another thing i like about tlovm is vax's sort of codependency wrt vex being written very plainly for what it is. vex doesn't need vax, she can get on just fine on her own but protecting vex gives vax a sense of purpose. the subversive cain and abel narrative of it all!!!
#i feel like so often in the initial campaign that element of their relationship...#was kind of... idk not played for what it was??#at the very least the audience responded to it in a way where i constantly had to see#vex be treated like this damsel in distress character that she very much wasnt#and vax just constantly constantly constantly having his whole existence revolve around protecting her and being his sister's martyr#and that being treated as a positive!! oh hes so self sacrificing and possessively protective!!#no bestie it's a character flaw!! it literally turns out to be his downfall in the end!!

What BTS Are Most Proud of About Themselves
//This is a tarot reading. Be respectful and keep in mind that my interpretation of the cards is no way 100% fact. Don't take my word or interpretations as law//
Seokjin
*7 of wands, Queen of Wands*
Seokjin is most proud of his ability to fight against the odds. He is proud of his determination and strength to complete the goals he has set for himself. He is proud of his drive for success and his royal good looks (obviously) he is proud of his outgoing personality and how comfortable he is with himself. Low-key, homeboy just really likes himself in such a good, positive and healthy way. Hes like, "Dude, I am the shit!" And he isn't wrong. After all, the person you spend the most time with is yourself... (also, peep the fire energy for our fire boi)
Yoongi
* 9 of Cups, The Empress*
This soft pisces makes my heart melt. He is most proud of his creations. He lives and breaths for the things he creates. Each song is a piece of his heart and he is proud of his wishes coming true and doing what he put his heart and soul into. He is proud that he found a way to touch, heal and guide people through hard times. He's also stoked about the material gains of his hard work. He is proud of himself for digging himself out of a shitty situation and not living in a state of need.
He just really wants everyone to be happy. Treat this boy with love and respect
Hoseok
* Ace of Pentacles, Ace of Swords, The Devil rev.*
He prides himself on his ability to come up with new ideas and ways of looking at things. He is proud of his ability to shake off things that weigh him down and is constantly creating a new perspective. He gets down on himself from time to time but is quick to remedy that and stay on top of his game.
Tbh, Hope is always hard for me to read. It's always a little confusing and I have to shuffle for a solid 10 minutes before anything comes out for him. I pulled another clarity card, 8 of wands, and it makes a little more sense. I think he, above all else, takes pride in his hope. Hope for himself, hope for others and his faith in the people around him. We all know he would and has followed the boys to the ends of the earth because of his belief/faith/hope in the members.
Moral of Hobis reading is that he is swift and hard to pin down or put in a box.
Namjoon
* 10 of Wands, King of Wands*
This is almost a little sad. Namjoon is most proud of his ability to lead and his hardworking nature but it's a self sacrificing thing that he will always push everyone up until theres no one left to push him up. I have a scene in my head that demonstrates this. Namjoon is pushing all of the members up from the ground, kinda like a little stool, to get them onto the stage (pushing them all up and supporting them so that they can reach their dreams) and after they are all standing on this little ledge thing, Joon just smiles up at them and urges them to go on, not to worry about him. But they all kneel down and reach out their hands and JK, This mother fucker, says, "Not without you.", and fuckin Yoongi says, "Never without you." And they hoist Joon up with them. I'm super emo now.
Point being Namjoon is very proud of his ability to lead and literally carry all of the burden so his found family can live freely. #Namjoonforpresident
(Also, he found the most amazing group of people he could possibly lead from ashes to world domination)
This man deserves the world.
Jimin
* Knight of Wands, Wheel of Fortune, 2 of Cups*
Jimin is so cute. He is most proud of his ability to draw people in and wrap them around his tiny little pinky. He obviously is proud of how passionate he is about what he does but I think the reason he cares so much about it is because he really values human connection. He is proud of the way he can make people feel like they are the one that Jimin is thinking about. He is proud that he can make people feel special, lucky and loved because he is really empathetic and sees us all as his close friends.
This boy
He is proud of his ability to make personal connections with anyone in his orbit.
Taehyung
* The Star, 5 of Swords rev.*
I think he is proud of his success and the way he stands out. This combo almost feels like he used to get so much shit for being weird and it fucked him up good but now people see it as a charming personality thing? If that makes sense? like, he's proud of him being himself and being successful because of it. I think he is proud that he can look back at young/past him and make peace that he is who he is and that is what literally makes him a star. He was fucking born for this.
It feels like being bullied for being tall in middle school and doing anything you can to look shorter, but then later in life you become a godess-like model and you have to go back and forgive yourself for not loving your gorgeous self.
That's the vibe I get from this and it's so pure. Protect baby bear at all costs.
Jungkook
*High Priestess, 10 of Cups*
Oh boy. Jk is proud of his intuition. It's what got him to Bighit in the first place. He has such high regard for his intuition and I bet he gets mad stomach aches when something bothers him. This boy is so proud of the community that he has around him. He is so ridiculous proud to say that he has his ARMY. To him, success and singing and dancing wouldn't bring him the same joy and elation if he couldn't share it with us. He wants us all to know that we are his motivation, his driving force. The boys are his everything. Period. He would give up every material possession if he had to just to stay with BTS and ARMY. Like he would give the shirt off of his back for any one of us. You feel? He cares so much that what he is most proud of about himself is that he attracted such amazing people into his life and I think he is in awe of it every single day. This man is humble and don't you dare for a second think that he doesn't care about us or you or BTS. He got actual tattoos that will never come off because he is so thankful to us and the members.
Jk makes me feel like a proud mom and I will fight anyone who hurts my baby.

The Untamed, episode 48 - watching notes
I've got more tissues prepared because Yunmeng bro feelings always hit me HARD and that's where I left off last time
I find it kinda sweet that lwj is defending Wen Ning
It makes so much sense for Jiang Cheng to immediately bring up his old resentment cor the way his father treated then up. It really all goes back to that. The feeling of being always second best, both to his father in comparison to wwx and to wwx in comparison to lwj. And while wwx sacrificed his core because he thought of himself as inferior to Jiang cheng (not in skill but in worth), to Jiang Cheng it comes off as him once more playing the hero :/
All in all THESE IDIOTS NEVER LEARNED TO PROPERLY COMMUNICATE
Also the way Jiang cheng says "then what am I?" Reminds me a lot of the way he grieved for his core
You know what fucked me up most during this whole conversation?
Because that's it. He can't! 😭
He still loves wei Wuxian and he can't understand why wwx never chose him. Why he chose to protect lwj and the wens when he knew it would endanger their clan. And from that perspective, I get it. I feel like to Jiang Cheng, his clan is everything. It's only natural. He is the (future) clan leader and he was raised that way. It was always going to be his responsibility and at the same time, he always had this very clear cut role in their society.
But wei Wuxian? He loved their family and he did feel at home at their clan, but he was still very much an outsider. Madam Yu hated him, people kept calling him a servant when it suited them and told him to mind his place as such when he spoke up. He could emphasize with the outcasts of society because he himself never truly left that outsider status behind either!
Which left him and Jiang Cheng in opposing positions with no way of understanding the other's point of view
... while still loving each other
😭
Because all they were in the beginning, was two boys being brothers 😥
Which leads me to the conclusion that, once more, the true enemy of this story isn't any single person, it's society.
Okay, sorry that this essentially turned into meta. That's probably not what you're here for, but as thus show comes to an end, I have FEELINGS and THOUGHTS and I need to get them out 😅
I have another rant in my head on whether or not I think wwx was right in transferring Jiang Cheng his ckre without telling him, but I'm holding that in for now 🙈
That I'm sorry. From BOTH of them. 😭
THAT'S GROWTH!!! 😭😭😭
Wei Wuxian saying that it's all in the past now made me cry. So. Much. Because it's an ending. It sounded to me like he wanted to wipe the slate clean. No promises. No betrayals. Start anew. And ... I'm not okay 💔😥
Hey Nie Huaisang. Welcome to the party :D
Um ... what's happening?
Are they ... burning?
Jin Guangyao played with fire and got burned or what kind of metaphor is this?
I'd be about as good as nie Huaisang at hiding my reaction in that situation, tbh ^^
This is the weirdest hostage situation I have ever seen, with everybody just running around sind no one even guarding the hostages
The hell is in that tomb? 😳
Wait ... nie Mingjue was the headless corpse? And okay, the head is obviously seen back on here but ... how did it get there so quickly and WHY is Jin Guangyao surprised?? Wasn't he in possession of the head??
I.am.confused
Poor Huaisang :'(
And poor Jin Ling. He's learning quickly just how fucked up his family is 😬
*dramatic thunder in the distance*
👆 favourite trope of mine :D
It's an oldie but a goodie
Wwx understands something I don't ^^
Also nice to know that even when they're both without powers lwj will still protect his husband 🥰
Okay, so ... someone put the body there. The same somebody who orchestrated everything else
WHO??
Omg, I love how wwx plays at Jin Guangyao's paranoia by essentially manipulating him as he did others and then turns to lwj, with a little shrug and a half smile like
CAN I PLEASE GET 50 EPISODES OF THESE TWO SOLVING MONSTER OF THE WEEK MYSTERIES TOGETHER? 😭
So they FINALLY thought it was a good idea to actually restrain their hostages. Genius!
Wait ... Su She has that hole curse, too?
OHHHH
He was the one who cursed Jin Zixun???
I hadn't even thought about the fact that that was still an unanswered question! 😱😱😱
Jgy telling wwx that they were always going to end up on opposite sides is SO interesting and betrays a level of self-awareness I would not have afforded this guy
The thing is, su she raging at lwj for this is really the wrong address. Not because what he says isn't at least partially right (lwj was born into privilege and there is a stark disparity in how clan disciples and peripheral disciples are treated), even in the lan clan, but not BY lan Wangji. He's the guy who knelt before his uncle and let himself, the sect leader's son, be punished alongside the servant's son.
It's fascinating to see Jin Guangyao's mask fall
And his view of wwx is even more fascinating
He deliberately used wwx status as an outsider to society in combination with his impulsive and righteous character to further his own agenda of setting his own status as an outsider
It's like the ULTIMATE Slytherin vs. Gryffindor story line 😁
Also SOCIETY IS THE VILLAIN!!!
I'm not gonna lie, Jin Guangyao nakes some good points. Not saying he's not a terrible person or that he's not responsible for his own actions, but still he's successfully identified a lot of systematic problems in the cultivation world 🤷♀️
... and then proceeded to horribly exploit them for his own benefit *sighs*
Very sneaky, Wei Ying. I don't know what you're doing it, but good job getting him to keep talking
Xichen really be regretting all his life choices right now
It breaks my heartba bot, knowing that they really did bond that first time they met. And Xichen believed in him ever since 🥺
As sorry as I feel for him, I'm pretty sure it's going to get worse 🙈
OH MY GOD WWX CAN CONTROL GHOSTS BY WHISTLING ALONE NOW?
That is simultaneously SO cool and SO creepy! 😱
And kinda hot
On a related note, I realized that wwx is basically a Necromancer Bard and now I really wanna play one
Ohhh, the sword ghost!
😳
Isn't Xichen without powers right now?
No!!!
Puh, su she didn't kill him
But now I'm confused how lwj can use his powers
Ohhh
He's got the stygian tiger amulet?
I'm missing some crucial bit of plot here because I fo not know how he could have gotten it
I mean ... Xue Yang had half of it right? So ... is it this piece?
HE PLANNED THE WHOLE THING ALREADY BACK THEN??? 😱
Or ... not the whole thing? I feel I'll have to watch the show again just to discover what Jin Guangyao even knew and when 🙈
The way jgy looks at Xichen, there us real affection and regret in his gaze :(
Still I did not see THIS coming
He does care for Xichen, doesn't he? Who always saw the best in him. Never once treated him as below him for who his mother was.
But I dont think lan Xichen will give him a second chance right now, tbh. Just from the way he acted, he looked like his trust was irreparably shattered 😥
Meanwhile...
Wwx is tired of your monologueing :D
I apologise for the weird mix of stream-of-cosciousness musings and half-formed meta musings 😅
Also all the typos ...
(And who sent the letter and hit the body??? 😭)
@sweetlittlevampire @fandom-glazed @elenirlachlagos @allhailthedramallama @luckymoony @kyrrahbird @i-love-him-on-purpose
Tomorrow I'll watch the jast two episodes and ... I can't quite believe it 😔
I'm just happy that I'm reading the book now and still got so much to look forward to there, otherwise I think l might draw out this show even longer

ABC- For Everyone
late festivities. ll accepting.
A : AFFECTION. how does your muse show affection?
Aerith: See, Aerith is a bit odd. She’s ultimately a good person, and a fantastic friend, but she’s very out of practice in letting others in and demonstrating her feelings. Part of this is her backstory, part of this is just the hard knock life she’s led. For the most part in canon, her affection is a little mischievous, a little chaotic, being the one that goes along with your wild ideas and giving her all to your aims. But it’s also thought, letters written and wishes made, the same care and attention she would give her garden. Aerith is not a woman that shows her affections easily, but is no less devoted once you get around her rougher edges.
Albel: He doesn’t. For the last nine years, Albel has not had a speck of affection in him for anything, living or dead or self. Even his once close bond to his deceased father has soured in his heart to a further reflection of his failures. Tenderness or adoration are beyond him. That said... I think he would display it in respect, or in curiosity. For a wicked man such as himself, simply taking the time to listen to another’s opinion or invest himself in their affairs is a great show of trust. I also think he would, over time, get more physical without getting violent, like a child just learning how to navigate the world. There is something simultaneously mature and overall boyish about this, which is why he does not let such sentiments rise to the surface.
Angela: She’s a healer, so it falls on her to want to take care of those she feels strongly for. Besides this, Angela is a taciturn woman, and I think she uses her words to great effect if someone can coax them from her. Whether she’s singing praises or taking someone to task, her voice will be used to demonstrate just what someone means to her. There’s also the possibility she will geek out about her hobbies and interests with someone who has won her affections, all too eager to get them up to speed so they can keep up with her interests. The act is repaid in kind, as she looks into her loved one’s interests and gains at least a rudimentary understanding of how it works or what it’s about. Catch her with lots of useless video game trivia to keep up with Hana, for example, or basic knowledge of bike maintenance for Mako.
Aria: A more in-depth answer can be found here.
Aqua: Oh my God Aqua is such a giver. It’s in her nature to mother others, to show her affection in gifts and in tender care for them. She’s all handmade gifts and homecooked food, deep concern tempered with constant support, the peak of team mom. While this is sometimes tempered by her self-righteousness, such as her worry for others manifesting as nagging, her heart is as ever in the right place. Her affections are also very self sacrificing, as she will take the fall for her loved ones without fail and try to take their burdens on as her own. At her best, her love is a gentle and homely thing, and at worst she will let it take everything she has so long as the object of her affection is alright.
Braska: Actions. Above all else, Braska is a man who acts. While his tongue is silvery and his heart too big for his own good, he is more of a doer than a talker. This is a man who turned his back on the church and his own lifelong training for the love of a foreign woman, and who later decided to lay down his own life to try and spare his daughter some pain. He spares Auron, in my telling, by leaving him behind out of love, though it does nothing to spare Auron in the long run. Even his taking a chance on Jecht is a leap of faith that pays off in the long run, and shows the depth of their bond. Even if he ought to think things out a little more thoroughly, he puts his money where his mouth is every time he feels strongly for someone.
Eraqus: Stern as he is, Eraqus has always shown his affection recklessly and sometimes in a very troublesome way. He is always willing to forgive and grant second chances, whether romantically as seen with Xehanort or as a matter of familial affinity, as seen with Terra. He puts care into everything he does for those who have won his loyalty, and works to show it in his own ways -- the time he offers others, and the encouragement he shows them. As a younger man, I think he was far more open about his affection, and more physical about it as well. He was less judgmental then, too, and as part of his adulthood affection he is at least willing to hear out those who disagree with him rather than shutting them down completely.
Gwynevere: Honesty and physical affection are the cornerstones of Gwynevere’s genuine affections. She puts forth the face of the all loving goddess, but her real love is shown in simply being herself around another person. She won’t beat around the bush or try to trick others, only show them how she really feels for them and those around them. She is also liberal with physical affection, anything from a touch of the hand to an embrace, and for lovers there is an ever-present sensual element from a woman who must always be above such things in the public eye.
Inessa: Inessa is actions and giving, to be honest. She shows affection for her community by being an ever present sentinel in Lowtown, ready to help as she is needed or sees need. Diligence is what makes affection in her eyes, the time and effort put into others sure to be repaid even if she does not work for that reason. Faithful as she is, she puts goodwill and prayers without actual attempts to see your desires made reality in low regard, something that has led to a lot of her friction with the Chantry of late.
Invi: Reserved as she is, Invi’s presence alone is one way she shows her affections. If she likes you, she will tolerate being around you for longer than is strictly necessary, and without any ulterior motives to boot. Being observant, she might also ensure little tokens or treats are left where the person she cares for can access them, never owning up to these things but responsible all the same. There’s also the chance she invite someone into her personal space or day and that is when you know you have made it with her.
Isa: This is actually very hard to answer because in canon, we see his affection as a child manifesting in ‘I am going to roast you alive but also I will go along with your dumbass idea because I love you’ and as a Nobody in displays of great possessiveness and rage. His actions towards Lea/Axel have always been a little antagonistic, but to what degree varies between his state of being. I think he might be the kind of person who shows his affinity in time spent together and being easily compelled into whatever the other person wants. Given my take on his backstory, I think he’s emotionally stunted even putting aside his inhuman rage issues, and so he’s not entirely sure what to do to show how he feels about others on any positive level.
Kokoro: Local Blue Blood Lets Down Her Defenses In Show of Trust, Lets Herself Be Human and Make Mistakes. But seriously, Kokoro is a person who is all about appearances and keeping up a front, so her affection comes more in letting others see her be more down to earth and laid back. I have said before that she shows her love in being able to admit she doesn’t know something, but it’s also in admitting she’s wrong or made some mistake. The sins of the father have definitely influenced her to channel her affections in a more healthy way, and acknowledge those moments where she lets the people she cares for down.
Roxas: Ice cream and fighting a cult. No literally. The boy is a trained child soldier whose only brushes with softness involve eating sweet snacks with other child soldiers, former or otherwise. This is what he was taught friendship is. He’s got to figure out for himself the shape his affection takes when he’s not fighting a war.
Shizuka: Flashing cash and offered favors. Shizuka’s got shaky identity and self-worth ideals, so they fall back on using their resources to reward those who get close to them sincerely. Some who are very close to them get more genuine shows of affection, the ability to hold them or be held, and heart to heart conversations, but for the most part Shizuka is the kind to pull strings rather than get into any ‘sappy shit.’
Zevran: I swear I am not shitposting, flanderizing, or making fun of him, but how doesn’t Zevran show affection? Realistically, though, he’s very protective with those he cares for, and tends to let them in a little deeper to see the mess he is under the ladykiller facade. He can be something of a good person for them, and that’s the most he can give. He’s still a little too broken to fully form an idea of how to show affection that isn’t saccharine or bombastic.
B : BOUQUET. does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?
Aerith: She absolutely adores flowers. Her people are tied to the planet itself, and the ebb and flow of life is shown so beautifully in flowers. She tends to some both as a hobby and to make some money, and so she’s very attached to them. She adores lilies best of all.
Albel: Once given a flower by a female peer of his fathers, immediately bit it off of the stem. He’s from a harsh winter environment backed up against desolate flatland and mountain ranges, so he is unused to them in any capacity. Still mesmerized by the red spider lily.
Angela: They’re alright, but not really a priority. She’s so used to hospital flowers that the appeal is kind of lost, though she might still hang a few cheaper bouquets on her desk to try and spruce the area up. Show her a proper Alpine bellflower and you might get a nostalgic smile out of her.
Aria: Like might not be the right word, but Aria is certainly aware of various herbs and flowers from the Koccari Wilds to the edge of the Free Marches. She appreciates them as tools, but is not much of an aesthetic admirer. Is fascinated by the vandal aria for which she was named.
Aqua: The land varieties are just fine, but her love for flowers lies in the watery blossoms. She studied them extensively as a child and knows basically everything there is to know about them. Unsurprisingly, she loves the lotuses that grow on the Land of Departure.
Braska: He was never much of a man to stop and smell the roses before his Pilgrimage, so he often overlooked flowers. He’s not very well educated on the different types, but they’re pretty enough.
Eraqus: Coming from a world that was a winter wonderland, Eraqus is absolutely enamored with flowers. His master’s daughter had a balcony garden that was his favorite place to go and decompress after a long day. He is fond of morning glories above all.
Gwynevere: The princess oversees the maintenance of Anor Londo’s vast garden during its glory days. She is a friend to every flower she meets and knows how to care for any variety. Scandalously, her heart belongs to the moonflower for deeply personal reasons.
Inessa: Good flowers are hard to come by Kirkwall, at least for women of her station. The most she has seen of them has come through her work as an apothecary. For this reason, she has decided the marigold is her favorite.
Invi: As the local font of mystical and magical wisdom, Invi is well acquainted with many different plants. The language of flowers is one in which she is fluent, though it has little bearing in her choice of favorite. It’s the water hyacinth, for those interested.
Isa: The man is a Radiant Garden native. There is no conceivable way he escaped being a fan of flowers. Of the many species found on his homeworld, he just had to be enchanted by a dangerous one -- wolf’s bane.
Kokoro: Her mother is aforementioned master’s daughter from Eraqus’ answer. She could never have escaped being educated and invested in flowers. Of the many that her mother grew in her garden, Kokoro gained an affinity for foxglove.
Roxas: He doesn’t know a lot about flowers, admittedly. There wasn’t a lot of time to stop and smell them during his missions, and Marluxia was unbearable even on his best behavior. He feels drawn towards the forget-me-not for reasons he cannot immediately pinpoint.
Zevran: If a poison can be made from it or a message conveyed with it, Zevran is aware of it. He’s learning how to appreciate flowers for just being flowers the longer he’s a free agent. And he’s a cliche who just adores a red rose.
C : CHOCOLATE. does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?
Aerith: It’s ok, but a little out of her budget. Whatever is cheapest gets her vote.
Albel: First had chocolate on the Diplo. It churned his stomach. Disgusting.
Angela: Yes, but only a rich European style or she’s not touching it.
Aria: Humans are out of their gods damned minds thinking this tastes good.
Aqua: As a connoisseur of desserts, absolutely. Loves a good white chocolate.
Braska: Has never heard of chocolate in his life.
Eraqus: Patron saint of sweet teeth. Milk chocolate or don’t talk to him.
Gwynevere: It’s human food and she’s not a plebeian.
Inessa: Had some once as a child. It’s now way out of her budget but she dreams.
Invi: More fond of chocolate products. Loves hot chocolate.
Isa: His body is a temple and only cheat days permit a chocolate/nuts candy bar.
Kokoro: Eh. Not a huge sweets person, but a rich chocolate cake has her number.
Roxas: If it’s not sea salt ice cream don’t fuckin talk to him.
Zevran: Thinks Aria is fucking crazy and any chocolate is good chocolate.

HENRIK — personality types.
zodiac: pisces
“ pisces is a sensitive water sign, ruled by the planet neptune. your sign is fluid and tends to be sympathetic to the underdog. it’s so easy for you to feel other people’s experiences that they can obscure your own. you can be vague and escapist, but make up for it by being compassionate and intuitive. self-care doesn’t always come naturally to you, but it’s incredibly important.
... pisces may seem quiet but they are incredibly strong and have a very strong sense of right and wrong. their moral compass, along with their gut, guides them well. this zodiac sign is characterized by empathy and expressed emotional capacity. a pisces is rarely lonely when they are by themselves, and have an active imagination.
... pisces tend to take in everything around them, and they are great people to ask for advice on pretty much anything. while pisces has strong convictions about the best way for them to live, they have a "live and let live" approach when it comes to others, and are accepting and nonjudgmental of all. pisces are also selfless, they are always willing to help others, without hoping to get anything back. ”
hogwarts house: hufflepuff ( -gryffindor hatstall )
hufflepuff is the most inclusive among the four houses; valuing hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its students.
“ students belonging to this house are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, honest and rather impartial. hufflepuffs are known to have a strong moral code, and a sense of right and wrong. hufflepuffs are usually accepting of everyone. students in hufflepuff are known to value everyone and treat them as equal. ”
patronus: dragon
fuck man idk i don’t have a lengthy explanation for this one other than the fact that its HICCUP so obv he’s gonna have a dragon patronus
myers briggs: INFP-T
mediators - quiet, private, free spirits who view life as an endless series of idealistic possibilities waiting to be realized
“ mediators value authenticity, empathy, and harmony. these personalities tend to act with the best of intentions, and they are rightly proud of this trait. that said, they may feel isolated or discouraged when other people don’t share their idealism. following tradition holds little appeal for the INFP; they prefer to do their own exploration of values and ideas, and decide for themselves what seems right. INFPs are often offbeat and unconventional, but they feel no desire to conform. the INFP would rather be true to themselves than try to fit in with the crowd.
... INFPs are accepting and nonjudgmental in their treatment of others, believing that each person must follow their own path. they are flexible and accommodating, and can often see many points of view. it is important to the INFP to support other people; however, the INFP may react strongly if they feel their own values are being violated. ”
... although mediators might want to help everyone, they may need to focus their attention and energy on one worthy cause at a time. otherwise, they can become so overwhelmed by all the problems they can’t fix that they’re tempted to give up on even trying ”
strengths: thoughtful, generous, open minded, creative, passionate, loyal to their values
weaknesses: overly idealistic, self critical, impractical, emotionally driven, conflict averse, difficult to get to know
enneagram: 2 ( wing 1 ) “ the companion ”
“ twos are empathetic, sincere, and warm-hearted. they are friendly, generous, and self-sacrificing, but can also be sentimental, flattering, and people-pleasing. they are well-meaning and driven to be close to others, but can slip into doing things for others in order to be needed. they typically have problems with possessiveness and with acknowledging their own needs.
... perhaps the biggest obstacle facing twos in their inner work is having to face their underlying center fear of worthlessness. beneath the surface, they fear that they are without value in themselves, and so they must be or do something extraordinary in order to win love and acceptance from others. unhealthy twos seek validation of their worth by obeying their superego’s demands to sacrifice themselves for others.
... when twos are healthy and in balance, they really are loving, helpful, generous, and considerate. people are drawn to them like bees to honey. healthy twos warm others in the glow of their hearts. they enliven others with their appreciation and attention, helping people to see positive qualities in themselves that they had not previously recognized. in short, healthy twos are the embodiment of “the good parent” that everyone wishes they had: someone who sees them as they are, understands them with immense compassion, helps and encourages with infinite patience, and is always willing to lend a hand—while knowing precisely how and when to let go. healthy twos open our hearts because theirs are already so open and they show us the way to be more deeply and richly human. ”
strengths:
recognizing the needs of others
awareness of their own growth areas
focusing and giving attention to present tasks
offering support and encouragement
weaknesses:
being highly self-critical or insecure in trying times
seeking praise from others
ignoring and sacrificing their own personal needs
difficulty facing criticism from other people
love language: acts of service
henrik is very much an acts of service kind of dude - he’ll do a million little things to show he cares, awkward and shy as he may be. oh do you need help with your homework ? oh can i fix that thing for you ? oh here do you need me to design this entire thing for you to solve that one small problem you mentioned offhandedly like once ? though, he is partial to physical touch as well when it comes to the receiving end
alignment: neutral good
“ neutral goods value both personal freedom and adherence to laws. they feel that too many laws may unnecessarily restrict the freedom of good beings. they also believe that too much freedom may not protect society as a whole and encourage counterproductive divisions and in-fighting. these characters value life and freedom above all else, and despise those who would deprive others of them. they are not vicious or vindictive, but are people driven to right injustice. to a neutral good being, life and the assurance of other creatures' rights take precedence over all else ”
character inspo: ??? i feel like i’m dropping the ball on henriks asdf but i actually hadn’t had any characters at the forefront of my mind for him ? and i’m too lazy to search it out oops maybe i’ll update this later
pinterest: henrik haddock iiii.

Oozora Yuujin: Double Standard in Digimon/Appmon Fandom
Seriously, why is no one talking about this?
If you watch Tri and Appmon more carefully, you'll find that Oozora Yuujin has pretty much experienced ALL the Tri girls' main problems.
1. Yuujin and Meiko: Being hurt both physically and mentally because of their cute, problematic partners.
But compared to Meiko who can only cry and run, Yuujin (despite his low self-esteem, just like Meiko’s) has guts to stop Shutmon using his own body.
2. Yuujin and Sora: Caring for others while neglecting themselves.
Worse, when they can't solve their own problems by themselves, they will pretend like they can handle everything on their own. At least, Yuujin finally opens up to welcome the others’ help, rather than throws himself into more trouble like Sora does. It's not all Sora's fault, though. Haru and the others are doing it right when they offer Yuujin help. While Taichi and Yamato can only complain and make Sora feel worse (Just imagine if it was Takeru who talked to her. The story would be different).
That being said, Yuujin still ends up diving by himself into danger to save Offmon, and needs Haru and Globemon to rescue them.
3. Yuujin and Hikari: Being possessed by god-like, balance-seeking yet destructive digital entities.
Hikari, while her body is being taken over, still manages to resist Homeostasis from inside. Yuujin? Indeed, he manages to take over half of his body when being controlled, to call Haru’s name. But when Leviathan finally takes full charge of him, he helplessly lets Haru do everything, until Leviathan offers Haru to save the world by killing them both.
4. Yuujin and Mimi: Being alienated in new environments.
We see Mimi get rejected by her new friends for her Daters Cafe, but still able to stay believing in herself and her ideal. While little Yuujin reacts to being rejected (even by someone he barely knows) as if no one would ever want to have him around again. Until Haru comes and helps him through it.
See the similarities and differences now?
This is only my guess, but the writers might intentionally put Yuujin through these "girls problems", to let us see the real Yuujin, which is not as perfect as he seems to be.
But why should "girls problems"? Why not giving him more masculine problems, such as unable to protect younger sibling, rivalry, or being a good leader, like Taichi and Yamato used to struggle with? Doesn't Yuujin resemble those two? An active, popular protagonist-like boy? They still can show Yuujin's flaws through "boys problems", right? So, why should "girls problems"?
I will try to answer this later, but let me get something straight first.
I enjoy Appmon. But I am sick seeing Yuujin being treated by the fandom as Taichi's expy (even after the plot reveals his vulnerability without Haru) just because he plays soccer, is a boy, and is said to be an ideal protagonist, when there is already Sora, whom Yuujin obviously shares more similar traits with, rather than with Taichi.
"But Yuujin can't be Sora's expy! Because Yuujin is portrayed as a popular, active masculine sportsman, and Sora is a girl just too motherly to be compared to one."
Yeah, right. You must forget how Sora was when she was a kid (she even played soccer too, for God’s sake!). And you didn't truly watch how Yuujin and Offmon's interaction went. If Yuujin can't be called as a patient, loving parent that is succeed in bringing up the cowardly Offmon to be a capable fighter, I don't know what he is to Offmon.
I'm not saying that Yuujin should have been a girl, to make his character and this show proper. I'm also not saying that Taichi is better than Yuujin, or the girls. The point is, Taichi is the base character for most Digimon protagonists. And Yuujin, if he was really modeled after Taichi, should have faced those "girls problems" above with much more protagonist-like ways, like Mimi or Hikari does (who are not even the protagonists).
But, nah. Yuujin turns out to be a woobie, fragile distressed damsel. Something that Taichi would never become, but Sora and Meiko would.
And that is NOT a bad thing either. Personally, I never see any characters as bad. If they are written like that, then that's how they are. The only thing that can ruin the characters is either the writers' bad writing, unreasonable inconsistency, or the audience's high expectation. And those, of course, are not the characters' faults (I'm looking at you, 02-Sora).
However, Appmon writers are bunch of talents (or rather, trolls) that trick the audience to think of Yuujin as the Taichi for the un-Taichi-like protagonist: Haru. They also seem to be aware on how the double standard between boys and girls works, and use it to surprise the audience.
Writer A: Let's write a wimpy, shy introverted main character for the new Digimon series Writer B: All right, but sure he would overcome his weakness, take a level in badass, and save the world, right? Writer A: Of course. And that's why he would need “someone special” to be rescued from the baddies. It would mature him dramatically in no time. Writer C: Oh, a love interest! Interesting! *writes Ai-chan* Here she is! What do you say? Writer A: She's cute. But looks boring. Please make another. Writer C: *writes Eri* Here! Another one, but stronger and more confident. She would help the wimpy main character to grow a backbone. Writer A: Is she going to be kidnapped? Writer C: Well, maybe. That's how it usually works, right? Writer A: No, scrap that. It would reduce this show into another chickification trash. The older audience have had enough of that. Writer B: Hey guys, hear me out. Make another one like Eri. Strong, confident, and kind. But this time, change her into a boy. There wouldn't be any chickification if the victim was a boy. The older audience would never expect it either. They might not even realize.
I’ve seen some comments complaining about how Yuujin and Offmon had stolen the spotlight from Haru. But no one seems to ever complain about Yuujin’s “chickification”, which rendered him almost useless in the Ultimate 4 arc and the last arc (except for being Haru’s living emotional crutch and maybe, fetish fuel, as him being crucified under a time bomb, or put into bondage suit while being possessed/mind-controlled, seems to be well-received among his fans).
On the other hand, Eri impressively freeing herself from Knight is considered as a very compelling point that some even regard her as the best DigiGirl ever. If Eri ended up in Yuujin’s position, she would promptly be accused for being another chickification victim, like Sora, Izumi, and Nene.
Appmon cleverly avoids itself from being tagged with chickification trope, by subjecting a boy (Yuujin) to it. And not just a boy. He's (seemed to be)confident, active, kind, brave, protective, patient, one of the chosen ones, able to kick ass, in short: almost perfect protagonist-like boy.
If Yuujin was a girl, in this kind of kids/shonen anime, even with a "weak" protagonist like Haru; admit it.The way how she was treated throughout the series: being so much devoted to a boy, to the level being distressed, kidnapped, possessed, and finally sacrificed for the said boy’s character development, would be a “very annoying, yet unsurprising thing” to see, since Digimon has quite reputation in chickifiying its action girls.
Girl!Yuujin would be deemed as a Mary Sue subjected to the most severe chickification that Digimon series had ever done. No “female Taichi” would ever be tagged to her. Even if she played soccer and wore goggle.
Regardless of the special treatment Yuujin got from the fandom because of his gender, Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters, though might not be the best series, still nails at what it specializes the most. Surprising the audience while staying to be faithful to the plot and the characteristics of its casts.
No one would ever think that Yuujin being broken is the price that Haru has to pay, in order to grow himself as a real protagonist. Most audience might have expected that Yuujin would be Haru's mentor (or at least, rival) since he has already been a “protagonist” from beginning. But haha. Let alone mentoring, Yuujin has been always depending on Haru, like Haru is the whole world to him. Turns out Haru also feels the same way toward Yuujin. But instead of depending on, Haru chooses to be a protagonist (hero) that Yuujin can depend on, to make up for the fact that he can't save him from Leviathan.
Appmon last episode is pretty much an antithesis to what it appears to be in the first episode. "Yuujin the confident hero and Haru the kindhearted side-character" has been flipped to "Yuujin the selfless, sacrificial lamb and Haru the dependable, determined hero".
More impressively, this ending doesn't come out nowhere. Yuujin himself admits that he has always been saved by Haru, both physically and mentally. This pattern is used throughout the series, yet a bit contradicted in the last episode.
In the last arc, the writers makes Haru rise up with determination to save Yuujin as usual, only to be forced to kill him off, in order to stay being a real protagonist and save the world (very cruel scenario, if you ask me).
Last but not least. Yuujin never sees himself as a protagonist, or a hero, or a leader. He is just forced to be seen as one, despite his fragile heart and weak mental, which people tend to shrug off because of his first impression as the polar opposite of the un-Taichi-like protagonist, Haru. And that explains why Yuujin is so easy to be destroyed, unlike Haru.
Yuujin is right. He's no protagonist. Haru is the real protagonist.

Broken
Hanzo Shimada, in many ways and respects, was a broken man. He could never discern who he truly was, pulled by so many desires, motivations and regrets. But he was taught that to appear confused and lost was a sign of weakness; unacceptable for the one who was meant to be the heir of the Shimada clan.
And so he never figured himself out. Never explored his inner self and consciousness. The parts that he could count as his true self were buried deep under the countless teachings the Elders drilled and grinded excruciatingly into his mind.
Honour. Obedience. Strength. Discipline. Rules. Respect.
The only times he slipped was when he was with his little brother, his little Sparrow. His love for his brother was his rebellion: taking on more responsibilities so that Genji could slip from his duties, sneaking the younger Shimada little treats from the kitchen, joining him in little childhood games even though Hanzo knew he was too old to be seen playing them anymore.
Oh he did resent his brother, Hanzo was only human after all.
The older Shimada brother was jealous of the freedom and the carefreeness his brother enjoyed. He was jealous of the times his Father pretended to not notice Genji being noticeably absent from his duty, while he was watched closely like a hawk. He was jealous of his brother knowing who he was, what he wanted, and how willing he was to fight for it. He was jealous of the inner strength that Genji possessed and he didn't.
And yet, his love and desire to protect the light in his brother's hazel eyes was stronger.
At least he thought it was. At least he thought it was as "honour" compelled him to raise the sword, as "respect" told him that the Elders were right in their judgement, as "strength" bested the weakness of the fallen Sparrow before him....
As "pride" prevented him from accepting that the cyborg before him was his brother, from accepting fully that he was wrong all along, from accepting that his quest for redemption has long been twisted by denial, the flaws and the blind crusade that he set out on.
"Brother..." the familiar voice, now tinged with a definite robotic undertone, called him back to the present. Hanzo's eyes registered the sight of the cyborg ninja before him, the green glow of the visor pulsing gently... as if what Hanzo could almost imagine as concern. The archer bit his tongue.
Why? Why was his first immediate response to snipe at his brother, the brother he had thought and claimed to love? Perhaps he was really the asshole people see him to be, the piece of work that seemingly regrets his actions but never genuinely makes up for it... pulled, ripped and torn in many directions he was.
“Brother...you already know that you have to forgive yourself."
Forgiveness? How can anyone forgive an unrepentant and disoriented fuck like he was. Least of all the victim of his biggest fucking mistake.
“Do you remember the time by the koi pond that one autumn day, a year before Father passed away?" Genji asked with a humourless chuckle. Hanzo couldn't remember which day it was, the memories of his childhood home seared over by that one last memory.
“I asked you why didn't you have any more time to play with me anymore. You had the most sad and complicated expression on your face, brother. A mixture of envy, sadness, determination and most of all... love. You told me, 'I work harder so that you will have the best and happiest childhood that I'll never have, Sparrow.'"
The former Shimada heir's heart throbbed painfully. And he broke that promise. With his own bloody hands.
"That day, I saw my older brother who loved me above all things in his life, someone so willing to sacrifice himself for the happiness of others. I thought that day, that I had the best brother anyone could ask for."
"... but the day you were sent to kill me..."
Hanzo felt his heart clenched harder, his body tensing at the pain and regret of the memory. Cold metal fingers touched his left shoulder. The archer flinched, violently squashing the instinctual desire to attack the owner of the hand.
“That day, I saw my older brother torn apart at the seams, so lost, unsure and alone in his fear and position. He didn't know who he was and the voices in his head wouldn't stop screaming at him. And I thought that day, that if my brother has sacrificed so much for me, at the cost of never knowing himself, I hope that my death would at least quieten the voices in his head."
The archer trembled, tears clouding his eyes as he bowed his head. He was not worthy. He was so not fucking worthy. The voices didn't quieten, he just pretended that they weren't there as he clung to the broken shattered pieces of "honour" and "redemption", contradicting himself with every fucking step of the way.
"And I'm glad I didn't." Hanzo could hear some shifting, the sounds of someone coming closer. "Don't." He choked out.
"It pains me to see what you have become. You began a path to redeem yourself, whilst losing yourself further. You began to sacrifice more for the brother you thought dead. If I was truly dead, I would have been extremely sad that I gave my life for this."
Cybernetic feet entered the archer's blurred vision. "I won't let you sarcrifice yourself needlessly anymore."
“I no longer sacrifice. I never have. Do not paint me as a martyr. I am already selfish, I am nothing but a selfish piece of unworthy scum." Hanzo spat.
“Selfish? You are drowning in your own poison, brother. I would call that self-inflicted abuse." "It's for the best. I know no other way." The words uttered tasted familiarly bitter.
“Then I will show you a better way, Anija." Hearing the endearment, from a familiar and yet slightly different voice, knocked the wind out of Hanzo's lungs. Memories of happy times in another life flickered through his mind. No... no!
The archer spun around abruptly and stormed out of the room, a stray tear tracing its way down his face.
“Anija, would we be friends forever?"
“Of course little Sparrow. We are more than friends, we are brothers. Your blood is my blood. We will have good times and bad times aplenty but we shall always weather them together."
“Yeah! Together!"
A/N: Wrote this on the plane on my first ever long trip on my own to study in England. Wrecked with anxiety and listening to One More Light on repeat, I thought back to a conversation I had with one of my dearest Overwatch friends. It was about how Hanzo always seemed to contradict himself and to me, he looked to be someone who doesn't know who he is. This is not to say that Hanzo's character can be simplified and justified by saying that he is just a lost man (for all the admittedly kinda jerk-esque behaviour he does), it is simply my interpretation of it (without having much to reference on the plane), superficial it may be.

I’m taking a break from drawing to type, because I guess I hate my hands???
Whatever I’m done with the bullshit time for other bullshit
Here’s a bunch of worldbuilding questions that I’m answering for Clark Monroe, private detective and accidental blood mage
Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with? Clark has his older brother Brandon, and his younger siblings Julie and Charlie. Clark is closest with Charlie because A) He still lives in Leviathan so they get to hang out a lot and B) Brandon’s over-competitiveness and Julie’s brattiness (which she’s grown out of) kept Charlie from hanging out with his siblings except his very chill second oldest sibling.
What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like? A little bit of that new england bostonian kind of “oh, ma” kind of thing. He’s a little exasperated at her a lot because she still tends to treat her kids like they’re kids, but he knows she means her best and is looking out for them still.
What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like? Kind of respectful, but lightly distant. Clark definitely gained his love of noir movies from his dad, but neither of them are particularly great communicators. That said, when Clark suddenly quit his job on the force (due to a very messy divorce), he was ready and able to quickly secure him a job as a landlord (that kind of fell off with time) and he helped get a private detective office.
Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know? One time he shot a man in self defense and gained magic powers Less of a sudden change in self and more a massive realization of something that’s been happening his entire life, but yes. It takes place a fair amount of the way within his story so I don’t want to out and out say it, but Charlie is the first to know and keeps it secret until Clark tells the rest of his friends/family.
On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets? Phone, wallet, several kinds of keys and keyrings, and a small notepad + pen.
Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams? Sometimes he dreams about the lives of the people who were sacrificed in the ritual he accidentally finished. Usually once he realizes it, it turns into a mishmash of their lives, his, and various experiences and memories mixing themselves together.
Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares? Sometimes he also dreams about their deaths too.
Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target? He was a cop, so yes. His mom kept him from even getting near a gun until high school, where he started practicing on a shooting range with nothing larger than a pistol.
Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up? He’s a little more broke than he was before, but considering he’s still got a hell of a lot of job and financial security he’s still pretty well off. Not suburban castle rich like Brandon, but doing pretty well.
Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing? Clark will go to a beach in a tshirt, maybe a very conservative chopped tshirt bro tank if he’s gonna be somewhere really hot. He’s really uncomfortable with his shirt off in front of other people and he doesn’t really know why.
In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been? I said it earlier as a joke, but literally singlehandedly stumbling your way into an occult ritual and having to shoot a crazy dude in self defense while lights swarm around him, leading said lights to swarm around you and lift you into the air before turning your gun into gold and sending out a shockwave that breaks windows before it all goes into your body is super terrifying when you have 0 context for the supernatrual and suddenly it’s all happening to you.
In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been? The week after his honeymoon. No more upcoming events, no deadlines, no nothing but a break from work and relaxing with his wife.
Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way? It makes him nervous about where the blood came from and he thinks it’s gross to touch, but otherwise he’s completely fine.
Does your character remember names or faces easier? Faces, but he has a fantastic memory either way.
Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not? No, because he’s managed to get himself into positions where he doesn’t really need a lot of capital or physical items for his job. He likes jewelry and jewelry making, and starts to take that interest from “quiet shame” to “thing I enjoy” when he learns he’s good at enchantment spells, but it’s more for utility than aesthetics and he’ll gladly enchant something ugly/cheap if it has a strong enough emotional connection to the person (because that usually makes the spell way stronger).
Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success? In his mind they’re interchangable. He likes doing a good job at things. At the end of the day though he’s more into happiness.
What was your character’s favorite toy as a child? He was really into batman and had some cool action figures. Brandon calls him “boy wonder” sometimes still.
Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others? Wisdom. He’s seen too many movies where the ambition of man leads to hubris and a downfall.
What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before? He’s a doormat who will take a lot of nonsense from people he’s seeing until it all boils over at once, and tends to not start arguments but definitely continue them. He’s also overly negative/critical at times. This lead to an incredibly messy divorce that lead him to resign from the force (since his ex worked with him) and kind of distance himself from most of his friends.
In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism? He mostly compares himself on a professional level to criticize himself, although there are moments where he mentally goes “I’m a tall sack of crap in a crappy trenchcoat and this person looks astounding”.
If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others? He usually thinks “this is just a thing that happens”, but most of the time if he’s blaming things he’s blaming himself.
What does your character like in other people? He likes honesty and straightforwardness, along with the ability to have fun with themselves.
What does your character dislike in other people? Coldness and callousness. He likes people who are honest, but you can only take it too far before being an asshole at heart.
How quick is your character to trust someone else? Depends on what they need to be trusted in and what they do. Clark believes actions are louder than words, and some of his actions are
How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person? If there’s reason to investigate, there’s reason to investigate. That said, if he knows the person, he often goes to them first to try and get the story of what’s happening before getting them in real trouble.
How does your character behave around children? Cool uncle. But like, a chill cool uncle. Benji, one of his nephews, has literally ran away to end up at his house after getting in a fight with his parents before.
How does your character normally deal with confrontation? He tries to be a calming and defusing presence, but is quick to action if he thinks someone could get hurt.
How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation? Quick if they’re hurting something or doing something that could hurt others, slow otherwise.
What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true? Clark basically always thought detectives were cool. He got real interested in cooking in high school, but by then it was too little too late.
What does your character find repulsive or disgusting? Gross food, unclean kitchens, and slutwear in public. Satur, an incubus who’s bonded to his freeloading roommate, typically is responsible for two of these at all times.
Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable. Watching Casablanca for the millionth time and eating good food.
Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable. Having to introduce his real life friends to magical elements, especially if they have a fear of what he’s introducing.
In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve? Defensive, but he won’t say anything about it out loud. He’ll usually get mad quietly, and rant about it later. He takes criticism better if someone means well by it.
Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method? If it’s meant to work in that situation (whether or not it still does), he’ll try over and over before finally moving on. If it’s just a guess or an idea, he’ll just as quickly jump ship onto something that will possibly work.
How does your character behave around people they like? He is the unfortunate but necessary Dad Friend. But like, a cool dad. He tends to get worried for other’s safety easily and he’s always willing to lend a hand or an ear to people.
How does your character behave around people they dislike? He’s somewhat unsubtle in his contempt of people he dislikes, but tends to avoid rather than cause a scene if they share mutual friends or it’d be a bad time to get in a fight.
Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status? Honor. Clark doesn’t really care about his position in life, but likes to think of himself as a good person and secretly tries styling himself after a noir hero.
Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat? He is more likely to remove the threat than remove himself, if it’ll help other people.
Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)? Got bit by a class rabbit once. Ever since, he’s been nervous around animals (which is why he prefers living in a city).
How does your character treat people in service jobs? He’s polite, tips well, and is generally understanding about stuff, but he’s the kind of person who will pull out case notes and sit for hours looking over his work without actually ordering anything.
Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first? Clark usually feels like he needs to earn things, but he still gets frustrated when he doesn’t get them right away.
Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them? He’s had role models, but never a parental figure other than his own.
Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them? He’s had a freeloader (who became a capable adult with the help of an incubus), a “son” (not flesh and blood but made of magic), and someone else’s kid after they disappeared suddenly.
How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it? The other person has to say it first usually, and he usually doesn’t say it unless he’s in a setting where it’s just him and the other person. He’s not a big fan of vulnerability in front of more than one person. He can’t say it without meaning it, too.
What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them? The thing that scares him is most blood mages just get really good at not dying. He’s scared he won’t, anymore.
