#and more affordable#I made an offhand comment about burning man#and he proceeded to rant about how it no longer really adheres to its original principles of creativity and pushing boundaries in the way it#used to#and is now just a flytrap for the rich people who want to seem cool#and I was like…bro you’re in your late 60s what are you on about#before I remembered that he was in his twenties when burning man first started#its essentially the same thing I hear about Glastonbury and the folk festival every year#glastonbury is always ‘in my day the music was far superior and whilst the tickets weren’t cheap you could still afford them if you saved’#and the folk festival in the city is essentially the same with the addition that ‘half the acts now aren’t even folk’#and that he doesn’t think they should tout the folk festival as quote unquote affordable at the prices they charge now
