I don't have much else that's like a deep cut but if we look at their full names, Erebus Arctus Fradier and Neteri Crozien...

The captain of the HMS Erebus was Captain Franklin, and the captain of the Terror was Captain Crozier. So yeah I just uh. Mashed them. And then the "Arc" in Erebus's middle name is for...the Arctic. I am soooooo creative (⌐■_■)

As for other characters...Hjáll I honestly don't remember. It means "hill" in Icelandic, but I don't think that's what I was going for.

Shiori means "bookmark" in Japanese, and the idea of the name is from the song Aoi Shiori by Galileo Galilei, which is a very iconic anime opening 🤧 The sort of bittersweetness and idea that you can't go back to certain happy times are part of what I wanted to capture in her and Erebus's meeting, so it fit really well to me

And if we're talking about Castys...

This is from the game Night in the Woods, and I mainly stole the name because I thought it was cool and gave it to my silly guy OC. He became an immortal later, and then the line "but Castys refused to die" became even more fitting because yeah he sure did
