks into your sad eyes.
“Well, maybe if you had stayed a bit longer you could have heard my response,” you say with a soft smile.
“What is that?”, the curiosity is killing her, but she also feels scared for the first time in a long time.
“That I think that you are beautiful, probably a thousand more times than me,” she hears you say, and she suddenly feels breathless at your words but can’t help but disagree with a scoff.
“Please, you are the most beautiful woman, even Aphrodite herself would be jealous of your beauty,” the words are filled with passion, a passion that she usually only held for fighting and capture the flag. The surprise in your eyes make her feel suddenly shy, but as you get closer to her, she gets a whiff of your perfume making her relax slightly.
“That is probably not true but thank you,” you whisper, now closer to her than you have been before, but she still scoffs as she hears you disagree with her previous statement.
She gets ready to argue but before she can start, she feels your lips against hers, and for a moment she can’t think. Her stomach is bursting with butterflies and the smell of you is all around her.
Just as she feels you stopping the kiss, she wraps her hands around your cheeks, bringing you into a passionate kiss, hoping to make you understand everything she feels for you.
“You drive me crazy, sunshine,” she whispers, breathless, after the most dizzying kiss and she wants to kiss you again until she has no air in her lungs.
Your small giggle makes her smile and peck your lips softly.
“Who knew you could be so sweet La Rue,” she hears you whisper teasingly against her lips, and she can’t help but roll her eyes at your words.
“Only for you. Better keep this to yourself because it could ruin my reputation,” she says, a small warning in her voice but you just nod in agreement.
“We should go back to the med bay to look at that cut of yours,” she hears you say, a worried tone coating your words.
“Don’t worry beautiful, I’m fine. The only thing I need right know is you close to me and kisses,” she says as she brings you even closer by the waist, with a smirk as she sees you blushing.
“That can be arranged,” you whisper against her lips before she brings you back into another mind-blowing kiss.

Sigh....Galemancers really love to move the goal post when it comes to the grooming accusations huh? You found out Gale was a fully grown MAN when Mystra slept with him so now you have to say, "Well then he was emotionally groomed and the power dynamic is too vast." Mystra is a neutral good goddess because she's Midnight, who was a neutral good human. She hates that her magic has to be used for good and evil. Ao makes her share it evenly but she'd rather not. She would never do anything to hurt Gale. The writers of the game even confirmed she's not a groomer. People like you also downplay the point of Gale's entire story arc, which is he should've listened to Mystra! The whole point of his personal quest is he needs to learn to humble himself and listen to his goddess! He has no one to blame for his downfall but himself.
Tumblr media
There's no "post" to move, anon. The game and lore give us all the context we need. Grooming doesn't only apply to children, and people have proven right and left that Mystra is terrible at relationships. She's petty and abusive when she isn't obeyed by her partners, and that's been the case with all of her iterations. Even the narrator describes her as a "jealous goddess" when you visit her shrine. Plus, your information is wrong on many accounts; the most pertinent being that the Mystra of BG3/5E isn't technically Midnight. Cyric and Shar killed her, reducing her to her godly essence (lore-wise that means she died). The current Mystra is an amalgamation of the vestiges of Mystryl, Mystra, and Midnight, as told in the novel Elminster Enraged.
Now, this is about to get complicated, as it always does with Mystra, so from here on out I'll be referring to Mystra #1 as Mystryl, Mystra #2 as Mystra #2, Mystra #3 as Midnight, and Mystra #4 as 5E Mystra. Alright, let's get started.
Tumblr media
Elminster had to reform the fallen goddess by giving her fragments of all three iterations of Mystra. Since all three iterations are combined, our current 5E Mystra embodies the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly. There's even a conversation with The Simbul (one of the Seven Sisters and a Chosen of Mystra) where the newly reformed 5E Mystra speaks of Elminster as her "longest lover". This puzzles The Simbul because that was something of the old Mystra (Mystra #2), not Midnight. The new 5E Mystra replies that she has become a combination of the memories of Mystryl, Mystra #2, and Midnight. This is all in chapter 25-30 of Elminster Enraged. I know it's confusing, but in short: 5E Mystra is not Midnight anymore, and the leading mind is clearly that of Mystra #2, hence her extremely poor judgement—a recurring theme with her character.
Tumblr media
Mystryl and Mystra #2 were originally lawful neutral. The alignment changed to neutral good when Midnight took up the mantle, because Midnight herself was a neutral good person. But now it seems 5E Mystra is true neutral, because you are right, anon; Ao won't allow her to do whatever she wants. Midnight tried and was forbidden. 5E Mystra absolutely does not have the same level of humanity or kindness as Midnight, and that may be because Mystryl had no human consciousness and Mystra #2 was a mess.
Tumblr media
Regardless of her alignment, she must embody her domain by Ao's decree, which means she needs to spread magic across all Realmspace. Since she has to maintain the balance, she approaches good, neutral, and evil mages with potential opportunities. This isn't a criticism (that's just how godhood works), but rather proof that Mystra is absolutely capable of good and bad. I don't want to hear any more of this "she's a precious little bean and Gale's victim" nonsense. Even if she wants to be, she's not. As Kikitakite said in their post, she's done some fucked up things.
Tumblr media
Whether or not the writers intended to make Mystra a groomer, that's exactly what they did. Sometimes writers don't realise they've written an abusive character until they're criticised. Take writer of The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks, for example. He didn't realise he'd written Noah to be an abusive piece of shit until Ryan Gosling pointed it out himself. Gosling has gone on record many times to say he hates Noah, and experts have labeled him an unrealistic and emotionally abusive/manipulative character. The same can be said for Stephenie Meyer, who wrote some of the most celebrated toxic relationships in recent media—with a dash of borderline pedophilia on the side. Therapists have weighed in extensively to tell people that Bella and Edward's relationship isn't healthy and shouldn't be emulated in real life. Indeed, perhaps the best thing to come out of the entire franchise is Robert Pattinson's hatred of Edward and the series as a whole. Jacob's actor, Taylor Lautner, even argued with Meyer's on set because of how weird the "imprinting" segment was and he didn't want to come off as predatory. Meyer argued it was "romantic". 😕
Tumblr media
Even if you don't agree Gale was groomed, Mystra is flagrantly responsible for his insecurities and she never should've put her hands on him. The power dynamic is too vast, and even god Gale (conceited as he is) realises it by the end. He only stays in a relationship with Tav if they allow him to ascend them alongside him as his equal. He recognises that anything else would be unhealthy and unacceptable. Also, I researched high and low regarding your claim, but none of the devs have dispelled the idea that Mystra is a groomer. In fact, the most I could find was one dev simply saying, "To Gale it was love, but he didn't know any better." If anything, that only confirms he was confused and didn't know what to do. Their "relationship" was a stunningly horrible idea from the start and that's not on Gale, it's on the literal cosmic being who initiated it.
Tumblr media
Moreover, Gale was very likely 17 when Mystra revealed herself to him. This perfectly fits into the 5E Forgotten Realms timeline. If so, no, he absolutely wasn't a grown man. He was a teenager. Mystra may not have slept with him until he was in his 20's, but that still makes it a disgusting teacher-turned-lover situation. Gale even tells us he was "young" when she took him into her fold, and he was only eight years old when Elminster started their lessons. Remember, Elminster is Mystra's biggest apologist. He would've taught Gale to revere her, which means there was almost never a point in his life when Mystra wasn't the main focus. You can tell by the way he speaks about her in Act 1. He's in awe, he's excited, he's proud she chose him. That does something to a child. Something irreversible. If anything, Elminster is complicit in what happened. I've said this before, but he couldn't even be bothered to visit Gale himself. He sent a simulacrum.
Tumblr media
As for your accusation that I'm "downplaying" Gale's story arc—you're damn right I am, because the writers made me! Most D&D players I know aren't very happy with how Mystra is portrayed in the game, and that's probably because even they know she isn't presented in a very flattering light. If you really think about it, it's obvious what the writers were going for, but they failed. For example, you said Gale should've listened to Mystra, right? Well, in Act 1 he admits his ambition was his undoing, blames himself for his downfall, and by Act 2 he's literally ready to off himself for her. In fact, he's the only one who sees her ultimatum as justified. Every other companion says she's being cruel and unreasonable. If Gale actually blows himself up at the end of Act 2, the results are catastrophic. The brain is destroyed, yes, but the tadpoles, free of the Absolute's control, complete their transformation and infect/enslave the entire Sword Coast. Anon. She. Is. Stupid. Even the Narrator is like, "You wanna ... you wanna try that again?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The entirety of Act 2 is Gale learning he shouldn't listen to Mystra. And then she has the audacity to lecture him in Act 3? If he'd listened, it would've been the end of everything. Maybe if Mystra was as infallible as she pretends to be, she would've put her three brains together and came up with a better, less vindictive plan. Because make no mistake, she wanted Gale to blow up in Act 2, which is ridiculous. I know this is an uncomfortable topic for some people, but gods aren't perfect, especially in fiction. They're flawed. They're selfish. Some of them are straight up assholes. The real irony of Gale's arc isn't that he has no one to blame but himself, it's that Mystra should blame herself. At no point does she even consider if she's being unreasonable or unfair. There's no self reflection whatsoever. And the writers expect me to think Gale's full of himself? I wonder where he got it.
Probably from his teacher. ✋🎤

I do not have time to write this, but I really need to write it down.
All the events of Stranger things happen as normal - one crucial difference, Eddie gets involved, but not in the same way. He's an innocent by stander who never made friends with the kids. He's a vague background character to the action. He's an extra on set, effectively, and when he drops out of school and leaves town abruptly, someone might notice, but no one really questions it.
Years later, the only thing that feels real about the whole thing are the scars Steve still carries on his body. Sometimes, sometimes, he has to call Robin, just to check it was all real. That he hasn't lost his mind. He still flinches when a light flickers, to this day his ears ring for hours after a loud noise. He has headaches.
The only people he can talk to about it are Robin and the kids; but he feels bad. The kids aren't kids anymore, and they all seem to have just...gotten on with their lives. Seemed to have grown and evolved past it all, even though Steve regularly still wakes in the night, sweating and fighting with his bed covers. He doesn't put that on them, he sounds happy on the phone, and he is, loves hearing about their lives, their relationships, their plans and their own kids.
Robin has a girlfriend, she's happy and settled. Steve's the only one who seems...stuck. Like he cant move past it. He bums around. Stays with Nancy for a while, then Robin. Visits Argyle, makes loose acquaintances and sofa surfs. Drifts, aimlessly, through life.
It's about time in his cycle to visit Robin, but the relationship is serious this time and she nags him to find his own place to stay near by - loosing patience with him when he fails to be motivated and finding it for him herself. It's tiny, the kind of place where the bed is also the couch and the TV rests on a short run of kitchen counter because there's no where else. Feels okay though.
Steve gets a job. Spends a day on foot, door to door, walking through town; lands in a record shop of all places, even though CD's have now well and truly taken hold and vinyl isn't much of a thing. It's dark inside, the walls painted black, the bare brick red. A couple of people browse through, but Steve heads right for the counter.
There's some screamo rock stuff playing that Steve doesn't recognize, but it's quiet, so it's okay.
Behind the counter, someone Steve half recognizes from another life. Eddie Munson, Freak of Hawkins High. What are the odds.
Eddie isn't who Steve remembers. He's angry now. Bitter. Has a horrible scar that creeps up his neck and onto his face, pulling the corner of his lip down. Steve does his best to ignore it. Begs for work.
Eddie employs him, but only because he thinks it's fucking funny how far the king has fallen. Now the king works for the jester.
Steve does his best at the shop. Cleans a lot. Gets on well with the customers, charms plenty of sales.
Eddie walks with a cane and seems to hate everyone and everything; but nothing so much as a cold morning. Seems to be in more pain than usual.
Steve wants to ask, Eddie tells him it was an animal attack. In 86.
Steve's seen some of the scars by now, caught glimpses of how bad Eddie was hurt; helped Eddie even when Eddie was spitting angry about accepting any help.
What the fuck kind of animal could do that much damage in Hawkins?
You wouldn't believe me if I told you.
And Steve puts it together then, instantly and viscerally realizes in his bones what must have happened. No one ever believed Eddie. Why would they? How could anyone think that monsters coming out of the walls, out of the floors, out of glowing red portals could be the truth?
And Steve says, did it's face peel apart like a flower?
And then he tells Eddie. He tells Eddie everything. He shows Eddie his own scars. Tells him about every monster they ever come across. It was one of the demo dogs. Like Dart. Steve knew it must have been, but Eddie confirms with a description.
And then Eddie cries, because he finally has a explanation. He's not crazy. For the first time in his life, someone believes him.

Between Us Pt. 2
Summary: You and Spencer had a casual relationship. A misunderstanding ruins it all.
Pairing: Spencer Reid × F. BAU Reader
Warnings: Friends with benefits. Angst.
See My Masterlist Here
Part One
Tonight was the night you were going to confess your feelings to Spencer. You couldn’t keep it to yourself anymore, it was too painful. You were worried you would lose him when you told him, but you thought there was a good chance he felt the same.
You spent all afternoon cooking his favorite foods, planning for a night of cuddling and love making after you got the confession out of the way. When you were finished getting dressed, Spencer knocked on your door.
You invited him in, taking your seats at the table. You ate in silence, your nerves making your stomach hurt. “I have to tell you-“ “We should talk.” You spoke over each other. You smile, giggling with excitement. Spencer wanted to talk too. This is going so well.
“You go first.” You prompt him, smiling wide at him. “These past six months have been so fun. But I think our time together should come to an end.” You try to swallow the lump in your throat, willing yourself not to cry.
“I want to keep it professional at work. We can still be friends, we will just take the sex out of it.” He explains, studying your face. All you can do is nod as he rattles on about how the statistics of such a relationship show that the longer you did it, the harder it would be to end it.
You used to love hearing him spout a million facts about whatever topic he was talking about. But not tonight. “So what did you want to tell me?” He asks, serving himself more food. “Um, I was just going to tell you that book I ordered you came this morning. I thought you would be excited.” You rise from the table, retrieving the thick book from the counter and bringing it to Spencer.
“Thanks.” His smile breaks your heart. You can feel that your attempts to keep the tears at bay are failing. “Why don’t you take the food with you? I’m suddenly not feeling well.” You tell him, as you turn your back to get the lids for the bowls. You hand them to him, turning your back as the tears start to fall. “I’m going to lay down. Lock the door behind you.”
If he thought your sudden illness had anything to do with him, he didn’t act like it. Spencer was right about nothing changing. He was the exact same as he had always been with you, just without the sex.
Spencer was heartbroken. He didn’t want to end his sexual relationship with you. But he couldn’t put himself through the pain anymore. He spent all of his spare time with you. He couldn’t keep you off his mind. Things had changed a few months ago. He had bent the rules he set in place so he wouldn’t fall for you.
You had started spending the night and cuddling. Spencer had fallen fast and hard. But he couldn’t go through every day knowing you didn’t feel the same. So he had to end it, as painful as it was for him. It was no secret that you had been hooking up. But he didn’t want to talk about it with anyone.
Until two weeks after he called it off, he was so upset, he broke down and talked to Derek. He wanted to know all the details, but Spencer only told him the important information. “I have an easy fix for you, pretty boy.” Morgan smirked at him. Spencer leaned in, excited there was a solution.
“You know what they say, if you want to get over someone, get under someone else. You just have to sleep with someone and she will be the last thing you’re thinking of. Works for me every time.” Spencer cleared his throat. “Easy for you to say. I’m lucky she agreed to sleep with me. I’ll never find someone else so quickly, and I’m not sure I would want to.”
“I know someone who has been into you since she started here.” Derek boasts, nodding his head to the blonde at the coffee pot talking to Rossi. “Ashley?” Spencer squeaked, while Derek laughed.
Ashley Seaver was one coworker you could not get used to. She was impulsive, always throwing herself into trouble. You couldn’t stand her. Not only for how she acted on the field, but for how she looked at Spencer. She wanted him, and she didn’t care who knew it. She was all over him from the second she started working at the BAU.
She even knew that you and Spencer were hooking up, but she didn’t care. She used every opportunity to touch him or say something flirty, making eye contact with you the whole time she did it. Luckily, Spencer was oblivious. When you mentioned how she hung all over him, he said he didn’t even notice. He was too busy thinking about the case or the thing you did with your tongue the night before.
So you stopped being jealous. It wasn’t like you had any right to be. You and Spencer were just hooking up. If he wasn’t interested in her, then you would just let it go. The last time she tried anything had been a month ago. You were sick and she invited Spencer to go eat after work.
Spencer being the nice guy he is, accepted her offer. While they were out, he talked about you the whole time. She had told him to stop talking about you, that she was right there and she wanted whatever he was willing to give. He politely turned her down, but she was furious. She kept her distance from both of you since then.
That’s why you were confused when you heard her squealing and giggling, saying Spencer’s name as loudly as she could. You looked up from your mountainous stack of paperwork that you came in early to work on to see Spencer hugging her.
There was a vase of roses on her desk. “I can’t believe you got these for me! What a surprise! I knew you would come around!” She almost yelled, looking directly at you. Spencer took her hand in his, “I wanted to get you something before our date tonight, but I wasn’t sure I would have time to get them after work.” He explained shyly looking at her.
That little shit! Was he actually blushing? Was he seriously going on a date with Ashley tonight? And what is with the roses? He never once got you flowers. Did he call things off with you to date her? Seeing them together made you feel sick. Actually, the temperature felt like it rose a hundred degrees. You needed to get up now. You ran to the bathroom making it just in time to throw up.

Mother Carmilla x gender neutral child reader
Words: 1.5k
“Let’s practice”
A/n: hii! Okay so I saw someone post that this would be a great image! So I decided to try it, (or course with permission)! So hope this is great!
(Idea from: lillonvia)
Info: Basically the reader is Carmillas youngest child, and is trying to learn how to use those shoes Carmilla has as weapons. Readers genderless so this is for everyone! Reader is between the age of 9-12
By the way I tried to make all the Spanish words masculine since it goes for all genders (usually)
Tumblr media
Your mother, Carmilla Carmine, was an overlord dealer of the angelic weapons. Which also meant she was pretty much trained to use all the weapons she makes. Your older sisters, Clara and Odette, were also trained, not as much as your mother but still enough to defend themselves.
You ok the other hand, no. You being the youngest of the family made her more protective over you, even not letting you go to close to the weapons. It did make you feel left out.
Your sisters knew how to use the guns and some of the daggers, but those were never really your true interest, it was those ballet shoes your mother wore. Once your sisters told you what your mother did to that exorcist during extermination day with her shoes, you immediately thought it was cool.
You wanted shoes like that. Maybe some like your mother. Though you knew she’d never say yes, it was dangerous, or so you thought she’d say no.
Right now, you snuck into the room where she stored all the weapons. Cases of guns and daggers lined up neatly on the shelves, bullets on all the racks. You’ve never been in the room before, your mother never let you.
You started to look if there were any other shoes that your mother could have. You found some boots with them, they weren’t your size though, you were a kid and most of these clothes and weapons weren’t designed for children. You sigh as you keep looking.
Carmilla just so happened to be walking by to do a daily check on her progress, and you tensed and froze. I’m instinct, being the child you were, you hid. Hiding behind a large shelf that probably wasn’t a good idea to hide behind.
Carmilla walked in, her steps sharp and you could hear your mother’s steps. You hold your breath as she checked the room and weapons that were shipped in. You sighed in relief when she walked over to another area in the room, leaning over a little, but that made the shelf shake…and then it fell. You gasp and froze as the shelf crashed onto the ground.
Carmillas head snapped over to where the shelf fell and saw you. Her eyes narrowed as she walked over. “[Name]? What are you doing in here?” She asked in a stern voice, keeping herself from yelling or raising her voice at the fallen weapons and broken shelves.
“I-uh…” m, You struggled to speak. Carmilla stood up straight and crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at you and waiting for you to speak up. You sigh and stand up, your head down. “I just wanted to…learn how to use angelic weapons too..like how you and my sisters do..” You say softly.
Carmillas expression softens as she looks down at you and sighed. “Mi amor, do you truly want to use these? They’re dangerous and I’d hate for you to get hurt.” Carmilla said stern but soft.
“Pleeeeeeaaaase!! mamá I really want to! I’ll do anything” You beg your mother and gave her some puppy dog eyes to add to it. Carmilla let out a soft smile and held a hand out.
“If that’s what you want mi corazón..” You smiled back and took her hand. “But, if you want to use the angelic weapons, clean this up. Now.” Carmilla said more stern, pointing to the fallen weapons and the broken shelves.
You chuckle nervously and nod. “Yes mamá” you say and picked up all the angelic weapons. While your mother stayed and watched. She began to ask you a questions.
“Corazón? Which weapon would you like to use?” She asked you gently.
“Hmm? Oh! Uh, I was wondering if I could be taught how to use…shoes like yours?” You rubbed your arm, slightly embarrassed to admit.
Carmilla smiled softly at the response. Clara and Odette never wanted to learn how to use their legs to fight, they preferred blades. Her heart warmed at the thought of her youngest child taking after her. “Of course Mi querido, though I may have to make some of your size. So training will not begin so soon.”
You mentally sigh at that, you wanted to train right away, but knew you’d have to wait. You nod and smiled sadly. “Okay mamá..I can wait.” You say. She came over and pushed up the shelf for you.
“Thank you mi amor” Carmilla said and ruffled your hair a gently with her large claws. You giggle softly and finish putting the weapons in their places.
It took about 6 days for the shoes to be made, mainly since Carmilla wanted them to be more durable for you. She came and got you from your room. “[Name]? I’ve got you a surprise” She smiled and sat on the bed next to you, smiling softly with a box in her hand.
You smile and sit up, sitting next to your mother as she handed you the box. You open it and gasp and smile when you saw the same styled ballet shoes inside. They were like your mothers but just a smaller size. “ay dios mío- thank you mamá!!” You hugged your mother by the side and she smiled back.
“Of course Mi amor..now why don’t we try these on? And we can start practicing if you’d like.” She offered with a smile. You practically bounce up and down as you nod excitedly.
“Yes! I’d love to!” You just to your feet with the box, pulling the angelic shoes out and tossing the body on the ground to clean up later. Carmillas heart warmed up from how excited you were to use and train in those shoes, taking after her rather than using the more dangerous weapons like guns.
You both walk down the stairs, in the middle of the purple room. You looked around and smiled. Carmilla smiled down at you. “Alright [name], let’s put those on and I’ll teach you some ways to use them. But you must listen alright?” She spoke stern but soft.
You not and smile, putting the ballet shoes on (with a little help from Carmilla since you were struggling with the ribbons), and they fit snug. “Okay! I’m ready to kick some a-“ you stop your words when you saw Carmilla glaring at you softly for you almost cussing. You nervously laugh and calmed down.
Carmilla walked over and started to speak. “First of all, let’s get you better adjusted to walking in them. Stand on your toes.” She commands you gently. You nod and attempt to stand on your toes, though you only lasted about 2 seconds. “Try again.” Your mother stood near you, more firm now”
“Dang it..” you grumble softly as you failed again. Repeatedly, you fail over and over again, your mother demanding you to keep trying and trying. “This is too hard..” you complain a little as you became more and more frustrated.
“Patience Mi amor..you’re doing well..just keep trying. It’s all about practice.” Carmilla encourages softly and sternly. You nod and take a deep breath, trying again.
After a while you were able to hold yourself up for about a minute straight, you smiled and looked at your mom. “Look! I’m doing it!” Carmilla smiled softly at you and walked over.
“See? I told you that if you practice you’d get better..now try walking to me while standing on your toes.” She encouraged. “Like this” she walked across the room with ease, she held her arms out. “Soon you’ll be able to walk normally in them. And when you master that, I will teach you how to fight with them.”
You nod and smile, trying to stay motivated. You started to walk to your mother. Though you failed a lot, standing on your toes were hard, walking across the room on themoof..even harder. But you did have you mother to encourage you along the way. You kept trying and trying and eventually did it, and you celebrated a little.
“Good job [Name]. Now we will practice more and more everyday. Just be patient alright my dear?” Carmilla told you, giving you a smile of approval.
“Yes mamá, I understand.” You smiled back excitedly.
“Good..then i will expect you to be wearing those all the time around the house to practice.” She nods and ruffled your hair gently, walking away to do her duties.
You smiled and nodded at your mother. “You got it!”. You were excited to keep practicing, you were determined and motivated to train and impress your mother. You knew it would be long, but it would be worth it.
A/n: hi! Hope this was good! If I get comments for part 2 I could make it.

Puppy Love
Pairing: Bucky x F!reader
Warnings: Angst and fluff
Length: 1.1k
Summary: You have a surprise for Bucky and Alpine
A/N: I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for a while so here it is! Do we want a pt 2?
Edit: Pt. 2 can be found here!
I do not give consent for my work to be translated, copied, or sold!
Tumblr media
You know what you were doing was probably wrong. Keeping a secret this big could crumble your relationship. You know that you would make not only your boyfriend mad, but also your cat. But you couldn’t help yourself. It would benefit your family in the long run but it would take time and patience.
You walk into your shared apartment with Bucky and notice that he is still at the vet with Alpine. Perfect! You think. You carry the large box into your bedroom and close the door behind you. As soon as you hear the door click, you hear the front door unlock.
Doll, are you home?” You hear Bucky yell.
“I’m here!” You run up to him and kiss him.
Bucky has Alpine in a small carrier and places it on the ground before grabbing your waist to pull you in. You both smile as you kiss, loving that this is how you greet each other every time you come home. You put your hands into his back pockets to pull him closer.
“Hi…” Bucky whispers before kissing the tip of your nose.
You pull away from Bucky and crouch down to open the carrier. “How did she do?” You ask as you pull Alpine into your arms.
She purrs as you scratch her head, nuzzling the side of your face. You walk to the couch and sit down, Bucky following behind you.
“Well once she realized we were going to the vet, she was not happy. But she behaved well and the vet said that she’s healthy.” Bucky sits beside you and pets Alpine under her chin.
“Oh, that’s good!” You smile down at Alpine.
Bucky gets up and walks into the kitchen, grabbing his favorite bottle of whiskey. “You want some, Doll?”
“I’m ok, thank you.” You smile at him, your heart racing. It’s only a matter of time before he figures it out.
Bucky picks up on your nervousness but doesn’t say anything. He knows that you will talk to him when you are ready.
You look back down at Alpine and realize that she’s fallen asleep in your arms. Alpine is not the most independent cat but she loves her space. It’s rare moments like this that make your heart swell more and more.
You look up when you hear a camera shutter. Bucky has his whiskey in one hand and his phone in the other, capturing the moment between you Alpine.
“I love you,” You blurt out.
Bucky smiles at you but his eyebrows are drawn in. It wasn’t strange for you to say ‘I love you’ to him, but you never blurted it out like that. “I love you too, doll.”
“What, your girlfriend can’t say she loves you?”
“Well of course you can but you’re not one to just blurt it out.” Bucky moves towards you. “Are sure it’s just an ‘I love you’ and nothing else?”
You don’t meet his eyes. You look down at the sleeping cat in your arms, totally unaware that she is going to lose her shit in a few minutes.
“Doll, I’m getting nervous. Whatever it is, you can tell me.”
“I got a puppy!” You blurt, scaring Alpine awake.
“You what?” Bucky’s eyes widen as he sets down his glass of whiskey.
Alpine jumps up from your lap and goes to Bucky, rubbing against his leg. It’s like she understood that you got her an unwanted sibling. Bucky picks her up and she purrs, wrapping herself around his neck like a scarf.
“I was coming home from a walk and I saw this box in the street. It had a sign that said ‘Free Puppies’ and I thought to myself, ‘Hey, there’s probably no puppies! But it doesn’t hurt to look…’ and I looked in the box and there was one puppy left. I couldn’t bring myself to just leave the puppy there so I picked up the box and I came home.”
“Where’s the puppy now?” Bucky’s eyes narrow at you.
As if on command you both hear a crash in your bedroom. You turn quickly to look at your door before looking at your boyfriend with a sheepish smile. Bucky unwraps Alpine from his neck before placing her on the ground and marching his way to the bedroom.
“Bucky, wait!” You chase after him.
“No, you went and got a puppy without even consulting with me first? We’re supposed to be in a relationship, we’re supposed to communicate with each other!” Bucky goes to open the bedroom door but you duck under his arm to block the door.
“I truly was going to discuss it with you Buck, I swear! I’ve been thinking about us getting another pet for a couple of months now and I was going to bring it up but then I saw the puppy. I couldn’t leave it out in the cold!” You plead with your boyfriend.
Bucky closes his eyes and looks up to take a deep breath. He knows that you made the decision out of the goodness in your heart, that is one of the many reasons he loves you. But he feels disrespected that you didn’t ask him about this huge responsibility.
“Doll I know you’re doing this because you think it’s right, but what about Alpine? We don’t even know if she will do well with another animal here. She’s been our main focus and with another animal, a puppy nonetheless, will be a huge adjustment for her. We will most likely fall in love with that puppy and then we might have to give it away because Alpine is not taking to it well.”
You nod your head at what he’s saying. You knew all of this when you grabbed the box. You knew it would be a possibility, but you couldn’t say no to those puppy eyes.
“I know Bucky, I’ve been thinking about this for months. But when you’re gone you don’t see it. Alpine gets lonely. Even when I’m here she doesn’t play like her normal self, I can’t imagine how she acts when we’re both away on a mission.” Bucky looks down at you with sadness in his eyes.
“Alpine gets lonely?”
“She’ll stand by the front door and meow for hours, she’ll eat but only when it’s on your spot at the table, and she’ll only ever sleep on your pillow.”
Bucky turns to look at his feline companion. She’s asleep on what is Bucky’s side of the couch, not paying any mind to the argument. Bucky takes another deep breath and turns to you.
“Bucky, I wouldn’t have brought the puppy home if I didn’t think that we all couldn’t handle this adjustment.” You look into his eyes.
Bucky slowly nods his head. “Ok, but we have to introduce them slowly. We don’t want Alpine to become territorial.”
You smile at Bucky and give him a kiss. “Thank you, Bucky!”
You move out of the way and Bucky opens your bedroom door, revealing a big ball of fluff.

can you please write Y/N and Wanda also Natasha is not dead here (up to you thooooo) , and Y/N pretty much replaced Vision. But before these events Natasha has always been there for Wanda, (after Endgame) so she didn’t make a hex but still griefed about Y/N and Wanda making a big move for Y/N’s reincarnation but in a good way. After Y/N being back from the dead. She learns that her soon to be wife has already fallen for Natasha and her reincarnation just meant nothing and Y/N didn’t go on with her life and ended it just there.
Wands regretted everything until she lost herself and made a big mess with the universe (pretty much MoM) and overall Wanda regretting everything, and when she gets us back (it can be Wanda taking another one of us in an another universe) or her just making us alive from the dead *this all can be up to you author*
I love your stories 🖤
I'm Sorry

Everything hurts. You have a splitting headache and it feels like you got run over by a MACK truck. Your face scrunches up in pain, the lights too bright even with your eyes closed. Sensory overload has you curling in on yourself. Hands come up to clamp on your ears when you hear a voice, but it’s so loud and muffled that you don’t even know who is talking to you. All you want is for all of it to stop. You had been an experiment but that experience doesn’t compare to what you are feeling right now.
“Nat turn the lights off.” Wanda orders the older woman in the room. Nat flicks the light off as she watches Wanda brush some hairs back. You let out a whimper at the contact. It breaks her heart seeing you like this. When her hand brushes against your skin she can feel you. She feels your pain. Red whisps leave her fingers slowly seeping into your skin. Soon enough the pain starts to dissipate.
Wanda crawls in the bed behind you wrapping herself around your frame. You feel a body pressed against yours and you immediately know who it is. “Wanda.” You whisper. You turn around in her hold and nuzzle into her neck. “I’m here sweetheart.” Wanda combs her fingers through your hair. You're so tired and she feels like home. You fight to stay awake but her ministrations have your eyes closing. “It’s ok detka get some rest.” Wanda whispers and kisses the top of your head. You finally let yourself drift off to sleep.
A little over 5 years ago the team was fighting Thanos. Your powers let you see brief points into the future. You saw that if you died that Wanda would be safe. Thanos needed you gone to get what he wants but you also saw that in the end the Avengers would win. The event that sets that in motion was your death. So as much as it pained you you let it happen. To save Wanda, to save the world. Wanda could move on but the fate of the universe was in your hands.
“Wanda.” Nat says softly from the corner of the room. She looks at you curled into Wanda’s arms. A sight she had hoped to never see again. “Natty, she needs this.” Wanda says softly, still stroking your hair as you sleep. Nat just nods. It hurts but she knows it is something that Wanda had to do.
Your mind races. Your dreams are of your last memories. The fight with Thanos and how you let him kill you just in order to save everyone else. Your body shoots straight up as your chest heaves from the memories. You feel a hand rubbing up and down your back but you haven’t quite gained control. You mind questioning how you are here. Why are you alive? You should be dead. That was all your mind could see and you had accepted that fact but here you are. Tears stream down your face. “Why?” You're not sure what you are asking, who you are asking the question of. You feel so small. “Why what detka?” Wanda asks you with concern on her face. “Why am I here? I should be dead.” Your voice breaks and Wanda’s heart hurts seeing you like this.
Wanda starts explaining everything that had happened while you were gone. Excluding some details. They had worked tirelessly to bring back those that were snapped away. Wanda and Nat become the de facto leaders of the Avengers. It took 5 years but they finally did. Once that was done they set out to bring you back. It took some time but somehow when Bruce had snapped his fingers he was able to bring you back. But somehow you ended up in a pocket universe in a deep sleep. They were finally able to get you back safely. All the information flooding into your mind is a lot to handle but eventually you understand. Somehow the universe had different plans for you.
Tumblr media
It’s been a few months since you came back. Most things are the same but something seems off. Wanda hasn’t been as loving towards you. Before she was always so touchy and wanting nothing more than to crawl under the sheets cuddling while watching some sitcoms. But now she barely even gives you a hug. Sleeping in the same bed has you feeling like she isn’t even there. She is a million miles away even if she is only right beside you. Your heart hurts not understanding, is she still mad at you for letting Thanos kill you. Anytime you try to talk to her she just brushes you off and says nothing is wrong. So you're left alone to your thoughts and worries.
Nat had moved into your shared home while you were away. The two women grew closer at the loss of so many others. You want to be angry and jealous that Nat gets more attention than you but you still trust Wanda hoping that she will come around eventually.
You’re walking towards the kitchen when you can hear a hushed discussion between Wanda and Nat. You stop just shy of the door frame listening in when you hear your name mentioned. “Wanda you need to tell Y/n.” Nat says her body leaning on the counter and arms crossed against her chest. “Tell her what Nat?” Wanda counters. She sits at the table with a sad look adorning her face. “You know what Wands.” Wanda lets out a sigh. “I can’t do that to her Nat.” Wanda’s voice is low. “You can’t keep lying to her. You can’t keep lying to me. I love you Wanda.” There is a pause in the conversation before Wanda speaks up. “I love you too.” Your heart drops the moment the words spill from Wanda’s mouth.
You’re quick to turn on your heels as the tears start to stream down your face. Holding in a sob as it all makes sense now. In your absence the two had fallen in love. You’ve somehow become the other woman in Wanda’s life. You don’t know how you didn’t see this coming. Your powers should have felt this but they hadn’t and now you’re left heartbroken. You push into your shared room focusing on pulling yourself back together. You can’t let them know that you know until you figure out what to do.
The buzzing of your phone pulls you out of your despair for the moment. You see Fury’s name flash on the screen. You quickly wipe your tears and answer the phone. “Sir.” You say masking the waver in your voice. “Y/l/n I have a mission for you. Since you have been cleared for duty I would like you to head out tonight with Barton and Barnes. I have sent over the reports for you to go over. Good luck out there and glad to have you back.” The phone line goes dead as the man hangs up the phone. You open the report sent to your phone. You now see the flashes in your mind of how the mission will go. And that is where you see it. What you’re going to do.
That night you enter the Quinjet greeted by the two men. Hugs and joy at your return. Your powers are always a significant help to missions. You three go over the plans for the mission. You lay out what you had seen in your vision, excluding one crucial part that the men don’t need to know. You know if they did they would try and stop you. But your heart aches and you put on a fake smile so that no one would expect a thing.
Everything was set to go. A long message meant to play for Wanda after it was already too late. This would be your last mission. Wanda and Nat would have all that they could ever want. You wouldn’t be the burden that you know you are. They should have just left you dead if they were going to do this to you. So you made that decision for them. You weren’t going to come back from this mission alive.
The mission was going perfectly. Playing out exactly as you had seen it. Bucky and Clint were together and far away from you. You snuck into the building off the side. It held some hostages that had been taken by Hydra. You snuck in taking out every agent that you passed. It didn’t take long for you to make it to the hostages. You were able to release them from their binds and get them out of the building safely. But you knew it wasn’t over yet. Bucky and Clint were waiting exactly where you told them too. Having each hostage run towards them for safety while you stood with your back towards the open area.
You waited knowing what was to come soon. You could change the outcome but you didn’t want to. You didn’t want to be in a world where Wanda loved someone else. You waited with bated breath as the last hostage ran towards your teammates. You exhale the air in your lungs before a sharp pain in your stomach is felt. You grit your teeth turning around firing off a few rounds, but you're hit with another round to the shoulder. You can hear the muffled sounds of Bucky and Clint calling out for you but you push through. Another shot to the leg sends you kneeling on the ground. You push through the pain as you stand. A few steps forward as you unload your mag into the man. Another man appears with his finger on the trigger of his gun. You watch as an arrow sores through the air and hits the man directly in the chest. His finger squeezes the trigger as he falls. You’re hit with the array of bullets. Your body sways before falling to your knees then falling to the ground. The ground below you stains red as your body goes cold.
Wanda felt a change in the universe. She cries out causing Nat to panic next to her. Wanda clutches her chest in pain. She felt this twice before. Once when Pietro died, the second when you died fighting Thanos. She had never wanted to feel that pain again but here she is feeling it. The world stops turning at that moment. Not again she thinks tears streaming down her face.
The doorbell rings but Wanda doesn’t hear it. Nat tries to console the younger woman pleading for her to tell her what is going on. It continues to ring when no one answers until Nat gets up and finds out what is going on. Wanda sits sobbing on the couch. Nat walks back in with a folded paper with your hand writing on it. Wanda scribbled on the top.
Wanda sees this snatching the paper from her hands and quickly opening it before reading the words delicately written across the page.
My dearest Wanda,
You’re reading this because I’m gone. I’m sorry to do this to you
but I can’t live life like this. I know that you no longer love me.
I see the way you look at Natasha and I know she is now
the love of your life. I want you to be happy. I saw this coming
and I could have changed it but who am I to keep you from the
one you love. Don’t mourn for me, just live your life. You don’t
have to worry about me anymore and you can be happy, that
is all I have ever wanted for you. But my love I can’t live in
a world where you love someone else. So this is goodbye.
Love,
Y/N
Tears hit the paper blurring the words in front of her. Wanda’s heart shatters into a million pieces. How could this have happened? How could she have thrown away all that you two have? She is absolutely disgusted with herself and with Nat. This isn’t how it was supposed to go but she was blinded and now her eyes are finally open but now it could be too late.
Through the tears Wanda gets up making her way out the door and immediately taking off towards the compound. Her magic lifts her into the sky as she flies as fast as she possibly can to the one place she knows you would be. Praying that maybe it was all wrong, maybe you can be saved. Nat calls out for her as she leaves her alone standing in the yard.
The ground cracks below Wanda’s feet as she lands hard on the ground. Anger and guilt pumping through her veins as she walks towards the building. Her magic slamming doors open as she makes her way to the med bay. Your body is already lying there. Bucky and Clint talking outside the room. Windows lining the wall as they keep looking back at your body. Wondering what they would tell the angry redhead but they didn’t have to wait too long. They spot Wanda fear and sorrow on their faces. “Wanda we can -” Clint is cut off. “Save it.”
Wanda makes her way into the room. The boys walked away looking like kicked puppies. Wanda’s breath picks up as she sees your still body encased in a black bag. The top half of it unzipped revealing your pale skin and blood staining your suit. You look so peaceful like you could be sleeping. Wanda cups your cheek, a light jerk of her hand when she feels how cold you are. She lets her magic slip out the ends of her fingers going into your head. Fresh tears streaming down her face. “I can’t feel you.” A sob wracking her body. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry love you never deserved any of this.”
Wanda silently sobs as she sits next to you. Your hand in hers as she just stares blankly at your body. The door clicks open a while later. Wanda doesn’t turn to look. “Go away.” Her voice is hoarse from all the crying but she doesn’t care. “Wands.” Nat whispers. “I said leave.” Wanda’s voice raises as her head snaps towards the door red swirling in her eyes. Nat knows she is just upset so she doesn’t back down. “Detka.” She whispers. “Don’t you dare detka me.” Wanda stands letting your hand drop off the side of the bed. “This is all your fault. She is fucking dead because of you.” Wanda seethes. “Don’t put that blame on me Wanda. You're just as much the problem.” Wanda stalks towards Nat red surrounding her body and slamming her into the window, a crack forming behind her body. “Don’t you fucking dare blame me. It should have been you. You should have died back then. I would still have her. She is more of a woman than you will ever be. I let myself be blinded by you. Blinded by the love you gave but I didn’t love you. I don’t fucking love you.” As hard as Nat can be, Wanda's words cut deep. Tears shine in her eyes as she holds back a sob. Wanda sends Nat’s body flying through walls until she lands outside. Wanda follows as she does so. Releasing Nat’s body which is now battered and bruised. She then flies off into the night.
Tumblr media
It’s been months since anyone has seen Wanda, held up in a small cabin in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains. Some have tried but they always get blasted out so they stopped trying. She has been lost to the Avengers and they aren’t sure they could ever get her back. The day they lost you they also lost her.
Wanda’s black tipped fingers comb through a book. A very dangerous book. The more she searches the darkness in her soul grows and the blacked tips grow. She has tried everything in the book to bring you back to life but none of it works. She had another attempt today, something new, something hopeful but it ends with a magical outburst throwing everything in the cabin. She continues to comb through the pages ignoring the disarray around her. She closes her eyes and lets her magic do the work. It’s not long before she finds something new. She thought she had seen all that this book had to offer. All that the Darkhold had to offer to the Scarlet Witch.
Tumblr media
You are sitting in your living room, two small boys cuddled into each of your sides as you watch a movie. Empty bowls of ice cream sitting on the coffee table that you have your feet propped up on. You laugh as your son Tommy tries to mimic you. You other son Billy giggling along. Tommy huffs and crosses his arms. “Not funny.” He mumbles. You can’t help but ruffle his hair which makes him swat at your hand causing you to chuckle. “One day buddy you will reach it.” You kiss the top of his head. All of you falling back into the silence, the only sound is the movie playing.
Your mind flashes to a vision of Wanda but not your Wanda standing in the middle of your living room. Her face twisted into something you can’t even imagine in your wildest dreams from the woman you loved. The pain that she has caused to get to this point. As your world comes back to you you are met with a star shaped portal in the middle of your living room. What was once an image in your head now in front of you.
Wanda’s hand wraps around the young girl's throat in front of you. “What did you do?” She seethes. The two boys next to you are terrified. You quickly stand and tell them to run but Wanda’s head snaps towards you. The couch you were once on is now thrown at the stairs blocking the way. You push your boys behind you in a protective manner. Wanda’s eyes trailing the boys curiously, a small warm spot forming in her heart seeing your protective nature. She didn’t expect to find you with kids but she always wanted a family with you so it can’t hurt.
“Wanda!” You yell at her. Wanda is startled by the anger in your voice. You have never yelled at her like that. “Let the girl go.” You demand of her. Her hand slips from the girl's neck as she coughs on the ground holding her throat. Wanda starts stalking towards you but you back up with your boys behind you.
Billy tugs on your shirt a little trying to get your attention and you quickly look back at him. “Is that Mama?” His voice sounds so small. Your attention quickly turns back to the woman in front of you who has stopped. You can see tears in her eyes at Billy’s words. “That is not your Mama.” You shake your head. You can see the hurt on Wanda’s face as she gets closer to you. “I can be.” She says a crack in her voice.
You start to walk towards the woman but your boys try to stop you. You motion that you will be ok as you stand in front of Wanda. “You could never be my Wanda.” She falls to her knees, her hand on her chest as she looks up at you. “I can see your hurt and your pain but you have caused so much more and for what.” Tears rolled down her cheeks. “I did it for you.” She whispers. “I would never want you to do this for me. Wanda you murdered people. Good people.” Wanda stands back up and moves towards you, her hand reaching out to cup your cheek. You back up away from her touch. “I wanted you back.” You scoff and shake your head. “After seeing what you did I could never want you. I miss my Wanda but you are not her and could never be.”
Wanda’s face twists in anger. You try to back up again but she is quicker this time. She grabs your wrist in her hands. “Wanda that hurts.” You whimper as she digs her nails in. “Too bad. I’ll make you love me just you see. Now that I have you back I will never let you go again.” There is a panic that rises in you. “We will have the perfect little family.” She looks behind you. “Won’t we boys?” They are too scared to say or do anything just holding onto each other for comfort.
Wanda keeps one hand on you as she turns around. Her wrist flicking as America is thrown back through the portal. It dissipates from the middle of the room before she turns back to you. You struggle to get free but she is stronger than you remember. She clicks her tongue and looks at you, her hand finally reaching to cup your cheek. Red whisps leave her fingers as they sink into your mind. “All mine now.” She replaces every memory and thought of your Wanda with her. Changes the fear to love. You’re hers now and no one will change that. Her magic soon flowed into the boys having the perfect little family. She would tear the world in two to keep you and the boys forever.

in the far corner of the forest II
Pairings: Orc!Bucky Barnes x f!human!reader
Word Count: 5,500
Summary: For the longest time, the kingdom has used Bucky as their number one fighter, forcing him to win their wars for them. The only thing he asked for in return after he was done was that they give him a wife, and they did. They handed him the orphan he picked on a silver platter; it wasn't like anyone would miss her. It would've been perfect if she actually wanted to be there though.
Warnings: foot injury, nudity, fighting, forced/arranged marriage. 18+ content.
A/N: I tried to make this one longer for you guys (hopefully it's not totally shitty). Let me know your thoughts about this story if you can and please enjoy xx💜💜
~
She quickly slipped her shoes back on and ran out of the door for her life without looking back.
She only realized she had no pants on when her thighs started freezing under the cold rain hitting them. It was getting harder to keep running but she knew she just couldn’t stop.
She was dead meat if Bucky was to find her.
Her wet hair was stuck to her face and she was struggling. Long branches were scratching her all over and the rain was dropping so heavy she could feel it bashing down on the top of her head.
The woods looked the same everywhere and she felt like she was running in circles. She could see no light, hear no humans and she knew that she has gotten herself so far away from safety.
All of that didn’t scare her as much as the sounds of footsteps sinking in the mud not so far behind her did. Her blood ran cold and she felt like she couldn’t breathe.
What if it was Bucky? What would he do to her if he found her? She ran faster as her thoughts got wilder because what if it wasn’t Bucky? What would another person— another creature do to her if they found her all alone out there in the dark, empty forest?
With too much going on at the same time, she hardly noticed the rock about to collide with the front of her cheap shoes and before she could even gasp, she was falling down hard, twisting her ankle underneath her in the process.
She let out a muffled sob as her tears mixed with the rain. Trying to take a step on that foot was impossible, let alone running. She wasn’t even able to get back up, how was she going to escape whatever was about to reach her?
At this point, she had given up all hopes of escape. She knew she was doomed.
The footsteps were coming closer and her foot was no good. Sitting herself up against a mossed tree, she closed her eyes tightly and cried.
She should’ve just drank the milk. She should’ve drank the goddamn milk.
The footsteps got louder and louder and her heart beat faster with each passing second. Suddenly all sounds stopped and it was just her whimpers and the beating rain, so she opened her fearful eyes.
And there, towering over her and panting was a very wet and very angry snow orc.
“What did I say, little human?” He growled, roughly pushing his own wet hair back before crouching down before her.
“Please,” she cried helplessly, pressing herself further against the tree, scared of what he might do to her after she’d disobeyed him, “I’m hurt.”
She thought maybe that would make him have a little mercy on her.
Bucky just shook his head.
She was dreading his next words but they never came because she was suddenly being lifted up in his arms. Bucky carried her so easily as if she weighed nothing.
He was mad, but she was hurt. And scared. And shivering. He surprisingly found himself wanting to do nothing to her but safely get her home and warm her up.
~
She had fallen asleep on Bucky’s chest on the way home. Too much crying and over exhaustion would do that to a person. It’s been a long night for her and she needed the rest.
When she opened her eyes, she was still in Bucky’s arms and he seemed to be struggling, trying to open the large bathtub water without waking her up, or dropping her altogether.
She took a moment to look at him.
He was so big and strong. His hair looked so soft even when it was styled by the rain. His full, stubbly cheeks would’ve looked cute if she wasn’t so afraid of him.
Bucky was rather handsome for a ruthless orc.
“Y—you can put me down,” she whispered, trying not to overuse her tired voice.
Bucky’s ears perked at the sound of her weak voice and he looked at her for a second before sitting her down on the toilet seat and going back to fix her a bath.
“Strip,” Bucky said, his voice laced with anger and his face turned away from her.
Fear filled her heart and tears her eyes as she recalled her earlier experience in Bucky’s bed.
She had made him change his mind. It was her fault for not listening and now she was going to get the life raped out of her by this huge orc.
“Please, I’m sorry. I won’t try it again, I swear—”
“I just wanna get you in the tub. You’re all wet and muddy,” Bucky interrupted her frantic plea, his tone still firm, yet gentler this time, though his deep frown didn’t leave his face.
“Oh, o-okay. Could you please—”
Without getting to continue her request, Bucky turned around, giving her his back and some privacy.
Her whole body was quivering as she took off the wet sweater, only then realizing how wet and cold she really was. She eased her underwear down as well before trying to stand up to walk to the tub on her own. Her foot didn’t agree though and she instantly stumbled forward, almost falling face first if it wasn’t for the shower curtain.
Bucky turned around at the sound of her gasp and quickly had a muscly arm around her.
She shivered harder at his touch on her naked body for the second time that evening.
How did he manage to be so warm all the time? Wasn’t he just with her under the same rain?
Bucky had a large hand curled around her waist as the other held hers, helping her step inside the large tub.
She could feel the warmth of the water spreading up her shins as she dipped her other foot in too. She grabbed onto Bucky’s arms for dear life as she lowered herself and finally sat in the hot water.
“Thank you,” she whispered yet again, closing her eyes at the cozy feeling of the nice water embracing her sore muscles.
Bucky took his own wet sweater off and just stared at her. He didn’t know anything about her but her name and that she was an orphan. Yes, he’s seen her before and he picked her himself, but he didn’t know enough to be feeling the way he was feeling about her at that moment.
Bucky couldn’t decipher exactly what he felt right there but he knew he felt absolute terror when he saw her milk untouched and the cottage door ajar. He knew the image of her getting hurt or lost out there scared the shit out of him. He knew he had never put his boots on faster.
He knew he wanted to protect her with his life.
Bucky was mad at her, very mad, but he had no intention of acting on or according to that emotion.
She was looking so peaceful with her eyes closed and her body swallowed up by the warm water, kind of as if she’d almost forgotten all about where she was or who had her for a second.
The tub was too big for her small human body and she felt hugged by the warmth of the water everywhere. She wished the water could swallow her up, put her out of her misery for good.
Bucky’s finger tips went to her hair, carefully mapping down the locks.
Her eyes snapped open and the water moved with her when she jerked away from the touch.
“What are you doing?” She asked, afraid and alarmed again.
“I’m just gonna wash your hair,” Bucky replied, walking to kneel behind the tub, “I can’t let you put this head down on my pillows.”
“I can sleep on the floor.” Oh, please let me sleep on the floor.
“Not gonna happen.”
He let himself cradle her head when she didn’t object and started leaning it back so it can be touched by the clean water.
“W—wait—” She nervously tried to stop him.
“Trust me.”
Bucky gave her a minute to refuse and when she didn’t, he helped her get her hair in the water.
She didn’t actually trust the orc but she didn’t want to give him more reasons to be angry at her, so she curled her fists tight under the water and let him wash her hair for her.
She was ashamed and had a lot to be forgiven for, no need to add to that list.
Bucky was so gentle with her that she believed she had drifted off and was dreaming. His fingers weren’t harsh when they massaged the soapy matter on her scalp. Before she knew it, her head was smelling clean again. It felt like her scalp was breathing.
“You ready to wash off?” Bucky’s question pushed her out of her mental paradise as she was reminded of her foot’s condition.
She bit her lip, not knowing what to tell him but he was quicker.
“I’ll help you stand up, come on,” Bucky offered, giving her his large hands again and this time she didn’t stare too long before taking them.
He unplugged the tub before helping her stand up close to the shower. She relied on her good leg, leaning onto Bucky for support where her other leg was.
Bucky swallowed at the proximity of her wet, naked body to his own but managed to maintain his composure.
He couldn’t quite understand what he was feeling or what the warmth inside his chest was and he could all but imagine other ways for her smooth body to be trembling-
Shaking his thoughts off, Bucky adjusted the water’s temperature for her and had her test it before helping her stand directly under the water.
Her eyes shut as the soap was washed out of her hair. She could feel Bucky moving it from her shoulders to her back so it would all get rinsed equally.
In the heat of it all, she couldn’t help but notice that she was no longer trembling like crazy under Bucky’s touch. She pinned it on the hot water.
“Hold onto me,” Bucky instructed when her hair was thoroughly rinsed.
She listened without questioning, choosing to hold onto the orc’s waist (the closest part to her arms), and watched quietly as Bucky grabbed a washcloth, rubbing the soap on it and when he felt it was good enough, he started rubbing down her arms, tummy and thighs, avoiding her privates at first.
He had to get her cleaned up though so he gingerly let the washcloth caress her breasts and ass, even briefly slipping it between her legs while avoiding eye contact.
Her eyes shut and her nails dug harder in his sides but she stayed put.
She noticed that Bucky didn’t try to force his touch on her this time. He even used the washcloth as a barrier between his skin and hers so he could clean her up without making her uncomfortable.
Maybe it was the rain she had beat down on her head, but that Bucky was much kinder and much more respectful than the discourteous one she had met earlier that same night.
Once the water had washed down all the soap, Bucky extended an arm and grabbed the towel he’d prepared earlier.
He kept her leaning on his body as he bent to twist the water tap off.
Bucky got out of the tub first, one arm still around her waist.
He wrapped the towel around her, not missing how tightly she immediately clutched it to her body, before swiftly carrying her out of the tub and onto the toilet seat again.
Bucky slipped his wet sweats and boxers down and she looked away quickly, her face heating up yet again.
He could have showered with her, but he didn’t want to intimidate her. She was already terrified enough when he had told her to strip.
He walked to his closet and pat himself down with a towel, hastily pulling up another pair of sweats and a clean sweater.
Bucky walked back in and carried her outside, carefully placing her on the bed.
“I—I can dress myself,” she told him when she saw he was trying to gather anything from his closet that might fit her.
“Here,” Bucky handed her one of his large sweaters folded and on top was a lace piece of underwear.
She looked at him with both confusion and annoyance.
He didn’t seriously expect her to wear someone else’s underwear, did he?
“It’s brand new. I had someone buy me some from the village… for my bride,” Bucky told her, shrugging as if it was no big deal but the act still momentarily warmed her chest, “heard human girls liked that kinda stuff.”
He didn’t understand the need for lingerie yet he bought them for his future wife anyway. What a nice gesture that was unbecoming of a deadly, metal-armed orc!
“If I’d known they would send you without your clothes I would’ve bought more stuff—”
“Thank you.” She nodded, accepting the clothes, embarrassed about the fact that they gave her up without as much as a change of clothes.
“Get dressed so I can take a look at your ankle.” Bucky took the now cold glass of milk off the table and walked back with it to the kitchen.
The sun was soon going to rise and she deserved some good rest. So Bucky poured the milk back into a sauce pan and reheated it for her.
“You done?” Bucky asked before coming back out and only did when he received her confirmation.
When he got out with the hot milk, she was dressed and combing her hair with Bucky’s brush. He set the glass on the bedside table this time and stared at the brush she had in her hand, a strangely possessive feeling bubbling in his stomach at the sight of her wearing his clothes and using something of his.
“I- I thought I’d comb it so it wouldn’t—”
“Give it,” Bucky interrupted, opening his large palm.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered quickly, handing him his brush before pulling her legs to her chest, burying her hot face in her knees.
She was too upset with herself for overstepping the boundaries to notice the bed dip behind her.
Bucky had sat down and was gathering her hair back so he could comb it for her.
Goosebumps climbed up her back and she couldn’t believe what was happening.
First, the orc had washed her hair and body so tenderly as if she was made of literal snowflakes, and now he was combing her hair for her with so much care that she felt tears sting her eyes.
No one has ever taken care of her. No one has ever been so gentle or kind with her. It was new and it was overwhelming.
She didn’t know if she should still anticipate a punishment from the orc or if she should give in and trust him and his soft gestures. It was confusing.
Bucky couldn’t recognize himself as he worked the brush in her hair from the tips to the roots, careful not to hurt her or pull at her locks.
Where was this softness coming from! How come she was the one getting it to show so shamelessly, and why did Bucky like it too much to stop it?
~
“Thank you,” she mumbled for the millionth time that night as Bucky finished patching up the superficial wounds littering her skin and wrapping up her sprained ankle.
“It’s not free.” He crossed his arms.
“What?” Her heart started pounding once more.
“I have things I want in return.”
The orc’s words made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. She knew she shouldn’t trust him.
“L—Like what?” She drew her legs back as best as she could, afraid of Bucky’s touch once again.
She knew she had nothing to give the orc. She was just an orphan who was sent here without even a dress to her name.
“Like first of all, don’t try to run from me again, especially with a foot like that,” Bucky said sternly, a thick finger pointing at her hurt foot.
She nodded silently, knowing that she wasn’t going to abide by that.
“Good.” Bucky huffed, standing up to put the first aid kit back in place.
“And what else?” She asked nervously, twiddling her thumbs.
“What else?” Bucky raised an eyebrow, his frown glued to his face.
“You said first of all, which means there is more,” she explained, trying not to sound annoyed.
“Ah! Well, I would postpone this conversation until after you’ve had some rest—”
“No!” She interrupted loudly, earning a glare from Bucky.
“I’m sorry, I just— I won’t be able to rest if we don’t talk about our situation. I need to know what’s expected of me here.”
“What’s expected of you is to give me a family,” Bucky replied, a bit harsher than he wanted to sound.
Her breath hitched in her throat and she lost her ability to form words. She couldn’t do that. She just couldn’t.
“But since we’ve already established that I won’t be forcing you through that, at least for the time being, I’m willing to accept something different.” He crossed his arms again.
“Something different?” She whispered.
“I’m willing to relieve you from your wifely duties, but only when it comes to sex. Otherwise, I expect you to be a good wife to me.” Bucky demanded, his intense gaze making her feel smaller than ever.
Her anger drowned over her fear and nervousness. She didn’t ask to be his wife in the first place, why was she expected to act like a good one?
“And how exactly do you suggest I do that?”
“It’s simple. You cook our meals, clean our home, wash our clothes and you kiss me before I leave the house and after I come back—”
“What!”
“What?” Bucky crossed his arms tighter in anger.
“I don’t wanna kiss you! You’re a—” She cut herself off before she could say anything more but Bucky understood.
“I’m what? Say it! A filthy orc? A monster?” He spat heatedly.
“That’s not— I didn’t say that.” She shook her head, eyes casted down.
“But you were gonna!” Bucky involuntarily raised his voice and she jumped in her place.
“Okay, fine, I am a monster, and you are that monster’s wife. You are going to kiss this monster good night and good morning, goodbye and welcome back for as long as this monster has you, and that is forever,” he growled angrily, leaving her frozen, unable to even nod as she took in his words.
“That’s not fair!” She teared up and Bucky hated that she was still trying to negotiate.
“Yeah, life’s not fair.”
Bucky walked to the lantern and blew its fire out before drawing the curtains so that the cottage was dimmer.
He went back to where she was sat on the bed, handed her the milk and crossed his arms, wordlessly waiting for her to scoot over.
She quickly got the hint, moving away from Bucky and closer to the wall.
He got into the big bed with her, the mattress dipping under his weight, trapping her between himself and the wall.
“I wanna sleep on the floor,” she said, still determined to get far away from him.
“No.” Bucky’s tone was fed up.
“I don’t wanna sleep next to you. You can’t force me!”
“Watch me.” Bucky looked her in the eyes, daring her to disobey anymore.
She dropped her eyes at once, staring at her milk.
“Drink.”
“I’m drinking!” She raised her voice again and earned a scowl, Bucky’s gaze sharp.
She tried to make it longer, but soon the glass was out of milk and her slow sips couldn’t help her anymore.
She wanted to stand her ground and not kiss him, eyes blazing with defiance.
But the orc wasn’t going to let that happen. Him taking mercy on her when it came to sex didn’t mean he would let her disobey him.
Bucky took the empty glass, putting it on the cupboard. He got comfortable on his back and locked his eyes on her.
“You know what to do.” Bucky’s tone left no room for argument and she knew better than to try.
Forcing herself down on her elbows, she leaned in closer to Bucky’s face, piercing blue eyes watching her, counting her troubled breaths as they left her lungs.
His tusks looked bigger up-close.
She couldn’t bring herself to do it. All she could do was press a shy kiss to his stubbly cheek before quickly turning over, giving him her back.
She hid herself under the large comforter, covering up from head to toe as her face burned, buried in the cold wall.
Bucky was having butterflies flying above him on the other side of the bed. He has never had something so soft come in contact with his skin before.
With a sigh, he got an extra pillow from behind him and pushed it between her and the wall so that she wouldn’t be cold.
She was too angry to thank him so she kept still as a log as he moved her back like she was.
Bucky turned on his side as well, giving her his back to hide the big smile that itched itself on his lips. His cheek was buzzing where her lips had touched and he couldn’t wait to wake up to get his good morning kiss.
Next to him, she was contrarily dreading the idea of waking up just to repeat it all again.
This was her life now. She had lived the first part of it an unwanted orphan and was now being forced to continue living as an orc’s wife, isolated and all alone with him in the far corner of the forest.
~
When Bucky woke up the next morning and she wasn’t in bed. He let out a sleepy sigh, immediately thinking she had fled the cottage again.
However, the sounds coming from his bathroom made him get up at once.
He knocked on the door, softly calling her name but the sounds only continued to get more aggressive.
Bucky opened the door to see her bowing by the toilet, throwing up her guts as she struggled to keep her hair out of her face.
He quickly kneeled down behind her, holding her messy hair back as she continued to harshly throw up.
Bucky frowned at how much her upset stomach was making her suffer when all she had last night was honeyed cow milk.
There was nothing to come out but her tummy still contracted and pushed her over and over.
When she was finally done, she collapsed back on her butt, her cheeks teary and her chin wet with her saliva.
She thought she looked like a nightmare, but all Bucky saw was fairness.
Her back weakly leaned on Bucky’s chest and he welcomed the feeling it gave him.
She was a mess but Bucky only recognized the beauty in her fragility. He wanted nothing more than to take care of her.
He helped her up to stand by the sink and silently handed her a brand new wooden toothbrush that he’d bought for himself as an extra.
He still couldn’t believe those people at the orphanage sent her here without anything on her.
She couldn’t even have enough power to thank the orc as she took the toothbrush from him with shaky hands.
Meanwhile, Bucky moved to the kitchen to see if he had fresh ginger so he could make her some lemon ginger tea or some soup to help her upset stomach. He didn’t get the chance to find out though because he heard the sound of the toothbrush hitting the sink.
Bucky walked back to her and a yellow face looked back at him before her white lips moved to say “I think something is wrong.” With that, she collapsed on the bathroom floor before Bucky could catch her.
~
When she opened her eyes again, she was back in Bucky’s bed with a cold, wet rag on her forehead and a terrible muscle ache all over her body.
She didn’t get to question what had happened as the orc came out of the kitchen, carrying a tray with what looked like a large bowl of hot soup on top of it.
Bucky smiled when he saw her eyes open, “how are you feeling?”
She was surprised he could even smile; he was all smirks and scowls last night.
“Ache-y,” she said, her voice faint and sick.
“I made you something that should be light on your stomach,” he told her as he set the tray on the dining table.
“I’m not hungry.” She crossed her arms stubbornly, still mad because of this whole situation.
Even when she was bedridden she could get on his nerves.
“I wasn’t asking,” he replied indifferently, his frown back to his face.
“I’m not hungry I said!”
“Do I look like I care?” Bucky barked, making her open her mouth in a silent gasp.
“I don’t want anything from you!” She wished her muscles would allow her to move so she could turn away from him.
He had her here against her will for goodness’ sake! Did he think a bowl of soup could make her forget such a fact? She was sick because she was trying to get away from him during a thunder storm! Did he forget that?
“You’re gonna eat it!” Bucky ordered strictly.
“Do you have medicine? I can just take the pills and feel better.” She shrugged.
“What I made you is far better than a thousand pills,” Bucky insisted, his words final.
Bucky removed the wet cloth from her forehead and helped her sit up, placing a pillow behind her for comfort.
He then put his palm on her forehead to feel her temperature, wiping the dew drops off her skin and her breath got caught in her throat at the mere touch of his calloused thumb.
“Your temperature is down, you just drink your soup and you’ll feel better before you know it.”
Was he caring or did he hate her? Was he crazy? Did they give her to a crazy orc?
“I don’t want to—”
Bucky only gave a silent glare.
There it was.
“Fine,” she yelled, as much as her sick body and sore throat allowed her.
She looked at him with squinted eyes, not believing the care he was treating her with.
Was this a trap? When was her punishment coming? Why was he acting like a grandmother?
“Come on now,” Bucky said, getting her out of her mind.
He was offering her a half full spoon. He wanted to feed her.
She had no idea why he was being so hospitable or why her heart beat so fast, but she didn’t like it.
“I got it,” she managed to say as she extended her arms to take the bowl from him.
She looked at it suspiciously, smelling the liquid in inspection. After all, she had no idea what kind of things orcs ate.
It seemed to be normal chicken soup with a hint of something more.
Bucky carefully handed her the spoon, “it’s a family recipe. I hope I did okay.”
The way he whispered the last few words almost made her smile but she bit the smile back quickly before starting to eat.
“It’s good. Thank you,” she whispered timidly, staring at her soup as she drank up.
The silence was awkward as Bucky just watched her drink so she spoke before she could think, “where’s your family by the way?”
She knew orcs lived in clans, but there was no one here, not for miles and miles as far as she could see.
“Not here.”
“I… can see that.” She dropped her eyes to her soup, “well, where’s everyone else?”
Bucky looked at her questioningly.
“Don’t orcs like to live in big groups?”
“Not this orc.” Bucky’s frown was back as he stood up and left to the bathroom to wash the clothes they had dirtied last night, but most importantly, to avoid this very conversation.
She shrugged off her curiosity, telling herself she didn’t and shouldn’t care about him. If the orc liked to live alone, he liked to live alone. That was not hers to be concerned about.
~
Three days have passed and she was feeling way better already.
Bucky has been nothing but a gentle orc to her, if that was even a thing.
He kept the fact that she was sick in mind and not once did he push her to comply with his kissing conditions even though they both knew he couldn’t get her human stomach flu.
Bucky only focused on nursing her back to health, doing the housework himself as he took care of her.
The orc was trying his hardest, but their disagreements, nonetheless, never ceased.
It didn’t matter that she was sick, she used all of her energy to get under the orc’s skin and he hated that she succeeded every time because he was so short-tempered.
Bucky was always so fast to snap and it ruined his plans of trying to be nice to her every single time.
She was just too provocative and never listened without making him glare or shout.
It wasn’t how he wanted to continue with her and he silently vowed to work on his anger for the sake of his mate, even if his mate happened to be a very annoying, stubborn, childish human.
Bucky has always been feared and he had liked it that way, but not anymore. Now, he just wanted peace. He wanted a peaceful life with her.
He had found her staring at the mirror on the third day, feeling better enough now to get to the bathroom on her own.
“The floor is too cold for your feet, wear something,” Bucky advised, wanting her to use the slippers he had gotten her, but she didn’t reply, too engrossed in watching her own face.
She didn’t pay him any mind and that angered Bucky a little, but he chose to ignore it because she appeared too sad.
“What are you looking at?” Bucky asked, confused.
“I look so sick… and faint,” she answered, still deep in thought, voice so softly unhappy.
“You look fine.” Bucky wanted to reassure her, but he had no idea how to be smooth.
He had never had to say sweet nothings to a woman before. That wasn’t exactly his area of expertise.
“I look withered, like a dead plant.” She huffed gloomily.
“Not all withered plants are dead! Take garlic, for example,” Bucky blurted, “you could be a garlic!”
He had no idea he just dug himself a deep hole.
“A garlic?! You’re comparing me to garlic? Is that supposed to be a hint at the way I smell? Because you showered me with the same soap you shower with!” She suddenly started arguing and Bucky had no idea when or how they got there.
“That’s not what I meant!” He followed after her as she stormed out of the bathroom as fast as her bad foot allowed her.
She only huffed in response as she got under the heavy blankets to warm up her freezing feet.
“Garlic doesn’t lose its taste or aroma no matter how old or dry its skin gets!” Bucky tried to explain as he fetched her a pair of socks but her face made him aware of the impact his words had as she opened her mouth wide.
He was just making this worse.
“So now you’re calling me old with dry skin? Wow, thanks, husband!” She snatched the socks from him, her face now sadder than it was when she was before the mirror.
“That’s not what I mean—”
“Then what did you mean?!” She snapped.
How dare he comment on her age or skin or smell when she was deadly sick like that?! She normally took good care of herself and she was neither that old nor that unpleasant! Maybe she wasn’t the fairest of them all but—
“All I wanted to say was that you’re beautiful!” Bucky snapped back before watching his tone for the sake of her health, “sick or not… you’re still beautiful, little human.”
Taken aback by his sudden admiring comment, she remained stunned and silent as the orc gathered his axe and fled the house to go take his frustration with himself out on some dead trees.
Wow.
She may have just gotten compared to a dried bulb of garlic, but her heart was waltzing inside her chest as if that was the loveliest compliment to receive.
That orc confused her.

shadowheart x reader
blood and injury, hurt/comfort, minor angst, a little kiss
a/n: based on this request - no use of 'y/n' or 'tav', though i am inclined to use tav in the future unless you'd prefer different (let me know bc idk what to use)
wc: 1.1k
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The stinging pain of metal sliced through your skin, leaving its mark on your sleeve and its painful etching of blood in the muscle of your upper arm.
Shadowheart watched as though time had slowed beneath a wretched coating of molasses as the arrow flew near her; she was lucky to escape its assault, but you hadn't the same favour.
The final blow was enough to knock you down. You were at her feet with a wail of pain, and she hated how she couldn't do anything to aid you. The battle was almost won, and all she hoped was that her body positioned in front of yours would serve as well as possible as a shield.
The claws of Shar had rid her of this ache - until you, it was foreign - but her stomach pulled each time a whimper of exhausted pain fell from your lips. Each time she checked on your tired body, blood-stained and gasping for breath, she felt her heart lurch. With such a sight, she almost wished you had not been that shine of light within the darkened shroud of her goddess - or that she hadn’t embarked on this journey at all. Though, she could never claim - even to herself - that she would rather rid herself of her time with you than bear her own suffering in witnessing yours.
In learning of love, Shadowheart has also learned of the bittersweet moments that accompany it. Your pain is hers, and she’s learning to brace its weight.
When the final foe had fallen, she didn’t waste a second; the cleric was crouched at your side with her arms hoisting your aching body to its feet. You leaned against her, and she could hear each shaking breath; she could feel the rapid thrum of your heart beneath her palm.
“Here,” she murmured, lifting a vial to your chapped lips. The crimson solution soothed you with minimal reprieve, but after such a tiresome battle, you all needed rest. Your lover was counting down the seconds until she had the strength to adequately heal you.
The journey back to camp wasn’t much of a trek, so, with a slowed pace and your companions letting you take your time, you soon made your way back—not without a fretting girlfriend by your side, however.
“I can’t help but blame myself for your injury,” she frowned. Her eyes stayed trained on her feet, and you could see the furrow in her brows when you glanced her way.
“It wasn’t your fault,” you returned. “I often find myself in precarious situations,” you added with a smile, hoping to appease her when she looked at you. You didn’t miss the cloud of guilt pass over her when she eyed the bruise beginning its appearance on your cheek.
“I know,” she smiled. “Though, I’d prefer it if you got yourself into fewer spots of bother.”
“Well, I do have a little cleric at my beck and call,” you teased, huffing at the shoulder she bumped into yours.
“This ‘little cleric’ may have to retire if you’re going to be injured so much,” she returned. “Think of it as a protest.”
“Loyal servants are hard to come by, I suppose,” you replied with a dramatised sigh just to hear her laugh.
“I’ll stay with you for now, I suppose,” she answered with a matching tone. “I have come to enjoy your company, afterall.”
“I’m glad.”
“So am I.” Her words were coated in sincerity, and her hand on your waist guided you in the direction of the stool beside her bedroll; you allowed her to aid your steps and felt the relief of finally being able to take a seat.
It was a comfortable quiet as she knelt at your feet, finding out the herbal ointment Jaheira supplied her with for when you get into your inevitable scrapes.
“Here, take this off,” she instructed, pulling at the hem of your clothing whilst she grabbed a wooden bowl of water.
“There are easier ways to get me naked, you know?” you mumbled, though you did as she said lest you be berated into complying.
“Oh, I know,” she smirked, dipping a bundle of cloth into the lukewarm water.
Her soft hand greeted your arm with a gentle touch, nudging you to position yourself in a way that would allow ample access to the wound. A mere potion of healing had done little to aid the gaping mark carved into your skin, you hissed through your teeth when she began to wipe it clean.
“I can’t say I enjoy seeing you like this,” she whispered. “Especially when it was caused by a weapon meant for me.”
She spoke to distract you - to distract herself, even. And, considering her affliction to vulnerability, you are always eager to listen. So you left room for her to continue.
“Under the influence of Shar, I was rid of this guilt. Another’s vulnerable state was merely a liability, and though I would tend to an ally, I would never feel their discomfort as my own,” her voice was small and even the ache of the makeshift bandaging being wrapped around your arm was soothed by her words.
“It’s a tricky thing to swallow—taking each of your blows as though they were my own. But I can’t say that I would trade it for anything else in this mess of a world we find ourselves in.”
“You wouldn’t?”
“Of course not,” she quickly responded with a vehement shake of her head. “It’s new to me, and I’d be lying if I claimed it to be anything other than daunting, but I’m enjoying the change.”
You admired the light hair she’d opted for and the smile that had stayed the same throughout your time together.
“I’d like to keep sharing your pain if you’ll let me,” Shadowheart murmured, guiding your face with a gentle hold to wipe the blood and grime from your skin.
“Only if you’ll share yours, too,” you replied, your lips ghosting the pad of her thumb as she cupped your cheek in her hand.
“I wouldn’t dare deprive you of such a thing,” she grinned.
“Have I been brave enough to earn a kiss?” you smirked, ending with a pout and a nod towards your tended injury.
“I suppose so, lover.”
Her hand brought your face to hers, lips tentative so as not to disturb any marks of unease; her tongue swiped over your bottom lip, stealing your breath and your heart in one fell swoop. She pulled away much sooner than you’d have preferred, but you could still see the semblance of blame she cursed herself with.
She pushed herself away until she was beneath the purple, cushioned, comfort of her tent with enough space next to her to house your body.
“Come here,” she said, patting the place beside her, opening her arms for you to fall into as soon as you approached.
In the warmth of one another’s embrace, it was easy to fall beneath the impended sleep. Your eyes grew heavy, and her breathing evened—you felt her heart slow with the knowledge of your safety.
“Goodnight, love,” she murmured against the top of your head.
“Goodnight, ‘Heart.”

How would your ocs react to a partner whos very vocal and loud in bed, like every moment they can't go without spouting some type of praise. . . ask, totally not based on a chat im having - 🐠🎩
mmmhehehhe... < З I LIKE THIS QUESTION DEAR FISH ANON. okaaaayyy lessgooo.... also feel free to send me more questions like this one, it was fun to write for everyone <3 deity, naga, monster under the bed, kikimora, fallen god, mothman x reader. derzena x fem!reader, the rest is gender-neutral. there could be mistakes and im npt s orrty
gavriil. — the louder you are the better, honestly. gavriil here is a provider, he cares about your pleasure more than his own, so there's nothing more rewarding than to hear your voice break so deliciously. sex with him is a praising galore... loves receiving it too! he's very talkative and mostly breathes heavily or hums in amusement/delight. if you don't want to make noise on principle, that's a whole different story. will take it as a challenge. will fuck the noises out of you. breaking your indifferent facade until you're nothing but a drooling, whining mess always makes him so smug and proud.
xiaolong. — prefers it if you're at least somewhat vocal because he want to hear how good he makes you feel, so you being so unashamed is perfect for him. loves cutting off your never-ending stream of sweet words and whimpers by kissing you. will remind you to keep it down sometimes though, because "you don't want the whole inn to hear your pretty moans now, do you? they're reserved for my ears only, isn't that right, dear? mmhm, that's it". can't get enough of how lovely your voice sounds when you call out his name. will probably tease you about that later...
taisya\tasechka. — when he's balls deep inside of you, he would absolutely not care. he won't even hear you probably, driven blindly by his instincts and desires. that's why when you want him to stop or give you a second for whatever reason, you need to show it with your body language. give him a pat, a punch (he won't mind), a squeeze. he pays much more attention to how your body moves and shudders underneath him, how your breathing patterns change. values your physical participation more than anything else. this guy is also pretty loud himself, though his noises are not very... pleasant on the ears and sometimes his voice morphs in funny ways, giving that uncanny edge to his low whines and growls.
derzena. — she will be... a bit surprised. she didn't have many lovers, and most of them were pretty quiet and/or shy in her presence (no wonder, bc she has a very... intimidating stare). at first she will think she did something wrong, or, heavens forbid, hurt you. derzena is a very careful woman, mainly because she's very aware of her sizes and strength. but once you reassure her and tell her that you're just very vocal in bed, she'll except it and will move on. she'll learn to love it very quickly, silently relishing in your gasps and loud pleas. she might lose herself for a good while between your legs, eating you out for hours and pushing her thick, smooth tongue deeper into your pussy to see if she can make you even louder.
veniamin. — oh he is so mean. likes it when you're loud just because he gets to shut you up. a hand clasped tightly over your mouth or pushing your face into the pillow, he doesn't care as long as you're keeping up the volume and writhing under him. when he's feeling gracious enough he'll let you ride him and babble all you want. until then, he'll keep calling you a desperate little thing, mocking the noises you make <З despite that, he also loves it when you talk back or insult him in return. it's the "missionary, so we can keep arguing" for him. smug fucker wants nothing more than to rile you up and then make you whine in disappointment by ruining your orgasm... for the fourth time in a row.
livy. — he hasn't had much experience with humans before, so he thinks it's perfectly normal for you to express yourself the way that you do. livy thinks it's very pretty actually, and won't stop you, because no one will hear you in the middle of the forest, where his cave resides. except for him, of course <з lets out happy chirps and clicks in return, or hisses sweetly when your little hole squeezes him so tightly. will ask how you feel very frequently, seeking your approval. might get too excited and get a bit rough, fucking you into the ground, trying to stuff you full of his cock despite you being so much smaller in comparison to him.

Cap, Nat, Sam, and Wanda had just gotten back from a mission and you had already been hearing about it on the news.
"Wanda. My office. Now." You call as she exits the quinjet, following silently behind you. You let her move past you after you were in you office, closing the door behind us and as soon as the lock clicked she was on you, arms around you waist crying into you back.
"I tried so hard...all those people...how could I...?" She manages in between her sobs as you turn around, you manage to get her arms to move to you neck, moving you own to her thighs as you pick her up with ease. She wraps her legs around your waist now as you attempt to sooth her, rubbing her back and bouncing her slightly much like you would a small child.
"You did the best you could. It was an accident. We can't blame ourselves because of an accident." You remind her. "I don't want you drowning over this Wands. You held out for as long as you could. We can't save everyone." More words that felt useless as your shirt and neck became soaked by her tears, and her saliva. you’re sure there is also snot, but you’re trying not to think about that part.
You walk around the office with her in you arms, bouncing and soothing for well over an hour before the cries quiet down into soft sobs, and then into little hiccups, and eventually she stops and her breathing evens out, she tired herself out and fallen asleep on you. You can’t help, but let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh you sweet girl..." You rub her back and do something you normally don't do without explicit permission from you friends and especially with Wanda; you pull the bad emotion out of her. She was drowning and you made a promise that you’d never let her drown again.
In the quiet of your office, you take your hand to her back, laying it flat and then move away with a pulling motion, focusing on extracting the heavy emotions that lingered within her. It felt like grasping a viscous substance, something that clung stubbornly to her psyche. With careful precision, you managed to pull it free, holding it in you hand.
The dark, swirling mass writhed in you palm, a physical manifestation of Wanda's grief and guilt. Taking a deep breath, You hesitated for a moment, feeling the unpleasant energy emanating from it. Then, without second-guessing yourself, you brought it to you lips and swallowed.
The taste was repulsive, a bitter and nauseating sensation that lingered in the back of you throat. But as you consumed the emotional burden, you felt a strange sense of satisfaction and relief. Wanda, now free from the weight that had plagued her as she continued to sleep peacefully.
"You're safe now," You whispered, your gaze fixed on Wanda's serene face. The act you had just performed was not without consequences, and it wasn't a method you used lightly. However, in this instance, you believed it was the right thing to do to help her heal.
Wanda wakes up a short time later in a startle, calling out for you, you were at your desk doing paperwork, after being sent an e-mail about writing a report up on Wanda's mental health and your evaluation on her. "I'm right here. Come here sweet girl." You roll you chair back, patting you lap as she comes over, blanket still wrapped around her. You had taken her shoes and jacket off from earlier and had since changed you shirt.
She sits in you lap, facing you, once again burying her face into the crook of you neck as You pull us back towards you desk as You type away on you computer. "What are you working on?" She mumbles against you.
"I've been asked about my evaluations on the rest of the Avengers by the Secretary of State. I tend to take you notes the old fashion way so I have to transcribe my notes from paper to digital.” She nuzzles further into your neck, kissing at the crook of it, making you smirk. "Are you trying to distract me?"
"If I am Doctor?" She teases, nipping and then sucking lightly at the spot. Your hands find her hips as you grip tight enough to leave marks of you own as a light moan pushes past her lips.
"Then you're going to be in trouble because I need to finish these reports."
"What are you going to do? Spank me?"
"You're being such a little brat right now. I'm supposed to be the younger one here and yet," You move the two of you, the blanket falling to the ground as you bend her over you desk. "You're the one acting like a spoiled brat thinking you're going to get your way." You put one hand between her shoulder blades to hold her there. You understood why she was doing this, why she needed it. Without your help to put her in a better headspace she’d never stop worrying over what happened. "I want you to count and thank me for each one, understood?" You say, your voice dropping into a commanding one.
"Yes Doctor." You start giving her a hard spank. "One. Thank you Doctor!" She cries out. Your spanks were harsh, but Wanda loved them. You had started off rather light at first letting her tell you to go harder as she pleased until you found that good slap. She squirmed under your hand, trying to look at you as you continue until you get to 10.
Once you let go of her, she falls against your desk. You move away to grab some pillows and the blanket from earlier, making a little nest under you desk. She loved the small space under your desk and at this point it had become a sort of routine when you had too much work and she wanted to be close. You loved being able to look down and see her happily there at your feet. You knew Freud would have a field day with you if he were still alive. You hand her one of the tablets you keep around.
"Here you go. I have all of your favorite downloaded on there. I need to get these reports done and then I promise you can have all of my attention baby girl."
The atmosphere in the room shifted from a playful tease to a more intimate and controlled one. As you continued typing away at your reports, you could feel Wanda's lingering presence beneath you desk, the faint sounds of her favorite show playing on the tablet.
She settled into the little nest the two of you had created under the desk, surrounded by pillows and the soft glow of the tablet. You could sense the mixture of emotions in the air – a blend of submission, trust, and a subtle undercurrent of desire.
The discipline was a way to redirect her focus, to ground her after the emotional turmoil she had experienced earlier. It was a mutual understanding, a dynamic that allowed her to feel cared for and guided. You actions were not meant to harm, but to establish boundaries and bring comfort.
"Good girl," You whispered, you voice gentle as You planted a soft kiss on the crown of her head. "You enjoy your show, and I'll get these reports finished up."
As you focused on you work, You couldn't help but steal glances at Wanda from time to time. The sight of her curled up under the desk, absorbed in the familiar comfort of her favorite TV show, brought a sense of contentment. It was a unique moment of intimacy, one that spoke to the depth of our connection beyond the professional roles we played.
Eventually, as the reports neared completion, you could feel Wanda's eyes on you. She seemed to understand the importance of the task at hand, patiently waiting for your attention. And as you saved the final document, you closed the laptop, slid out from behind the desk, and joined her in the makeshift nest.
"Done," You announced, giving her a warm smile. "Now, how about we enjoy the rest of the evening together?" The tablet was set aside, and You wrapped you arms around her, embracing the connection we shared. In the quiet comfort of you office, surrounded by the soft glow of the tablet and the warmth of your bond, you allowed yourselves to simply be – partners.
=====================================================
Wanda and you had gotten back from the grocery store after deciding the two of you were going to make chicken paprikash meatballs, a dish she used to eat back home. You loved her having an outlet like this to be expressive. You helped with a few things, but you told her this was something you wanted her to do. You watched her with a smile and mostly was used to taste the sauce the meatballs would be going into and practically moaning at how good it was. "You're such a good cook baby girl. You'd make the perfect housewife." You say offhandedly.
"If I tell you all I’ve ever wanted was to be a stay at home house wife mom, would you be surprised?" She mentions.
"With what I know about you? Not one bit baby girl. I'd love that. Maybe one day..."
"Hello ladies." You hear Vision and you know you shouldn't, but you roll your eyes. You can't stand the synthizoid. For one you can't read him because he isn't human. Doesn't have a brain. Doesn't have emotions or an aura or anything. Secondly, he always tries to get Wanda's attention. You swear he's trying to flirt with her, but without being able to read him You can't tell.
"Hi Vis!" She smiles happily. "Harley and I were making dinner as part of my therapy." Wanda tells him which isn't entirely a lie. We haven't told anyone about our relationship. Figured it would be better if we didn't, not yet at least.
"Well that sounds like a wonderful idea. I know how much you love cooking." Vision mentions and you eyes slowly move and narrow on Wanda.
"Oh do you now?" You ask with a bit of venom. You’ve always been a jealous person. When something is yours it is YOURS.
"Oh uh well yes. Wanda and I had a conversation a few nights ago about it. she had also made dinner that night and I had come to her room to thank her for it." your jaw sets and locks as a predatory growl threatens to rip through you throat.
"You know I just remembered I have some paper work to do. I'll see you two later." You head off towards you room and not your office which you hear Vision question, but don’t hear if Wanda responds or not.
Once you get to you room You have F.R.I.D.A.Y sound proof you room and bring down the armor on you windows so they don't break and once she does you use you voice to scream out like a banshee,
"FUCK OFF VISION SHE'S MINE!" You yell out. “You don’t even eat food! Why the fuck are you thanking her for making dinner!?” Getting your anger out of you the only way you can since you can't just pull it out of yourself like you can for others.
As the echoes of you outburst faded into the stillness of you room, You took a deep, shuddering breath, the remnants of you anger simmering beneath the surface. F.R.I.D.A.Y had dutifully complied with you request, sealing off you room from the outside world, providing a cocoon of privacy where You could let your emotions run wild without fear of judgment or consequence.
But even as the adrenaline coursed through you veins, You knew that you outburst was irrational, driven by jealousy and insecurity. Wanda had never given you any reason to doubt her loyalty or affection, yet the mere presence of Vision seemed to ignite a primal instinct within you, a need to assert you claim over what You perceived as yours.
You sank down onto the edge of you bed, burying your face in your hands as you grappled with the tumultuous emotions swirling within you. It wasn't fair to Wanda, to subject her to the brunt of you insecurities, to lash out in a fit of possessiveness. She deserved better than that, deserved someone who could trust her implicitly, without question.
But try as you might, you couldn't shake the nagging doubt that lingered in the back of you mind, the fear of losing her to someone—or somethingelse. It was a vulnerability you had never been comfortable acknowledging, a weakness you had always tried to bury beneath a façade of confidence and strength.
As you sat there in the silence of you room, you knew that you needed to confront these feelings head-on, to find a way to move past the jealousy and insecurity that threatened to consume you. And perhaps, with time and patience, you could learn to trust in the strength of your bond, to believe in the love that bound us together, unbreakable and unwavering.
But for now, all You could do was take solace in the sanctuary of your room, letting the weight of you emotions wash over you until the storm within subsided, leaving behind a sense of clarity and resolve. And as you prepared to face the outside world once more, you knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, you would always fight for what was yours, for the love that had become the anchor of your soul.
=======================================================
Later that night, well after dinner. You once again had you room sound proofed by F.R.I.D.A.Y for a completely different reason.
Wanda was in the middle of you bed, on all fours. You left hand tangled in her hair, pulling to keep her upright and back arched. You right hand buried deep inside her as she moaned out in pleasure with you fingers pleasuring the deepest parts of her; Her most intimate spots that only you had ever gotten to touch.
"Who do you belong to?" You ask through you teeth.
"You Doctor!" She moaned out.
"No one else?"
"No Doctor! Just you! Only you! Only want you!" She cries out. "Please...can I cum, please? Been a good girl."
"Go ahead cum for me baby girl." Waves of pleasure hit her. The only waves that you’ll allow her to drown in. You let go of her hair as she goes limp against the bed, panting with exhaustion. "My good girl. I'm going to clean you up and get you a water." You kiss her temple, getting a warm, damp cloth, and a bottle from you mini fridge.
You help move her to lay properly on the bed before cleaning her off. Then You prop her up against the pillows. "Here you go sweetie. I'm going to grab you some undies and one of your baggy shirts." You tell her as she sips the water.
You get both of us changed and we cuddle. You give her a bunch of kisses.
"Y/N?" She asks looking up at you.
"Yes sweet girl?"
"Why did you get so upset earlier?"
"I don't like Vision..." You didn’t want to look at her. It was something you were hoping she wouldn’t ask you, but of course she did she’s Wanda and she’s attentive.
"Why?" You can hear the confusion in her voice because to everyone else Vision has done nothing to deserve you feeling this way towards him.
"I can't read him; at all. He doesn't have feelings or emotions, not real ones. It's completely different than a human. He doesn't have an aura to read either." You tell her, running you fingers through her hair.
"I like Vision. He's nice to me. The others are too, but I can still tell they're scared of me. Vision isn't he never has been just like you." Wanda tells you.
"That's what scares me." You admit, your mouth feels a lot dryer and your palms sweaty. You try rubbing them on your thighs, but it doesn’t really help.
"Why does that scare you?" She sits up.
"What if...what if you think he's better than me? What if..." You can't even say it. There's a knot in you throat, you chest, you stomach. You don't realize it, but you’ve started crying. You only notice when Wanda is wiping your tears.
"I love you Y/N." You stare in disbelief. The two of you hadn't said that to each other yet. You feel the words in you throat, you want to say them back because you do feel that way, but the jealous gremlin in you brain decides to say this instead,
"Do you?"
"What?" She asks in disbelief.
"You flirt with him Wanda! I know you do!" You pull away from her touch. "He flirts with you and you flirt right back! Also he's been in your room and you didn't even tell me!? Why the hell wouldn't you tell me!?" You yell and spit with venom, your words intending to hurt, but you never wanted to hurt her. Your jealousy felt like an uncontrollable storm. Something you had tried to contain for too long and now it was all coming to a head.
"You don't mean that Y/N." She moves closer. "I can hear your thoughts screaming out at me. I understand you're jealous, but I do truly love you. Nothing is going on between Vision and I." Her hands are on your cheeks again. You’re crying against her just as she's done a handful of times to you.
"I-I love you t-too." You manage between you sobs.
"I know you do Malyshka." She says softly, fingers running through your hair and the other hand rubbing soothing circles against your back.
As Wanda's comforting words washed over you, You felt a mixture of relief and shame flood through you veins. Shame for allowing your jealousy to spiral out of control, for lashing out at the person you loved most in the world. And yet, in that moment, You also felt a sense of vulnerability, a raw honesty that laid bare the depths of your emotions.
Her hands on you were a grounding presence, a reminder of the love and understanding that existed between us. Despite you insecurities, despite the storm of emotions raging within you, Wanda remained steadfast by you side, offering you solace and support when You needed it most.
"I'm sorry," You whispered, you voice hoarse with emotion. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I just...I let my jealousy get the best of me."
Wanda's gaze softened, her thumb brushing away the tears that streaked you cheeks. "I know, Malyshka," she murmured, her tone gentle and reassuring. "But you have to trust me. There's nothing between Vision and I. You're the one I love, the one I want to be with."
Her words were like a balm to you wounded soul, soothing the ache of doubt and fear that had plagued you for so long. In that moment, you realized that your jealousy had stemmed not from any real threat, but from you own insecurities and doubts.
"I do trust you," You said, you voice trembling with sincerity. "I trust you more than anyone else in this world."
And as you wrapped your arms around Wanda, pulling her close to you, you knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, the two of you would face them together, united in your love and devotion. For in each other's arms, you two had found a sanctuary, a haven of warmth and acceptance where your hearts could truly be free.

"Songbird" (Chapter 1)
"I'm not special. Not like her." "You're not," he said quickly, definitively. "You're special like you."
“Mom, we’ve been over this.”
You exhaled for what felt like the millionth time when, in reality, you’ve only been on the phone with your mother for maybe twenty minutes.
“I’m just saying, honey, New York? You’ve lived a lot of places— dreamed about living a lot of places, and New York has never been on either of those lists,” she continued. “And it’s so far away…”
You could hear the irritation in her voice, but, even moreso, the sadness.
You rubbed at your face and threw your head back in silent frustration before proceeding with as much empathy and understanding as you could muster.
“Look, Mom, I know it isn’t ideal, but this will be really good for Maevis. I’ve done the research, I’ve saved the money, I’ve almost packed everything up– alone, as a single mother, might I add,” you sprinkled in that last part for comedic relief.
Based on her silence, it didn't quite land.
“It’s what’s best for her,” you concluded gently.
You could practically hear the gears turning in her head over the phone.
“I’m not saying I don’t want the absolute best for my grandbaby, but, come on. She’s barely five years old! Can’t the fancy, expensive, oh-so-far-away-from-your-family boarding schools wait until she’s at least in the double digits?”
That made you giggle, but you stood your ground. “This will be good for her, I promise. You’ll see.”
Your mind began to wander as you packed the last box in you and your daughter’s small apartment.
The truth is, your mother wouldn’t see-- not the real ways this new school would really be helping her granddaughter, anyway.
See, you hadn’t actually done any research, and this wasn’t costing you anything, thank goodness, at least as far as tuition is concerned. In fact, you hadn’t heard of this school at all before Charles Xavier had found you.
Before he’d found Maevis.
She was so young.
She was so young and what you knew about mutants was so scarce.
At first, it was easy to dismiss the early signs. To rationalize the flickering lights during bedtime temper tantrums. To convince yourself that it was certainly within the realm of her physical capabilities to throw a sippy cup at that velocity and distance after you had denied her another cookie. That was the only explanation as to how it could have ended up all the way across the kitchen in tiny, plastic shards…
Right?
It wasn’t until the last couple of months that you’d finally admitted to yourself that Maevis’ behavior was something different.
Something special.
The times between her outbursts were growing shorter, and the destruction that took place during, becoming more profound.
You scolding her in the car turned into blinking, dysfunctional traffic lights. Telling her she couldn’t buy a toy at the store resulted in entire product displays toppling over. There were only so many times you could apologize to the store clerks for “being clumsy.”
Then there were  the more peculiar things, the things you knew there were no logical explanation for– the times you could not only perceive Maevis’ emotions, but could physically feel them.
When she’d fallen off of her bike and you hurried to scoop her scared, crying frame, you swore you’d felt that scrape on your knee, too.
Or when you caught her trying to hide the potted plant she’d accidentally knocked over and reached for you in apology, it was her shame that coursed through your body.
It wasn’t normal. None of it was.
And that didn't matter to you because what was “normal,” anyway?
Your daughter was special.
But, even so, you couldn’t deny the fact that whatever was happening with Maevis was intensifying, and quickly, and you couldn’t ignore the fact that she could hurt someone else or herself.
You had to do something, you just didn’t know what.
That’s why when Professor Charles Xavier showed up at your doorstep that day, with that gorgeous, regal woman you’d come to know as Dr. Jean Grey, you knew in your bones there was no other option.
You hadn’t explained any of this to your mother, of course. How could you when you didn’t even understand it yourself? You would wait until you and Maevis were settled, until there was some semblance of understanding and control and routine and—
“Fine.” You startled at the sound of your mother’s voice, her words cutting your trip down memory lane rather short.
“I trust you. I’m just going to miss my girls, that’s all.”
“We’re gonna miss you, too, Mom,” you assured her. You really did understand her concern.
“But you can visit as much as you like, you know. Phoenix and New York City have some pretty accessible airports,” you joke nervously.
“Just, like, when we’re all settled in and I’m comfortable in my new classroom and all that,” you add a little too quickly.
You really did want her to visit, just… maybe not anytime soon.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” you mumble under your breath as you approach the ancient, but, admittedly, beautiful stone building.
Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters
You giggled at the school’s name, propping your daughter a little higher on your hip. “Well, Maeve, you are a ‘youngster,’ that’s for sure.”
And she was.
In fact, according to Professor Xavier, she would the youngest student the school has had in… well, ever.
You recall your first conversation the two of you ever had.
You were in somewhat of a haze, trying to process all of the information the two strangers had just provided you with.
You had heard about mutants, of course, anyone with a television or ears had. But you’d never considered that you’d given birth to one.
At least, not until now.
“I- I really appreciate what you’re trying to do here, Professor Xavier, but I-” you started, but honestly didn’t know where the sentence was going to end.
“Charles,” he corrected warmly. You tried your best to appear polite and collected as you continued to respond.
“Right, yes. Charles.” It sounded a bit strange addressing him so informally, especially after only having known him for, what? Maybe an hour?
“Again, I really appreciate this— Maevis and I both do, and I know shecould use the guidance, I just… I mean, do you even have a kindergarten at this school of yours?”
You understood how important it was for your daughter to receive guidance on her mutation; it wasn’t something you or any other neurotypical facility could offer her.
But the teacher in you– the mother in you–  couldn’t help but wonder about her academic and social development. She needed to be around kids her age, learning the same things they were.
Mutation or not, that was important, too, right?
“Of course it’s important, dear.”
You startled at the sound of Professor Xavier’s voice.
You didn’t say that out loud, did you?
With furrowed eyebrows, you started, “I’m sorry, did I-”
He only chuckled at your confusion. “No, you didn’t say that out loud. Reading the minds of others is one of my mutations,” the Professor explained, except you were watching his face the entire time and his mouth didn’t move a muscle.
Your eyebrows shot up in– what? Disbelief? Offense?
“I do apologize,” he started.
All you could do was blink at the man decidedly not talking to you.
“I try not to make a habit of reading the thoughts of those around me without their consent.”
You nodded skeptically as he continued and added half-heartedly, “and what about talking inside of their heads? Do you make a habit out of that?”
He found your sense of humor in what he considered to be a very heavy, very tricky situation, endearing.
“I do not,” he chuckled and continued, actually speaking this time. “But you’re right. Her academic and social development are just as important as refining her gift. And although she is the youngest student the academy will have ever enrolled, I can promise you we have the means to provide the resources that any child of her age could possibly require.”
He seemed so sure, so confident in this proposition.
You wish you could say the same about yourself.
He slowly inched closer to you before speaking again.
“I understand your apprehension, but, surely, we can’t send her off to school down the street where she’ll be telekinetically tossing toys off of shelves in the classroom, or forcing her emotions onto every peer she so much as disagrees with on the playground,” Charles waved his hands in slight amusement.
You chewed your lip anxiously as you considered this.
You knew he was right.
But he said she was the youngest mutant to ever be offered enrollment at his school– the youngest mutant he, or anyone, has ever heard of manifesting their powers so early, period. If there weren’t any kids her own age at school, would she ever be able to be around normal kids her own age without risking hurting them?
Without risking hurting herself?
Your heart sank at the true fear that had been festering deep within you since Maevis’ very first display of power.
Would she ever feel normal if you did this?
Would she ever feel normal at all?
You could feel your heart racing at the thought of all of this going painfully south.
“She will be able to be around kids her own age,” the Professor said, once again, snapping you out of your anxious spiraling.
“Think of this as…” he looked around the room, trying to come up with the words to convince you, “ a specialized homeschooling program. Dr. Grey and Ms. Munroe will teach her everything she needs to know, including that of a typical kindergarten academic curriculum, and as soon as she’s ready, we’ll make sure she is able to join her peers out there.” He motioned to the window displaying the outside of your apartment building as he said this, but his words implied a space much vaster.
You churned in consideration, but didn’t speak just yet.
“It’s what is safest for everyone. It’s what is safest for Maevis,” Professor Xavier emphasized.
You continued to bite your lip, glancing behind Professor Xavier at Dr. Grey, who only sat quietly with a look of never-ending patience upon her face.
Her demeanor is what finally had you nodding in agreement.
“Plus," the Professor added, "you’ll be at the academy, teaching just a few halls down. You’ll be there every step of the way.”
He’s right. This is what’s safest for everyone. For Maevis.
It’s what’s best for Maevis.
“Okay,” you said simply.
Both Professor Xavier and Dr. Grey smiled, and the genuine relief and joy you saw in their faces sort of made your chest ache.
“This is what’s best for Maevis,” you repeated in your head.
“But,” you added, gaining the shocked attention of your guests, “ if we do this, please, ‘try not to read my mind without my consent’ anymore,” you quipped, only half joking.
The Professor chuckled at that.
“Of course, dear.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Oh, it is so good to see you again!” Dr. Grey said earnestly, squeezing your shoulder in a way that made you feel slightly more at ease.
She turned to Maevis.
“And it’s good to see you again, too, you gorgeous girl.”
She clung to you rather tightly, but she still greeted Dr. Grey warmly, reaching for her face.
You panicked suddenly, not wanting Jean to be overwhelmed with whatever rollercoaster of emotions Maevis might be feeling right now.
It wasn’t a constant transfer of energy, but it was a powerful one.
“Oh, no, sweetie, remember, we can’t touch people’s bodies without asking them,” you gently remind her. She retracted her hand sadly, but you reassured her.
“It’s okay, Maev. But remember boundaries? We just have to be careful,” you tell her softly, nudging your nose gently against hers.
“Oh, yeah,” she said, almost ashamedly. “I’m sorry.”
Dr. Grey was watching the entire interaction affectionately. “That’s okay, Maevis,” she said. “Your mother is right,” she continued, looking between the two of you. “It is important to remember people’s boundaries, especially your own. You should always ask before you enter someone’s personal space.”
Maevis only nodded shyly in agreement.
“But,” Dr. Grey  added, “if it’s okay with you, and your mother, I would like for you to tell me hello again– the way you were going to.”
Both Dr. Grey  and Maevis were looking to you for approval now. “Oh. I mean…” You were nervous and you couldn’t pinpoint why. This is what you were here for– what Maevis was here for, right?
“I mean, of course,” you said. “As long as you’re comfortable with it, Maev,” you looked at her, waiting.
Maevis looked between the two of you before speaking. “I’m comfortable,” she said, reaching for Dr. Grey’s face again. “I can show you my feelings.”
You smiled. Something about her referring to this part of her mutation as “showing her feelings” always felt so innocent. So delicate. Like there was no part of this that was dangerous or unmanageable.
Of course, that wasn’t reality.
As soon as Maevis’ hand touched Dr. Grey’s face, it was like she was somewhere else– lost in her mind.
Or, rather, Maevis’ mind.
A small smile spread across her face as she gripped the tiny hand that was touching her cheek a little tighter.
Finally, Maevis retracted.
“Incredible,” Dr. Grey said, breathless. “You are a very special person, Maevis.”
Your daughter only smiled and nuzzled into your neck.
“She is,” you agreed, smiling.
“And we here at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters are thrilled to, not only have her as a pupil, but to have her remarkable mother teaching at the institute as well.”
You turned around to follow Dr. Grey’s gaze, not surprised to see Professor Xavier gliding across the large foyer to greet you.
You smiled, “Hello, Professor. Say hello, Maevis,” you say, waving your hand in example.
“Hi, Charles,” your daughter smiled and did the same. Professor Xavier returned the gesture before adding, “At least one of you remembered to call me Charles,” he said.
You both chuckled at that before he continued.
“We are so happy you’re here with us, dear,” he said with that same genuineness he had at your first meeting.
Before you could respond, assuring him that you were just as happy to be here, he continued.
“There are some people I’d like you to meet.”
You almost didn’t notice the two people next to him, which was shocking, considering one of them was the most breathtaking woman– all dark skin, crystal eyes, and hair white as snow, and the other is probably the largest man you’ve ever seen in person.
“What a hot couple,” you think to yourself.
The gorgeous woman extends her hand, an unsurprisingly perfect smile aimed directly at you.
“Hey, there. I’m Ororo Munroe, but the kids like to call me Storm. I’ll be Maevis’ primary educator during her time here at the academy.”
You shake her hand and introduce yourself before she turns her attention to the little girl in your arms.
“And you must be the lady of the hour, “ Ms. Munroe says to Maevis brightly. “I am so happy to meet you, sweetie. I’ll be your new teacher.”
Maevis is anything but reserved, so she takes to her almost immediately.
You wondered if it’s her extroverted nature that makes all of this go smoothly, or if there’s some unspoken tether that mutants feel between one another.
That would make sense, especially in an evolutionary regard. It could be why Maevis has been so inexplicably drawn to Dr. Grey since meeting her.
You try to ignore the unexpected twinge you feel in your stomach at that thought.
You’re pulled out of this strange line of thinking at the sound of the tree trunk of a man now speaking.
“I’m Logan.”
He doesn’t extend a hand.
In fact, he doesn’t make a move to do or say anything more, and you kind of just stand there expectantly.
You figured, if he’s as friendly as everyone else you’ve met so far, he might throw in a, “nice to meet you”?
A school title?
A cool, somewhat unnecessary superhero nickname?
As if reading your mind, he adds, “Logan’s fine.”
You scrunch your eyebrows in realization.
“Wait, can you read minds, too?” you ask.
Storm, Charles, and Jean all laugh, but Logan only half-smiles.
“No, he’s just a smartass,” Ms. Munroe chides, then immediately covers her mouth, eyes darting between you and Maevis.
“I am so sorry. Oh my gosh, little ears! I haven’t been around a child this young in… well, like, ever. Shit, I’m sorry.”
Her eyes go even wider somehow and she smacks herself in the forehead.
“Oh my god, I’m sorry! I truly didn’t even realize I cursed this much,” she all but screams, then turns to her friends. “How come none of you told me I had such a potty mouth?!”
You’re full on giggling now as you reach with your free had to give her arm a reassuring squeeze. “It’s okay! Seriously, it’s okay. I don’t always have the most restraint around her, either, and I’m her mother. Unfortunately, she has heard worse,” you laugh and feel relieved when the Professor, Dr. Grey, and Ms. Munroe all laugh alongside you and don’t give you that stuffy, judgey look that most people do when you accidentally (or not so accidentally) curse around your daughter.
You all chat for a few more minutes, everyone’s excitement becoming more apparent.
Well, almost everyone.
Logan seemed uninterested, to say the least. This didn’t necessarily bother you, though; you understood that not everyone is experienced with or comfortable around children. You weren’t going to fault him for that if that were the case.
It just confused you more than anything.
Ms. Munroe would be leading Maev’s academics, Dr. Grey would be her mentoring her in her mutation, Professor Xavier had sought the two of you out and was acting Dean of the school— everyone had their purpose, so it seemed.
So what was Logan’s?
“I’m here to help you get settled in.”
You blinked in surprise.
How did he do that?
“You’re really not reading my mind?” you ask, skeptically.
He almost laughed at that.
“Doesn’t take a telepath to recognize a confused stare,” he replied.
He voice was gruff, but his tone was light.
That didn’t stop your face from heating up with embarrassment, though.
Were you really staring?
“Logan teaches history in the classroom adjacent to yours,” Professor Xavier added.
“A perfect fit, considering he was alive for most of it,” Dr. Grey prodded, nudging Logan slightly in the ribs.
He scoffed while everyone else chuckled and looked down at her with a soft smile.
The way she was gazing up at him made you think maybe he and Ms. Munroe were, in fact, not the hot couple in this equation.
“Your and Maevis’ new living quarters are also located in the same wing of the mansion as his. I figured it was most logical for him to help you get adjusted, “ Charles finished.
“That, and his welcoming personality,” Ms. Munroe added, faux excitement absolutely dripping with sarcasm, clapping Logan on the shoulder in jest.
You smiled, admiring the relationship between the four of them, affectionate and comfortable.
Even Logan in his own reserved, somewhat brooding way.
Although their histories, both individual and relational, were unclear to you, they were a family, you could see that.
Dr. Grey suddenly made a surprised sound.
“Oh, shoot!” she said, collecting herself. “I have session with a student in less than five minutes— I should get going.”
You mouthed a wordless, “oh,” in understanding, adjusting Maevis to rest on your other hip.
Goodness, she’s getting so big.
Turning to the two of you, she continues, “Again, we are so happy to have you. All of this is just such a gift,” she says with that sincere tone that makes you want to burst into tears.
She murmurs her goodbye to the others, walking away, lightly squeezing Logan’s abnormally large bicep on the way.
“Professor, we should really get going, too if we’re going to make it to New Student Orientation on time, “ says Ms. Munroe.
“Ah, yes,” Professor Xavier agrees, repositioning his chair. “Well, dear, I hope you enjoy getting acquainted with the mansion. And please let me know if you or Maevis need anything at all.”
He turns to look at Logan, the two of them locking eyes momentarily as if having a fleeting, silent conversation of their own.
Which, you now realize, is totally possible.
As the Professor fades into the distance of the ever-growing hallway, you feel a stiff, awkward tension begin to form between you and Logan.
He isn’t nearly as welcoming or chatty as the others, and you know yourself. If you sit in this uncomfortable silence for too long, you’re going to start rambling and its going to be painful for everyone.
“I can show you your room,” Logan interrupts your self-deprecating line of thinking, grabbing the suitcase at your side and starting off without so much as a word to you or Maev.
You pucker your lips in submission.
“Cool. Right behind you,” you mutter a little sarcastically.
Maevis giggles and mimics you a little louder: “Cool! Right behind you!”
You can’t help but laugh with her as you follow Logan down the long hall, up the winding stairs, and into your new life.

part 2
12 Days of Christmas masterlist main masterlist
"Matt, oh my God." Y/N said as she walked into the office to see Matt all bruised, a cut above his eye. "What happened?" She asked, walking closer to see it closer. He looked away, but she was already sitting on his desk, moving his glasses away.
"I, uh, I fell down the stairs." He told her, but she just shook her head and clucked her tongue. She reached into her bag to grab the pastry she packed that day. She always packed one everyday just in case, but she didn't think she would have to use it this early.
"Did you eat breakfast?" She asked, trying to keep herself from running a hand through his hair. Because of course she had to fall for him, her coworker.
"No, but I-"
"Come on, Matt." She smiled as she got off the desk, pulling her skirt down. "I can practically hear your stomach growling from here." With that she walked to her own front desk, Karen's old one. Y/N had taken over the blonde's position of secretary, and she was good at it.
"Good morning you beautiful people!" Foggy practically yelled as he walked through the door. The man had way too much energy for eight thirty in the morning. "Y/N, here's your coffee." He grabbed a cup out of the cup holder and placed it on her desk before winking at her.
"And here's your breakfast." She handed him a pastry, because she always gave one to him even though she knew it wouldn't do anything.
The truth was, Y/N had a power. It wasn't one she flaunted, hell, she hardly ever used it, but she practiced it just incase. She could heal people with her food; how, she wasn't sure, and she had only found it out ten years prior, when she made food for her friend. A couple minutes later, the small cat scratch on her friend's cheek was miraculously gone. After that, she continued to test her theory until there was no doubt in her mind that she had powers.
Just like the Avengers.
But she didn't want fame. She didn't want to be in an elite team of super heroes. She wanted the life she had, working with Foggy and Matt and Karen when she was in the office. It was a fine life.
Plus, she was totally in love with Matt Murdock.
"You're telling me I'm not the only one you make breakfast for?" Matt asked, causing Y/N to smile. She looked over to see Matt eating, which made her happy. She was glad he would be healing, and her heart was hurting slightly at the fact that Matt had to live all alone. Obviously he could take care of himself, but she wanted to be able to take care of him, to heal him when he did things like fall down the stairs.
"Fine, from now on, I'll make breakfast for both of you." She smiled as she looked between the two boys.
"That isn't fair! I bring you coffee, which means Matt has to bring you something too. You cannot just give your baking talents out like that!" Foggy complained, making Y/N roll her eyes.
"I'm sure I'll think of something. Until I do, just keep track." Matt smiled at her before going to his work, grabbing his glasses and putting them back on. Y/N stared for a few seconds before going to work filing and sorting.
~
"Matt," Y/N said in surprise when she walked in the next day. It wasn't surprise of his presence, he had often been in the office first now. Foggy told Y/N that he used to never come in, that Nelson and Murdock had once been done for because Matt never showed up, but he was obviously over it now. No, she was gasping because she was so in shock at his state. He didn't look any better from her pastry - in fact, he almost looked like he'd fallen again.
"Y/N," Matt smiled, but she could tell it was strained.
"Matthew, what did you do this time?" She sat on his desk once more, giving him the pastry. She took his glasses off before he could protest, and looked at his wounds.
"What do you mean?" He chuckled, shying slightly away from her. "I fell down the stairs."
"Twice?" She wiped her finger over some of the dried blood off his face.
"No, I fell the night before yesterday." He told her, wincing as she touched a fresh cut.
"No," She fought back, frowning. "That's fresh blood." She wanted to say that she knew it was new because the pastry should have accelerated his healing enough that he shouldn't be bruising this bad.
"Must've reopened a cut." Matt shrugged, but he made no move to move her hand. She rubbed her fingers over his bruises, hoping the pastry she brought today was enough to help him.
"I'm fine, Y/N. Don't worry about me." He waved her off and she stood, not wanting to annoy him.
"Have you figured out a way to repay me for the pastries every morning?" She asked, trying to find a topic he'd be comfortable talking about.
"Not yet. But, I promise I will." He looked in her general direction, eyes unfocused. She stared, not out of confusion or disgust, but out of wonder. Why would he hide his eyes? They expressed so much emotion, and they were beautiful. He must have sensed her staring, because he quickly felt around for glasses before putting them back on.
"Well, keep me updated." She said as she went to her desk.
"Morning!" Foggy was opening the door a couple seconds later, which put Y/N back in a good mood.
"Good morning, you beautiful person!" She said, referring to his greeting the day before.
"The usual, my fair lady." He said in a strange accent, and she tipped her imaginary hat to him.
"Thank you, kind sir. Whatever would I do without you?" She smiled as he went to his own desk.
"So, Matt figure out what to pay you with?" Foggy asked, bringing out his computer out of his bag.
"Not yet." Y/N shook her head, looking through the company emails.
"I know what he could pay you with." Foggy looked up and smirked at Matt, who began to talk at the same time of Y/N.
"What?"
"Shut it, Fog." Matt had temporarily paused his work, but he got back to it when the conversation dropped. Y/N looked between the two, but Foggy only smirked at her before going to do his own thing.
"Did you forget my pastry?" He asked, making her eyes widen. She had forgotten, and she felt slightly guilty. She reached into her bag to get Foggy's pastry, standing and bringing it to his desk.
"So sorry, sir." She joked, bowing and going back to her work. She couldn't help but sneak glances at Matt all day however, watching his bruise start to fade.
She smiled to herself when she left and his cut was almost fully healed.
~
She still made Matt pastries every morning, however he hadn't come in with any injuries that she could see.
Until he didn't come in a week later.
The door wasn't open, and even after she tried knocking she didn't hear any movement. So she tried calling him.
No answer.
"Hey Matt, I'm at the office and apparently you're not here, because you didn't answer the door, so if you could just let me know if this is a holiday or something?" She chuckled at the end, but her heart was beginning to pound. She called Foggy next.
"The time hasn't magically warped forward, has it?" He joked as he answered the phone.
"Where's Matt?" She felt bad but she needed to get down to business.
"He's not there?" Foggy began to get worried now as well.
"No, and he's not answering his phone." She told Foggy quickly. "Ya know what, I'm just going to check on him." She said, walking back out of the hallway and going down the stairs.
"Don't worry about it! I'm almost there anyway." He rushed out, but Y/N shook her head.
"I'm coming too." She wanted to help if she could, wanted to be there incase he happened to be injured. Foggy was quiet for a moment.
"Fine. I'll meet you there. He may be sick."
"He's not sick." She said. He had been eating her pastries every day, and she knew that was all someone needed of her cooking and baking to keep away from the common cold or viruses.
"He could be." Foggy pointed out, but Y/N shook her head as she walked down the street. Matt didn't live super far away, so it didn't take long for her to make it. Luckily, Foggy was also pretty close.
"I'll be there soon. Wait outside - the doorman is a stickler. He won't let you in alone." He told her, so Y/N confirmed and hung up. Foggy was there a minute later, and the two walked into the building together, hearts racing.
"He does this all the time." Foggy assured her, but she could tell he was freaking out, even if it was slightly less than her. "He probably just overslept." His voice seemed to give away more than his actual words.
"Right." She nodded as they began to climb the stairs. They got to Matt's floor and walked quickly to his apartment, Y/N banging on the door as soon as she could.
"Matt?" Foggy called out from her side, both of them going quiet to try and listen to what was going on.
"Matt, are you okay?" Y/N yelled, heart getting lodged in her throat as she couldn't hear anything.
"That's it," Foggy reached into his pocket to grab his keys, picking through them to find a key that Y/N assumed was Matt's. She stood back to let him open the door, and the two walked in, their worries for their friend outweighing the fact that they had just actually broken into Matt's apartment.
"Matt? Matt are you alright?" Y/N yelled, following Foggy in. She heard a groan from the living room and rushed with Foggy through the small hallway to see Matt on the couch, only in his underwear. She was about to look away when she noticed that he was covered in cuts and bruises, the blood wet around the cuts but drying down his body. There were at least four thick, deep cuts and dark, almost black bruises.
"Shit," Foggy muttered. He thought that Matt would be bruised from his after work activities, but he was hoping it wasn't this bad. He didn't want Y/N to come with him, but he couldn't exactly tell her no.
"Oh my God," Y/N made her way to his side, assessing the damage.
"I was hoping you'd find me." He muttered as he opened his eyes slightly. "I need your help." He grabbed her hand, shifting with a groan.
"With what? I can't stitch you up! I don't know the first thing about medical aid." She muttered, instinctively reaching up to push his hair out of his face.
"Maybe not," Matt chuckled but then ended up coughing, causing Y/N and Foggy to wince. "But you do know a thing or two about healing." Y/N froze, her heart stuttering. How did he know?
"What?" She whispered, but Matt squeezed her hand. "How did this happen? This is worse than falling down the stairs." She tried to change the subject, but Matt moved in pain again.
"I notice things." He said, as if that would explain everything. Before Y/N could answer, he was speaking again. "Could you make something while Foggy helps me clean up?" All she could do was nod and look in her bag, taking the two pastries she always brought for the boys out.
"If you can get these down, it'll help, but I'll make some soup." She smiled at him and got up, squeezing his hand before letting it go.
"What is going on?" Foggy whispered to Matt, making him chuckle slightly.
"Let's just say Y/N's soup is special." Matt closes his eyes and tries to ignore the pain while Y/N works. Foggy looks between them quickly.
"What the fuck does that mean?" He cries, making Y/N chuckle.
"It's alright, Foggy." Matt has a tired smile, one that worries his friend.
"You need medical attention." Foggy tries to convince Matt, who just shakes his head.
"Try to eat the pastries!" Y/N calls from the kitchen.
"What the fuck are pastries gonna do?" Foggy screams, wanting to rip out his own hair.
"Foggy, how many times have you gotten sick in the past six months?" Matt asks softly.
"That has absolutely nothing to do with you dying on the couch." Foggy gets up to grab a cloth to wipe at the blood on his face.
"I am not dying." Matt mutters with the roll of his eyes. Foggy returns and gets him to shut up by wiping at his mouth.
"The soup just has to heat up." Y/N comes out of the kitchen and kneels next to Matt. "Foggy, can you run to the store to grab some bandages?" She asks, taking the cloth.
"When I get back, you guys are telling me what I'm missing." He says very seriously before he walks out the door.
"How did you figure it out?" Y/N whispers, wiping his blood away with one hand and his hair out of his face with the other. "How did this happen?" She changes her question while shaking her head.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." He muttered, causing Y/N to scoff.
"The food I make can heal people. Try me." She smiles.
"Well, you know Daredevil?"

Liam Mairi x fem reader
Overview- Liam and Y/N have been spending a lot of time together over the past few months and feelings between the pair have developed deeply however there is a betrayal under the surface that is uncovered leaving only heart break behind.
Note- okay so this is and idea that came to me and is meant to be like the turning point of an enemies to lovers story where the protagonist has been betrayed and finds out so mainly the feelings of hurt and betrayal. So yeah have fun with that one if you can! Also listening to I love you I’m sorry by Gracie Abrams might set the tone…
Tumblr media
Liam had been missing from dinner which was strange as he always made time to sit next to you even if it was to talk about trivial things. Even though you had only begun properly getting to know each other five months ago there had not been one day where you had not seen to him, spoken to him, laughed with him and for the last few months exchanged and sneaked kisses in the hallway away from prying eyes. So for Liam to be missing from your side tonight was beyond weird. In fact he always was by your side you suddenly thought. Strange how one person can go from not knowing another to being completely and utterly consumed by them. It was a feeling you had tried not to become dependant on but the strange feeling in your stomach told you that you had failed miserably at that task.
After finishing dinner and having seen everyone else, including your friends and brother leave, you knew something wasn’t right. Something was out of place. It wasn’t just Liam missing from dinner you had observed. His friends had also been absent including Xeden Riorson, which yes was nothing new, but tonight was different- they were all gone. Finally picking yourself up from the bench you had been sitting at hopefully and wistfully waiting for the blond haired, bright eyed boy to stroll by in the cocky, childish way he usually did, you quietly exit to dining room.
Wrapped up in your thoughts you suddenly realise that your body has taken you to the outskirts of the building to a small garden that Liam often took you to- a place he called his ‘secret little spot, away from nosey people’. However it must not be that secret you think as you catch a glimpse of five hooded figures, some in incredibly tall and one shorter signalling a mix of men and women within the group. Using the stealth you have fostered from years of sneaking around your family home as a child, you creep around the corner within earshot of the group hiding in the dark shadows the crevice provided, curiosity taking over your mind. The voices are muffled of course, but there is one distinctive boyish voice that stands out. A voice that often soothed you and whispered sweet nothings in your ear now sounded serious, concerned and ultimately regretful.
“She’s different to what you think Xaden” so Xaden is one of the hooded figures, you think, makes sense.
“Liam, I couldn’t care less if she is an angel sent from the heavens herself- she’s dangerous. To us. To everything we’ve been working for.” Xaden replies. Who is she?
“So what? We just kill her? She’s innocent Xaden” Liam responds angrily. That tone is a tone you have only heard a couple of times. Never directed at you of course unless you do something stupid that puts you in harms way. Istead that tone is used towards people that disrespect you, sexualise you, try to hurt you.
Xaden tuts and lets out a short breath “don’t tell me Mairi that you’ve actually fallen for this girl.” Suddenly the identity of this girl is becoming clearer unless Liam has been cheating on you, which would be extremely out of character, this mystery girl the cloaked figures have gathered to discuss is indeed you.
Liam pauses for a long moment before answering and you swear you can hear your heart beat in your chest so loudly it will give your identity away. “No. Of course not” he eventually replies.
Heart ache consumes your body. Although you have never told Liam you love him and he has never uttered those three words to you, you have felt it. You have felt how much you love him and in return how much he loves you. And that had been enough for you. But now hearing him deny the affection you was sure he felt, your heart felt like it had been crushed under your own dragon’s foot.
“Her signet is just as dangerous as Aetos’. She is a valuable weapon for them, one they will never let go. Liam you know who her parents are. Her dad cut half of us down during the rebellion and her mother was the greatest healer of all time and it seems she is set to follow in her foot steps. Are you sure her signet is healing?” Xaden asks
“Yes. I have seen it. It is impressive but not at its full potential yet. She told me that she has been advised that is will manifest even deeper and only grow stronger. With the right training she will be able to heal a body that is on the brink of death” Liam says in a quieter voice then he used before- he almost sounds defeated you think as you refuse the sudden urge to scoop him into your arms and comfort him. Comfort the man who has just betrayed you and your secret. The man who has just signed your death sentence.
“She can’t ever expand her powers. It is too dangerous to have her running around healing everyone we try and take down. We will never win when the number of us decreases and theirs stay the same” another voice speaks and you immediately recognise it as Imogen’s. She has always hated you. You have always been able to sense it, see it in her eyes. Not that you blame her. Your dad killed a significant number of their people before he was killed himself, and your mother did nothing to help. She could have healed them all but yet she didn’t and kept on healing the men and women on the other ‘right side’ of the rebellion as your father used to quote to you.
“Liam you need to gather more information from her before we take her down. We need to know more about Aetos. They are still training together?” Garrick asks. So this is where they all were you think, instead of eating pie they were plotting your downfall. Liam was plotting your downfall. Betrayal curses down your spine. The heart break that had initially struck you has now been transformed into anger. Pure loathing anger. You gave your heart to that boy, you have everything up for that boy, and he used you. For information, for knowledge, for the secret you were swore to protect but gave away so easily to a pretty smile and twinkling eyes. Pathetic. You have been pathetic. But no longer you think.
“Yes they train every-“ he begins but you have had enough. Even if it gets you killed you cannot bear to sit here in the shadows, like a coward, another moment longer. Standing up Xaden immediately notices the movement.
“Shit. Shut up” he commands
“No need” you reply “I’ve heard everything” you emerge from the shadows that just before kept you hidden in your heart break. The anger you feel in this moment is a feeling you think you will never forget. To have loved someone and then been stabbed in the back by the same hands that held you at night. To have trusted in someone so profoundly only for your trust to have been built on lies and deceit. To have sacrificed your families beliefs, honour and status only to have them proven right and you painted as the naive love struck girl. It was sickening. It was transforming. Love turned into a bitter gall of hatred.
Storming up to the group, dagger in your hand, the faces of the cloaked figures run towards you but you can only focus on Liam’s surprised, hurt eyes. His mouth is agape and he somehow despite his betrayal looks guilt stricken. “Y/N please, I can explain” he pleads with his hands but you are not giving in.
“Keep your nerves quick one!” Rhella, your dragon encourages, as you focus on your movements ducking out of the way as Bodhi tries to restrain you followed by Imogen who you elbow swiftly in the windpipe chocking her causing her to fall to the floor gasping for breath. But that doesn’t matter as you have swiftly reached Liam and without hesitation you raise your dagger to his throat. Your breath is heavy. Your eyes are wild with anger. Your breath is ragged.
“Please let me explain Y/N” Liam says again
“NO!” You yell back and press the dagger harder drawing the slightest bit of blood. Perhaps you might have drawn more if it hadn’t been for Xaden’s shadows flinging the dagger from your fingers and Garrick restraining you whilst the others watch in shock.
Squirming in Garrick’s arms you try and wriggle free but it is no use, he has both your arms locked, and you suddenly begin debating if these will be your last moments on earth.
“Jesus Christ you came out of no where” Bodhi mutters helping a still winded Imogen up who has already set a deadly glare on you. Not that you care. She is the least of your concerns at the moment.
“Fuck” Xaden mutters as he places a hand on his head and begins to pace as if thinking very deeply.
“Let me go you fucker” you yell at Garrick.
“Shut your mouth” Xaden storms over to you grabbing your chin in his strong hand causing your mouth to shut immediately as he commanded.
“Xaden” Liam interrupts in a harsh tone almost as if he is warning him.
“Liam I think it’s best you leave” Xaden says in a low deadly voice making you shudder.
“No” Liam bluntly says causing Xaden to turn around still holding your chin strongly. “I mean- no I’m not leaving you to kill her in the middle of the bloody school. Do you know what kind of message that will send? They will know it was one of us or at least blame us for ease. We are done if you kill her now and you know it.” He says convincingly but the way Liam just coldly bargained for your survival without any compassion for you or your life causes a tear to roll down your face. He want a you alive to save their own treacherous necks. Not because he loves you and can’t bear to be in the world without you. Fucker.
“Well what do I do with her now then Liam ? She knows too much” Xaden says
Liam sighs and groans “just- just all of you go and leave her with me I can talk to her, make sure she keeps this a secret.”
Imogen lets out a shrill strangled laugh “and HOW are you going to do that Mairi? She won’t trust a word you fucking say now”
You let out a grunt in agreement to that statement causing all eyes to fall back on you. Usually Liam’s eyes are the only ones you meet however the darkness in Xaden’s are hard to look away from in this moment. He wants you dead, that much is clear, and you aren’t sure he is going to let you leave this garden without claiming your life.
“I’m going to talk to her Imogen. We clearly can’t kill her now” we is the word that stabs you “so we will have to keep her alive and on our side” Liam angrily explains finally walking forward to where you stand putting his body only a few inches from yours where Xaden still stands manhandling you. “Let her go” he tells Xaden. Xaden looks reluctant but lets go. The relief to have his strong hands off you is unmatched, and you are sure your jaw will be deeply bruised from the strength of his grip.
“Leave everyone” Xaden commands and although the rest seem reluctant to go they do. Clearly Xaden is their leader. Now only Liam, Xaden and Garrick, who is still restraining you, remains.
“Listen and listen closely” Xaden whispers “you will not utter a word of this to anyone. You will not let anyone know we are aware of your signet and you will not tell anyone what you saw or heard tonight” he explains blandly as if it was that simple.
“And if I do not comply” you practically spit at him.
“I will personally kill your brother. Jude is it? He seems sweet, naive much like you, but kind and caring. I will crush him with my shadows and rip his soul out of him” Xaden says- no hint of any emotion on his face making his words more haunting. “Do you understand me?”
Water swells in your eyes as you quickly spare a glance at Liam who looks mortified. How dare he? This is your life, your brother’s life that is at risk not his.
“Yes” you whisper.
“Yes what?” Xaden demands.
“Yes Riorson I understand and I will not utter a word to this to anyone” you reply.
“Brilliant-“
“On one condition” you add.
Xaden laughs but it is not humoured. It is bitter and hateful. “You aren’t exactly in the position to be making demands Y/LN” he grabs your chin again causing Liam to finally interfere somehow pushing his hand away.
“Enough Xaden” he says in a tone so demanding and sure it frightens you. “What is it you ask Y/N” Liam asks you.
You look into his eyes hoping to see some glimmer of what you used to see- love, admiration, respect. But there is only desperation. Desperation for you to not anger Xaden further.
“You must promise that you will not harm my brother nor me. You will let us both live despite whatever vendetta you unjustifiably have against me as an individual. I am not my family. I am my own person with the right to prove all of you fuckers wrong. Let me live and leave my brother be” you ask Xaden avoiding Liam’s penetrating gaze at all costs. To look into his eyes now would be to cry and look weak in front of the shadow lord in front of you- being weak will get you killed. So you keep your gaze strong, focused and unfaltering.
“Deal” Xaden agrees “but if you break this deal your brother will die and you will watch. Once you have processed your grief I will kill you also” he says plainly before signalling to Garrick to let you go which he does immediately.
“You have ten minutes then you both need to leave before we all get caught” Xaden says to Liam as him and Garrick turn around walking back inside not sparing you another glance, like you have now become worthless to them.
It is now just you and Liam. You and the backstabber. The silence is deafening and makes you want to cry. Liam sighs and attempts to reach for you but you step back wrapping your arms around your body as if to shelter yourself from anymore hurt he could inflict.
“Y/N” he says softly.
“Please Liam spare me your lies” you say, your voice raw and full of emotion.
“You don’t understand. I had to. Xaden needed the information and at first you didn’t mean anything to me but as time went on I started to like you and then I started to catch feelin-“
“Stop” you cut him off meeting his desperate gaze “don’t you dare. Don’t you fucking dare stand there and tell me that you felt anything for me whilst betraying me and lining me up like a pig to slaughter”
“I don’t want you dead!” He shouts “I never did! I- I- I love you for gods sake! I love you and don’t want you dead” he yells loudly.
You still. He has never said that to you. “It is amazing the lengths you will go to keep my mouth shut” you reply coldly “if you ever loved me you would have never have done this to me. Love shouldn’t include betrayal and you have betrayed me in the worst way possible.”
“You think I wanted this? Wanted to lie to you? To seduce you? To make you trust me? To fall hopelessly in love with you? I didn’t! But it happened and it’s real! I would have NEVER of let them kill you. You must know this” Liam sobs, he actually fucking sobs.
“I know nothing.” You say numbly “Infact that is a lie I do know this, I know that I now regret every moment spent with you, every word I spoke to you, every kiss I gave you, every night I let you have my body. I know that I hate you Liam and will never forgive you for this. I know that if you so much as look in my direction again I will not hesitate to kill you, consequences be damned. I know that I loved you and now I detest your existence” you deliver the lines with such confidence that you almost believe them yourself. Tears that you once shed have already dried on your face and your body feels heavy ready to collapse at any moment but you know you must stay strong.
“You don’t mean that” lean chocks out. Trying to come closer to you but you just step further away
“Get out of there quick one before you take back every word you have just said” Rhella warns and you heed.
“But I do” a hateful smile falls on your face “you fuck yourself Mairi” you say as you turn around ignoring Liam calling your name over and over. The last sound you hear his him sobbing and a thud that sounds a lot like a body collapsing to the floor as you speed walk to your room.
Making sure no one is lurking in the halls ready to rip you to shreds means it takes longer to get to your room but eventually you get there collapsing on the floor immediately as you shut the door. Your room still smells of him making it harder to breathe. Funny, you think, not only 24 hours ago the man you loved led in the bed in front of you and now that bed is empty alongside your heart. Only one thought manages to keep you going as you prepare for bed.
‘I will kill Liam Mairi if it is the last thing I fucking do’
